8 years later, Rachel: Age 13

It's the last school period of the day and Young Rachel had enough of this snore fest.

In the classroom with 20 other students, there was a young teenage girl with raven-colored hair in the style of mid bob haircut with purple dip dye, sitting on her desk waiting for the school day to end.

Rachel wished she could just read her favorite book, binge-watch her favorite sitcom from start to end, or better yet train with her brothers for the upcoming UA entrance exam. It's only been ten days of quirk and physical training. She knows that she and her brother Tenya have to take a break for today in order not to overwork their bodies.

It's the reason why she is bored. She doesn't have anything to do today after school, and today's lecture is just dumb.

The substitute teacher may have decades of teaching, but he enjoys talking more about himself, instead of the subject that they were meant to learn.

Rachel can even hear some of the kids at the back of the classroom talking to themselves and making fun of the teacher.

I can't believe he kept talking about the good old days, instead having us read the book that we're meant to read.

Rachel would love to sigh but looking at the time on the clock. She would be just wasting energy at this point. She is just glad that she isn't the only one who thinks this class was a snore fest, she sees her best friend, Shinso with a strong grey aura around him. He was just on his phone browsing and checking on the Pro Hero News.

'Damn it, can this class end quicker while we're still young.' she thought.

"Ow."

Rachel heard that ow, and it was coming from the front row of the classroom, it was coming from Yumi Ono.

Rachel noticed there was a paper ball nearby Ono's feet. She notice that everyone was doing their own thing, such as cellphone browsing, and doodling on their notebooks. No one is looking around. She thinks it is a good idea to use her quirk.

She concentrated as always and use her emotional anchor as a guide toward the paper ball, as the paper ball was surrounded by a black aura with a purple glow, as the paper flew right to her hand.

She uncrumpled the paper ball, just to see there was a written note on it.

Hey Ono, I enjoy your make-out video, the boys thought it was hot.

Disgusting, Poor Ono she's being bullied and it's just only the second week of school. Whoever wrote this is just a disgusting, low-life bitch.

'It was pretty clear that one of the girls wrote this, they wrote the "i" on the word "it" with a heart, a dotted heart on the "I" is this supposed to be cute, or sweet? This is neither of the two, it's just bitchy.' Rachel thought as she rips off the paper into shreds

*Ring!* *Ring!*

As the substitute teacher called the classroom dismissal everyone slowly left the classroom. While Rachel was packing up, she heard the footsteps stop right in front of her desk. When looked up she notice it was her friend.

"Hey Rachel, are you ready to head out?"

"At a moment, Shinso, I just want to talk to someone real quick." Rachel said as she stood up to talk to Ono.

Looking at the girl closely as she walks. Rachel can see Ono's aura due to her quirk. She just wants to help her the best she can. "Hey, Ono."

"Oh hi, Ida."

"I was wondering if you want to join Shinso and me for a cup of tea, and bitch about life?" Rachel asked her politely

"I don't know Ida, I'm not in the mood for tea," Ono said.

'Not in the mood, but you like tea. Perhaps a different approach would do? can make her laugh?'

"Hey, what do you think of the substitute, such a snore fest right?" Rachel joked, struggling to smile.

"Yeah, boring stuff, How to Kill a Mockingbird can be a snore fest," Ono said with a fake laugh at the end.

'She lying. We didn't read the book today? Is her head somewhere else? Perhaps it may have to do with the paper ball today.' Rachel thought. She notices Ono's aura expanding and getting brighter.

"Ono… is everything… Ok with you?" Rachel asks.

Ono stood up from her chair as she tries to keep eye contact with Rachel's amethyst eyes. "Ida look it's been fun, but… I have… After-school activities at… church." Ono said. "If you can just excuse me, Ciao."

"See ya," Rachel replies as Ono left the classroom.

"Hey, what's that about Rachel?" Shinso asks.

'That's a good question, what is up with Ono, why is she lying, is she avoiding something?' Rachel thought. 'Ono isn't usually down with the blues. I may not be close with Ono on a personal level, like her two friends. Though she knows Ono since the start of Junior High, She only knows the little stuff like she likes tea, and she's also religious to her faith in Christianity.'

