Avengers Mansion, Training Room
We see Rex in the training room as we see Captain America or Steve Rodgers is leading him through the obstacles.
Captain America: Rex, you gotta be careful out in the field a good soldier must be careful with his surroundings.
Then a chasm opened up as Steve easily made that jump and Rex followed as he is showing physical strength in his base form.
As the two continue to run they stop when both walls open up and we see Spikes continues to fire as the two dodge many spikes. They then are being chased by hundred of coils with electrical stingers at the end of it as Rex then look ahead and see a button and he runs at high speed as he keeps up with Captain before picking up speed and passing him as he was actually surprised by that and Rex beat him as he presses the button on the stand.
Rex: YES! Ha! I beat Captain America in a Race!
Captain America: It's not a Game you need to give it your all or you may hurt yourself or your team.
Rex: Sorry. I can't hear you. I just beat Cap at a race!
As Rex was cheering for himself as he then did a electric slide right past Cap and danced out the door.
Steve while showing stern look of his soldier discipline from his soldier training cracks a smile at Rex for his performance in the training room.
Rex has come far and showed a lot of improvement and a lot of heart in him something Cap sees in him as he continues his training.
Captain America: Jarvis run the training again this time raise the level.
Jarvis: At once sir.
Hanks Mobile Lab
As we see Rex dancing his way past Hanks lab and Rex stops and sees the Robot Hank was working on and immediately went inside as he tapped the entrance.
Rex: Knock knock.
Hank didn't hear as he seemed to be focused and everything seemed to be quiet and boring.
Rex then sees Hank working on a Ultron head Janet mentioned as he then takes away one of the tools as Hank tries to grab without looking but couldn't feel it on the table and he turns his head to see it wasn't there as looked for it and then he realizes that Rex has it as he holds the tool in his hand as Rex looks at what Hank was working on.
Rex: So this is Ultron?
Hank: Yes. You see thanks to Generator giving me some insight to his AI interface I think I'm one step closer to giving Ultron a personality. By the way how did you meet Generator? His Ai personality core is beyond what Tony has.
Rex: I... I don't know. I've only met him when I was on the Helicarrier.
Hank: You still have it? I would've thought you have your memories back.
Rex: Yeah. It seems that I still have some problems up here.
As Rex taps his head to show that he still has Amnesia and it seems that it's going long term. But luckily he's not hurrying to return his memory though.
Rex: So, how are you and Janet?
Hank: Good.
Rex: Are you two doing anything later?
Hank: Well, not really.
Rex was confused by how he's not doing anything with her as he gets on his case.
Rex: Wait? Don't you two take time to have fun together?
Hank: What's that mean?
Rex: I mean... something spontaneous like... go to a movie. Go to a music concert. Go for a picnic.
Hank: Well, we do hang out at the Lab.
Rex then facepalmed his free hand as he shakes his head before looking at Hank.
Rex: Hank, you're killing me man, live a little, you might be missing out more then you know. Here your too.
Rex gave him his tool as he walks away leaving Hank by himself as he continues to work on his Ultron project.
Generator: Well, he seems to be a workaholic.
Generator popped out of his chest as he talks to Rex as he was floating.
Rex: Well, I think he needs to get out more.
Generator: Really? Is it about him or is it about Jan~.
Rex: [Blushing.] Dude! She's with him! I can't do that to him. Or her. It's wrong.
Generator: And yet every time you're with her you're heart races, your hormones levels rise, it suggests that you wish to mate with her.
Rex: Ok, first: gross. Second: you are wrong. Third: I'm not in love with her.
Then as they make it to the Elevator Janet shows up in front of Rex as he acts normal.
Rex: Janet! You're... here. I mean, it's good to see you.
Janet: Thank you Rex, it's good to see you as well. And nice to see you too Generator.
Generator: [Western Accent.] I say, I say, you're fine looking lass today, my dear, say are you wearing a new perfume, today my dear?
