Me: You all ready for Sonic and Amy's wedding!?

...

"It's like a dream come true." Amy gushed, and twirled in the dress Cream and Vanilla had made for her. Today was exactly like she'd envisioned it for so many years; the white dress, matching rings, and handsome blue hedgehog groom.

"You look so pretty, Amy." Cream said, on the verge of tears.

"Oh Cream." The hedgehog knelt in front of her friend. "Please don't cry, today is a happy day."

"I know." The rabbit said, wiping at her eyes. "These are happy tears. I'm so happy for you and Sonic."

"I'm happy to." The bride said, hugging her bridesmaid.

A knock on the door interrupted the two, and Amy stood so she could answer it. "Oh. Hello Sonia."

Sonic's sister was standing in the doorway in a light blue gown, holding a small box. She glanced down at the other hedgehog's dress. "I should've had Vanilla make my dress."

Amy rolled her eyes, but let her to-be sister-in-law in anyway. "So, what brings you to the bride's room? Some last minute wedding advice? Or are you here to admire my accessories?" She flaunted the necklace and earrings she'd received for her birthday.

Sonia stifled a laugh, "No, I'm here to deliver this." She held out the box, "It's a tradition in my family."

"My own medallion?"

"As close as you're gonna get." She nodded; and opened the small chest, revealing a glittering mini microphone. "Don't worry, I checked it for sleeping tacks and other pranks."

Amy reached in and took it in her hands, "It's so pretty, I wish I could use it."

"At least you'll get to see one of your children use it, someday"

"Yeah," She laughed. "I wish Sonic were here to hear that statement, he'd freak out."

Sonia laughed to, "That sounds like my brother, he hates responsibility of any kind."

"How do you think Sonic's doing right now?" Cream added.

"Probably wishing he had more time to prepare." Amy responded, knowingly.

...

It was Sonic's turn to fidget in front of the mirror, and Knuckles found it very entertaining. The hedgehog kept taking his tie off and replacing it with a different one.

"I wish I had more time to prepare." He muttered as he trading a purple tie for a red one.

"Sonic; just choose a tie, and stop psyching yourself out. It'll be fine."

"I can't help it." The Blue Blur threw the rest of the ties in a pile, and sifted through them. "It's Amy, I want everything to be perfect for her. Should I use the gold tie?" He held it up.

Knuckles facepalmed, "You're getting married, not going to a fancy party. You don't need to wear a tie that's inlaid with gold thread."

"So, no. How about the green one?"

The echidna sighed, "Sure, just go with that."

The hedgehog put it on and looked at himself in the mirror. "Not the greatest, but it brings out my eyes."

There was a pounding on the door, and Knuckles went to answer it. "Hello, welcome to Sonic's groom room panic; how may I...Wait! What are you doing here?"

"Who is it, Eggman?" Sonic asked, turning. He gaped at his rival; who was standing at the door, arms folded. "Shadow?! What are you doing here? I didn't think you like me enough to come to my wedding."

The ebony hedgehog frowned, "Let's get one thing straight, faker, I'm not here for your stupid wedding. I traced a chaos emerald to this location, and I'm here to get it; nothing more."

Sonic smirked, "Right."

"Do you know where it is, or not?!"

The Blue Blur rubbed his quills in thought. "Uh, no, can't say I have. If I see it, you'll be the first to...huh?" He reached farther into his quills, and pulled out the purple chaos emerald. "Oh, I forgot I had this. Found it a couple weeks before Amy's birthday; must've lost track of it with all the stress I was going through at the time."

Shadow raised his eyebrow, "You've had that in your quills all this time?"

Sonic grinned sheepishly, "Um, yeah?"

"Even when you slept?" Knuckles asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, I guess so." Sonic strode over to his rival, and dropped the emerald in his palm. "There you go, Shads. Enjoy causing more chaos than you already do." He shut the door before Shadow could respond, and leaned against it. "Well, that was unexpected. Do you think Rouge dragged him to my wedding; no way he went through the trouble of obtaining that emerald, what with the festivities today."

