[a/n] Happy birthday Harry!
[a/n1]And in connection with canon, I was watching PoA and had a Huh? moment. Hermione is being whipped around by the Whomping Willow and she grabs onto Harry's shirt, pulling him into the air with her, eventually being thrown into the tunnel. Great visual and all, but how? Few 13yo girls are strong enough to lift a boy her size, if that is she even managed, in that fraction of a second of contact, to get a solid fistful of his shirt. Then again, with the speed of it all, shouldn't Harry's shirt have simply ripped?
[a/n2]Then a second Huh? moment shortly after: Wormtail transforms into Pettigrew and is wearing clothes and yet - after Harry expelliarmused him when Pettigrew becomes Wormtail again, he's clearly shown shrinking out of his clothes, leaving them behind. In short, to both, what gives?
[a/n3]Last, just interesting bit of trivia, Pansy Parkinson was portrayed by Genevieve Gaunt. Any relation?

Harry Does Different CDLXVIa
Harry Potter and the Walking Dead II
Harry quickly became part of the mixed little family, learning that it was only the sisters who were related. Even the baby, Judith, wasn't actually related to anyone; rather a refugee from the prison battle who'd been separated from her father. In Carol Peletier he found someone rather like Professor McGonagall. And while Tyreese Williams seemed at first Snapeish, the black man's personality more resembled Professor Moody, even if that guy was a Death Eater impersonating the real one. Dealing with the Samuels sisters was …well… familiar territory; even a little deserving compared with his prior fame.
"This broom flying is amazing Harry!" the younger girl was enjoying herself immensely. And for more than just the coasting above the treetops. Having her arms around the waist of the boy who'd saved her from becoming a Walker was a delight. She hadn't needed a second to decide to volunteer for a hunt. With a touch of mischievousness, she flicked some of her blonde hair.
The boy brushed at the minor annoyance saying "Can you watch your hair, Mika? We'll set down there. I see at least two deer. As soon as I land us ready your gun."
"Yes sir!" she responded with false bravado.
Setting down within easy range of a small herd, Harry directed with gestures and pushed her hands, then instructed "A couple deep breaths …hold it… annnnnnd fire!"
"I'm sorry. I can't." and she lowered her rifle.
Harry spun before the deer moved and shot "Avada Kedavra!" And after the animal crumpled, chasing off the rest of the herd, turned back "Okay Mika, what gives? You must've shot a dozen Walkers that first day, and a few since."
"It's different. They're not alive. And that was defense." She argued.
He sighed "While it's not defense, per se, feeding all of us is right at the top of the list. Even if we had a garden started, it would be months before they'd be ready. That Chef-Boyardee stockpile won't last forever."
"Even you said Ravioli is delicious." Her retort rang hollow even as she said it. So she changed tactics "I'm a lot better off than Lizzie. You seen it. My sister thinks Walkers are just misunderstood."
Rolling his eyes while simultaneously levitating the deer carcass toward them he good-naturedly complained "Mika, I get it, you and Lizzie both like me. Though Merlin knows why. Point is, I'm not all that much."
"Anyone who keeps my leg out of a Walker's mouth is pretty good." She looked up with a shy smile.
Holding in a sigh he countered "Tyrese was shooting too. For that matter, so were Lizzie and Carol."
"I'm pretty sure I don't like girls that way, Harry." Mika countered, though she was looking away as he used sticking spells to secure the deer to the broomhead "And Tyrese is too big, besides being older than all of us."
Seizing on this he pointed out "Lizzie's what? About twelve? That means ...well, I'm at least four, probably five, years older than you."
"So? Mom was eight years older than Dad." She was doing her preteen best to look sexy "Lizzie had her first kiss. Months ago back at the prison, a boy named Carl."
Harry hid a blush by looking down at his deer-laden broom and commanding "UP!" and after mounting extended a hand to the girl "Come on Mika, climb aboard."

Coming or going, Harry always circled above The Grove when on his broom checking for Walkers [as he'd come to call inferii] And no matter what he'd said about their ages, Harry really did not mind having Mika's arms around him. Just maybe he would put a few years into this situation. Thought screeched to a halt at a most alarming sight. He dropped the nose of the broom into a sharp dive and commanded "Hold on! Tight!"
"Harry! Wha'tha- -" Mika began, but an unwilling gulp of air silenced her. And within seconds she was unceremoniously rolling in the grass. Before she had time to work up a good mad, the reason was obvious.
Lizzie was squealing, dancing and dodging about in very close quarters with a Walker. Out of clear earshot, however, the older sister was clearly unafraid because she was giggling too "Ah-ah! No-no Mary! Tag! You're it! Heehee!"
"Expelliarmus!" Harry cast as rapidly as he could aim. Seeing what the spell did, he wasn't overly concerned about its impact. And as it happened, it was the living girl who was blasted over 50 feet and almost into a tree. In moments, Carol was on the scene tackling the undead woman and driving a kitchen knife through her left eye.
Lizzie was physically unaffected, but ripped into her guardian with rage "YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL HER! SHE WAS MY FRIEND! WE WERE PLAYING!"
"Elizabeth, it was NOT playing with you." Carol was exasperated "It was going to kill you and eat you. Or worse eat you THEN kill you."
Turning an accusing eye at her crush snarling "And you Harry! How could YOU help kill my friend?! I could have saved her from Carol! I HATE you!"
Harry looked at the girl without any emotion and shrugged "I'll take a nap."
"What about the deer?" asked an incredulous Tyrese.
The young wizard just shrugged "Maybe later." And was gone.

