Rider Time Zi-O: Roze from Remnant
Chapter 39 – The Futurering Shinobi 2022
The black void was once more present but with footsteps being heard as Woz quickly hurried into view, a more frantic expression on his face.
"An unusual person from the apparent future has appeared…" He trailed more than narrated, "Woz, an alternate version of myself, claiming to come from a timeline without Oma Zi-O."
Suddenly behind him green lights lit up to reveal the Kamen Rider Woz suit before purple lights lit up nearby to unveil Kamen Rider Shinobi's suit.
"Transforming into Kamen Rider Woz he halts Another Shinobi's destructive rampage for a moment. An Another Rider that should not exist due to Shinobi's birth on Remnant. Yet due to the fickle nature of time, Shinobi now exists as a possible timeline, thus allowing the Another Rider's birth."
An orange spotlight shined down to reveal Kamen Rider Hattari in front of Woz who frowned.
"And now the appearance of Kamen Rider Hattari has shaken things up further…" Woz rapidly flipped through the pages of his book before closing and holding it close. "It appears as though traveling to Remnant has caused bigger divergences than I once thought…"
Earth – Mid January 2019
Team RWBY alongside Team Zi-O, Woz, and Isamichi were all at Team RWBY's apartment, all of them getting caught up to date on what was going on both ends. Mostly everyone was currently sitting at the dining room table, with Tsukuyomi was standing and Isamichi was currently lounging on the couch near the television.
"Okay so to sum it up, that other Woz is from a different 2068 than ours," Tsukuyomi was using her tablets projection function and mapped out a new timeline. It having the usual 2068 with Oma Zi-O but now having a branching path from Oma's Day towards another 2068. "One where Oma Zi-O never happened…"
"A timeline born from Geiz defeating my over-um-er…" Woz caught himself again but was unsure of how to proceed.
"Woz, if you want to call me 'my overlord' I won't mind," Sougo spoke up.
"Wait, what?" Geiz asked.
Sougo held up his hands, "I don't plan on being one since I still want to be a Kamen Rider. I just want to make Woz more comfortable when he's around us."
"Thank you," Woz gave a smile and bowed.
"If you say so," Yang remarked.
Ruby glanced at the short looks her sister and Blake had given Sougo when he had spoken up but decided to say nothing at the moment.
"Yes well, a timeline born from Geiz defeating my overlord on the Day of Oma," Woz explained. "At least that's how it appears. He referred to Geiz as a savior, after all."
"He shows up to support Geiz in the mission of defeating Sougo," Tsukuyomi added. "He's basically the opposite of our Woz."
"As a reminder that mission only happens if Zi-O ends up on the path of becoming Oma Zi-O," Geiz added as he looked around. "And I've decided he hasn't yet."
"I've been thinking…" Sougo trailed. "Saying "that Woz" and "this Woz" is confusing, can we come up with a name?"
Woz could only stare in disbelief, "A name…?"
Sougo stood up and put a hand on Woz, "This Woz can be… Kuro-Woz," He then crossed his arms and thought a bit, "And the other one will be… Shiro-Woz! Well?"
Woz continued to stare in disbelief, "We are not goats…"
"Hey, Kuro-Woz," Geiz immediately spoke up, everyone staring at Geiz in surprise.
"That was quick!" Tsukuyomi admitted.
"I mean… it works doesn't it?" Yang shrugged.
"What was that weird book he has?" Geiz asked.
"I can't say…" Woz admitted as he tapped his own book, "It seems to be completely different in nature than my own. Whatever he writes in it becomes reality… That seems to be its power."
Ruby gave a nod, putting a hand to her chin, "And we've likely been affected by it prior if our experiences in Remnant are anything to go by…"
"Anyway, regardless of all this whole alternate timeline stuff," Sougo started. "I think our priority is making sure that we stop the Another Rider."
"And we also have our Kamen Rider Hattari friend over there," Yang pointed out, "Who apparently needs Shinobi's powers to help his friend out."
"Yes, I'm glad you all remember me!" Isamichi called sarcastically and held his arm up to wave.
"Who's this friend you need to save anyway?" Weiss asked.
"His name is Rentaro Kagura," Isamichi answered.
"Wait… seriously?" Sougo asked.
"Yeah, I'm being pretty serious," Isamichi replied as he stood up. "Is there an issue?"
"No it's just… I remember having a dream and seeing him as Shinobi," Sougo explained. "And then I recognized Another Shinobi when he was knocked out of his transformation, he looked just like Rentaro."
"That's why I want to save him," Isamichi spoke up as he walked over, "I was told by that Woz guy-"
"Shiro-Woz," Weiss corrected.
Isamichi's eyes twitched a bit before he took a deep breath, "Yes… it all started back in early January, we were out one night hanging out when this weird purple glowing thing entered him and then he didn't start feeling well."
Ruby and Sougo looked at each other, the two confused since that didn't sound like a normal Anotherwatch implanting.
"It was really weird at first because he passed out," Isamichi explained. "But then after a day he seemed totally fine."
"That's weird," Tsukuyomi noted. "Did he showcase any odd abilities?"
"No, none at all," Isamichi shook his head. "I'm sure he would have totally tried to show off if he had superpowers. Dude's pretty eccentric, but well… that all changed last night."
The Previous Evening…
Isamachi was running through the night streets trying to find his friend who had run off when he heard screams and yells. He could catch purple flames escaping the alleyway and saw a man peaking in. He managed to rush through the crowd and made it to the scene of the attack.
"Rentaro…" He trailed as he quickly ran into the alleyway to look for any kind of clue, going deeper and deeper he looked around, "Rentaro!"
"You will not find your friend."
"What do you mean?" Isamichi quickly turned and saw Shiro-Woz standing in front of him, "What did you do to him?"
"Whoa now," Shiro-Woz remarked as he held his hands up. "I mean no harm… but I do know what happened to your friend."
"What happened?" Isamichi asked as he stepped forward, "What's wrong with my friend?"
"He has been turned into a monster known as an Another Rider," Shiro-Woz explained, "This one specifically being Another Shinobi."
"Another Shinobi…?" Isamichi repeated before it clicked for him, "You mean he became some weird ninja?"
"Yes," Shiro-Woz smiled before it faded into a frown, "Unfortunately trying to rescue your friend will be an issue. As it stands, Kamen Rider Shinobi does not exist… yet."
Isamichi looked down before realizing what the time traveler ended on, "Yet?"
"In a potential future, should a certain act get passed, then ninja's will reign supreme as the tool used to help better the world," Shiro-Woz explained as he paced around, slightly grinning when he saw Isamichi's expression grow brighter. He coughed and continued, "Rentaro himself would become quite the capable ninja as well, for he is the one to become Kamen Rider Shinobi."
