Chapter 12: Entering the Web
"Hatred is nothing but the place where men who can't deal with sadness go." - Godo
NinjaFang1331: Thank you
Robbeeyy: Wise words my friend, wise words indeed.
blaiseingfire: hopefully they have some Raid on hand indeed, because this is a large nest of spiders. JKRZ is just my own spelling for JNRZ, but on the team, it's Jaune, Neon, Reese, and May Z. I got inspired by a few stories that write about JNRZ but I wanted the team with a different spelling so I came up with JKRZ (Jokers).
Nice2: Totally agree we need an MC to kill someone for the reasons you said, and while it might seem a bit out there for the show, I think it'll work because it goes to show that the characters really care deeply for each other that they are willing to actually kill someone to protect another character, also, Yeah blake and Yang did already kill, but why only those two and was Ruby really ok with her sister killing someone? Like they just skipped some potential sister drama! Oscar is going to be joining Jaune and Vernal on their journey (as will many other characters along the way). Oh yeah, Jaune and Vernal's bond is really going to be strengthening in this Act. I understand where your coming from, Jaune doesn't have his own perspective as of now, and that's kind of the point, Jaune is still a teenager, he's emotional and still finding his own path and perspective, much like many characters who he's based on in the story (I.E. Guts, Miyamoto, and Thorfinn.) and like those 3, he's still finding his way. Can't spoil anything but these experiences will have an effect on his Semblance~! But yes, trust me, both the JaunexWinter Story and the JauneXIlia story are in the works and will be some amazing stories with what I have planned out! Plus I'm thinking of doing some other crack ship stories!
NullProxy: Thank you for your vote!
Update 9:
It seems like most of you have voted on "The Soldier & The Knight Pt.1" which actually helps me a lot because I'm still planning out the two other stories, "In It Together" (Which may or may not get reworked and get a new title for the 3rd time) and "JKRZ".
I got really inspired because WinterKnight is one of my favorite ships and I absolutely fell in love with the Plot that I came up with and the planning of each chapter, which unfortunately took my time away from planning the other stories.
I am still going to make these stories, just not as soon as I thought I would, but with "The Soldier & The Knight Pt.1" being the winner, it helps me focus on that story while I plan and refine the other two.
I should also mention that if you read some of my other stories, some will be put on hold due to me feeling somewhat lost on them, they're not abandoned, simply put on hold.
These will be the stories that Are gonna have my main focus due to them being more planned out:
Sunshine
Jaune's Multiverse Madness!
ENEMY
Warriors
Forever Fall
These stories will be my main focus as well as "The Soldier & The Knight Pt.1" when it's released (still writing and refining the first chapter). And if you're interested, go check out those stories as well!
Anyway, thank you all and I hope you enjoy today's Chapter!

A week had passed since Melissa's death and the burning of the farm, and right now in a clearing just a few miles outside the nearest town, Vernal and Oscar were training with their weapons.
After they had left the farm, Oscar wanted a weapon since, and when they went to another Mecha-shift shop, Oscar wanted a sword, and he looked through the swords and picked one. The tassel was a dark green color, the grip of the sword was wrapped in bright orange ribbon, the guard was square-like and was black with dark green markings on it, the fuller of the blade was black while the edges of the blade were dark green.
Once he got his sword, he wanted his Aura unlocked and Jaune agreed and unlocked his like he did Vernal, and when Oscar's aura was unlocked it was a nice dark green color, and with a weapon and his aura unlocked, Jaune and Vernal both agreed to train him and Oscar thanked them
In the clearing, Oscar was thrown to the other side of the clearing and he fell hard onto the ground but didn't let go of his sword.
Vernal looked over to him with her daggers at the ready, "Come on Oscar, is that all you got?" Vernal asked with a smile.
Hearing her mocking tone caused a scowl to form on the young boy's face, and when he got back up, he glared at Vernal and then charged at her, and he thrust his sword at her, but Vernal easily side-stepped the attack and used the pommel of her dagger to hit him in the lower back, and Oscar groaned in pain and quickly turned around and swung at Vernal wildly, but the ex-bandit dodged and deflected all of the swings with ease.
