The rest of the week came and went. So, by the time it was Friday Uraraka was breathing heavily running down ground Gamma along with Tsu. Sero was using his tape to swing himself around, with Bakugo shooting himself through the air like he always did, taking small breaks every now and then, leaning against one of the pipes.
"Any sign of them?" Tsu asked looking around.
"Haven't seen any." Uraraka said leaning on her knees.
"Well, they couldn't have gone far." Bakugo said before flying off again. "Let's keep looking!"
"Quite bossy today aren't we man?" Sero said before following along.
"Shut up and keep your damn eyes open!"
They had already been at it for quite some time but had yet to see any of their other classmates other than Sato, Jirou, Kaminari, and Iida who they had already successfully captured. The main goal of this exercise was to capture as many of the other teams as possible and so far, they weren't doing great in Bakugos book, granted they had only been at it for half an hr.
"Alright, we need to come up with a better plan. This heat is killing me!" Sero groaned glaring up at the blazing sun as it beat down on them. "Whose idea was it to have training outside today?"
"Suck it up moron!" Bakugo landed in front of them on wobbly legs before he leaned down bracing himself on his knees. "This is nothing."
"Hey dude you alright?"
"Yeah, you don't look so good. Ribbit"
"I'm fine." Squinting his eyes shut, he quickly got back on his feet. "Now let's worry about finding the rest of those shitheads."
Rolling her eyes Uraraka crossed her arms already beyond annoyed with his attitude today.
"What, you got something to say cheeks?!"
Hearing him stomp towards her she still refused to look at him even after his larger form overshadowed her on. "Yes, I do! I agree with Sero. At this rate we're not going to find anyone."
Narrowing his eyes at her unwillingness to still not look at him, Bakugo clenched his gloved fists. Ever since their fight he's been trying to give her some space while at the same time trying to come to terms with what happened to figure out a way on how to still be around her. Despite the fact that it still hurt to think of her being with someone else, he still missed her and wanted her in his life regardless.
What the hell was he supposed to do?
And today wasn't any better. Here he was in the scorching heat with his hot as hell hero suit sweating bullets, irritated as fuck, feeling like he was about to pass out any minute, and unable to focus because of that to catch all those damn losers! And to top it off, he was assigned to the same team as the girl he wanted most in the world pissed off at him!
Taking a long calm breath out of his nose he slowly nodded. "Fine. Frog and tape face search over here. Round-face and I will search in the air that way." He pointed his finger towards his earpiece. "If you spot any of those idiots contact us and we'll come right away."
Scoffing at the suggestion she shook her head. "That's not what I- hey!"
"Get moving!" he shouted over his shoulder shooting off onto the air after getting the ok from their other two team members, not bothering to wait for her until she finally followed. Eventually they were able to capture a few more of their classmates.
"Alright…just…few more to go." He panted.
Landing on top of a large pipe she saw Bakugo slowly slump down next to her. "You know Tsu's right. You should go see Recovery Girl."
"I'm fine."
"But you really don't-"
"I'm fuckin fine alright!" he jolted to his feet. "Why don't you just worry about…" cutting himself off as his eyelids got heavy and felt himself losing balance. "Oh fuck…"
"Bakugo!" Widening her eyes in horror as soon as she saw him collapsing and falling off, she quickly jumped off trying to reach him but knew she wouldn't make it on time. "Tsu! Sero!"
"Gotcha!" Wrapping his tape around the blond right before he hit the ground, Sero quickly landed on the ground next to her.
"Mr. Aizawa! Bakugo needs help!" Uraraka yelled into her earpiece.
"I saw. Bring him to Recovery Girl. Uraraka." He spoke. "The rest of you head into the monitor area."
"You sure you got this?" Sero asked looking down worriedly at his friend.
"As long as he doesn't bite my head of then sure." She said watching them leave and activating her quirk on him. Dragging him off by the leg, she led them out of Ground Gamma and back into the school mumbling to herself the whole time. "Can't believe him. I should just leave you here..." She chuckled to herself thinking she wouldn't do it of course.