It's not her right to tell Shinso, why Ono is down with the blues, maybe she can just keep it for herself. "It's nothing Shinso, I think we should go, our friend is waiting for us right about now." Rachel said as they walked towards the school exit.

"Do you think, she's making out with a boy right now?" Shinso asks to know about their 3rd friend.

"I want to say no, but I would be lying to myself." Rachel said with her usual tone. "I'm sure she won't kiss you, we both know you don't swing that way."

"10 bucks, say she is." Shinso places a bet.

"You're on." They high-five each other wanting to know who would win the bet.

Stepping off campus, the two friends felt a cool breeze as Fall is pushing out the summer heat slowly.

'Halloween is coming soon, what should I be for this year?' Rachel thought, thinking of a Halloween costume that she and her friends can wear this year.

"Oh, X'Hal! My Friends!" Rachel and Shinso were hugged by their very strong friend, as she flew them off the ground, as her red hair was on fire. "Oh, I thought my friends have forgotten about me?"

"Kori, can you not hug as so hard, please," Shinso said struggling to breathe.

"Oh sorry, Friend Shinso." as their friend, Kori gently landed back on the ground as she Release them from her hug.

Their friend Kori Anders, was a tall teenage girl, with orange skin, long curly red velvet-coloured hair, and emerald-coloured eyes.

"I am sorry, but I'm stronger than I look." Kori apologizes to her friend.

"Saying that you're physically stronger, isn't what one would call an apology, Anders," Shinso said rubbing his chest, hoping Kori didn't break his rib cage.

"Shinso, I'm sorry. I swear to X'Hal, I would be more gentle for you and Rachel." Kori once again apologizes to both of her friends.

"Halt! Freeze! Stop right there, you hooligan!" Said a guy running in their direction.

"Oh, X'Hal! Am I in trouble?!" Kori asks her friends. However, Rachel and Shinso weren't afraid, knowing that they were familiar with the voice that they heard as the voice ran closer to them.

Until he finally stops as he is right in front of them, doing a robot gesture with his arms at Kori. "You Hooligan, Don't you know that using your quirk without a license is strictly illegal. What do you have to say for yourself?!"

"I'm sorry officer, I didn't know–" Kori was been interrupted by a hand from her friend.

"Kori, he isn't an officer, he's my brother." Rachel, she just introduce them to each other. "Kori Anders this is my older brother, Tenya Ida. Big brother Tenya, this is my new friend, Kori Anders she's just started school this year."

"Big brother?- Oh I see now, He is like your big sister, but as a boy, yes?"

The three teenagers just sweat drops, they were unsure how on Earth, does Kori doesn't know what a brother is?

"Yes… I am my sister's sibling, but the correct term is brother because I am a boy." Tenya said, trying to correct Kori.

"Oh, wait, ain't brother, a sister born with a penis?"

'Does she not know what a brother is!' the three teenagers thought.

Tenya was still blushing from the penis comment. "That's enough, but how dare you use your quirk without a license."

Rachel stood up to defend her friend. "Tenya, stop bullying the poor girl, She's new in the country, she's a foreigner from the foreign country of… of?" She turns to Kori to ask her a question. "Anders, where are you from again?"

"Me? I am from the pla— I mean the foreign country of Tamaran." Kori answers them.

"Tamaran? I never heard of it?" Tenya said.

"Yes, that's because Tamaran is a very small country, so small it would be considered a village." Anders replies.

Rachel had enough. She likes Anders, but this discussion is going out of nowhere. Though she does wonder why Tenya is here? They're day off from training. Kori and her plans to help Shinso with training day.

"Bigger question Tenya, why are you here? Big Brother Tensei isn't training us today, and I have plans with Shinso and Anders." Rachel said.

Tenya just sighs, "Don't tell me you forgot?" he pinches the bridge of his nose. "It's father's retirement party it starts in a few hours, Mother asks me to pick you up after school."

Rachel's face turned from boredom into a frown. "Goosepickles, I forgot." she turns to Shinso and Anders. "I have to apologize to you Shinso, but I won't be able to train you for the entrance exam today. Anders, can you train Shinso today?"

The girl nodded to reply to Rachel, "Oh, of course, I will train Shinso like the War Lords of Okaara thought me in the art of Mortal Kombat." That peeks at Shinso's attention.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about, Anders? But I'll take that as a yes." Rachel turns her attention to her big brother.