Isamichi was surprised by this and thought a bit, "Well… he does enjoy helping people a lot, him being a Kamen Rider in the future sounds like a good fit."
"The issue however is that Another Shinobi's existence now prevents this," Shiro-Woz continued. "Not to mention the effects of an Another Rider based on a Rider that has yet to properly exist… could be very strenuous to his body."
"How do I help him?" Isamichi asked.
"We need Shinobi's power to create a Ridewatch, a device that will allow us to purge the Another Rider completely," Shiro-Woz explained. "Luckily there was a second Shinobi who was born, one not from this world."
"So a false Shinobi then," Isamichi immediately spoke up.
"Oh she is anything but fake," Shiro-Woz answered, "However despite her power she isn't technically supposed to be Shinobi, she simply received the blessing to gain those powers."
"So basically I just take her powers and then give them to you right?" Isamichi guessed before realizing something. "Wait, how am I supposed to handle a Kamen Rider?!"
Shiro-Woz gave a smile and drew out a golden gourd, "While the future is only a possibility and fleeting, I am able to grab objects from it due to my special nature. This will allow you to become a Kamen Rider. Defeat Kamen Rider Shinobi and take her gear, then deliver it to me." He then turned slightly, "Of course this will be dangerous…"
Isamichi rushed over and grabbed the gold gourd out of Shiro-Woz's grip, "I'll do it… I want to help him, and I want to make that future you talked about a reality."
"It is as I figured… Swartz' words were enough for me to be wary of this situation," Woz sighed. "This is a plot by my other self to strip Blake of her Shinobi Powers. And given my other self called the other two the Riders of hope… I can only imagine that this is the plot of Shiro-Woz, to take their powers and gain their Ridewatches."
"Is that why we got our powers on Remnant?" Blake asked, a bit offended by the idea, "Just to have them taken after a while?"
"That would explain the suspicious way we were acting that night in Argus, and why we got them so close to each other," Weiss pointed out.
"That… would really explain something," Yang admitted as she glanced at Blake. "We didn't bring it up since well we weren't really sure ourselves at the time…"
"What happened?" Ruby asked.
"Adam was the reason that I wasn't able to commit to the plan on Argus," Blake explained. "He had caught me off guard, especially because he became Another Ryuki. So it was a tough fight and despite beating him when he was Another Ryuki he still got the upper hand. Yang of course was there and that's when she got Kikai."
"When I went Kikai to fight Adam, he had managed to somehow retransform into Another Ryuki after a while," Yang explained. "And he was way tougher than before."
"We thought we were goners but then Shiro-Woz showed up," Blake replied. "We weren't sure if it was Kuro-Woz changing things up or what, but he protected us by… killing Adam…"
Yang quickly put a hand on her friends shoulder to calm her down, "Yeah… we really didn't like his messed up excuses he was trying to make. But he said he needed both of us alive, how we'd be hope."
"There's that word again," Weiss sighed.
"So he was active and plotting that far back…" Woz trailed. "Disgusting…"
"But for what purpose?" Geiz asked.
"Well he did mention that Geiz Revive, maybe that's connected?" Yang guessed.
"Whatever it is it won't happen," Ruby called out. "Blake's not losing her powers because we'll find a way to beat Another Shinobi without resorting to that."
"But it's the only way isn't it?" Isamichi asked.
"The Rider Powers that my team has are able to destroy Another Riders completely without needing a Ridewatch," Ruby replied. "If it worked for Heisei Riders then it will work for these Future Riders."
"Are we sure?" Blake asked.
"There was a reason he had Isamichi draw you out specifically," Ruby pointed out. "It's because Shinobi can beat Another Shinobi, he didn't want you to fight him so he could get a Ridewatch out of it."
"That is true," Sougo gave a nod. "But we should also have a backup."
"If 2022 is a solid enough point in time then we should try heading there to see if we can find any way to make a Ridewatch," Geiz suggested. "Not to mention the upgrades done to the Time Mazine thanks to Sento might be able to help us with a smoother trip."
"I'll go with you then," Ruby immediately volunteered, "I won't let Blake lose her powers, because we really don't know what Shiro-Woz is planning with those Ridewatches and I don't want to find out. Not to mention we'll be down a Rider too."
"Fine then," Geiz gave a nod. "The rest of you should patrol and figure out where Rentaro's going to strike next."
"No!" Isamichi called out before glaring at Blake and holding out his hand, "Give me the Shinobi Powers so that I can save Rentaro. I don't want to take a chance on this!"
Blake gave a light glare, "I'm not going to follow your commands just because you say so. We can work together to help him."
Isamichi continued to glare before turning and heading for the door. "There's no way we're working together!"
Blake gave a sigh, "Just call me if something comes up, I'll see if I can talk him into helping."
"The rest of us will be on high alert then," Sougo gave a nod.
"Before we do split up though I do want to know one thing," Weiss admitted before looking at Sougo, "Sougo do you remember your dream enough to go into more details?"
Sougo thought about it a bit, "Hmm, yeah I think I can yeah."
Rentaro had finally regained enough awareness that he was able to revert back to his human form. He was currently on a building overlooking the city as he tried to come to terms with what was going on.
"You've been doing a good job."
Rentaro jumped a bit and turned in a panic, though his panic didn't fade as he saw Swartz. He remained on edge, "What… what did you do to me?"
"I only reactivated the power that you deserve," Swartz answered.
"The power… I deserve?" Rentaro asked.
"You see, I let out three gifts early into the year," Swartz explained. "One of them chose you and granted you the incredible power inside you."
"Incredible power…" Rentaro trailed before remembering what had activated it. "That's right… that punk…"
"You want to use your powers to protect the weak, and who preys on the weak but thugs who think they own the city," Swartz interrupted as he waltzed around. "Do not worry though, even if you're defeated, as long as that watch is intact, you won't lose these powers."
Rentaro held his chest and looked down, "What even is this?"
"Think of it as a gift from the future," Swartz lied as he put his hands in his pockets. Even he wasn't certain how his little tantrum turned gambit had managed to pan out. "There are many possible branches of history where Kamen Riders may or not exist, and you are one of them. The power I sent out was to ensure that Zi-O and the others don't take that future away from you."
Swartz' lies had managed to affect Rentaro however and he shook his head, "I don't want to lose my future."
"And you won't," Swartz reassured with a sly smile, "They need the same power from Kamen Rider Shinobi to do so. And while a Shinobi exists in the present, her power alone is unable to break the Ridewatch. They'll need to create a Ridewatch for that and there's no way they can this time."
