Absence

It had been two days since Mikey ran away. They had secretly passed along the message to Krysta, Senor Hueso and Sunita who got their staff and family respectively involved. The Googlysmchootz knew the Hidden City better than Krysta and it had been years for Hueso. So they kept their search there.

Hueso and Krysta meanwhile kept their ears to the ground for any sign of him. Dead or Alive they prayed for the latter. The Delivery Yokai would keep their eyes open while making rounds around The City. Krysta off the Clock would spend the nights with the Turtle, April, Splinter and Tiger Claw searching.

Tiger Claw had been the first to start looking. Followed by the four teens, Leo recalled it had been just before the incident at the station since they slept. He could feel his body begging for sleep but he had to keep going. Sucking in as much coffee in his mug as he could; he could sense his twin on the verge of a meltdown and was trying to hold it in to focus. Raph was at the verge of tears at this point. Leo shoved his emotions down below. He was a hero. Heroes didn't cry they weren't vulnerable they fixed problems and stopped tears not added to them. Especially the likes of Lou Jitsu and Jupiter Jim, besides his usual wise cracks were the only thing keeping him sane right now.

He knew Splinter had noticed and had walked up to them as they were gathered around Donnie's computer. Raph in spite of himself let out a whimper. "Don't worry Raph Shelldon and his drones fixed the damage hours ago. Now they're searching with us and scanning the sky scrapers and all inclines. If he so much as ascends a hill we'll find him!" Donnie assured.

Leo felt his blood freeze. Why was that, a thing they had to consider?! He had a cat nap and was woken up to the Nightmare of finding Mikey splattered on the street from a high fall. Mikey was so angry and disgusted with himself. But it hadn't been voluntary. April had explained that his repression of emotions for most of his life. Plus the way Draxum had treated him that night had triggered a Dissociative Rage attack or something. Klunk was fine other than a bruised Rib cage but seeing her on the floor like that…

That's what started this whole mess. Leo shook his thoughts away trying not to think about how the kitten had rushed to Mikey's room and bawled her eyes out when they couldn't find him the first night. Splinter came in. Leo looked at him but just stayed quiet. If only Splinter had left Mikey at home. Hell that's why they had! They knew having him and Draxum meet again was a bad idea. Why'd he have to be so damn tone deaf about almost everything!?

"Boys," he addressed them softly noticing their exhaustion. "You've been at this for two days you need-"

"NO!" Raph spat turning to him his eyes blazing in a way where one could easily see tears threatened to fall. "I don't want to stop until I know my brother is safe! It's your fault this happened! AND IT'S YOUR FAULT HE'S SO MESSED UP LIKE THAT!" he half screamed practically getting in the rats face. He had processed what he had done and growled punching the floor. Leo couldn't help but agree and yet….maybe not word it like both incidents were his fault maybe? The Lab had been exploding but in response to Raph's words, Splinter hung his head and slunk out; As Donnie zeroed in on a segment of the city near the New York Botanical Garden. There was supposed to be a large Corpse flower there. They were going take Mikey there, to see it while it was in bloom along with some of the other cool stuff. Life then decided to screw them over immensely.

"We'll comb around that area." Donnie said tonelessly. Klunk came in looking sadly at the computer tears threatening to fall again. "We're gonna find him its' okay Klunk." Donnie said petting her

"Yeah it's only a matter of time," Raph said wiping his eyes. "Mad Dogz, let's go." He said with none of his usual vigor. It suddenly felt like a piece of them was missing their spark their fire. That's when it hit him for the first time. "I can't imagine life without Mikey any more…"

Krysta had managed to cover her tail with a Hoodie she had tied around her waist she was wearing a mask and hood to cover her ears. She couldn't use the employee cloaking broaches. Hueso was strict about them. Not wanting to have to go back to Big Mama or something. She didn't know much about her other than Hueso feared her immensely. She saw a nearby Coffee shop: Coffee Le' Gume and suddenly saw a Yokai that matched Donnie's description of Draxum inside. She gasped and slowly made her way inside hiding under the table. It was him and he was with one of the Foot Grunts. The Girl Leo had described.

