The monk discovers...
He stays...
Chapter 15 – Qi Master
While he didn't detect any demonic control over them, the monk discovered how they both survived.
Both father and son had protective spiritual amulets that blocked any attempt at demonic control while preventing them from being hit by demonic toxins while Li Cang didn't understand how ordinary humans had access to these items.
The monk leaves his thoughts and turns towards the dwelling while feeling sad because the previous hypothesis was starting to gain strength after his later one proved to be erroneous, making him regret that his first assumption was apparently the correct one.
Sighing, he walked to the place at the same time that he felt the presence of the demon getting stronger and stronger, and then he was surprised to feel another demonic presence, but which was much weaker than the other and which was only possible feel it when you approached the place.
After all, the greater power overshadowed the lesser power at long range.
When carefully entering the building while keeping his power on alert after conjuring a qi shield, he sees in a corner of the spacious room a kind of cage that contained fudas and objects with spiritual power whose function was to seal demons in places specific. In this case, in a cage and approaching, he is appalled to see that it was a child, with him detecting that it was the source of the weak demonic power he felt.
Furthermore, as he watched it was possible to see a small serpentine tail and that the irises in his heterochromatic eyes were narrow while the clothes looked shabby.
When the boy noticed the monk's presence, he cowered against the other side of the bars while showing the purest fear in his eyes and when he looked more closely at the little one, he was disgusted to see marks of burns and cuts that despite that they were healing were still visible, with him noticing that the contours were coming from slings used against the puerile skin whose little body trembled as it cried in a silent cry, without making a sound.
Li Cang smiles gently and speaks in a gentle voice so as not to increase the boy's fear, "Don't worry. I won't hurt you. What's your name?"
"Tong Lei" He speaks between sobs and with a boyish voice choking, and then he says, "I want my mommy."
"Where's your mommy?"
The child points in one direction and the monk gets up, following the direction pointed by the child, with him going up the stairs and upon reaching the second floor, he sees a door at the end of the corridor and as he approaches it, ignoring the other doors, he feels the demonic power getting stronger and as he goes forward, he hears the alarming sound of chains.
Realizing that he couldn't open it while confirming that his shield was still active, he uses his powers to destroy the doorknob and when he opens it, he is appalled at the room that contained fudas and seals, stops in then be shocked by what he saw huddled in a corner.
There was a half-naked demon chained by black chains around her ankles that suppressed most of her powers while being visibly soiled with a white substance, and upon seeing him, she cowered even more while muttering in supplication, "Do what you can." you want with me, but please spare my baby. I'll do anything you say. Please don't hurt my baby." She begs with a choked voice, prostrating herself to the monk who observes the messy house, making him have a good idea of what was happening, with such a thought disgusting him.
Cang approaches and helps the woman to her feet, with the demon feeling his spiritual power that makes her cringe while looking with confusion at the man who feels the tremor in her, knowing that the black currents suppressed much of the your power.
"I am a monk and I confess that I expected otherwise. It was the pain and suffering that made you release your demonic power, right?"
"Yes. They punished me for it, but I can't control it."
"It's also a form of communication, right? I can feel a certain pattern in the emanation like a message spoken over and over again. Even though the poison was concentrating in the water, you weren't aiming for the river because you were propagating what little emanation of power you could release as a cry for help."
The female demon is stunned and afraid until the monk uses his qi to break the chain at the same time as completely destroying it, preventing its use again upon her astonished face as he spoke, "I will save you and the your son. What they did to you is abominable, not to say despicable. Furthermore, you are not an evil demon because even if you impregnated the water by accident, you were dosing the emanation to not be so strong. If you didn't control the amount would end up killing everyone along the river. At most, it caused discomfort, but nothing that immediately threatened the lives of people and as for the animals, they were closer to the source of emanation than the village, in addition to being more vulnerable than the villagers. The problem with controlling the emanation is that your call for help is taking longer than it should, right?"
She consented, realizing that there was no point in hiding anything, other than the fact that he clearly showed his anger at what they had done to her and her child while at the same time that his desire to help was sincere, with the woman knowing that the monks, contrary to demon masters who captured and killed demons indiscriminately as soon as they saw them, they sought a peaceful solution and only used their purifying power as a last resort and only on notoriously perverse demons.
