As the cave continues to glow with blue light, the energy leaking from the fractures begins to funnel towards Shamazon, causing him to give off an aura of bright blue energy. Bella's attention is completely enraptured by this phenomena, and she drops the Multima Cutter, watching as Shamazon clutches at his head, before suddenly jerking his hands away, pulling off his headband. The moment he does this, D² seems to disintegrate, and Shamazon's eyes turn a deep, fiery red as they fill with a dark and forgotten energy.
"The inhibitor is no more, and this place will soon be the same." Says the being that stands in place of Shamazon, who is actually Supreme Shazamitas, the true form of Shamazon that was sealed away long ago due to just how dangerous and powerful he is, and due to his deeply evil intentions. Calamitous flames begin to spread in all directions from Shazamitas as his Stand begins to take effect.
"Bask in the flames of Raw, Unfiltered Calamity, for they shall be the last thing on which you ever set your eyes." Shazamitas says, staring directly into Bella's four eyes as Bella remains paralyzed in terror. Before she can even fully process the circumstances, Bella is completely incinerated by the calamitous inferno, with the entire Murderswarm disintegrating into ashes seconds later. Realizing that he has no other choice, Malagca stands up, preparing to fight Shazamitas himself.
"Oh? So you really think you stand a chance? Or are you just delaying the inevitable, beast?" Shazamitas summons a calamitous fireball in his hand, and casts it at Malagca, causing an explosion of flame. Malagca tries to approach Shazamitas, to at least do anything to get him out of the cave in order to seal it and protect its contents, but the heat of the blazing inferno is keeping him from moving.
"It's here, isn't it? The very thing that I seek? Pathetic that you even now try to protect it, knowing that you and the rest of this jungle will be reduced to ash."
"I may not be able to defeat you…" the dragon begins, in a deep, bellowing voice, "but, there is one thing I can do…"
Malagca takes out a normal-sized cell phone and starts repeatedly texting "pls help" to everyone in his contacts list, getting out about 20 of these messages before being caught up in and destroyed by the raging flames. Shazamitas steps through the fire, unharmed by it, and begins searching for the Grand Jungle Relic of the Painforest, an ancient item which acts as one of several of its kind put in place to keep an incredibly powerful being at bay. This particular Relic was guarded by Malagca, and Shazamitas was sent by the sealed being to destroy it, but was sealed himself before he could succeed. However, despite all of his searching through the cave, Shazamitas cannot locate the Relic anywhere. It seems to Shazamitas that, perhaps, while Malagca was failing to put up any sort of fight, he may have been taking measures to conceal the Relic without Shazamitas realizing.
"Crafty monster…" Shazamitas mumbles, but before he can search anymore, someone calls out from the cave entrance.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing, Shamazon?! You were supposed to protect the jungle, not destroy it!" Cries Man Forrest, clearly overwhelmed with panic and fear at the moment. Shazamitas scowls.
"A mere child dare confront me? Foolish imbecile." Shazamitas blasts a fireball towards the entrance of the cave, but suddenly, a bright green light erupts from within Man Forrest, and his Stand comes out, wiggling in place before growing out of its seed-like state into its true form, which seems to anger Shazamitas even further. "So, this is how they hid the Relic? By making it into a Stand? They should know that killing children is not below me."
Man Forrest gulps as Shazamitas walks closer, but keeps his ground.
"I see now, you were never Shamazon to begin with! And Shamazon wasn't Shamazon to begin with, either! Well, guess what? The Man Forrest that you, or Shamazon, or whoever I once knew isn't here anymore either! And I won't let you destroy the jungle! With Tree of Life's powers, I'll stop you right here and now, and fix all the damage you've already caused!" Man Forrest begins to glow with a green aura to match the bright blue aura surrounding Shazamitas.
"You are still but a child. I have lived to see entire planets come to be and crumble to dust. Even with this new power, you lack the skill to defeat me." Shazamitas rushes towards Man Forrest, and grabs him, picking him up by the neck with one hand and pinning him to the wall, flames beginning to form in his palm and burning Man Forrest's throat. Man Forrest claws at Shazamitas's hand, but cannot fight against his superhuman strength. However, Man Forrest suddenly begins to undergo a physical change, and his arms course with strength, becoming more muscular as he manages to actually fight against Shazamitas's grip, prying it away from his neck. With the power of the jungle fueling his Stand, Man Forrest has taken on a much more physically impressive state of being.