"Backtracking to what you said before," Rentaro was getting confused now and wanted to get back on track, "If I use this power, will I really be able to defend the weak…?"
"No one will be able to defeat you," Swartz answered. "You have essentially become invincible."
Rentaro couldn't help but smile a bit at the idea of being a powerful ninja to help defend the weak by stopping those who preyed on the weak. The next set of words from Swartz however was odd for him.
"And I want you to be king. Sound good?" Swartz asked before walking off and disappearing.
"King…?" He asked.
From another lower building was Uhr who was listening to the conversation since he wanted some idea of what Swartz' new plan was.
The Geiz Unit Time Mazine flew through the time stream they'd usually go through, Ruby standing by Geiz as they had locked in the year 2022 in order to try and find some clues. The Geiz Unit was ready to approach the year before it suddenly hit an invisible force.
What they weren't expecting was a sudden rocking as various warnings popped up on the monitors in front of them.
DANGER
CAN NOT GET DOWN
"What's going on?" Ruby asked. "Why can't we get down in 2022?"
Time and space began warping around the Time Mazine as various electrical sparks shot out due to the unstable nature of the specific timeframe they were trying to enter.
"Damn it I was worried about this," Geiz hissed out. "The timelines are too divergent, we can't cross over!"
"So what, we can't even get to a 2022 in general?" Ruby asked.
"I'm afraid so," Geiz said as he pulled up various screens. "Help me out with trying to adjust some settings, I'm going to try and use what we got from Sento to bust through."
"On it," Ruby gave a nod as she began bringing up various holographic panels to try and work with. "If we can't get to 2022 then we can't meet or find out about that Kamen Rider Shinobi."
"And if we don't get a Ridewatch from this timeframe in particular…" Geiz gritted his teeth as he tried to adjust smaller settings to try and get the Time Mazine through. "Then Blake…"
"I won't let Blake lose her powers," Ruby called out as she gave a determined stare. "We need to try the hardest we can."
Uhr had gone to another rooftop to think on the situation especially since Swartz was trying to be clever by using new tactics. It was clear that making Another Rider's based on the past Heisei Riders wasn't an option at the moment. Especially since it seemed like Swartz had two more schemes in mind in the event that Another Shinobi would fail.
'It might not work out, so don't bank everything on it.'
Tsukasa Kadoya's words rang through his mind as he thought of a potential way to create a powerful Another Rider like Swartz was trying to do.
Woz had come to investigate on his own, seeing Uhr he decided to speak up, "Alone, are you?"
Uhr however jumped slightly and backed away, "Woz!" He called out, though once noticing that the one in front of him wasn't Shiro-Woz he relaxed slightly, "Which one are you?"
"The black one," Woz replied he glanced to the side, "I suppose that means nothing to you…"
Uhr breathed a sigh of relief however, "The usual one, then… What do you want, anyway? I don't know anything about that alternate version of you."
"Don't be mistaken," Woz scoffed. "I'm here about Another Shinobi…"
"I don't know the specifics, but apparently he can't be beaten," Uhr answered as he tried to interpret what Swartz had said earlier. "Turns out the power picked him because he'd become Shinobi in 2022 or something like that."
"So it wasn't a normal Another Rider contract then," Woz concluded, the idea of the power picking Rentaro was unheard of. So that only led to one possibility, especially if Swartz was involved.
"Trust me, I'm about as in the dark as you are when it comes to this," Uhr admitted before giving a devilish smile. "But hey, if it hits you guys where it hurts then I don't mind in the slightest."
Woz simply turned with a displeased look, "Of course you wouldn't."
Isamichi gave a light scowl as he sat on a park bench, currently mulling over the current events. His eyes widened when he saw a chilled coffee drink put in front of him. He looked up to see Blake before giving groan and looking off to the side.
"What do you want?" he asked.
"To talk," Blake replied before sitting down next to him and setting the chilled coffee down between them. "I get it."
"You really don't," Isamichi sighed.
"You want to prove yourself as a Kamen Rider because you just became one," Blake guessed. "Especially given our well…"
"Please don't bring it up," Isamichi hung his head.
"Hey I mean you did pretty well for someone who seems to have no actual combat experience," Blake encouraged, "Especially against Ruby and I."
"Thanks… I guess," Isamichi said, glancing at the coffee, taking and shaking it. He then popped it open and chugged a quarter of it. "Listen…"
"You want to help your friend," Blake replied. "I understand, and honestly if it came to no other way I would consider giving you my gear."
Isamichi blinked at that and turned towards Blake, "Seriously?"
"Being a Rider is important to me," Blake admitted, "But I know that despite losing my powers I can still help out when needed."
"Then why not give it to me now?" Isamichi asked.
"Because it will be better for us to fight together," Blake suggested before holding out her hand. "Let's try and save your friend together, and if it doesn't work out then let's see how Ruby's fairing. If all else fails we'll go for your plan. I promise."
"I suppose… I could use some help," Isamichi trailed a bit as he looked to the side. If Ruby and Blake had managed to best him he could only imagine how fighting Another Shinobi was like. He then looked over at Blake and shook her hand, "Fine… but if nothing we or your friends try works then you're giving me your gear."
"Deal," Blake smiled.
A few thugs were currently having the time of their lives in an empty lot near some warehouses. The group had gotten a motorcycle to take turns riding and one of them was currently going around in circles trying to do cool tricks.
"Let me get on next!" One called out as he chased after the rider. "Come on, it's my turn!"
The man riding it continued to yell and holler, not noticing that the bike itself was starting to spark. He then gave a yelp as the motorcycle suddenly exploded into smoke and vanished. He grunted as he slammed into the ground. "Where'd the bike go?"
Everyone soon turned their attention to a purple blob in the corner of their eyes, soon seeing Rentaro standing off to the side, already transformed as Another Shinobi.
"M-Monster…!" The bike riding member called out.
"The only monsters…" Rentaro hissed out, "Are you punks!"
The gang members all yelled out as they tried to get away but Rentaro was too fast for them, grabbing and tossing them around.
Swartz was nearby watching the fruits of his labors, glancing when he noticed Shiro-Woz approaching.
"You've certainly created a troublesome Another Rider," Shiro-Woz commented as he viewed the situation.
"To defeat him you'll need a Shinobi Watch from this era," Swartz mentioned. "And given how different these Another Riders and the Riders they're based on are… it will still end in me winning."
"It's cute that you believe I'm concerned with numbers," Shiro-Woz chuckled. "What matters is I obtain the Shinobi Watch."
"You really think they'll care for you if you do that?" Swartz asked.
"You underestimate the fear that can generate from the looming presence of Oma Zi-O," Shiro-Woz answered with a smile.
