Rider Time Zi-O: Roze from Remnant
Chapter 67 – 2019: Truths Unveiled
Woz was currently in a grassy lot, staring at a large tree in the center of it. He glanced to the side and watched as Ruby stepped forward. The world went dark as time stood still on everything but Woz who opened up his book.
"As it is written here, recent graduate Tokiwa Sougo embarks on a path which will lead him to become the overlord of time, Oma Zi-O," He cleared his throat before holding out a hand, "Rejoice! By making a risky gamble, Miss Rose is able to allow Tsukuyomi to transform into a Kamen Rider. With Tsukuyomi in play, she is able to help Agito handily defeat the newly born Mirage Agito. By gaining both the Agito and G3-X Ridewatches we have gathered quite the collection now within the first two thirds of April."
He then closed his book with a slam.
"However as we continue to grow our enemies grow desperate… and while plans to return to Remnant are under way, the situation is going to change to hasten that process."
Earth – Zawame City, Mid April 2019
Ruby took a deep breath as she walked over to a particular enlarged tree in the center of a grassy lot. It hadn't been long after the Another Agito incident with everything slowing down. Plans to leave for Remnant were in progress so she figured she'd tie up any loose ends she still had. That meant confronting the Rider who had impacted her the most at the start of the year.
"So you've come back."
Ruby slowed down and stopped a few feet before the tree, "I have."
It wasn't long before Kaito Kumon faded into view, hands in his pockets as he kept a neutral stare. He took a few steps forwards but didn't say anything as he looked Ruby directly in her eyes.
Ruby didn't seem to falter at this demeanor, staying silent as she kept eye contact with Kaito.
"You've come to challenge me again, correct?" Kaito asked, "I told you I wouldn't be as kind the second time."
"I know and am fully prepared to face you in whatever challenge," Ruby answered firmly.
Kaito kept staring at Ruby before removing his hands from his pockets and bringing out his Sengoku Driver.
Ruby stared at Kaito as he prepared and initiated his transformation as she decided not to transform just yet.
"Henshin!"
[COME ON! BANANA ARMS! KNIGHT OF SPE~AR!]
"Not transforming?" Baron asked as his transformation finished.
"I've got a new approach to this," Ruby admitted as she brought out Crescent Rose while keeping it in its rifle mode.
"Very well," Baron said as he walked forward, swinging his Banaspear to block the energy blasts that Ruby shot out at him. He rushed forward before stabbing at Ruby only to watch her turn into a flurry of rose petals.
Ruby had used Petal Burst to launch herself past Baron, getting behind him and firing again. She narrowed her eyes when she saw Baron turn and just barely block her shot. But she managed to get him to take a few steps back with that attack. She watched as Baron closed in, spinning as she switched her weapon into its scythe mode, pressing the trigger and allowing the recoil to carry her swings as she countered Baron's swing with one of her own.
Baron gasped as his swing was forced away, he quickly tried to slash again only for Ruby to swing again, forcing his attack back. He gave a yell as he attempted to get past Ruby's recoil based strikes only to strike even with her once, and even then he had to back away.
"Fine then," Baron brought out a Mango themed Lockseed before replacing Banana with it, "But it won't be that easy."
"Fine by me," Ruby said as she prepared herself.
[COME ON! MANGO ARMS! FIGHT OF HAM~MER!]
The Mango Arms dropped down before unfolding and latching onto Baron, unfolding further and forming heavy red and orange themed Mango armor, giving him a cape and a long handled flanged mace with a spiked tip, the Mango Punisher.
"Cool," Ruby admitted in a low voice before using the recoil of Crescent Rose to launch herself forward, spinning and slashing. She was surprised when Baron lunged forward, easily deflecting her swing and forcing her back despite her added force. She gave a gasp as she quickly backed away from Baron moving forward and slamming the mace down against her.
"Looks like its Rider Time," Ruby said as she dismissed Crescent Rose and brought out her Ziku Driver and Ridewatch, "Henshin!"
[RIDER TIME! KAMEN RIDER ROZE!]
"Hmm," Baron stared as he watched Ruby transform into Kamen Rider Roze before she drew out a Ridewatch. He rushed forward, aiming his weapon's tip forward as he closed in.
[WEAPON TIME! ZANGETSU! MELON DEFENDER! MUSOU SABER!]
Roze yelled out as she charged forward, raising her shield as she blocked Baron's lunge, lifting the Mango Punisher up while gritting her teeth. She then let go of her shield as she leapt forward, slashing past Baron with her Musou Saber.
Baron gave a gasp before turning to swing.
[FINISH TIME! MELON TIME BLAST!]
Roze yelled and spun near instantly, a green burst of energy occurring as she slashed against Baron's stomach and chest. Sparks flew as she watched the red knight themed Rider back away while dropping the Mango Punisher.
"Not bad," Baron said as he took a few steps back before removing his Sengoku Driver entirely. Before Roze could relax he drew out a Genesis Driver before placing it on his stomach, his Mango Arms dissolving, "However I can keep going!"
"Fine by me," Roze said as she withdrew her Ridewatches before bringing out Silver Roze and splitting it into two, "It's time I show you how far I've come."
Baron gave a light scoff at those words before taking out a Lemon themed Energy Lockseed.
[LEMON ENERGY!]
Roze readied her upgraded Ridewatch, "Chou-Henshin!"
[SILVER TIME! KAMEN RIDER~! (RIDER~!) SILVER! (SILVER!) SILVER~! ROZE!]
[SODA! LEMON ENERGY ARMS! FIGHT THE POWER! FIGHT THE POWER! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FI-FI-FI-FI-FIGHT!]
Baron's bodysuit stayed the same, not going under any drastic changes like Zangetsu to Shin Zangetsu. Instead he gained the Lemon Energy Arms, it having a similar styling to Melon Energy. It gave him a chest piece and right shoulder guard alongside a cape, though that was about it aside from the additional headpiece that changed what showed underneath his visor.
A bright flash of light occurred meanwhile as Silver Roze now stood before the knight themed Rider.
Baron drew out his Sonic Arrow and drew back on the string while Roze brought out Silver Crescent, the two staring each other down. The two dashed towards opposites sides, Baron letting loose an arrow while Roze send out enhanced blasts of energy.
Dodging and firing was the name of the game for a good while, the two slowly starting to close in. Or rather, Baron was starting to close in when he saw that this was getting them nowhere and he needed to force the fight into a more decisive one.
[SILVER HENKEI!]
Just as Baron closed into slash, Roze stepped back while transforming her weapon into its spear mode, blocking the slash before pushing and forcing Baron back.
Baron quickly leapt backwards while firing arrows at Roze, trying to force her back into the drawn out long range battle they were having before. Roze however spun her spear, unleashing waves of light to deflect the arrows before launching forward with Petal Burst.
[SILVER FINISH TIME!]
"No you don't," Baron quickly drew slotted the Lemon Energy Lockseed into his Sonic Arrow before pulling back and charging yellow energy.
[LOCK ON! LEMON ENERGY!]
