Rachel couldn't decide what clothes to wear. True, the young woman isn't a fashionista or Malibu Barbie, but casual Saturdays are like fashion week in Gotham City. The people in Moira Queen Polytechnic treat Saturday like it was a CW teen drama show, just being in the hallways. People talk about your clothes and judge you like there the fashion police.
She was never into fashion, She instead has comfortable clothes that look stylish and cool like I just exited a Gotham City charity Gala.
She looked at the mirror and glace at herself. She was wearing a blue V-Neck tee shirt with a photo of a raven on it, black jeans, and matching black booths, and she plans to wear her signature hoodie, the one with the raven and her feathers on it.
'I'm not trying to get attention or compliments, but I think my outfit is badass, Also I like ravens it's no different from someone who is a dog person or cat person.' She thought now looking at her face. 'That's so Rachel. Ready to fucking trash the system! Lol. If I said that out loud it would be embarrassing…. But maybe I should wear something around my face and neck area but what?'
She searches in one of her drawers, trying to find something to compliment her look.
'Come on, where is that choker that I got? I know I place it here.' while searching for it she felt something familiar. She picked it up and saw something that she haven't seen in years.
It was a small ruby.
The ruby was very important to Rachel. True, many years ago she could just sell it for cash, but this ruby was very important to her. This ruby was part of her old life.
The life before she had amnesia.
'My ruby… I don't remember but, this ruby is very important to me. According to my accident records, I was holding this ruby like it was a lifeline. Rachel Thought. 'I thought back then when I first woke up from my accident, I would admittedly remember everything from seeing my ruby. Like I would cry at the moment I saw it. Sadly that wasn't the case, the name Rachel is the name I gave to the doctors, but it didn't feel like it was my true name. Maybe the name Rachel just sounded similar to my real name, whatever it was, I'm stuck with Rachel.'
Rachel sighs. 'I stopped hoping that my memories would come back, it has been nine years now. It's not like I'm expecting to remember my old life by waking up one day. I moved on, I'm not the same little girl anymore… I'm more invested in my future as a Pro Hero.'
Rachel suddenly felt his mind spiraling bringing up some old emotions of guilt that she felt for the last couple of days, it grew stronger since yesterday.
She couldn't forget what Ono said to her yesterday.
"Did Ito promise you, Make-up tips, fashion advice, helping you to get a boyfriend?! While in return you search for Yumi Ono's stuff that makes her, A LOSER!"
'I want to apologize to her, but I think if I tried doing it yesterday, she may not want to hear my apologies. Hopefully, Ono will be in school today… '
'Thinking about my actions to help Ono, I don't feel like a hero, let alone feel super.' Rachel thought. 'I'm starting to doubt myself, am I just fooling myself that I can be a hero? I'm not the best girl for the job. There is no shame if I choose a different career path, I'm turning fourteen next month. I can be an author and write novels, like the Stephen King books or the author who wrote Diary the Wimpy kid.'
Rachel sighs as she does her breathing exercise and tries to stop worrying about her past and future, and just focus on the present. She remembers her practices during her time with Doctor Thompkins about mindfulness, which is about her rational mind, and emotional mind meeting in the center, to create her wise mind. That's when her logic and feelings can work together, instead of arguing with each other.
According to Dr. Thompkins that is okay to worry that's why she would give herself at least five minutes of worry time per day.
Doing her mindfulness practices, she feels worry-free and true, her thoughts are still back of her head, but at least they're not spiraling. She wonders what she is going to do with her ruby.
Maybe she can worry about it some other time. Now, she is meeting her friends for breakfast, at the Diner that Shinso's mom work at, Two Whales' Diners.
'I can find that choker some other time, I think my outfit is enough.' Rachel thought as she exits her room as marched down to the living room.
"Rachel, Good Morning."
The girl turned around to see the one who greeted her. "Oh, Good morning Tenya." she greeted her big brother.
She looked at her brother, wearing casual too casual Saturday. He was wearing a white polo with a blue vest and matching blue slacks.
"Nice outfits Tenya, let me guess you're finally asking your crush on a date?" She teased her brother making him blush.
"Ha. Ha, sis, but no, I don't have a crush on any girl." Tenya ensures his sister.
"Alright, a boy maybe?" She teases.
"I'm flatter, but no. I'm pretty sure I'm not gay, I'm more of an ally to Shinso and the LGBTQ community." He said. "You look pretty sis, you look like a goth Barbie." he joked as she just jokingly flips him off. "Anyways, jokes aside. I just want to ask you something."
"Oh, sure thing brother, what's up?" She asks.
"I was wondering if I can join you and your friends for breakfast at Two Whales' Diner," asked Tenya.
Rachel thought of it. She's perfectly fine for her brother to join them for breakfast, and she is sure that Kori and Hitoshi would be fine as well. "Sure, why the heck not, there is room for one more," replied Rachel.
Tenya smiled happily to hear the news. "Thanks, sis, If we go no, I can both still make it to our respective schools." with his robot hands,
Rachel rolled her eyes as the two siblings march down to the living room. As they take each step of the stairs, they heard the voice of their eldest brother.
"Isn't that brother?" Tenya asks. They listen carefully to make sure the voice did come from him.
"Yes, that is Tensei… and is he… singing?" Rachel pointed out. That both siblings are interested to see their brother singing, as they silently sneak into the living room making sure that Tensei doesn't see them.
They clever hid behind the sofa as they watch Tensei have his solo karaoke performance, to the new popular song by the pop rock duo singers from Japan, Puffy Ami Yumi.
He was singing to their new hit song, though he mutters the song's chorus.
"When there's trouble, you know who to call… From their tower, they can see it all… When there's evil on the attack. You can rest knowing they got your back. Cause when the world needs heroes on patrol! Tee- Gah! TENYA! RACHEL! HOW LONG WERE YOU TWO WATCHING?!" Tensei asks
"Long enough brother." Tenya chuckled, and Rachel was holding her laughter.
Rachel recovered from her laughter. "Tensei, there is nothing to be embarrassed about… your singing is really good. Though you muttered the chorus, you don't say, Teen Titans."
Tensei rubbed the back of his head. "Uh, I thought I did say it out loud… Oh well. I guess once you two enter UA, you can form your own Teen Titans, as the song suggest."
Rachel gulped at the question, but her worries were overshadowed by Tenya's optimism. "Oh yes, I like the name… though there are the chances, that Rachel and I would end up being in the other Hero Course classes like I might end up 1B, while Rachel ends up in 1A like it is a possibility that can happen," said Tenya, as he as his brother question. "Anyways big brother, how come you're not at work?"