'He's too brash, he's letting his anger get the better of him, and control his actions,' Vernal thought.
Vernal deflected one of Oscar's swings and then swing at him and the young man barely managed to dodge the attack, but Vernal raised her foot and kicked Oscar in the stomach, sending the young boy backward and he tried to regain his composure, but Vernal then swung at him with both daggers hitting him, and then she proceeded to unleash a fury of slashes, hitting the young boy more times then he could count. Oscar couldn't do anything, he even managed to back away and gain some distance in order to see her attacks and compose himself, but even then, Vernal was too fast and too skillful for him.
Vernal slashed Oscar upward across the chest and then she kicked him in the left side and finally sent him to the ground.
Oscar groaned in pain and before he could get back up, Vernal shifted her dagger into the pistol and shot at his feet, stopping him in his tracks, and he looked up at the older teen as she smirked at him.
Oscar let out a sigh, "You win," He told her.
Vernal shifted the pistol back into a dagger and sheathed her weapons, and then she held out her hands for Oscar to take, and when he grabbed her arm, she pulled him up to his feet.
Vernal looked down at the younger teen, "Do you know why I won?" Vernal asked.
Oscar looked down and shook his head.
"Because you were too emotional," Vernal told him, "Your anger got the best of you, and because of that you weren't focused on when and where to strike or when to block and evade, you only cared if you managed to hit me in any possible way," Vernal said.
Oscar then looked at her, "Isn't that the point though?" he asked, "Just hit them before they hit you?"
"If you wanna be like every tough guy and gangbanger out there," Vernal said, "If you wanna learn how to fight, really fight like how Jaune and I do, then you need to learn how to control your emotions, know when to attack and know when to defend," Vernal told him.
Oscar looked at her with a confused expression, "How am I supposed to do any of that?" Oscar asked.
Vernal smiled at him, "With training," she said as she ruffled his hair, but he pushed her hand away playfully. "With time, you'll understand Oscar," She told him.
Oscar just let out a long sigh, "Yeah... whatever," Oscar muttered as he sheathed his sword behind him and walked away.
Vernal watched as he walked away with a bleak expression and then let out a sigh. She knew he was holding in a lot of pain and he was sad about Melissa and angry at the world as well as Little Miss, and she couldn't blame him, he had every right to be angry, but... this mission of revenge they all agreed on, Vernal began to regret it because if they continued on this road, Oscar's soul would blacken more then it already has. That's something Vernal didn't want to happen, not to someone so young, she didn't want him to go down the same path she and Jaune already started, she and Jaune could have left him in the hands of an orphanage, but they made a promise to Melissa... and she intended to keep it.
"Hey, you two,"
Vernal was taken out of her thoughts as she turned to see Jaune walking toward them wearing his black cloak, a dull expression gracing the young man's features. Since they had burned the farm down, Jaune hasn't smiled or even laughed, he was just gloomy, they all were, but she tried to keep the morale up.
"A- Jaune, how'd it go in town?" she asked, "You get those tickets?" she asked.
Jaune nodded and went into his right pocket and pulled out 3 tickets for a bullhead ride to Mistral City.
Vernal smiled softly, "Finally, now we don't have to keep walking," She said.
Jaune nodded in agreement, and then he looked passed Vernal to see Oscar sitting down and looking at whatever was on his scroll, and then he looked away from him and back to Vernal. "How'd training go?" he asked.
"Ok," Vernal said with a sigh, "He's too emotional, and he swings wildly, if he gets into a real fight he might get hurt," Vernal said.
Jaune also let out a sigh, "Then we have to teach him to control his emotions and keep a clear head," Jaune said.
Vernal smiled, "This coming from Mr. Berserk," she said with a chuckle.
"touche," Jaune replied with a glare, "But we don't want him being like me, do we?" Jaune told her.
Vernal winced on the inside and quickly felt bad for her comment, "Jaune I-"
Jaune closed his eyes and shook his head, "No, No, I... I know you were just trying to joke around and I shouldn't have taken it so seriously," Jaune told her, "I just... I'm tired," he told her as he looked down.