[SILVER TIME BLAST!]
Roze reformed right in front of Baron while stabbing forward, her spear shining a brilliant white light. Baron released his grip on his weapon's string, unleashing the built up energy at the same time. A burst of white and yellow light occurred alongside a small explosion.
Skidding out of the explosion on opposite ends were Baron and Roze, the two scuffed up but none the worse for wear. Roze was ready to keep on going when she saw Baron relax before tossing an object towards her.
Roze was quick to react, grabbing the projectile without a moment's hesitation. Her eyes widened the moment she felt the shape however. Quickly turning her hand she realized that she was now in possession of the Baron Ridewatch.
"Wait…" Roze asked before looking up, "Does this mean?"
"You pass," Baron said as his transformation dismissed itself, "I was able to get a good read on you through our fight. And I've seen it, you've changed."
"You were right," Roze admitted as she looked at the Ridewatch in her hands before lowering it. She dismissed her transformation and looked at Kaito, "I was stupidly trying to push all my feelings and problems down, trying to push my home down. It got so bad that even my other half called me out on it."
"And yet you're still here," Kaito crossed his arms, "Which means you've figured it out, the balance I told you to search for."
"Yeah," Ruby gave a nod before chuckling, "She really beat it into my head, literally. But I know now that I need to accept I'm a part of two worlds now. I have friends, duties, and ways to fight in both."
"There are many forms of strength," Kaito said before turning around, walking back towards the tree before coming to a stop, "The balance of your lives between Earth and Remnant… that is the core of your true strength. Remember that."
"Thank you, Kaito," Ruby gripped the Ridewatch tightly with a smile.
"Don't thank me," Kaito said before he turned transparent before fully vanishing.
Ruby went to pocket the Ridewatch before walking over to Woz who was waiting for her.
"What a rather spectacular battle," Woz said as he held his book in both hands, "You were able to claim the tool you couldn't back in January."
"Yep, thanks Woz," Ruby said as she gave a bow before fully walking over, "So how about we head back? We've got a trip to plan."
"Of course," Woz said as he threw his scarf out, it spiraling around him and Ruby, warping the two away from Zawame City.
Earth – Toyko, Mid April 2019
The Time Jackers were currently residing in an old abandoned building. The building itself was stripped bare at the moment. The only thing in the room they were currently in was tons of old fashioned boxy televisions. Swartz was sitting on one of the biggest ones, using its sturdy nature to allow himself a place to sit and think.
Uhr was currently pacing around while Ora leaned against one of the walls. Finis meanwhile was just staring at a wall of stacked box televisions.
"So…" Ora decided to finally speak up, "What's the next Another Rider?"
Swartz stayed silent as he was currently facing away from the others, hands clasped as he tried to calm himself. There was only one way that Tsukuyomi had those powers… and he was fine with that. In fact if it was just her having the powers then he'd be able to proceed with his plan unhindered. But it was the fact that she became a Rider. All he knew from what Finis had said was that Ruby was the one to deliver the equipment to Tsukuyomi.
The leader of the Time Jackers bit his lips as he tried to make sure he didn't blow up, if he blew up then that carried the risk of revealing his true plans. He had to be patient, he had to be calm, their next move needed to be planned carefully. But that was also a problem, because even if they could plan carefully there was no telling what Ruby and her allies would even come up with as a counter.
"Hey," Ora finally spoke up before looking at her leader and narrowing her eyes, "What's the next Another Rider?"
"I don't know…" Swartz muttered.
"What?" Ora asked, "What did you say?"
"I don't know," Swartz spoke up, a silence passing over the room as the members of the Time Jackers could only stare at their leader in surprise.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Ora asked.
"He doesn't know," Finis answered for their leader this time, "I don't blame him. Another Gaim, Blade and Agito have all gone up in smoke despite us taking advantage of the situations around them. And that's not counting the other Another Riders that were sent out."
"So they'll just keep taking out Another Riders until we have none left, huh?" Uhr asked.
"We need to do something though," Ora argued as she walked over to Uhr, "If we don't then we won't be able to stop Oma Zi-O."
"Unfortunately no matter what we do, that girl will find a way to counter it," Finis spoke up.
"Roze…" Swartz hissed out as his tapped his foot, "You're right, no matter what we do she'll find some way to mess it up. She was simply added muscle, but after Another Ghost that changed. When she disappeared, whatever happened most certainly had a monumental effect on the situation. And no amount of planning and underhanded tactics has been able to break past her changes."
"That's because despite your efforts you were missing several pieces of the puzzle."
Swartz heard the distorted voice before he and his followers turned. At the doorway that led into the room they saw the masked man that had been appearing for the past month. The Jester gave a chuckle as he skipped forward before giving a quick bow.
"The circus isn't in town," Ora gave a bored stare.
"Who are you?" Finis asked.
"A friend," The Jester said before putting his hands behind his back, "One who wishes to put everything back in balance."
"What do you mean?" Uhr asked.
"But first I have to say bravo!" The Jester began clapping rapidly before lowering his hands all of a sudden, "The fact that you all made it this far despite the handicaps is quite commendable!"
"Will you just shut up and just tell us your name already?!" Ora called out.
"Hold up," Swartz slowly stood up and walked to stand with his group, "Missing several pieces, handicaps. What are you getting at?"
"I mean, you basically had perfect plans in place," The Jester explained before spreading his arms out, the televisions all around them suddenly activating despite not being plugged in. It wasn't long before numerous amounts of footage began to play, a lot of it unfamiliar until the Time Jackers began to spot something.
"Is that… is that Roze?" Uhr asked as he pointed towards a television that showed Ruby fighting against a Beringel Grimm, "And what's that monster?"
"Hey, those are her friends too," Ora pointed out as she saw footage of Weiss, Blake and Yang fighting against the Grimm.
The Jester began to chuckle as the footage continued to play. He was showing the Time Jackers the true nature of their enemies, the true nature of Ruby Rose, up until before she was taken away. It wasn't long before they started seeing unfamiliar faces, more monstrous beings, allies, enemies, dozens of battles being fought…
"What's going on?" Finis asked.
"Just what is this footage?" Swartz questioned.
"That my friend's is simple…" The Jester gave a chuckle as he began to pace around, as all the footage began to shift to either shots of Remnant's Moon or Remnant itself, "What you're seeing is the true home of Ruby Rose, Kamen Rider Roze… the World of Remnant. So allow me to give you all some much needed clarity."
Ruby and Woz had returned from Zawame City though the two had yet to immediately rejoin the others. Instead they sought out what Ruby was curious about, that being Shiro-Woz's Time Mazine. Sure enough they were able to use the Beyondriver to bring it to them. Upon getting it in their possession they took a quick trip to Sento's warehouse to drop it off alongside the other Time Mazine's for maintenance. While they had used the Time Mazine's plenty of times before this, they needed to make sure the new additions to the traveling features were working properly for their inevitable trip to Remnant. Not to mention that the Woz Unit now needed to be updated with the new traveling features as well.