Rex: How would you know what perfume she's wearing? You don't have a nose? Or can smell?
Janet then giggles as the two banter with each other.
Janet: If Hank and Ultron were like you two I think it would be funny to see them argue then hear him talk to Ultron one sided.
As Janet moved passed them Rex smiles at her as she walks away but caught a whiff of her scent of her shampoo, lavender scented as he sighs dreamily before he looks over to Generator as he makes a heart beating Emoji with the Initials J & R in the center as Rex then shoves Generator away.
Rex: Your crazy. I need to go upstairs... alone.
As Generator then sees Rex trying to ignore his feelings for Janet.
In the Foyer
When Rex was alone he then thought about what Generator said about him and Janet as a couple but then remembered she is clearly in love with someone else, a scientist... she loves Hank, Rex wasn't much of a scientist. He was more motor vehicle driven, machine driven, robot driven. He loves science even if it is over his head on a lot of scientific questions and equations, he loved science, but his passion is in engineering, mechanics, experimenting, and Looking forward then back.
Rex then pushed aside on what Generator said as he looks annoyed and heads to his room as he passes Tony in his Iron Man armor save for his faceplate as it was raised up.
Tony: Hey, Rex, just the guy I want to see, I need some testing on some of my armor and I want to see if you can–
Then there was beeping sound as then Jarvis seemed to give Them the information.
Jarvis: Sir, there is a reported sighting of a Supervillain.
Tony: Ah, that can wait, so who's our lucky contender today Jarvis?
Jarvis: It's Anton Vanko, Crimson Dynamo...
This made Tony mad as he then closed his faceplate and we see inside his helmet of Crimson Dynamo as he is in a snowy climate.
Jarvis: ...he's currently in Switzerland.
Iron-Man: Jarvis get everyone in the Quinjet, we're going to need all hands on deck for this one.
Rex: All hands on deck? I'm sure one should stay and watch the Mansion there is no need to.
Iron Man: I say all hands on deck on this one and don't question me!
As Tony yelled at Rex as he was shocked to see him touchy as they go after Crimson Dynamo
Later, Swiss airspace
As we see Rex was in the Pilot seat and next to him was Hank as Black Panther and Wasp were in their seats and we see Iron Man and Thor outside the Quinjet and Steve looking outside before he was curious about Crimson Dynamo as he asked Hank
Captain America: Tell me more about this 'Crimson Dynamo'.
Cap asked as the Quinjet streaked through the frigid alpine.
Ant-Man: He's a Russian national named Anton Vanko. He's a brilliant engineer that created a suit of armor similar to Iron Man's... but a lot bigger and with more weapons.
As Ant-Man explained from his seat as Rex and Generator was also listening.
Captain America: The Soviets were our allies against Hydra. Did things change that much while I was frozen?
Steve queried. Hank was forced to pause, realizing the Captain America had missed the entirety of the Cold War.
Ant-Man: Um... yes. A lot. It's complicated.
He replied. Now was not the time for a history lesson that packed with Explaining to Cap about what happened after his nap.
Ant-Man: Good thing for us, Vanko isn't. He's obsessed with destroying Iron Man. His armor is based on Tony's technology. And Tony is... well.. let's just say he's a little protective of his technology. He's been trying to take Vanko down ever since they first met. And he finally did.
Captain America: Until the breakout.
Ant-Man: Right. We've been tracking all the escaped villains, but I'm pretty sure this one's at the top of Iron Man's list. Sometime's I forget who is obsessed with who.
Ant-Man mused. As Rex sees something from in front of him as it was a big red explosion.
Rex: Uh, Hank? You said this 'Vanko' had weapons?
Ant-Man: Yes. A lot. Why do you-?
Hank question, only to find his answer the moment he glanced out the same viewport.
Multiple red explosions dotted the snowy terrain below, each one larger than the last and growing in ferocity.
Ant-Man: Ah. Nevermind. If I had to guess, I'd say we've found the Crimson Dynamo.