Vernal nodded slowly and she placed her hand on his shoulder, and he looked back at her. "I know you are, we all are," Vernal stated, "But we have to keep moving forward, right?"
The young knight nodded, "Yeah, you're right," Jaune said.
Vernal smiled and gave him a quick nod, and she removed her hand from his shoulder and put it on her hip, "So, when do we leave?" she asked.
"an hour from now," Jaune replied, "So we better get packed and head back to the town,"
Vernal nodded and went to go grab her things and Jaune walked over to Oscar, and when he was right in front of the boy, the younger teen looked up at the blonde.
"Are we leaving?" Oscar asked.
Jaune nodded, "Yep, do you got your stuff?" He asked
Oscar gave him a nod back and He got up and grabbed his bag and waited for Jaune and Vernal, and as he waited, Jaune saw the saw sad expression on the farm boy's face shift from sad to a look of determination. The determination to head to Mistral and kill Little Miss and Jaune felt terrible, as he was the one who really started this all, he told Oscar that he would hunt after Spider if that's what he really wanted, and that is what he wanted, and Jaune wanted the same thing too, but he regretted the choice he had made because he feels like he is the one that will blacken Oscar's soul and guide him down a more terrible path.
Once they were all packed, the three of them walked down the road and made it to the town, and then headed straight for the Bullhead docks, and they saw a few take up, but thankfully not the one they needed to get on, and they came across the one they needed to get on and they decided to board early, and they showed the attendant their tickets and they were allowed onto the Bullhead, and once they boarded, they saw that another person was already inside.
It was an elderly woman with dark skin and long silver hair, which she wore in a single braid down her back, she was of small stature and appeared to be hunched over, requiring the use of a walking stick. she wore a full-length dress in the traditional Tabasco style, consisting of a dark blue top with full sleeves, a skirt comprised of alternating light and dark blue layers, and in addition to her dress, she also wore a pair of thick brown gloves and a heavy blue cloak trimmed at the edges with a pattern of white, hollow triangles on a light blue background, and there was a similar white and blue trim is around the neck of the cloak, which was secured to her shoulders with ornate white pauldrons.
What really made her stand out was the goggle-like prosthetics over her eyes. The prosthetic was dark gray with cyan-colored lenses, each of which is equipped with a set of adjustable shutters capable of mimicking natural expressions, and four rectangular cyan lights create a partial ring on the outer bottom edge of the eyes, while a single cyan nodule on the top outer edge overlaps slightly with each lens, and two small antennae protrude vertically from the upper left side of the prosthesis.
"Looks like I wasn't the only one with the bright idea of getting on early," She said with a smile.
"Looks like it," aune replied.
"Well, well, well, aren't you a handsome one," She said, still smiling. "You must be a huntsman, correct?" She asked.
Jaune nodded, "Yeah, you could say that," Jaune replied.
The elderly woman then turned to Vernal, "So that makes you his partner, right?"
"Yeah," Vernal replied with a nod.
"Oh, well your also quite the looker," she told Vernal, "Tell me, are you partners or you partners?" She asked.
knowing what she was hinting at, s small blush formed on Vernal's cheeks, "No... nothing like that," She replied.
"Ah, what a shame," She said, "You two seem like you'd be a lovely couple," She finished.
Jaune and Vernal could help but blush lightly at her words as they looked away from each other. The old woman cackled a little before turning to Oscar.
She smiled at the younger teen, "You look a little young to be a Huntsman," She stated.
Oscar looked at her with a small nervous expression, "I-I'm training to be one," Oscar responded.
She nodded, "Ah, that makes more sense," She said, "Ah, how could I be so rude, the name's Maria Calavera, a pleasure," the elderly woman, Maria, introduced herself.
"I'm Oscar Pine," Oscar told her.
Vernal looked back at Maria, "Name's Vernal," she replied.
Jaune also looked back at Maria, "Jaune Arc," the young knight told her.
Maria smiled at them, "Well, it's always nice to see young Huntsmen," Maria told them, "So, why are you all going to Mistral? Do you attend there?"
Jaune shook his head, "No," Jaune said.
"Visiting family?" Maria asked.
"No," Jaune replied again, "We're going there for business," Jaune said.
