Hello, fellow Trainers. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. In the last chapter, Rwby caught a Wurmple which she nicknamed Thorn while the rest trained, though Nora and Ren found a Cheri Berry and Pecha Berry respectively. Wonder what Ren will do with those as you wish.

Now, it's time for Velvet's New Friend!

*Vale. Team Galactic Hideout. Joey "Jawbreaker" Cross. 20:12 pm*

It was a slightly stormy night in Vale. Rain pitter-pattered onto the ground. Joey was just standing outside the hideout, waiting for someone as . Good thing he was a patient man, unlike Torchwick. "Ugh… When will reinforcements arrive?" Roman growled.

Joey merely smirked. "Right about now." A stolen Bullhead landed, whipping up dirt around. The doors opened and five more Team Galactic Grunts, both male and female exited along with someone else. The last person to exit the Bullhead was a 19-year old Turtle faunus with long green hair with a red streak on the left side, a shell on her back, dark skin wearing silver glasses and in the basic Team Galactic uniform. She also had a hidden tattoo on her left leg that no one ever found out about. "Meet Rachel Beth Sanders, one of my personal crew." Hearing this made Roman freeze up.

"Joey! Glad you called!" Rachel smirked as shook his hand. "How's Sand Jaws?" Sand Jaws walked up to Rachel and pulled at her pant leg with his tiny hands. "Aw, I missed you too, Sand Jaws." She softly rubbed his head.

"Gible!" Sand Jaws was happy to see her again.

"I assume Dutch has been well." Joey guessed.

"Oh, we've been training." Rachel smirked. "I also completed this." She then brought out a blue shield with small holes for dust that looked like it could shift into a cannon mode. "I call this 'Tirtouga's Depth'."

"Very nice." Joey nodded. "So, are you and Dutch ready to help us out with this operation?"

"Sure thing, boss." Rachel grinned. This grin became wider when she spotted Roman. "You didn't tell me you were working with the Roman Torchwick."

"Not by choice. His incompetence is the reason you or I are even here right now." Joey rubbed his eyes.

"Hey! I'm insulted!" Roman snapped. "I keep telling you little red is no ordinary kid!"

"Whatever you say, Torchwick." Joey rolled his eyes. "Doesn't excuse your failure. That's why Rachel is even here right now." Roman rolled his eyes and growled.

"This is great! I actually get to work with Roman Torchwick!" Rachel squealed in her mind.

"Anyway, Rachel, are you sure you're ready to fight?" Joey asked, just be sure.

"Yes, Joey. I am ready and so is Dutch." Rachel answered with a cocky smile.

*Beacon Academy. Team JNPR's Dorm Room. 07:02 am*

Team JNPR was actually up early today. They actually finished their homework, so they had a free day. Nora and Ren were planning to talk to Professor Peach about the berries they found, leaving Jaune and Pyrrha to themselves, and they were planning to go to Vale so that Jaune could start searching for a gun to have an extra weapon. Ruby wanted to go as well, but she and her team still had an assignment to do. "You two ready to go to Vale?" Ren asked.

"Yep." Jaune smiled. "You and Nora ready to talk to Professor Peach?"

"You bet we are, fearless leader!" Nora fist-pumped.

"Good to hear. We'll see you two later, but we'll call you if anything happens." Pyrrha informed. With that, the two pairs of JNPR walked to their separate paths. Achilles was clinging onto Pyrrha's back and Ace was on his usual spot on Jaune's shoulder. When they reached the Bullhead, they spotted Velvet sitting by herself.

"Hey, Velvet!" Jaune waved. Velvet saw the two and smiled. She got up and went over to sit with them. "How are you doing?"

"Hello, you two. I'm good. Just going to get some Poke-Balls." Velvet said. "I actually want to catch a Pokemon."

"Really? What brought this on?" Pyrrha asked.

"I saw Pokemon when I was a child. I just never thought I would ever get the chance to get one." Velvet explained.

"Hey, you wanna come with us?" Jaune offered. "We're heading into Vale to get me a gun."

Velvet thought about it for a minute before answering with a small smile. "Sure. Maybe we can help each other out."

An hour later, the three were in Vale heading to a weapons shop. Velvet started spending time with Jaune as they both shared a couple of hobbies, art and writing stories. She greatly enjoyed her time with the blonde knight.

"I see something." Pyrrha said, stopping the other two. Jaune and Velvet looked to where Pyrrha pointed where they saw a brown rabbit with black, beady eyes, and beige feet and three tufts of poofy fur on its lower half, and two smaller tufts, one on each ear.

"Buneary!" The wild Buneary jumped when it saw the trio.

"A Buneary." Jaune said.

Velvet was staring at it while the Buneary looked at Velvet, specifically her ears. "Buneary." It spoke.

"Me?" Velvet pointed to herself. She crouched down. "It's okay. I won't hurt you."

"Bu." The Buneary nodded as it slowly started walking towards her. Jaune and Pyrrha made sure not to say anything or even move. Velvet was careful in picking it up. "Bu." It snuggled into Velvet's body.

"Aww, you're so cute." Velvet quietly cooed, cradling the Pokemon like a baby. "You want to come with me?" The Buneary nodded wholeheartedly. "What should I call you?" She thought before an idea came to mind. "Thumper. From now on, you'll be Thumper."

