Chapter 63
Neji stared wide-eyed, his shock was palpable enough to gain sentient. This was not Naruto Uzumaki, Neji was afraid of activating his eyes, was this fate showing him its true form? Neji choked when he felt pressure squeezing at his neck like a vice grip even though no one had their hand on him.
The Hyūga found himself taking a knee by force, his trembling lips and trembling body revealed how scared he was. Neji looked up taking a deep breath of air when the pressure on his neck came loose only to lock gazes with those red slit eyes that now stared back at him with a blank stare of hate.
'This is not Naruto Uzumaki.' Neji reasserted when he looked down at the hand that held onto his grandfather's severed left hand that leaked bodily fluid.
'This is not Naruto Uzumaki.' Neji hoped, he watched the villain in front of him twist on his heel and take a throwing position before launching the severed appendage back at its owner. His grandfather finally stopped making that infuriating sound of pain when the hand hit him in the temple with great force leaving him unconscious. The silence to follow gave Neji room to think.
The Genin Hyūga quickly saw an opening in the form of the villain giving him his back but when he tried to stand there were suddenly two blondes. The clone came out of the fox-like red cloak of chakra that made up the blonde's new armor like an afterimage. Neji didn't understand the knowledge fate used, it made no sense.
The member of team 9 felt the pressure holding him down diminish by a margin but what was the point when the new blonde with the same red shroud surrounding him had his clawed hands squeezing at his throat with its face now very close to Neji's face?
The eyes that looked at him made him drop a tear of actual fear, there was curiosity in those eyes, like a predator that wanted to play with his prey. Neji began clawing at his attacker's hand which only caused him more damage. He already knew his Juuken would not work against the acidic chakra grilling his neck like bacon in the shape of the Uzumaki's hand.
It would leave a bad scar, Neji already had a scar on his chin from his match against Lee.
Neji found the pressure on his neck loosened before leaving completely with a crash sounding in the distance. The Hyūga took a deep breath before he looked up to his savior and found himself unable to identify the person. This individual had a shroud of his own, a second later it faded away.
Neji growled when he saw another person he hated. Fate was toying with him all along. Fate made him think he was something special, strong, and worthy but then it slowly got tired of the games and like a little child it was now gonna have its final fun with him.
"You kneel there like I saved your life to simply bow before me, peasant. Go collect your grandfather, the Leaf Ninjas will be arriving soon."Neji openly barred his teeth at Toneri Ōtsutsuki when he degraded him, but the man had his eyes closed.
Everything was going to Shit for Neji and fast. Neji Hyūga, the praised prodigy of the Hyūga clan reduced to everybody's mat to walk on and wipe their dirty shoes. Neji was gonna strike back, but Toneri smirked like an egotistical maniac. Hinata's cousin remembered when he use to utilize that same smirk but he now understood he was laughing with the people laughing at him.
"A simple insect." The Ōtsutsuki mocked before jumping up just as a red chakra spike came out of the ground in his previous position. Neji quickly backed away on his ass from the bubbling red chakra.
The shock that hit the Hyūga boy when the chakra spike suddenly became a chakra hand as big as him and tried to grab onto his form was the only thing that saved his life. The adrenaline rush had him acting quickly, rolling back and then right to dodge it.
Neji tsk'd and ran towards his unconscious grandfather, picking the aged man up and putting him on his shoulder before dashing to the Hyūga compound for one of the main family's private doctors. In the corner of his eyes, Neji spotted Toneri picking Hinata up bridal style and dashing away.
Three blocks down the road Neji found Kō Hyūga who was sent flying by the blonde still struggling to stand while he threw up crimson on every other attempt to get on his feet. Neji knew the signs of internal bleeding when he saw it, the punch that the villain behind him landed on Kō's chest was a punch Neji knew Guy would not be able to shake off.
'That is not Naruto Uzumaki.' Neji thought with certainty in his mind, if that was Naruto Uzumaki then he had been fooled for 6 years by fate. Neji's pride would not let him believe the foolish Uzumaki who was always laughing with Hinata-Sama could pull such a face and make his stomach turn in fear.
Neji passed Kō, it was protocol after all not that he was following it. The Hyūga elder would die if they did not stop the bleeding soon, Neji stopped. He knew exactly who the Hyūga elder was, the old senile man had a part in Neji's bad fortune.
Neji chuckled a second later on reflex, a sign of someone losing sight of reality. The Genin Hyūga quickly scanned the eerily quiet streets of Konoha and slowly walked into an alleyway in the fourth block with an uncharacteristic smile plastered on his face.

