Although they were arming themselves up for war, they needed to make a statement to everyone on Remnant that war was declared on them and what better way than to destroy the 40th Vytal Festival, held in Vale.
A/N: Now the Reanimated are supposed to be Neutral, they aren't supposed to be picking sides their just there to collect the souls they aren't good and bad, but let's just say that policy changed since Salem made her move and the Shadow Clan as well and for Hecate and Thanatos they despise Humans and Faunus we'll get into them before season 4... I hope.
