Chapter 2: Kidnapped to Another World

"Kaori!!"

As the halo glowed brightly and engulfed the entire classroom, Shizuku could only call out her best friend's name and hug her tightly trying to ignore her own fear.

Followed by the sensation of a violent fall the light that enveloped her began to dissipate. As the light faded, she hesitantly worked up the courage to open her eyes.

The first thing Shizuku noticed when she opened her eyes was her best friend who was still in her arms, she looked around and found most of her classmates and Aiko-sensei were also there.

"Kaori are you hurt?" Shizuku asked her best friend while trying to understand what was going on.

"I-I'm fine"

When she looked around, she saw that they were in the center of a large hall filled with white. Maybe the whole hall is made of marble? The entire building was rendered with a fine white luster, had large pillars beautifully carved holding it up, and the ceiling was crafted in the shape of a dome. The whole place looks like a cathedral and the hall has a very serious and majestic atmosphere.

Their position was higher than the surroundings, around them were thirty white robed people who were kneeling and clasping their hands together in front of their chests. They were all wearing white robes embroidered with gold thread and they had a staff right next to them, the tip of the staff spread out like a fan, and several pieces of discs hung around them in a circle.

Are they praying? But it seems Shizuku and the others were at the center of it?

Then finally she saw it...

The fresco spanning ten meters long, depicts a faintly smiling figure whose gender seems uncertain, engulfed in a halo, blonde hair flowing freely behind the figure. Behind are the plains, lakes, and mountains that have become the backdrop for the painting. The figure had both arms spread wide as if trying to grab onto everything. It is a very beautiful and amazing work of art.

But...

Shizuka didn't know why she felt fear when she saw the mural.

Her classmates also looked around dumbfounded at what they saw. Apparently, all the students who were present in the class at that time, were caught up in this strange situation.

Finally someone moves for the first time..

An old priest whose face was covered in wrinkles, stepped forward towards them. Even with his old age, he was wearing a robe that was too flashy and an ornament? Or a crown perhaps? Whatever it is is 30 cm high which makes it stand out from the rest of the prayers.

"Welcome to Tortus, our Hero and compatriot. We welcome you all. I am called Ishtar Lombard and I am the Pope of the Church of the Saints. Please, let's get along."

After he introduced himself, he flashed the smile one would associate with a good old man.

.

.

Shizuku and the others had been moved from their previous location, they had been led through a large hall and they saw several tables lined up 10 meters in front of them. Obviously it seemed to have been prepared beforehand.

It was a room made with exquisite detail. From a layman's perspective, it seemed that all the works that decorated the room were made with highly skilled techniques. The banquet venue, yes this is the banquet venue.

She then started to sit on one of the chairs with Kaori sitting next to her, Kouki and Ryutarou automatically sat next to them some of her classmates started to follow them. On the other line was Aiko-sensei who was also joined by her other classmates.

The reason no one had made a fuss so far was because everyone was too busy to process what had just happened to them. On top of that, Ishtar had just said he would explain what had happened after they calmed down and Kouki, with his top level charisma, had managed to calm everyone down. It saddened Aiko-sensei when she saw a student doing what should be her job as their teacher.

Where is our class president? Oh! He was already sitting in the very back row, it was right in the corner beside him was Hajime who was following him. He sat quietly, his arms crossed in front of his chest and his eyes closed.

Oddly enough, as he had not spoken a single sentence since they had been brought here.

When everyone was seated, with extraordinary timing, maids entered pushing carts. Yes, a true maids! This is a real, true beauty, a beautiful handmaiden who makes a man's dream come true.

The majority of class boys stared at the maids because of their teenage thoughts.Even though the girls were sending cold glares at them.

Even as a girl, Shizuku couldn't help but feel amazed at them, then suddenly she felt a strange chill from next to where she was sitting, it was Kaori, her best friend right now smiling while looking at a certain angle. As Shizuku followed her best friend's gaze, she found Hajime who was being mesmerized by the beauty of the maid who was preparing drinks for him.

Shizuku recognized only breath and shook her head.

Ishtar then started him explanation after he confirmed that everyone had received their drinks.

"I believe you are all confused. I will explain first, so please listen to the end before asking questions."

Shizuku had absolutely no idea what the old man was saying. It's not that Isthar's explanation was unclear, but what he said was very unbelievable for a normal Japanese teenager like her.