With that part of their mission settled they then headed back to 9-5-DO for the scheduled meeting. They were hoping that Sougo was right in that his Uncle was running an errand that would take all day. If that was the case then they'd have enough privacy for their meeting. The two soon arrived to see the front of the store as lively as ever with the Riders and Remnant residents all scattered about.
"And done," Blake said as she pulled away from Tsukuyomi.
"Thank you," Tsukuyomi gave a nod as a white aura surrounded her before fading, "Though are you really okay?"
"It just takes a bit out of us and we're not in a fight right now," Blake reassured, "Besides you need your Aura unlocked if we're going straight to Atlas."
"Looks like Tsuki's ready to go," Ruby said as she announced her presence.
"You got everything you needed out of the way?" Geiz asked.
"Yep," Ruby grinned and showed off the Baron Ridewatch, "I hate to brag but I was pretty cool out there."
"Whoa, nice one Ruby," Sougo called out.
"So he accepted your strength this time?" Tsukuyomi asked.
"Sure looks like it if she has the Watch now," Yang remarked.
"We have also taken control of my alternate counterparts Time Mazine," Woz added as he walked forward, "We now have three vehicles and weapons to utilize in Remnant once Sento Kiryu finishes the adjustments."
"Okay, looks like we're getting closer then," Sougo realized, "So, let's start this meeting."
"What's our first order of business?" Oscar asked.
"The biggest elephant in the room," Geiz said before looking around, "Do we leave the Relic here or not?"
"The whole reason we went on that journey was to get it to Atlas," Weiss pointed out.
"But…" Blake interrupted, "That was before we could access the Rider World. The fact of the matter is it might be safer here from Salem since she can't cross."
"Then what are we going to do, not go to Atlas?" Oscar asked.
"No, because we need to make sure Atlas is ready for Salem," Ruby replied, "There's no doubt that either Atlas or Vacuo is being targeted next, and given what happened at the Fall of Beacon there's a more likely chance they'll go after Atlas."
"So how do we explain the no Relic situation then?" Yang asked.
"We don't," Geiz replied, "We make a convincing fake and leave it to one of the Riders without anyone else knowing."
"Can we even produce a fake Lamp?" Oscar asked.
"We know enough mystical Riders to probably be able to," Tsukuyomi said.
"Then we're all in agreement?" Ruby asked as she looked around, "We'll leave the Lamp here and take a fake back with us to Remnant."
"Actually," Sougo raised his hand, "If we do make a fake then I think we should keep it between us."
"Why?" Yang asked, "Shouldn't the others know?"
"Given how shaky they were about Atlas to begin with they might not even want to go if we don't have the real Lamp," Geiz admitted as he looked down. While Jaune and the other stepped up, he did have to admit that there could be some doubt should their mission suddenly change, "Not to mention that if we just spring it on them before leaving then there's a chance they might slip up compared to us who have known and planned this out."
"Fair point," Yang relented.
"Exactly," Sougo nodded as he raised a finger, "It'll also give us the advantage on our enemies if we have some people believing that it's the real Relic."
"So long as we keep up the act then we should be good," Blake added.
"That being said," Ruby crossed her arms and looked at Oscar, "How does Ozpin feel about this?"
"Easier said than done," Oscar admitted as he lightly smacked the side of his head a few times, "I can feel like he's watching but just barely. At this point I think he might just be taking the backseat to let us take the lead."
"Jeez, he's really taking his time, huh?" Yang asked.
"Well given how some of us reacted," Ruby shot a knowing glance towards her sister, "Yeah he's probably trying to sort out everything, especially since I'm sure Uncle Qrow's reaction hit the hardest."
"Yeah… we probably could have handled it a bit better," Yang admitted.
"What's done is done," Geiz interrupted, "I think what's important now is we keep planning for the future."
"Then I suppose that brings us to our next subject about Atlas itself…" Ruby said before looking over to Weiss.
Swartz was stunned and that was hard since there was a lot of surprising developments ever since September of 2018. But this information had taken the cake. Thanks to the appearance of the Jester, he and his group had learned about Remnant's history, including minor but important details about Ozma and Salem's never ending war, and the current state of the world. Tucked between all of that was a brief history of Ruby and Team RWBY in general.
The Jester however had to keep from legitimately laughing as he had kept out the important detail of how Ruby was brought to Earth. He simply chose to say that an unknown person had brought her over. He knew who it was, he knew why they had done so, but he couldn't let Swartz have a full hand. This was also why he chose to not speak much about the Relics other than that they were potentially important.
"So you're telling me we've been outsmarted by a team of in-training monster hunters from another world?" Uhr asked.
"Yep," The Jester said.
"To think a girl crossing over from a vastly different world would cause these effects…" Finis mused as they put a hand to their chin, "There's more to it, isn't there?"
"If there is I wouldn't know," The Jester lied with a shake of his head, "I only know the broad strokes, like the history of both Worlds. I don't know the specifics like why or how certain things happen. But know this for certain, she is for sure the wrench in your plans."
"And how are we supposed to believe you?" Ora asked, "This could all just be made up lies you're telling us."
"Why would I have a reason to lie to you?" The Jester asked as he raised his arms, "And why would I even show up to you all if I was lying? I simply want you all to get on the same level."
"Thank you," Swartz spoke up.
Everyone turned to look at the Time Jacker leader who was grinning madly.
Ora raised an eyebrow, "Swartz?"
"Thank you, oh thank you," Swartz began to laugh in an unsettling way as he walked over to a television. All of them were currently paused on various frames. One in particular was an image of Ruby wielding Crescent Rose. He immediately plunged his hand into the screen, unleashing an energy blade as he completely destroyed the television, "Now I know who is to blame for sure. It's her, her and the world she never should have left."
"He's creeping me out…" Uhr muttered as he backed up.
"So I take it you now have an idea of what to do?" Finis asked.
"Oh I do," Swartz said as he dismissed the blade and turned towards his comrades and the Jester, "If she's going to mess with our world to give the Riders here an advantage, then we'll mess with hers."
"You want us to go to Remnant?" Uhr asked, "What about the Another Riders?"
"Any new ones can wait," Swartz answered, "If we're going to do anything against our foes we need to head to Remnant and distract them from gathering any further Rider Powers."
"I can only imagine what trouble you might cause!" The Jester called out with a giddy laugh before holding his hand out, the Time Jackers all flashing a grey coloration before it faded, "Have a gift!"
"What did you just do?" Ora asked.
"I believe our friend just gave us the necessary power to go to Remnant," Swartz gave a grin.
"It's a one way trip both times," The Jester held up a single finger, "One trip to and one trip from, so you better make sure you're prepared for this."
"What's there to even prepare?" Uhr asked, "What are we even supposed to get ready?"
"And why is it just a one way trip?" Ora crossed her arms.
"Because I can only offer so much power," The Jester explained, "But I can give you the tools you need so you won't waste precious resources."
"Oh?" Swartz raised an eyebrow, "Tell me more."