Jiraiya and Kakashi Hatake jumped from rooftop to rooftop heading towards the source of the feeling that left the leaf village as silent as a horror movie. Jiraiya looked down at the civilians who still roamed the streets of Konoha during sleep hours, his kind of people, now they lay on the ground unconscious, he hoped.
'Let us hope it is not like the last time.' Jiraiya prayed, 12 years ago every person they saw in that position stayed that way, they didn't have Tsunade back then and they didn't have her now. The highest casualty in what is now called the Kyuubi Attack was the Civilians of the leaf village. Their council already had a civil case against the Village blaming the Shinobi population for the attack.
The Sanin felt that it was different today compared to 12 years ago, for one there wasn't a sound to be heard. As Shinobi they contributed by not making a sound as they moved. The civilians were not panicking, there was no wide mass chaos, and the leaf village suddenly became a ghost village. The air around them seemed to stand still and the closer Jiraiya got to the source the more silent it became.
The perverted guy reached the point of no return and was met by Naruto walking out of a crater, the first thing Jiraiya noticed was Naruto's hair waving behind him like 9 golden tails covered in a red chakra shroud. The second thing he noticed was the dead serious eyes that greeted them all.
"I expected him to be angry and berserker, he seems in control." Kakashi told Jiraiya who thought otherwise. Those red slit eyes spelled death and the fact he was looking past them and into the distance meant he had his target.
Jiraiya caught sight of Kakashi tensing his muscles and a second later Naruto dropped on all four. Naruto's visage was calm but his eyes were focused, his blank stare brought Jiraiya nothing but bad omens. The Sanin readied himself when he saw two identical blondes form from the chakra shroud in the same position as the Original.
"He is coming." Kakashi told the Sanin and true enough they came, Lucky for them they were Jōnin, unlucky for them the angry boy in front of them was not into the stalling game.
Kakashi's eyes widened when the original Naruto who stayed behind when his clones attacked vanished like a Mirage. The copy Ninja quickly realized that the boy had mastered the Jutsu Shisui was teaching him.
Kakashi swerved around the clawed swipe from a clone and kicked it away only for the clone to stand and not pop from his attack. The clone created two more clones the same way the Original did and attacked Kakashi Hatake with his partners.
"How sad and I was just about to talk Jiraiya into making me his beta reader." Kakashi sighed and got himself ready for the onslaught. The three blonde clones leaped at the silver-haired Jōnin and he drew his Kunai twirling it in his left hand before holding it in a reverse grip. He struck when the blondes were at arm's length.
In the distance, he heard Jiraiya doing the same.

'Hinata.' Naruto was in a haze of anger, they laid their hands on her. The blonde found another culprit who laid his unworthy hands on his hime three blocks away and attacked with precision but no mercy.
The blonde was quick, Kō never noticed how his right arm that touched Hinata was ripped from its socket and fed back to him to shut him up. The Hyūga dropped tears at the eyes that promised him death, Kō was about to beg for his life but he was out cold a second later when the blonde kicked his kneeling form in the stomach and sent him flying again, this time through a wall.
Kō Hyūga found himself in a civilian house, the man and wife sleeping in their bed did not wake up or register the chaos he caused at his entry. The two civilians turned, whimpered, and shivered in their sleep looking like they were going through a shared dark nightmare. Kō joined them in lala land a moment later due to blood loss and trauma.
Naruto sniffed the air and was quick to find the direction Hinata's scent went. All his senses seemed to be working on extra charge. The blonde used the Shuushine and vanished from his previous spot. With the fox's chakra running through him, he covered the distance at unimaginable rates.
The Jinchuriki of the nine-tailed fox hopped on the adjacent wall of a house and launched himself to the next house across the street. He did not bother with the surface walking exercise and simply used his speed to defy gravity, running on the adjacent surface before jumping onto a light pole. Naruto grabbed onto the horizontal surface of the light pole with both hands and swung himself around it three times before letting go at the peak of his third swing.
The possessed Uzumaki soared far and high through the sky. When he looked down he spotted his target dashing away with his Hinata in his skinny arms. The only indication that Naruto did not like what he saw was the added feature of a tail made out of the chakra shroud surrounding him sprouting out behind him.
'Hinata.' The new feature soared down at Toneri's retreating form with great speed. The Ōtsutsuki Leaped left, dodging the appendage, and continued his dash.
