Hello, fellow trainers. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. In the last chapter, Nora and Yang got their second Pokemon in Slakoth and Geodude respectively Jaune also got to show off a bit of his strategic skills. At the end of the Emerald Forest Cavern, they enter a room full of paintings of Legendary Pokemon that they don't recognize except for Giratina whom Summer, Ruby, and Yang whisper about.
Not only that, but Ruby's Wurmple, Thorn evolves into Silcoon. This was the very first time our heroes saw a Pokemon evolve.

Now, here's the Fight at the Docks!
*Vale. Teams Rwby & Jnpr. 11:23 am*
The two teams were just walking around Vale. Their Pokemon were inside their Poke-Balls just to be safe against Team Galactic should they show up out of nowhere. Mostly, they were talking about the Vytal Festival. They encountered some police officers with Growlithes at their sides. They were debating whether or not the dust robberies were the White Fang's doing or if it was Team Galactic.
"I honestly think it was more likely Team Galactic." Weiss whispered. "I haven't heard anything about the White Fang killing cops."
Blake smiled slightly at Weiss. "Well, I'd like to check out the docks anyway."
"Sounds like a mission." Nora rubbed her hands together with a grin. "Thor hasn't seen any action for a bit since our mission in that cavern."
"Easy, Nora." Ren said, calming her down. "We will go, but we must be vigilant. We need stealth and not rush in."
"Well, that's gonna be hard for Yang and Nora." Weiss lightly snarked.
"Hey!" Yang and Nora put their hands on their hips.
"Ace could be aerial reconnaissance." Jaune added.
"Shadow could join me in sneaking around there." Blake added up.
"If this is Team Galactic, they could have Zubats. I just remembered that from the night Professor Goodwitch found me." Ruby snapped her fingers in remembering. "We need to be on the watch for those. They have Absorb in their move set."
"But them having Zubats means Thor can join in." Nora grinned. "He's an electric type which is super effective."
"So, we have a plan." Jaune said.
"Let's get going, then." Weiss said before bumping into someone. It was a girl who had short orange hair that went to her chin, with a pink bow tied in the back, she had vibrant green eyes and freckles adorned her face, she stood at 5 feet 5 inches. She wore an old-fashioned blouse with short feminine overalls, as well as a black and green collar with a matching pair of stockings.
''Uhh, Weiss?'' Yang drew Weiss' attention to Penny, making her get up.
''Salutations!'' said the girl in a cheery tone.
''Hello.'' ''Heya.'' came the replies from Ruby and the others
''Are you OK?'' Yang asked Penny.
''I'm wonderful, thank you for asking.'' said Penny in her usual happy demeanor.
''Do you want to get up?'' Yang asked with uncertainty.
Penny seemed to think about it for a few seconds before nodding ''Yes!'' she said before jumping back up, making everyone take a step back ''My name is Penny! It's a pleasure to meet you!''
''Hi Penny, I'm Ruby.'' Ruby introduced herself before the rest of her team sounded off.
''I'm Weiss.''
"Blake."
''Are you sure you didn't hit your head?'' Yang said which earned her an elbow to the ribs courtesy of Blake ''Oh, I'm Yang.''
"I'm Jaune."
"Nora!"
"Pyrrha."
"Ren."
''It's a pleasure to meet you all!'' Penny repeated herself.
''You already said that.'' Weiss pointed out.
Penny's face scrunched up in thought for a moment ''So I did!''
''Well, sorry for running into you.'' Weiss said, before turning around and leaving along with everybody else, giving Penny a small wave.
''Take care friend.'' Ruby said.
''She was... weird.'' Yang said uncertainty.
Suddenly Penny was in front of them again ''What did you call me?'' she said while looking at Ruby.
Yang thought she was talking to her though ''Oh, I'm really sorry, I really didn't think you heard me.'' All the while Weiss was looking back and forth from where they were a minute ago and back to Penny with wide eyes.
''No, not you.'' Penny said to Yang and then walking up to Ruby ''You.''
''Me?'' Ruby said uncertainty. ''I don't know, what I, um.''
''You called me friend. Am I really your friend?'' Penny asked hopefully.
Ruby looked uncertain again and looked at her team, the girls signing no in different ways with their hands.
''Yeah sure. Why not?'' Ruby said with a smile, which caused the other girls to fall down. Team JNPR snickered at her team's reaction.
''Sensational!'' said Penny while throwing her arms in the air. "You hear that, Yottabyte? We have a new friend!" Suddenly, a Porygon floated to her and nuzzled her cheek.
"Whoa!" Ruby's eyes sparkled. "You have a Pokemon?"
"Yes, this is Yottabyte. My first Pokemon partner." Penny rubbed Yottabyte affectionately. "He's a Porygon."
"You named your Pokemon yottabyte?" Weiss raised an eyebrow.
"Excuse me, Weiss, but what is a yottabyte?" Pyrrha asked politely.
"The largest unit of data to date. 1 septillion bytes." Weiss answered, making Ruby, Jaune, and Ren's eyes go wide while Yang, Blake, Nora, and Pyrrha were greatly confused by what the heiress was saying.
