Sequel to Chapter 44 (InuKog, Manicurist, Lime Green)

"Told you the design would last," Kouga said, leaning over Inuyasha's shoulder as the hanyou grabbed a second round of dessert.

"With all the shit you put on top of them, I need a fuckin' chisel to get it off," Inuyasha groused, shoving him away.

"Now, now. Kags was very specific about no fights during the reception."

"You're the one who—" Kouga caught his hand, eyes glinting as he licked some of the chocolate frosting off Inuyasha's claws. "Goddamit! I told ya to stop doing that in public!"

"Why would I stop when you have such a delicious reaction to it?" Kouga grabbed a plate for himself, sporting a bright magenta tie and matching glitter on his claws. "You know, for a racecar driver, you're a little slow on the uptake."

The tinkling of glasses silenced any retort he had, everyone turning to see Sesshoumaru gracefully dipping Kagome as they shared a kiss. The crowd cheered, Kouga letting out an extra 'whoop' before giving Kagome a thumbs up. "She looks so happy."

"Keh, I coulda told ya that." Kouga shot him a sideways glance, raising an eyebrow, and Inuyasha bristled. "You aren't gonna get jealous, are you? I ain't dealin' with that shit again. The last guy I dated tried to stop me from hangin' out with her. She's my—"

"I know she's your best friend. And I trust you."

He relaxed, then crossed his arms. "Why the look, then? Normally I can't get you to shut your mouth."

Kouga grinned, pulling Inuyasha's tie free of his vest as he yanked him closer. "I can think of better reasons to 'shut me up' if you'd like a list." Inuyasha cursed, knowing the minute his arousal had hit the wolf's nose, and yanked his tie away, stomping off to find the bride—and hopefully the rest of his dignity.