The tail dug into the ground and hooked itself down before Naruto tugged, dragging himself down with great speed and force. His landing picked up a dust cloud that obscured his form and created a 15 feet crater.
A second later he was outside the dust cloud dashing after Toneri like a beast of war. Naruto's appearance did not change drastically, his whisker marks got thicker, his teeth showed he had sharper K-9s and his eyes were red and slit-like.
The blonde saw an Uchiha police force member jump down from a rooftop and land in his way going through hand seals. Naruto sent his tail forward to attack the Uchiha but the man had his eyes activated so he saw the attack coming and he dodged, smirking.
"Fire style: Great Mmh Mmh mhhh!" The tail suddenly had an extra limb that was revealed to be a forming clone that now had its clawed hand on the Uchiha's mouth shutting him up. The acidic property of the red chakra surrounding the hand burned the flesh off the man where the clone held him.
The Uchiha watched wide-eyed at the emotionless clone that stared him down but what he feared most was the fast-approaching blonde who created it. Naruto reached the Uchiha a second later and grabbed him by the neck while he ran forward dragging him along for the rough ride.
The man could not cry out for help because of the death grip on his neck that grilled his skin, so he decided to claw at the hand strangling him to death only to get burned on the tips of his fingers.
Naruto aimed and threw the man in his left hand at Toneri's form in the distance like a projectile with great force that had the man folding forward as he flew. The officer knew he has never traveled so fast before, it was a scary experience.
Itachi appeared in the way of the thrown Uchiha and caught him, he studied the officer's injuries so he came better prepared if he were to have to face the blonde. The prodigy of the Uchiha Clan landed and placed the whimpering Uchiha on the ground against a wall, a medic-nin would be arriving soon.
Hiruzen landed next to Itachi a second later followed by Guy, Kurenai, Fugaku, and Asuma. Naruto scanned the people trying to keep him from Hinata and a second tail sprouted, indicating his increased anger which increased the pressure surrounding the village by two folds.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" A voice shouted. Naruto sent his second tail at the Civilian on the ground who suddenly woke up from his nightmare in a cold sweat only to come face to face with a sharp red projectile about to end his life. Itachi was quick to dash to the civilian and move him out of the way, but when the sensei of team 7 handed the civilian to a medic-nin who came to the front lines, he was already out cold and shivering.
The tail retracted back to Naruto joining its partner and began waving behind him like snakes about to strike. The blonde had not pulled an expression since his change, his expression only spelled grave mistake to fuck with, he was already covered in blood that was clearly not his.

"NARUTO-KUN!!" Hinata cried out in Toneri's arms. The Ōtsutsuki teenager stopped running and looked down at the heiress in his arms before giving her his best charming smile only to get a hand on his face that shoved his face away.
Hinata fought to get off Toneri's grasp and succeeded. She wobbled on her sleepy feet but gained her balance and tried to look for her blonde lover by searching for his presence but could not find him. She felt hate all around her, it was physically disturbing her but she began walking toward it.
"I wouldn't recommend going that way Byakugan princess, a foul monster has shown its colors and is causing havoc in the village." Hinata only registered one-word 'monster' and she feared for who Toneri might be talking about. The heiress to the Hyūga clan ran towards the source of the malevolent killing intent all around her.
"Wait!" Toneri said grabbing Hinata's shoulder but he was surprised when she turned around in anger and attacked him with a palm strike. Toneri let go of her shoulder and jumped away from her, he expected her to attack again but she was already at a distance running towards the sound of fighting going on.
Toneri growled in anger and ran after her, unable to call upon his powers for longer than a second at a time because he has not met a certain condition.
Hinata felt fear for her Naruto-Kun, she could not feel his loving and caring feelings anymore only hate and anger. Hinata gasped when she felt Naruto in great pain, she quickly picked up her speed, her surrounding becoming a blur, not like she could see as she got closer and closer to Naruto.
'I'm coming, Naruto-Kun.' Hinata thought with frustration settling in when she felt that Toneri was fast approaching but she felt relief when he stopped chasing after her.

Jiraiya and Kakashi arrived to find Naruto Uzumaki fighting the likes of Hiruzen Sarutobi, Fugaku Uchiha, and Might Guy. On closer observation, they realized it was not a fight and more like a three-on-one gang-up.
Fugaku with his three tomoe Sharingan ducked a swipe from the blonde that revealed Guy behind him coming in hot with his right leg outstretched in a one-leg drop kick. Guy made contact and Naruto was sent flying back from the attack twisting and turning on the ground while creating a trench on the road before colliding with a weapons store.