Tensei just rubbed his head. "Well, since Father retired, today would be my first day as a Pro Hero, instead of a sidekick. You can say I'm nervous… my shift starts a little bit later." Tensei said. "Like, I feel like I'm dreaming that I am now Ingenium, I'm finally living the dream, I was Kid Ingenium since my first internship… Eventually, I'll pass the Ingenium mantle to you… Tenya." Tensei realize when he mentioned passing the Ingenium mantle, Rachel looked down assuming he hurt her feelings.
"Rachel that's not what I meant, you know that right?" Tensei said.
Rachel just sighs, "Yeah, don't worry I'm not upset, we all know that I could never be Ingenium. Plus, it won't make any sense because I don't have a speed quirk." She demonstrated by using her quirk by making the sofa pillow float with her quirk. "Like, I'm still figuring my Hero name, anyways." she puts down the pillow. "Tensei, I was wondering if you can drive Tenya and me to Two Whales' Diner?"
"Two Whales', sure I can I've headed there for Breakfast myself, why not I pay for all of our meals" Tensei offered.
"Awesome, just to let you know Anders and Shinso are joining us, It's the main reason why I was going to Two Whales'." Rachel mentioned.
"I'm coming along because I craving for their famous burgers. I wouldn't mind eating with Rachel's friends. Like we met more than once, and I want to get to know more of Rachel's new friend." Tenya blushed when he mentioned Kori. That took Rachel's attention.
"Is that the real reason, or do you have a crush on my friend, the bikini model." Rachel teases. Seeing Tenya's aura being pink.
"She's a B-Bikini model?" he replies blushing to make his face completely vermillion red.
"No she's not a model, though, It made things clear that you have a crush on Kori." Rachel teases making Tenya blush a lot more.
"I don't have a crush on Kori!" Tenya relied on his face remains to blush.
"Wow, little brother has a crush." it was Tensei's turn to tease their brother. "Tenya and Kori, sitting on a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G!" Tensei and Rachel chuckled at teasing their brother.
"GAH, I'LL MEET YOU BOTH IN THE CAR!" Said Tenya as he mutters to Tensei's car.
In Tensei's car, Rachel decided to ride in the back while Tenya took the passager seat.
While the two brothers talk, Rachel can see that Tenya didn't like Tensei's advice when it comes to dating girls.
Tenya was in full embarrassment mode, and Rachel didn't want to tease him during this time, unlike before. She just wishes they could have that talk when they're in a more private room. Instead of being in the same car as them. Having her headphones on and listing to her music doesn't make it let awkward.
She starts to wonder, does Tenya ever think of the idea of dating?
I mean, they're both teenagers. Their not little kids anymore she just figures that Tenya going through puberty, much earlier than her. She figures he would see girls as, well hot.
Having a crush as a kid and as a teenager is quite different, especially when hormones play their course.
Now she wonders if any of her friends, ever thought of the idea of having a date and having a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.
Does Tensei have a secret girlfriend, or had secret dates?
'What about myself, I do want to go on a date or, have a boyfriend?' she thought. 'I love teasing my brothers, but the idea of crush or the idea of loving someone is almost like a school subject that is just foreign to me. Like, are there books for dummies to understand crushes?'
'What does Megan feel when she has a crush on boys in Hello Megan? I know it's just acting but what does she feel, what am I supposed to feel or think when I suddenly fall in love with someone?' Rachel sighs. 'I feel silly. To think I would see boys differently, like in the way how Megan fell in love with Conner… Maybe I'm just hungry for breakfast?'
Rachel starts to think about what she wants to order at Two Whales'.
"Rachel, we're here."
Rachel got out from her daydreaming as she step out of the car, and see the diner itself. Two Whales' has an American theme diner, the majority of the outside is a blue and white building, and their diner's sign was a cutout of two whales.
"Is it just me or is Two Whales' smaller from what I remember?" Tensei asks.
"Nope, it's the same. I guess you just haven't been here since… Well, Shiramuko" Tenya awkwardly said. "Sorry, brother I didn't mention it that way."
"It's okay Tenya, this place use to bring so much joy to me. I'm just glad I took the first step, there is someone I want to meet. That's why I planned to head here in the first place." Tensei mentioned that got the two siblings interested.
Rachel looked at her eldest brother and she notices that his emotional aura isn't showing, meaning this place no longer brings sorrow, and coming here shows that he has the courage and being here doesn't bother him.
She just hope that nothing would trigger him to remember his past.
"Come on, I think my friends are waiting." Rachel said. She was Taking charge of the situation.
"Right, Breakfast engage!" said Tensei acting cool.
As the siblings entered the Diner, they were introduced to banjo music. The inside layout of the diner is very American, there was even a jukebox. There were pictures on the wall, one of them was the city of Musutafu, too bad there were no pictures of Pro Heroes or Anime, but there are pictures of the owner in his fishing gear.
Rachel walked closer to the jukebox hoping to change the song, into more modern music. Before she could change the music, she was stopped by a familiar voice.
"Stop right there, Rachel I picked that song."
When she turned around, she saw her friends Kori and Hitoshi sitting in a booth.
Hitoshi was wearing a denim blue jacket and a brown t-shirt, and by the looks of it, black running shoes.
Kori indeed looks like a model with her outfit which seems to be a violet dress and violet Go-Go boots.
"Good morning, it's okay that I brought my brothers." Rachel gestures to her brothers.
"Good morning." Tenya greeted Rachel's friends.
"Hi, it's nice to see you again Shinso," Tensei Shock hands with Shinso. Then he turned to the girl with orange skin, red hair, and green eyes. "Oh I assume you're Rachel's new friend, it's nice to meet you, I'm Tensei Ida."
The girl stood up to shake Tensei's hand. "Good morning, my name is Kori Anders of Tamaran, so you are Rachel's other sister with a penis." She said with a smile, making Tensei and Tenya blush from the mention of penises.
Rachel just sighs. "Kori, I keep telling you, there is a difference between a brother and a sister." She said.
"Oh yeah, my apologies Rachel.
"Wow, you don't tell me you and you're friend are now on first-name bases?" Tenya asks confused about the situation.
"Well, I was informed when I came into two whales after seeing Kori." Hitoshi turns to Rachel. "Kori asked me to call her by her first name too, she included mentioning other things such as a Hero school and a family member, that I assume only Rachel knows among the Ida siblings."
'So Kori told Shinso too… the subject about Ketsubutsu and Kori's sister has been mentioned earlier when we were here… It's not my right, to share it with my brothers, Tensei especially.' Rachel thought. 'I don't want Ingenium to have a villain fight against Kori's sister, whatever her villain name is?"
She sat down next to Shinso, while Tenya had no choice but to seat with Kori.
It was hilarious to see Tenya being all flustered and red, like how someone just at a very spicy meal and can't handle it.
*Ring* *Ring*
The four teens heard a cell phone ringing, and they all turned to Tensei.
"Excuse me, but I just need to take this call, why not order whatever you guys want I'll be paying," Tensei said as he leaves the diner.