"Come on. I'm going to free your pup. You guys should run away because they were talking about calling demon masters and as you know, they'll kill you and your offspring if you're lucky because they can capture them to tame you both. " He says the end in disgust because he read the accounts of how they tamed.
To call the process cruel and despicable was an understatement. The methods surpassed perversity with the aggravation of using them indiscriminately or killing regardless of whether the demon was good or evil. There was no judgment or discernment in treating everyone as equal and subject to atrocious and equally perverse torture.
She consented, still showing fear in her eyes, and then, controlling the tremor that affected her at the same time that she used her powers to clean herself and return to her original clothes.
When they arrive in the small cage, the child shows a weak smile when he sees his mother, and then gets scared when he sees the same man as before, despite him showing a kind smile.
Promptly, Cang destroys all seals and seals, then opens the cage door.
Then, the mother calls the child who runs into her arms, with her hugging him and showering him with kisses to comfort the little one who was crying with happiness while holding tightly to his mother with his little hands for fear of being taken away from her again and after comforting her son, the woman lifts her face and displays a grateful countenance, then saying, "Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Thank you so much."
"I'm happy to help you. You and your son were victims of evil and cruel men. They were also responsible for the death of people who approached this place, right?"
"Yes."
"I imagine they captured your son and then used him to subdue you."
"Yes. My son inadvertently strayed from my side and ended up finding these two cruel men and when they saw me approaching, they locked him in this cage and used some fudas and seals, as well as some black chain that they had kept and that got it from a demon master who'd been to the place a few years ago, by all accounts."
"So that's how they got these items..."
Suddenly, the house shakes and the woman sniffs the air, saying in a mixture of relief and happiness, "My mate found us."
The monk senses the demonic power and rage that was pouring through him. It was obvious that her mate was furious and rightly so if her message alerted him to what was going on.
After all, in addition to being driven by protection and the desire to care for his mate and offspring, demons, both male and female, could be possessive of their mates from what he studied. Certainly, the fact that her companion was abused and raped must have provoked unprecedented fury along with the mistreatment of their offspring.
In fact, on his way out, he notices that there were two contours in the stomach of the huge serpent, with him believing that they were father and son who were devoured by the large, slender serpent that must have measured at least thirty-five meters in height while displaying prominent fangs and unprecedented fury in his blood-red eyes as the monk was amazed that the demon managed to devour both of them despite the protective seals, thus demonstrating that he possessed great demonic power that effectively suppressed the items, allowing him to devour them.
Then, when the enraged demon prepared to charge at the monk who strengthened his shield only to reflect the attack back while not wanting to kill him, the demon beside him transforms into his true form which was half his size and stands protectively in front of the monk.
Her act caused her companion's attack to cease as confusion was visible in her eyes, as she began to hiss something at him in their language.
The countenance went from confusion to surprise, then the serpent nodded and looked at the monk, gratitude in its eyes as it bowed slightly.
Then, there is a purple glow and then the huge serpent's body retreats into that of a perfect humanoid form.
Even if he hadn't seen its true form or been unable to sense its demonic power, the demon in front of him could easily pass for a human because there was no trait on his body that gave away his race, as well as the her companion. Only their son displayed some characteristics of his true form, with the monk believing that it was due to the fact that he was still a child.
He walks over and hugs his mate who has returned to human form, then kneels down to hug his offspring, with the qi master stepping closer as he speaks, "I am happy to gather a family, again."
The demon stands up and speaks, bowing slightly, before saying, "Thank you very much. My beloved told me what you did. You are a monk, right?"
"Yes."
"You always demonstrate how different you are from the demon master bastards. They are ruthless, ruthless and cruel. They kill and enslave demons regardless of guilt or innocence. They are not standards like you."
"Buddha is in everything and everything is Buddha. Including, we cannot indiscriminately kill a demon and if we are forced, we must do it as soon as possible. Even so, purification must be used as a last resort. Dialogue and a serene judgment of the situation are always preferable."
"It is a pity that you are hunted as we are."
"We learned how to deal with the hunt. Besides, I'm a qi master. They can't arrest me even if they want to."
"I always thought it was a myth."
"It is not."
