At the bottom of the ocean, the crown prince of the sea tribes and a princess...

Jiaoren is...

Chapter 3 – Conversations

After speaking, the young woman questioned herself if he understood human language and while thinking about how to make the demon in front of her understand her words, he surprised her with a deep baritone, "Okay. It's the first time I've seen a human up close too."

The merman sees the human being surprised and confesses that her actions seemed cute.

Furthermore, the girl had a delicate appearance, but he felt that she had power and as he remembered when he picked her up, the merman noticed that the girl had a occult pulse, which made him alarmed when he remembered his parent's warnings about the danger of demonic masters.

The jiaoren confessed that as he took her away from the surface in order to escape the fury of the ocean, and then took her back to land after the storm caused by magic ceased, he felt afraid until he remembered that he was in the ocean and that his power was magnified, making him more powerful.

So, with this comforting thought, Chang Yi calmed down as he realized that there was no way she could be a threat.

Furthermore, if she tried anything against him or her people, just canceling the magic he cast on her would make her breathe and speak underwater, as well as help her deal with the water pressure.

After all, as powerful as a demon master was, he was still human and had human weaknesses. The young woman would simply drown, even more so far from the surface.

Then, the crown prince remembers the human's temperature when he embraced her to pull her down to the depths to save her from the stormy surface. She was hot in contrast to him who had a cool temperature, making his eyes widen again because he didn't know humans were hot compared to her kind.

He snapped out of his thoughts at her coy question that contained a respectful tone, "How am I breathing underwater? Sir used magic, right?"

After recovering from the human's sincere attitudes up to that moment by what he could detect and which were different from what the prince expected considering what he had been taught about that race, the merman replies, "Yes. When I touched your face I conferred this ability through of my magic. You won't drown and you won't feel the pressure around you."

The jiaoren notices that the young woman blushes again while touching the side of her face that he touched at the same time that his sharp hearing again heard her accelerated heartbeat that made him arch his brow because only in one situation did the merman hear that and it was when having casual relationships.

After all, they had freedom in casual relationships that were common, but their species could only impregnate those who were predestined after confirming the bond between them through the customs of their species because there could only be one mate for life and in case of death , the jiaoren would be a widower forever.

The marriage between them consisted of marking each other on the ear as a symbol of their eternal commitment, with both being able to see each other wherever they are while being watched by the God of the abyss. Only after this mark was it possible for children to appear. The problem was the low birth rate because conception was rare.

Therefore, despite being the most powerful among the demons, their population did not grow very much.

Then he snaps out of his thoughts with the young woman's gentle voice, "Thank you so much for saving me and for singing to me. It's like the legends say. Your voices have magical properties. The sir used magic while singing, right?"

The princess asks as she felt uncomfortable calling him sir.

Of course, she called him out of respect and gratitude, but, for some reason, it seemed too out of line with what he was and when her traitorous eyes once again observe the chest carved with muscles, going down to the defined abdomen, the young woman is immersed in contemplation and couldn't help but comment, "The sir is in great physical shape. He's quite strong. Are all merman like this?"

"Yes. It's just hard work. Our tails are muscular too."

The young woman couldn't help but smile upon hearing the honest and serious answer.

Upon realizing how disrespectful she was being, the princess looked away while scolding herself, her blush returning in full force, making her curse herself at the same time as she tried to come up with an excuse for her despicable behavior.

The only excuse that came up was that he was beautiful and magnificent, both in the body and with the tail, in addition to the face that was beautiful although that word does not do justice to the transcendental beauty of the merman while his physique was imposing and when looking at the powerful and beautiful tail, I tried to imagine how the jiaoren had carnal relations.

Then, realizing where her inappropriate and equally disrespectful as well as indecent thoughts were going, she closes her eyes tightly and curses her mind for daring to think inappropriate thoughts while trying to suppress the intense blush in her cheeks.

Chang Yi looked with amusement and curiosity in his eyes at the reactions of the human who was famously cute, with such reactions fascinating him. He didn't know that humans could be fascinating and that a demon master could have such reactions.

At the same time, the prince had a feeling that he knew her from somewhere, oblivious to the fact that it was the same for the human in front of her.

"Yes. I used magic because I saw your altered state. I wanted to calm you down."

She raises her eyes and looks shyly at the prince, clearing her throat a little to regain her composure as she avoids thinking about the unattainable beauty in front of her while she strenuously reins in any indecent thoughts.

"Thank you so much. You jiaoren are amazing. I have a curiosity. Is it true that your tears turn into beautiful silver pearls?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't want to give away too much information about my kind, let alone a demon master. I could feel your occult pulse," He says after reflecting for a few minutes.

She gets upset and then, head down as she speaks, "I'll understand if you're feeling angry or hating me. You demons hate Demon Masters and vice versa. I understand and think it's fair. Demon Masters are wicked and cruel. Even although in the beginning he is not cruel, with time he ends up appreciating his power over demons, starting to kill and enslave indiscriminately because they use the pathetic excuse that demons will attack whenever they have an opportunity, in addition to deceiving and plotting against humans and for this, it is necessary to attack, contain or enslave them before they can harm us, thus justifying the acts even against those who did nothing or who helped humans. From protectors of humans against cruel demons, they became wicked and cruel against any demon, not making any distinction between good or bad, in addition to moving away from other humans, starting to think about glory and power. In the end, they ended up subjugated and dominated to faith budget for the demon Grandmaster who serves the capital's royal family. Now, all they have left is the ridiculous and surreal pride they use with pitiful pomp while they were transformed into paltry slaves of the royal family. I think it's well deserved karma."