The four teens sat there awkwardly, their eyes just on the menu. Rachel knew what she wanted to order, it was just there was a weird tension within the table. She should have texted head that her brothers are joining. She didn't think of it, because of her brothers' conversation about dating, and she wanted to avoid the subject, she felt like a little kid who didn't like the kissing scene from a movie.
Originally the plan was just for her and her friends to have a nice breakfast before school.
Then she recalls that Tensei was originally to meet someone here. Looking around, there are not a lot of customers, some are local and by the looks of it, some are here for their takeout, like that blond over there with the black lighting bolt.
"Order Up for Kaminari D!"
"That's me, Thanks!"
Now, it is just the locals and them.
She recalls that Tenya wanted to join them for Breakfast, and she wonders why.
'Wait, I Tenya planning to… Confess to Kori?!' Rachel's thoughts start to spiral. 'I don't know what I would feel about my brother and my best friend dating, I should be happy, but I oddly feel weird… Would Tenya feel the same if his best friend confess their feelings to me, his sister?'
Then Rachel starts to imagine a scenario of her brother confessing his feelings to Kori.
On the Lunalight night inside Two Whales' Diner, Kori Anders was wearing a red sequin dress, with her red hair tied in a ponytail. There she was ordering her favorite drink.
"One yellow mustard please" Kori ordered the waitress.
"Miss, mustard isn't a beverage." said the shaking diner server.
"Dumbass, I demanded, Mustard!" She slammed her fist demanding her beverage
Kori felt tapping behind her back to see Rachel's brother, wearing a yellow tuxedo and a yellow bow tie, he was handing her a lipstick made of mustard.
"Looking for mustard, sexy," Tenya said handing her lipstick.
Looking at the lipstick, Kori blushed and gives him his sexual charms on him by placing her hand on his chest as she whispers in his ear. "You know, I think you're sister won't improve to what we're going to do with the mustard."
Tenya puts the mustard lipstick on his lips as he whispers back to her. "Do you want the mustard, or not?" he teased her sexually by touching her thighs.
Kori moans couldn't resist the lipstick on Tenya's lips as she rips off his shirt exposing his chest, while Tenya unzips Kori's dress.
As their lips get closer and closer.
'OKAY, JUST STOP! JUST STOP! THAT IS GETTING TOO FAR, AND TOO SEXUAL. HE'S MY BROTHER AND SHE'S MY FRIEND!" Rachel thought as she slowly calms down. "Alright, there is nothing wrong if they date, as Tenya's friend, and Kori's friend. I give them my blessing to date.' she has enough of her imagination spiraling.
Her days are about to get weird as her brother breaks the silence. 'Oh no, Tenya is going to confess, and Kori is going to be his girlfriend. Be strong Rachel, be strong.' She thought.
"I have to say, I should apologize to you three." Tenya started, catching Rachel off guard. "I assume the three of you had your plans for breakfast. I shouldn't ask Rachel to tag along, I feel like the fourth wheel of this booth." he finishes creating more awkward tension within the booth.
Shinso breaks the silence. "No, You didn't make it awkward at all, we just planned to have breakfast before school. "Coming to Two Whales' was more of a last-minute suggestion."
Kori continued for Shinso. "Yup, after friend Rachel gave, Ono's homework yes she suggest having breakfast here at Two Whale's." Kori turned to her friend. "Oh, Rachel how was the trip to Yumi Ono's house?"
Rachel wanted to avoid the topic of Ono. Yesterday she didn't feel like a superhero, she felt like a superzero instead. She felt like she makes Ono feel worst instead of helping her.
She hits a roadblock, she still has clue how to help Ono.
Perhaps the video of Ito bullying Ono would help Ono? Like showing it to the school principal? Would that even work?
It is a better idea than reporting it to the police or the pro heroes. The idea was too extreme, though Ono wasn't wrong. From Ono's description of the video, it was just her kissing multiple boys. Then again, the video wasn't technically child pornography, unless even with clothes on and with the subject of kissing would that be considered child pornography?
She doesn't know, teen stars on TV and in Anime show teenagers kissing on TV and streaming sites, and those are family-friendly and not considered porno.
That is why she hit a roadblock. Rachel doesn't know how to truly help Ono, She knows she isn't truly close to Ono. Their relationship is not more than simple classmates since the first year of Junior High.
Though, it's a Hero's job to help those who are in need, even if their friends or strangers.
Rachel sighs that she has to respond to her friends about what happened yesterday at Ono's place. She could just give them the vague answer of, 'Fine.'
At least with Fine, it still hides what truly happened.
Before Rachel could reply, One of the waitresses of Two Whales' brought them a hot fresh coffee pot. Rachel, Tenya, and Kori recognize the waitress, Hitoshi on the other hand tries to hide his face because he recognizes this waitress since he was born.
The waitress was a woman no older than 32. She was a slightly chubby woman, with short lavender-colored hair similar to Shinso's hair color. Her haircut was short but her bangs were combed down.
"Well, it's so nice to see Tosh-Tosh's friends eating breakfast with him."
"Mom! Please don't call me Tosh-Tosh in public!" Shinso cried at his mom.
"Now, Tosh-Tosh, that isn't how I raise you. No yelling on the table."
Rachel gave her a small wave, "Good morning Joyce." greeting her. "You look lovely today."
"Well, Rachel ain't you a sweetie pie as always, remind me of an old girl pal of mine," Joyce replied. "I overheard the little chat with Tosh-Tosh and Kori, That you kiddos are using first names now, doesn't that mean you and my son are going to use each other first name now too?"
The two friends shared a look, they know each other since the start of junior high, and their now their seniors. They think it's a good time for their friendship to take the next.
"I mean, I've been calling you Rachel since I met your brother, and I already call him Tenya since we met. I think you can call me by my first name." Shinso said.
"Sister, I think he has point, I think it is time to address him by his first name." Tenya played along.
"Yes, say the first name ~~oohh this is just exciting," Kori said gleefully.
Kori continues to cheer for Rachel to say Shinso's first name for the first time. She loves Shinso, he is her first best friend, since meeting the Ida family, the children of the orphanage didn't want to be friends with her because she was a late bloomer when it came to her quirk. Saying his first name means that their close, and Shinso is been such a good friend since they met, and started to call her by her first name.
"Fine, and no I'm saying it's not because I'm being pressured, but rather I want to because you're my friend, as much as Kori." She turns to look at her male friend directly. "Hi, Hitoshi."
Hitoshi smiled. "Finally, It took you three years to finally say my name," he said smiling at Rachel.
"Don't mind me asking, there is a story here. How did you two become friends?" Kori asks her friends.
"That's a good story Kori, but that can wait for another time, let me just say, it had to do with a school project that we end up doing.-
"And failing." Rachel continued for Hitoshi. "For now, all I want is breakfast before we go to school." Rachel said as she is ready to order.