"What is this place?" Draxum growled Krysta could see him tensed up annoyed by something. His eye was twitching. "Are we here to lay waste to these pathetic humans?" He asked his claws going up with a twitch with the tiniest bit of hope to kill in his tone.

"No," Foot Recruit said calmly sliding up beside him her body positioned in a meditative stance. "We are here to get Coffee for the entire Foot Clan. And a Vegan Coconut Scone for the boss." She replied.

"Baron Draxum is no errand boy!" he snarled in a low volume. Krysta stuck her tongue out at him. If he was suffering right now he deserved it.

"To become a full member of the Foot," Recruit instructed. Kicking a Mint hot Chocolate out of a large man's hand he stared at it sadly as she continued. "One must show commitment and patience. I HAVE BEEN IN TRAINING SINCE I WAS SEVEN!" she half screamed.

"MADNESS," Draxum roared incredulously.

Krysta began texting back the information in the group chat they set up.

"Draxum wants to be a member of the Foot I thought he already was," Raph texted.

"I thought it was implied they were partners," Donnie texted.

"Maybe it has something to do with this Dark Armor thingy we're fighting over. I know what I said," Krysta texted back.

"Maybe pick Splint's brains about it?" April suggested.

"Yeah, Dad and us aren't exactly Sympatico right now," Leo texted.

"Fine I'll do it later let's just get Mikey back for now." April texted with Krysta telling that was a sigh over the phone.

"Sounds good to me," Raph added it was then there was suddenly screaming and crashing as Krysta yelped looking up and holding on tightly to her phone she saw that Draxum had brought in a Golem and snatched away a bunch of Coffee that someone put out.

Recruit gasped a large smile bursting under her mask. "I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS ALL WRONG!" she said stars in her eyes.

"Indeed," Draxum replied taking a sip of hot coffee. "Waiting is for fools!" he added as Krysta watched as they left she followed them out but they had already disappeared into a portal.

"If I can suggest something, it doesn't seem like Draxum or the Foot know Mikey's missing," Krysta quickly texted, to the group.

"Good we need to keep it that way!" Leo replied as Krysta put her phone away to begin looking again.

They had spent the better part of the night calling for Mikey while jumping across Roof tops. "Mikey we know you didn't mean it Bro please come back!" Raph called as Donnie scanned the area.

"MIKEEEY!" Leo called but nothing. He sighed but it was then he suddenly noticed a light shining in the Botanical Garden Green house. "Hey look!" he said as it continued to shine. Did he dare hope?

"Come on!" Raph said as they quickly rushed over. They quickly landed on the top of the Roof and rushed over to the nearest open door they entered and saw a light in the distance: It was either Mikey or Mikey was here and got the attention of a security guard either way they went closer to the light making sure to keep their distance.

But what they saw was instead Bebop and Rocksteady taking turns smelling the Corpse Flower they had been excited about seeing if any of them were brave enough to smell it. A flower that was said to smell like a Mummy wrapped like a Zombie dipped in long forgotten milk. Bebop had taken a huge whiff and yelped flinching around a bit before he fell into a position where one leg was straight the other was bent on top of it one of his arms was flopped over behind him while the other was straight out his mouth wide open from the smell.

Rocksteady sniffed it and yelped from the smell before vomiting all over the grass surrounding the flower before falling to his knees.

"Hi guys whatcha doing?" Leo asked casually while leaning on his sword which he stuck into the ground making them jump. Bebop looked like his Heart had restarted from Leo greeting them.

"Ah! The Turtles!" he yelped pointing.

"If you must know we're building tolerance to your little OP Ammonia bombs!" Rocksteady declared aggressively pointing at them.

"Yeah and once we do that we'll be unstoppable and you'll all fall like rotten fruit!" Bebop added with an evil grin.

"You know ones a chemical compound the other is a really, really, stinky flower. I doubt you're gonna get the exact results you want." Donnie pointed out.

