I was reading my book as quietly as I wished, trying to imagine every word turning into a visual novel that only existed in my head.
However, that was harder than I thought since the rest of my classmates were chattering about the mysterious new teacher that would teach our class.
Hero Basics 101. What is it? I don't know.
Do I care?
Well, not enough. Unlike the rest of my classmates.
My dear big brother Tenya, is waiting patiently, such as the dork he is, Ochaco stood up and went to talk to the other girls, the one in pink and the frog girl. It seems that Ochaco was more of a social butterfly, while I'm a bookworm. Denki was chatting with the red-headed guy in front of me, the girl who has similar hair as me, but with earphone jacks had a quirk, and the guy sitting next to me, the one with the tape arms, as they made bets wondering would be the new teacher. I overheard Denki wanting the new teacher to be the new Pro Hero from America, Static, from Dakota City.
Lastly, Izuku was very nervous for some reason. His face shows his nervousness and his aura glowing.
Perhaps from a sense of that Hero Basic 101, aren't your ordinary classes from general studies, subjects like social studies, or algebra? I mean, I'm nervous too, reading is a good outlet but I couldn't do any reading with all of this chatter.
"Hey, Iida R! Do you have a sec?"
I put down my book to see who called my name, to see it was the girl with the earphone jacks. "Yes… Umm."
"It's Jiro, in case you forget my name." the girl said.
"Jiro, I told you to call her Rachel," Denki said, reminding their classmates. "Remember, Tenya and Rachel prepare to be called by their first name because they share the same family name."
'Thank you, Denki.' Earlier during homeroom, My brother and I told our class to call ourselves by our first names, so we won't be confused when being called by our family name. Mr. Aizawa even allowed us to be called by our first names, even though Japanese schools are not traditional.
"Please, you can call me Rachel," I said to Jiro, having the girl raise a brow.
"Sorry, I'm not used to calling someone by their first name, especially since we're not personally close." she blushed vermillion. "I mean, look it's only been the second day, and from what I saw, you're quite a chill chick."
'Chill chick.' Woah those are new words that I never thought to be called.
"Anyways, we were just talking, but who do you think is the mysterious new Teacher, teaching Hero Basics 101," Jiro asks.
"I don't care who could be." Rachel said, giving the four other teens blinking from awkwardness, they were staring at her like some oddball.
It was the guy with weird elbows who broke the silence. "Uh, not the response I was thinking… like you don't have a single guess who could the Pro Hero could be?"
"Nope, not even a single thought," I said but made my peers' awkward silence.
'Is it something that I said, or do I have spinach stuck on my tooth? Why does it look like I just murdered their beloved pet or something?' As she dislikes that she is socially awkward with her new peers. 'Does, Denki sees me, as an oddball?'
"Hey-hey now. y'alls cool, don't fret friends surely class should start any minute now." Rachel was glad that Denki cooled things down with his confident words, as the other teens just went back to wait for the mystery teacher.
*Hello Megan!*
Crack!
I felt embarrassed as I forgot to change my ringtone to the default setting ringtone of my cellphone. Especially since my ringer volume was high, and everyone heard my, Hello Megan ringtone. I got embarrassed enough for my quirk to create a small crack in the small window near Aizawa's desk.
I checked my phone and turn the switch to silent mode. Then I saw there was a text message from D. Kaminari. He was wondering if I was alright during the discussion with Jiro, The elbows guy, and the redhead.
D. Kaminari: Woah, did a bird crush the window, and made that crack?! I hope birdie is ok?
I'm not sure what to say to Denki. I don't want him and everyone knows I cause the window to crack because of my quirk. I'm already a social oddball, I don't want people to see me as, creepy.
Growing up, restraining myself from feeling any emotions, fucking sucks. I can't be too happy, too sad, too mad, or any emotion at all. It makes me feel, odd to my peers. To the point, they would want to stay away from them or be their punching bag for insults. I've been called, Freak, Creep, and a Witch saying my quirk is so creepy that I was worst than a villain, rather as a Witch.
I need to reply to Kaminari, I don't want to go have him hanging.
R. Iida: Yeah, I'm cool.
'Was cool the right responds?' Rachel thought to wonder.
D. Kaminari: Alright then, You seem nervous when talking to Jiro, Sero, and Kirishima.
'I need to give Denki a believable response. I'm not ready to spill the details of my quirk, not yet.' She thought.
R. Iida: I was just, nervous. You know, with meeting new people.

D. Kaminari: Ooh, I get it. I would be nervous too, sorry about that. Anyways if you want to talk, I have two ears to listen to.
R. Iida: L.O.L.
Denki is such a good friend, kinda reminds me of Hitoshi, I'm sure they would be great friends.
I felt my phone vibrating, I saw it was a text message from my brother. I looked at him, his face showed he want a private chat, and it seems like whispering isn't an option.
