You'll want to look up these tunes on Youtube afterward. Sorry, but I can't link them here.
Some of the lyrics will have parentheses around them. It should be fairly clear how they work once you listen to the tunes.
Enjoy.
Chapter 93 – Blood of the Eagle and Lion Pt 3 (Great Tree Moon)
The fighting on the western side of Gronder Field had finally turned into a frantic melee. The Church Army, unable to keep the numerically superior Imperials at bay with arrows and spells, had no choice but to face their opponents from the Imperial 8th Army group in close quarters. And, just as Byleth had feared, casualties were quickly beginning to mount.
The Archbishop shouted as she whirled around and lashed the Sword of the Creator through five Imperials, slaying all five in an instant. She then whirled around as another tried to attack her from behind, bashing him with the Shield of Seiros before slashing through his neck. Byleth then spun around, delivering a kick to another Imperial and allowing Felix to run the enemy soldier through from behind.
At that moment, Byleth heard the crackling of dark sorcery and turned to the sound. Through the mist, Byleth could make out the lean frame of Hubert von Vestra as he and his mages unleashed their combined spell, sending waves of dark magic sweeping through the Church's ranks. Church and Imperial troops were struck by the spell, and where there had once been brave soldiers, Byleth saw panic overtake her forces.
At the front, the usually boisterous Caspar let out several yelps of terror, as though the Imperials before him were from his worst nightmares. Similarly, Alois let out the kind of shriek Byleth knew he would only make if he thought he had seen a ghost.
Byleth realized what the spell was now: it was meant to drive fear itself into the hearts of her forces.
She had to act fast; fear was far deadlier in battle than any blade.
Knowing the Divine Pulse would not let her stop Hubert from finishing his spell, Byleth spun around and shouted, "Dorothea, sing! Now!"
Far behind the front line, Dorothea saw what was happening to the others and, hearing Byleth's voice, readied herself to use a Hymn. Beside her, Cia and Lana gave each other a brief nod before beginning to channel Mana to the brunette.
As Byleth spun around to face the enemy once more, the sound of Dorothea's voice rang out in song over the din of battle.
umiya tasori iya, arimi setori kora iya
amosta maseme rita, inoli taya istoriya
adala isori iya, mariyi mado isora iya
amosta maseme rita, inoli taya istoriya
The Hymn known as Valor's Verse could be heard across Gronder Field as Dorothea's magic instilled the Church's warriors with courage, dispelling the terror that Hubert's magic had inflicted. Infused with this courage, Caspar stopped recoiling in horror and, regaining his nerve, roared as he buried his axe in another Imperial's body. Similarly, Alois's bravery returned as he blocked a strike from an Imperial sword and countered by punching the Imperial soldier in the head. Dorothea could even hear Bernadetta let out a courageous cry as she fired three arrows at once, striking three Imperials down.
amosta maseme rita, inoli taya istoriya
All around her, Dorothea could hear the battle cries of her comrades as they began to carve through the 8th Army group, emboldened by her song.
She continued to sing.
umiya tasori iya, arimi setori kora iya
amosta maseme rita, inoli taya istoriya
Byleth let out a shout as she rushed a dozen Imperial soldiers, half of which were archers trying to reload their crossbows. The Archbishop had also been emboldened by Dorothea's Hymn, making it hard for her not to make a foolhardy charge right at Hubert. Valor's Verse was certainly living up to its name, yet Byleth knew it could be too much of a good thing if they weren't careful.
adala isori iya, mariyi mado isora iya
amosta maseme rita, inoli taya istoriya
Three of the Imperials that Byleth was charging readied their blades, yet within the span of a second, Byleth had slashed through all three of them. Now panicking, seven of the remaining Imperials began to run away from her, but Byleth leapt up, kicking another Imperial in the head as she sprung off him.
Byleth's eyes glowed green as she shouted, "Owari da!"
The Sword of the Creator lashed through all seven fleeing Imperials before Byleth landed. She retracted the sword as she spun around and sent a quick bolt of fire from her fingertips into another Imperial. The bolt wasn't enough to engulf him completely, but it set his leather pauldron ablaze. The Imperial, panicking at being set on fire, was swiftly cut down by the Archbishop as the glow in her eyes receded.

Then, sensing danger, Byleth spun around just in time to see Hubert's Dark Spikes T spell about to rain down upon her. She swung the Sword of the Creator at the dark magic lances, destroying them all before they could strike.
Dorothea's Hymn ended as Byleth glared at Hubert, who was surprised at how Byleth had defeated his spell. Yet Hubert remained out of Byleth's reach as the Archbishop realized just how far ahead of the others she had gotten herself.
"Destroy her!" Hubert shouted as he swung his hand at Byleth.
Several Imperials rushed toward Byleth from all angles at Hubert's command.
Before they could reach her, Byleth was surrounded by blue light before disappearing.
Hubert scowled, recognizing the telltale signs of a Rescue spell. He peered through the fog to see Byleth rematerializing next to Flayn, who had been aided by Linhardt and Lysithea.