"That explains the strange flowers I saw. I've never seen such flowers in this location, besides they don't belong on trees."
"These are flowers created by me from the agglomeration of some species to generate and amplify their sleeping power."
"I see. I devoured them both after destroying the seals they had for what they did to my beloved and childe."
"Well, that already happened and they weren't innocent. By the way, I want to put on record that none of the villagers knew what was happening here. Even those who came to investigate were killed by them. The village is innocent. Don't attack the villagers and stay safe leave as soon as possible with your family because I don't know if they had time to request the dispatch of a demon master to this location. As a precaution, you'd better leave as soon as possible."
After warning them of the danger, a mixture of anger and fear was visible on the serpent father's face at the mention of the demon masters, with this fear being shared by his companion who instinctively hugs him tighter, unconsciously seeking comfort and protection while hugging with his other arm was the offspring of both of them who did not share the fear of the parents for not knowing the cruelty and perversity of the overwhelming majority of demon masters.
"Thanks a lot for letting us know. We'll be leaving as soon as possible."
"I explained to my companion that you helped us and that the village didn't know what was going on."
"Thank you. It's best you leave as soon as possible."
They consent and still in human form, the trio glows slightly, becoming purplish spheres that depart quickly from there like a flash, with the monk feeling that they were already far away and that they moved with immense speed.
Sighing, he uses his powers and makes the flowers change appearance, with him picking them, and then making the branches return to normal, then kneeling on the ground and using his powers again, making some leaves appear that resembled the grass.
The monk picks them up and keeps them in a piece of cloth, and then the plant disappears from the ground.
After making sure he had the main ingredients, Cang stands and concentrates, using his powers in the river, soil and air to spread a massive purification throughout the affected area, thus purifying the toxins and after finishing to nullify the poison, the qi master moves away from the spot towards the village while following the course of the now crystal clear river.
As he returns to the village, the villagers flock to him and a cacophony of questions ensues until the monk raises his hands and everyone is automatically silenced.
"It was a poisonous demon. I analyzed the poison and I have a way to produce a cure. I will need some items for preparation. I also purified the place and now, you will no longer suffer from the toxins" He preferred to omit what happened because monks don't lie and he didn't want the village to send demon masters after them in revenge if they got enough money to pay one or more of them.
"How did you manage to kill him?"
"Are you a demon master?"
"Who are you?"
"How did a human get that?"
"What are you?"
"Was the demon really eliminated?"
"Is the river safe?"
"How did you get back?"
"It's impossible for an ordinary human to be able to kill a demon. How did you achieve this feat?"
"What did the demon look like?"
He raises his hand and the questions cease again, with the monk answering patiently because he knew he would face a lot of questions once he arrived in the village, "I said I have spiritual powers." He wasn't lying because he was referring to the purification of the place while letting the villagers believe what they themselves said, "The important thing is that you are safe now, besides the fact that I will prepare the treatment to treat those who were affected. I I would appreciate it if you could help me with some objects and ingredients that I need. Luckily, I have herbs and flowers capable of nullifying toxins."
The cacophony threatens to reign supreme again until Cang interrupts by asking, "Do you want me to save people affected by the toxin?"
"Yes."
"I already answered the questions and I need to say that it is necessary to administer the medicine as soon as possible.'
They consent and the monk says what is necessary, with the villagers getting ready to prepare the place and after they finish, the qi master approaches a wooden table and cuts the flowers and leaves he brought with him, to later dip them them in a large pot of water that was held in the air by a support while the fire was burning the woods under the huge round pot.
He also takes the contents of a small bottle and turns it over, then keeps it inside his clothes while he starts to stir the contents and, after being ready, separates them into portions that are delivered to those suffering from the effects of the toxin, with them being cured afterwards to sip the contents of the pots.
The quick recovery left them all astonished and when they returned to the place where the monk was, he had already left.
Cang did this because he read about reports of villagers wanting to keep the monk who healed them in the village, causing the qi master to be forced to use his powers.
Therefore, just in case, he decided to withdraw from the site.
After taking a considerable distance from the village, he concentrates his powers after picking up a seed, making it shine until a golden and majestic buzzard-winged eagle appears, as well as ephemeral, which perches elegantly on his arm while waiting for the orders of the its creator.