The Jester waved his hands before in a flash of grey a large wardrobe appeared.
"Clothes…?" Finis tilted their head.
"Nope," The Jester shook his head before opening it up, revealing that there were no clothes inside at all. Instead attached to the back and inside doors were tons of artifacts and weapons that were strapped to it. At the base of the inside were several cases that held various labels: Contract Cards, Rouse Cards, Gaia Memories, Cell Medals, Lockseeds, Eyecons, Bugster Virus Samples, and Unpurified Smash Essences.
"What's all this stuff?" Uhr asked as he walked closer.
"Your Another Riders are strong but shouldn't be wasted," The Jester replied, "So instead have these monsters from history at your disposal. I'm sure you can cause some fun and dangerous scenarios with these."
"You're just giving this to us?" Ora asked before narrowing her eyes, "Just what do you get out of all of this?"
"Balance… there is no balance now and you all will be crushed," The Jester explained, "But if you play your cards right then you can get the scale back on track and claim the victory you believe you deserve."
"Very well, I appreciate your assistance," Swartz said as he walked over and closed the wardrobe.
"I'm counting on you all~!" The Jester said in a singsong voice before walking out of where he entered from, vanishing soon after. It wasn't long before all the televisions began to shut off.
"So you really believe him, huh?" Ora asked.
"There's no need to be skeptical given what he's shown us," Swartz replied as he placed a hand on the wardrobe, "But a double check would be good… alongside giving our opponents a good dose of fear."
"You really want to give away that we know?" Uhr asked.
"Of course," Swartz gave a nod, "After all, they've probably done their damndest to keep us from figuring out their secrets. Just like with Tsukuyomi, they've held this close to their chests. So to make sure our masked friend is telling the truth and to strike a bit of fear… we're going to confront them."
"The issue is on how," Finis admitted as they began to pace around, "After all, they're pretty guarded. They'll just continue to deny everything."
"That's why we strike at someone that will send them into a panic," Swartz gave a smile before poking one of the televisions. Electricity was sent out from his fingertip as the television began to work again, soon enough showing the outside of 9-5-DO before switching to a view of Junichiro walking in the city with a box in his hands, "We strike at their heart."
"And that's about all I could tell you," Weiss admitted, having given a brief summary of how Ironwood and Atlas were in general before she fled, "Needless to say, given everything I've heard… it doesn't sound like Ironwood's in the best place. But there's no telling how he might be now, he might have relaxed."
"We'll just have to see then," Ruby gave a nod, "Because we have two options I'm going to lay out on the table right now."
"What kind of options?" Oscar asked.
"Depending on how he is we have two ways of going about this," Ruby explained, "Either tell him the truth about Salem we found out from Jinn. Or we don't tell him and come up with a lie to explain Ozpin's absence."
"That second one sounds a bit… iffy," Oscar admitted.
"Listen," Geiz spoke up, "No offense, but given what you all just mentioned and what we've seen of Atlas, lying sounds like the safer option at this point."
"It also wouldn't be a permanent lie, depending on what his plans are we'd need to tell him eventually," Ruby added, "But if he doesn't seem the most stable when we get there we should keep our cards close to our chests for the time being."
"Yeah, we need to see if we can trust him," Sougo nodded.
"I'm still not sure…" Oscar admitted, "It's starting to feel like we're no better than Ozpin."
"We just want to let everyone have a chance to earn our trust," Sougo spoke up, wanting dissuade any worries, "Also depending on what happens, I'd like to see if we can try and strike a big victory for Remnant. I think we're strong enough now to do so."
Ruby looked over in surprise, "Really?"
"You and your friends have helped us out so much on Earth," Sougo gave a smile, "So I think it's time we Riders help out Remnant a bit more."
"I think we should trust Ruby on this," Yang finally spoke up, "I know that lying hasn't exactly been handled the best around us. But if she thinks that's our best bet then I'll follow it."
"You all are free to give input as well," Ruby pointed out, "Just because I'm a Team Leader doesn't mean you all aren't included on this."
"The fact that you're letting us know about this decision right now is more than enough," Blake reassured, "We'll follow your lead."
"I've got nothing to add at the moment," Weiss shook her head, "But I am glad that you aren't trying to push this decision on yourself and giving us all a chance to consider and talk about it."
"Well you know I'm trying," Ruby gave a nervous chuckle.
"Just know that you won't have to take on everything alone if worst comes to worst," Yang added with a smile, "We're in this together alright?"
"Right," Ruby smiled back.
"I think we can do this," Sougo reassured.
"We do have a solid plan now," Tsukuyomi agreed.
"I suppose all that's left is setting a solid date," Woz replied, "How long should we be gone?"
"I say we do it over a weekend," Weiss suggested before looking over at the 9-5-DO residents, "Just tell Mr. Junichiro that you all want to spend the weekend over at our apartment. And we'll come back at the end of that timeframe. It'll be much longer for us, but you know."
"That should work," Tsukuyomi gave a nod.
"Nice idea Weiss," Sougo replied.
"It just felt like common sense was all," Weiss admitted.
"All we need to do is figure out which Rider can give us a duplicate Lamp," Geiz replied.
"Woz, you have any ideas?" Sougo looked back at his vassal.
"There is one that might be able to assist us," Woz said as he opened his book to show everyone, images of Wizard appearing on the pages, "Haruto Souma, Kamen Rider Wizard. While his magic wasn't the strongest originally, that changed not long after his battle. He hid a most powerful magic stone within himself, and that has boosted his magic considerably. He'll likely be able to give us what we seek."
"Then that's settled," Ruby gave a nod before hearing her phone buzzing, she raised an eyebrow when she saw the ID, "Emu?"
"Ruby, thank goodness, I couldn't get a hold of you on the hotline," Emu sighed in relief.
"Uh sorry, we're away from the apartment," Ruby apologized, "What's wrong?"
"There's a large Bugster Virus alert, I'm not sure how many but it's pretty sizeable," Emu replied, "I was hoping you all might be able to take care of it?"
"Let me guess, everyone else is busy?" Ruby asked.
"Pretty much," Emu admitted, "Think you all can handle it?"
"Yeah we'll clean it up for you guys," Ruby reassured before hanging up, "Okay, meeting paused because there's a Bugster Virus alert."
"CR can't get it?" Geiz asked.
"There's a reason Emu called me," Ruby shook her phone, "That being said it's just a Bugster Virus, so not all of us need to head out."
"Who goes then?" Yang asked.
"Um…" Ruby looked around, "Me, Sougo, Tsukuyomi, and Blake!"
"So it'll be just the four of us?" Blake asked.
"I figured Tsuki could use some more practice, Sougo has Ex-Aid, I've got Genm and Para-DX," Ruby listed off, "And you have the Gashacon Sparrow. So we're a Super Effective team!"
"Sounds good to me," Sougo gave a nod.
"I suppose I could use more practice," Tsukuyomi agreed.
"The rest of you all find a way to get in contact with Haruto, oh and let Kougami know we need the hotline cut for a weekend," Ruby said before rushing out of 9-5-DO alongside Sougo, Tsukuyomi and Blake.
