Chapter Five
What Happened?
When Tyroth arrived in the mess hall, almost everyone was there to hear the news.
Old George sat at the front with Sonia and the Geckolings.
The Chicago Knights, apart from Kate, Jake and Devina were there, Kate was absent because of course she was looking after Michelangelo, Jake because he wanted to be with Monalisa, and Devina because she was still recovering from Tyroth's Heat.
Almost everyone was talking at the same time and asking so many questions.
Tyroth rolled his eyes as he walked to the front of the mess hall and held up his hands.
Sephie and Amber went to join George and sat down.
"Everyone! Order! Order!" he shouted and at once everyone quietened down.
Tyroth sighed and closed his eyes then looked up again.
"Thank you!" he said then took a deep breath and began to speak, his loud voice resonating around the room.
"Now, I know all of you are curious to what had taken place in New York! From the time I had that feeling and vision something was wrong to when we returned with our friends!"
Everyone murmured in agreement and sat still to listen to Tyroth.
Old George leaned on his cane as he listened to Tyroth speak of what happened when they had arrived at the Foot Headquarters and how he had seen his friends get hurt by their enemies, then of their conditions.
Even though he had been told of what had happened by Tyroth earlier, it never failed to shock him again of what had happened.
In fact, as Tyroth spoke, everyone in the Mess Hall gasped in horror.
"Oh no!"
"They can't be!"
"Poor Pandora! Her parents! Her Uncle Don!"
"Poor Kemeko!"
Tania began to cry as she thought of her sweet friend Monalisa in an induced coma after being poisoned by Black Mamba and Cam instantly put his arm around her to comfort her.
Rattletrap for once during the meeting never said a word as he listened, and he thought about when he had been tampering with the Ninjet and it had failed to take off when the Knights needed it the most and he sighed with guilt.
"I should never have touched it!" he lamented to himself "I should have left it well alone! I'm such a foolish idiot!"
When Tyroth got to the part that Kemeko now knew of her origins to the Foot, everyone gasped in shock.
"She knows!?"
"Oh my Gods!"
"The Poor Child!"
"I can't imagine what she's going through!"
Tyroth then spoke again.
"Yes, it is unfortunate that Kemeko now knows the truth and she is devastated to know of it, but she did all she could to save her family, including attempting seppuku."
"She tried to kill herself!"
"No!"
"She didn't!?"
"Is she alright!?"
"Everyone!" Tyroth barked "The good news is, she will pull through, but it's going to take a long time for her to heal, and the same can be said for the others, so I decree that we give our friends space and time to heal, and be gentle with them and help them get through these difficult times, until they feel they are fit to return to New York, Mutopia will be their home, their sanctuary and place to recover!"
At that everyone cheered and clapped in agreement.
"Hear Hear!"
"Absolutely!"
"Well said T!"
Tyroth sighed as he got his breath back, glad he was able to get the others to agree to his terms on the wellbeing of his friends.
He then cleared his throat as he looked back at the residents.
"Then it comes to my next report, on the Shredder!"
Everyone went quiet again and the weeping Tania and the guilt-ridden Rattletrap looked up to listen.
Flashback
Tyroth stood facing the Shredder and growled.
Shredder too stared down the Dragon and got into a fighting stance, as he did so, Arashi, Dr Arden, Hanako and the Venomous Five edged towards the back of the room.
"Master! No!" Arashi shouted "Don't! You have no chance against him!"
'Listen to him!" Dr Arden roared.
But the Shredder paid no attention to his second in commanded and head scientist.
"I fear no mutant! I fear no Monster! I fear no magic…I fear Nothing!"
Then with a roar he leapt for Tyroth who in turn leapt towards him.
As they clashed, they fought in hand-to-hand combat.
Tyroth knew he could easily smite the evil man with one blow of his paw, but he didn't want to make this an easy fight, and he wanted to do it with honour.
At the same time, the Dragon saw Arashi, Dr Arden, Hanako and the Venomous Five disappear behind the broken throne and into a secret door.