"What!" All three exclaimed at once.
''Soo, what are you doing in Vale?'' Yang asked Penny.
''I'm here to fight in the tournament.'' she said with determination.
''Wait, you're fighting in the tournament?'' Weiss asked in surprise.
''I'm combat ready. So it Yottabyte.'' Penny answered with certainty.
''Forgive me, but you hardly look the part.'' Weiss said to Penny.
''Says the girl wearing a dress.'' Blake said dryly.
''It's a combat skirt.'' Weiss shot back to Blake, with Ruby joining in with a ''Yeah.'' and high-fiving Weiss.
''Wait a minute.'' Weiss said and walked towards Penny ''If you're here for the tournament, have you noticed any people with bright aqua green hair, male or female, running around?"
"Yes, I have noticed some. I believe they are called Team Galactic." Penny answered. "It is my opinion that they are more dangerous than the White Fang."
"Have you spotted them at the docks?" Blake then asked.
"No, I have not seen them, but I did record a conversation on my scroll." Penny brought out her scroll and played back a recording. The group's eyes widened as it basically said that Team Galactic's operation at the docks was underway.
"They're already doing this operation as we speak." Pyrrha's eyes widened a little. "We have to go there now."
"I wonder if Ebonie will join us." Jaune said. "Deino is a great Pokemon to have help from."
"I would like to help my friend." Penny smiled.
"What moves does Yottabyte have?" Jaune asked.
Penny checked her Poke-Scroll. "Yottabyte knows Conversion, Conversion 2, Tackle, Sharpen, Psybeam, Agility, Recycle, and Magnet Rise."
"Okay, so your Pokemon is no doubt the same power level as ours." Jaune mused. "Alright, you can come with us, but you'll be in the back covering our six."
"Sensational!" Penny cheered, jumped in the air. Ruby giggled at her antics.
It only took an hour, but the group made it to the docks where they saw Team Galactic there along with White Fang soldiers and Roman Torchwick directing along with Joey "Jawbreaker" Cross and Rachel Beth Sanders. "It's Torchwick." Ruby whispered, immediately recognized.
"So, they're all working together." Ren voiced quietly. "Who are the other two standing beside him?"
"I don't know. I haven't seen them before." Yang shook her head.
"I'd hoped the White Fang wasn't involved, but I always had a gut feeling that wasn't the case." Blake lowered her head a bit.
Ace suddenly came back and landed right beside his trainer. "Okay, Ace. Thank you. Ruby, you should take a sniper position and take Penny with you."
"On it, Jaune." Ruby nodded as she and Penny went to their position.
"Weiss, how do you feel about you and Nora being long-range?" Jaune asked. "Maybe you and her can come up with a combo attack."
"An interesting idea, Arc, but is it sound?" Weiss asked. as she thought about it for a minute.
"I think so cause we're outnumbered." Jaune answered. "We should attempt a long-range plan."
"Yang, you and Pyrrha are artillery." Jaune brought up. "You can use Ember Celica and Johnny along with Ben to knock them senseless."
"Sounds good to me, Jaune." Yang grinned. "How bout you, P-Money?"
"We should be able to work together well." Pyrrha added.
"Ren and I will join you two in close-quarters." Jaune gestured to his mostly silent teammate and himself. "Now we have a plan. So, let's do it."
Roman, Joey, and Rachel were overlooking the Team Galactic and White Fang soldiers collect the dust and load it into the Bullheads stationed there. "See, Roman? It's easy to complete your objectives when you're not obsessing about how you were beaten by a child." Joey snarked.
"For the last time, Joey, that 'child' was more skilled than you realize." Torchwick growled as he about had it with Joey's attitude towards him.
"I doubt that child is skilled enough to take on a real challenge like me." Joey remarked.
At this point, Roman was losing it. "You know what?! I have had it with your damn attitude towards me as I am the sole reason your so called 'forces' are even in Vale right now!"
"Are you insinuating that you're actually competent enough to lead Team Galactic forces in Vale?" Joey actually looked Roman in the eyes saying that. "Look where your leadership has gotten you."
"Oh, yeah? If your leadership skills are so great, where were you all this time, huh? Have you been protecting our interests here? No! Have you been directing where we collect dust? No! It's been me!" Roman shouted.
Rachel was watching the two arguing with interest. Inside, she was liking Torchwick's fire growing. "He really is something when he's like this. He really is great." She sighed dreamily in her mind.
"Sir!" A Team Galactic Grunt called out, stopping the two from coming to real blows.
"What is it?" Joey asked, quickly calming down.
"We have all the dust coordinated." The Team Galactic Grunt informed.
"Excellent." Joey grinned before turning to Roman with said grin. "You see, Torchwick? That's how to get your missions done." Roman growled under his breath, just wanting to punch Joey at this point.
However, just as they were going to leave the docks, a shot was heard. "Where'd the shot come from?!" Joey demanded to know.