Swartz was currently smirking as he watched the chaos below. Perched on various buildings in the area were also Ora, Uhr and Finis. The four Time Jackers watching as a mob of Bugster Virus grunts marched through the city streets. Leading the mob was the loudmouth Motors Bugster, and despite all the damage occurring he wasn't without a mission. Because aside from causing panic, the Bugster Viruses didn't chase after anyone else, they were simply following Motors
"Come on, come on! Be the wind! Escape from me!" Motors called out as he pretended to rev a motorcycle.
His target was Junichiro who was out running an errand when he had gotten caught up in the attack, "S-Stay back!"
"No way punk," Motors shouted as he continued to approach, "Make this race interesting!"
Junichiro could only stammer as he walked backwards only to press up against a wall, "P-Please just stay away! I'm not that tasty, only my cooking is!"
It wasn't long before the team of Ruby, Sougo, Tsukuyomi and Blake arrived on the scene, all of their eyes widening at the target.
Sougo's eyes widened as he instinctively shouted, "Uncle?!"
"S-Sougo? Ruby?" Junichiro managed to stammer out as he saw them in the distance, "Get away from here! Save yourselves!"
"This isn't good…" Ruby hissed out as she noticed the Bugsters were ignoring everyone else who had just run away, "Why are the Bugsters targeting him?"
"We need to help him," Sougo immediately rushed forward as he readied his transformation.
"Sougo, Sougo wait a minute!" Tsukuyomi called out as she tried to grab and stop Sougo to no avail, "Damn it."
"We're going to have a lot of explaining to do," Blake sighed.
"I figured we couldn't keep it a secret forever," Ruby sighed before readying her transformation, "Then let's go, Tsuki!"
"R-Right," Tsukuyomi gave a nod.
"Henshin!"
[RIDER TIME!]
[KAMEN RIDER~! (RIDER~!) ZI-O! (ZI-O!) ZI-O~! II!]
[KAMEN RIDER ROZE!]
[KAMEN~ RI~DER~ TSUKU~YOMI! TSU-KU-YO-MI!]
"E-Eh…?" Junichiro could only stare as he watched his nephew and his friends suddenly transform into their Rider forms, "Sougo…? Ruby and Tsukuyomi too…?"
"Get away from him!" Zi-O yelled out as he grabbed onto Motors before tossing the Bugster away.
"Sorry about this Mr. Junichiro!" Roze called out as she brought out Crescent Rose in its scythe formation, slamming it in front of several Bugster Viruses to stop their movements before picking it out and swinging it to cut through them, "Blake!"
"On it," Blake leapt onto a Bugster Viruses head, summoning her Gashacon Sparrow and leaping forward, using Shadow to land near Mr. Junichiro, "We need to get you to safety."
"A-Alright," Junichiro managed to get out as he was slowly but surely hurried along by Blake.
"No you don't," Swartz narrowed his eyes, "Ora, Uhr."
Ora and Uhr quickly drew out two cards, pouring their energy into them before tossing them forward. Soon enough both cards suddenly formed into monsters, one being the Eagle Undead while the other was a Mirror Monster, Biogreeza.
The two monsters gave growls as they charged towards where Blake and Junichiro were. The huntress in training aimed with her weapon's bow mode and fired arrows at them. Both monsters were struck and sparks flew but they pushed past the pain and rushed forward.
"Guys, I need some help!" Blake called out as she tried to keep shooting to keep them away. That was until Biogreeza turned invisible while the Eagle Undead countered with its own projectiles.
"A Mirror Monster…?" Zi-O asked.
"And an Undead," Roze added, "What's going on?"
"Guys," Tsukuyomi called out as she grabbed onto Motors who had attempted to escape, she then kicked him away, "Leave the Bugsters to me!"
"Right," Roze gave a nod before using Petal Burst while loading in the G3-X Ridewatch. She then slid in front of Blake and Junichiro who backed up.
[G3-X! WEAPON TIME! GM-01 SCORPION!]
Roze summoned the pistol before taking aim, firing high caliber rounds at the Undead. The Eagle Undead responded by crossing its arms, bracing against the bullets. Roze quickly raised her hand and brought out the GG-02 Salamander. Attaching it to her weapon she began launching grenades out at The Eagle Undead, sparks flying as it was forced backwards.
Zi-O meanwhile was running towards his Uncle and Blake while looking for any sight of Biogreeza. When he couldn't find any hint he resorted to using his future sight.
'Biogreeza had ended up using its invisibility to scale the building nearby Junichiro and Blake, removing its cloaking as it dropped down on them to attack.'
"I can see it," Zi-O gave a gasp, "Blake, above you to your right!"
Blake quickly turned, taking aim and firing just as Biogreeza dismissed its cloaking. The Mirror Monster gave a gasp as it was sent towards the ground, Blake quickly pushing Junichiro away as she backed up.
Biogreeza soon stood up, giving a growl before charging forward. Blake quickly met its charge, splitting her weapon into its sickle modes. She ducked underneath a swipe before slashing at its stomach, sparks flying as it took a few steps back.
[RIDER! RIDER GIRI!]
Zi-O gave a yell as he brought out the Saikyo Girade, using its normal special attack to slash at the Mirror Monster and send it tumbling back.
"Keep him safe," Zi-O looked back towards Blake.
"I will," Blake gave a nod as she began to back up and take a defensive stance while near Junichiro who was still bewildered.
[BARON! WEAPON TIME! BANASPEAR!]
Roze quickly brought out the Banaspear and rushed forward, stabbing at the Eagle Undead who blocked with its claws. It pushed Roze's weapon away before clawing at her, clashing against her lance as she had brought it up again just in time to block.
"Now this is quite the predicament," Swartz called out in a coy voice as he walked into view from the side, "Not prepared for this are you?"
"Swartz?" Roze asked before quickly kicking the Eagle Undead away, she then rushed in and slashed past it before spinning and slashing at its back, "Why are you after Sougo's Uncle?!"
"What, you can't handle the pressure?" Swartz asked.
Roze was ready to make a retort when she was quickly forced to raise and brace against her weapon, blocking against the Eagle Undeads claws.
"I'm disappointed, especially if all it takes is a bit of unexpected attacks to force you out of your groove…" Swartz remarked before giving a devilish grin, "Well no wonder Beacon Academy fell to the Grimm during the Vytal Festival."
Both Zi-O and Tsukuyomi paused when they heard that, grabbing both of their monsters but turning when they heard Swartz speak.
"Wait how does he know that?" Blake questioned in shock.
"How did you…?" Roze nearly choked before hissing as her grip had faltered, taking a few steps back as the Eagle Undead pushed forward, "W-What are…"
"Honestly it's laughable, that someone training to become a monster hunter would become a Kamen Rider," Swartz laughed a bit as if to emphasize it, "To think a girl from another world has been the source of my problems all this time. I must give you some credit to your persistence though, the fact that your school, your team, all of that was torn up and sent to ruin, and yet… you kept going, you wanted to make those responsible pay. If I had met you on Remnant then you would have made such a capable Another Rider."