Brother: Is everything alright?
Sister: Yes.
I have a feeling, he knows about the window.
Sister: Is this about the window?

.
I felt nervous as he finally replied.
Brother: The window? What about the window?!
Brother: …wait… I was convinced that it could be a bird that possibly crash the window, but, it was your quirk, isn't it?
'Shit!' she choked.
Brother: I'm not mad, the situation can't be helped. I'm not going to say, 'control your emotions, little sister!' at this point we may need to the teachers know, and I don't just mean Aizawa. I mean the rest of the teachers that we have a class with. I'm sure Aizawa, Yamada, and Nemuri sensei recall how your quirk work.
Brother: I know, you hate the idea, maybe let our friends and the rest of our classmates know about your quirk when you end up feeling too emotional. I mean, it's unavoidable to feel any emotions after all.
She sighs. Tenya is right, it's inevitable. Sooner or later more small incidents like the window would happen. I can't forever blame the incident on every single birdie.
I nodded to Tenya ensuring him that I would tell them eventually.
After agreeing with my brother, I finally noticed that the classroom chatter was lower down, it got quieter, and even Ochaco returned to her seat.
I have to say, this is quite peaceful.
Until the door slammed open, revealing a very loud hero, with an equal amount of recognition, even I know who this Pro Hero is.
"I have come through the door like a normal person!" cried out All Might.
'That was nowhere near normal. My parents and Tensei are Pro Heroes too, they don't act like that by doing anything.' she thought.
"It's All Might."
"He is here?!"
"Ja-jja-jah." Rachel, couldn't tell if Izuku was nervous, or excited to the point that he could not let out a clear word.
"No, young man. My name is not, Jajajah." There were small giggles from the students. "My name is All Might, and I'll be the teacher of Hero Basic Training! The class that's put you through all sorts of special training, to train you young padawans into Heroes!"
He pauses to search for something in his pockets. " Today's first lesson is." he finally pulls out the object from his pockets. "Battle training!"
Battle training? Is it too early for that? Then again, wasn't there a saying about expecting the unexpected?
Then again, I guess, when is a better time for battle training?
What could go wrong?
"How better to do battle training, is by looking Fa-Bu-Lous!" All Might push a button, showing the back wall suitcases with their family name, and first name initial.
I guess I would look great while kicking ass.

Now here comes the 20 students of class 1A, as All Might turn up the music, and the whole area blasts the music of Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary.

Tenya POV.
I felt proud after changing into my Hero Costume for the first time. But as we exited the changing room, music start blasting from the speaker, giving it that dance club vibe.
It had to be the trending song currently from Tik Tok, due to the hit show on Netflix's Wednesday. Some of my classmates start dancing, such as the pink girl, Ashido, I believe that's her name. She is dancing just like the popular dance.
The song finally stopped, and this was a good time to check out everyone's costumes, I hope everyone took time for their creativity.
I see some of the girls like Ashido and Jiro looking more casual, but I guess it's closer to their personality nothing to do with their quirks.
Kirishima and Sero looked very creative. I guess being shirtless might have to do with Kirishima's quirk, and personality-wise. Sero's costume is very creative and clever, I assume he might be into art.
Now, looking at my friends, I can see Denki. In all honesty, casual in black and white does truly work on him. Also, does his headset do something, communication perhaps?
I blushed after seeing Ochaco, her costume looked way too tight for her… 'What the hell am I thinking? She is my friend, sure she is cute, pretty… I should stop, and see where Izuku and my sister at.'
I don't see Izuku anywhere, I guess, he is having issues with his Hero costume.
As for my sister. I couldn't wait to see her Hero costume, I know Tensei and I would tease her to call herself, Lady Legasus, because of her powerful leg muscles.
She would be a great Pro Hero with the name Hero name of Lady Legasus, I can see her wearing a gold-colored leotard, wearing high heel golden boots.
Now, where is she?
"Hey Brother."
Well, speak of the devil. "There you are Lady— What are you wearing?" I asked her. Seeing that she was wearing a blue hooded cloak and her hoodie that she was wearing shadowed half of her face.
"This is my Hero costume." She said.
I was upset, I was expecting she would wear gold and call herself Lady Legasus, instead, she is a goth Pro Hero in training, it's like All Might decided to have an emo phase at this very second. Though, I'm not too upset. She's my sister. I love her as she is, even if suddenly went to a new phase, in which she dyes her hair pink.
Like the time she dyed her hair sunflower blond.
That's a story for another time.
"This is my costume, I look dark and mysterious just like how I like it." Said Rachel. "Anyways, your costume looks very similar to Dad's Hero costume, or Tensei's hero costume."
I smiled that my sister notice my costume. "Thanks, but this design is my original design," I said to my sister.