"Rachel is right, So what would it be then?" Joyce said as she get her pen ready.
Hitoshi went first, "Mom, I'll have one egg, sunny-side-up, and breakfast sausage, as for my drink, mom, black coffee." he said.
"Joyce, I'll have Waffles and bacon, and I'll just have water for me." Rachel said. "Brother, what's your order?"
"I'll have the number four, the two burger patties and mush potatoes. I'm starving since my morning workout, oh, and I'll have orange juice for me, Joyce." Tenya said.
"Alright, what about you, little missy, do you want your regular?" Joyce asks Kori.
"Yes, I'll have my regular, including my drink, Mustard," Kori said, making Tenya cough.
"You drink mustard?" Tenya asks.
Kori just flew around the diner expressing her love of mustard. "Yes, love it so much, It is the best beverage since I came to Eart– I mean, Japan. ~~Mustard is just the bee's knees." Kori said in glee. The teens are just glad that Kori's flaming hair didn't set the fire alarms.
*Ding*
Tenya got a text message, and as he checked, he notice it was from his sister, Annoyed, he decided to play along as he read the text.
Rachel: Do you still have a crush, on my friend?
Tenya rolled his eyes as he replied.
Tenya: Sis, I'm not shallow. Look, I get it, you're not happy that I have a crush on Kori, but my feeling are now, is just a crush, maybe it's just a fling and it won't last long. We're not even dating and you're already freaking out. Perhaps just take a chill pill.
Rachel didn't reply.
She starts to feel awful. Her brother is right, it's not the end of the world if they dated. Maybe she should sail the TenKori Ship? KorYa Ship?
Whatever their ship's name is, she'll happy for them.
Moments later their food arrived, and the four friends had a good time chatting to each other about their plans for tomorrow's off-day.
At some point, Tensie went back inside from the dinner and had a chit-chat with Joyce, about something that the teens didn't hear.
As the four friends were talking. Until Rachel got a phone call.
*Ring* Ring*
"I have to answer this phone call, I'll be right back." Rachel said as she step outside of the dinner to get some privacy.
"Hello, this is Rachel Ida, how can I help you?" Rachel said to the caller.
"Hello, Ida-san, You may not remember me from yesterday, woof, but this is Yumi Ono's father TJ Ono calling."
Rachel paused, she was not expecting to get a phone call from Ono's father, especially since she left her crying. "Gee, umm, yes I remember you, Mr. Ono. I'm sorry to ask you, but how did you know my phone number?"
"Oh, I'm friends with you're father at the PTA, he gave me your number… However, the reason why I called you, I was wondering if you have seen Yumi this morning, She isn't in her room, I think she went to school early, thinking she is feeling much better now. However, as a father, I'm worried about my daughter, she's not answering her phone, So, I decided to call you, being her current available friend in town. So, I ask again, have you seen Yumi this morning."
Rachel paused for a second, as she feels the weight on her chest and starts to take deep breaths. "I didn't see her at all this morning, but if she was in school, s-she would be there…"
'Right?' Rachel thought starting to worry much more for Ono.
"Woof, I hope you're right, As a father, I couldn't help but worry, I don't know what to tell my wife, she's currently in Gotham City… Dear Lord, please keep my daughter safe…" TJ said sobbing at the other end. "Sorry, I'm an emotional mess, I should look for her. Bye."
As the phone call ended, Rachel starts to breathe heavily as her thoughts of worry started to spiral. 'What the fuck, what is happening? Ono, please be safe.' Rachel thought.
Fifteen Minutes have passed. Location: Moira Queen Junior High.
Tensei has dropped off, Rachel and her friends at their school.
"Alright, here we are now, Moira Queen Junior High." Tensei lowers his window to talk to his sister. "Rachel, have a good day, remember I'll be picking you and Tenya up for some quirk training."
"Thanks, Tensei for the ride and for paying for the meal." Rachel said.
"Yeah, Tensei thanks for paying for our food." Hitoshi thanked Tensei.
"You're welcome Hitoshi and Kori, take care of my sister for me," he said as she starts to drive off. "SIS! MAKE GOOD CHOICES, I LLOOVVEE YYOOUU!"
Rachel gave a fake smile embarrassed that the school heard her brother say, 'I embarrassingly love you. "I– I'm just going to text him later, hehe," she said, faking her laugh.
As the three teens walk toward the school. Rachel and Hitoshi looked at the outfit of every student who was wearing today on a non-uniform day. Rachel wasn't kidding the teenagers of Moira Queen Junior High's outfit looked like they just came out from a CW teen drama tv series, like Riverdale, but without the murder.
Like, one of the girls was wearing a very expensive jewel ladybug brooch, one of the guys was wearing a 200-dollar designer sweater, and is that a Gucci purse?
Like, is their Saturday Classes secretly New York Fashion week?
"Geez, I know I don't care what I wear, but it feels like people or judging?" Hitoshi said feeling insecure.
"I think it's the fashion club, are the one judging. I still wonder how they're still a club since the year?" Rachel asks.
"Do they make their clothes, or is the whole point of the club, shopping for clothes online with the school money?"
"I don't know and I don't care." Rachel said as they finally went inside.
Entering the school Rachel looked around, seeing that the students has their spirits up for the upcoming Basketball meet. It would be Aldera Junior High's Pumas, versus Moira Queen Junior High's Arrows. Rachel should also show her school spirit, she might buy an Arrow green headband.
Though she's into sports, the last couple of days have been a bummer, maybe showing her school spirit would change the mood.
"Hey, Hitoshi, Kori, I was wondering if you guys… want to watch the b-basketball game on Monday?" She said struggling to smile.
"Uh, you want to watch the basketball game?" Hitoshi asks. "I thought you were not a fan of sports? I mean we do watch the Sports Festival on TV, but a sport like a Basketball is total boredom to you, heck, last year's second event of the Sports Festival was a basketball game, you decided not to watch the second event and decided to read a book."
Rachel's sweat dropped remembering she did read a book during last year's second event of the sports festival. So she tried firing back. "Well, last year's tournament fights were just awful too… like seriously it was pogo sticks and a kendo sword. That was the most awkward fight ever. " Rachel said.
"True, but we enjoy watching the parody video that someone made on MyTube. With every hop was fart noise." Hitoshi remembers laughing at the funny video parody video of last year's Sports Festival third event.
Rachel just sighs, knowing she needs to give her reasons why she wants to see the Basketball game this Monday. "Look, I'm having been having a bad couple of days. I was thinking maybe seeing the basketball game and being part of the school spirit would change my mood a bit. I know I don't like sports, I just want to have fun and I want to do it with my friends."
Hitoshi just sighs. "Alright, why the hell not? But if you end up seeing it as boring, we can still catch a movie at your place," he said understanding her friend.