"H-How do you even…" Roze started to speak up before giving a yell as she was sent staggering back by the Eagle Undead who used her shocked state to its advantage.
"The playing field is now even Roze, especially now that you're reactions give me just what I needed," Swartz spoke up in a more serious tone, "And now that I know your world exists, and that it's ripe for the picking… well don't expect us to play nice anymore."
"Don't even dare!" Roze gave a hiss as she turned and went to slash at Swartz only for the Eagle Undead to get in the way and block her attack, "Out of my way!"
[BANANA TIME BLAST!]
Roze gave a yell as she broke through the Eagle Undeads defenses before skewering it with the Banaspear, a projection of a banana launching out and engulfing the Undead as it exploded. By the time she had done that however, Swartz was nowhere to be found. Roze looked around frantically but there was no sign of the Time Jacker leader, even Uhr, Ora and Finis had vanished as well.
"Let's finish things up, now!" Tsukuyomi called out as she kicked Motors away.
"On it," Zi-O called out as he raised his left arm, Biogreeza launching out its tongue towards Zi-O and catching his arm, "Come here!"
The Mirror Monster could only yelp as it was sent staggering forward as Zi-O rushed in while dropping his weapon, initiating his belt's finisher.
[RIDER FINISH TIME! TWICE TIME BREAK!]
Energy gathered in Zi-O's right forearm and fist before he punched forward, striking Biogreeza in the gut and causing a large explosion to occur.
"Oh no, time to be like the wind and retreat!" Motors declared as he stood up, revving an invisible bike up before suddenly speeding off. That was until he suddenly stopped and gave a yelp, "What?!"
Tsukuyomi held her hand out as she had stopped time around Motors before he could get too far.
"Tsukuyomi!" Zi-O called out as she tossed the Ex-Aid Ridewatch over to her, "Finish it now!"
Tsukuyomi gave a nod and grabbed the Ex-Aid Ridewatch, bringing out the Zikan Girade Tsu in its gun mode. She activated Ex-Aid and loaded it onto her weapon while initiating her Driver's finisher once she saw the Bugster Viruses closing in on her.
[FINISH TIME!]
[TIME JACK!]
Tsukuyomi gathered energy with in her right shin and boot, it shining a bright gold coloration as she spun around. She then kicked out, a crescent burst of energy being unleashed and cutting through the remaining Bugster Viruses. She then took aim with her gun, holding it with both hands.
[EX-AID JINSOKU SHOOTING!]
Tsukuyomi gave a yell as she pulled the trigger and fired off a powerful multi-colored energy blast. The blast hurtled towards Motors who was finally freed of the time stop. He turned around only to give a yell as he was struck in the chest, falling over and exploding.
"Uncle, are you okay?" Zi-O asked as he hurried over towards Junichiro.
"Sougo, w-what just happened…?" Junichiro asked.
"It's a… long story," Roze admitted as she walked over alongside Tsukuyomi, the three Riders gave nods to each other before dismissing their transformations.
"We're… uh…" Sougo started, clasping his hands together as he looked down, "Do you think we could head back to 9-5-DO?"
"O-Of course we can," Junichiro gave a nod.
Watching from an alleyway was Daiki who was observing the situation carefully. Once he saw the five walk off he quickly turned and entered an Aurora Curtain. What he wasn't aware of however was that he and everyone else were being watched by someone else.
The Jester was perched on a tall building, giving a small chuckle to himself before looking around and chuckling even further when he could feel he was alone. He then pulled off his mask before dropping his blue cloak, revealing himself to be the same man in glasses with the tan coat and fishermen hat that was present when Tsukasa, Oscar and Tsukuyomi were looking into Sougo's past. He gave a grin as he watched everything come together.
"Yes…" He trailed, "Very soon you all will clash and continue your path to give me what I desire. This will certainly end in your destruction… Zi-O..."
The Hikari Photo Studio was a bit lively at the current moment. Despite planning on advancing in their own ways, Tsukasa and Summer saw it fit to relax for a bit while Sougo and the others were making their plans. The two were currently in the main studio room with Natsumi sitting around the table as they all locked eyes with each other. Summer however gave a smug grin as she drew out a card.
"Attack Ride: +4!" Summer called out as she slammed a green Uno +4 Card onto a green card.
"No way…!" Natsumi called out before giving a glare, "Fine…" she turned towards Tsukasa, "You're taking the fall! I also have a +4!"
Tsukasa could only watch as his friend slapped a blue +4 card on top of Summer's, "I see…"
"Draw your cards," Summer smiled.
"Yeah right," Tsukasa held up a finger before suddenly bringing out a red +4 from his hand, "Final Attack Ride: P-P-P-Plus Four!"
"No way…" Summer trailed as she saw the card smack into the table before suddenly slumping and pressing her head against it as she let her hand drop, revealing she didn't have another +4 Card to counter with.
"Oh jeez, that's twelve she has to draw," Natsumi winced.
"Tsukasa why…?" Summer whined out.
"You tested me," Tsukasa crossed his arms, "You shouldn't have done that."
"Sounds like you all are having fun," Daiki remarked as he entered in a slight hurry.
"Daiki," Natsumi smiled as she stood up and walked over, "How have you been?"
"I've been doing well enou-ah!" Daiki was suddenly jabbed in the neck by Natsumi's thumb, giving a pained laugh as he fell to his knees.
"That's for causing all that trouble for those kids!" Natsumi called out.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Daiki shouted between laughs, "You didn't have to do that!"
"Draw twelve…" Summer whined as she paid no attention to her friend's entrance.
"There there," Tsukasa gave a few pats to Summer's head before looking over at Daiki, "Why'd you show up now?"
Daiki began to control himself as he held his neck, "Y-you know how you wanted me to keep tabs on those kids?"
"Yes," Tsukasa replied, "It's an important role after all."
"Well it turns out the Time Jackers found out about Remnant," Daiki replied, "They just confronted those kids about it."
"Wait, they know about Remnant now?!" Summer questioned as she sat up with a more concerned expression, "How?!"
"I'm not sure," Daiki said poked his ear in annoyance at how loud Summer was before he clicked his tongue, "And they've got quite the treasure… they were using other monsters than Another Riders."
"What…?" Tsukasa asked as he had to do a double take, "You're sure?"
"Saw a Bugster, Undead and a Contract Monster all working together," Daiki answered in a matter of fact tone, "I'm absolutely sure."
"Something's coming up again, huh?" Natsumi asked.
"Unfortunately," Tsukasa replied as he rubbed the back of his neck, "This is going to get annoying."
"I need to get ready," Summer said before looking over at Natsumi, "Are they still where I left them?"
"They are," Natsumi nodded.
"Good," Summer said before heading out of the main studio space and walking over to the developing room before entering. She then walked to the very back, finding a big box in the corner. She opened it up and began rummaging through the foam peanuts before pulling out a fairly large carrying case. She stared at it for a few minutes before holding it tightly, "I guess there'll be no avoiding it soon. If I'm returning to that world I'll need my old Huntress gear."