"Really?" Maria asked.
Jaune nodded.
Maria was silent as she looked at Jaune before she smiled at him, "I see... a Huntsman's job is never over, eh?" She asked the young man.
Jaune looked at her and nodded slowly, and the conversation ended there.
Finally, after an hour's flight, Jaune, Vernal, and Oscar arrived in the city and quickly looked for a nearby hotel, and thankfully, the three of them managed to find one in the part of the city where most of the gangs within Mistral were located to said to be.
In the room they had booked, Oscar sat on the first bed and Vernal sat on the 2nd bed and stood next to the window, taking quick glances out of it in case they may have been watched when they got off the Bullhead. Call it paranoia, but if they found Melissa in Matsunoki, they could find them here, so they needed to be careful because they were now in unknown enemy territory.
Vernal looked over at Jaune, "Any idea's on how we're gonna find Spider?" Vernal asked.
Jaune turned to look back at her, "It shouldn't be hard to find a member, they wear colors that represent their gang, like a uniform, so if we see someone with pink and purple colors, we could follow them and so if we see where they lead us, but we don't engage, we need a plan," Jaune replied.
"Of course," Vernal replied, "If we ask questions or just go in guns blazing we'll lose,"
"Why?"
The two turned to Oscar who had his fist balled up, "You two are huntsmen! They're just a couple of gangsters! They don't know how to fight!" Oscar cried, "So why not just go in there and kill them all!?" Oscar cried.
"Oscar, it's not that simple," Jaune told him.
"BULLSHIT!" Oscar cried, "You two are Huntsmen! I've seen you both kill Grimm with ease! How hard can a couple of gangsters be!?" Oscar asked.
"The Grimm are a bunch of mindless beasts, they aren't like people, Oscar," Vernal said, "If we go in there without a plan, they could gang up on us and kill us, they are a rather small gang compared to the rest in the city, but that doesn't make them any less powerful," Vernal finished
"We need to know how many of them there are, how to strike, and when," Jaune told him, "We're not fighting mindless beasts, we're facing a small yet powerful gang organization that has a lot of people in it, this isn't something we can just go into,"
Oscar growled and he stood up and looked at them, "Fine! I'll go and do it myself!" He cried as he ran to the door and then ran out of the apartment.
Jaune and Vernal's eyes widened as they quickly chased after him, hoping to stop him before he did anything stupid, and they saw Oscar take the elevator and they quickly ran after him down the stairs, but when they made it to the lobby, they had lost sight of him as the elevator reached the ground floor before they did.
"Damn it!" Jaune cried.
He ran out of the building hoping to find Oscar out in the streets, and Vernal followed after him, but there was still no sign of him, no doubt lost in the sea of people and they agreed t split up and look for him.
However, they had failed to notice a certain old woman in the lobby who had seen where Oscar had run off to, and she got up from her chair and went in the direction the young boy had run in.
"Children these days," She began, "Just can't stay out of trouble,"

It was now dark in Mistral City, and in a bar called "Widows Tuffet", is where the Spider Gang was located and acted as their main headquarters, and inside, something was happening. Five gangsters entered the bar and walked toward a rectangular table that was set in the far back, and one sat at the table, but two others stood on both sides of the person who sat at the table.
One of the five subordinates walked forward and stood across from the person who sat down.
"She's dead, Miss," They told the person in the chair.
"Are you sure she's dead?"
Across from the gangster, sat a rather plump middle-aged woman sat at a desk as she looked a five of her subordinates. This was none other than Lil' Miss Malachite, the current leader of Spider.
Lil' Miss had light skin and short blonde hair kept in a bob haircut. She had a spider in its web tattooed on her left shoulder, a beauty mark under her right eye, lipstick on her upper lip, and purple nail polish on her fingernails. The top of her dress is white and backless, with long sleeves and details, such as beads and straps, in purple, and below is a purple corset, and a long pleated skirt that is yellow on its top layer, purple in the middle one, and white in the lower layer, and her shoes are brown and decorated with green ribbons.
The main subordinate of the group looked at his boss and nodded, "Yes Miss, though, her place was burned down and we paid off the coroner to tell us the details to make sure it was her and they confirmed it, but we still don't know what happened to our men," They told her.