Much later, in fact very early the next morning, Carol wanted to know "So do you wizards have any spells for the mentally deranged?"
"Is that what's wrong with Lizzie?" Harry yawned while chewing a piece of meat "I guess that's a better explanation than hating me. How do you figure?"
In the dim morning light Tyrese was difficult to make out, at least until he clapped the boy's shoulder "Kid, she was feeding a mouse to an immobile Walker. I think we've just been kidding ourselves. Besides, we know she's crushing on you."
"The only spell I know for something like that" Harry ignored the tease "is Imperio. It's mental control. I've seen it done, lots. Had it cast on me by a couple real powerful wizards, so I know what it feels like and can beat it. I could probably cast it. I never have, because it's totally illegal. Like life in prison illegal."
Both adults shrugged, Carol pointed out sardonically "I don't see any cops about. And the next wizard I see will be the second."
"Good point." Harry acknowledged "Remember, though, I've never cast it. I think there's a difference between protecting yourself and attacking. As for the law? Like you said, I'm sure I broke a few since Hogwarts." He punctuated his comment with an eloquent shrug. "But what do you suggest?"
Tyrese tapped a spoon on the table "Something simple, like Walkers ain't people no more."
"Our teacher made people do things like pick their nose, or jump on one foot." Harry said in a contemplative tone "I'll give it a try."
The black man nodded his approval "How? When?"
"The spell is just one word." Answered the wizard as he stood and flipped out his wand "And from how resisting it was taught, the secret is to hit quick. Get them unprepared if you can. So, no time like the present."
Carol declared "Fine. But you are NOT going into the girls' room alone."
"If it works on Lizzie, maybe I'll just use it on you." Grumbled Harry, impatiently and embarrassed. Approaching the door, quietly, he pushed it open; then after determining which sleeping sister was which, pointed and fired "Imperio!" Deep inside her mind he implanted rigid commands "Walkers are monsters. Walkers are NOT people. Walkers are to be avoided at all costs. You will shoot them to save a living person."
The younger sister stirred in her sleep and was led from the room. Meanwhile, the troubled girl turned in bed and verbally answered the mental commands "Yes Harry."
"Seems awful easy, but I guess it worked." The wizard slumped into the man's grip "Thanks Tyrese. Takes a lot outta ya. Guess I need a nap." He wasn't awake long enough to remember getting in bed.

Lizzie woke from a deep sleep knowing exactly what happened in her mind. And she wasn't angry, no not at all. She got up and smiled blissfully at her sleeping sister. She briefly stroked Mika's blonde hair and gloated "Sorry lil sis. Harry proved he loves me more. I'm coming beloved!"
From Harry's perspective, resisting the Imperio was vastly easier than casting it. He'd lost track of the exact time and of the number of times he'd almost made it to consciousness. But not quite. This time he succeeded because he had a focus. Groggily, eyes only half opened, he muttered "Meeekah? Whadya wan'? Lizzzzat uuu?"
"I know what you tried to do, Harry." The blonde maybe barely teen girl came the rest of the way in and pushed the door shut "It wasn't very nice. Really. But of course I forgive you. In fact I'm here to show you the truth."
Harry's eyes widened in shock as she climbed into the bed, straddled his hips and settled atop him. Swallowing, he squeaked "What're you doing Lizzie?" A second later, he was thrashing about and clawing at whatever he could to breathe again.
"The pain won't last long." She promised, after ripping his pillow out from under him and shoving it in his face. Then she leaned all her weight in. Not one impact of the flailing hands affected her. And no one entered the dark room as she smothered him. Lizzie knew to keep up the pressure for a time after the fighting ended. After checking for breathing, and a pulse, she laid down, snuggled in and wrapped his arms around her. After pressing his face to her chest, soon to a blissful sleep.
Carol awoke, not to any particular sound; just that parental urge to check on her kids. She even included the young wizard in that group. In fact, his was the first door she opened. And let out a squeal of mournful horror "Ohhhh! Tyrese! Bring your gun! NOW TYRESE!"
A Walker Harry was tearing a jagged strip of flesh from Lizzie's arm.
"I heard shots. Everything alright?" Mika was wiping sleep from her eyes.
After a last look at the pair of dead undead, Carol pulled on the young girl's arm, commanding "You are not to open that door Mika! Do you hear me? Not for anything."

"Did Harry kill Lizzie or the other way round?" asked Mika as she stood with the adults, Judith on her back, watching flames grow to consume the house that had been home these many weeks.
Tyrese just heavily rested a hand on her shoulder and ordered gently "Let's get further away. It might explode."