"W-We don't know, sir!" The Team Galactic Grunt shook his head nervously. He then saw another Team Galactic Grunt down holding his stomach in pain, groaning. "One of us got hit by that shot in the stomach!"
"Everyone! Bring out your Pokemon!" Joey ordered as he brought out Sand Jaws. The Team Galactic Grunts along with Rachel followed suit as she released Dutch while the Grunts brought out Stunkys, Glameows, and Zubats. They weren't the only ones however as the White Fang soldiers had Pokemon of their own: Glameows and Nidorans ( ) while Torchwick brought out Shadowfire. "Be ready for an attack!"
The Grunts and soldiers were looking around for the source of the shot. Suddenly, a whistling sound was heard. "What is that?" A White Fang soldier asked, their weapon at the ready. In seconds, a gray and pink grenade with a heart in the middle exploded right in front of a bunch of other White Fang soldiers, knocking them back. As a few Team Galactic Grunts went to help them up, several dust rounds hit them in their mid-sections which knocked them back as well.
That wasn't all as a glyph with the Schnee symbol appeared out of nowhere and sent a few more White Fang soldiers back a few feet. More Team Galactic Grunts were hurt from small rocks hurled at them. "What the hell is going on?!" Joey shouted.
Rachel was looking around on her own until she spotted Ruby on a roof with Crescent Rose in sniper form, just keeping tabs on their forces. "There! There's someone on that roof!"
Joey and Roman looked to where Rachel was pointing. "Who is that?!" Joey asked, obviously irritated.
Roman on the other hand, knew exactly who it was. "Looks like Little Red is here and it seems she has friends now. fan-fucking-tastic.'' Roman said, groaning as he didn't want to see her again.
"That's the child who beat you?" Joey asked, looking at Roman. When the thief nodded, Joey actually burst out laughing. "Y-You're kidding, right? She looks about fourteen! You were beaten by a shortstack!"
"First, she's petite. Second, how about you prove your worth and go and beat her. I'll stay here and watch and see if you're all talk or not." Roman then declares with a smirk.
"Gladly. When I beat her, you'll become even more of a laughingstock in our organization." Joey snarked, confident he could beat Ruby and her Pokemon. "Everyone! If any others come out into the open, deal with them!" He then went to meet Ruby Rose in their own field of battle.
"Yes, sir!" The Team Galactic Grunts and White Fang soldiers nodded. However, as they turned back around, one of them was met with a blunt end of a weapon slamming into their head, knocking them down.
"Okay, Ren! Let's do it!" Jaune shouted as he had Ace on his shoulder along with Crocea Mors in his hands while Ren had Lotus and Stormflower ready to fight. They split up to fight on their own. The other six pairs were taking their positions per Jaune's plan. This was it! The Battle of the Vale Docks had begun!
Jaune was using his sword to cut up the enemy weapons, but he was also making sure to dodge out of enemy weapons fire. He was carefully aiming Crocea Mors at the enemy weapons. The first time he swung his sword down, it cut the first weapon in half. He then heard a whistling sound, getting him to dodge a bullet shot at him and bringing up his shield just in time to block more bullets directed at him. A
ce was flying through the battle when he noticed a group of three pokémon charging at him. He glares at the challenge and flies straight at them. A Glameow goes in first with a scratch attack to which Ace ducks under before slamming his nearest wing into them, his feathers glowing with bright flying type energy. He then saw a Stunky unleash a purple cloud of Poison Gas. Glaring at the Stunky, he flew over the Poison Gas cloud and dove at it at high speed and used Peck directly on the enemy's head, knocking it back and out. Another Stunky approached Ace, poised to take him down. His wings began glowing again with the bright flying type energy. He waited for the Stunky to get close enough. He then slammed his wing into the nearing skunk pokémon before they could tackle him.
Ace then heard a Zubat flying behind him and using Supersonic, trying to confuse him, but the Eaglet Pokemon was too fast as he dodged the attack. "Ace, make sure not to tire yourself out!" Jaune called out. The blonde knight linked back up with his Pokemon partner. "You doing okay there?"
"Rufflet!" Ace squawked.
"Okay, but let's work together now! We'll watch each other's backs!" Jaune pointed out.
Ace flew straight at the Zubat, using his sharp talons to inflict damage to the Bat Pokemon and bringing it down. A Team Galactic Grunt noticed this and raised their weapon to shoot Ace, but Jaune hit them with his shield before punching him in the face. However, he heard guns clicking and getting ready to fire. His defensive instincts kicked in once again as he used his shield to block enemy fire, but this meant they were distracted from Ace as the Eaglet Pokemon actually picked up one of the weapons, flew into the air, and dropped it onto their head. "Nice one, Ace!" Jaune chuckled.
"Ruff!" Ace chirped as if he too was chuckling at what he just did.
"Hey, Ace! How bout a combo attack?" Jaune suggested.
Ace had an idea what his trainer was talking about. He flew down and was beside Jaune as he ran to the people firing at them. When the blonde knight got close enough, he bashed them with his shield which allowed Ace to use Peck, Wing Attack, and Fury Attack on them. Their enemies were being knocked back as a result of the attacks. They barely had time to react as Jaune punched them, swung his sword down on their weapons, and knocked them off their feet. "That's it, Ace! Keep it up!" Jaune cheered.