"Like I said…" Forrest says, in a much deeper voice than usual. "The Man Forrest you knew is no longer here. You may now refer to me…as Forrest Man!"
Forrest Man twists Shazamitas's arm away, and punches Shazamitas in the jaw. He then shoves him to the ground, and as Shazamitas tries to get back up, Forrest Man grabs him by the Shamwow cape and starts to fling him around in the air in a somewhat silly manner, despite there being absolutely nothing silly about this situation.
Outside of the cave, Dirnum has activated his Stand, Dancing in the Moonlight, to create a small forcefield to protect himself and some other researchers from the raging inferno. Included among those within the protective bubble are Flurrie's unconscious body, Gongor, and Kelbeo.
"You know, Dirnum, I don't think I give you enough credit." Gongor says, definitely not just buttering up Dirnum to assure that he doesn't get booted out of the forcefield as punishment for always ignoring Dirnum's plant-related ramblings in the past.
"Yeah, and like, your style is totally awesome, too! We should hang out more!" Kelbeo adds. Dirnum smiles, glad to be getting some recognition for once, but he's also worried about the whereabouts of the other researchers and Painforest staff that he wasn't able to find.
Enkler and Harrdy have both stowed away on the very slow-falling meteor in the sky, which is currently high enough above the Painforest to be safe from the flames, but if the flames keep growing and aren't quelled, they may find themselves trapped in a slow and painful demise.
Lugiuh walks back towards the Painforest, having just finished his lunch break, but upon seeing the raging inferno, he decides that maybe he left a few slices of cheese in his printer and that he's still a bit hungry, so he heads back home again.
Jyngel finds himself completely surrounded by flames, with no clear exit path or other means of escape. Seeing no way out of this situation, Jyngel places his sword in the mud next to him and stands tall, awaiting an honorable death. However, before the fire reaches him, a strange figure appears before him, seemingly manifesting out of thin air.
"Do not put down your blade quite yet. Your time has not come." the being says, keeping a casual, slouched posture, the light of the flames glinting off of his own sword, and off of the several timepieces located around his body. Jyngel does not question this, understanding entirely that if someone with a bunch of clocks on their person shows up and says that it is not his time to die, they probably know what they're saying. Jyngel grabs his blade once more, and the figure takes hold of his arm with one hand, before using the other to fire a single bullet straight into the air.
Back on the meteor, Harrdy realizes that him and Enkler being atop the falling rock is speeding up its descent. Enkler, being mostly made of metal, of course weighs much more than Harrdy, so Harrdy deduces that, while it may seem messed up, he has no choice here but to shove Enkler off of the meteor to slow its descent.
"Hey, Enkler, I gotta tell you something." Harrdy says.
"What's that?" Enkler looks over to Harrdy, clueless.
"You're fat and I banged your mom." While Enkler is stunned by these statements, Harrdy shoves him off the edge of the meteor towards the flames below. Through some crazy stroke of coincidence, or perhaps incredible marksmanship, the bullet fired by the strange figure with Jyngel pierces straight through Enkler's head, killing him before he even reaches the fire. At this same time, both the mysterious figure and Jyngel vanish from the Painforest, just as the fire consumes the spot where they stood.
Ignis is a bit bummed that somebody got around to burning down the Painforest before he could, but he isn't afraid of the fire or anything, since he wore a fireproof suit for this exact reason. Ignis simply walks straight out of the Painforest.
"ENOUGH!" shouts Shazamitas, freeing himself from Forrest Man's onslaught of attacks and sending Forrest Man flying into the wall with a burst of flame. "All you've accomplished is making my hatred towards you deeper. You cannot kill me, but the same cannot be said the other way around. Your power feeds on the energy of the jungle, and my flames are destroying that source of energy as we speak. Your time is limited, but mine is not."
Shazamitas begins to glow brighter, and his flames burn stronger as he concentrates on sending them outwards. Forrest Man laughs a hearty laugh.
"You're right, I do need to beat you before the Painforest burns down, but I think you underestimate the resilience of nature. From my understanding, this isn't exactly the first time you've attacked this place. You failed once, and I think it's safe to say, you're going to fail again."