Shredder saw them leave as well as was furious.
"Come back you cowards!" he roared then turned back to Tyroth before backflipping away from him.
"I will not submit to some freak!" he shouted, "I will not fall!"
Tyroth snorted and clenched his fists.
He knew how cocky the evil man was, and how confident he was about winning a battle and that was always his downfall.
"As always Oruko Saki!" Tyroth snarled "You're so confident in yourself that you claim victory before you win! But you're a fool! You will fall tonight!" he then let out a loud roar and spread his wings.
"Come at me freak!" Shredder challenged as he prepared his blades.
"So be it!" Tyroth growled then he flew upwards into the air and broke through the ceiling.
Shredder looked up in surprise, but he wasn't prepared as Tyroth dived down with his large fists on fire and pounded the Shredder through the floor and they soon started to go through every floor in the building.
Every time they went through, Tyroth punched and pounded at the Shredder's metal body.
Shredder slashed at the Dragon with his blades but the wounds each time he struck, they just healed up in less than a second!
As they fell, Shredder then moved so he was on top of Tyroth and stabbed him in the throat!
Tyroth gasped as he felt the blades go through and Shredder jumped onto his chest.
His artificial skin and clothes were burning away due to Tyroth's flames, yet it didn't stop him, and he drove his blades in more then used his other blades to stab in Tyroth's chest.
"You will not stop me! Monster! Freak!" he bellowed as the skin on his face burnt and melted away to show this metal face with soulless eyes through the sockets.
As Tyroth gasped feeling the blades in his throat he looked up to see a flock of bats flying down towards him and start to surround the Shredder.
Tyroth's eyes widened as he realised who was there.
"Devina!?" he croaked.
The bats soon formed into Devina's human form, and she wrapped her legs and arms around the Shredder, her red eyes blazing and her fangs long as she opened her mouth.
"Devina!" Tyroth shouted "Get out of here! I got this!"
But Devina didn't hear the Dragon as she wrenched Shredder off Tyroth withdrawing his blades and leapt off him before using her legs to slam him down!
Tyroth shook off his shock as he wounds healed and he opened his wings to regain control before looking down ground zero where Devina had slammed Shredder down.
Devina looked over at Tyroth and Tyroth nodded in thanks before powering up his paws and baring his teeth as he flew down at Shredder who with half his skin and clothes burnt away stood up only to be faced with the Dragon flying down towards him.
Tyroth then punched Shredder hard sending him flying into some burning rubble.
"You bastard!" he growled "You hurt my friends, you tried to steal Kemeko! You live only for your own selfish gain! You live to bring harm to others! This I will not stand for!"
"I do not…. fear you!" the Shredder spat as he stood up "No Man! Nor monster! Can defeat me!"
Tyroth growled and powered up his mana and firepower.
"Is that a fact?" he challenged "Is that a fact?"
He glared as he saw Shredder stand up then run at him again blades up and roaring and they once again fought hand to hand combat.
Tyroth snorted then he grabbed Shredder by the throat.
"You are nothing!" he roared "You are nothing compared to me! You claim to not fear me? Well, I will convince you otherwise! You hurt my friends, you hurt my family! You have no honour! And you will forever live without honour!"
He then roared and he punched the Shredder hard in the midsection, both the heat melted the exo-skeleton, and the force sent the evil man flying backwards into the fiery rubble and the metal form of the Shredder soon disappeared within the rocks and fire!
Tyroth glared as he watched then turned to face Devina only to see the Vampiress passed out on the ground.
"Devina!" he shouted as he ran over and gathered the undead woman his arms, and he then realised that it must have been the intense heat from both him and the fire around him that must have affected her.
He looked back at the place where Shredder had disappeared and as much as he wanted to make sure the evil Foot Leader was dead and gone, he knew he couldn't leave Devina to suffer amongst the heat, so he started to fly upwards to exit the building and back to their friends.

"So you have no idea if the evil man is truly gone?"
"Well given what happened, I doubt anyone, given human, mutant or alien would have survived!"
