[a/n]A few responses to reviews: 1]Kairan1979 about chapter 19 "...Harry learned Expeliarmus much later, when Dueling Club was opened." CoS[book & movie] had the Dueling Club 2 scenes after the Wall. He COULD have encountered it before we officially saw it the first time. Though I doubt any of Gilderoy's books. 2]Slytherin66 about chapter 19 "I wonder what would have happened if Argus had turned to ash like the DADA teacher in first year. Harry did feel like his life was in danger." Don't think that probable, because that had to do with the interaction of Lily's magic with the AK curse. Vernon didn't turn to ash and he's seen abusing Harry. Filch isn't Voldemort and wasn't using magic on Harry. 3]& Why Did Filch not flee when Riddle took over the school?" He likely wasn't a problem because his philosophy was in line with what the DEs wanted. 4] alix33 about chapter 19 Yep I robbed Harry instead of robing him, oops.

5]Bernardus about chapter 17 On Margaret saying "In proper military usage, soldier, an officer… is addressed as sir." Not sure which military you're thinking of, but foal military officers are "ma'am" Can't say I know much about regulations, whether today's or that of the 1950s, but I have a clear memory of her saying that at least once. A couple minutes of internet searching didn't get any hits, so can't say when. It does seem like something she'd say.

Harry Does Different CDLXIV

Marge Negotiations

"Your Aunt Marge is coming tomorrow boy." The big heavy man bore down on his small nephew "And you best bet any of your freak stuff and there'll be hell to pay!"

After his adventures, Harry wasn't impressed "Y'know, Hogwarts has taught me some interesting nonmagical things. Like while, you're married to my aunt that makes you my uncle, your sister isn't MY aunt."

"You'll treat her with the respect she's due, or you'll regret it." Countered Vernon, while beginning to purple.

The boy snorted in disgust "With exactly, precisely, the same respect she's treated me the past decade. And if she siccs one of her bitches on me, I'll turn it into throw pillow."

"You watch your tongue with me boy! And we all know there's no freak shit in normal homes!" his tone was a sort of angry/triumphant.

To that, Harry shrugged and telegraphed touching of his hip "My you-know-what is never out of reach. And that law is called Reasonable Restriction, meaning I just have to explain why I needed to …well, you know. So here's MY demand. I don't expect her to be nice to me, pretending I don't exist is fine. Oh, and you'll sign this permission form."

"What's Hogsmeade? Some freak space I assume." Vernon growled at the proffered parchment.

Harry did not bother getting angry at the term "Yeah, basically. Students can goto a town near the school, with the signed form. It costs you nothing and I'll stay out of Marge's way as far as possible. We're both happier when I'm out of this house anyway."

"Got that right." Vernon went to put the form in his pants pocket "We'll see how you behave and I might sign it."

Lightning quick, Harry snatched it back and slapped it on the table "We've been doing it your way all my life. So no. You'll sign here and now or the minute Marge gets here I'll hocus-pocus-alakazam something."

"Don't say things like that!" the fat man raged "And that WILL get you expelled."

Harry was bluffing here, he did not know, but "That'd be between me and Dumbledore. But your sister couldn't unsee what I do. Would she?"

"Fine. But you go back on your word and I'll throw that paper in the fireplace. All the better if you're still holding it! Clear Potter?" Vernon contemptuously put his signature to the form and stormed out.