Down on the ground, Thor, Wasp and Iron Man found their way around swarms of incendiary missiles and plasma blasts as Crimson dynamo attacked from below. Iron Man promptly retaliated with heavy repulsor ray barrages.
Iron Man: Pour it on Avengers! Whatever it takes, just put him down!
Crimson Dynamo: You are a coward, Iron Man! Do you hear me? A coward!
Dynamo roared from below, his armor tanking each repulsor blast.
Crimson Dynamo: You knew I would destroy you during the breakout, so you ran! And now you bring others to fight for you!
More explosive ordinance filled the air from Dvnamo's shoulder launchers, Thor batting side missiles with Mjolnir as Tony's defence protocols took them out one at a time.
Thor: Truly, Iron Man, this Dynamo talks too much.
The Asgardian remarked.
Iron Man: Well, feel free to shut him up, Thor.
Tony offered. With a grin, Thor dropped to the ground, his hammer fully charged and unleashing a powerful shockwave that bowled over Dynamo.
Thor: HAVE AT THEE, VILLAIN!
He roared, powerful lightning strikes from Mjolnir driving Crimson Dynamo flat on his back and into the snow. Wasp swooped in from up high, peppering the Russian's large glass dome with her biostings.
Wasp: So, let me get this straight: you're a second-rate Iron Man knockott who really likes the color red. I can't believe you're the reason I'm not skiing in the Swiss Alps right now!
She jeered, flying circles around him as electric yellow stings landed scattered hits across his armor.
Crimson Dynamo: No... not knockoff, my armor is superior. Allow me to demonstrate.
Reaching up out a massive mechanical hand, he snatched Wasp out of the air, pinning her tiny body within his grip. Releasing a cry of pain, Wasp struggled vainly as Dynamo laid Thor out flat with his plasma caster.
Dropping down from above, Generator Rex, Black Panther and Captain America went on the attack. Launching a series of explosive Vibranium daggers, the Wakandan scored good hits on Dynamo's dome, cracking the glass. Moving in next, Cap swung his shield like a battering ram, further cracking it and then we see Rex in his base mode then charged up his fist as we can tell from his hand glowing blue and shattering the glass and smashing Dynamo across the head.
Rex: Back off, 'comrade! Thor, Wasp? You ok?
Thor: Aye.
Wasp then flys up in front of Rex as she smiles at him.
Wasp: Yep.
As they look at Dynamo, he was driven once more into the ground, smoke rising from his shattered helm as various subsystems shorted out. The Avengers gathered before him, Ant-Man dropping down to join the ensemble.
Iron Man: Stay down, Vanko. It's over. You're done.
Tony snapped, much to Rex surprise on how personal it is.
Iron Man: You steal my tech, this is what happens. You're going away for a long-
Ant-Man: Uh, Tony?
Hank interrupted. Iron Man waved him off.
Iron Man: He needs to know, Hank. They all need to know, my armor will not be used for...
Captain America: Iron Man...?
Cap trailed off.
Wasp: Just turn around, Tony!
Wasp shouted, finally drawing his attention to the item of importance that had enraptured his colleagues.
The moment he did, he found out why it was so important.
Four individuals stood on a nearby peak. Leading them was a man in blue, black and yellow, his identity concealed by a domino mask while the iconic USSR emblems of a hammer and sickle adorned his chest, identical weapons also gripped in each hand. The blonde haired Nikolai Krylenko was a man who showed no fear and beheld a commanding presence as the team leader: Vanguard.
Beside him was a woman in a skintight black and yellow bodysuit, her long blonde hair flowing in the chilly mountain air while vibrant violet energies surrounded her fists.
Unbeknownst to the team, Laynia Petrovna (Nikolai's twin sister) drew her power from the Darkforce Dimension, hence her alias of Darkstar.