Swartz couldn't help but be amused by this, "Very well then, let's see how this turns out. I'm curious to see if you really think you can come out on top of this game."
"Oh I am very much intent on winning this game we like to call the Future," Shiro-Woz gave a more serious expression before opening his Future Note. "It's time for the players to take their places on the stage."
"And who do you believe can actually give you your desire result?" Swartz asked.
"Two ninja's, and an overlord to help flare up the drama to make things even more beautiful," Shiro-Woz answered as he wrote in his Future Note several times. While he knew that Geiz and Ruby were fruitlessly trying to get to 2022, he needed to distract those unneeded.
Sougo and Woz were currently relaxing at the front store end of 9-5-DO, Sougo having decided to search nearby his home before Woz had come to inform him of current events and his theories.
Sougo could only nod, "So you're saying it's like… Swartz sent out this burst of power and it just chose him. And it's all because he has the potential to become Shinobi in 2022."
"Yes," Woz gave a nod. "More than likely Swartz is trying to make powerful Another Riders to try and stop us. He must also be somehow aware that our auxiliary Riders will have to lose their powers to create Ridewatches. So even if Shiro-Woz progresses his plans, Swartz wouldn't care so long as it weakens us."
"We'll just have to hope Geiz and Ruby can pull through," Sougo replied. "I'd hate for Blake to lose out on her powers."
"Indeed," Woz gave a nod, while he didn't like the fact that the remainder of Team RWBY also had Rider Powers, it had worked more to their advantage than their disadvantage. So keeping them as Riders was going to have to be top priority.
Sougo though while thinking on the current events suddenly felt an invisible force beckoning him, "Woz, I have to go…"
"I advise against this," Woz called out, already knowing something was wrong. "My alternate self is likely there."
"Probably, but I'm still going," Sougo replied.
"I know that you don't care about being an Overlord anymore but that does not mean the same for me," Woz called out in a more angered expression. "I simply adhered to your choice because the history that holds Oma Zi-O is still around, and I had hoped that you would come around inevitably. Further interaction with Another Shinobi could alter things greatly. Your chances to become an Overlord once more could be cut short."
"I see…" Sougo's expression softened a bit as he gave an understanding nod, "I figured you'd still hold feelings for that, and honestly I don't blame you. But right now… what else do you want me to do?"
"You simply need to stay away from him," Woz answered. "If you are being drawn towards the fight then that means my other self has a plan for you. Which means you could be causing more harm than good, especially if it's a trap."
"But if he's there then I have to go," Sougo gave a more determined stare. "If I can hold him off for long enough then I can give Blake the time she needs since I'm sure she's being drawn there too. If not then Shiro-Woz could swoop in and take her Rider powers."
"My Overlord…" Woz trailed.
"Not to mention… I can't just leave Rentaro suffering like that," Sougo admitted. "As a Kamen Rider I have to help whoever I can, I can't just ignore them when it could be convenient for me. Especially when it comes to a kind hearted guy like him being twisted around by the Time Jackers. There's a reason he has the potential to become Shinobi, and what he's doing isn't it."
Woz could only stare as he watched Sougo leave, leaning against one of the glass watch cases. "I am afraid I have a bad feeling about this, my Overlord…"
Blake and Isamichi were throwing away their chilled coffee when they felt a sudden feeling pass over them. The two looked at each other and nodded, immediately taking off as they began to run towards where Rentaro would be.
"That's so weird, how'd we get the same feeling?" Isamichi questioned.
"It has to be that stupid notebook," Blake hissed out, already knowing where to go despite not knowing for certain that their Another Rider would be there. It had to be a trap, but any attempt to try and break out of the suggestion was hard. "Either way we can't let Rentaro keep rampaging like this."
"You're right," Isamichi nodded. "We'll try it your way but if it doesn't work…"
"Yeah we'll go for your plan," Blake agreed.
The two gave a nod as they continued to run through the streets in order to get to the location in time.
Tsukuyomi, Weiss and Yang were currently searching all over town for any sign of Rentaro. They were hoping to run into him first so they could call Blake over. To their surprise they did seem to find trouble as a crowd began to run towards them. The three braced as the crowd scattered and ran in any direction they could.
"What's going on?" Yang asked.
"It has to be Another Shinobi," Weiss replied.
"Let's get going," Tsukuyomi suggested as she lead the way.
The three eventually stopped at a park that was the current target for the attack. To their surprise they had simply found the ninja-like enemies in Sougo's dream, though there were only two. Each one held a large kabuki wig on its head, one red and one white, both being reminiscent of lion's manes. The two had colored markings that matched their wig. The one in red held a staff with a golden single pointed spear, the one in white held a staff with a golden two pronged spear.
"This isn't Another Shinobi," Weiss sighed.
"We can't just leave them here," Yang reminded as she readied her Driver. "We'll just have to clean house."
Tsukuyomi though narrowed her eyes, having worked on doing a search of the various grunts that had popped up during the Heisei Riders tenure. Thankfully she managed to find a hit after remembering that Sougo's description of the ninja-like enemies and these looked similar.
"Okay," Tsukuyomi started. "They're advanced versions of a group known as the Stardust Ninja Dustards, Leo Dustards. It seems like whatever possibly happens in 2022 involves them or a variant of them to some degree."
"Oddly fitting for being obstacles," Weiss admitted as she readied her Driver.
"You think someone planted them here?" Tsukuyomi asked.
"It's looking more likely," Yang admitted. "So let's finish this quickly…"
"Henshin!"
[DEKAI! HAKAI! GOKAI! KAMEN RIDER KIKAI!]
[FASHION! PASSION! QUESTION! QUIZ!]
Yang and Weiss took their transformations of Kamen Rider Kikai and Shinobi, the two summoning Ember Celica and Myrtenaster respectively before readying themselves.
The Red and White Leo Dustards pointed their weapons forward before leaping towards the two. Two glyphs blocked their spears before forcing them back. The two quickly spun their weapons, blocking shots from Yang who had tried to hit them after their failed attack.
Rentaro was currently dealing with the set of gang members he had confronted. Despite their punches and kicks, his form was too strong to be affected by anything mundane like that.
"Stay back! Get away!" A thug called out as he tried to scoot backwards while on the ground.
Rentaro growled out, grabbing the thug and lifting him up before smacking him away. It wasn't long before the thugs all began to yell before running away.
"So what was this about two Ninja's and an Overlord?" Swartz asked confidently before he narrowed his eyes at something in the distance, soon glaring.
Shiro-Woz could only smile as he saw Sougo come into view, "Here is the first piece."
Rentaro had dismissed his transformation, panting slightly.
Sougo quickly ran up, "I knew you'd be here."