There was a small silence between them before the two Mutants glared. "SCREW YOU AND YOUR LOGIC!" Rocksteady roared pointing at them aggressively again.

"WE WILL DEFEAT YOU!" Bebop declared before remembering some details, "EVENTUALLY!"

"Bebop, Rocksteady do not let them escape!" they suddenly heard Foot Recruit shout and turn to see her charging at them shouting her usual battle cry. "FOOOOOT CLAAAAAN! Vermin prepare to taste my wrath!" she said pulling out her own smaller Odachi and charging. The turtles simply moved out of the way as she sliced the Corpse flower in half the sides exploding it's smelly juice onto her as she slid past Bebop and Rocksteady and began coughing as the smell penetrated her mask to her nose.

"RECRUIIT WE NEEDED THAT!" Rocksteady whined as she weakly pulled her head up.

"This…cough…was…a trap!" she hissed her head falling down.

"Uh no that was all you." Leo told her simply.

"Great now we have to use you for training and look like total creeps as we do so." Bebop complained crossing his arms grumpily. Recruit suddenly got to her feet with an angry roar and rushed at the Turtles. Leo had jumped away into a tree while Donnie was vlogging the now dead corpse flower for his archives instead the two Mutants were focused on chasing Recruit who was focused on chasing Raph who was screaming and yelping as they ran around Donnie and the Flower in a circle.

"AHHH GET AWAY FROM ME EWWWWW!" he cried hating the smell.

"Hold still we have to smell you!" the two Mutants shouted together. All were unaware of Draxum sneaking away and heading outside where the two Foot Leaders were looking for the armor in a center piece in the inside one of the Angel Statues: A testament to the insufferable Ego of Humanity. They were using a mystic tracker he smirked noticing a small lever nearby.

"Our senseis never fail eh?" he asked as he reached for the lever with one clawed finger and pulled it down. It caused an alarm to go off awaking a bunch of elite grounds keepers. Instantly their leader Harold burst in a well-built man in their green and yellow with brown Khaki's and slicked back pure white hair and a square slightly pointed chin burst in.

"LISTEN UP NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDENS SECURITY FORCE ALPHA MOBILIZE!" he shouted as the men instantly threw themselves out of their beds. Put on their hats and green crocs. Tightened their phanny packs and grabbed every garden tool at their disposal.

"There's a Botanical emergency!" Harold shouted.

The two Foot Leaders had been started and noticed the pink sirens whirring on the statues as loud alarms blared. They weren't sure what happened but Brute was more surprised by what he was seeing. "A Security alarm in a Botanical garden?" he asked quizzically shrugging.

"I'm sure our soldiers can handle a few grounds keepers." Lieutenant assured it was then they heard ululating as much like expertly trained ninja they began flipping in towards them, wielding their garden tools like axes, spears and Bos. A couple of them had charged with both push and riding mowers.

"GET THEM!" Lieutenant shouted as the Foot Grunts appeared at their leader's side and rushed at them as a huge fight broke out Kunai, swords and bos versus garden tools! Harold had lifted his clawed rake into the air and slammed down hard breaking the ground as he blew several ninja back.

"I WILL GRIND YOU INTO FERTILIZER! AND YOU TWO STAY AWAY FROM ME AND DO SOMETHING MORE USEFUL!" he suddenly heard the voice of girl scream from inside the large green house.

He turned to see Jewell being trampled under the feet of various figures in the dark. "The Corpse Flower: Protect the Begonias, I'll save Jewell!" he shouted to his men rushing towards the Green house.

"We need the training!" Bebop snarled back at her as Raph had placed one of his Tonga's between his foot and was currently trying to shove Foot Recruit away who was using her sword to fight, Raph was covering his nose having gotten to close to the smell and hating it immensely now.

"YOU WILL NEVER STOP US FROM COLLECTING THE DARK ARMOR!" Recruit said as Bebop and Rocksteady had passed out from smelling Corpse flower Goo and were recovering.

"Whoa, Stinky feet, that's what you're doing here?" Leo asked from the Tree he was hanging onto.