"Yeah, I would like to join you two too," Kori added.
Rachel thought of it and thought Hitoshi has a point. Maybe movie night would be a good mood change. "Hitoshi, can we forget the whole Basketball idea? Maybe movie night tonight after training sounds like a better idea, rather than having it on Monday."
"MFlix it is then." Hitoshi and Kori said in unison.
Rachel rubs her arm, not because she is embarrassed asking her friends to go to the basketball game. Is because she feels something new and unexplainable. It feels weird and abnormal probably it had to do with her quirk, or maybe she feels burned out and stressed. She calls it abnormal and thinks it may have to do with her quirk because subconsciously it feels like her powers are telling her to go somewhere.
She's not sure if she should listen to it, or ignore it.
If she ignores it, she'll be at her homeroom classroom and do the usual Saturday classes and go her merely way.
Though, if she does end up listening, would it be bad?
Maybe she should listen to it, it's her quirk after all, and no one else. She should investigate, she needs to give an excuse to her friends.
"Hey, Hitoshi, and Kori. You guys go ahead to the classroom, I'll be going to the ladies' room." Rachel said.
"Sure, we'll see you in class," Hitoshi said, as he and Kori goes to the classroom.
Rachel took a couple of deep breaths, she was feeling something that she was always having trouble suppressing this emotion. The emotion of fear, well not exactly fear, but the emotion she feeling is around that circle.
Rachel decided to go where her quirk is telling her to go.
'This unknowing feeling is almost like I need to be there, like am needed to be there. This better is worth it.'
Hitoshi was having a weird morning.
Well, weird as in different from his normal routine, not weird like he suddenly woke up and found a third nipple on his chest. No, nothing like that.
Maybe he was just adjusting to the fact that his friends would start calling him by his first name. Nah, that ain't it. Maybe he is just feeling the mode, He is still adjusting and getting used to training his body to be in shape for the Hero Course in U.A. and of course to score himself a boyfriend as soon as he gets his abs, biceps, and his pecs.
Right now, as much as he wants a boyfriend, he would want to get over today's class.
Hitoshi and Kori finally reach their classroom on the third floor, he went to tell to his teacher that Rachel is there and that she went to the ladies' room, his there just replied as long that Rachel was able to enter the classroom before the doors close, she doesn't see a problem then.
It was just a normal school day routine, He sat down and place his back page on the side of his desk, and he hears the chit-chat among his classmates, Ms. Nobara is writing down today's lecture for homeroom. It just feels like a normal school day.
"YO, SOME CRAZY SHIT IS HAPPENING OUTSIDE YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!" A student burst out shouting at their classroom.
"Mr. Long! Please do not interrupt my class like that ever again." However, no one listened to the teacher as every student decided to head outside of school to see 'The Crazy Shit.'
Once outside by the outdoor eating area. It suddenly started raining very heavily.
Hitoshi hears the cries of the other students, he wasn't sure why they were–
"Oh, X'Hal!"
"Kori, what is it?" Kori didn't answer he just looked towards where Kori was looking up, and he did.
His eyes widen in shock to see what it was, "Oh my god!"
What he saw was, Yumi Ono on the edge of the roof.
"Is this for real?"
"Please don't jump."
"Someone call 911, or call a Pro Hero!

Yumi had enough.
She couldn't take it anymore.
For the last couple of weeks, she has been seeing every dirty comment about her make-out video about all of those boys she kiss when she was drunk. She went to the party not to have fun, to distract from the pain of a friend moving away. Yumi never thought she would end up being on a pornsite.
Every dirty comment she read, felt like a stab to her soul.
She tried asking Ito to take down the video, but she doesn't care, she liked that the video was popular and getting more likes every minute. I feel tangled and sticky because my video is on the website. No wonder why they call it a web, I feel like a fly and every viewer were a spider, and they're not there to eat me, but to make fun of me.
I don't know what else I can do. I tried talking to Ida about taking my case to the Pro Heroes, but it feels like she doesn't care, no one cares about me.
That's why I'm going to end it.
She looked down to see how high she was, and she saw the student body. Here to watch the main event. If they want a show, I'll give them the main event, and there is nothing is going to stop me–
"Ono."
Yumi turned around to see someone else is with her on the roof, and this person was the last person she thought she be seeing ever again.
"Ida, why are you doing here?"
Ono, was right why was she doing here?
Rachel had no clue that the abnormal feeling would bring her up to the roof, and to see Ono standing by the edge.
She decided to take a step, she has to save Ono, from jumping off the roof.
"Stop! Don't come near me." Ono replies. "Seriously Ida, don't come near me, or, I will jump."
Rachel stopped as Ono requested, she was feeling a lot scared, and she doubted that she could save Ono.
She has to try. "Alright, Ono, I'm right here. Ono Please."
"Did you come here to take a video, as Ito did? I can see it, you be the next trending fresh online star!" Ono asks in an angry tone.
"What– No, I'm not like that Ono, Please, you have to believe me. Like I know you don't want to jump." Rachel replied.
"No, I don't believe you, and yes, I do want to jump, my life is over." Ono sadly replies.
Rachel took a small step forwards. "Ono, you're life is still yours and we can get through this together, let me help," she said in concern.
"Oh, like yesterday when I ask for your help, by reporting Ito to the Pro Heroes?" Ono asks sounding piss.
"I am so sorry, Ono, I wanted to say yes, but I got scared." Rachel said honestly as she took another small step. Rachel could see that she's is starting to believe her.
"I know, it can be scary and I am scared too."
"Now, I'm with you, we both know it was Kaito it was the one who did this to you, and will make her pay." Rachel said ensuring Ono that she'll get the help that she needed as she took another small step.
"I don't understand, why do you suddenly want to help me?!" Ono asks.
"Is because you're my friend, Ono, I care about you… I know it's hard to believe, but I do care about you, that's why I'm here now, to help you." Rachel said as she took another step.
"I'm glad that you worried about me, that makes me feel better. " Ono said starting to calm down.
"Of course I worried, I'm your friend." Rachel starts to tear up, as she takes another step.
"It feels like, you listened, when we talk yesterday, it always me feel better."
"Ono, Please trust me, stand by me okay, you know deep down that I care, yesterday after school I erase the web link to the video, it was in the girl's changing room on the mirror." Rachel said recalling what she did yesterday.
"Seriously? Thank you so much, the fact that you didn't care about the video and the fact you come up here to stop me, means a lot." Ono started to cry a lot more.
"Ito is going to pay for what she did, if you come down with me, I know this time I can help you," Rachel said as she took another small step."Ono, I believe you, Will you believe me?"
Rachel started to cry, "Please you don't have to do this."
"Ida, I'm in a nightmare and I can't wake up unless I put myself to sleep. Then everybody can post pics of my body. No wonder they call it a web, not could ever get out, like my video. I wish I can go back in time and change everything." Ono cried.