"Rufflet!" Ace squawked as that was his own way of cheering on his trainer.
We then moved on to Jaune's teammate: Lie. While Ren wasn't as physically strong as Jaune, he was a little more nimble. He fired shots from Stormflower in short bursts, barely giving his enemies time to react as he kicked them down hard. Being nimble meant he could evade enemy weapons fire with more ease as he was jumping out of the way. "Damn you, human! Stand still!" A White Fang soldier growled as he fired at the silent ninja. Ren didn't respond to the taunt as he moved around behind the White Fang soldier and karate chopped him in the neck, knocking him unconscious. Ren wasn't finished however as he ran towards a Team Galactic Grunt, making them take cover by firing more shots from Stormflower. Reaching the grunt, he performed a sweep kick which knocked the grunt off their feet. While they were down, he delivered another chop to knock them out. He then saw another White Fang soldier about to fire on him, but he jumped into the air and seconds later, used two fingers to hit a certain pressure point on the soldier, making them twitch and fall to the ground with barely a sound.
With Lotus, he'd just evaded a Scratch attack from an enemy Glameow, but he'd been hit with an Acid Spray attack from a Stunky beforehand, so his HP was lower than it should've been. Narrowing his eyes, he reached out his hands. At first, the Glameow was confused as to what Lotus was doing as it tilted its head, but then bright yellow orbs began flowing out of it and into Lotus, restoring his HP in seconds. The Glameow was weak enough for the Wood Gecko Pokemon to smack it down with his tail. A Zubat that thought Lotus wasn't focusing was on him, but Lotus seemed to smirk as he suddenly created bright green energy constructs in the shape of leaves and fired them at the Zubat that was shocked by this attack and became distracted. It didn't notice that Lotus was climbing on a nearby box and jumped onto it to bring it to ground level, taking it out.
The Stunky that hit Lotus with the Acid Spray was back to try and take the Wood Gecko Pokemon out. Lotus was a little nervous as the Stunky's Acid Spray attack was super effective against him. The Stunky fired another Acid Spray, but Lotus dodged by using Quick Attack, hitting the Skunk Pokemon. However, the Stunky quickly used Poison Gas just before Lotus could fully evade which caused Lotus to start glowing purple.
Luckily, Ren was there to bail him out at the last minute as the silent martial artist grabbed his Pokemon and jumped to safety. "Lotus, are you okay?" He asked in concern which rose when he saw the purple glowing.
"T-Tree…" Lotus groaned in pain, coughing up purple smoke.
"It'll be okay." Ren quickly took out his Pecha Berry Powder which he gave a little bit to Lotus and it healed him of the poison. "There. Better."
"Treecko!" Lotus smiled, thankful his human partner cured him of the poison.
"Well, let's work together from this point. I don't want to run the risk of you getting poisoned again." Ren smiled softly as his partner.
Ren and Lotus ran toward the Stunky and the Team Galactic Grunt standing beside it. Ren fired Stormflower while Lotus used Leafage to be extra sure that the Grunt wouldn't return fire at all. This gave Ren what he needed to kick the Grunt to the ground and knock him out with a chop while Lotus used Quick Attack on the Stunky again, but managed to dodge the Poison Gas this time and used Pound to bring it down. "Nice speed, Lotus." Ren smiled.
"Treecko!" Lotus smirked while giving his own version of a thumbs up.
Next up was Pyrrha and Achilles. Needless to say, Pyrrha was sweeping the floor with her opponents even without using her semblance. She used Akouo to bash the White Fang Soldiers out of her way which gave her the time she needed to bash them with the blunt end of Milo in rifle form. As soon as she did that, he heard a gun clicking to open fire. Instead of blocking it though, she threw Akouo which hit the White Fang Soldier, knocking him down. She then subtly used her semblance to bring her shield back to her. Not only that, but she shifted Milo into javelin form and threw it at another White Fang Soldier which hooked their uniform and sent them flying into a nearby dust container which was thankfully empty, but the soldier hit their head and was out of the fight.
Achilles was kinda having a blast just bashing his head into enemy Pokemon. It was as hard as tempered steel, after all. He wasn't even using his moveset most of the time as his head itself seemed like it was good enough to do the job. However, when he saw a Zubat, he quickly fired Dragon Breath from his mouth, bringing the enemy Zubat down in a matter of seconds. Achilles looked at a Nidoran ( ), and smirked. The Nidoran ( ) used Poison Sting, but the Rock Head Pokemon just lowered his head and took the attack like a champ, not feeling anything. Then, he started running towards his target with his head still lowered. When he got there, he raised his head and used Bite, which brought the Nidoran ( ) down. However, the White Fang Soldiers had a third Pokemon in their roster: Houndour. The Houndour and Achilles just stared each other down intensely for a full minute before the Houndour unleashed an Ember attack which Achilles met with Dragon Breath. The two attacks collided, white fighting against orange. The two fiery blasts were pushing against each other trying to win over the other when the Dragon Breath finally won out and pushed through the Ember hitting and defeating the Houndour.