A Foot Ninja had been sent flying through the window hitting all three and knocking them down as they looked over and heard battle cries and saw Foot Ninja fighting with Grounds Keepers. "Uh guys I think that's the fight we should be focusing on." Raph said standing up and pointing to it.

The three turtles Foot recruit and two mutants all rushed out just as Harold rushed over to see Jewell in a trampled slaughtered heap. He sadly knelt down and tenderly held the petals in his hands. He sniffed her tears in his eyes before crying out.

"NOOOOOOOO!"

"Leo let's try that combo!" Donnie said to him summoning the rocket extension on his Tech-Bo and then jumped on top of it Leo following soon after getting a crouched stance with his Odachi out and waiting as they took off. Raph rushed on ahead cloaking his arms in mystic energy as he jumped.

Smashing through one of the statues that his brothers had flown over Bebop and Rocksteady right behind him Recruit however was suddenly grabbed by one of Draxum's vines and lifted her towards him. "Trust me our Rank is about to skyrocket." He told her as she watched everyone else get involved in the fight.

"Power Tonfa Jutsu!" Raph shouted batting away both Bebop and Rocksteady who had tried to double team him the minute they turned their attention back to each other the other Mutants growled standing their ground while the attack had mowed down several Foot Grunts.

Donnie flew up into the air grabbing Leo's hand and began spinning. "Archimedes!" He shouted launching Leo who balled himself around the blade of his weapon.

"Odachi Bomb!" he shouted ramming into Foot Brute who was knocked back by the force but was fighting back against the blade while Leo pushed back against him glaring. They had slid near Lieutenant.

"I know you get nervous when I rush ya but we gotta hurry!" Brute shouted as he grabbed Leo's foot and was trying to pull him off.

Lieutenant scanned the final statue. "It's in this one!" he shouted as he rushed forward he was suddenly hit by a burst of electricity and an open palmed attack that sent him tumbling off the small layers of stones the statues had been one as the Night Watcher glared at him from where he had been standing.

"You again!" Lieutenant snarled getting to his feet. "Bebop Rocksteady to me!" he shouted as the two mutants turned to him and rushed over to their leader's side Raph punching his way through grunt's made his way to Night Watcher's.

Rocksteady charged as Raph grabbed his horn with his Avatar and pushed back against it while Bebop rushed in to attack dodging the Night Watcher's Taser blows as he landed a hit on Night Watcher who stumbled back before back flipping away from another blow that broke up the ground.

"MONIA BOMB!" Donnie shouted flying from above and tossing one down.

"No you don't!" Lieutenant shouted throwing one origami Ninja that flew in the air caught the bomb and threw it back at Donnie who dodged it. The Bomb then exploded in the air where it was useless as Donnie came down he grabbed his Tech-Bo using his weight to spiral down and slam it upwards into Lieutenant's chin. "Mizzenmast!" He shouted however Lieutenant managed to flip himself down the large Rocket and kick Donnie in the face making him tumble back as Rocksteady broke through the Avatar and slammed Raph into one of the statues.

As Baron Draxum watched he noticed a white haired human rushed by with a destroyed plant of some kind and smirked as he noticed Oozequitos drinking from the nearby pond. "You're gonna make it Jewell! Stay with me! STAY WITH MEEEEEE!" he cried as Recruit arched an eyebrow at him.

"Oh she'll stay with you alright." Draxum joked darkly as he summoned a few of his Oozequitos to rush at Harold and bite him.

"Oh well this is one way!" he muttered as the remains of the corpse flower had been absorbed into him. Glowing blue veins bludged from his skin as his eyes turned red and glew. The veins covered him, "Oh okay here we are!" he shouted as his shirt and shoes ripped apart from his increased muscle mass leaving only his khaki's remaining as he suddenly became a large plant mutant with a red corpse flower and it's Spadix for his tongue.

Everyone looked up in shock as it towered above them. He looked at his hands. "Jumping Juniper! I'm in full bloom!" he shouted unleashing vines that whipped around everyone was now focused on Dodging them even the Foot Leaders and Night Watcher. Who had noticed Draxum nearby and glared at him before getting hit with a vine, he back-flipped to land on his feet from. However Harold turned to him as he noticed he was standing on some of the flowers.

