Chapter 30

Several hours have gone by with Naxena lost in her work. Her shadow clones had returned from their shopping trip and had gotten to work themselves.

Ares had come in several times with his mother. Bring the kids snacks and lunch as they know once Naxena begins doing her research she will not be eating or sleeping until she is snapped out of her work. The shadow clones made her research go by a hell of a lot quicker.

"Naxena." Calls Hera as she holds a plate with sandwiches with chips.

Naxena grunts as she blinks her eyes. Being snapped out of the trance she had placed herself in. She slowly looks up to her grandmother with a confused expression on her face as it dawns on her as who is standing before her. "Huh?" She gives her grandmother a clueless answer.

Hera raises her hand up to her mouth to hide her giggle from her granddaughter. "Oh my Naxena. You need to take breaks from time to time. For you have been working for almost 6 hours straight." She tells the girl as said girl frowns looking at the eight notebooks and slowly looks down at the notebook she had been writing in. It was already on its final page and that final page mostly had a drawing for a seal that hadn't been seen for almost a 100 years.

"I guess so." Said Naxena as she closes the notebook and pinches the bridge of her nose as now she feels hunger over take her body and exhaustion baring deep into her bones. She lets out a long yawn as she takes the plate of food from her grandmother. "Thank you." She told her.

"Sweetie. You need to rest. You have been working since you left for your mission and side mission. I think you need to take a couple of days to rest and recuperate for everything." Said Hera as she places her hand on the girl's head.

"I…I think you're right." Said Naxena as she takes another bite of her sandwich.

Hera smiles as she turns and leaves everyone to their meal and to figure out what their next step will be.

"Naxena." Calls Ino as she is standing up and stretching her body as she had grown stiff from just sitting still for several hours.

"Huh?" Questions Naxena as her mind is going through all the notes she had taken in her mind and was giving Karama a headache.

Ino smirks at the spaced out blonde sitting right next to her. "Naxena. Why don't we go out back and get some air. Maybe do some cloud watching. For I need a break from looking over the scrolls Shika had given me." She suggested the blonde/raven/crimson hair girl with a soft smile on her face.

Looking around the table is now able to see how exhausted everyone is at the very moment. "Yeah I think that would be a good idea. I need to just clear my mind before Kurama goes on strike and tries to escape my body again." She tells Ino with a embraced giggle.

Ino rolls her eyes at the girl's antics. "Well just let him know that he shouldn't do that. We don't need him running around and giving those bastards heart attacks." She tells her before she freezes. Blinking several times. "You know what…That might be a good idea and let him run around scaring the living shit out of them." She said with a sadistic grin on her face with the thoughts of how many bundles of flowers her family would be selling for all the funerals.

"I like her. Could we do that?" Wonders Kurama with his own sadistic grin on his own muzzle.

"Oh Gods and Goddesses. Ino you just opened a huge kyubi size can of worms." Naxena groans at the idea of him raging havoc in the village.

This is what Ares walks in on. "What's going on here?" He questions with a raised eyebrow.

Ino giggles and answers for the other girl. "I and Kurama are trying to talk Naxena into allowing him out for a while to give all those bastards in the village massive heart attacks." She answers him and her giggles turn into something more crazed sounding.

Ares shakes his head at the two antics. "Really now? Do you want to give Naxena more pain?" He questions the blonde and the fox at once.

Kurama freezes at hearing the old God's words. He allows his head to fall. As it wasn't like the times of old where he could do as he wishes. Now he has to think about his kit. For if something goes wrong. She could be killed or lose her chance at becoming a Goddess at his own actions.

"I am sorry kit. Just forget about what I had requested of you." Said Kurama as he just closes his eyes and falls asleep.

"I am sorry Naxena." She tells her friend as she looks away from her best friend feeling like shit.

Naxena moves her right hand behind her head, rubbing the back of her neck. She smiles brightly at Ino. "Please don't worry about it. I know you are just looking out for me and wanting me to just fight back at all the injustice I have to face daily." She tells her friend still smiling at her to make sure that Ino doesn't feel like shit.

"Why don't you all go outside and take a break. I have already heard from my mother that each of you have been working hard. Expachily you Nax. You need to rest. I have also found out your team and yourself are going to have about 2 weeks off. For you are overworked." Ares tells them as his eyes never leave his granddaughter's own eyes.

With Xena

Xena makes her way to the Nara Clan's gates to speak with Shikaku as well as Choza about some ideas for the kids and others.

Just returning home she spots Xena coming her way. "Hello Xena-chan." Said Yoshio with a large smile on her face.

Xena smiles at the woman before her. "Hello Yoshio-chan." She returns the greeting.

"So what brings you to my neck of the woods?" Questions Yoshio with a giggle at her own little joke.

Xena softly laughs. "Oh I was hoping to speak to your husband and Choza about some ideas I have." She tells the woman before her.

"Oh they are in the lab not too far away from the main house." Said Yoshio with a sad smile.

"I also want to hear about the idea's you have for the kids' wedding. For Hera had told me she has heard from your husband about your planning and she will be here soon to also join in on the talks. We are making sure Ares will not be joining us." She tells her.

Yoshio smiles largely. "Oh I am glad to hear that." She said clasping her hand in front of her.

Before anyone could blink a sliver light appears before them and stepping out of that light is one Goddess that wants to have her hands in all love and anything that to deal with her own niece.

"Ah.. Hello Aphrodite." Said Xena with a soft smile on her face. "It appears you want to join in on the wedding planning?" She questions the blonde.

"Oh Xena. You know I wanted to be part of everything that I am able to do for my adorable little niece." Said Aphrodite with a large grin on her face.

Yoshio looks at the half dressed woman with shock and surprise on her face. "Who are you?" She questions not sure if she wanted to know. As she looks over the woman's outfit with bikini top and bottoms with fabric going down to her ankles with what looks likes silver cuffs around them with also fabric coming down from her shoulders with silver olive leaves clasped on the fabric and silver coffs on her wrist holding the fabric in place with jewelry draped around her body and her long blonde hair pulled into a ponytail.

"I am Aphrodite. The Goddess of sexual love, love, and beauty." introduced Aphrodite with a softer smile on her face now.

Yoshio's eyes widen with surprise at hearing she is meeting another Goddess. This Goddess power has to do with love, sex, and beauty. Making her wonder if she had given Naxena a blessing of beauty and love for all around her. "It…it's a pleasure to meet you, Aphrodite-sama." She tells the Goddess before her.

Aphrodite giggles. "Please Yoshio-chan. Please call me Aphrodite-chan. As I am more relaxed and laid back than my other family members." She tells her still giggling.

Xena just laughs at her sister-in-law's antics. "She is telling you the truth. She is the friendliest of all my sister-in-laws." She tells Yoshio who is shocked to hear that about Xena's family.

"Alright Aphrodite-chan." Said Yoshio with a smile on her face. "Please join me at my house while Xena handles some business with my husband and his friend." She tells the blonde.

"Sure." Answers Aphrodite with a smile. The two women vanish into the clan head's house chatting about something while Xena walks down the path to Shizuka's personal lab.

I am leaving. Next time we will see what the Goddesses and Yoshio come up with for the two kids.