It was a long and quiet trip back to 9-5-DO, and the lively atmosphere of everyone discussing their current plans at the shop suddenly turned deathly silent when Sougo entered first with his uncle. Needless to say it was a long and arduous task on explaining the current situation. First was telling the others about the big news which was the Time Jackers learning about Remnant. With that news dropped, everyone knew that they needed to accelerate their plans to return.
They also needed to explain about Ruby and her friends' origins, giving a brief cliff notes version since they didn't want to bother with too many details. They spoke mostly about Humans and Faunus to explain Blake, Aura and Semblances alongside Huntsmen and Huntresses. They talked about the fight against the Grimm and their leader Salem alongside the subjects of Maiden's and Relics.
Then it was onto starting to explain the threat on Earth. The only thing that they did leave out was Oma Zi-O, since they could tell that this was already a lot of information. But even then, Geiz and Tsukuyomi knew they couldn't say stuff regarding Oma about Sougo to his uncle. So they simply kept to saying that Geiz, Tsukuyomi and Woz were from the future to prevent a great calamity. They quickly led into talking about the Time Jackers and their plans to attempt using Another Riders to create a King for them to rule with.
Junichiro was currently in awe at the stories that had been told as he was sitting at the dining table in the back of the shop. Everyone else had moved to the back and stood around in the dining room or kitchen with some sitting in the chairs and futon.
"Well… that's all there is to say," Ruby said before giving a bow, "I'm sorry for keeping this from you but... I don't think you would have believed me when we first met."
"Oh Ruby…" Junichiro trailed as he tried to think of what to even say, "You don't have to feel bad about it. Like you said, I probably wouldn't have believed you. I mean it's hard to believe now but with the resurgence of monster attacks and all the weird things going on… especially today…"
"We're sorry," Sougo gave a bow as well, "We should have probably still said something about the other thing, that we're both Kamen Riders alongside Geiz, Tsukuyomi and Woz. Back in September I gained a great power. I've used it to fight evil, to protect people, to fight alongside and help my fellow Riders."
"Just like a real king," Junichiro spoke up, his voice in slight disbelief but everyone could hear how proud that he was about the whole situation, "No wonder you wanted to take a brief break from wanting to go back to school. You've got a duty to stop those Time Jackers. Everything just makes sense now."
"So, you aren't mad?" Weiss asked.
"Of course not," Junichiro shook his head, "I mean, I'm going to be absolutely worried about you guys, but you're all doing incredible things for the sake of two worlds!"
"Right and well…" Sougo trailed as he looked at his Uncle, "I'm sorry but we're going to need to leave soon. Ruby's world needs help and now the Time Jackers are trying to mess it up further."
"If you think I'm going to stop you all from going, you're absolutely wrong," Junichiro answered, "But at least go in the morning. I'll cook you all up a great dinner and breakfast to make sure you all are rested and well fed before you go."
Ruby couldn't help but smile at that, "We'd appreciate it."
"We need to get some stuff done anyway," Geiz admitted before holding up his Faizphone X, "I got in contact with Section Zero and asked about Wizard."
"We also need to make sure Sento can have the adjustments ready by tomorrow morning," Blake pointed out.
"And we need to start making plans about the apartment and everything else," Weiss added as everyone else gave nods.
Everyone had decided to split up into groups to cover more ground. Weiss, Blake and Yang were in charge of apartment preparations. Meanwhile Geiz, Tsukuyomi and Oscar were in charge of making sure Sento had the Time Mazines ready for them. That left Ruby, Sougo and Woz tasked with meeting up with Haruto, the three having brought the Relic of Knowledge with them.
The group was currently at a vacant beach, the three waiting as they sat on the steps that led downwards. They were also discussing who they could leave the Lamp with after they got their copy before coming to a decision. They all perked up when they suddenly heard a bike engine, turning towards where they heard it.
Soon enough Haruto approached them on his Machinewinger, slowing down and stopping before he removed his helmet.
"It's been a while," Haruto gave a smile.
"It has," Ruby smiled back as she stood up and walked over, "How have you been?"
"Oh you know, continuing to take in the sights," Haruto said, "How about you all?"
"Pretty alright, the past several months have been crazy," Sougo admitted before his expression grew serious, "We need your help."
"My help…?" Haruto tilted his head, "Is it Phantom related? Or did Another Wizard come back?"
"Not exactly…" Ruby trailed, "The Time Jackers are up to no good and we need to follow after them."
"We have a request however," Woz soon held up the Relic of Knowledge, "We know you are adept in magic, especially now, so could you make a copy of this?"
"A copy…?" Haruto asked as he went to take the lamp, giving a light gasp as he felt the magic flowing through it, "Hmm… I don't think it'd be a perfect one. Whatever this is, it's very unique."
"We don't need the copy to function like the original aside from changing size," Ruby explained, "We just need it to be convincing."
"Then let me try," Haruto allowed the Lamp to be held in front of him by Ruby who walked over. He slid on a different Magic Ring before scanning it.
[COPY, PLEASE!]
He then held out his hand, as if reacting to the Reilc of Knowledge a pink glow erupted from the ring and belt buckle before a pink Magic Circle slid over it. As it slid past the Relic of Knowledge a second one could be seen next to it. Ruby caught the fake Relic while Haruto caught the real one.
"Looks like it worked," Haruto said before holding out the real Relic.
"Actually, could you hold onto it for us?" Sougo asked, "We figured it could be safe with a Rider, and since you're always moving around we think you might be the best man for the job."
"I know I can feel it, but what's so special about this Lamp anyway?" Haruto asked.
"Well… Jinn," Ruby spoke purposefully, watching as the fake Relic did nothing but the real Relic reacted.
Time froze on that spot as cyan smoke began to emanate from the real Relic, the lamp being enveloped in it as Jinn emerged from the smoke.
Jinn couldn't help but give a smile, "Well now… this is an interesting locale you've brought me to girl. Though it wasn't your idea given the rough treatment but…"
"Sorry about that," Ruby apologized, "And we don't have a question for you right now either."
"So why did you summon me?" Jinn asked.
"For you to meet your new guardian," Ruby gestured towards Haruto, "He'll be keeping the Relic of Knowledge and by extension you, safe for the time being."
"Hello there," Haruto gave a wave though he was currently glancing towards the side.
"Oh, now you are interesting," Jinn admitted as she floated closer, "You're similar to the old man but not really."
"Anyway, Haruto this is Jinn, Relic of Knowledge," Ruby gestured from Haruto to Jinn before gesturing back, "Jinn, this is Haruto Souma, Kamen Rider Wizard."
"Pleasure to meet you," Jinn replied.
"Likewise," Haruto replied before looking at Ruby, "You sure about this?"
"Absolutely," Ruby gave a nod, "Plus you travel around a lot, I figure even if Jinn isn't fully aware of what's going on she'd appreciate being outdoors for a while and not stuffed away."