"GET OFF THE GERAINIUMS!" Harold shouted, "LET MY PEOPLE GROOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!" He shouted unleashing large streams of Corpse flower goo that recruit had been covered with earlier.

"YAY TRAINING!" Bebop and Rocksteady shouted together letting themselves get soaked in it. They had turned purple and pale from the smell as they were covered in the stench before face planting on the ground.

It was soon after all three turtles had been hit with it Donnie was curled up after vomiting. "Note to future-self equip tech-bo with nose plugs!" he said putting up a shield over himself with his Tech-Bo.

"Not, again! NOT AGAIN!" Raph cried covering his head as Leo looked the stuff he was covered in. and threw it away in disgust.

"OH NO HOHOHO This is worse than Raph's 'I found cheese under the bottom of my shell stank!'" he groaned as he flattened himself against another barrage of Stank Blast.

"I SAID KEEP OFF THE GRASS!" Harold shouted between blasts as Tiger Claw hid behind one of the over turned riding mowers for cover.

"Literal, Crapbaskets!" He groaned trying to push the Helmet closer against his nose. "How is the smell getting in!?" he screamed while trying to remain unseen. As he tried to sneak closer to calm him down.

"Listen to me you have to calm down!" Tiger Claw shouted.

"NO I WILL NOT! I AM FINALLY IN MY OWN SKIN IN AND OUT! AND I WILL DEFEND PLANTS FROM THOSE WHO SEEK TO HARM THEM ANIMAL AND HUMAN ALIKE! I AM THE PROTECTOR OF ALL PLANTS; OF MY PEOOOOOPPPPLLLLLEEEEE!" Harold declared somewhat crazed as Tiger Claw in response, held his hands together before putting them down.

"Okay then have all the fun in the world with that." He said fearfully slowly ducking down as the Foot Leaders screamed hugging each other in fear as they were hit by another spray that sent them into a nearby wall and gagged. He then mowed down the rest of his former men and Ninja making them all fall to the ground before running of ululating into the night.

Tiger Claw saw Draxum turn to Foot Recruit. He hadn't heard what was said but as he ran he heard her shout out a cry.

"CALLLLIII MAAAH!" she shouted with a powerful strike pulling out a diamond shaped piece of the armor.

"Stop!" Tiger Claw shouted as Draxum turned to him with a sneer as he and she disappeared into a portal leaving everyone else to pick themselves up. Tiger Claw growled but took off. Leo could hear him get back to finding Mikey as his Motorcycle sped off.

He and his brothers picked themselves up and slunk out towards the front of the gardens. "Great," Leo hissed venomously. "We lost a piece of the Dark Armor thus wasting all that time for nothing. Are covered in goo that I remind you, smells worse than Raph's 'I found cheese under the bottom of my shell stank.' And we still don't know where Mikey is!" Leo shouted throwing up his arms into the air before hugging himself a bit. "I don't see how this night can get any worse." He muttered sadly.

There was a dark chuckle. "It can't," Donnie said in a cold tone before turning to them with a mad look on his face. "Don't you see my dear twin? We have reached Maximum capacity of misery. The Threshold of Hell!" he shouted his eyes darting away from each other unfocused as he continued. "There is no way scientific or otherwise that this night can get any-"

KABOOOM!

Immediately it started to rain. Leo groaned distastefully as Raph began crying. Donnie just sighed his eye twitching before he warned them. "Gentlemen, I am about to use the most forbidden word in my vernacular at Maximum volume." He warned stone cold.

Raph immediately stopped crying picked up Leo who looked scared and summoned an avatar slightly bigger than himself and backed away several feet as Donnie sucked in the biggest breath he could and began the 'F' sound with his mouth.

KRAAAAAASSHHHHHH!

"Wow that was the loudest F-Bomb I ever heard!" Huggin said to Muggin both were camping out in the green house and waiting for the rain to stop before returning to the Foot Shack.