The blonde was up and attacking again a moment later with two clones. Fugaku drew a Fuma Shuriken from a scroll and threw it at one blonde with great force. The clone on the left side of the Original sent its chakra tail to intercept the projectile before he leaped and threw the sharp object at Guy who was coming in for another attack.
The sensei of team 9 was only about to dodge the projectile by throwing himself out of the way due to the speed it traveled in. The Fuma Shuriken found itself inside somebody's home after punching a hole through a house.
"Kakashi, assist them." Kakashi nodded at his Hokage's order and disappeared in a puff of smoke to join the fight. Hatake jumped up and went through hand signs before calling out.
"Water Style: water colliding wave!" Kakashi spewed a stream of water from his mouth aimed at the blonde. Naruto got blasted and washed away by the force of the water technique before he felt an electric shock tase him.
"Fire Style: Great fireball jutsu!" Fugaku called out sending a 30-foot ball of flames at the blonde who shook his head as though shaking off dizziness from Kakashi's Lightning style: Electric murder jutsu.
The ball of flames made contact with Naruto a moment later and detonated on contact, sending the blonde flying towards the awaiting Guy who met him with a roundhouse kick to his back almost folding him over the Taijutsu specialist's leg. Naruto finally showed emotion and that was of pain as he spits out blood from his mouth.
'Hinata.' The blonde thought in his rage-induced state. He just wanted them to return her to him, he just wanted to be by her side. Asuma made his move, going through hand seals of his own and calling out his jutsu.
"Wind Style: Air bullet jutsu!" Naruto spits out more blood when an air bullet struck him in the chest and sent him flying toward the third Hokage who now had in his hand his famed adamantine pole.
The third had a look of seriousness in his eyes, the kind of look you saw in people who would do anything to protect something or someone precious to them. It was a shame for Naruto that he somehow did not find himself in that position because the pole that struck him in the head had him seeing stars and they heard a crack.
"Naruto-Kun!" Hinata shouted in fear arriving at the scene just as Naruto was sent flying into a house. Hiruzen looked to the Hyūga heiress and wondered what she was doing up and about.
"Restrain her so she does not get herself hurt." Hiruzen instructed Kurenai who nodded and dashed to Hinata just in time to stop her from rushing towards the blonde who was coming out of the house he was sent in.
Naruto came out bloody and breathing hard using the hole he made in the wall as support to keep himself up. The blonde took quite the punishment from the Jōnins of Konoha and their Kage but even through the haze of anger Naruto did register Hinata's voice calling him. The blonde turned his head left then right and spotted his hime being held back by the sensei of team 8.
'Hinata.' Naruto thought smiling when he saw her worried expression that he found beautiful. Everyone was shocked to find the red chakra receding from the blonde's form. When it was completely gone everybody thought they might have over did it with the beating because the blonde was as bloody as a newborn baby. Most of the blood coming down was from his head where the Hokage struck him.
Naruto fell to his knees with his hands limp on his sides. She was okay, his princess was not hurt, he wanted to stand up and go hug her but he felt so weak, he felt so tired. Naruto did not understand why he felt that way, he remembered seeing Hinata drop and everything from there turned blank.
"Naruto-Kun!" Hinata shouted when she felt Naruto's presence weaken while his love for her replaced the hate he had in him a moment ago. Hinata shocked Kurenai who was paying attention to the changes in Naruto by attacking her with a two-finger trust to her wrist which loosened her grip on the heiress.
"Let her go to him." Jiraiya instructed the Jōnin about to intercept Hinata. Hiruzen raised an eyebrow at that but nodded to his Jōnin who wanted his opinion on the matter.

Hinata slid to a stop in front of Naruto and wrapped him in a hug, she could feel the immense pain he was in as though she was the one injured. Hinata moved her head back and activated her dojutsu to assess the damage done to her blonde lover and she wished she hadn't.
"You are so beautiful." Naruto whispered while looking at Hinata's activated dojutsu and smiled with blood leaking down his lips. The blonde did not care for his injuries he just wanted his hime close to him like this.
Hinata did an X-ray scan and saw a rib had snapped and punctured Naruto's left lung from Guy's dynamic entry. His left arm was twisted in the wrong direction and his face was beginning to swell with a crack in the back of his skull courtesy of Hiruzen's sturdy monkey. The blonde also had third-degree burns on his abdomen and chest where his jacket and shirt were burnt with the culprit being Fugaku Uchiha.