Rachel could see Ono's despair from her quirk, she has to give Ono hope again. "Yumi, this is our chance to beat the bullies, it is the only way to win against them, against Ito." She cried ensuring Yumi with hope, starting by calling her by her first name.
"Can we? I don't believe in miracles anymore." Yumi said in a defeated tone.
"Now, I do, and you're the reason why, if you come down with me, I can tell you more." Rachel said.
"You can be such a good person… Rachel, even though you can be full of crap." Yumi replied as her emotion of despair starts to dim.
Rachel takes a step, now they're in fount of each other. "Can we hug on it?" she offers Yumi. hoping she would hug her.
"No, nobody cares about me, nobody!" Yumi replied angrily.
"That's not, true, I talked to your dad on the phone. He was concerned and loves you with no question, he was scared not knowing where you are." with every word that Rachel spoke, Yumi's lips starts to tremble. "Also, I may not know them, but you're siblings truly care about their big sister, and it's not just them either. "Rachel paused before letting out what she saw yesterday. "Yumi, I read that letter from your cousin, N. He was very worried about you when he learned about the video, and he was so excited to see you, again."
Yumi's lips start to tremble from the mention of her family members.
"If your whole family is here right now, I'm sure they want a hug from you?" Rachel said as she let out her tears. "T-This isn't the end for you Yumi, There is no way that God has no big plans for you."
"Nice try, Rachel, but God put me on this roof," Yumi said, angrily.
Then Rachel remembered what she search for yesterday, which was written in Yumi's cousin's letter. After learning what it meant, it was surely very important to Yumi.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Rachel recited.
"That's Matthew 11:28, I can't believe you quote one of my favorite bible passages," Yumi said smiling after hearing it from her friend.
Rachel offers a hand to Yumi, offering her life, over death.
Then Yumi did take the offer as she fell into Rachel's arms as they hug. "I'm sorry… sorry."
Then Rachel gave a small chuckle, "What are you talking about, You save me from talking in class." she said letting out all her tears.
Moments later.
Rachel was able to calmly bring down Yumi off the roof. The school had called the ambulance and Mr. Ono.
Rachel witnessed, Yumi's father in tears as he hugged his daughter. He cried saying that he so the sighs, but he didn't do anything to help her, besides giving her space and food. No one could have blamed the father, in all honesty, they could have done the same thing, believing it may have been the right thing to do.
Though Raven thought that he shouldn't blame himself, as she could only watch as the Ono family enter the ambulance and possible go to the closest hospital to treat Yumi, for almost committing suicide.
An event that no one thought, nor want to happen anytime, anywhere, any day. They could simply have a good day, expecting nothing bad is going to happen. However, despair works in mysterious ways sometimes, just like a day like today.
No one wanted to see Yumi Ono, to try to take her on life, nobody wanted that.
Life is fucking Strange.
After the ambulance has left. The school was dismissed, and every student went home.
However, Rachel Ida was asked to stay, to ask her some questions at the Principal's office.
That's where is now. Sitting in front of the school principal, she was given a towel to dry off, now she was told to wait as they were waiting for someone to come in.
Sitting down at a comfy chair, their school principal offered her hot tea, which she took, to help her calm down.
Rachel's mind was spiraling, and her emotions are everywhere. It would be normal and okay for other people to sometimes for their emotions to spiral. Though not for her, not especially an empath like Rachel Ida, Who's own quirk requires her own emotions to be suppressed and calmed.
Which is very difficult after the events that happened moments ago, her thoughts and emotions are everywhere, all at once, wanting her sole attention on the stage. Each emotion and thought was fighting for the spotlight, and when they don't have the sport light under them they would interrupt each other by being so loud.
If Rachel was quirkless, she was every right to feel this way, However, because she isn't quirkless. She tries to calm her emotions and thoughts the best way she could.
She took out her smartphone and plug her ears with her noise-canceling headset. Normally, she wouldn't need the help of her smartphone, but right now she is desperate enough to be needing it.
So she can meditate, she has an app to help her meditate. She scrolls down and found the type of meditation she needs. To help her cope with her emotions and thoughts. Anxiety meditation.
She then crosses her legs and has both hands facing the sky as the program starts on her phone.
She starts the session, as the instructor was instructing her to do what they want her to do, and to imagine what they were suggesting. She even started to do her breathing exercises.
It was Doctor Leslie Thompkins who advised her to meditate, during their sessions back in Gotham. Though, what happened today, she may want to talk and have a one-on-one section with Doctor Thompkins, especially since she is her psychotherapist after all.
She listened to the instructions, telling her she just have to focus on what was happening now, and she should be doing anything else at to moment, just focus on herself and breathing. The instructor was right. The event that happen on the roof already happen, and she saved a life today. There were no supervillains that she had to fight, She didn't have to do it in the way that Ingenium or All Might had to do it. She was just Rachel Ida, and Rachel Ida saved Yumi Ono, her friend. She didn't jump, she isn't dead, and she is still alive with her family at the hospital.
Now she is just in the principal's office, and with her is the principal herself. There is a nice relaxing tea meant to calm her. She could just have her emotions and thought during the stage play, it didn't mean she has to be on the stage with them, her thought and emotions are just the back of her mind, and their not the center of attention.
Doctor Thompkins once said to her that pain is inevitable suffering is optional. They felt all the emotions back on the roof and it was pain full. Now that Yumi and I are in a safe place, I want to stop suffering, as Rachel continues to do her breathing excises and once again put her emotions at the back of her head where it belongs.
As her session is about to end, her instructor tells her to wiggle her fingers and toes, shake her shoulders, and gently open her easily as slowly as she can.
There was a pregnant silence, as the School principal cut the awkwardness. "How are you feeling, Ms. Ida?"
Principal Morris, was an African descent woman, around her mid 40's. Her appearance makes her unique due to her quirk because was born with only one eye, located where her mouth is supposed to be, and her mouth is where her eye was supposed to be. She was also wearing your standard business suits that the school principal wears but in orange.
Rachel went to reply to the school principal's question. "I think, I'm fine now." She said why rubbing her hands. "I mean… I'm— sorry, I–"
"Look, I understand you been through a lot of shit that happened, to the point I'm swearing like a trucker. You have, every right to feel, confused, and spiraling, but let me just say. You did the right thing." Principal Morris said as he pour more tea into her cup. "Please, drink more tea, it would help calm you more."
She went to sip her tea, tasting the relaxing Jasmine. "Thank you so much… I'm somehow processing everything that happened today. I know what happened, I was on the roof with her. Now, that the event is over, I'm having a hard time believing what just happened. Like, it is real? A part of me, just wishes that everything that happened was just a dream. It would be so easy to believe that none of this truly happened because if it was just a fantasy, I can fucking believe that… Though, that isn't the case. Every moment was real… Yumi Ono planned to take her on life… I was there… and I saved her… Now, I don't know what to do, or what to feel." Rachel said. "I think, I should be happy and proud that I saved her… but, I don't know if I deserve the praise, or should I even deserve to be called a hero?"