"I know I even heard it over the Thunder," Muggin cheerfully added.

The Nexus Hotel….

"UUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Big Mama picked up her head from her desk in her Human form and turned to the large window behind her showing the city and the humans down below. "What the quizzy is that scandalous noise?" she asked with an arched eyebrow.

The Hidden City…

Captain Piel turned to his crew as they headed back to their ship with their new Booty in tow. "Aye Mateys we had fun in the land of Poutine and Maple Syrup but now it be time too-"

"UUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Who, be swearing at the top of their lungs?" Peil asked surprised.

The Apocalyptic year of 2044…

Leo gazed out looking at the bandana that had been newly tied around his sword he sobbed letting tears fall.

"UUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

His head snapped up recognizing the voice, his other half. His missing twin the part of his soul that had been torn away: "Donnie?!" he asked brokenly.

Turtle Prime…..

We jump down from the roof, I strike two Foot Ninja with a flip on my way down. Donatello takes out a third with his staff. Launching him into the nearby stair case, Raph has corned two more already their starting to panic! Raph is smirking as he's giving chase. He loves this stuff He's not the only one-

"UUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

This scream, its pure unadulterated rage…..laced with sadness and a desire for vengeance! I've seen such a rage before….in our Master Splinter….

Back to Mystic Prodigy dimension with the Foot Clan….

They were in the shrine located below their petty disguise the Foot Shack. The Ninja that would be promoted all bowed to him. He had tied up Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant and slammed them down beside the recruits that would soon be promoted.

"So Draxum!" Foot Lieutenant pled at his feet looking up with a pleading look as it should be. He should've been leader of the Clan and he had earned his place and he was going to make sure they knew that as Lieutenant continued. "We have some uhh good news about your potential in this Organization…" he muttered meekly.

"Yeah really good news!" Brute added scooting up beside him as both were immediately bitch slapped with one of his vines. He glowered at them like he would if he were speaking to Attila for one of his many, many, failures.

"SILENCE! I have accomplished with one assistant what you couldn't accomplish with an entire clan!" Draxum boomed.

"Wait!" Recruit said turning to Draxum surprised. "Assistant?! I thought we were partners…." She said betrayed.

"Ah, ba-ba ba-ba ba-ba!" Draxum said mockingly putting a claw over her mouth to shush her as Bebop and Rocksteady glared up from their bowing states. "Attila is the only partner I have." He said simply. "But with how good you were, maybe I'll mutate you into a member of my army." He sneered as Recruit hung her head. Draxum ascended by the Dark Armor to look over the Foot Clan. "By the laws of the Foot Clan I am now your leader! I will go on a private mission to retrieve my Masterpiece Attila!" he declaring showing a scroll with the laws written on it as the Foot Grunts cheered loudly. "And then we will strike again on Monday!"

"Ohh Monday's a Holiday can we strike again on Tuesday?" Huggin asked as Draxum rolled his eyes.

"Oooh you know the Baron's got a haircut on Tuesday and you know how they never get it right on the first pass?" Muggin added.

"Yeah and then you got to Wednesday and you might as well write off the rest of the week." Huggin noted.

"Enough!" Draxum boomed. "Our plans will commence the following Monday once I get Attila back and I'll hear no more of it!"

She hadn't found anything and neither had the guys. She had to stop for a bit to rest before he mother got suspicious but as she came inside with Mayhem sticking his head out of her rain coat they suddenly saw Carol at the door. "There you are, what were you doing out there?" She asked concern.

"Uhh nothing!" April said quickly.

"You've been out almost past curfew for two days now. That doesn't seem like nothing. Sweetie you know you can talk to me about anything right?" she asked.

"I do know, but I don't know how to explain this." April admitted. She didn't want to reveal the Turtles or Splinter right now. She had wanted to wait a bit longer she felt a buzzing and gasped with what she read from Krysta. "Mikey!" she said immediately rushing out.

"Wait April!" Carol said going after her but found her already down the street on her bike.
