And came up the ladder, a boy with dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes. He had tons of flowers in his hands. And after him a boy identical but with sandy blonde hair and dark blue eyes.
" Where are Zoe and Anna? " asked Airis. " Coming up the ladder.. " said the first boy, Jacob. " We need help! " yelled the voice of a girl from below. " Right " said the other boy, Zane. He gave a hand an pulled up two boxes. Then as Zane put down the two boxes, Jacob pulled up a girl. She had light brown hair and black eyes. She had her arm in a cast. " She's not here yet? " said the girl, Anna. They shook their head. " Does you arm still hurt? " asked Airis.
" Kind of but the doctor said I have to keep the cast for another month.. " she said frowning.
" Well they said a good thing. " she said proudly.
" Ofcourse it's good to you, he's your cousin! " Anna exclaimed. Airis and Taylen laughed.
" Hey, " said another girl, Zoe climbing up. She had brownish blonde hair and hazel brown eyes. " Isn't Say here yet. " said the last girl, Addison, to come up. " No she hasn't Addy, which is surprising because it's almost eight. " said Aiden checking his watch. Jacob put the flowers into a vase with water and put it onto the table in the middle. Zoe opened the two boxes which revealed to be chocolates.
" Hey peeps! " said a boy, with curly hair and a literal baby face coming up. He was Damian. " Wow! This is the first time I've seen a baby climb up a ladder? " said Taylen teasingly smiling. Damian hit him on the head after he got up.
After about fifteen minutes they heard the voice of a girl. " Hey guys, why are you here so early. " Everyone quickly stood up. When the girl finally stood up and looked at them.
" Congratulations!! " They yelled into the girls face. She was shocked but smiled. " What's all this? " she asked. " Ahem, ahem, to Sadie York for getting first place in the Scholarship Finals. " said Airis, showing the cake. Aiden handed her the flowers " You didn't need to do all this, how much did you spend? " Sadie said. " Not for your worries but 25 pounds. " said Taylen. " You shouldn't have spent so much. " she said, sighing.
" Well, we're all best mates, so it's fine. " said Jacob shrugging. " You seriously shouldn't have- " she started.
" It's fine! " The rest of them said at once. " Now sit down and let's cut the cake. " said Addison plopping herself on to her orange bean bags. Anna took out a plastic knife and gave it to Sadie. Then she cut the cake and they all clapped.
" Shouldn't we be planning about Ri's birthday? " said Sadie. " Yes, it does from today since our break has finished from celebrating Adu's birthday last week. " said Zoe.
" Why do I feel like I know what your going to do? " said Airis. " Cause you know us too well. " said Taylen smiling. " Right, since this is done, what do ya'll wanna do? " Asked Damian. " Wanna head to Mrs Jones shop to buy snacks? " said Airis.
Everyone agreed. They climed down the ladder ( Anna with help from them ) and headed to Mrs Jones shop.
" Hey Mrs Jones. " they said as they walked into her shop. " Hey kiddos, what can I get you today? " said from the storeroom, a middle-aged woman." Anything you'd like to give us " said Sadie. " Have you got anything spicy, Mrs Jones? " asked Airis. She had a great taste for spice. " No, I don't but would you like some boba? " she said coming out from the back. She had hazel green eyes and a soft warm face. She nodded. " Oh, Sadie dear, congratulations on getting first place in the Scholarship Finals. " She taking out less than a dozen cups of boba.
" Thanks Mrs Jones " she said smiling. " Your welcome dear and I'm sure you'll be coming into my shop within the week since Ri's borthday is coming up. " They nodded. " Do you still remember our birthdays? " asked Anna. " Ofcourse, first sit down Ann, you all sit down as well. " she said. They took some chairs and sat down.
" Aiden's birthday is on the 4th of September, the twins have in on the 25th then Ann's on the 15th of October after that Say's on the 24th of November and then on March 7, we have Damian's then Zoe's on the 21st of April then Tay's on the 29th of July, Adu's on the 11th of August and last but not least Ri's on the 26th. " She said in one long breath.
" You said them in age order. " said Zoe. " Of course, I did, I know that Aid is the oldest and Ri is the youngest. " Mrs Jones said smiling. " Okay, currently all I've got is some sandwiches since we're restock on Tuesdays. " She said handing them less then a dozen sandwiches. " It's fine, thanks, Mrs Jones. " said Airis as they got up to leave.
" Your welcome, see you tomorrow " she said waving. They nodded and exited the store.
" Heartings Lake? " Aiden said. We all nodded and most of us hopped onto our own bikes while Anna got on Zoe's and we went to the Lake for some quietness.