Lil Miss sighed, "Those huntsmen she was with must have killed them and burned the place down, a burial of sorts I'm sure," She told them, "Where did they go?" she asked.
"We don't know," They replied. "We even paid off one of the cops here to look into any huntsmen matching the description of the two that were with her, but no Huntsman or Huntsmen in training were found,"
Lil Miss sighed, "Might just be vagabonds looking for work and were simply trained, I'm sure they won't be a problem, I'm sure they know who we are and won't start anything," She replied, "What about her nephew? Where is he?"
The subordinate shrugged, "Can't find him either, we couldn't find his name in any of the foster homes, but I'm sure he might be dead as well, he could have burned up faster than his aunt, and I doubt two randoms strangers are going to look after a kid," they replied.
Lil Miss processed this information, and she was in agreement, two vagabond workers weren't going to look after some kid they only knew for a month, and if there was no listing of the Nephew in any of the foster homes, then he was for sure dead, and yet... a part of her didn't believe it, the lack of a body made her question of the boy was dead, but even if he was alive, he couldn't do a thing to her and her gang, he was just another kid, a child that would remain angry but couldn't do a thing to hurt her.
Lil Miss just nodded, "All that's good to hear, but check about the nephew again just in case, I don't like unknowns, but if you find nothing, let me know and we'll leave it at he's dead," She replied.
The subordinate nodded and he and his group walked away, and Lil Miss closed her eyes and let out a sigh, and somewhat relaxed in her chair, she opened her eyes and looked at one of her trusted advisors and told them she was going to head up to her office and they nodded and promised to watch over things in the bar and with a nod in reply, and she stood up and made her way up to her office. Once inside, she sat at her desk and her eyes quickly fell onto a picture that was kept in a frame, and she picked it up and smiled at it softly, and it brought back joyful memories.
The picture was of her husband, who had their daughters when they were simply 4 hanging off his arms as he smiled at the camera and the girls did as well. She missed her husband dearly, but now, she missed her daughters much more, they were another kingdom away and working for a business partner and from what she heard, they were safe, though she was told by Hei that they were roughed up by a huntress, thankfully, they were not severely injured, which made her happy.
But she wanted them to come home, to see them once again and tell them that their father was avenged, but they couldn't come back, not yet. She still had enemies in Mistral, and it was too dangerous for them, and with that thought, she let out a long and sad sigh.
'One day, girls,' She thought, 'One day you can come home and we'll be a family again,' She told herself.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Lil Miss, just a few blocks from her bar, hid in the shadows as he looked across the street to see two Spider members talking and smoking as if they were two regular people talking on a calm and peaceful night.
Oscar grits his teeth as he watched them, his anger growing and growing. 'Jaune and Vernal are just scared! But I'm not! They're gonna pay for what they did!' Oscar swore to himself, 'THEY ARE GONNA PAY!' He cried once more to himself.
Oscar grabbed his sword from behind his back and began to pull it out, but he was stopped by someone also grabbing the handle of his sword, and for a split second, his heart stopped and his blood ran cold.
"You don't want to do it, young man," came a voice, "If it's revenge you want, now is not the time, so let go and don't do anything stupid,"
Oscar thought about it and he wanted to ignore the voice behind him and pull out his sword and kill the two gangsters across the street, but he... he did as the voice said and let go of the handle of his sword and turned around to see who it was that had stopped him, only to be stunned to see the old woman he had met on the Bullhead, Maria.
"M-Maria?" He asked.
The old woman smiled at the young teen, "Glad you remembered me," she said, "Now, why don't you and I have a little chat, eh?" She asked.
Maria began to walk away and Oscar followed her, and they walked down the street for a few minutes before Maria stopped and sat on a nearby bench and Oscar stood there for a bit before he took a seat next to her.
"How did you find me?" Oscar asked.
Maria shrugged, "I don't know what you're talking about, I'm just an old lady going out for a walk," She replied.
Oscar wanted to pry more but Maria stopped him by holding up a finger.
"What brings you out here, trying to kill two gang members of Spider?" She asked.