First, this world is called Tortus. In this world, there are three main races. Humans, Devils, and Demi-Humans. Humans ruled the northern region. Devils rules the southern region. Demi-Humans lived quietly in the wilderness in the east.

Of these, Humans and Devils have been at war for the past several hundred years. If one had to compare, the Devils were much stronger than the Humans but the Humans had the numerical advantage. The two sides had not engaged in a large-scale war in decades, but they were preparing for one in the near future.

Recently there has been an abnormal incident. Namely the increase in the number of monsters believed to be caused by Devils.

Monsters are said to be a variant of wild animals that receive magic and change. They are not considered real living organisms. They have the power to imitate the strange magic that other races use, and this makes them powerful and dangerous animals.

Until now very few people could tame them. Even if they could be tamed, a tamer could only control 1 or 2 monsters at most. This common thought was completely reversed by Devils. This meant that the Humans no longer had their numerical advantage. Now humanity is facing a crisis.

"The one who summoned you here is Ehit-sama. He is the god who protects us and whom we worship in the Holy Church. He is the one who created this world. Most likely Ehit-sama realized that if things stay like this, Humans will face destruction. For this reason you were called upon to avoid this future. The world you come from has a higher rank than our world, people from your world will have extraordinary power here. Before the summoning, we prayed to Ehit-sama for safety and you are the "safety" he sent. With your power, we will overthrow the Devils and save the Humans by Ehit-sama's will."

Ishtar said this with an extremely excited expression. He most likely remembered what the oracle had told him. Over 90% of the Humans in tortus are followers of the teachings of the holy Church, those who have heard of the oracle will be placed in a position of power.

Then...

"You can't be serious! You got these children to join your war? That's totally unacceptable! I won't allow such a thing! Sent us back! All these kids have families back home who must be worried about them! What you've done is just a kidnapping!"

The one who protested was Aiko. As an adult she clearly has a much faster understanding of situations than her students, moreover she is a teacher who teaches social studies.

But unfortunately the answer from Isthar was like a death announcement for Aiko.

"I sympathize with your feelings. Unfortunately we have no way of returning you to your original worlds."

Silence filled the hall. There was cold air rising all over the area. Everyone stared at Ishtar, not knowing what to say.

"..Eh? What did you mean… just now? If you can summoned us here! You should be able to send us back too!"

Aiko-sensei shouted filled with rage, something she had never been able to do before and shocked all of her students.

"Aiko-sensei..." muttered Shizuku who was surprised to see her sensei's action.

"As I said before, it was Lord Ehit who summoned you here. The only reason we were in that room was to greet the heroes, and to offer our prayers to Lord Ehit. We humans don't have the power to interfere with other worlds, so whether you can return also depends on his will."

"N-no way..."

Aiko slumped back into her seat, all strength drained from her. Students

the others started screaming as the truth of Ishtar's words dawned on them.

"You have to be kidding me? What do you mean we can't go back!?"

"You can't do this! Please just send us back!"

"War!? You can't be serious! Bring us back right now!"

"This can't be happening, this can't be happening, this can't be happening..."

Surely Shizuku wasn't free from that panic, thoughts in chaos now that she realized the gravity of their situation. As an attempt to distract or maybe an attempt to stay sane, she could only grip Kaori's hand tightly.

Kouki at that moment stood up and slammed his fist on the table with a bang.

Braak!!!

This sound startled the students and caught their attention from their panic. When he confirmed that he had everyone's attention, Kouki started to speak.

"Everyone, there is no reason to make a fuss in front of Ishtar-san. He had nothing to do with it. …I, I will fight. The people of this world will be in danger. Knowing that, how could I possibly let them suffer such a tragic fate? And besides, if we were summoned here to save humanity, perhaps we'll be allowed to return once we are saving them… right, Ishtar-san? Do you think that's possible?"

"It's as you say. Ehit-sama isn't that evil so he won't ignore a request from a hero of his choice."

"And we all get extraordinary strength, right? Since I got here, I feel like I've gotten stronger." Kouki said as he raised his fist in front of his chest.

"Yes that's right, each of you possess strength that is several times higher than the people of this world."

"Then it's fine. I will fight. I swear that I will save everyone in this world and then I will bring us back to our original world! I will definitely save everyone and this world, So just watch, you guys will definitely see the vow come true!"

Kouki gripped his fist tightly as he declared this. Kouki showed his bright sparkling smile at his friends.