Achilles let out a victorious roar just as Pyrrha showed up. "That was amazing, Achilles!"
"Bagon!" Achilles smiled.
"Why don't we try a combination strategy?" Pyrrha asked. "Would you like that?"
"Bagon!" Achilles nodded his head rapidly. Pyrrha shifted Milo back into javelin mode and readied it as Achilles hopped on, his head in forward position. With that, Pyrrha launched Milo into the sky while Achilles had his tongue sticking out of his mouth. Pyrrha then used her semblance again to point Milo straight down which gave her Pokemon the chance to use Dragon Breath again, but this time at the ground where a bunch of White Fang soldiers were standing. Just as Achilles and Milo hit the ground, he used his head to shield his body from the impact.
When the smoke and dust cleared, Achilles was standing there without a scratch. He was smirking as Pyrrha ran over to him. She picked him up with a smile. "That was incredible, Achilles!" The spartan cheered.
Fourth on the list was Blake and Shadow. Ren may have been more silent than her, but she had her own ways for being nimble. Whenever a Team Galactic Grunt or White Fan soldier hit her, she just disappeared into shadows. Her semblance allowed her to use the ribbon on Gambol Shroud to tie up two at a time and knock them out. She made sure to not hang around too long before going to the next pair. She was using her semblance to extend the ribbon as well as not get hit. Whenever the final shadow clone was hit, the ribbon will have already tied up said pair.
Shadow was having less success than the others as his moveset wasn't the greatest right now. However, he still had his illusions which was what he was going to have to use for the most part. Looking around, he saw a Houndour and seemingly transformed into that Pokemon. Shadow, in his Houndour illusion, looked at a Stunky and fired an Ember attack., weakening it, but not defeating it. the Stunky retaliated with Acid Spray, but Shadow managed to evade it. When he was behind the Stunky, Shadow reverted back and finished it off with Fury Swipes which hit about four times. Transforming into the just defeated Stunky, he went off to do more work. Shadow saw a Glameow and hit it with Acid Spray. It may have been weaker than the real deal, but it was still a nasty attack as the Glameow's eyes were watering. He then used Scratch to bring it down. He chose to not transform into the Glameow and just pressed on.
Blake was a little surprised to see the Stunky running towards her until it turned back into Shadow. Smiling, she caught the Tricky Fox Pokemon as he leapt into her arms. "I see you were blending in."
"Zorua." Shadow nodded.
"Hey, let's try something." Blake got an idea. "I hope you're ready for this, Shadow."
Blake then ran towards a large group, looking scared. She had her arms up in apparent fear. "Look behind you! Get the hell out of there!" She screamed in terror.
"Like we would believe a traitor." A white Fang soldier sneered. "Prepare to fire!" However, just as they were about to fire, they heard growling. Turning around, they saw an Ursa Major which roared at them. Needless to say, the group was scared now, but just as they were about to escape the Grimm's jaws, Blake came in and took them all out with kicks, Gambol Shroud's ribbon along with Gambol Shroud itself.
"Zorua." Shadow giggled, almost flat out laughing as he jumped back into Blake's arms.
"Not bad, Shadow. Not bad at all." Blake smiled.
On another part of the battlefield, Yang was running around, firing shots from Ember Celica as she just punched out Team Galactic Grunts as well as White Fang Soldiers. She had a massive grin on her face as she was loving this. However, she still made sure to not get hit by enemy weapons fire. "Come on, is that the best you guys can do?" She taunted. She was having a ton of fun just punching out bad guys and there were more than enough for her to continue to do so. "You guys suck at your jobs!" She proceeded to punch one of the baddies in the stomach hard before slugging them in the face. Another tried to punch her in the face, but she easily blocked it and punched them back, making their aura flicker. A Team Galactic Grunt tried kicking her, but she yawned as she just grabbed them and slammed them onto the ground.
Johnny was using Smokescreen to obscure vision as well as Ember afterwards to go in for the knockout punch. He would use Scratch if he did get in close quarters. He used Ember on a Glameow as he was running around. Seeing a Houndour, he decided to run in close instead of staying at range, ducking under the Ember and using Smokescreen right in its face, then Scratch to finish it off. He then used Ember to reach at least three Zubat. The Lizard Pokemon then saw another Houndour and tried to do the same thing as he used Smokescreen, but the Houndour used Smog instead to try and poison Johnny. The two clouds collided with each other, but the Smog easily overpowered the Smokescreen. Johnny moved out of the way, ran back to the Houndour, and used Dragon Breath at point blank rage, definitely taking it down.
"That was great, Johnny!" Yang grinned.
"Charmander!" Johnny cheered.
"Now, I'm sorry, Johnny, but I'm gonna use Ben for something cool." Yang kept her grin. Johnny was a little sad hearing that, but he understood what Yang was talking about as his trainer recalled him and brought out Ben. "Alright, Ben. Time to rock and roll!"