"You better not." He tiredly grumbled making her snap her mouth shut to bite back a smile.
By the time they made it to the infirmary he was already conscious and already complaining about wanting to finish the exercise. 'Couldn't that guy just take one single moment to relax?' she thought shaking her head disapprovingly.
"I need to go." He scowled at Recovery girl who pretended like she didn't even hear him while he had a thermometer sticking out of his mouth. "And you over there, stop shaking your damn head! You look like a fuckin bobblehead."
Sticking her tongue out Uraraka crossed her arms keeping her eyes at what Recovery girl was currently doing.
"Now young man, passing out in the middle of a training exercise is not what I would call normal. Is this what I think it is?" Recovery Girl asked only receiving a stubborn pout from him in return as he averted his gaze, and she checked his temperature. "Now, didn't we talk about this? The moment this happens you know you're supposed to notify me."
Furrowing her brows Uraraka hasn't seen the pro looking at someone this stern in a while as Recovery Girl continued to scold him.
"Alright, I fuckin get ok. Can I go now?"
"Only if you come back the minute this happens again, or you still don't feel 100% since I know you won't heed my warning about staying here. So, in the meantime, go and get some rest."
"Fine. I'm out." Hopping off the bed, he left the infirmary before anything else could be said.
"That boy is a stubborn one." Recovery Girl sighs. "Make sure to keep an eye on him Uraraka."
"Why me?" she whined dragging a hand through her face. Couldn't she have asked someone else? Kirishima or Sero perhaps. Being around him was the last thing she wanted right now. As if she could read her mind the pro just smiled.
"Mr. Aizawa gave the two of you the pass to be excused for the rest of the day since this is your last class of the day anyways."
"Alright." She pouted reluctantly, running off in search of the fiery explosive boy 'Now if I were a hot headed, arrogant, cute…NO loud-mouthed guy who doesn't listen to anyone but himself where would I be?' Groaning, she already had an idea of where he was headed, and she was right when she made it outside. "Don't even think about it."
Halting in his steps he felt his shoulders tense as he let out an irritated growl at being caught.
"She just literally told you to go and rest, not to go back to training."
"Don't fuckin tell me what to do pink cheeks."
"Fine. Go ahead and pass out again I don't care. I'll just go back and tell her then."
"The fuck? You're really gonna fuckin tattletale on me now?!" He whirled around staring incredulously as she jogged off in the opposite direction. "You wouldn't!"
"I SO would!" she shouted over her shoulder, finding satisfaction in the surprised look on his face. 'Serves him right.'
"OI! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE ROUND-FACE!" Clenching his teeth, he set off to go after her. "Damn it!"
Running up the first flight of stairs she could hear him hot on her trail as she made her way down the hall turning the corner and heading up the last flight of stairs.
"DON'T YOU FUCKIN THINK YOU'RE FASTER THAN ME!"
Thankful to see the infirmary doors just a few feet away, she took a few quick steps before being yanked back by the arm and pulled around the corner. "How-"
"I told you I'd catch you." He smirked weakly, breathing hard and making it difficult for her to focus as his breath tickled her cheek.
Crossing her arms, she kept her gaze turned. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were scared of the nice little old lady."
"She has a mean cane." He continued to watch her shifting uncomfortably under his gaze until she started to walk off.
"B-Bakugo you should really listen to her." She slightly jumped when he slammed his hand against the wall blocking her way to the infirmary.
"Look at me -I'm fine."
"No, you're not."
"And how the hell would you know huh? You haven't so much as looked my way."
Feeling her throat tighten at the hurt tone in his gruff voice she shook her head keeping her voice calm. "Bakugo you're sick, m-maybe you should just rest-"
"Uraraka…look at me." Gently lifting her chin with his gloved finger, he saw her still hesitating to do so. "…Please."