Rentaro turned and gave a glare, "What do you want?!"
"I came to stop you," Sougo answered.
"Stop me…?" Rentaro asked.
"You just want to protect people, right?" Sougo wanted to get the motivations right. "That's why you have the potential to become Kamen Rider Shinobi, and why the Another Rider power latched onto you."
Rentaro clutched his chest, the usage of this new power starting to affect his judgment, "This power changed me! And with it I will be king!"
"But is that what you want?" Sougo narrowed his eyes, he knew he was on a roll when he saw Rentaro doubting himself, "If that's the future you choose for yourself, then I'll have to defeat you. But you have the potential to become a Kamen Rider, and even if you don't become Shinobi in the end… I still don't want you to lose the good heart that would have allowed you to become him."
"Shut up!" Rentaro snapped. "Stay out of my way!"
[SHINOBI!]
In a burst of purple energy Rentaro quickly reassumed his corrupted form of Another Shinobi.
Sougo readied his Ziku Driver and Zi-O Ridewatch, "Henshin!"
[RIDER TIME! KAMEN RIDER ZI-O!]
His Katakana shot out for his visor, quickly intercepting and keeping Rentaro from moving forward as his transformation completed. He quickly moved in, grabbing and punching at his opponent. It was easier said than done as Rentaro was managing to counter his grabs and punches.
The two managed to break away from each other, Rentaro quickly leapt at the Rider only for Sougo to duck underneath. The Another Rider landed on the ground and rolled, turning and opening his mouth, unleashing purple flames that forced the Rider back. He then leapt forward, bringing out his claws to try and jab forward.
Sougo however was faster, bringing out his sword and stabbing, managing to strike the Another Rider in the gut. He rushed in and slashed, forcing Rintaro to be thrown backwards as a result.
Rentaro hissed out and drew the katana on his waist, leaping forward as it shined with a purple energy.
[FINISH TIME!]
Sougo loaded in Gaim's Ridewatch before holding his sword in a reverse grip, striking a pose, "Hidden Blade!"
[GAIM GIRI GIRI SLASH!]
Sougo ducked and slashed forward, avoiding Rentaro's slash and cutting through the Another Rider with a projection of a full orange slice, "Orange Slice!"
Rentaro could only yell out as he fell and tumbled onto the ground, his body filled with energy before exploding. He winced as he lost his transformation, though the Anotherwatch was not ejected just like before. Using the form constantly had clearly worn on him though as he had some injuries carry over.
Swartz walked over, clearly not amused, "This won't get you anywhere. You'll only get yourself killed." He reached down and pulled out Shinobi's Anotherwatch, activating it again before shoving it into Rentaro.
[SHINOBI!]
Rentaro yelled out as he transformed into Another Shinobi, this time the transformation taking away some of his awareness as he charged forward despite his shock. He quickly spun around, unleashing a purple tinted tornado that sent Sougo flying backwards.
Sougo yelled out as he was thrown and lost his sword, skidding on his back.
"Sougo, are you alright?" Blake quickly hurried over.
"U-Uh yeah," Sougo said shakily. "Have you heard from Ruby or Geiz?"
"No I haven't," Blake shook her head, "I'm going to test our theory though."
"Just be careful," Sougo groaned out.
Isamichi had arrived not long after but stopped in his tracks when he saw the monstrous rider, "R-Rentaro?"
Rentaro paused as he saw his friend, "Isamichi? What are you doing here?"
Swartz narrowed his eyes as he saw this interaction, "What is this?"
"A simple way to set up the stage," Shiro-Woz remarked as he kept his distance.
"Rentaro don't worry, I'm going to help you!" Isamichi called out.
"I don't need help!" Rentaro yelled out as he drew out his claws.
"Isamichi," Blake hurried over and handed him his gourd. "Let's do this."
"Right," Isamichi gave a nod.
The two ninja Riders opened their gourds and summoned the bases of their Drivers, drawing out their Shuriken Starter adapters before latching them on.
"Henshin!"
The two spun their shurikens and initiated their transformations, standing side by side as the large mechanical frog and hornet formed behind them to generate their armor.
[DARE JA? ORE JA? NINJA! SHINOBI KENZAN!]
[FUNDARI? KETTARI? HATTARI! KAMEN RIDER HATTARI!]
Rentaro hissed out when he saw Blake take the form of Shinobi, "You…"
"Let's go!" Isamichi called out as he rushed forward.
"Right," Blake gave a nod as she ran forward.
Rentaro held his arms together before spreading them out with a swing, bringing out his claws to strike at them. To his surprise both ninja Riders had leapt over him, curling up and spinning in the air. They landed behind him. He turned only to get struck in tandem by their ninjato.
Both Blake and Isamichi both swung again only to get their blades caught by the claws. Both weapons were ripped out of their hands before both were assaulted by a series of flames from the Another Rider's mouth.
Isamichi suddenly turned into a log with an orange hood while Blake had turned into a straw doll with her rider forms chest armor on it. Blake quickly kicked down against Rentaro, having reappeared in a puff of smoke above him.
Rentaro yelled out as he lunged with both of his clawed hands, managing to strike Blake again only for her armored body to fade away. He gasped as he was suddenly kicked from behind, Blake having used Shadow to get behind him while Isamichi had joined in for a double kick. Rentaro yelled as his body became a shadowy blob, sinking into the shadows and forcing both Riders to get on the defensive.
"This is too unfair!" Yang yelled out as she ducked and blocked against the Red Leo Dustard. She wrapped her arm around the spear before launching several shells against it. She had managed to land some hits but it had managed to break free from her grip, dragging its spear across her side and sending sparks flying.
The Red Leo Dustard quickly lunged in to follow up only to get shot in the face, sparks flying as it staggered back. The attack came from Tsukuyomi who then went to shoot at the White Leo Dustard attacking Weiss. It had spun its staff before jumping back to avoid the shots.
Weiss gave a wince as she held her side, the Leo Dustard's insane range with their spears were making it hard for them to get close. Not to mention hers had used its range to keep her pressured from trying anything other than defending.
The two Leo Dustards quickly vanished before appearing at both Riders sides, striking them with the spears and forcing both Riders to cry out. Weiss and Yang tumbled against each other back to back, nearly hunching over from the assault. The two Leo Dustards weren't done however, jumping high into the air before aiming their spears downwards as they fell.
"Watch out!" Tsukuyomi held her hand out, the Leo Dustards suddenly stopping mid fall and having minor glitches appear over their static filled bodies.
"Thanks for the save," Yang groaned out as she hurried away, quickly regrouping with Weiss.
The time stop against the two Leo Dustards had ended, the two slamming their spears into the ground and looking around confused.