"Does it matter?" He asked harshly
Maria nodded, "It does," She replied, "You have no idea what will happen to your soul if you kill for revenge," She told him.
Oscar was a bit surprised that the old woman had figured out his motivation, "How did you-?"
Maria chuckled, "When you lived as long as I have and seen so many things, you know when someone seeks revenge, you can see it in their eyes," She told him.
Oscar was a bit confused, "Their eyes?" he asked.
Maria nodded, "There's a certain fire in their eyes, a fire born from anger and hatred, a fire can't be put out easily,"
Oscar gripped his hands together, "If I kill Spider, I won't have that... fire," he said.
"That's what you think, but it's not that simple... that hate you feel never leaves you," Maria told the young teen. She then turned to him, "Tell me, Oscar... do you hate Spider?" Miria asked
"Yeah," Oscar said as he balled his hands together.
"You hate them all, huh?" She asked.
Oscar grits his teeth and his anger grew.
"You want them to suffer and be in as much pain as you are in, don't you?" Maria asked again.
"YES!" Oscar cried out with a furious tone, "I WANT THEM TO HURT! I WANT THEM TO BE IN AS MUCH PAIN AS I AM IN! I. WANT. THEM. TO. PAY!" Oscar cried out.
Maria looked at him with a bleak expression. "Hm," Miria hummed, "Your young... so very young that you've got a bright future ahead of you, and that hate that you carry in your heart... it'll turn you sour, it'll consume you if you let it, Oscar,"
Oscar looked at her with a confused yet angry look, "How would you know?" he asked sternly.
Maria sighed and looked to the sky, "I once felt just like you when I lost my eyes, but I had already killed the person who took them, but I still wanted revenge, but there was nothing to satisfy me, and my anger, so I was angry at the world and in my job I sought out people I could take my anger out on, but I never felt satisfied, nothing could satiate my hatred..." Maria told him, "But eventually, someone who cared for me deeply pulled me out of my anger, someone who I cared deeply for as well, and they helped me see the light, but my hands were already stained in blood and realized that I stayed angry because I could not stand my sadness, and I realized that I needed to atone, so I tried to be a better person, I tried to be a much kinder person... I still am," Maria told him.
Oscar was taken aback by her story and he could not help but feel the impact of the story she told him.
Maria smiled and turned back to him, "I learned that hate is a place that we all go to when we can not stand our own sadness," Maria said, "But we have to face that sadness, young man, either for ourselves or for the ones we love, like those two that you were with, they must really care about you if they are willing to follow you and stain their hands with blood," She told him.
Oscar's eyes widened in shock as he realized she was right, Jaune and Vernal were willing to do this for him even though they knew it was going to hurt them in the process, that it was going to make their hands bloody.
Oscar stopped hammering and looked to Jaune, "I... I wonder how people deal with it," Oscar asked sadly but returned to hammering in the nails.
"Deal with what?" Jaune asked.
"Killing someone," Oscar replied
"It isn't easy," Jaune replied. "Trust me,"
Oscar stopped and glanced at Jaune with a look of realization. "Jaune, have you... have you killed anyone before,"
Jaune turned to him, a serious look in his eyes, "Yes," Jaune said.
"But you... you had a good reason, right?" Oscar asked. "Jaune? You did have a good reason, right?" Oscar asked again.
"I don't think I did," Jaune replied.
"Vernal, what uh... what it is like?" Oscar began, "taking a life I mean..." the young boy finished.
Vernal looked at him with a serious and sad look on her face, she took in a deep breath and then exhaled and kneeled in front of the boy, "Oscar, I want to first say that I hope and to pray to whatever gods that you don't have to take a life at your age because when you take a life, any life, it blackens your soul," Vernal replied, "The first man I killed was... was someone who hurt me, so when I killed him, I felt free, I felt better then I had in years, but when I began to hurt innocent people, I... I felt sick, I felt like I was just as bad as the man who hurt me, but I pushed them aside, I hid behind a facade that took control for the longest time, and I began to kill and hurt people like the worst scum out there, but every kill still stuck with me, and my soul blackened more and more I killed," Vernal finished.