Pressing her lips together, she very slowly lifted her eyes to meet his red ones, and the moment she did, she gave a small gasp, feeling her heart skip a beat. Those were the eyes she missed, those were the eyes who always seemed to take her breath away with how beautiful they were, and those were the eyes that belonged to the guy that made her chest flutter whenever he would stare at her the way he did now… like she was all that mattered to him.
But she knew better, he didn't feel the same, not that she could blame him.
Little did she know that he was thinking the same thing as he continued to stare at her brown ones in awe until he had to blink and take a small step back keeping his arm in place. "Listen…I've been meaning to talk to you about that time at the gym and wanted to a-"
"This has nothing to do with it." She quickly cut him off, deciding not to open those wounds and saw him pull his arm back. "You're sick and need to rest."
Scoffing he turned to leave. "No, you need to listen. I already told you I'm fine." He said jogging down the stairs. "But if you don't want to hear what I have to say then fine!"
"UGH!" pulling at her hair she quickly followed knowing he was trying to get her as far away as he could from Recovery Girl. "Bakugo!"
Making it to the dorms she caught him leaning on his knees by the entrance. "You know…I'm supposed to be fuckin resting, but your ass is fuckin chasing me all over the damn place."
"Not by choice believe me." She narrowed her eyes, placing her hands on her hips.
"Oh yeah? Then why else are you following me?" he smirked over his shoulder gesturing that they were already here.
"Because I know how stubborn you can be."
"Well then that makes two of us." he mumbled stepping inside. "Well, we're here, so why don't you…" unable to finish that sentence he felt his legs give out once more. "Shit!"
Swiftly activating her quirk to take some of his weight off she caught him this time, trying to wrap her arms around his waist, which was still difficult considering how big he was compared to her. Not to mention feeling the blush creep up to her cheeks at their proximity and trying not to make it obvious that the pleasant scent of caramel assaulted her nose.
All those thoughts flew out of her mind as soon as she felt him flinch at her touch, and she wasn't going to lie and say it didn't hurt.
"I don't need a damn babysitter round-face!"
"Apparently you do." she exhaled loudly, thinking that after he felt better… she was going to kill him for making her run around like a maniac. "Look I can either carry you like this or have you floating like a balloon. You're choice."
Snorting, he finally let her lead them to the elevator letting her remove her quirk when he complained about being able to at least walk. "My choice huh."
Deciding to ignore him she quickly pressed for the fourth floor until they arrived and stepped out. "Alright do you think you could make it to your room and take a shower?"
Chuckling, he gave her a sly smirk. "Why, otherwise you'd help me?"
"WHAT?!"
Frantically waving her hands in front of her face she accidentally let go watching him fall forward. "Oh hell, Uraraka!"
"Y-you shouldn't say things like that!"
"Noted." He mumbled slowly lifting himself up. "Now about that talk-"
"Ugh Bakugo, I don't want to talk about it ok! You made it perfectly clear. We're friends ok! Happy?"
She saw something flicker across his face as he smirked to himself clearly annoyed before he turned himself around clinging onto the wall for support and dragging his feet down the hall. "Fine. I can walk by myself."
He had meant to apologize to her but instead got his own words thrown back at him. He guesses he deserved that.
X
Stepping out of the shower and changed into a clean pair of shorts and shirt she quickly made her way to his room to make sure he was ok since it's already been a while. After a few knocks and no response, she grew worried, turning the knob and peeking her head in. "Bakugo?"
Gasping, she quickly stepped inside crouching down next to him on the floor. From the looks of it, he did manage to at least shower and put on a pair of shorts and tank top before he collapsed.
"Can you hear me?!"
Hearing him mumble she let out a breath of relief at his obvious state of sleep. Carefully floating him to his bed she gently covered him with a blanket while he continued to murmur things she couldn't quite make out.
"Alright, I'll be right back." Turning, she felt him grab her wrist before she even managed to get up.
"Don't go." Glancing down at his hand she saw him slowly lift his heavy eyelids with a quiet voice. "Stay."