"Original design? That is such a lie. An original design would be men's red tights, with yellow lightning bolts to show how fast you are. Your costume is nothing more than a speedster knight. A great hero name for you is, the Scarlet Speedster." She said in her usual sarcastic tone.
"The Scarlet Speedster, uh… It's payback for calling you Lady Legasus. Right?" I ask.
"Just a bit." Then she chuckled, notify it was payback. "Though, you have to admit, calling yourself the Scarlet Speedster sounds badass." Rachel said.
She isn't wrong. "Yeah, it would be badass. Just like Lady–"
"Shaaaddd up–"
"Legasus, hahaha." I chuckled. I accomplish my mission to annoy my sister, as any other big brother would.
"There they are, my favorite brother and sister."
We both turned around to see it was Denki, and with him was Ocacho." Thanks, Denki, you two look great with your Hero costumes too."
"Thanks." Ochaco twirls around to show off her costume. "I have to admit, it's too tight, it's like I'm wearing nothing at all." I'm glad she cannot see me blush under my helmet. "Anyways Tenya, you look way macho wearing all that armor." I blushed more, it felt like my nose is bleeding. "And Rachel, I like your cloak."
"Thanks, your boots are, nice." Rachel said. "Denki, I like your leather jacket, would it be a lot hotter during duty."
Denki just sighs. "Not really, but maybe later when I'm in action, I would be sweaty for sure, more reason to take out my jacket." He said, smooth as ever. "Anyways, have you guys seen Izuku, it feels like everyone is here but not him."
Denki was right, where is our little greenette friend? Until they heard tired footsteps right behind them.
"Hey guys, I'm sorry that I'm late, but I'm here." We all turned around after recognizing Izuku's voice. After seeing him, we tried so hard to hold up our laughter. Because right in front of them was Midoriya that looked like a giant green bunny.
"So what do you guys think of my costume?" Izuku asks his friends.
'OMG, Deku looks like someone's imaginary friend.' Ochaco thought. Holding on to her laughter.
'He looks like, a rejected Digimon, and this is the ultimate form for a Digimon.' Denki thought. Holding on to his laughter.
'Too easy, I can insult him 20 ways, and he won't even cry. Though he still looks funny as fuck.' Rachel thought. Holding on to her laughter.
'Izuku looks like he lost a bet, and was forced to wear that ridiculous costume. Though, if he fucking adores this costume it would be so hilarious." Tenya couldn't hold his laughter any longer. They have to say something.
"You look… gggooooddd." They lied to Izuku's hopeful face. Though their lie didn't last long, no thanks to their shortest classmate.
"HOLY FUCK! MIDORIYA LOOKS SO RIDICULOUS! HAHAHAHA!" Mineta laughed so hard, it made their jaws fall.
I have to stand up for my friend. "Please do not mock Midoriya's costume. I'm sure a fashion company worked hard towards his hero costume, am I right, Midoriya?"
There was a solid pause as Izuku's face turned vermillion. Tenya didn't need to have his sister's quirk to see what Izuku was feeling as the boy let out his words. "Umm actually… my M-M-Mom made my C-C-Costume," he said with a stutter.
Tenya and his friends' sweat dropped as Mineta let out his laughter. We got angry at the little squirt. It was my sister who stood up for Midoriya. "At least he isn't wearing a diaper, Mineta." Rachel said crossing her arms causing her cloak to reveal what she was wearing under her cloak. That caused everyone to pause from what they were doing to give time to stare at my sister.
My sister's outfit under the cloak was a black leotard with long sleeves, by her wrists were blue cuffs, the shade of blue was similar to her cloak, and her shoes too. However, his classmates were not admiring her costume but exposed skin from the waist down. That made the boys blush red, including his two friends Izuku and Denki weren't immune to what my sister had to offer.
"She has legs!" it was Sero who broke the silence, by shouting the obvious, about my sister's legs.
I stare at my sister, I didn't get what was the fuss all about my sister's legs. I gave her the idea if ever she debuts as Lady Legasus I didn't see the problem. I turned to Denki and Izuku, their faces too were, blushing and looking away. I didn't understand why are the boys blushing after looking at my sister's legs.
Until it finally hit him. It might be considered innocent and a joking suggestion to have your legs exposed to be part of a Hero Costume. Back when they were brainstorming ideas for Rachel's hero costume, Tenya didn't think of the impact it could give on other teenage boys who aren't Rachel's brothers, like himself. To have their sexual hormones trigger them by just showing her bare legs.
As a big brother, he knows what to do.
He jumps towards his sister trying to shield her from the hormonal gaze of the hormonal boys. "Don't worry sister! I'll shield you from–" Tenya didn't get the chance after a getting Karate chop by Rachel.
"You know, I can handle myself, I don't need a knight in shining armor to protect me." Rachel said, receiving a tick mark on Tenya's forehead.
