Spyro, Whirlwind, Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap were walking on the path in the Night Mines until they got to the Hide-And-Seek Room.
Then Spyro, Whirlwind, Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap walked to a Night Realm Dragon.
"Excuse me? Can you please tell us who you are?" Ronald and Cynder asked.
Then the Night Realm Dragon turned around.
"I am Fearless and I am the Conductor of the Night Train." The Night Realm Dragon said.
"Oh, you're Fearless? We've only heard your voice before but never met you in person before." Ronald and Cynder said.
"That's because I'm usually busy here but I know who you two are and you two are Ronald and Cynder, the Top Champions of the Night Tournament." Fearless said.
"The Top Champions?" Ronald and Cynder asked.
"Yes, the Top Champions, because not many can defeat those machine-operated vehicles and defeat Queen Lrocier while she was in full strength and not holding anything back and you didn't hold anything back either and those vehicles that you destroyed were created by me and her but don't worry about it as they were supposed to be destroyed." Fearless said.
"We see." Ronald and Cynder said.
"And the other three are Sunburn, Camo, and Zap, Elite Champions of the Night Field Tournament, since they defeated the second toughest opponents but Elite Champion is the rank below Top Champion." Fearless said.
"We see." Ronald and Cynder said.
"And you two must be Spyro and Whirlwind. I'm fully aware of Whirlwind's past but if the Guardians trust her then that is good enough for me and she's done really well to make up for what she'd done while under Malefor's control. And Spyro, I heard you helped Ronald and Cynder get together and that is a very nice thing to do." Fearless said.
"Thanks, Fearless." Spyro said.
"You're welcome, Spyro. Now, what are you and your team doing here?" Fearless asked.
"We came to battle the Night Train." Spyro said.
"Ah, I understand. My Queen sent you on a quest so you can fight her fair and square and if you are here then you must have completed the Night Source Tournament in Nightmuth though you took even longer to get here." Fearless said.
Then Spyro explained to Fearless about what happened earlier.
"Ah, I see. Well, it seems that you have gotten some practice. Well, I have to warn you: if you want you to fight the Night Train then you must get through my challenge first." Fearless said.
"We will." Spyro said.
"Great! And there are three parts of my challenge. And if you want to fight the Night Train, then you must fight the Night Caboose like you did with the Caboose in Munitions Forge before fighting Steam. And there is the Special Mine Cart for you to use." Fearless said.
Then Sparx went to the Special Mine Cart and tried to open the door but it wouldn't open and did the same thing for the other door but it didn't open either.
"The doors won't open!" Sparx said.
"How are we supposed to fight the Night Caboose if we can't get in the Special Cart?" Spyro asked.
"You can't." Fearless said.
"Then how are we supposed to complete the challenge?" Spyro asked.
"Spyro, Fearless said that there are three parts of her challenge." Ronald and Cynder said.
"Ronald and Cynder are right and the reason why you can't get in the Special Mine Cart is because you need a remote to open the doors and I have it right here!" Fearless said, showing the remote in her belt buckle after finishing her sentence.
Then Sparx tried to fly to the remote but then the remote shot out an Electric Vacuum and blew Sparx away.
"The remote has a special barrier and if you want to get it then you must get rid of the barrier and the only way to get rid of the barrier is to complete the first part of the challenge and the first part of the challenge is playing a game of Hide-And-Seek!" Fearless said.
Ronald and Cynder got excited.
"Hide-And-Seek?" Spyro asked.
"Yes, Hide-And-Seek, because this is the Hide-And-Seek Room after all, but not just any Hide-And-Seek because it's Night Hide-And-Seek." Fearless said.
Ronald and Cynder explained the rules of the Night Hide-And-Seek to Spyro and Whirlwind.
"You must find me three times to complete the first part of the challenge and you can't make any noise or otherwise, I will use a fog bomb, rendering your vision, to move to another area." Fearless said.
"Got it." Spyro said.
"I will give you some time to get ready for it. Come talk to me when you're ready for it." Fearless said.
"We will." Spyro said.
Then Spyro, Whirlwind, Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap turned around and walked eight steps forward.