"Wait, combat spelled with a, K?" Shinso asks Anders.

"Big Brother, before we go, let me just grab my electric scooter, and we can head back home." She said as she goes to the bike parking lot.

As she heads to the bike parking lot. Many thoughts race at her head.

'I can't believe, I have forgotten all about Father's retirement party as Ingenium, He did so much as a Pro Hero, I can't believe this is the last chapter for Father to be a Pro Hero.' She thought. 'Then again since Tensei's UA Graduation, Father is been at home helping Mother with housework.'

She hopes it's just, Housework, As Rachel hides her blush.

'I can't believe in a few years, Tenya and I would be Pro Heroes too. Tensei, Tenya, and I would be the Ingenium agency siblings working together.' Rachel thought. 'What would be a great hero name for me? Maybe I can use the book characters that I like as my Hero name? What does Pennywise sound like used as a Pro name? No, I would scare a lot of children, what about Redrum? Nah, that's just the word, Murder spelled backwards it doesn't have a calming tone, What about Carrie? Nah, that's just bad, A hero name would pop up eventually.'

As she gets closer and closer to her destination. She heard voices coming from the Bike Parking lot.

"Please, I beg of you to delete that video.'

Rachel recognizes that voice, as she hides behind the wall to have a closer look, and hopes that no one can spot her eavesdropping. He peek to see that the familiar voice was coming from her classmate, Yumi Ono.

However, she isn't alone. With her was the top student in Rachel's homeroom class, a very popular girl that the boys blush at her beauty, she was Kiato Ito.

She is the head cheerleader, She has long cheery red hair, and almost all the boys used to be crushing on her, She has a very famous fashion designer mother, but her popularity went down when a popular jock of the basketball team broke up with her when the truth that she was a two-timer.

All and All, Rachel isn't a fan of Kiato Ito. She's never liked her because a clone of Regina George, but twice as meaner as the fictional character.

Then Rachel remembers Ono back in the classroom, she recalls that Ono feels down with the blues, and she also remembers the paper ball with the written note on it.

'Is Kiato Ito, bullying Yumi Ono?"

If Rachel didn't know about Ono's feelings earlier, she would just walked by and grabbed her scooter and leave without a second thought. Though that's not the case anymore she wants to know why Ito is bullying Ono. So got her smartphone and recorded everything for evidence.

Ono continues to beg Ito to delete something on the internet, While Ito was browsing on her smartphone. "Please, I beg of you. It's not funny anymore, this isn't a game. I would've never make-out with all those guys. Please, Ito, delete the video." she said.

Rachel sees that Ito wasn't paying attention ignoring every word from the girl, as Ono's blue aura glows brighter.

"Look, no one made you do anything. No one made you drink the orange juice from the party." Ito said.

Rachels sees that Ono's aura turned red, meaning anger. "ORANGE JUICE WITH VODKA! THERE WAS ALCOHOL IN THE JUICE!" she yelled.

"It's Screwdriver Cocktail like anybody knows that," Ito replies.

"I'm not here for bar education, damn it! I beg please!" Ono goes down on her knees and holds on to Ito's ankles as her tears come out. "Please I beg of you! Kiato by the love of God! Have mercy on me and delete the video-o-o!"

Ito shakes Ono's hands off. "Get away from me!" while shaking her leg off she kicked Ono's face as she ran off.

'Oh shit!'

Rachel ran towards Ono to see if she was okay. "Shit! Ono are you okay?!" she said while trying to get Ono up on her feet. Rachel was glad to see there was a bench nearby, as she carry Ono to the bench.

Setting Ono to sit on the bench. Rachel opened her backpack. It may not be a first aid kit, but she does have a handkerchief and her water bottle.

Rachel isn't an expert in first aid, but wetting the handkerchief with clean water may help with Ono's cheek, probably preventing it from being a purple bruise. "Here, let me it may lessen bruising," she said gently dabbing the wet handkerchief.

"Were you watching the whole time?"

Rachel froze from the question.

Kiato Ito was being such a bitch to Ono, and there she was, Rachel Ida, who wants to be a future Pro Hero. Froze towards someone who needed help. 'I disgrace the Ida name.' She thought.