He is surprised when he hears about what was happening on the surface and with her words because the young woman showed displeasure when quoting the demonic Masters, even though she was one of them. The Crown Prince confessed that he would never have expected something like this.

"Since I know you're not a threat to me while I'm in the ocean, I'm not worried. Besides, you depend on my magic to survive. As for what you said, I'm surprised."

She looks closely at him, noting the sincerity in his words. It was simple sincerity and citing a true fact. The jiaoren was strangely sincere and objective in her words, making her question if it was common to his kind as she smiled.

"I'm also surprised I was saved. I didn't expect to find a good demon like you in the vastness of this ocean." The young woman spoke trying to hide that she was a princess while questioning whether he had not realized her royal ancestry by the clothes she was wearing.

When she thinks about her family, she is overcome by a feeling of sadness because she remembers what her family environment was like.

"Why are you sad?" The jiaoren asks when he notices her sadness.

In that, she feels his cold finger on her face, collecting a tear from her, making her blush.

"It's just a fleeting sad memory," She replies as the prince couldn't detect the lie because it was, in fact, fleeting memories, "But, getting off topic, what about demons talk about, I think it's unfair."

She decides not to tell because she thinks it was an intimate matter and also so as not to arouse the merman's pity.

Chang Yi shows surprise at what the young woman said.

"Why? After all, you're a human, in addition to being a master of demons."

"There are cruel humans, good ones and those who are indifferent, just like demons. Why do demons need to be hunted, killed and enslaved for this, if there are those who are good or who don't care? Why do they need to suffer like this? when there are evil humans who do cruel acts and go unpunished? I think it is much more reprehensible for a human to do something bad against another of their race than for a monster to do something bad with a human. After all, they are different races. In terms of human death in quantity, there are serial killers who kill several people and many go unpunished. Humans kill, steal, rape and destroy living beings and can destroy a city. Why only demons have to be hunted? And why hunt indiscriminately no matter if it is good or bad? Both receive the same treatment while the Masters of demons and many humans are proud of passing the false image of being virtuous and being above demons. It is a lot of arrogance and injustice. Quant o monsters attacking us, considering what we do to them, are just defending themselves. At least, most of the time. That's what I believe and you are the proof of my words. You are a demon and you saved my life. I will be forever grateful for his act."

He is dumbfounded, assimilating what she said emphatically and with determination in his eyes, demonstrating his sincerity and after a few minutes, he says, "I realized that you haven't lied until now, even though you are a human. While your race practices the lie, we jiaoren never lie."

The princess is surprised by the sincerity visible in the merman's beautiful eyes and face that showed strong determination, causing her to be fascinated.

"Don't you guys ever lie? Even if it's just an innocent lie to help someone else?"

Keeping the same firm expression and without flinching, he says, "There are no innocent lies and neither are those about alluding to being done in good faith or to help someone. These are just pathetic excuses to deceive yourself in order to justify the act despicable to lie."

She confessed that she was more and more surprised with the demon in front of her and questioned if it was part of his race to have such thoughts, as well as a strong aversion to the act of lying.

"Well, looking at it from this angle...," She was thoughtful for a few seconds, "It's just that we humans don't see it that way. But, you have your point."

"It is known that humans lie and deceive. That is why they are not to be trusted," He spoke as he remembered what he had been taught.

"Well, we don't lie all the time. At least most of us do, I think. As for lying, we use a variety of justifications for doing so. We don't see it as a bad thing as long as the intention was good. Know that I don't blame you for having such a thing. look and conception about us because no matter how good the intention that led someone to lie, it is still a decoy in the end."

"I must say, I'm surprised you haven't lied to me since I brought you to the bottom of the ocean. I expected to hear a lot of lies from your mouth."

Suppressing the fact that she had concealed that she was from the royal family and therefore didn't count as a lie, she cleared her throat and asked, "What's your...?"

However, she doesn't have time to finish her question because she is cut off by the sight of an older jiaoren who has the purest fury in his eyes as he holds an imposing golden cedar with a blue jewel studded in the center of the cedar's tip. The anger in her eyes was visible while out of the corner of her eyes, she observes that the youngest had flinched slightly while looking closely at the one who had arrived and who displayed a frighteningly angry countenance.

As the young woman looked at both of them, she noticed that there were traces of the newcomer in her savior's face, making her wonder if he was his father at the same time that she was surprised that she was able to reason while being framed by the angry eyes of the eldest.

"How dare you bring a human here? What did I say about this race? What do you have in mind? Why did you give her magic to breathe and survive the pressure of the sea?"

As she looked at her, the king masked her surprise at finding her strangely familiar with another person he had seen decades ago.

Of course the king had pushed that thought to the sidelines upon seeing the situation in front of him.

After all, he needed to protect his son.

"Father me..."

"It's time to correct the error!," The sovereign of the ocean tribes raises his hand towards her and the young woman feels that she can't breathe anymore as the king raises his staff and points at her, exclaiming furiously at the same time in which concentrated magic power into the object, "Disappear!"