The majordomo turned back to the battle and was dismayed to see the 8th Army was being annihilated, despite their numerical advantage over the Knights of Seiros. Familiar faces such as Leonie, Felix, Catherine, and Caspar, led the Church's forces in crushing battalion after battalion. All but one of the Demonic Beasts Hubert had been given had been slain, and the Church's soldiers were now on the verge of reaching him.
Snarling, Hubert shouted, "Fall back! Fall back and regroup!"
At his command, the Imperial 8th Army turned and fled, trying desperately to reach safety on the south end of Gronder Field. As he turned to retreat, Hubert caught glimpse of a familiar brunette in the Church's rear line.
Hubert glared for a moment at Dorothea before he ran off, knowing her presence was perhaps the greatest danger to Edelgard in this battle.
…
Edelgard watched the retreat of Hubert's army in astonishment. Despite having the Church outnumbered almost three-to-one, the 8th Army had been decimated, with no less than 5,000 casualties. Meanwhile, the Church looked to have had only taken around 800 casualties, with far fewer fatalities.
Yet it wasn't just the sight of her soldiers fleeing for their lives that had Edelgard stunned. It was the voice she had heard coming from the Church's position.
She knew it could only be one person.
"My, my, how interesting," Cornelia said as she walked up beside Edelgard. "I'd heard someone in the Church knew how to use Hymnos."
"That was Dorothea's voice…" Edelgard said almost happily.
"Dorothea? Your friend from the opera?"
Realizing the question Cornelia was asking her, Edelgard recomposed herself and said, "We're not friends anymore. Not since this war started."
"I see. Did you know she could use such powerful magic?"
"No, of course not. She never had this kind of power five years ago."
Cornelia smiled and said, "I must admit, she's quite talented. Talented… but clearly inexperienced."
Edelgard ignored Cornelia as she looked out at Gronder Field. Byleth was reorganizing the Church to push forward on the west side while the bulk of the Imperial Army was still engaging the Loyalists, with both factions taking heavy losses. On the central hill, Edelgard could see the Alliance had finished setting up their siege weaponry. Onagers and Ballistae were now lobbing projectiles at her army as they tried to hold their positions near the hill, waiting for the order to launch their counterattack.
The Emperor was about to ask Cornelia when she was going to act when she heard the Duchess readying her magic. A large ritual circle began to form under Cornelia's feet as several of her own mages arrayed themselves around her. Edelgard could tell these mages were more of the Agarthans, yet they acted as if they only knew servitude to Cornelia.
Cornelia then said, "Edelgard, stand back for a moment, would you please?"
Edelgard stepped back from Cornelia as she asked, "Cornelia, what are you–"
Edelgard stopped mid-sentence as Cornelia smiled.
Cornelia then said, "Let me show you what a Hymn can really do."
The Duchess's body began to surge with Mana as her supplicants began channeling their power to her. Edelgard was astonished that Cornelia could channel so much; the amount being given to her would've overwhelmed any other mage she knew.
The crystalline heart within Cornelia's chest began to shimmer, releasing a crimson glow.
Cornelia began to sing.
Igni, cinis
Ex ira surget
Vedis, calor
In scaena salto
As Cornelia sang, flames began to swirl around her in a violent typhoon, yet they did not burn the Duchess nor her followers.
Then, to Edelgard's surprise, some of Cornelia's supplicants began to add their voices to the sorceress's Hymn, singing along with their master.
Venu
Resurgito
Alluceto
In dolore
Illusio
The flames began to surge forth, sending a barrage of fire soaring toward the Church's Army, which was still chasing after the 8th Army.
…
Byleth was surprised to hear someone singing.
To her dismay, it wasn't Dorothea.
Looking toward the sound, Byleth went wide-eyed as she saw the huge barrage of flames heading toward her army from where she had last seen Edelgard.
Just when she began to hear more of the singer's verses, time ground to a halt.
The flames soared back toward their source as Byleth's soldiers, who had been chasing the Imperials, ran in reverse. An arrow fired by Bernadetta flew back toward her.
Byleth knew she had to conserve the Divine Pulse's power. Hopefully the amount she had used would be enough to avoid disaster.
Time resumed its flow, and she heard the singing continue.
Venu
Resurgito
Byleth immediately shouted, "FALL BACK! BACK, NOW!"
Alluceto
Startled by Byleth's sudden order, the Church soldiers hesitated to comply.
In dolore
The barrage of flames surged toward her army.
Illusio
The flames crashed down where a large chunk of Byleth's forces would have been had she not warned them.
And though some were caught in the flames, screaming as they were incinerated by Cornelia's Hellfire Bolero, the losses were far fewer than they could have been.
Byleth didn't have a moment to sigh in relief before she heard the Hymn continue.
…
In hoc mundo clades indiges
Votum, dolor (vacuum, fatuus)
Ex oblivion
In tristitia
Cornelia's body surged with power as Edelgard watched in astonishment. It was as if the Duchess had pulled fire from the very depths of Hell and bound them to her will. Though the Church had avoided the worst of it, it had created a wall of fire that their soldiers would never be able to cross. At the same time, more fireballs were soaring from Cornelia's position, spreading flames all over the battlefield and inflicting more losses on the Alliance and Loyalists.