Behind them sat a massive brown bear, bigger than any normal species, its expression tightly furrowed in a rather human-like fashion. Under any other circumstances, he would've masqueraded as a normal man: Mikhail Uriokovitch Ursus. But under these circumstances, he was Ursa Major; the only mutant accepted on Russian soil.
Hovering above them, a man in an electromechanical suit of armor with a vaguely green tint provided their air and fire support. Heavily armed and capable of mid-air combat, Boris Bullski was a force to be reckoned with as the one-man army: Titanium Man.
Vanguard: The Winter Guard has come for Crimson Dynamo!
Vanguard announced.
As Rex and Generator look at the Winter Guard as they almost look like the Avengers as Vanguard is Leading his team down into the plateau, the Russian superhero squad stood opposite the Avengers.
Vanguard: I recommend you do not stand in our way.
The Avengers tensed at his words, the possibility of a brewing fight lingering in their minds.
Iron Man: Who are you?! [Angry.] If you're working with Dvnamo-
Vanguard: We are not, Iron Man. I am called Vanguard, and my team and I are servants of the Russian Federation.
Nikolai promised. Iron Man, assessing them all, then chose to continue... warily.
Iron Man: What do you want with Dynamo?
Vanguard: He has committed crimes against the Russian people. We are here to see he faces spravedlivost. Our justice.
Captain America: Vanko seems like a popular man.
Cap mused. As Generator pops out of Rex's chest and overlooks Dynamo as the Vanguard tensed up thinking it was an attack.
Rex: It's ok! It's ok! He's my Partner AI! He doesn't do much.
As Generator looks at Vanko and mocks him.
Generator: [Russian Accent] How could you do this to mother Russia! Your a disgrace to the motherland! I spit on you!
Generator then makes a spit sound confusing most of everyone there.
Rex: Generator, you don't have a mouth... or even body fluids. Mostly oil and circuitry.
Generator: [Normal Accent.] I don't have oil! I take a charge of your Cosmic Energy as I said before I feed of it and in return give you awesome power modes.
Wasp then smiles at the two as they have an argument as if their siblings and giggles at this and Hank gets them to focus on why they are here.
Hank: Ok! Enough of the Peanut Gallery here. We still got to deal with this situation here. Tony, this could solve our immediate problem. We don't have anywhere to put the Dynamo, we can't trust SHIELD to hold him, and the Hydrobase hasn't finished construction yet.
Hank suggested, and Iron Man whirled on him.
Iron Man: What? I'm not turning Dynamo over to these guys.
Captain America: Tony...
Iron Man: [Angry.] Vanko stole from me, Cap. He hurt people with my technology! We're taking him.
He stated, ending the discussion. Meanwhile, Generator Rex, Thor, Panther and Wasp remained vigilant by the downed Dynamo, watching the newcomers from a distance.
Wasp: They have a giant bear. Freaky.
Black Panther: Indeed. Such creatures are seldom seen even in my native Wakanda.
Thor: Verily.
Generator: I don't know why... but Vanguard and his team look very familiar...
Rex: Now that you mention it they kinda look like...
As they look at each other they knew the answer to their question.
Generator/Rex: Nah./Nah.
Vanguard: We are not asking, Mstitel. This is going to happen.
Vanguard stated gravely. Then Titanium Man touched down beside him, his visor and central reactor glowing green in an almost-radioactive fashion.
Titanium Man: The Winter Guard is here with the permission of the Swiss Goverment. Are you, comrade? By what authority do you take Anton Vanko?
Vanguard: Step away from the Dynamo. We do not wish for any beda.
Vanguard commanded. Despite their heavily accented voices,
Iron Man's HUD was able to translate and Tony knew just how to respond.
Iron Man: You don't want any trouble? Well, guess what…
Iron Man fired up his ARC reactor in his center chest piece as he used his central focusing lens as Tony charged up his unibeam.
Iron Man: …got some!