"Weren't these just grunts in Sougo's dream?" Weiss asked. "How are they this strong?"
"I did say they were advanced versions," Tsukuyomi pointed out.
"We need to hit them hard then," Yang suggested. "I've got enough in me for a good Burn."
"Then I'll focus on my Glyphs," Weiss quickly stabbed down on the ground, bringing out a Time Dilation glyph as she powered herself up with it.
The White Leo Dustard saw this and rushed forward, jabbing as soon as it was close towards Weiss. To its surprise she had jumped up at high speed. A glyph formed near her as she used it to get some footing, launching off of it and stabbed forward, striking hard against the White Leo Dustards face. She then landed and initiated her finisher.
[FINAL QUIZ FLASH!]
X's and O's surrounded her blade as she aimed it forward, the enhanced speed of the Time Dilation still in effect as she launched forward as a red and blue blur. She closed in, stabbing Myrtenaster straight through the White Leo Dustards back and unleashed an explosive burst of electricity that tore through it before it exploded.
Weiss gave a sigh as she stepped away and entered a resting stance, letting her transformation drop.
Yang meanwhile readied herself as she charged up her finisher, letting the belt hold the charge as to not give away her tactic. The Red Leo Dustard lunged in, aiming its spear and jabbing forward to skewer Yang. The machine themed Rider simply waited for the spear to get close before shifting to her right, wincing as it scraped against her left side with sparks flying. But she ran forward, gripping the spear to hold it tight as she pulled her opponent in.
[ULTIMETAL FINISH!]
The eyes on Yang's suit shined a bright red as her right arm lit on fire, coating the electricity and ice energy forming as well. She gave a yell and punched the Red Leo Dustard in the face, the explosive burst of elemental energy releasing itself and causing the Dustard to explode.
Yang gave a grin as she dismissed her transformation, her aura flickering but just barely holding out from her using Burn in that fashion.
"That was reckless and you know it," Weiss sighed as she straightened up.
"Eh, but I see you're using Time Dilation more," Yang noted.
"Yeah," Weiss gave a nod. "I realized how helpful it could be in finishing things off quickly."
"Depending on how strong it can get it might be able to help with speed based Rider enemies," Tsukuyomi noted as she walked over.
Yang hunched over a bit, "So… what now?"
"We figure out where exactly Another Shinobi is," Weiss replied. "I'm not sure who it was but someone decided to keep us away."
"That's the only reason I can think of why this attack happened," Tsukuyomi agreed.
Blake and Isamichi winced as they were slashed at by Rentaro who was jumping between their shadows. The two quickly turned towards each other and gave a nod, jumping away and aiming their own hand signs at each other.
"Eh?" Sougo looked in surprise, "What's going on?!"
[STRONG NINPO!]
[KACHIKOCHI NINPO!]
Blake unleashed a stream of purple flames while Hattari shot out an icy blue wind, the two attacks clashing against each other and canceling each other out. The attacks however had resulted in a fog that covered the arena.
Rentaro had jumped out to strike and was caught off guard by the mist, trying to see as he ran in a direction to get out of it. Managing to get out he had soon found himself face to face with Blake and Isamichi.
[SEIBAI NINPO!]
[FANTASTIC NINPO!]
Blake had immediately shot out another stream of purple flames, catching Rentaro in it as he gasped out. The ninja Rider released the flames before spinning forward, unleashing a purple tornado that launched the Another Rider into the air.
Isamichi dropped down towards Rentaro, kicking at him only to suddenly vanish in a swarm of wasps. The Another Rider spun in mid-air only to get struck by a powered up slash by Isamichi, the slash sending him higher.
Blake soon appeared above Rentaro, giving a yell as she performed a spinning downwards kick. Energy had filled her right boot and she unleashed it in a powerful kick, sending Rentaro slamming down into a nearby warehouse.
Sougo quickly ran over to the warehouse as Blake and Isamichi warped in via puffs of smoke, the trio staring at the fallen Another Rider.
"Did it work?" Isamichi asked.
"I don't know," Blake shook her head.
Rentaro gasped as he lost his transformation, coughing out as he held his chest. He tried to get back up only to notice Swartz approaching. Swartz was ready to reach and reactivate the watch only for Rentaro to grab his wrist, "No more! My future is mine to decide!"
"What?" Swartz hissed out before his arm was thrown away. "Don't you realize you may never get your chance to become a Rider again?"
"I'm not a Rider!" Rentaro yelled out as he managed to stand and back away, "I'm a monster that's doing your damn bidding! This isn't what I wanted at all! This power may have chosen me but I want nothing to do with being a monster!"
Swartz however grabbed Rentaro by the neck, reaching in and reactivating the Shinobi Anotherwatch before shoving it back into the young man, "I won't take no for an answer."
[SHINOBI!]
Rentaro yelled out as he was forced to become Another Shinobi again. The Another Rider lashed out towards Swartz only for the Time Jacker leader to vanish from the area. He had been beaten and reactivated so many times that he was barely able to tell who was friend and who was foe. Another Shinobi quickly drew its blade before spinning and slashing, sending several energy waves out.
Blake, Isamichi and Sougo winced as they were struck by the slashes of energy, all of them being blasted back against the walls of the warehouse. Isamichi could only groan out as he slammed his head against the wall, slumping as he lost his transformation.
Sougo and Blake could only groan as sparks flew from their transformations, weakened from the attacks.
[SUGOI! JIDAI! MIRAI! KAMEN RIDER WOZ! WOZ!]
"Oh this is too perfect," Shiro-Woz grinned out as he walked forward from the entrance of the warehouse in his Rider form. "It seems as though you all got to see your potential ideas burst in flames in front of your eyes."
Blake coughed out as she saw Shiro-Woz, "You…"
"And you seem to be in the right shape too," Shiro-Woz mused before quickly using his boot and planting it on Blake's chest to fully force her onto the ground.
"Blake!" Sougo called out.
Black winced, "What are you…"
"Creating a Miridewatch," Shiro-Woz answered as he removed a Blank Miridewatch from his holster.
Blake tried to struggle only to be surprised when Shiro-Woz removed his boot, but she wasn't fast enough to prevent him from placing a Blank Miridewatch against her chest. Her armor began to fade in color and become static and glitch filled as purple energy was pulled from it and into the Blank Miridewatch.
[SHINOBI!]
Blake gasped out as her armor shattered, breathing heavily as she clutched her chest. Losing her transformation was different this time however as she no longer had the Shinobidriver on or the gourd that stored her gear.
"Blake!" Sougo called out as he managed to stagger over, "Are you okay?"
"S-Sorry…" Blake could only give a light nod as she was helped by Sougo to sit up.