"How kind of you kid," Jinn remarked, "And here I was going to berate you for not asking a question. But I appreciate you willing to let me know about what's going on."
"I still don't like how much you showed us in regards to Ozpin," Ruby admitted with a stern glare, "But I'm willing to look past that and let you at least have as much freedom as I can think of."
"Well, if that is all," Jinn said with a smirk before she dismissed herself, the smoke returning to the lamp as it soon floated over to Aruto before shrinking in size.
"This is kind of cool," Sougo admitted as he was playing around with the fake Relic, it shifting size seamlessly as he holstered it before unhooking it and allowing it to grow to its full size.
"I swear…" Woz pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Well if there are no other questions we need to get going," Ruby said as she hurried over to her friends, "Got a lot of stuff to plan for and get ready."
"Take care," Haruto gave a wave as he watched Woz unfurl is scarf and wrap it around the three. Once they vanished he then hooked the Relic to Knowledge to his pant's belt loop before walking over to his Machinewinger, "Let's get some donuts."
The Next Day
The Zi-O, Geiz and Woz Unit Time Mazines were lined up in their vehicle modes in front of Sento's warehouse. Seeing the group off were Sento and Ryuga, but also Junichiro who had gone with the group of nine after feeding them breakfast.
Once there the group had gotten all their belongings from Remnant and worked on getting their gear back on. Team RWBY alongside Sougo and Oscar had all gotten back into their Huntress and Huntsman attire from Mistral, with Geiz and Tsukuyom getting into their gear from 2068.
"Hmm," Weiss looked at Sougo and put a hand to her chin.
"Something wrong…?" Sougo asked.
"Here," Weiss walked over and removed her scarf before wrapping it around Sougo and making sure it was tucked underneath his coats collar, "There we go."
"Eh, are you sure?" Sougo looked down.
"Positive," Weiss pulled away before nodding and crossing her arms, "Yeah, now that completes the look."
"What about you though?" Sougo asked.
"I'll be fine," Weiss reassured, "I've been raised in Atlas before, and even if I dislike the cold I can stand it until we make it somewhere warm."
"O-oh, okay," Sougo gave a nod.
Junichiro couldn't help but give a small smile at this interaction though, noticing the two's behaviors.
"Okay, weapons check?" Ruby asked as everyone made sure their weapons were out and ready to go while also being holstered. Yang though was checking her arm, having tried to paint around the scuffs and burn marks from the fight against Oma but having been unable to repair it properly.
"First thing we need to try to do when we get to Atlas is find a place to fix up my sword and Yang's arm," Blake mentioned as she kept Gambol Shroud holstered for the time being, the broken blade being in her coat pockets.
"Right, I'm sure once we figure out things we'll get to do that," Ruby gave a nod.
"How's getting the hang of that Aura?" Geiz asked his friend.
"A bit odd but I think I've got a good handle on it," Tsukuyomi admitted.
"Alright, alright ladies, gentlemen, Ryuga," Sento called out much to his partners ire, "The Time Mazines are prepped with the coordinates and timeframe. Just pilot those like you usually would and you'll be good to go."
"Don't worry," Junichiro spoke up, "I'll take care of things while you're gone!"
"And you're sure you can handle us being gone for a week?" Blake asked, "Along with making sure the apartment's well kept?"
"I know you suggested the week idea," Tsukuyomi spoke up, "But…"
"Of course," Junichiro called out with a hint of pride, "After all, you need somewhere to return home to, someone who will welcome you all home, so allow me to take care of that. I'll make sure I cook up a good feast for you all when you come back from a mission accomplished."
"We'll hold you to that," Yang gave a grin as she pointed towards the clock shop owner.
"Thanks for everything Mr. Junichiro," Ruby said before giving a bow, "You're really the best!"
"You kids stay safe now," Junichiro said.
"Right," Ruby gave a nod before turning with everyone else to head for the Time Mazines. Well everyone accept for Sougo.
"Give me one second guys," Sougo said as he walked over to his uncle, "Sorry about springing this on you."
"Its fine," Junichiro replied as he grabbed his son by the arms and gave a proud smile, "You've grown into a fine young man Sougo. They'd be proud, and I know I'm proud. You found your calling, just like I found mine. I know that while I wait for you all, keep everything in order, and work hard, that you all are doing what needs to be done."
"Uncle…" Sougo smiled brightly.
"Have a safe trip," Junichiro ruffled his nephew's a head before giving Sougo a pat on the shoulder.
"We will," Sougo had a determined stare before going to meet with everyone else. Sougo, Weiss and Ruby had entered the Zi-O Unit, Geiz, Blake and Yang the Geiz Unit, with Woz, Oscar and Tsukuyomi entering the Woz Unit.
"Space-Time Transport System, activate!"
Upon those words from Sougo, Geiz and Woz, the Time Mazines powered up as the coordinates were set.
Junichiro could only watch with a smile alongside Sento and Ryuga as he saw the trio of Time Mazines take off from the ground before launching into the air. A time gateway appeared before the three entered it, the gateway closing as they were now taking off from Earth, back to Remnant.
Earth – Futo City, Mid April 2019
Philip was currently in the Gaia Library doing some off the job research on a topic that interested him when the entirety of the area flashed red several times. He then heard an audible unlocking sound as he turned, the coloration returning to normal.
The shelves of the Gaia Library began sorting themselves out behind him before finally leaving one book. It was white with red thorn-like patterning on the edges and it held a fancy cursive printed 'Rose' on it. It was the Rose Book that he was unable to access back in 2018 when he had met Ruby. To his surprise however the padlock was gone.
"How compelling… and curious…" Philip trailed as he walked over and opened up the book, his eyes widened as he went through the information before him, "This is…"

Chapter 68: The Greatest Kingdom?
Author's Note: So a lot happened in this chapter, to where I knew this couldn't just be a simple interlude between this and the next Arc. Ruby got to have her rematch with Kaito, Junichiro learned Sougo was Zi-O way earlier, and of course the Time Jackers found out about Remnant. With Tsukuyomi becoming a Rider of course we needed to have a shakeup and what better way to have one, right? And thus we've finished off the Arrival of Oma's Day Saga. Note that I decided to rename "Arc's" into "Saga's" since I felt like that was a more appropriate term after thinking about it. But yeah the Arrival of Oma's Day Saga is currently the longest Saga in Roze.
Also this might be one of the last Rider Time Decade references I have as the identity of the Jester is exactly who you think it is. Either way, thanks to him we're heading to Remnant for both Volume 7 and 8 of RWBY. It'll be a lot heftier than my V6 Redux, that's for certain. As for V9, given it's coming out next year, and I wrote this arc way in advance of that, V9 has no bearing on the plot right now. Figured I'd at least get that out of the way.
Last but not least, I've finally decided to update the cover of Roze from Remnant on FF. Figured it could use a permanent update since I don't plan on switching cover's like I do with Sympho-Saber. Anyway, thanks for reading and I'll see you all next time.