Tony Unleashing an almighty blast from his chest, Iron Man struck as Vanguard quickly-raised weapons of Vanguard, hammer and sickle glowing brightly as they shielded him from the blast, shunting him back and leaving trails through the snow.
Ant-Man: Tony! Stop!
Hank cried, grabbing Tony's shoulders in an effort to subdue his attack. But the damage had already been done. With his weapons aglow, Vanguard urged his team onwards.
Vanguard: Winter Guard, attack!
The trio sprang into action, Titanium Man blasting Iron Man with twin beams of emerald energy and pitching him across the ground into a snowy cliffside.
Iron Man: Jarvis, analyze that armor's systems!" Tony ordered.
Jarvis: Unable to comply, external sensors offline.
His AI grimly reported as Titanium Man closed in. Meanwhile, Thor moved in to take his place against Vanguard, ducking low as a sizzling energy beam from his hammer narrowly missed his head.
Your weapons are impressive, mortal... but allow me to show you the power of a true hammer!
He thundered, retaliating in turn with the electric might of Mjolnir. As they struggled, Cap and Panther struggled against Ursa Major, the Wakandan pouncing on the ursine mutant's back and attempting to throw him, only for the bear to grab Panther's glove with his teeth and pull him off, sending Black Panther crashing into a rocky outcrop.
Captain America: Panther!
Cap cried, quickly raising his shield to block against Ursa's claws.
Ursa Major: Walk away Captain, before you and your komanda are hurt. Or worse.
The bear major growled. Cap raised a confused brow beneath his hood.
Ursa Major: Talking bears?! [Muttered under his breath.] The future gets weirder every day...
Flexing her impressive powers, Darkstar shrouded herself in Darkforce energy as she challenged Wasp, Generator Rex and Ant-Man.
Darkstar: You chose this, Avengers, not us! T'ma poglotit tebya!
She cried, unleashing a burst of pitch-black energy that consumed Wasp whole, Janet disappearing into the dark with a scream of terror.
Hank/Rex: Jan!
Rex quickly went into flight mode and flew in the pitch black void as he grabbed Jan and threw her out of Harms way as he got captured in the pitch black energy.
Wasp: Rex!
Hank quickly toggling his belt regulator and growing to Giant Man size. He moved on Darkstar, a massive hand reaching for the woman and severing the Darkforce flow enshrouding Generator Rex. Her beams colliding with his hand, Darkstar turned frightened as she struggled to maintain her control.
Darkstar: No, no! Stay away koloss!
She shrieked as Generator Rex renewed their flight with a shake of their heads.
Wasp: Rex? Are you ok?
Rex: Yeah, me and Generator are ok. Although a nightlight is appropriate for when we return back to the Mansion.
Wasp: No kidding. Ugh! What is that? It's like I was stuck inside the color black!
She questioned aloud.
Generator activated his speaker so he told everyone there.
Generator: She's manipulating some kind of energy, it might be other-dimensional.
Giant-Man: Really? That's amazing!
Hank said, awed by Darkstar's powers.
Generator: I know it's so cool!
Wasp: Amazing?! It tried to eat me!
Rex: And us if you don't remember!
The duo expressed in disbelief of their partner and boyfriend at thinking that it was awesome. Before Rex used his fist wrapped in Cosmic Energy to slam the ground causing Darkstar to wobble a bit before Wasp went in to attack Darkstar, wasp peppered a hastily-raised shield with her biostings.
Wasp: And that's for blasting me with your weird black stuff!
And then Rex in his base mode ran up to Darkstar and then added some cosmic double kick to her stomach and shoved her back as she laid in the snow.
Rex: And that was for hurting Jan.
We then see Rex look up as we see Grappling in the sky, Iron Man and Titanium Man went head to head, trading metal, mechanized blows and sizzling energy bolts.
Titanium Man: Are you insane, Iron Man? We both want the same thing: Crimson Dynamo in prison!
Iron Man: Is that right? Well, here's a question for you: where did you get that armor? Because I can't help but notice the similarities to Dynamo's.. and that means it's mine!