"But you're not ok."
"I just…need…a minute." He lazily grinned. "Trust me this isn't the first time."
Seeing the way his cheeks looked rosy and the sweat on his face, she timidly placed her hand on his forehead ignoring the satisfied hum coming from him. "Bakugo…you're really hot."
"Thanks." Grinning from ear to ear he continued to lazily watch her.
Rolling her eyes, she continued to check him. "N-no I mean you might be running a fever."
"It's fine. I just need sleep."
"What's going on? You guys are making it sound like this is normal."
Closing his eyes, he leaned into her hand like a small child would. "Your hand feels so nice."
"Tell me." She gently brushed his bangs aside knowing he wasn't clearly himself. "Does this happen often?"
"No." he exhaled dramatically. "Just once in a while when I'm under too much stress or overexert myself. It's a drawback of my quirk. My body just starts to overheat."
"So that's what Recovery girl meant." She said to herself. "I think it'll be best if I take you back to the infirmary."
"No, it would just be the same thing there. I rather be here…" he said, opening his eyes to stare at her as if he was mesmerized. "Damn…you're so pretty angel face."
"And your obviously delusional right now." She tugged a piece of hair behind her ear hoping he wouldn't see her blush.
"There it is." He smirked before he started shivering.
He slept for a few minutes at least but tossed and turned, breathing heavily while he continued to burn up. She tried to bring the fever down by placing a cold washcloth on his forehead while he continued to murmur and groan half asleep.
Already mentally freaking out, she was surprised when he suddenly opened his eyes. "Ok Bakugo let's get you to-"
Shaking his head, he pointed to the bathroom, already trying to get himself up. Jumping to her feet, she tried to help him up but wasn't prepared for him to fall over her and land on her back with him on top, briefly knocking the air out of her before using her quirk. "OOPH!"
"Is this heaven?" me murmured face down next to her ear.
"No." she managed to breathe out until she froze. "Wait Bakugo…are you smelling my hair?"
"Maybe…"
Rolling her eyes, she slowly maneuvered him off, so she had a better hold of him before releasing her quirk.
"Did I ever tell you how fuckin good you smell?" he chuckled, playfully twirling a strand of her brown hair in his finger.
"You don't mean that. Besides most likely you won't remember any of this." She hoped.
"The hell I won't!"
Stepping inside the bathroom he felt the whole room begin to spin, sweating buckets and feeling like he was burning from the inside until he rushed over to the toilet clutching his abdomen and letting everything out. "Shit." Feeling another wave come on, he snapped his eyes shut tight feeling her gently rub his back. "Now this part I really hope neither of us remembers…"
Hearing her giggle, he gave a small smile. "Don't laugh at a sick person round-face. That's fuckin rude as hell."
"Now he's sick." She mumbled to herself.
Leaning his forehead against the cold porcelain he let out a frustrated groan. "I feel like shit." He weakly said his voice raw and strained.
Turning, he looked at her with tired eyes gesturing to the sink. Helping him up she gawked as he sluggishly started brushing his teeth. "You've got to be kidding me!"
Finding it hard to both talk and clean his mouth at the moment, he glared at her. "Hygiene is very important, and I will kill all those damn germs just watch me." He gave a weak grin feeling the room spin once again. "Now hold still and be my crutch."
"Seriously?"
"Shit even Deku wasn't as talkative when he was my damn crutch." He chuckled when he saw her puff her cheeks out.
"You should be in bed right now." Dumbfounded, she saw him repeatedly rinse his mouth making sure to get everything out before he smirked proud of himself. "Look you're still burning up."
"Over..." He nodded towards the tub which she understood.
"Got it." Filling it up she didn't see him start to take his shirt off until she turned and felt her face heat up turning back around. "What are you doing?!"
"Water."
"Just keep it on!"
"And my shorts?"
"Those too please! I'll just get you something dry after." She quickly placed him inside.