"But do you ever get over it?" Oscar asked, his voice trembling, "Does it become... easier?"
Vernal quickly shook her head, "No, no you never get over it, and it should never become easier to kill, that's when it becomes a problem," Vernal told him.
Their words from the farm made him feel bad, made him feel terrible for getting them involved, but he was angry at himself, a part of him screamed that the only thing they needed to care about was killing and destroying Spider.
So many emotions swirled in the young boy and he just felt so confused. Oscar gripped his head and looked to the ground, "I... I know how much they are doing for me and I-I don't want them to blacken their souls for me, but I...! I can't let Spider get away with what they did! THEY HAVE TO PAY! THEY JUST HAVE TO!" Oscar cried as tears finally fell from his eyes.
Maria rubbed the boys back, "That's it, let it all out, kiddo, it's ok," She told him, "And once it's all out, we can go back and meet with your friends, I'm sure they're worried sick," Maria told him.
Oscar sobbed and sobbed, letting his sadness out, finally letting his emotions out, as Maria sat next to him, comforting him, and after Oscar let everything out, he collected himself as much as he could and they stood up and made their way back to the Hotel.
And once they reached the Hotel, Oscar walked with maria behind him to the room and entered it, only to see Jaune and Vernal turned their heads quickly in his direction, and their expressions looked relieved, and Jaune and vernal ran over to him, and the blond brought him into a hug, much to Oscar's surprised.
Jaune broke the hug and looked at the young teen, "Do you have any idea how worried sick we were!?" Jaune cried, a worried expression forming on his face, "Damn it Oscar! We looked everywhere for you! I nearly went to spider fearing the worse!" Jaune cried.
Oscar was shocked to see how worried Jaune was, but he was taken out of his stupor as Vernal grabbed him and smacked him over the head, causing him to cry out in pain, but he was then pulled into another hug.
Vernal held him tightly, "Don't you ever run off like that again!" She cried as she broke the hug and looked at him, also with a worried expression. "What were you thinking running off like that!? Do you know how we would feel if you got hurt!? DO YOU!? We made a promise to keep you safe for fuck sake! If w-we let something happen to you-"
Vernal was cut off as Oscar slammed into her and Jaune both and hugged both of them tightly much to their shock, they looked down at the younger teen and heard him sob, and his arms tightened around them.
"Th-Thank you!" Oscar sobbed out, "Thank y-you for being h-here! Th-Thank you f-for loving me!"
The two older teens could no longer hold their tears back and they hugged the farm boy back and sobbed with him. Maria couldn't help but smile as the three hugged and let out their emotions, letting out their pain, which she was sure they had been holding in for far too long, it reminded her of when she was taken out of her darkness...
He slammed his fist on his desk, scattering parts to certain devices, "Damn it why can't you understand how much I worry!?" he cried. "I see you keep coming back with more scars than I can count and I'm afraid that one day you won't come back!"
She smiled as remembered how stunned she was to see him angry, all the time she knew him, he never was angry, and even after that, he was never that angry again.
He looked at her and tears fell from his face, "Maria... please, I am begging you, please stop this," He told her as tears fell from her face. "I... I can't bear to see you like this again," he told her.
Maria's smile grew as she thought about him, 'How long has it been... Pietro? How are you doing?' Maria asked herself, 'I hope I can see you again soon so that I can show you just how much I've changed...'

Man... what a chapter right? I had to dig deep down to write this chapter, I mean I had to search back to certain memories and how I felt at those moments to write this chapter, and I'll admit, some of those emotions resurfaced and I felt bummed out for a couple of days, but I reminded myself where I am now and how better I am then I was back then.
I'm fine, so no need to worry, but more importantly, I want to thank you guys for reading this chapter and this story.
Anyway! Let's move on to much happier news, shall we?
On March 4th, the first chapter of "The Soldier & The Knight Pt.1" will be released! It's the most voted story out of the three and I worked on the first chapter before I wrote the 7th chapter of "Jaune's Multiverse Madness" and this chapter.
I hope you guys are looking forward to the first chapter of "The Soldier & The Knight Pt.1" and I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Thank you, be safe, and have a great day/night!