Ben picked up a large rock and just chucked it at a large group of Team Galactic Grunts and White Fang Soldiers. Grinning, Yang fired a dust round soon after and that followed behind the rock. The rock hit the stomach of a Team Galactic Grunt, knocking them onto the ground. However, just before the rock began to fall to the ground, Yang's dust round hit it, causing the rock to explode, hitting the group with a bunch of rocky shrapnel. The group were on the ground, aura flickering from that attack. "Nice one, Ben! Talk about an explosive encore!" Yang and Ben fist-bumped with huge smiles on their faces.
Meanwhile, Nora had a manic grin on her face as she was slamming Magnhild into the bodies of several White Fang Soldiers and Team Galactic Grunts. She launched a Team Galactic Grunt slightly into the air and they came crashing back down into three more bad guys. Seeing a White Fang Soldier, She laughed as she fired a grenade into their stomach which flung him back into a small group and exploded just as they reached the small group. She then proceeded to jump up and slam Magnhild into the ground, knocking even more baddies off their feet. "This is awesome!" She screamed happily as she just swung her hammer into yet another Team Galactic Grunt, causing their aura to flicker.
Thor had an advantage while skittering around the enemy's Pokemon despite being a brighter color than any of them: He was smaller than them and he was just exploiting that to the max. He was just going around, using String Shot to tangle up Stunkys and Glameows. When he encountered a Houndour, he literally jumped onto its face and used Electroweb to shock it into defeat. When he was up against a Zubat, he used String Shot to slow it down and bring it closer to the ground. Then, he let out a screech as he used Electroweb to tangle it up and shock it. Thor then sensed more Stunkys coming up behind him. Once again, his size was his advantage as he ran around the three Stunkys with String Shot to wrap them up and the use Electroweb again, managing to shock all three of them.
"Thor, you are incredible!" Nora picked up Thor and cuddled him. "Now, should I use Moss or not?"
Thor shook his little head while cutely closing his eyes. Nora knew what the Attaching Pokemon meant. "Yeah, you're right. Moss still needs some time until he's ready to be out in the field against more than wild Pokemon. Alright, Thor. Let's do Shocker."
"Joltik!" Thor bounced up in excitement.
Nora fired a special Shock Grenade like the last time she did with Thor riding it, but this time, she launched it into the sky. When it got high enough, Thor began supercharging it. Then, it began to descend fast. When it was close enough to the group, Thor jumped off the grenade as it exploded, shocking the entire group into unconsciousness.
"You alright, Thor?" Nora asked softly.
"Joltik." Thor responded by snuggling with his trainer.
Weiss and Nicholas made their way across the battlefield using her glyphs to boost their speed until they reached the spot Roman Torchwick was watching the battle. When she got on top of the dust container he was standing on, Rachel was there as well. "Rachel, why don't you prep the Bullheads for departure?" Rachel saluted with a grin as she and Dutch ran to do just that. "Well, well, well, who would've figured that a Schnee would become one of Little Red's friends?"
"Roman Torchwick. You're different from what I expected." Weiss raised an eyebrow.
"What? Stout? Tall? Handsome?" Roman smirked, waving Melodic Cudgel around.
"Dumb." Weiss deadpanned.
Hearing that got Roman to stop dead in his tracks. "Really? I'm not the one acting on their own to try and bring in Remnant's Master Thief!" Roman grinned as Shadowfire came in front of him.
In response, Nicholas got in front of Weiss. "Ready, Nicholas?" Nicholas nodded with pride. "Let's take them down." She said,
"Ha! Do you know anything about Pokémon? If you did you'd know your little water duck doesn't stand a chance against my fire trickster. And yes before you correct I know it's a penguin." Roman then adds
"Need I remind you that you have the type disadvantage?" Weiss retorted.
Roman cackles even harder, "You think type advantage is all that matters?" he then asks, sounding very amused. "You're in over your head, snow queen." Roman snapped his fingers and his outfit seemed to gain purple flames that were the same color as his Lampent. Raising Melodic Cudgel, a blade of pure purple flame emerged from the gun nozzle.
"Shadowfire, Shadow Ball." Roman ordered and Shadowfire created a ball of darkness and launched it at the two. Weiss tried to deflect or block it, but it was too fast and hit her and Nicholas, knocking them off their feet. "That's the advantage of having a dual type Pokemon, more options."
Weiss and Nicholas slowly got back up and signs that they were hit hard by the Shadow Ball were evident. Both were covered in bruises and Weiss's aura was starting to flicker. The Penguin Pokemon was actually faltering in his combative stance. "Nicholas, Bubble." Weiss said. Nicholas launched a small stream of bubbles at Shadowfire who easily dodged, but that turned out to be a distraction as Weiss placed a glyph underneath the Lamp Pokemon, seemingly stopping it dead in its tracks. "Sometimes, strength and power aren't everything."
Roman chuckled. "Well, snow queen, I will admit that your teamwork is pretty nice, but you left yourself wide open." He then unleashed a wave of purple fire from his sword, causing Weiss to dodge and her glyph to dissipate. "Shadowfire, Confuse Ray." Shadowfire shot a ray at Nicholas. Within seconds, the Penguin Pokemon began feeling dizzy.