Unleashing a barrage of micro-missiles from his shoulders, Tony called up his Al again,
Iron Man: Talk to me JARVIS, I need to know what's in that armor.
Jarvis: Sir, sensors are still offline. Repair systems still need time.
Jarvis responded as Titanium Man's energy field blocked out his explosive ordinance.
Titanium Man: Dostatochno! We do not wish to fight!
Boris shouted. His voice carried in the air, drawing the attention of both the Avengers and the Winter Guard.
Thor: Your armored warrior wishes to stop the battle?
Thor questioned as Mjolnir's lightning battled the energy beams from Vanguard's hammer.
Vanguard: We did not come here to battle the Avengers. Your Iron Man attacked us.[Grunted.] But if you wish to fight, we will oblige you!
Hearing his words, Giant Man, trying to bring some common sense to the chaotic scene.
Giant-Man: Cap! Panther! Thor! This is pointless! We're the problem here, not them!
As they are still grappling with Ursa Major, the Wakandan and the supersoldier had the mutate in a combined chokehold, struggling to contain him.
Black Panther: The words of the Winter Guard appear to ring true.
Your Ant-Man speaks the truth, chelovek-kot.
Ursa rumbled. Hearing his affirmation, Cap paused and slowed his shield from around Ursa Major's thick neck.
Captain America: We... We need to stand down, Iron Man." He concluded.
Pausing up above, Iron Man hovered in place as a silence crept across the land. It was broken by a synthesized chuckling, As it came from a revived Crimson Dynamo.
Crimson Dynamo: You are right to suspect them, Stark. Who do you think their first recruit was for the Winter Guard?
He asked in a rather leading tone.
Crimson Dynamo: Who do you think designed the Titanium Man armor?
Tony paused, putting the pieces together in his mind.
Iron Man: Dynamo...
Titanium Man: He lies. You cannot listen to that Izhets.
Titanium Man urged. As Thor and Generator Rex clue in as well.
Thor: The Dynamo is a villain and cannot be trusted, friend Stark.
Rex: Yeah! He's playing on your obsession with getting all your Stark Tech!
Captain America: He is manipulating you!
As Steve called out. Cap nodded in agreement as a released Ursa Major mutated back into his human form, clad in a jumpsuit marked with Soviet emblems.
Captain America: They're willing to talk. Let's listen to what they have to say... carefully.
Steve urged. Darkstar also stands down, prompting Giant Man and Wasp to do the same.
Wasp: And if we don't like what you have to say, then zapping will resume.
She promised, hands on her hips.
Generator: That's also agreeable.
As Wasp and Rex then high five each other as Hank sighed and rubs his eyes together.
Giant-Man: [Sighs.] Generator, Jan, Rex... that's not helping. Iron Man, I know what's going through your head. These people are not the enemy.
Iron Man: And what if you're wrong, Hank?
Tony questioned.
Iron Man: You don't know what my tech can do in the wrong hands. I do. I've seen it.
Thor: I sense no trickery among them. The Winter Guard are formidable, and while their tone is filled with arrogance-
Captain America: The truth is that you did attack them first. Let's hear them out.
Cap finished on his behalf. Iron Man stayed silent, dwelling on their words.
Iron Man: We could do that...
As he slowly replied, turning on Titanium Man.
Iron Man: …or I could just take my armor back and then we could talk!
He shouted, barreling towards the verdant armor suit.
Rex: TONY!
From his position, Crimson Dynamo cackled. He had sown the seeds of discord and chaos, dividing both of his enemies against each other and doing away with what could've been a potent alliance. Now all that was left was for him to do was to destroy both sides.
As Generator Rex sees Crimson Dynamo Unleashing a volley of heat-seeking missiles, his incendiary salvo bore down on an oblivious Iron Man, but Titanium Man took notice right away.
Rex: Tony look out!
Titanium Man: Vysmatrivat'!
