I am so sorry this chapter was late this weekend! I've been busy with work and writing for class! I am hoping to get two chapters done next weekend. In this chapter I wanted to give more backstory into who Sophia is, we don't quite have all the answers, in fact, more questions, but I promise you these will be answered! And my Bamon shippers please be patient, it is all coming in such a big,big way.

The Characters and whom I envision playing them:

Bonnie Bennett – Kat Graham

Damon Salvatore – Ian Somerhalder

Sheila Bennett – Young Jasmine Guy

Sophia Archambeau – Young Tawny Cypress (25)

Patty/Bonnie Bennett – Riley Keough (with red hair)

Year 2022, Bonnie asks Sophia what she is not telling her:

"I think it's better if I show you" replied Sophia.

Sophia took Bonnie's hand and with her free hand, she held the end of the necklace which held a gold waning crescent moon.

"Show me what exactly?" questioned Bonnie with a concerned look.

Bonnie's magic was still running through her like a current which Sophia took note of.

"I need you to take a deep breath and calm yourself" Sophia ordered.

Bonnie tried to wave off the many thoughts that were now racing through her mind, one being that Sophia mentioned how she couldn't feel her anymore when she usually was able to help Bonnie remain calm and focus on her magic by using her empathic abilities. Bonnie knew, however, that she had to trust her, and did not want to lose the only witch friend she had made that didn't want anything from her but to help her.

Bonnie nodded in response to Sophia. Sophia closed her eyes with Bonnie following. Sophia then performed an incantation in a language unfamiliar to Bonnie. Soon after, Bonnie felt a swift gust of air that felt like it was pulling her forward.

"Hi Bonnie!" Said a younger version of a smiling Sophia.

Bonnie slowly opened her eyes and quickly noticed that they were no longer by the unmarked cave of Sophia's ancestors near the Sudwala Cave system. Instead, she was placed on the floor across from Sophia and noted the dated 70's décor and arrangement of candles and herbs in the middle of Sophia and Bonnie.

"We don't have a lot of time before your grams comes back" stated the younger Sophia.

"My grams? Where am I? How did we get here?" Bonnie frantically asked as she got up to take in the space around them.

"It's 1977, and you're in my apartment, lower east-side Manhattan", Sophia walked to her mantle to light more candles.

"I know you must have a lot of questions Bonnie Bennett, I've been waiting to meet you for a very long time, my future self and I have been in communication for a while, I can only assume that means you helped me find the necklace since you're here."

"You told me you would show me what you're not telling me, I'm not sure how this answers any of my questions" Bonnie retorted.

"I need you to do a glamour spell, Sheila is picking up a few more herbs but will be here in a moment, I told her one of my friends from down the way would be stopping by to help with our session" Sophia walked over to the small dining table and picked up a picture of a tall slim red-haired woman with shaggy hair, very similar to Stevie Nicks. After picking it up she handed the picture over to Bonnie. Bonnie looked at the picture and was about to open her mouth to recite her glamour spell when she was interrupted.

"Focus Bonnie, you don't need incantations anymore, and yes…I saw what you did at the cave" Sophia stated.

Bonnie raised an eyebrow as she stared intently at Sophia and then closed her eyes to help focus on her intentions to do a glamour spell. After opening her eyes Sophia stood across from her smiling and nodded over to the mirror by the entryway. Bonnie walked over and saw that it worked and tried to seem not surprised by the power of her magic.

"Good, now I need to quickly debrief you, my future self may have lied when I told you that I knew your grams only through passing, we are.. or were quite close during these years, and she's finally been able to come visit more since graduating college a few years ago," Sophia said smiling recalling the fun summers in New York City with Sheila.

"But she's been having recurrent nightmares since running into…someone, someone that you currently have a strong connection with." Sophia gave Bonnie a side-eye smirk.

"I'm not following" Bonnie began to walk to the living room window to look at what felt like a time capsule.

"You'll see in a moment, anyway, these nightmares featured a wayfinder, a key, made up of different phases of the moon, parts of this key were given to four prominent leaders of powerful covens thousands of years ago" Sophia stated while rubbing her neck.

"The key we got today, was in the shape of a crescent moon, you said you needed it to help fulfill a prophecy for your line" Bonnie stood there remembering conversations she and Sophia had about the necklace and the prophecy while running her hand through her long red hair.

"Yes, well, of those four covens, three are currently alive and well, and one is locked away" Sophia's eyes glinted.

"Wait, these three leaders have to be thousands of years old, older than.."

"Older than the Mikaelson's? Absolutely" Sophia said while chuckling.

Bonnie looked up at Sophia and narrowed her eyes while crossing her arms.

"I've been guiding your line for a very long time Bonnie, sometimes directly and other times indirectly. Only in recent years have I made myself known to a Bennett witch, which is Sheila, I even helped Qetsiyah come into her own before.."

Before Sophia could finish her sentence and Bonnie had time to react to it, Sheila came to the front door.

"Nice for you to finally join Patty" A young Sheila Bennett in her twenties handed Bonnie a bag of herbs as she barreled through the entryway.

"I cannot believe how long that took, I had to check on Abby and her grandmother at the hotel before I came back, now where were we?" Sheila quickly plopped down on the floor waiting for Sophia and Bonnie to sit down with her.

Bonnie shot Sophia a look not knowing what her role was in whatever they were doing.

"Ah yes, Patty why don't you go ahead and get those psychic skills going, let's all hold hands."

