Chapter 31
Xena knocks upon the old wooden door leading to the lab. Movement can be heard on the other side of the door. "Coming." Calls out a male voice as she smiles to herself. Several seconds pass as the door opens and there standing before her is Shikaku Nara.
"Xena-sama. What brings you here today?" Shikaku questions with confusion in his voice as he glances behind her.
She smiles at him. "I have come to speak to you about developing some things for the children and villagers." She tells him with a blinding smile upon her own face. A smile he sees when Nexane comes to visit.
Arching a raven eyebrow as his dark eyes looked at her. "What would that be?" He questions as he takes a step to the side allowing her in.
"Well in a time before this. Also after my time there was a drink that was called soda. As it was made with flavored syrup and carbonated water. Some of them had caffeine and others did not." Xena begins to explain to him.
Shikaku moves his right hand under his chin, rubbing it. "Hmm…" He hums out. "That would be interesting." He tells her as they walk over to where Choza is working on new soldier pills.
"Yes, I think the children would enjoy it. I have the recipes. I just want to change some of it though." Xena with an afterthought.
"Alright." Shikaku just nods his head.
Choza looks up from his notes. He gives her a bright jolly smile. "Hello Lady Xena. What brings you here today?" He questions as he places his glasses down upon the desk before him.
"Oh like I was telling Shikaku-san. I have come to speak to you both about developing soda for the children. It will bring in extra income to the village. This stuff was very popular back in the day." Xena tells him with a soft smile upon her own face.
"That would be interesting. Let us make a batch and test it." Choza suggested with a grin on his jolly face.
Clan house
Yoshino smiles at all the ladies seated in her living room. "Would you like some tea?" She questions them.
Hera smiles at her. "That would be lovely." As she reaches out for the tea cup and bows her head to the Clan mother.
"Oh I can't wait for the wedding." Aphrodite grins as she is bouncing in place in her seat as she takes her cup of tea from Yoshino.
"I have a feeling this wedding will be one that everyone will be talking about for a very long time." Yoshino comments on the two Goddesses in her living room.
"Oh, it will be. This wedding will be grand. This wedding will put every Fire Lord's weddings to shame." Hera tells her with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Aphrodite giggles. "Oh this will be the wedding of the century." She adds as she takes a spin of her tea.
Elsewhere
Naxena trembles with fear. "Something is happening and I am not going to be enjoying what's to be awaiting me later." She tells Shikamaru as she turns to look at her future husband who also is looking at her with a worried expression as he is also pale.
"I do agree." Shikarmaru tells her as he falls back against his chair. "So much for a peaceful lunch." He adds as he sighs looking down at his meal before him.
"Yeah…." Naxena agrees as she nods her head wanting to just hide into the shadows.