"Ok nurse UR-RA-RA-KA. So bossy…"
"Stop that." She glared watching him grin. 'This can't be happening to me?!' she mentally screamed walking over to his dresser, closing her eyes and getting a dry shirt, sweatpants and she gulped down hard. 'boxers?!'
Shuffling back to the bathroom she saw his head slouched to the side. "Hey, is that better?"
"uh-huh…" he murmured feeling drowsy. "You know this is good practice."
Huffing out a tired breath, she carefully sat on the rim of the tub. "For what?"
Chuckling, he closed his eyes feeling relaxed. "For when we're old and wrinkly."
"Hmm." Averting her eyes and ignoring the pink dusted her cheeks, she occupied herself with looking around the bathroom.
"It's true. I'll take care of you, and you'll take care of me…"
Feeling her chest warm she shook her head checking his temperature instead. "Yeah, because you're so easy to handle even when you're not sick." She crossed her arms and saw him smirk, making her clear her throat. "Bakugo, why didn't you tell me about this?" she said softly.
Wanting to shrug his shoulders but feeling his own body unwilling to listen, he hated feeling like he couldn't do anything for himself at the moment, so he settled for slouching down in the tub. Now if only the room would stop spinning… "Because this is some weak shit." He grumbled.
Studying him for a moment she leaned back against the wall. "Everyone get's sick you know."
"Tch."
After a few more minutes went by, she felt herself almost dosing off at the comfortable silence until she looked up to see him watching her with a dazed look on his face. Checking him again she nodded. "Ok you feel better, let's get you out."
Letting him use her for balance as he dressed, she closed her eyes and had a towel to cover his waist. 'You could never be too careful.' She was grateful when he was done and helped him get to bed, making sure to have a glass of water on his nightstand.
Thankful for the fact that his temperature seemed to have gone down she could still see him struggling to get comfortable. Without thinking she found herself playing with his soft, thick ash blond hair like her mom used to do to soothe her back to sleep, to which he didn't seem to mind smiling every once in a while.
"I was right. This is heaven…" He lazy drew out. "And I'm sorry for being so mad at you."
Silently staring at him, she looked down after a minute until she felt movement, making her look up just in time for him to carefully cup her right cheek and softly press his lips to hers for a tender kiss. Feeling her eyelids briefly flutter shut at that familiar sensation of what she's been missing for so long, and the warm and soft feel of his lips before he pulled away, letting their lips slowly part ways as if they themselves were reluctant to let go.
"Bakugo…" biting her lip as she slowly opened her eyes but saw that he had already fallen asleep.
It was crazy how much those few seconds could mean to her, but at the same time she knew that it shouldn't since he wasn't in his right mind and probably didn't realize what he was doing.
Watching him sleep she checked him again, wondering the same thing she always did. How peaceful he looked while he slept. "Even when you're sick, you're still a handful." She gave a small smile moving his hair out of his face, humming softly to help him sleep.
X
Bakugo was having a good dream, a great dream or at least he thought it was a dream. But unlike all the others he's had ever since entering UA which still included her, this one felt different.
Groaning, he slowly came back to consciousness as he groggily opened his eyes with his vision still blurred, but he could've sworn he saw her sitting there smiling at him. "Angel face?"
"Um no…but I am flattered."
"Hah?" Through the haze he rapidly blinked trying to clear his vision. "Shitty hair?"
Chuckling Kirishima grinned sitting next to his bed. "Not that I mind the compliment, but you seemed really out of it man. So, I'll that slide."
"What the hell are you even talking about?" Placing his palm on his throbbing head he stared at the ceiling. "Guess I must've been dreaming."
"You seriously don't remember anything from yesterday?" Kirishima asked, handing him a glass of water which he gratefully gulped down feeling his throat dry. "You looked pretty sick."
Furrowing his brows, he tried to remember what happened. "No. last thing I remember I was coming back here after pissing off round-face-"
"Which you tend to do."
Scowling at the smug look on his friend's face Bakugo slowly sat up. "Took a shower…"
"Together?!" Kirishima lifted his eyebrows in surprised before grinning. "Dude, I didn't know you had it in ya!"