'Haaah... he made his own arbitrary decision again..' Shizuku complained in her heart.

The students who previously had expressions of despair started to regain their composure and strength back. Kouki's eyes had been shining so brightly, seeming to have found hope in this desperate situation. Half of the school girls sent admiring glances at him.

"As I thought that if you were to say something like that, you'd only make me worry if you went alone. That's why I'll be fighting alongside you."

"Ryutarou"

"Looks like that's the only option we have right now, not that I'm against the idea of helping but... the point is I'll help too."

"Shizuku"

"Eh, If Shizuku-chan goes, I will also try my best."

"Kaori."

'I hope we made the right decision..' Shizuku mused in her thoughts.

With the proclamation of the four people, one by one the other students started doing the same thing. It's clear that they're just going with the flow.

"Wait a minute! How can you guys agree so easily!? Do you guys know what the true meaning of this situation we're in!?"

"Aiko-sensei..."

"Sensei, I understand your worry very well, but we can't ignore the people of this world. We are called to be heroes, right? That means we are capable and have what it takes to save everyone. So don't worry, everything will be fine, That's fine. Because I'll definitely protect us all!" Kouki once again proclaimed himself proudly.

"Don't worry Ai-chan we will definitely protect you!" Add a student followed by cheers from other students.

Aiko could only stare at her students in disbelief. Then she started thinking of good reasons to wake up the group of teenagers in front of her about how dire their situation was right now.

But...

Before she could find a good reason to convince hee students. She felt a hand on her left shoulder. It was Shirou, the class president.

Apparently he had gotten up from his seat and walked towards where Aiko was.

'Ri-right.. if it's Sengo-kun, he can definitely help me.' Aiko now considers Shirou as the only help she can count on.

Although often late and sometimes also involved in trouble. Shirou is unofficially the best student in his school not only because of his academic or athletic ability, which always gets perfect scores. Shirou is also a student who can always be relied upon in all situations and that is not only the opinion of Aiko but also all the teachers and staff of the school where she works.

"Sensei, I know what you want to say but for now please just go with the flow. When things get calmer we can talk about this matter and decide what our goals will be. So please trust me" Said Shirou while giving a gentle smile.

Aiko could only bite her lower lip and nod weakly, she also realized that they had no other choice now.

Shirou then looked at the old priest in a friendly manner, a courtesy one would normally wear when talking to someone as old as Isthar.

"Isthar-san, I heard what you said earlier but I will still ask you this.. If we win this war, will we be sent home as payment for our achievements?"

"Sure! As I said earlier. Ehit-sama is a benevolent god. He will definitely grant you heroes' wish after saving all of humanity from that accursed devil."

"Okay, I understand. Then I will participate in this war and win it." Shirou said loudly so everyone could hear him.

"Okay.. I will also come.." Aiko said conflictedly.

"Yes, I will definitely win this war" Shirou said his goal again.

In the end, with Shirou and Aiko's agreement, everyone finally agreed to help and take part in the war between humanity and the devils. However, almost everyone was unaware and did not understand what this all meant.

Indeed, there is another possibility where they try to escape from reality and to maintain their own sanity.

Ishtar had a somewhat satisfied smile on his face after seeing how the situation had developed. He then began to recount what kind of tragedy humanity had experienced as a result of the devil's cruelty.

But, he had ignored the stares from the teenager named Hajime Nagumo who was sitting in the very back row.

In a realm separate from the concept of space and time. A realm connected to countless worlds.

A realm that was a everdistan and unreachable paradise that was home to fantasy creatures, it was a realm that had vast expanses of forests, hills, mountains, rivers, lakes.

Twelve colossal spears of light scattered in twelve different places that became the link between this realm and the worlds outside.

In the center of all that, stands a magnificent white castle that is in the middle of a lake that is very clear like glass and is surrounded by a sea of flowers that emit a dim light that adds to the beauty of that nature .

In the center of the castle, in the throne room at the top of the castle which was left open for the king to enjoy the beauty of the starry night sky, one could see the king of this realm sitting on her throne. On her right side floated a strongest holy spear and on her left floated a strongest holy sword. And lastly, there was an old magic staff stuck into the floor not far in front of where she was sitting now.

The king of this realm is a very beautiful girl. A beautiful girl who always observes the millions of stars that shine brightly in the eternal night sky.

The girl always sat there watching every star in the eternal night sky from beginning to end. She will always know when a star will die and lose its light. She will always know when a star will be born and emit its light.