"It can be normal to feel that way, sis."
Rachel got off her seat and saw a familiar face, as she went to hug him.
"Tensei!" She hugged her brother like he was her lifeline. As her tears start to flow down again letting out all the emotional pain that happened, all that anxiety she felt, towards the thought of, 'what if she wasn't there to save Yumi Ono?'. She was glad that her oldest brother hugged her back.
"Why are you doing here?" Rachel asks him.
"I got a call from your school, I drove here as fast as I can. Mom and Dad are on their way, they're just going to pick up Tenya first." Tensei said. "From what I was saying, it's normal to feel that way, I time to time feel that too, even though I'm a professional hero, I sometimes feel odd like I don't deserve the praise for some saving someone."
He let go of his sister, to introduce himself to Rachel's Principal. "Hello, I am Tensei Ida, I'm Rachel's eldest brother. I'm here because of the incident that happened."
"Of course, nice to meet you Ida sir, I am Principal Toni Morris, the School Principal of Moira Queen Junior High." She gestures to them at the seats. "Please, take a seat, we're just waiting for the other party."
'Other Party? Like who else would be coming here?" Rachel thought, believing this was to discuss her actions that happened today.
They heard knocking on the door. When the door opened, Rachel saw it was her homeroom. Ms. Nobara. "Principal Morris, may I come in?" she asks. The school principal just nodded.
As Ms. Nobara entered, Rachel was surprised at who was right behind her homeroom teacher. "As you see Madame Principal, I brought you, Kaito Ito, and her mother, from my class."
Looking at Ito, she wasn't at her perky self. However, she is not normally gloomy, her long blond her is a mess, and her face shows what she was feeling. Rachel can even see her emotional aura bright and clear, she was feeling guilty.
'I know Kaito Ito is the school's Queen Bitch. Now seeing her like this, she doesn't look like the confident, perky, cheerleader that I got used to seeing for the last three years.' Rachel thought. 'She looks so vulnerable, she so different from how she usually is.'
Ito sat down quietly next to Rachel. While Tensei and Ito's mother stood behind them. "Now, we are all here to discuss a serious matter. Let me reinform you all what happened today." Principal Morris went to explain the matters at hand. "Earlier today, one of our 3rd-year students from Class 3-1, Ms. Nobara's homeroom class. Tried to commit suicide, at exactly 8:47 am today. It was thanks to our student, Rachel Ida talked her out of committing suicide."
Rachel couldn't help by blush from the praise that she was given to her. "I, um?"
"I'm proud of you sis, You should be proud too." Tensei praises his sister.
Rachel just exhales, trying to calm herself. Her brother is right she should be proud for saving a life.
"However, as much as I am proud to one of my students had become a school hero. We are not here to discuss the actions of Ms. Ida's heroic accomplishment." The principal paused. "We are here to talk about a certain viral video that was trending for the last three weeks." The Principal turns her computer monitor around to show them the computer screen.
The screen itself showed a paused video, from a porn site. On the thumbnail, it was a clear photo of a teenage girl, with brunette hair tied in a bun. It was pretty clear to Rachel that the girl on the thumbnail was Yumi Ono.
This was Yumi Ono's viral video that Kaito Ito posted online.
"Now, Kaito Ito, by any chance you know this video?" the Principal asks. Her tone was deep and serious, the school principal isn't joking around, and Ito was in serious trouble.
Rachel thought that Ito would simply lie, to save her ass from getting punished. However, that thought didn't play out.
"T-That's my video, I posted that video of Yumi Ono kissing a bunch of boys, 2 weeks before school, I had a house party, with alcohol." Then, she admitted everything at the party, stuff that Rachel didn't know from Yumi's explanation. She explained she threw a party to get her popularity status back since she was caught being a two-timer last year. She thought having an Adult party with alcohol and getting her party guests secretly drunk, would be her ticket back to being the most popular girl when school returned from Summer vacation.
Ito's mother was furious to learn that her daughter had a house party behind her back and got minors drunk.
Then Kaito explained more, that she had a dumb drunk idea of taking a video of people hooking up, she explained the alcohol was making people horny and their sexual hormones were taking charge. She explained that no one had sex, even with the alcohol, and no one was horny enough to have sex with each other. Until she posted a bunch of boys, making out with Yumi Ono.
She doesn't know why she was kissing the boys, she just assumes it was just hormones and alcohol, and the rest of the story is in that video.
They all watch the video, It was Yumi Ono kissing a bunch of boys. The boys were students from their school. Thankfully they are still wearing their clothes, none of the boys took off their shirts, and the same can be said with their pants. The same thing can be said with Ono. The video ended with Ito laughing.
The principal ended the video, as she sighs. "This viral video is what we believe was the reason why Yumi Ono, tried to commit suicide today, on school grounds no else. It was also the reason why we brought you here today. Kaito Ito." then he looked directly at Ito's mother. "Because the matter of what happened today, and due to the viral video of child pornography, your daughter is in serious trouble, not just her status as a student here, but in legal terms too."
The mother starts to sob, "There must be something that my daughter can do to make up for all she did to Yumi Ono." Ms. Ito cried, and Rachel couldn't help but feel sorry for the Ito family.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Ito, but my hands are tied. Your daughter should have thought of that before posting child pornography online, that is way as my duty as school Principal of Moira Queen Junior High. I Nubia Morris, hereby sentence you Kaito Ito now expelled from this school."

Rachel couldn't believe that Kaito Ito is now expelled. She knows she can be mean, but did it mean she had to be expelled? She thought she would be suspended and would ask to write an apology letter to Yumi Ono. However, that didn't play out.
Then the door opened once again as a police officer came to arrest Ito.
Every moment played so quickly, and Rachel had no choice but to watch as it goes. Tensei went to comfort Rachel, hugging her because this turned south and sour.
Rachel could only hear a few words from the cops, mentioning Kaito's illegal charges, and that she is going to court.
Rachel knows she didn't like Kaito Ito, but she felt terrible for her, thinking that juvie was too much. However, her hands are tied, she cannot do anything but watch as Kaito was taken away by the cops, and her mom was crying seeing her baby girl being arrested.
Rachel wonders, was this suppose to be a happy ending? Because it feels like bullshit.

Izuku Midoriya was tried from his training with All Might.
Now that he is at home and finish his homework. Izuku decided to watch the news to see any Pro Hero news. While his mother was cooking their dinner.