Feeling himself blush Bakugo glared menacingly at the red head. "No! I took a shower by myself!"
"Well, that explains why you're so cranky." Leaning back in his seat Kirishima crossed his arms enjoying the look on his face. "Relax bro I'm just messing with you." 'Kinda.' He finished in his head with a small smile. Not that he was an expert or anything, but after being in a relationship with Mina he started to realize what he'd been missing out on. And it wasn't just physical but emotional too, so he could understand what his buddy must be going through feeling so deeply for someone, but unlike himself not being able to act on it at the moment. Pulled out of his thoughts at the sneeze he heard, Kirishima grinned.
"What? Does Bakugo have the sniffles?"
"Fuck off."
Lifting his hands in surrender he chuckled. "Alright so you don't remember anything after that?"
Shaking his head Bakugo removed the covers placing his feet on the ground. "Wait, did you change my clothes?"
"Dude no!" Kirishima grimaced. "I just got here a few minutes ago to check up on you since it's 9:00 am already. No one was here when I came, and you looked normal except you were talking in your sleep." Kirishima said leaving out the part where Uraraka was the one that told him that Bakugo must still be asleep when he asked.
"Oh hell." Swiftly getting to his feet Bakugo wobbled for a fraction of a minute before grabbing a fresh pair of clothes and heading for the bathroom. He couldn't believe it was the next day already and way past the time he usually woke up. He had a lot of catching up to do.
Still somewhat groggy from the day before, by the time both boys stepped out of the elevator, they saw most of their classmates watching tv or lazy enjoying their Saturday morning.
"Ooh what smells so good?" Kirishima smiled sniffing the air and Bakugo could've sworn he saw his friend floating towards the kitchen as he followed hearing his stomach growl not having eaten anything since lunch yesterday.
However as soon as they entered the kitchen what he didn't expect to find was Deku, Todoroki and Uraraka with the last two huddled over the stove laughing while Deku was busy looking through the cabinets.
'Of fuckin course.' With his eye twitching at the sight, he turned to leave but was stopped by Kirishima who draped his arm over his shoulder. "Shitty hair…" he lowly growled.
"No bro." He said only for them to hear before dragging him over. "Something sure smells good!'
Looking up from his task Deku smiled. "Hey guys, Uraraka's making pancakes."
"Yeah, you guys want some?" she said keeping her eyes on the pan but felt Todoroki shuffling next to her turning to lean against the counter.
"If it's no trouble." Kirishima said.
"It's fine, we're making enough for everyone." She gestured to a few plates stacked with pancakes.
"Kacchan what about you?" Deku lifted his brow.
"Not hungry."
Happily walking to one of the plates Kirishima grabbed one making sure to take a large bite in front of the blond and with an exaggerated groan of satisfaction. "MAN, these taste SO GOOD!" he grinned, making her smile as she turned back to the stove. Waving it in front of the blond Kirishima smirked. "And you can't have any."
Smacking his hand away Bakugo glared at a chuckling Kirishima. Oh, how much he wanted to blast that look off his face!
"Hey Uraraka, are these ready to go?" Deku asked holding a stack of plates and utensils.
"Yeah, thanks Deku." She grinned. "Just be careful."
Pushing off the counter Todoroki picked up some of the pancakes that were ready. "I'll give you a hand."
Pressing her lips together, Uraraka gave Todoroki a discreet glare informing him that she knew what he was doing to which in turn made him place his hand on top of her head with a slight grin before leaving. "Traitor…"
"I'll help out too! Thanks Uraraka." Kirishima said, picking up another plate and headed out the door hearing the rest of the class cheer outside the kitchen.
Squinting his eyes and rubbing his head, Bakugo awkwardly walked over to the sink to wash his hands. "Need help?"
Shaking her head, she gave him a small smile. "I've got it thanks; this is the last one anyways."