Why is she sitting there and looking at the stars? Isn't she bored?

She will never be bored. After all the stars are the embodiment of the best souls of mankind. A human who qualifies as a savior of mankind.

So as the girl who was the possessor of that authority, she had to watch whether or not that soul truly qualified.

If qualified, she will send a version of herself that is in the Throne Of Heroes or even her true self to assist, guide, and fight alongside the owner of the soul.

If the soul does not qualify, she would just watch from the hill, until the time when the soul finally met the conditions she set.

Or in special cases, she'll just sit watching while eating chocolate cake.

Like right now, where she was sitting watching one of her favorite souls, while eating a chocolate donut.

"Hehe.. looks like one of the alternate versions of your reincarnation is involved in a troublesome matter again, Shirou." Said the beautiful girl while giggling while watching one of the versions of the life of the young man who once fought by her side or that was what happened before he was reincarnated

"The version that I watched before, you had to get a headache from the actions of a certain Goddess of Love.. and now you have to get involved in another god's game... yum yum yum.. eehmmm delicious!" Said the beautiful girl while eating her chocolate donut.

"I wonder how you will deal with the problem this time? Will you be the one who destroys the god's board game? Or will you be like the others... just a chess piece played by the god? But considering that you didn't change even after reincarnating, you would definitely- ...! Ah, my chocolate milkshake is finished , Haah..." The beautiful girl then stood up and teleported to her castle kitchen to make a chocolate milkshake.

She had the beauty and nobility of a fairy but she also had the majesty and might of a dragon.

The Nameless King of the Eternal Star Garden of Avalon.

Hey!! Everyone we meet again in this simple fanfic of mine!!!

And as usual I hope that you will not have any difficulties in understanding my very lousy English skills... Hehehe...

I didn't expect that so many people would follow this simple story!! T_T (I'm touched) but thanks for reading it.

There are several points I want to discuss.

1. Character growth, Hajime will be no different from Canon. There was one comment that was almost similar to my plan for Hajime but it was different, even though the essence was similar the storyline was different.

2. I won't include other nasuverse characters in this story, maybe someone is watching this one Shirou story but they won't interfere.

3. Because I immediately use the main timeline, working on the story is much easier. (I write fanfic only when I'm relaxed and when I want to) so be happy guys.

This is different from Fate Dungeon Myth where the story begins one and a half months before the main timeline, which makes the process of developing the story slower. Ah but I'm planning on adapting a Canon story that takes place before the main timeline.

You see, I wrote the fanfic directly on the fanfiction apk on my smartphone so it took longer to work on while I was correcting it!! I don't have a laptop or PC.

Alright, let's discuss the contents of this chapter!!!

First, we see how Shizuku reacts when the summoning occurs where even though she is scared she still tries to protect her best friend Kaori.

Come on, where's the clapping!? Clap clap clap...

Then there is the moment where she gets scared when she sees Ehit's painting on the wall.

Unfortunately she was also the one who failed to realize the gravity of their situation.

Second, we see Kouki with super charisma who can calm the class and lead his friends and we can also see how naive and stupid Kouki is because he is very impressionable and has a hard time understanding the real situation.

Third, we see Aiko-sensei who failed to convince her students not to join the war. And as their only adult and teacher, it was obvious she was devastated by this failure.

Fourth, we see Shirou who doesn't do much in this chapter, but in the end he decides to join the fight and win it.

He even said the phrase "win it" twice. Hmmm...? What does he want to win huh...? A girl's heart, maybe?

Fifth, we see a girl who likes to watch other people's life stories like a certain old vampire, a certain magic king, a certain Incubus, and like the older sister of Ayaka Sayjo. But luckily she was on humanity's side and definitely a good girl.

Who's she? Ah! Isn't it obvious who she is!!! So don't ask, ok!

Obviously this girl had met and fought with Shirou before he was reincarnated... I wonder what kind of relationship they have huh..? And what is their story...?

Curious?

The answer to that question will appear in my newest fanfic story. A great war that burns the ocean where two kings FUAHAHAHAHAHA will meet, and the two strongest holy swords will cross each other, until the appearance of a dragon with seven crowns.

So just wait ok!!!

Thank you for those of you who have read this simple story to the end! I will also always accept your comments even though they sometimes contain annoying things... (-_-)

OK! See you again in the next chapter!!!