"Nicholas, what's wrong?" Weiss asked in pure concern.
"What? You've never seen a Pokemon confused before? You know, for a Schnee, you have serious gaps in your knowledge." Roman mocked.
"Shadowfire, I know you haven't been in combat for a while, but you've done a fantastic job, my friend." Roman patted Shadowfire who responded by twirling around in happiness. The two looked at Weiss and Nicholas. "Use Hex and finish them." The Lamp Pokemon's eyes glowed menacingly as well as brighter before Weiss and Nicholas erupted in a blast of ghostly energy. Both screamed in pain before Roman fired a bullet covered with purple flames that exploded in front of the two, knocking them off the dust container and onto the ground.
"That's what happens when you challenge Remnant's Greatest Thief." Roman snapped his fingers again and the flames disappeared.
Joey had finally made it to where Ruby was and quickly brought out Sand Jaws. "So, you're the one who beat Roman Torchwick. I was expecting someone older and more experienced."
"Just because I'm smaller doesn't mean I'm weaker." Ruby retorted as she brought out Rosebud and Thorn, ready to take Joey on.
"Whatever, shorty. I'm gonna beat you easily and prove to Roman that you beating him was nothing more than a fluke." Joey raised Garchomp's Bite on his right arm and fired a fire dust round which Ruby dodged. "Sand Jaws, Dragon Breath." Sand Jaws fired the attack from his mouth, but Ruby grabbed her two Pokemon and moved out of the way before the blast hit them.
"Thorn, String Shot!" Ruby commanded. The Cocoon Pokemon fired a string, tying up Sand Jaws. "Alright, Rosebud: Bite!" Rosebud ran up to the Gible and bit it, lowering its HP down, but not by much.
"That's all you got?" Joey taunted as Sand Jaws broke free. "Take Down!" Sand Jaws grabbed Rosebud and slammed her into the hard surface.
"Rosebud!" Ruby screamed in fear.
"So, it really was a fluke that you beat Torchwick." Joey grinned. "This is too easy."
"That's what you think!" Ruby raised her voice. "Thorn, Tackle!" Thorn moved as best she could and hit Sand Jaws. "Rosebud, Tackle as well!" The Puppy Pokemon tackled the Gible as well. Little by little, they were whittling Sand Jaws down.
"Grr, Sand Jaw, Sandtomb!" he then shouts, causing Gible to summon a whirling vortex of sand. He then fires at Rosebud but before it can hit Ruby yells, "Harden!" as Thorn jumps in the way, their body shining green for a second before tanking the sand base attack. "Alright keep it up!" Ruby then cheers her mons on.
Minutes had passed and Joey had figured out Ruby's strategy. She was having Thorn absorb any ground type attacks while using that pesky Harden move while Rosebud was using her speed to deliver more damage to Sand Jaws. "I won't let you win! Sand Jaws, target the Silcoon! Dragon Breath!" Sand Jaws fired white fire as Thorn which unfortunately hit the Silcoon, knocking it out of the fight as it fainted.
Ruby's eyes widened. THORN!" She screamed louder than before, running over to her second Pokemon and cradling it. Hearing Joey's laughter and the tone in said laughter, Ruby clenched her fist. "ROSEBUD, RETALIATE!" Rosebud was also pissed that her friend fainted and let out an angry bark as time seemed to slow down as she jumped past and hit Sand Jaws with the boosted attack, actually managing to knock out the Gible.
Joey was in shock. "H-H-How?!"
"It's called never underestimate me!" Ruby shouted.
"I won't let you win! I won't!" Joey's anger took over as he began to fire multiple shots from Garchomp's Bite, only for Ruby to dodge the shots, at one point even deflecting a couple with Crescent Rose.
"Are you sure you're fighting me cause your anger seems to be calling the shots for you." Ruby taunted, causing Joey to growl and run to her and slam his fist into her, only for her to evade it, resulting in him hitting the hard metal. If that hurt, he did a good job in not showing it as he stood up, his eyes fixated on taking this runt down.
"Wow, who taught you to fight?" Ruby continued to taunt. "Are you that worried I, a runt will beat you?" Joey was gritting his teeth, fully intending on beating Ruby into the ground.
"I'll grind you into paste!" Joey suddenly shouted as he charged Ruby.
"You sure? You're not doing a good job at that." Ruby smirked which made Joey even angrier. He ran at the little rose, his fists swinging as he holstered his weapon onto his back. Joey suddenly performed a roundhouse kick, taking Ruby by surprise, but not enough for her to not evade it. "Wow, that was close." She whispered to herself.
Joey was getting more and more pissed off as Ruby was just continually taunting his skills. "I'll kill you, runt!" He shouted as did a jump kick which Ruby avoided, but he then turned right back around and did a palm strike to her chest, making her skid back a couple of feet.