Wiping his hands dry he slowly walked to lean against the counter next to her gripping the edge and clearing his throat. "So… Shitty hair told me you got offered to do your work studies at Endeavors."
Taking a peek at him she nodded. "Yeah."
"You gonna take it?"
Shrugging her shoulders, she flipped the pancake over. "Not sure yet."
Nodding he stared hard at the ground floor. "Know you've probably gotten a lot of offers…but I think you should think about it."
"You think I should take it?" she tiled her head questioningly.
"Why the hell not? If it'll benefit you then why not take advantage of it." He said giving her a sideways glance.
Staring at him for a moment she understood what he meant and appreciated him telling her that he didn't mind if she was there. "Thanks Bakugo."
Nervously rubbing his neck, he saw her turn the pan off placing the last pancake on the last stack. "By the way, I wanted to apologize about before-and I know you don't want to talk about it." He quickly added. "But I am."
"Me too…" she quietly said seeing him silently nodding and still surprised that he'd want to apologize.
"And I also wanted to say…thanks." When he saw the confused look on her face he continued. "About yesterday, making sure I got back to the dorms…and for…" Pulling out his black drumsticks from his pocket. "These. You really didn't have to."
"I um…not sure what you mean." She quickly said keeping herself busy by placing the pan along with the rest of the utensils in the sink to wash, ignoring him staring at her unconvinced. "There's pancakes if you want."
Scoffing, he looked back at the counter. "What about those?" He pointed at a plate with what he could only assume to be once pancakes crushed at their prime.
Feeling her cheeks warm out of embarrassment, she had forgotten about them. "Those erm…where the first few batches…"
Smirking, he tilted his head. "How the hell can you fuck up pancakes?"
Puffing out her cheeks she dangerously narrowed her eyes. "Well not everyone can be chefs in the kitchen Bakugo, and I know how to make at least a few things."
"And it's not my damn fault you idiots don't know your way around the kitchen." He grumbled snatching one of the cleaned plates from her hand and drying it. "What?"
"N-nothing." She said washing the next one as he snatched it from her drying it too.
"At least they're not sandwiches." he quietly said smirking down at the sink and remembering his conversation with her dad.
Gaping at him she shook her head. 'No, there's no way he would know.'
Clearing her throat, she finished cleaning the pan which he dried. "You seem to look better today."
"I guess." He shrugged. "Not like I was fuckin sick to begin with."
"Right." She said yawning.
"What did you forget to sleep or some shit?"
"No." she shook her head wiping her hand dry.
After she had made sure he was fine she continuously made it a point to check in on him throughout the night in case the fever came back. But thankfully it never did and apparently, he didn't remember anything either. Which didn't help the still lingering feeling of the small kiss yesterday, so when Shoji came in with some empty plates, she took the opportunity to leave. "I'll be back, just leave the plates by the sink and I'll get to it Shoji."
Blinking at her retrieving form Bakugo saw Shoji waiting expectingly for him. "What?" Gesturing to the sink Bakugo was blocking, he quickly moved aside. "You know you could've just said something!"
"Aren't you going to eat?"
Huffing, Bakugo opened his mouth to answer until his eyes landed on the small stack of 'pancakes' next to the stove.

Sitting outside one of the tables, Bakugo scrolled through his phone taking another bite of his breakfast while some of his friends took advantage of the burning sun in the pool. To be honest he wasn't sure if eating this was a good idea for his stomach since he was just getting out of being sick, but the hell did he care, this actually tasted really good!
Every so often he would catch one of the guys trying to snatch one but not before he would smack their hands away yelling that this was his.
"You're so greedy." Kaminari whined placing his chin on the table.
"Your ass already had some Sparky! This is mine!"
"And this wouldn't have anything to do with…" Gulping down Kaminari didn't dare finish the sentence when Bakugo settled him with a warning look, instead briskly getting up to join Sero and Sato at the pool.
"Idiots." He mumbled before gobbling up the rest of his breakfast. 'Holy hell these are good.'