He cried in alarm, streaking past the armored Avenger and taking the incoming volley point blank, an explosion enveloping his verdant frame as Tony whirled around in surprise. Shocked by the Winter Guardsman's selflessness, he looked in on shocked horror as Titanium Man disappeared from view in a fiery plume.
Generator/Rex: No!/No!
Down on the ground, Thor, Darkstar, Wasp and Vanguard joined forces to attack Crimson Dynamo, beams of, lightning and photons striking him Darkforce, bio-electricity; in vain. Thor cried, channeling his electromechanical suit. angry power into Mjolnir.
Crimson Dynamo: Perhaps. But I am not a liar nor thief. Not like Stark.
Vanko retorted, using his surviving traversal systems to escape the onslaught.
Catching Titanium Man in his arms, Iron Man brought him to the ground.
Iron Man: Stay with me, I've got you!
He promised, setting Brois down as his restored external sensors quickly swept over his chassis.
Iron Man: You saved me... Why? Why would you-
He abruptly stopped, his scans drawing a negative response that caused a look of horror that dawned on him.
Iron Man: Your armor, I... oh no, I... that's not my design at all.
He realized. His gaze lingered on the exposed, sparking reactor core powering his suit. It glowed green, possibly dangerously so, energy readings were climbing and far too quickly for it to be a safe thing.
Titanium Man: I-Iron Man," [sputtering.] , the power core... it is still unstable. it is going to explode.
A High intensity radiation. A design flaw. As Tony asked about the blast radius.
Iron Man: What's the blast radius?
Titanium Man: Several miles... you must run...
Boris urged. Reaching into his chestplate, Tony tore out the power core instead
Iron Man: I don't think so.
With that, he took to the skies at top speed, his boosters propelling him at a supersonic pace into the upper reaches of the sky. He disappeared moments later when Titanium Man's core detonated, filling the sky with a man-made dawn that illuminated the plateau below with orange and gold. Avenger and Winter Guard alike stopped to watch, each offering a silent prayer in hope that Tony had survived his suicide mission.
Generator Rex then saw something.
Rex: Hey look!
The moment a larger piece of smoking debris plummeted from the cloud of smoke and flame, Generator Rex transformed into Flight mode as Thor took off in hot pursuit. Generator Rex flew at high speed and went into strength mode as he grabs the smoking debris and land in the snow with Rex landing on his back as Thor then came across the scorched and shattered remains of Iron Man's armor, a bloody and bruised Tony visible beneath the broken faceplate, catching a few scant words muttered between coughs.
Iron Man: Sorry... Avengers... may... m-may have been wrong...
Iron Man apologized before passing out.
Some time later
Coming to with a cough, Tony felt the chilly alpine air bite at the exposed flesh of his bruised face before he groaned,
Iron Man: ow... being dead sucks.
The friendly faces of his colleagues and newfound allies above him, it took Ant-Man and Vanguard to hoist him to his feet.
Captain America: I think you're gonna be okay, soldier.
Iron Man: Where's Dynamo?
Black Panther: Gone. He escaped during the explosion.
Generator: Which was big.
Wasp: It was really big.
Wasp emphasized. Tony nodded in agreement, having experienced it for himself, and turned to the Russian heroes.
Iron Man: Look, Vanguard... I'm sorry. This is all my fault.
Tony apologized as Nikolai nodded in acceptance and agreement.
Vanguard: You are right. But we weren't entirely truthful either. The Winter Guard did try and recruit that zlodey Crimson Dynamo. We realized our mistake, but not before people were hurt. Now we try to make up for that mistake, nashe pokayaniye.
Tony seemed to understand better this time around, nodding as Nikolai spoke.
Vanguard: When next we meet, let us meet as allies, tovarish.
He offered and Tony quickly nodded.
Iron Man: Agreed.
The Winter Guard turned to leave, Vanguard offering a hand of salute.