Tyroth raised his arms again.
"I speak the truth when I say, if I used the power I had when I defeated Vulstrun two years ago, I would have put the city at risk, so I had to hold back on some of my power."
"That is true!" Amber agreed.
Jack nodded as he listened.
"Oh, for sure, I can only remember that day!"
"Me too!" Percy said.
"Does that mean that the Shredder might still be alive?" Amber asked as she looked at Sephie.
"I don't know Amber." Sephie said "If he did survive, it would be a miracle, and even if he did perish, you know that another will take his place within the Foot, more than likely Arashi will regain his place!"
Amber glared as she thought of Arashi.
She only knew too well of that evil man and what he was capable of.
"Nothing would surprise me if he feels joy at regaining the position of leader of the Foot if Shredder perished." She thought to herself.
Meanwhile back in New York at the Foot Headquarters, Arashi and Dr Arden rode on the backs of Komodo Dragon and Nile Monitor as they went down through the middle of the building where Tyroth had driven Shredder through.
"Damn!" Arashi growled "This will take months to fix!"
"And we still have our ninja to recover after they fled like cowards!" Dr Arden snarled, although both men agreed that it had been a wise decision to flee the Dragon as they knew only too well of his power.
As they went lower, they saw the fell damage, as well as the unfortunate souls of some Ninja who didn't make it out alive.
Before long they made it to ground zero and they saw a pile of rubble along with bits of metal and small fires burned around.
Komodo Dragon and Nile Monitor made it to the lowest level and Arashi and Dr Arden slid off their backs.
Both men looked around and searched amongst the fiery and smoking rubble.
"No-one could have survived this!" Arashi stated.
So saying he saw many bodies of some souls who didn't make it out, servants and ninjas alike who never made it out.
Dr Arden frowned as he too searched then turned to Komodo Dragon and Nile Monitor.
"Look around!" he ordered to which the two lizards nodded and looked around, scanning with their wicked eyes, and tasting the air with their tongues.
Arashi looked around and a thought crossed his mind.
"If Shredder has not survived," he thought "Then I may reclaim my place as Lord and Leader, like I have before."
A Smirk grew across his face as he envisioned himself as the Foots newly crowned leader.
"All Hail Lord Arashi, once again." He thought.
Just then, he heard some rocks shifting at the side and he looked over to see a pile of rubble moving then collapsing then a metal hand with some melted and half burnt artificial appeared.
Arashi ran over and he watched as the hand twitched then flopped, then the rocks shifted again, and the metal body of Shredder fell forward and at Arashi's feet.
Arashi stared at the exo-skeleton body then knelt at the head.
"So…you did somewhat survive, and we all believed you to be dead by the dragon's hand!"
He turned the body over and opened the inside of the belly and revealed the red alien utrom body of Chrell, injured and barely concious.
"You were a fool! Master! You tried to take on the Dragon and you failed!" Arashi taunted.
The Alien embodiment of the Shredder was barely alive, and struggling to still move, as he saw Arashi he snarled and spat but then fell back and passed out.
Arashi glared and stood up ready to leave the body, but he soon saw Dr Arden, Komodo Dragon and Nile Monitor walking over.
"I found him!" he called over quickly "But he is unwell and injured, we must transport him to your lab! Immediately!"
Dr Arden walked over and looked at Chrell.
"Jeez Marie!" he said, "How in God's name is he still functioning?"
Arashi just shrugged.
"Well." Dr Arden said, "We shall take him to my Labs, or what's left of them to recover, then we shall decide what to do from there."
He clicked his fingers and Komodo Dragon took Chrell from the Exoskeleton and started to climb the walls.
"And when and if he recovers." Arashi said as he followed Dr Arden and they both climbed on Nile Monitor's back "I will rule the Foot." A smirk formed on his lips again "At last…."
So Tyroth has spoken of what happened when he and Shredder fought, and Arashi and Dr Arden have found Shredder amongst the wreackage of the building, injured, yet still alive!