"Speaking of, shouldn't we be heading over to the chapel right now?" Knuckles reminded him.

"Oh, yeah! Race you there!"

...

The race helped calm Sonic's nerves for a while; the wind in his face, his legs pumping, free from responsibility...until he stopped at the end of the aisle. Now, everything caught up to him, and he could barely stand still from all the anxiety inside him. Amy could walk through those doors any moment, and the hedgehog did not feel ready for that moment in the slightest.

The moment came about 5 minutes after Sonic had entered the chapel. He suddenly found it hard to breath when he saw Amy start towards him as the wedding march played. She was glowing like an angel, and looked like one as well. With the white dress, glittering jewels, and smile filled with overwhelming joy.

"You look amazing." He whispered to her when she stood beside him.

"Thank you." She whispered back, "You look nice, to. I like the tie, brings out your eyes."

The preacher (thankfully not Vector) started his speech, and Sonic barely heard a word of it...again.

It wasn't just him this time, many people in the congregation had already heard the same phrases; and weren't paying attention. Speeches get really boring when you've heard them a million times. There was something in there about eternal happiness, and what rings symbolized; then finally...

"Do you, Prince Sonic the Hedgehog, take Amy Rose to be you lawfully wedded wife? In sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I..." The hedgehog squeaked. He cleared his throat and tried again. "I do."

"And do you..."

"Don't bother finishing, I know the drill." Amy told him. "I do."

"Oh. Uh...Well then. I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Amy reached over and pulled Sonic into the kiss, and everything else melted away for a moment.

...

"...And then I told him, 'WHAT IN THE NAME OF CHAOS MAN! YOU CAN'T MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT ME IF I LOOK LIKE THAT!"

Manic howled with laughter, and sat down hard on the ground. "I...can't believe...they made...the animation...that ugly!"

Sonic laughed along with his brother, "Right? At least all my fans backed me up, and we got the problem fixed."

"Whatcha talking about, Sonniku?" Amy asked, coming over.

"That movie starring me, that came out today."

"Oh, yeah! I forgot that was today. Did people like it, or is it too early to tell?"

The blue hedgehog shrugged, "It seemed to go well, which Tails is really excited about. If the movie does well, he gets to debut in the sequel."

"I'm sure it'll do great dear."

"Hey Amy!" A voice called from behind the newly weds. They turned and found Rouge gliding toward them, a disgruntled Shadow in tow. The girls embraced, "Congratulations, Amy."

"Ha! So Rouge did drag you here!" Sonic said triumphantly to Shadow, who growled.

"She had to; I wouldn't willingly go to your wedding, even with the threat of 50 more years in stasis!"

"That doesn't change the fact that you're here."

The ebony hedgehog smirked, "You know, Sonic. You never told me you were a prince."

"So what?" The Blue Blur asked.

"So, you're stuck ruling a kingdom, faker. Good luck with the responsibility."

"Will you two knock it off!" Rouge and Amy said at the same time.

"All right." Sonic relented with a sigh.

Shadow just turned and walked away.

"I better keep an eye on him." Rouge said. "I'll see you newly weds around." She flew off in the direction Shadow went.

Manic stood up, "You think I could pay Shadow to annoy you for me?"

"Don't. Even. Think about it." Sonic warned his brother, who held up his hands.

"Whoa! Just an idea, bro."

"Well here's an idea, take your drums up to that stage and wack out a beat; I could use some music right about now."

"Great idea!" Amy agreed. "We could all go up there and make music together."

"Well come on then, race you to the stage!" Sonic took off.

"Hey! No fair, bro!" Manic shouted, trying to catch up.

When the triplets and Amy had arrived at the stage, and Amy had found a spare microphone in the back; Sonic shouted at the crowd: "Yo! Creatures of Earth! Who wants to hear the Sonic Underground!"

A cheer rose up as the band started playing, and Sonic and Amy started singing together.

It was official, Sonic is the happiest creature in the multiverse.

...

Me: I came up with the perfect song for them to sing! 'Life is a Road' from Anastasia!

Sonic: Ooo, I love that song! Good choice.

Me: Thanks.