Vanguard: Proshchaniye, Avengers. And good hunting!
The Avengers waved them off before Tony turned inwards, one more apology to make.
Iron Man: Guys... I'm sorry. Dynamo... I got blinded. I just had to be the one to take him down.
Thor: Of course. For all your gold and science, you are still a warrior at heart.
Thor sympathized, a hand on Tony shoulder.
Iron Man: It's just... I've seen my technology destroy lives too often. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by it.
Captain America: Understandable. But you're not up against this alone.
Iron Man: [Sighed.] I know. It's just... It takes some getting used to. This team thing. And now, because of me, Crimson Dynamo is still on the loose.
Black Panther: Wakandan elders often say 'he who recognizes his fault is already fully healed'.
As Black Panther sagely offered wisdom to the team.
Black Panther: Now the question is, will you learn from this or repeat the lesson later?
Iron Man: The former, I hope.
Rex: Then let us return back to the Mansion. And we'll keep a watchful eye in case Anton shows his ugly iron underwear we'll be ready to take him on.
Iron Man smiles at that and so did the rest of the Avengers as they head to the Quinjet.
Avengers Mansion
We see Rex working on the Avenge cycle Engine as then a pair of yellow high heeled boots are into view as Rex then sees those shoes and gets out from under his engine he was working on and see's Janet.
Rex: Janet! It's good to see you. How are you?
Janet: I'm good. I just wanted to say thanks.
Rex: For what?
Janet: For saving me from that Darkstar lady.
Rex: Anytime.
Janet: So you doing anything else for today?
Rex: Not really. I'm just trying to get the engine to work. Need to take a break.
Janet: Well, why don't we watch a movie.
Rex: A movie? But what about Hank?
Janet: He's in his lab with Generator talking about the Ai mainframe and Darkstar energy from the other dimension.
Rex: Really? Well. I think I'll be delighted to join you in movie night tonight.
Janet: Great. I'm picking the movie.
Rex: I'll get the popcorn.
The two get together as they enjoy each other company as Rex was actually happy being with Janet as he then realized something. Generator was right. He loved being with Janet, he would do whatever it took to keep her happy, he would always be there to help if she needed it, he would support her and she was in love with someone else...
Rex then realized that he loved a woman who isn't in love with him and he would have to live with this love obsession for Jan all in his head and would never be able to tell anyone this especially Generator as he would never live this down.
Rex: [Thoughts.] Generator was right... I am in love with Jan.
Elsewhere, on the northern coast of Germany
Anton Having limped his Crimson Dynamo suit back to his secret home, Anton stripped off his armor and hung it up for some much needed repairs. Scorch marks, dents and other superficial plating damage were the least of his worries.
Entire systems needed to be rebooted and overhauled, a near-complete internal makeover scheduled in the pilot's mind.
But it would all be worth it.
Crimson Dynamo: I will make my armor better, more powerful. I will destroy him.
He murmured in the dim light of his workshop.
Running a hand across crumpled crimson plating, Anton knew that the freedom the breakout had provided him was an opportunity to be better than before. He had to make the Crimson Dynamo armor the best it could possibly be.
Crimson Dynamo: I will destroy Tony Stark, even if I have to destroy the Avengers to do it.
A green glow suddenly lit his shop and Anton whirled around as a voice with a feminine lilt called his name.
Female Voice: You wish to destroy the Avengers, Anton Vanko?
His eyes adjusting to the light, Anton quickly took note of a woman in green as she is known as Amora the Enchantress from Asgard, flanked by the regal form of Baron Zemo, the imposing Skurge, The Mad Mutant Scientist Toxzon, and the unstable Wonder Man. Enchantress offered him an alluring smile
Enchantress: We can help You.
She promised, as Baron Zemo steps forward.
Baron Zemo: Join our ranks, Doctor Vanko, ranks of men just like you... men who want the Avengers dead.
Zemo offered. Anton didn't say a word, but his smile was all they needed.