"Do not be sorry, because of your foolish actions you've now come to realize that this is the only way to press forward," Shiro-Woz explained as he held up the Shinobi Miridewatch. "I do hope you remember this for the future."
"You…" Sougo hissed out.
"This is the moment I've been waiting for!" Shiro-Woz called out as he held up the Miridewatch. He activated it before replacing the Woz Miridewatch on his Driver with it.
[SHINOBI! ACTION!]
In one swift motion Shiro-Woz closed up his Driver and spread his arms out, various digital rings surrounding him as his shoulders and chest strap disappeared, his visor becoming blank.
[TOUEI! FUTURE TIME!]
The digital rings flashed from green to purple as holographic replacements for the helmet, chest, body and shoulders appeared before launching onto Shiro-Woz's body.
[DARE JA? ORE JA? NINJA! FUTURERING SHINOBI! SHINOBI!]
The changes were surprisingly an inverse of the usual Armor Time that would occur to Zi-O, Geiz and Ruby. The strap was now a series of purple ninja wrappings, the chest being a four pronged purple shuriken with silver lining. The pad screens on his shoulders were now lined with four pronged shuriken points, Shinobi's symbol on them. There was now the addition of a flowing two tailed purple scarf around the neck.
Finally the helmet's crest changed to two kunai crossing each other with a shuriken in the center. The visor lit up to reveal purple katakana that spelled out 'Shinobi'.
Another Shinobi could only yell out and leap at Shiro-Woz, stomping at him only for its foot to hit the concrete. It looked around in surprise, Shiro-Woz having vanished among the warehouses vast shadows. It gasped out as it was struck twice against the back by Shiro-Woz who had hopped in and out of the shadows near it to do so.
Shiro-Woz had sunk into Another Shinobi's own shadow once more, chuckling a bit as he saw the Another Rider sink in to try and catch him. He simply caught Another Shinobi instead, bringing both back into view as he had a tight grip on the monster Riders neck. He then sent a powerful punch at Another Shinobi, sending it tumbling into a few boxes.
[FINISH NINPO!]
The familiar sound of the Shinobidriver rung out as Woz became a green blur of energy. He zoomed and struck past Another Shinobi twice with punches before spinning and sending an enhanced spin kick to send it flying backwards.
[KAMASHISUGI!]
Bringing out his Zikan Despear in its spear mode he pressed the sickle button on it before shifting the spear point, shifting it into its sickle formation. He used the scythe-like weapon to pick Another Shinobi up before striking against it a few times with heavy swings. He had then briefly brought out his Future Note to guarantee his victory.
~Before the strength of Kamen Rider Woz Futurering Shinobi… Another Shinobi was utterly defeated~
[BEYOND THE TIME!]
[NINPO! JIKAN SHIBARI NO JUTSU!]
Closing and opening his Driver he held his weapon back, it shining a bright green at the blade before he dug the sickle into Another Shinobi's stomach, lifting it up and sending it spinning. Green electricity formed around the Another Rider, keeping it stunned.
Shiro-Woz chuckled before pressing down on the sickle button before sliding his finger back and forth on the main pad of his Despear rapidly.
[FINISH TIME! ICHIGEKI KAMAN!]
Suddenly two projections of Shiro-Woz split from him, both launching out from two sides and slicing against Another Shinobi from two different directions. Shiro-Woz raised his sickle weapon before slicing down, unleashing a green slash of energy.
Another Shinobi couldn't hold itself together anymore, a green explosion engulfing it. Rentaro gasped out as he was thrown to the ground, the Shinobi Anotherwatch clattering near him and shattering. Despite being in pain, Rentaro was able to give a smile as he knew this time he was free.
Shiro-Woz simply looked over towards Blake and Sougo, "Overlord, there is one thing you should know and it's that you shouldn't be concerned by my presence, for now." He then turned and walked over to Isamichi, taking the gourd that held his Hattaridriver before crushing it, it disappearing into green digital sparks. "You won't need this anymore…" He trailed before walking away.
Sougo simply relaxed his body as he dismissed his transformation, "Sorry Blake."
"Its fine," Blake shook her head as she got to her knee, using Sougo to brace as she stood up with him. "I was actually going to offer Isamichi my gear for the Miridewatch if our plans didn't work out."
"Oh…" Sougo trailed before giving a nod and smiling, "Well at least it worked out in the end, right?"
"Yeah," Blake gave a nod, soon seeing Rentaro crawl over towards Isamichi.
Isamichi gave a groan as he began to come to, "W-What… happened?"
"You helped me," Rentaro gave a smile as he managed to stagger over and give his friend a hug, "Thanks man."
"R-Rentaro," Isamichi called out in surprise, "You're back to normal?"
"Yeah," Rentaro gave a nod. "Thanks for working so hard for me."
"W-Well hey, I was only simply doing it so the future could possibly be preserved!" Isamichi called out.
"Make all the excuses you want," Rentaro chuckled. "You're still a good friend."
Blake and Sougo could only give a smile as they saw what was going on, the two perked up when they heard footsteps. They turned to see Tsukuyomi, Weiss and Yang enter the warehouse.
"Oh jeez, were we too late?" Yang asked.
Blake gave a sad smile, "Sorry guys… Shiro-Woz took my Rider powers."
Weiss could only give a click of her tongue, "That man is too cunning."
"Either way, Another Shinobi was dealt with, so we've got that ordeal over with," Sougo mentioned.
Ruby and Geiz had been unable to get to 2022 despite all of their efforts. Due to them taking enough time the two had ended up missing most of what had happened. By the time they had any semblance of what was going on it was too late. Needless to say, Ruby wasn't feeling too good about what had happened. As a result she had asked to talk to Blake alone mostly just to apologize about the whole thing, the two in the living room of the apartment while Weiss and Yang went to shop for groceries.
Ruby gave a bow, "I'm sorry!"
Blake gave a light frown before smiling a bit, "Ruby its fine."
"It's just…" Ruby trailed as she stood straight but still looked down, "Despite telling you it wouldn't have to come to it, it still ended up happening."
"This is something none of us were prepared for," Blake reassured as she put a hand on her friends shoulder.
Ruby looked up a bit with worry in her eyes, "I know it's just… if we can't make a Ridewatch via the other timeframes then that means that Weiss and Yang are next."
Blake paused at this, realizing that Ruby was right, "Yeah… but we can't just leave the Another Riders rampaging around like this."
Ruby gave a nod before sighing and turning away, holding her arm, "There has to be a way to beat them without you all losing your powers…"
Blake meanwhile looked at her hand, bringing out her aura. The aura itself still gave her the boosted feeling she felt when she still had the armor. She wondered if her aura and strength boosts were permanent as a result.