Shazamitas doesn't seem to care for what Forrest Man has to say, and just continues to fuel his fire. Forrest Man tackles Shazamitas, bringing him out of the cave and into the burning jungle, surrounded by fire on all sides. However, being out in the open like this seems to further empower Forrest Man's energy, enough so that he's able to have Tree of Life directly attack Raw, Unfiltered Calamity. As Shazamitas's Stand is attacked, the flames in the immediate area begin to flicker and dim, and Shazamitas's own body mirrors the damage that his Stand is receiving from Tree of Life's barrage of relentless energy-based attacks.
"These useless drugs…they're holding me back!" Shazamitas growls, holding out his arms into the fire. The Power Patches burn away, causing the power that was being sent through Shazamitas's body to be added to the flames as fuel instead, dramatically increasing the power of the inferno as it burns stronger than ever. Forrest Man starts to sweat from the heat, the first sign of weakness he's displayed since entering his empowered state. Surely, Forrest Man thinks, there must be some other place to get energy from. After all, the Painforest certainly isn't the only jungle out there. And nature itself? Well, that's just about everywhere. Forrest Man clearly needs more power, and fast, but the Painforest is dwindling with each passing second. Not sure what else to do, Forrest Man holds his arms out into the air like he once saw the hero do in some anime.
"Jungles, forests, nature, lend me your power! I shall use it to put an end to this evildoer!" Forrest Man calls out, and, to his slight surprise, green energy particles seem to manifest out of thin air, channeling into him as his cry is heard. Shazamitas's eyes twitch with frustration.
"This is no fairy tale! You are foolish to try such childish things!" Shazamitas yells, focusing the fire towards Forrest Man. Forrest flinches from the burning around him, but holds his stance, his green glowing aura getting brighter and stronger, as Shazamitas's flames burn higher and farther.
The entirety of Costa Brava is swathed in flickering red light from the flames of the Painforest, with occasional flashes of blue and green in the sky from the battle between Shazamitas and Forrest Man. Nobody seems entirely sure what's going on, with some watching and filming the event, and others locking themselves inside.
"Wow, this is so cool! It's like one of those epic anime battles!" Weeb Woo says, watching from the sidewalk outside of the WCL building, where he and the other officers have gathered.
"Don't you think we should try to do something about this?" Wheel Woo demands, his tone very grave and serious.
"What are we supposed to do? We're just cops." Woo Hoo says bluntly. "Even if this is a Stand attack, the water from November Rain can only handle so much. That fire is far too out of control to be quelled by it."
"Excuse me? 'Just cops'? It's like you don't even care ever since Wee Woo died. We're supposed to be the people who keep this city safe, for everyone who lives here. They're counting on us." Wheel Woo responds.
"No, I think this one is better suited for the fire department to handle." Woo Hoo shakes his head.
"And why would they fare any better than November Rain? You said it yourself, the fire is too out of control. We need to deal with whoever is causing it. Are you really willing to just let this entire city potentially burn down, just because you yourself didn't want to step up to the task? To at least try to do something?"
"If you're so confident about it, Wheel Woo, why don't you just go and do it yourself?"
"That was my plan to begin with. Well, not by myself. I would die in an instant if I went in there. Which is why I will humbly request the presence and assistance of our talented companion, Dr. Woo."
"These terms are reasonable." Dr. Woo says. Wheel Woo gets in a cruiser, and Dr. Woo sits next to him, as the two begin to drive straight towards the Painforest.
"Come on, Jonnnny! Make them put out the fire better!" Indy yells, watching Jonnnny's summons spraying water at the fire near the edge of the Painforest, outside of its walls. The summons in question include Mario Mario, Squirtle Pokemon, Greninja Pokemon, PAC-MAN PAC-MAN, and Corrin Fire Emblem.
"I can't make them do any more than what they're already doing!" Jonnnny whines.
"Oh no! If they can't put out the fire, then the stocking stuffer competition will get cancelled!" Indy despairs.
With the fire keeping Librarin distracted, Grarg is able to finally escape from the basement and return to his home in Hefflica, now free from the paranoia caused by Sagnus's presence.
The fire has begun to spread beyond the walls of the Painforest and onto the streets of Costa Brava, threatening the livelihoods of the numerous people who live here.
