Chapter 8

Trouble at New Home

Akina and Shikamaru arrived at the gate of the Hidden Leaf, both tired from the long journey. Mostly tired from being up late. Shikamaru let out a yawn as he walked with his hands behind his head. Akina walked next to him.

"We should do that more often." Akina said, looking at Shikamaru. Shikamaru hummed in agreement. He enjoyed that mission. Anbu Black Op suddenly land in front of them. Shikamaru grabbed Akina's arm as they back up a bit. The first one stepped forward.

"Lady Akina. Your need at the Hokage Office right now." The one said.

"Is mother alright?" Akina asked.

"She's fine, but your needed for another reason." The one said. Akina and Shikamaru share worried looks. "Lord Shikamaru. You should come too." Shikamaru took Akina's hand and they head for the Hokage office.

"What's going on?" Shikamaru asked.

"The Hokage will explain when you both get there." One of the Anbu Black Ops said.

"I got a feeling I know what its about." Akina whispered. Shikamaru groaned.

"This is a drag." Shikamaru said. They entered the Hokage office. Ino and Choji were waiting as well with Shikaku. Tsunade sat at her desk with Shizune.

"Father. Ino. Choji. What are you doing here?" Shikamaru asked.

"Mother. What's going on?" Akina asked, looking at Tsunade. Tsunade didn't look happy.

"You ex boyfriend is on his way here." Tsunade said. Akina paled. "He found out where you were."

"How? No one knew I was coming here but the Tsuchikage and his family." Akina said. Shikamaru had a huge frown on his face.

'Kurotsuchi warned me not to come because he might find out. She was right, but I don't see her and her family telling where I was. I was more welcome in the family then anyone else.' Akina thought.

"They aren't sure how he found out. Less one of the guards told them." Shizune said.

"Your not to go anywhere in the village alone. Shikaku said that you can come to his house whenever. But stick with Team 10 when your out till he is caught." Tsunade said. She had noticed she became closer to Shikamaru's team then anyone else. Yes she was close to Hinata and Sakura, but Akina seemed to trust Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino the most.

"This is a drag. Just what we need right now." Shikamaru said. Akina felt like her world got ripped apart again.

"It was a long journey for you two. Head home and eat. Just keep an eye out." Tsunade said.

"She's invited for dinner but welcome to spend the night with how late these two like to stay up." Shikaku said with a knowing smile.

"Thank you." Tsunade said.

"Let's head to my house." Shikamaru said.

"We'll walk with you." Ino said. Choji nodded. They head out and Akina told her two friends the truth of her ex like she did with Shikamaru. Ino didn't look happy and Choji looked like he wanted to strangle someone.

"Shikamaru. You better treat her good." Choji growled.

"Don't worry. He does." Akina said, smiling at Shikamaru. Shikamaru sighed. Choji relaxed.

"Just stay with Shikamaru. You should be fine." Ino said. Ino and Choji walked with her and Shikamaru to the Nara house.

After dinner. Akina sat out on the porch wrapped in a blanket. Shikamaru was explaining to his mother what was going on. Akina wasn't sure if she even wanted to play Shoji. To much was on her mind.

'If he is after me, my friends are in danger even Shikamaru.' Akina thought.

'I told you that boy was no good news.' Mushu said in her head.

'Yet I don't hear you complaining with Shikamaru. I thought you hated any boy that looked at me.' Akina growled back. Mushu chuckled.

'He's one of the good ones. I sense it along with Narutu and the others. I see a Shinobi that will be a great leader in that boyfriend of yours.' Mushu said. Akina couldn't help but smile. 'You as well, Little Dragon, with having 3 realatives that were or are Hokage.' Akina looked at the heads of the 1rst, Second, and fifth Hokage.

'Maybe I'll be Hokage someday, but after Naruto.' Akina thought.

"You alright?" Akina turned to see Shikamaru coming to join her. She opened the blanket and he sat next to her and wrapped the blanket around him.

"Just talking to the Ten Tails." Akina said, leaning against Shikamaru. He wrapped his arm around her. In private he seemed more romantic or least show affection. Public not so much but maybe holding hands, which Akina was fine with. Lightning streaked the sky. "Looks like storms tonight. I can smell the rain in the air." Akina loved storms. Akina laid her head on Shikamaru's shoulder and he laid his head on top of hers.

"Stay till we got him dealed with. Mother is worried for you." Shikamaru said.

"I feel so loved with your family." Akina said. Shikamaru smiled. "Though I don't think some of your clan is happy with your choice."

"Its not up to them. It's a drag, but dad will talk to them." Shikamaru said. Akina snuggled in closer.

A streak of lighting hits not far and Akina saw a figure on the roof of the house not far. Her blood ran cold.

"What is it?" Shikamaru asked as he felt her body stiffen. Another lightning flash and the figure was gone.

"Nothing. My eyes are playing tricks." Akina said. Shikamaru raised an eyebrow.

'He's here.' Mushu said. Akina closed her eyes. A roll of thunder made her jump and Shikamaru chuckled.

"Your offly jumpy now." Shikamaru said.

"I'm just worried. I'll be fine for now." Akina said.

"Let's play some Shoji. That will help you relax." Shikamaru said. Akina wondered if she could concentrate with the game. Shikamaru got up and went to get the board. Akina stood up, pulling the blanket closer to her. She had a plan in her head and she knew Mushu was not going to like it and Shikamaru would stop her if he got word she was doing this. She turned away from the yard and headed in as Shikamaru set the board down.

At Midnight. Akina snuck out of the Nara house and back home. She changed into her Ninja clothes. She tightened the straps to her Hidden Leaf headband. The storm had passed and the roofs were slick so Akina make sure to take everything with ease. She landed on a roof and looked out across the village. Her long hair whipped around with the wind. She had waited till Shikamaru had passed out and slipped out of his arms. Akina stood looking.

'Little Dragon. I don't like your plan. This is dangerous.' Mushu said in her mind.

'He wants me and I'm stronger then last time I saw him. If things get out of hand get Shikamaru.' Akina said.

'You are stubburn. Your gonna get yourself killed.' Mushu said.

"We need to stop him and he will keep himself hidden less I am free. He's to smart to be caught.' Akina thought. Mushu growled.

'You should of told Shikamaru.' Mushu said. Akina was regretting it but she didn't want him killed or worse. Akina turned and collided with a body.

"Well. Well. Decide to come out of hiding." A very familiar voice said. Akina quikcly jumped back. The man was tall. Not as tall as Shikamaru. He had red hair and deep brown eyes. "Now a Hidden Leaf Ninja. Why am I not surprised."

"What do you want, Daku?" Akina asked. Daku smirked and Akina wondered how she ever fell for him.

"You." Daku said. Akina opened her mouth when something hard hit her in the back of the head from behind and she fell onto the roof. Mushu's growl filled her head.

'Go.' Akina thougth as Daku laughed and Akina let darkness take her.