"I may have lost my Rider Powers," she started, "But that doesn't mean I'm not going to help out. We'll figure out something."
Ruby simply glanced out the window before heading to the kitchen deep in thought, 'Was Kaito right? Am I really that weak that I can't help my friends when they need it? No… I just need to get stronger'
Blake could only stare at her friend in worry, the fact that Ruby seemed to change in demeanor ever since the fight with Kaito didn't sit right with her. Not to mention she was still wondering about the whole logistics of her, Weiss and Yang gaining Rider Powers while branching timeline splits also popped up on earth. Given that it only just happened when Sougo had come to Remnant alongside his nature as a ruler of time and space, she couldn't help but feel there was some sort of connection.
Sougo was returning to 9-5-DO when he saw that Woz was waiting for him with a concerned expression. The chronicler of time and space was sitting on the bench outside, gripping his book tightly.
"I think it worked out in the end," Sougo spoke up, "No matter what happens he'll still keep his heart and he has a nice friend too. But now Blake's…"
"So his scheme has begun then," Woz answered. "I had a feeling that this confrontation would only work to the favor of my other self."
"Honestly, it just puts into perspective some things," Sougo admitted. "Even if I didn't go then Blake would have still gone and lost her powers."
"Then what was the purpose of you going?" Woz asked.
Sougo thought a bit, remembering how more feral and dangerous Another Shinobi got the more it was reactivated, "I think… it was to push us into a situation where we'd be forced into a more vulnerable state."
"That is worrisome," Woz sighed.
"But it seems like the earlier split ups were a bluff," Sougo though felt the need to continue, "The powers that Weiss and Yang have won't be enough to beat their respective Another Riders when they pop up."
"Then we'll need to keep trying new combinations to find an alternate solution," Woz suggested. "They cannot be allowed to have Ridewatches created from them."
"Right…" Sougo trailed. "But if there is no other way…"
"Need I remind you that everyone is trying to alter the future of Oma Zi-O," Woz recounted to cut his overlord off. "While you choose the path of the Rider, many still see you as the inevitable Oma Zi-O. Meaning you are in danger even if you choose not to follow your dream."
Sougo glanced at Woz before nodding, "I see…"
"To speak truthfully and to bite my tongue and realize how wrong I was," Woz spoke up as he stood and began to walk off, "The only real ally you can count on is Miss Rose alone, she is the one who will allow you to follow your dreams without impediment."
Sougo could only watch as Woz watched off, turning back to head inside of the shop when he saw his friend vanish.
"So it didn't work," Tsukuyomi sighed.
"Sadly no, which means we're stuck at the moment," Geiz leaned forward.
The two were currently at a railing that was overlooking a river that split the city, a bridge hovering over them and providing them with shade.
Of course the two weren't alone, "Greetings, my Savior!"
Geiz and Tsukuyomi turned to see Shiro-Woz approaching with a grin on his face.
Geiz gave a light glare, "Shiro-Woz…"
"According to this book, on the Day of Oma in 2019…" Shiro-Woz held up his Future Note before opening it up. "A warrior will wield three Ride Watches that should not exist in this timeline or world. He will put an end to Oma Zi-O's ambitions, and make way for a new age!" He then closed his book, "So it says."
Tsukuyomi and Geiz could only look at each other in light concern though neither said anything.
"This Shinobi Watch is one of the three," Shiro-Woz held up the Miridewatch before holding it out to Geiz. "I entrust it to you, my savior. On the day of Oma, you will defeat Zi-O."
Geiz glanced down at the Miridewatch, if he took it then there was a chance Blake could get her powers back. But the fact that he was being given it by Shiro-Woz gave a high chance to the possibility that the powers were sealed inside that Watch forever unlike the normal Ridewatches.
And so Geiz had his answer, "I don't want it."
Shiro-Woz was surprised by this action, "Why not?"
"You think I trust you?" Geiz asked before clearing his throat. "First, Zi-O is a Rider not an evil overlord, if he was to go back on that path of Oma Zi-O then and only then would I take him out. Second, if it comes to that then I'll defeat him with my own power. And third, I don't like the way you play around with your supposed allies."
Shiro-Woz could only stare in surprise as he watched Geiz turn around, he turned his attention to Tsukuyomi, "And what of you?"
Tsukuyomi shook her head, "I believe in Sougo's choices, not to mention even if he were to go back on that path… I have no right to judge."
"I suppose that is how the dice falls," Shiro-Woz could only laugh as he didn't let the two's reactions bother him. "No worries, you will come to trust me in time. Until we meet again, my Savior…"
[SHINOBI!]
A purple tornado and dozens of leaves shot out of the Miridewatch once it was activated. It surrounded Shiro-Woz before he completely vanished entirely.
"This clinches it," Geiz spoke up once he was sure Shiro-Woz had vanished, "We've got Ridewatches of completely unknown Riders into the mix alongside the Heisei Riders still existing. And that's not even throwing Remnant into all of this."
"A new future is on the horizon," Tsukuyomi gave a nod.
"One that we know nothing about is approaching," Geiz agreed. "The entire reason we came back to this time… I didn't expect it to turn out this way, but our mission is gaining some progress."
"The fact that Oma Zi-O still looms in some fashion though…" Tsukuyomi trailed.
"That just means we have to keep changing things further," Geiz replied.
To Be Continued…
Next Time:
"True or False"
"What did you do to her?!"
"Take her powers my Savior."
"Miss Rose, you are the one who must defeat the remaining two Another Riders."
"I do know dark hidden secrets when I see them."
Chapter 40: The Shocking Truth 2019
Author's Note: So yeah… not so much of a happy end for Team Zi-O and Team RWBY this time with Blake losing Shinobi's powers. Not to mention Weiss is up on the chopping block as we tackle Quiz in the next set of chapters. Things are only going to get more tense from here folks as we get deeper into this arc.
By the way, OOO 10th is out and about and boy… is it controversial. I can like, understand why they did what they did. Am I extremely happy about it? Not really… I'm more so sad which I think is the point, there's this pain… but I'm not mad about it tbh. That being said, there are obvious things I can use from that movie! So expect them to probably show up in Roze way later down the line.
If that wasn't enough of stuff within the two weeks of chapters being updated, we got more. Team RWBY Project got unveiled as Ice Queendom, and I must say it is shaping up to be a very, very interesting spin-off. And um… considering certain aspects, I may end up using things? We'll see? There are a lot of interesting choices that I'm very curious to know more about.
With all that out of the way, there is no interlude next time so I'll see you all next time when we start the Quiz Arc in Roze. Thanks for reading and until next time.