Bonnie nodded in relief now knowing what her role was and how she admittedly was excited to use her psychic skills, ever since letting Enzo find peace, she rarely wanted to tap into those skills. When Sheila took Bonnie's hand an electric current went through them both which caused them to jump at the sensation.

"Damn Patty! Have you been taking Sophia's psychedelic stash again, if you're going to get the party started without me, you could've at least waited for me, I know I'm a mom, but I still get down" Sheila said smiling to herself.

"I just needed a little pick me up for this session, I heard you've been having some real groovy dreams" Bonnie said with confidence, hoping that this was the right decade to use the word "groovy"

Sophia and Sheila both looked at each other and started laughing.

"Let's just go ahead and get started," Bonnie said rolling her eyes which made the pair laugh again.

"Okay, we're ready for you Patty" Sheila held out both hands for Sheila and Bonnie to hold. Bonnie and Sheila held hands again and Bonnie couldn't help but smile to herself and relax because it felt like home.

"Okay, Patty tell me what you see" ordered Sheila.

They all closed their eyes; Bonnie took a deep breath to focus.

Bonnie saw flashes of different parts of the moon key scattered in different areas around the world and then quickly saw three figures against one, all faceless trying to subdue another faceless figure. Looking all around, Bonnie saw lifeless, faceless beings scattered around the field as if a war just happened, the sky was dark and red with thunder all over and when she looked down at the ground, she noticed the one being was at the center of a full moon outline burnt into the ground. She looked across the field they were in and saw a shadowy figure coming towards her, she couldn't make out the face, but it quickly came up to her and snapped her neck.

Bonnie immediately opened her eyes in horror and grabbed her neck and started hyperventilating. Sheila and Sophia immediately went over to her to comfort her.

"Get OFF of me!" Bonnie yelled, which flew both Sheila and Sophia backward.

Bonnie's glamour was slowly starting to go away, which Sophia took note of and quickly yelled "Dormir!" in French. Bonnie fell to sleep immediately which let Sophia focus on making sure Sheila was okay.

"Now I know that girl is not Patty, Sophia, who the hell did you just let in my head" Sheila got herself up and dusted herself off, thankful that she was flung into the couch at least.

"I'm so sorry I have to do this Sheila", Sophia quickly ran to Sheila and held onto her shoulders as she looked into Sheila's eyes and spelled her to forget what she was doing there in the first place.

"Damn, I must have been out for a while, I am not drinking anymore of your special teas Sophia!" Sheila said while rubbing her head and noticed that the room was awry with a red-headed girl asleep on the floor.

"Sheila go and get some rest, and give that beautiful baby girl my love, I'll see you tomorrow" Sophia helped to guide Sheila out the door. After a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, Sheila was gone.

Sophia was thankful that Bonnie was distracted enough to let Sophia in to disarm her. Sophia walked over to Bonnie to wake her up. Bonnie's glamour finally went away as she slowly woke up.

"My grams, did I hurt her? Is she okay? I didn't even get to speak with her much" Bonnie said while slowly sitting back up.

"She's okay, you know how tough she is, she won't forgive me for spelling her to forget though…I need to know what you saw."

Bonnie shook her head as she was remembering what she saw.

"I couldn't see who the people were, but it looked like.. it looked like the end of a battle, but someone saw me there and snapped my neck," Bonnie said while rubbing her neck again.

"Everything was dark and red, so many dead bodies around, the ground… the ground had the outline of the full moon burnt into it. Why would my grams be dreaming about this, she never told me about this dream."

"And she won't, I don't think I let her remember the dreams…Bonnie I have never been able to decipher those dreams, nor have any psychics we have ever come across, a Bennett should not know about the full moon prophecy." Sophia began to pick up around the room.

"Earlier you said she had started to have these dreams after she ran into someone recently, someone I care about…What year is it again?" asked Bonnie who was still sitting on the floor looking at the candles in front of her.

"1977" Sophia answered.

Bonnie shook her head as she laughed and groaned remembering Damon's stories about NYC in 1977, notably remembering it was around the time he screwed over Lexie.

"All roads keep leading back to you" Bonnie whispered to herself.

"I have to send you back now, any questions you have with future me she'll be able to answer…before you go I need you to repeat this spell so I can forget the details of you being here, I can't afford to mess up any kind of timelines, I already meddle and see enough… just remember Bonnie, there are so many people physically in this realm and not in this realm, that is guiding you and trying to protect you, please remember that, I need you to remember that". Sophia gave Bonnie a hug and then squeezed her shoulders.

Bonnie gave a smile in response that didn't reach her eyes.

"All right I'm ready Bennett," Sophia said smiling.

Bonnie then recited the spell Sophia handed to her, and then quickly felt another gust of wind and was back in 2022 with future Sophia.

"Now that you've seen what I suspected you would see, you're ready to hear everything, it's time we go to France, there are some people I would love for you to meet." Sophia's said as her eyes lit up.

Bonnie smiled and nodded, not being able to fully focus on the many questions she had for the assumed ancient witch and not wanting to admit that the smell of the person who snapped her neck in Sheila's dream smelled too familiar for her liking. She brushed it off and started walking ahead with Sophia.

Please leave reviews :) I am interested in what questions you may have about this story and the characters in it! I am tying up some questions before we get to the present, so these next few chapters are important to the plot and then some goooooood stuff is coming ;)