"Damn!" Ruby cursed to herself. She wasn't that great in hand-to-hand combat, but she knew she was faster than Joey. "Okay, I felt that one. Not bad, but my teammates hit harder than you!"
Joey shouted in pure rage as he ran at his full speed at Ruby who was just smirking. When Joey was upon her, she used Crescent Rose in scythe form to catch his left foot to flip him over and off the shipping container she was on. She saw him fall to the ground. "Ooh, you know, being beaten by a runt must be a blow to your fragile ego!"
Joey shouted in pure rage as he ran at his full speed at Ruby who was just smirking. When Joey was upon her, she used Crescent Rose in scythe form to catch his left foot to flip him over and off the shipping container she was on. She saw him fall to the ground. "Ooh, you know, being beat by a runt must be a blow to your fragile ego!"
Roman saw this and was trying his damndest to not just burst out laughing. "Oh, that prick is never gonna live this down. Retrieve Joey and let's get out of here! We have what we came for!" The Team Galactic Grunts did just that and got Joey while Ruby and the others were checking on Weiss and Nicholas.
"Weiss! Wake up! Please!" Ruby was close to tearing up seeing her partner hurt.
"Ooonnggh..." Weiss groaned, starting to sit up.
Rosebud was pushing Nicholas, who was also waking up thankfully. "Lillipup!" Rosebud nuzzled Nicholas who awkwardly patted her with his left flipper.
"Weiss..." Ruby noticed a small burn on her left leg. "You're burned!"
"I-It's nothing, Ruby." Weiss said in a low tone, not wanting to look at her team leader at the moment.
"Weiss, it's not nothing! Your aura must be depleted!" Ruby brought up.
"I'm fine, Ruby!" Weiss retorted.
The others ran to Ruby and Weiss. "Is Weiss okay?" Pyrrha asked.
"No! Her aura's depleted and she's been burned!" Ruby answered.
"I said I'm fine, Ruby!" Weiss repeated.
"Roman is getting away with the dust!" Blake shouted, pointing to the five Bullheads.
The last one that wasn't really involved with the big fight was Penny and Yottabyte. They had a different objective as they were looking for any signs of other bad presences in Vale. They found it when Penny saw an empty container with a symbol that looked like a volcano. "What could this mean?" However, all the sounds got Penny and Yottabyte to hop onto a container and not only saw her friend Ruby trying to comfort Weiss as it looked like the heiress was in pain, but also watching the Bullheads taking off. Narrowing her eyes, she brought out all her swords as her Porygon floated beside her. "Ready, Yottabyte?" Yottabyte nodded. Both began charging energy, but the difference was Yottabyte's energy was rainbow colored instead of bright green. "HYPER BEAM!" At that moment, both Penny and Yottabyte fired massive beams of energy which completely destroyed one of the five Bullheads in seconds.
Roman watched as a Bullhead got obliterated in seconds. "Alright, so we lost one, but we still have four thanks to me." He then sat down next to Joey with a huge grin. "So, how did you fare being beaten by Little Red?" Joey didn't respond as he was steaming. "That well, huh? Guess you can no longer call me incompetent."
Back with the group, Weiss wasn't saying anything, even as her burn was tended to. "Well, our mission was mostly a success." Ruby said, remaining optimistic.
"I wouldn't say that, Ruby. Roman got away with a lot of dust." Blake reminded.
"But we've probably halted their operations a bit." Pyrrha brought up.
"Yeah, that counts for something. Not to mention Ruby beat and humiliated a Team Galactic lieutenant or something." Jaune smiled at his fellow team leader.
"This was fun." Nora giggled, her Joltik still snuggling in her chest.
"I feel like we've taken the first steps into something truly bigger." Ren voiced. Everyone looked at each other as if trying to answer what Ren meant by that.
"Friend Ruby!" Penny cheered running up to the little rose and hugged her. "I'm happy you're okay!"
Ruby laughed. "You too, Penny!" Ruby hugged back.
"I just wanted to see that you were okay before I leave for now." Penny kept her smile. She then looked at everyone else. "I hope you all are okay also. I will see you all again. Goodbye!" With that, she walked off to a black car that was seemingly waiting for her. Meanwhile, the group waved at Penny, each sans Weiss saying goodbye to her as they began making their way back to Beacon.
Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. We have met Penny Polendina who has a Pokemon all her own which turns out to be a Porygon named Yottabyte. There is a huge difference as Sun Wukong has not shown up here yet, but he will show up in this story, just not right now. We have the confrontation at the docks which goes massively different as Team Galactic is also involved along with their Pokemon. At first As the battle ensues, the White Fang bring out Pokemon of their own, ranging from Glameows like Team Galactic to Nidorans ( ) to Houndours. Roman Torchwick reveals his upgrades inspired by his Lampent, completely smoking both Weiss and Nicholas. Meanwhile, Ruby, Rosebud, and Thorn manage to defeat Joey "Jawbreaker" Cross and Sand Jaws. Penny reveals Yottabyte also knows Hyper Beam, destroying a Bullhead in seconds. At the end of it all, Weiss remains silent while the rest talk about their somewhat successful mission against the bad guys.