Hinata was not happy with what she saw, she was infuriated by what she saw. They did this to her Naruto-Kun, these people who didn't understand the first thing about him attacked him like an animal when they saw him as a threat. She could feel their emotions telling her as much.
Guy was ready to put Naruto down if ordered to, and so was Kurenai. Itachi was sad, Hinata could feel that and was guilt-ridden to see Naruto in that state. Kakashi was in the same boat as Guy and Kurenai, there were lingering emotions there that the copy ninja did a good job of putting to the far recesses of his mind. Jiraiya of the Sanin was scared, he seemed fearful about something, and that fear was directed at the blonde who had gone unconscious in her arms.
"Rest Naruto-Kun, I am here." Hinata whispered to the boy who had his head laying on her shoulder sleeping with a smile on his face because he had her close by. The Hyūga Heiress looked back at the people who caused her best friend pain and glared at each of them, nobody was exempt from her judging eyes.
Hiruzen was the one her eyes lasted on the longest, the man who stood there feeling proud of himself for stopping a 'catastrophic attack' on his precious village. He did not seem to care for Naruto's condition, his emotions telling Hinata that he believed the blonde would be okay.
"I won't let them ever hurt you again Naruto-Kun that is the promise of a lifetime." Hinata promised in a whisper to the blonde who slept in her arms. All along Hinata concentrated on the air of love that replaced the killing intent that surrounded the village a few minutes ago, the village now seeming peaceful.

"HahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA 98 HAHAHhahah HAHAHA 99!" Neji sat on his grandfather's unmoving form, straddling his stomach with a bloody Kunai in his hand that he brought down repeatedly to stab the elder Hyūga in the chest.
"One hundred! Hahah." Neji looking bloody with the biggest disturbing grin on his face stood up and looked at his handy work. He was not satisfied, that high he felt was short-lived, and he wanted to experience it again. Neji shivered in bliss at the idea to enter his mind before he walked over to his grandfather's corpse and plucked the Byakugan from his eyes.
"This is my first victory fate." Neji said menacingly to no one in particular but when he remembered Naruto who Neji believes to be Fate's champion his anger soared and he raised his leg. When he dropped it he applied chakra to boost his strength.
The elder's body jerked up whenever Neji's leg came down on its face, making it bloodier as he broke teeth, nose, and lips and cracked the skull in multiple places.
"Who is laughing now?… hahahahaha" The final kick Neji landed was on the side of the elder's head. The kick raised the elder into the air and sent him on a collision course with the adjacent wall of the alleyway.
The corpse met the brick wall head first which had the head splitting open from the cracks in the skull. The corpse slid down the wall and dropped to the floor leaving blood on the gray surface of the wall. The Hyūga elder had been dead for quite some time already.
"You must hate the guy, but how do you plan on explaining all of this to Konoha?" Neji turned his head towards the voice to speak and found an unexpected visitor leaning against the entrance of the alleyway.
"What do you want, this does not concern you." Neji replied taking a ready stance to strike if the newcomer became a threat.
"I want the Byakugan princess, you will do as I say from now on or I will reveal what you did here today." Toneri stepped into the alleyway and into the light while outstretching his arm forward palm open and a green orb formed above it.
Neji's eyes widened when the green ball began playing the images of the events that had just transpired. He looked demented in the close-up of his face while he stabbed and stabbed his grandfather with wide excited eyes and a disturbingly wide snake-like smile.
"Bow peasant." Toneri demanded of the branch member Hyūga. Neji gritted his teeth, one step forward and two steps back, fate was a worthy opponent the Hyūga thought as he bowed to Toneri Ōtsutsuki who pulled that egotistical smirk once more.
"Your first task is to eliminate Naruto Uzumaki." Neji felt fear embrace him at the thought of going anywhere close to the villain he saw today. There is no Naruto Uzumaki, did this imbecile not know that? There was only death in the form of a blonde menace.
Authors Notes
Mmmh Neji-Kun what have you done, and what are the consequences to follow. Naruto reached two tails of the Kyuubi's Chakra, there are 9 tails, each one multiplies his anger by the amount accessed.
It seems the first and second tail heightens his brutality in combat while augmenting his attributes like speed, strength and versatility in the way he performs his jutsu's.
Why did the leaf react that way when Naruto accessed the Kyuubi's Chakra, why did the civilian population only receive Nightmares and what would have happen if Naruto accessed more then 5 tails, would there be long lasting effects and how exactly will the leaf village explain this to their citizens.