Rachel looked at Ono directly in her eyes she saw the sorrow on them. She doesn't need to use her quirk to know that she's been suffering from Ito's bullying. If she lies to her, it would hurt her more. She knows what to do, and the answer is simple, confess. "Yes, I saw the whole thing. I came here to get my electric scooter, but me being in the right place but wrong time was a complete coincidence, I swear I didn't hear a lot."

She continues as she looks away. "I was a chicken, I'm sorry that I didn't stand up for you Ono, I wish I was a lot braver. To help you, I'm ashamed," she said meaning every word of it.

Ono took the handkerchief as she hold on to it on her cheek. "It's cool, don't worry about it," Ono said, looking away from her.

Rachel noticed, that even after everything that happened, Ono won't look in Rachel's eyes and tell her that Kiato Ito is bullying her. Does she think that Rachel can't help her? Or does Ono thinks that she is a hopeless cause like she doesn't matter?

'Like how long was, Kiato Ito bullying Ono, to the point that she believes that she doesn't matter?' Rachel thought worried for Ono. Her eyes widen as Ono's cheek starts to bleed.

"Shit, you're bleeding. Here let me see your wound." Rachel said, having her bare hand examining the wound.

"Ow! Careful," Ono said.

"Sorry, it doesn't look bad but it may leave a–" Rachel's train of thought stop as her hand glowed. She admittedly let go of Ono's cheek and notice that her cheek was complete, healed?

'Since when can I heal? My quirk never down such a thing before?' she thought.

"What's wrong is it bad?" Ono asks worriedly about the fact that she's bleeding.

"It's nothing… It completely stops bleeding." Rachel said. Comforting Ono the best that she can.

Rachel did the best she can to help Ono, she even thought that her aura wasn't so bright as before, perhaps talking to Ono helped.

"Thanks for helping, Ida, but I should go, I have an activity at the… My house with my sisters' homework."

'She lied again, she said earlier was an activity at church. Now it's homework with her sisters'. Does she not want help from others, or does she feel… alone?' she thought.

"Ono, you can talk to me if things are not okay." Rachel ensures Ono.

The girl just shook her head. "I'm perfectly fine, Ida, like I said I have other things to do. Caio" Ono said as she walks away.

"Yeah, Caio… What can I do to help her?" Rachel mutters her word. Gladly no one heard her, as she takes her scooter to meet up with her brother.

Moments later.

As he and his sister ride their bikes and scooters on their way home, Tenya realizes that his sister was awfully quiet, well quiet than usual. Sometimes they would chat about what happened at their school, or talk about Pro Heroes.

Such as their conversation last week, when All Might defeated a Sludge Villain, after training with their brother Tensei.

They even passed a sweet shop that Taiyaki ice cream, Rachel loves Waffles in all of their forms. Yet she didn't ask him to stop and buy taiyaki ice cream.

His brother's sense is tingling, he knows enough that something is bothering Rachel, he just has to ask.

"Hey Rachel, is something up?" Tenya asks.

"Besides the clouds and sky, nothing much." She replies Sarcastically with her usual tone.

Tenya took a pause, to chuckle at her responses, "Clever sis, but seriously are you okay? Did something happen at school?" He asks again.

This time Rachel stopped her scooter as she parks it near a bench as sat down on it. Tenya decided to do the same thing with his bike as he sit next to his sister. "You can tell me if there's something happened as school, I'm your big brother, and I want to help my sister in the best way possible. As your Shinso would normally say, fess up?"

He made his sister chuckle from his imitation of Shinso.

"That's a good imitation of Shinso." Rachel said. "Though nothing wrong with school, in all honesty. The only highlight I have is a boring one because we had a substitute teacher. My usual Literature Teacher, called in sick, so I end up with the worst and most boring substitute teacher ever."

"Really, come on I bet your substitute isn't that bad?" He replies.

Rachel gave his brother a deadpanned stare piercing his soul. "Big brother Tenya, when my teacher comes back, he would be expecting us to know what happened in the previous chapter of our book. However, we didn't get the chance to read the book because my substitute decided to talk about himself and the good old days when he was a younger teacher. Instead of learning what happened in, How to Kill a Mockingbird, I learned how much bread cost back in his day. Now you do the math, how would my classmates and I pass my teacher's pop quiz to our book?"