Cornelia's supplicants went briefly silent as the sorceress continued her Hymn.
Vae victis fortunarum
Vae, ignis tinea fio
Cornelia twirled as though dancing as she sang. The flames she called forth roiled and swirled before her as though they were waves in a stormy sea.
Vade retro, ah vanitas
Et omnia vanitas
The Duchess then extended a hand toward the Alliance as she went on to the next verse, accompanied once more by her supplicants.
…
Hilda turned in confusion as she heard Cornelia's song. Her eyes then widened as she saw the immense flames being conjured from the Empire's main position.
At the same time, Claude, who flew above the central hill to try and spot for his artillery, was astonished to see the massive inferno that Cornelia was channeling. The leader of the Alliance could scarcely believe what he was seeing. Such a feat of magic was unheard of in Fódlan.
Nihilum flamma (vae victus fortunarum)
Visio (vanitas omnia)
It then struck Claude what the Empire's plan had been, and that he had led his army right into a trap.
Vindicia (vanitatum sentio) (sentio dolor, ah dolores)
Ah senta (dolores sentio) (et omnia vanitas in tristitia)
"RUN! EVERYONE, GET OFF THE HILL!" Claude shouted at the top of his lungs.
Vae victis fortunarum
The flames raged and roiled as the Alliance frantically tried to get away from the central hill.
Vae, ignis tinea fio
"Leave it! Get out of here!" Raphael shouted at some of the siege engineers who were trying to save one of the Ballistae.
Votum, dolor (resurgito)
"Go! Go! Run!" Hilda shouted at her men, who surged to get off the hill via its eastern slope.
Vacuum, fatuus (alluceto)
Cornelia centered her gaze upon the Alliance as her eyes glowed like flames.
It was too late for them to escape.
Ignis sentio tragico (dolores sentio tragico)
Cornelia's voice rang loudly across Gronder Field as her Hymn reached its climax.
COMOEDA
The flames surged forward, creating a literal tidal wave made of fire, which swept across the plains faster than the swiftest of mounts.
Within seconds, it engulfed the central hill of Gronder Field. Men and women of the Leicester Alliance screamed as they were reduced to ashes and dust almost instantly, incinerated by the hellish flames.
In what had been only scant seconds, the entire hill had become a raging inferno.
The supplicants joined Cornelia in singing the final verses of the Hellfire Bolero, causing the flames around the Duchess to recede.
Vedis, calor
In scaena salto
Edelgard was dumbstruck at what she saw. The fire had burned away the fog covering Gronder Field, but the smoke coming from the central hill made it difficult to see the damage done. But from the numbers she had seen prior to the spell, she guessed Claude had probably lost no less than 6,000 soldiers in the blink of an eye. At the same time, the flames had caught some of the Imperial Army in its path, but it had to be no more than a few hundred lost to Cornelia's Hymn.
Silently, Edelgard found herself thankful that the Duchess of Faerghus was on her side.
Cornelia let out a loud sigh and then said, "What a rush. Wielding power like that is always so… intense."
Edelgard turned to see Cornelia was exhausted. It seemed even the Duchess had her limits when it came to wielding magic. Her supplicants were similarly worn out from helping the sorceress with such a powerful Hymn.
Before Edelgard could ask Cornelia if she was alright, the Duchess said, "I trust you can handle the Leicester Alliance from here, El?"
It took Edelgard a moment to realize she still had an army to command. Yet in that moment, she found herself surprised that she had worried for the Duchess's well-being.
But the moment passed, and so Edelgard shouted, "ADVANCE! Crush the Leicester Alliance once and for all!"
The Imperials, spurred by their Emperor's command, roared as they charged at the Alliance Army.
Talk about a disaster.
The first song, the one Dorothea used, comes from the Fate/Zero anime, and is called "Let the Stars Fall Down". It's another Yuki Kajiura work. She's damn good at making epic music.
The second one comes from Genshin Impact, and is called "Saltatio Favillae". It was composed by Yu-Peng Chen, and plays during the boss battle against La Signora. Very fitting for a Hymn designed to unleash the very fires of Hell. And really, Yu-Peng Chen knocked it out of the park.
Before you ask, the first song doesn't translate into anything real. Yuki Kajiura's songs are in an entirely made-up script, so don't bother trying to translate them. As for the one from Genshin Impact, the lyrics are Latin, which you could run through a translator. That said, Yu-Peng Chen does use Chinese and Japanese lyrics in some of his songs from Genshin Impact.
As a side note, Cornelia having back-up singers? That's cheating! Of course, this may open up the door for Dorothea's friends to do the same for her. It depends if I can find some songs that would work for her.
Anyhow, we'll see just how much damage has been caused in the next chapter. I'll see you then.
EDIT: Sorry folks, but I think we're all busy with Tears of the Kingdom right now. I'll get the chapter out next week.