The news didn't show a lot, there was some news about some heroes like Kamui Woods, Death Arms, and Mount Lady working together stopping a villain's attack, There was a mention of the Pro Hero Hawks stopping a drug raid with his sidekicks. Other stuff in the news that ain't hero related there was a Hollywood movie being filmed in Tokyo, starring the Doom Patrol member Rita Farr as the leading lady, a movie remake of that rom-com of, Confession of a Chocoholic.
It just seems like a quiet day to say the least.
Breaking New at Mustafa.
Izuku perks an interest in the news.
Good evening, this is Junior High TV Reporter, Lois Lane reporting. Earlier this morning at Moira Queen Junior High, located here at Mustafa. A fourteen-year-old, Yumi Ono, tried to commit suicide. Video footage from the smartphones of students has been posted videos. Young Ms. Ono was saved not by a Pro Hero, but by a student.
Fourteen-year-old, Rachel Ida was the one who talked Yumi Ono from committing suicide.
The TV screen showed a school I.D photograph of Rachel Ida. A teenager with Raven colored hair with violet dip dye, with amethyst colored eyes, and pale white skin due to her American Nationality.
Ms. Ida brought down Ms. Ono. to safety to reunite her with her father. Rachel Ida, you are a local hero. From the Ono family and all of us from Japan, we want to say thank you, for saving Yumi Ono. You are a true hero.

Izuku was amazed by this Rachel Ida, for saving Yumi Ono, She did a similar act to how he did a week ago when he tried to save Kacchan from the Sludge villain, and what's interesting is she did it without using her quirk, just her heart.
"She is a true hero," Izuku muttered under his breath.

An hour later at the Ida estate.
It's been a long day for Rachel.
She saved a life, and watch someone get arrested.
It was a lot to take in.
Rachel was in her room, now wearing her sleepwear of a black tee shirt of a raven and violet sweat pants with patterns of raven feathers on them.
Her family couldn't stop praising her when they met at school and during dinner. They even bought Rachel take-out from her favorite restaurant and dessert place. Fat Belly Burgers, and her favorite waffle place.
Now, she had enough of the praising for one day, she isn't some praising-obsess-moron, who believes that they are above everyone and that they're going to be the best of the best.
'God, I won't meet someone like that.' Rachel thought.
Knock, knock.
"Come in." Rachel said, as her brothers come in. "Hey sis, are you alright?" Tenya asks.
"It's been one hell of a day?" she replied.
"Hella? The brothers ask.
"It's some kind of slang from Hitoshi." Rachel said. "Anyways, why are you guys here?"
"Nothing, we just want to check on you, as siblings do," Tensei said. "How, how does it feel like a hero?" he asks.
Rachel rubs her arm, "I feel weird, like weird-weird. It the kind of weird that I'm having trouble processing. I saved my friend's life today. I feel like I'm dreaming, everything happened so fast. I feel like, all of it wasn't real, It feels like a fantasy." she said, explaining what she felt the best way she could.
Tensei places his arm over her shoulder making her feel comfortable. "Trust me, it gets easier once… The both of you have become pro Heroes." He said.
Rachel has to tell her brothers, about her anxiety about being a Pro Hero. "I want to confess to both of you, This morning and a few days ago, I was starting to doubt the idea of becoming a Pro Hero. Before today, I tried my best to help Yumi, and with every attempt like yesterday, I feel like I was a failure, this morning, I thought that I should quit before UA."
Confessing about her anxiety isn't easy for her, especially with a family of Pro Heroes. Saying that you don't want to be a Pro Hero anymore. Was hard for Rachel to confess. She doesn't know how would her family react to her confession.
Now that her confession is out, why would happen now?
"Wow, that is a big confession," Tensei said.
"Well, a confession is still a confession. Though, I don't know if we can call it big?" Tenya said.
"Look, see, we won't hate you if you don't want to be a Pro Hero, confessing that you don't to be a Pro Hero isn't the end of the world," Tensei said smiling at her. "However, are you sure you want to give the dream up?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I think what our brother is saying, what you did today, saving your friend's life shows that subconsciously, you want to be a hero." Tenya smiled.
"Even, if you chose to end the dream here and now. It doesn't change the fact that you were a Hero today. Look, you don't have to beat up villains or save a cat from a tree, but you did save a life. That is pretty hero-like. "
"You two think, I can be a Pro Hero?" Rachel asks.
"We don't just think, we believe you can… You just to believe in yourself again." Tenya said encouraging his sister to be a Pro Hero.
Rachel starts to wonder, is her brother right? Did she lose her faith in herself?
She saved a life today, She saved her friend. True, she had her doubts, but she dared to be on that roof and had the wisdom to say the right words.
Maybe– No, Her brothers are right, she just has to believe in herself once again. She dared to walk up to Yumi, and she can have that courage again.
"You guys are right, I just need to believe in myself again. I can be a Pro Hero. I guess need a name." Rachel said. "I'm pretty sure I can't call myself, Ingenium."
"I have to agree with her, Tensei, She cannot call herself, Ingenium, Ingenium Woman, or Ingenium Girl," Tenya said marking all the names.
"True, Ingenium is non-binary, but if Nemuri Kayama was her, she would say that Rachel's quirk and the Ingenium name won't make sense, even though Ingenium the word means talent in Latin," Tensei said. "Don't worry Rachel, I know you'll figure out a name." then he glance at the tee shirt that she was wearing. "Such as the name Raven."
Rachel just gave him a weird look.
"I know, the name sounds weird, but I'm just joking," he said defending the name.
"No, it's not that… It's weird, but the name Raven just sounds familiar."
"Familiar how?" Tenya asks.
"Familiar, like I'm supposed to remember it, like before my accident, back in my old life before my amnesia." Rachel said, feeling confused.
"Uh, maybe it's a trigger like maybe you had a pet raven before the accident?" Tenya asks.
"I don't know what it is, but I'm craving ice cream, do you guys want, ice cream," Tensei said, offering his siblings for ice cream.
"Sure, ice cream sounds nice about now." Rachel said.
"Me too, ice cream sounds awesome right now," Tenya said as they head to the kitchen.
At San Fransisco, America.
There was a man on his desk, watching the Japanese news on his tablet. On the news, there was a mention of a junior high student who tried to commit suicide.
To anyone else, they would feel sorry for the young student.
However, a man such as himself, an acolyte of the church of Skath, would have pushed her off the room.
However, the suicidal girl isn't the one who caught his interest, rather it was the savior who caught his interest.
As he went to order his assistant. "Please, tell my pilot to ready my private jet, I decided to move our operations of the church of Skath to Musutafu Japan. I have located the Gem."
"Yes, Brother Blood."
Wow, that was a heavy subject to write about.
Anyways this is the last chapter of my original arc. I have to admit, a lot of the elements in this chapter were based on the video game, Life is Strange.
Now, that the arc has ended. The fanfic would finally be heading to My Hero Academia territory, because next chapter would be the Entrance Exam.