Tenya just gulps in defeat, as he agrees with his sister.

Rachel sighs as she asks her brother a question. "Tenya, can I ask you something?"

Tenya paid attention to his sister as he just nodded.

She continues "Well, what would you do if one our your classmates is bullying another?"

Tenya's eyes widen to hear the question. "Can you elaborate, like what happened, like was someone shove someone?" he asks.

"Well, it's not like physical bullying that's for sure." Rachel said, making it clear to Tenya. "I think is closer to Cyberbullying, I don't know much of the detail, but I think it has something to do with a viral video, somewhere online?"

Tenya was shocked to hear this info from Rachel. He heard stories about cyberbullying, and where it could lead to. Unlike offline bullying, The bully hides their face behind the screen, with a username and fails profile photo.

"Geez, that's heavy. Do you have a clue who it is?" Tenya aks.

Rachel just nodded. "Yeah, when I was heading to get my scooter earlier. I accidentally overheard a conversation between two of my classmate." She said, handing her smartphone to her brother. "I wanted to comfort them and stood up for my classmate, but chicken out, and I took this video for evidence."

Tenya played the video on the phone and he frowned every second of the video, from what he heard on the video isn't much. There were mentions about, alcohol, a party, kissing more than one boy, and the one that got his attention video. Clearly about the girl who is crying in the video, perhaps a viral video of her drunk and kissing boys.

He felt disgusted towards the other girl, ignoring the very plea that the girl cried out. "Who's the cheerleader in the video, Rachel?" he asks his sister.

"That would be, Kiato Ito, she's like one of the most popular girls in school, though her reign in popularity went south and sour. The end of last year." Rachel explains. "I won't bore you with every single detail, but by the looks of the video. I think she had a house party and spike the drinks with alcohol."

"In which, the other girl has no clue that the drinks were spiked with alcohol. She accidentally got drunk end up making out with some boys." Tenya continues for her, as he looks at her directly in her eyes. "Rachel this is serious, Let's say that his Ito person posted a viral video of the other girl online. Many people would have seen it by now."

Rachel nodded agreeing with her brother. "I think that's why wants the video to be taken down, Ono is just fourteen-years-old, Ain't Ito basically posted child pornography. That's very illegal!" she said.

"I don't know much of what she did was illegal or not, because we have no clue if this Ono character kept her clothes are not? Perhaps if we go tell Tensei, he might ask friends at the police station." Tenya said.

"Tenya wait!" Rachel stood up from her seat. "Before we show this to big brother Tensei, I think I should confront Yumi Ono first. To truly understand what happened at the party?" she explains. "I think if we straight up show this to Tensei, he would go to the police station. Let me do my plan first and see if Ono wants to press charges?"

Tenya sighed and sided with his sister. "Alright, sis. It's your call whatever your choice is I stand by you." he smiles at his sister. "I do want to say, I'm proud of you. You're standing up to a bully, who thinks that the viral video would make her popular again."

Rachel frowned. "I appreciate it, but I don't feel like I deserve it, because I chicken out and hide behind a wall instead of standing up to Ono," she said with shame in her tone.

"That might be true, but you didn't just stand there and do nothing. You record the event." He holds up her phone. "This video is evidence, that can be used against Ito."

He continues. "Look, what you did is what a hero does, not every hero goes directly to punch and defeat the villain. Sometimes Heroes would dig up evidence to prove if one is guilty or not. I guess what I'm trying to say, is you did a good job, and you should feel proud."

Tenya was suddenly hugged by his sister. Like he said something, that made her very happy.

"Thanks, Tenya, I needed to hear that?" she said.

He returns her hug by hugging her back. "Of course, we're family after all."

I have so much fun writing the new chapter. I have just introduce Kori Anders, but comic book fans, would know her from her Tamaranian name of Koriand'r, but her hero name that fans as, Starfire.

As for this arc, there would be two more chapters before we head to Canon story that would be the Entrance exam.

Like the story has hinted that this story takes place a week after Midoriya met All Might, behind the scenes which I plan to introduce, Izuku Midoriya real soon.

The characters of Yumi Ono and Kiato Ito are original characters.