"YEAH, BUT YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO HIT ME, LIKE, HELLO MEGAN!" I said. angrily at my sister. As I rub the spot where she hit me.
Denki's pov.
A strong cough took the attention of the students, they recall the reason why they were out there in the first place, is because they have a class with All Might. As everyone stood up quietly as they listen to the instructions of All Might. "Alright, we can begin the class. Today we are having Two-versus-Two battle training."
He continues. "This is the scenario goes. For this training exercise, the two teams of two would battle each other."
Is All Might for real?
A two-versus-two team battle, that's like a straight summary for a video game, like Tekken Tag 2 or Skull Girls.
So I would end up being teamed up with someone, I wonder who could it be? Among all my friends so far, Rachel and our friendship together were quite cool beans for each other. I think Rachel and I would be a great team for the exercises.
Though if I end up teaming up with someone else within the friend group, it would be a great chance to get to know one another more. Yesterday, at Pizza Buddy it was quite fun but were nowhere near the level of BFFs yet.
If I end up teaming up with Izuku, I want to talk more about how to improve my quirk, like the support item that he mentioned. Also, it's a good opportunity to be bros with the guy, who knows we might end up talking about girls… or boys if he too is bisexual like me.
Tenya is quite cool, well outside the whole, 'I'm strict, but I follow the rules,' personality trait of his. I guess that leaves with Ochaco. I have to admit, she is a pretty cute girl. I would ask her out, but after yesterday I see her more as a friend now.
I guess whoever could my partner be, I guess I would be, A-O-K–
"Now, Kaminari, please pick a ball from the lottery box."
I blinked to realize I spaced out and didn't listen to a word that All Might said.
'Shit, I'm screwed!' He panicked.
"S-Sure, A-A-All Might!" I panicked and grab a random ball from the lottery box, I read what the ball said.
'G… G! What the fuck does G stand for! G for Grocery, G for Gucci, or is G stands for a grade?' I panicked, and sweat more and I notice my skin is pale as a ghost. 'Wait, is G even a grade, wait a second. A, B, C, D, E, F… G! G! COMES AFTER F! DOES THAT MEAN I'M EXPELLED? THIS IS SO UNFAIR!
"Denki."
I LOST ALL MY CHANCES IN BECOMING A HERO! JUST LIKE, MOM AND DAD! I WOULD NEVER HAVE A GIRLFRIEND OR BOYFRIEND.
"Denki."
MY LIFE IS OVER, MY LIFE IS TRASH, MY LIFE IS TRASH, MY LIFE IS TRAS–
"Denki!"
I stopped panicking to see it was Rachel who was calling my name. "Good, you looked pale as a ghost, for some reason. However, I have good news.
I blinked in confusion. "What do you mean?" I asked her.
Then she showed me an orange ball with a written letter in black that said. "G. What does that mean?"
"Geez, I guess you weren't listening to All Might, but G means that we're teammates for the Two-Versus Two battle training." She said.
"Wait really?" Rachel just nodded to my question as she pointed at the hologram screen next to All Might that shows all the teams. I saw that Rachel and I were in fact Team G, while Izuku and Ochaco are teamed up, as Team A, and sadly Tenya was teamed up with Bakugo as they are Team D. Checking out the rest I saw that Kirishima and Sero are teammates, while Jiro is a team with… I think his name is Sato, or Dato something? "Oh you're not kidding, we are on the Same team," I said in relief. "Though who are we fighting against?"
Rachel just shrugs. " I don't know, I think All Might is going to announce it next." as they pay attention to All Might.
"Alright boys and girls, these who your fighting with." As a new hologram showed a new list.
First Battle, Hero Team Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka. Versus. Villain TeamKatsuki Bakugo and Tenya Ida
Second Battle, Hero Team Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji. Versus. Villain Team Mashiro Ojiro and Toru Hakegure.
Third Battle, Hero Team, Eijiro Kirishima, and Hanta Sero. Versus. Villain Team, Minoru Mineta and Momo Yaoyarozu.
Forth Battle, Hero Team Rikido Sato, and Kyoka Jiro. Versus. Villain Team Yuga Aoyama and Mina Ashido.
Last Battle. Hero Team Denki Kaminari and Rachel Iida. Versus. Villain Team Tsuyu Asui and Fumikage Tokoyami.
"Oh Woah, cool we're going last." I smiled in relief that Rachel and I are going last, and we are going to faceAsui and Tokoyami. I feel bad for Ochaco, Izuku and Tenya. I hope they can handle all that attention.
For now, Rachel and I can create a plan for victory.
Rachel has to make the plan, Lord no, not me.
I decided to split the chapter into 2, next chapter is where the action is.
I hope you guys are excited to read Raven and Chargebolt in action, against Fumikage and Tsuyu.