"Buneary!" Thumper cheered, liking the name.

"Congratulations, Vel." Jaune smiled. "You have a new friend." He then took an empty Poke-Ball and gave it to Velvet. "Here. You'll need this to transport Thumper better."

"Jaune, I… Thank you." Velvet's smile grew as she took the Poke-Ball and put Thumper inside it.

"Welcome to the world of Pokemon, Velvet." Jaune said. "Well, we're gonna have to go to the Poke-Store now anyway." They started walking towards their destination and got what they needed, including a set of Poke-Balls for Velvet along with some potions.

"Thanks for helping me with this." Velvet had a very grateful smile.

"No problem, Velvet. Though, now that you have a Pokemon, you'll have to check in with Ms. Goodwitch so you can join us in Professor Rowan's Pokemon class." Jaune explained.

"There's a class dedicated on Pokemon now?" Velvet asked, shocked.

"Oh, yeah." Pyrrha answered with a giggle. "We're learning about our friends."

"Bagon." Achilles nodded before nuzzling his trainer's chin.

"Rufflet." Ace let out a friendly squawk.

Jaune chuckled. "Ace says welcome to our world, Velvet."

"Aw, thanks, guys." Velvet blushed lightly with a smile. Suddenly, her ears shot up straight. "We're not alone here."

Jaune and Pyrrha got into defensive stances. Who emerged was a 17-year old Wolf Faunus with tan skin, short black hair and golden eyes wearing a simple black jacket with a Zorua in the center, black jeans, black and white sneakers. She had a Deino with hanging on her right shoulder. She had twin golden guns holstered at her hips. Jaune's eyes widened when he saw who it was. "Ebonie?"

"Jaune, is that really you?" Ebonie rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't imagining things. "Jaune!" She ran up and hugged the blonde knight tightly with a wide smile. "I can't believe it's you!"

"I didn't think I'd see you again, Ebonie." Jaune smiled.

"Excuse us, Jaune, but who is this?" Pyrrha raised an eyebrow.

The two seperated from the hug so Ebonie could explain. "Wow! Pyrrha Nikos! Didn't think I'd meet you, ever!" She cleared her throat, calming down. "I'm Ebonie Star, a childhood friend of Jaune's. Years ago, I was passing through his hometown when I saved him from some bullies. We became best friends after that."

"Okay, but what about your Pokemon?" Velvet asked, curious.

"Oh, Dark-Fang?" Ebonie lightly rubbed her Deino's chin, making it smile more. "I actually stumbled upon this little guy fighting a whole pack of Beowolves on his own. Pretty brave, but I stepped in and helped out. We've been together ever since." Ebonie finished, keeping her smile before turning back to Jaune. "I didn't think you'd be going to Beacon with Pyrrha Nikos of all people."

"Well, here I am." Jaune shrugged with a smile. He then wondered what his friend was even doing in Vale. "What're you doing here, anyway?"

"Oh, I just happened to be passing by and figured why not." Ebonie shrugged. "However, I heard some Team Galactic activity was happening here."

"Really? Do you know where?" Jaune asked, suddenly turning serious.

"From what I heard, it would be at the docks in a couple days for a dust shipment." Ebonie informed "I also heard the White Fang may be working there as well."

"I see." Jaune said before leaning in to whisper in the wolf faunus's ear, sparking a pang of jealousy from Pyrrha. "Have you heard from Percival, Lance, or any other Knights?"

"I have not, though Gwain told me he talked to you in private." Ebonie whispered.

"Yes. He told me that everything is still okay back home." Jaune whispered back.

"That's good." Ebonie smiled. "Hey, let's talk more often from now own. We haven't seen each other in a few years."

"That would be great, but not right now. Pyrrha, Velvet, and I have to get going back to Beacon." Jaune said.

"Sure. I'll be on my way. Nice seeing you again, Jaune." Ebonie smiled. Waving at Pyrrha and Velvet who waved back, the wolf faunus took off.

"She seemed nice." Velvet smiled lightly.

"Yes, she was." Pyrrha agreed, although some of it sounded a little forced. "Let's get going." The trio began making their way back to Beacon, but they were thinking about what Ebonie had told them regarding Team Galactic and the White Fang."

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. In the beginning, one of Joey's personal crew: Rachel Beth Sanders shows up with additional Team Galactic reinforcements. If one of Joey's personal crew has shown up, something big might go down.

We take some personal time with the J and P of JNPR. Ren and Nora go to talk to Professor Peach while Jaune and Pyrrha head into Vale to help Jaune look for a gun, joined by Velvet. In Vale however, Velvet coincidentally gets her very first Pokemon in Buneary which she names Thumper in honor of her uncle. Later on, Velvet is welcomed by Jaune and Pyrrha into the world of Pokemon.

Third of all, Jaune, Pyrrha, and Velvet run into an old friend of Jaune's named Ebonie Star. Ebonie explains how she helped out Jaune with some bullies years ago and the two became best friends as well as when she met her Deino which she'd named Dark-Fang when he was fighting off a whole pack of Beowolves. I'd like to thank write n wrong for this OC. Jaune and Ebonie also whisper about more friends of theirs back in Jaune's hometown, inadvertantly sparking some jealousy with Pyrrha.
