Sarah stared at the e-mail that Rabbi Shmuel had sent her not just moments ago. They had been talking for quite some time now and she thought that he was a good choice for her seeing as he was in the same city she was in. He had been a student of her father's and a respected Rabbi at their synagogue and she had fallen for him as soon as he had comforted her about her recurring depression and anxiety. But there was someone else that had her heart as well.

Yussif was a Rabbi in a nearby town. She and her father had visited the synagogue a couple weeks ago and the two had talked extensively about everything under the sun. She had so much in common with him that she couldn't deny they were soulmates, but they lived in two separate towns. And it broke her heart that it could never work out. The way he had looked at her when she left was something she could never forget. Somewhat of a longing look but loving as well. She didn't know how she could live without him and being separated from him was difficult to bear.

But she still thought that she had a chance with Shmuel as well, but judging by the e-mail she was looking at, he was just a Rabbi that was praying for her.

To: Sarah

From: Rabbi Shmuel

Sarah,

I am afraid that I have to leave and go to another town. I have been called to do some special research about false prophecy and I'm afraid I will not be able to help you any further with you're depression. Is there anybody else that could help you? A therapist maybe?

Sincerely,

Rabbi Shmuel

She stared at the screen for another few moments before sighing, placing her head in her hands, fighting back tears. How stupid was she that she could expect any man to love her or even like her for that matter. And the one she really did love was miles away. Or at least that was how it felt. But would Rabbi Yussif really love a 21-year-old girl? And how stupid was she to think that Rabbi Shmuel would think of her as anything but a friend that he was helping. The Psalms of David that he had been reading to her seemed useless to her now as she closed out her e-mail and got into bed, shutting off her light.

She laid there for awhile, simply staring out the window, thinking of Rabbi Yussif. The man she really did love. So why was she so dissapointed and upset about Shmuel? But one of her friends had put it to her this way at lunch the other day. She liked Shmuel. She loved Yussif.

She shook her head and wiped some more tears away as a knock on her door broke her out of her thoughts. The door opened and her father peeked his head around the door, smiling at his daughter.

"May I come in?" he asked gently, earning a nod from his youngest daughter.

Nicodemus smiled and walked into the room now, sitting next to her as he rubbed her back softly. He knew the secret desires of her heart better than anybody in the house. Better than her own sister, so he was excited to share the news he had with Sarah.

"I just got off the phone with Rabbi Yussif and it seems as though he is coming to town to replace Rabbi Shmuel."

Sarah shot up in bed, her temporary heartbreak now forgotten. "Really? You aren't playing a joke on me?"

Nicodemus laughed and shook his head at his daughter. "No darling you aren't being Punk'd."

"How...Well when is he coming?" She didn't have time to ask her father how he knew about all the MTV shows she and her sister used to watch in high school.

"Tomorrow actually and he asked specifically to see you."

"Me? But...I don't understand."

Nicodemus laughed and shook his head. "I know of the thing between you two Sarah. I knew it even before you realized."

Sarah was glad the light was already off in her room, because she could feel her cheeks heating up. Had it been that obvious?

"I didn't know if I would ever see him again" she said honestly as her father took one of her hands, chuckling.

"My dear these things always have a way of working out. You just have to have faith."

Sarah smiled as her father kissed her forehead now, pushing her hair out of her face. "Now get some sleep. We have an early morning tomorrow."

The young girl nodded happily and laid back down as her father covered her with her blanket, kissing her cheek. "Goodnight my little dove."

"Goodnight daddy."

The next day Sarah sat in the car, biting at her nails as her father drove them to the synagogue. She had been to her father's job a million times over the years and all the Rabbis knew her and loved her. But now there was a chance that one loved her more than the rest of them. Nicodemus looked over at his daughter now and gently took her other hand.

"Darling it will be fine. And you really need to repaint you're nails, they're getting attacked there."

Sarah laughed and shook her head. "Yeah it's a bad habit" she said now as she looked over at her father.

She didn't know what to expect when they even got there, but she would worry about that then. But for the rest of the drive, she gazed out the window at all the trees and houses that they passed. She and her family had lived in town for years and nothing ever changed. It was still beautiful in some areas though.

As Nicodemus turned into the parking lot, he spotted some police cars and rolled his eyes. "Oh what now?" he thought as he parked in his usual parking space before turning to Sarah.

"Go inside and find Rabbi Yussif and stay with him until I get inside. Do you understand?"

Sarah nodded, a worried look on her face. The police in town were very corrupt and no one could trust them, so it was a given that her father would give her these orders. "Be safe dad" she said before jumping out of the car and running towards the entrance of her second home.

She slowed down a little as she was safely inside. She raced to her father's office and gazed out the window, trying to see what was happening. She was always worried when things like this happened. Before she knew it she was biting her nails again until a very familiar and welcoming voice spoke behind her.

"Sarah?"

She whirled around now, her hazel eyes locking with Yussif's and before she knew it she had run across the room and right into his arms, holding onto him tightly as she hid her face in his chest. It felt good to be in his comforting arms now after months apart. He held her close now, kissing her forehead before pulling her back a little, gazing back into her eyes.

"I cannot tell you how good it is to finally see you again" he said softly, brushing her hair back away from her face now as he cupped her cheek in his hand. "Sarah I have missed you."

All Sarah's earlier worries melted away as she leaned forward, pressing her lips against Yussif's, wrapping her arms around his neck. It was better than she had ever imagined or dreamed of. "I missed you too" she whispered into his lips before kissing him once more. He smiled against her lips and pulled her closer, running a hand down her back.

"I never thought I would see you again" she said honestly, tears coming to her eyes. Yussif instantly wiped them away and placed his forehead on her's.

"I'm here Sarah. And I am not going anywhere anytime soon."

He led her to his office now and as they passed by Rabbi Shmuel, his and Sarah's eyes met for a moment but she averted her gaze instantly and kept her focus on Yussif who had now wrapped an arm around her shoulders. He kissed her cheek, making her giggle a little now as he smiled against her skin.

They barely just got into his office and their lips were connected again, Sarah laughing against Yussif's lips as he shut the door closed with his shoe. He picked her up now and carried her to the couch, sitting down with her in his lap, still kissing her as one hand went into her hair.

"I've wanted to do this for so long" he whispered against her lips gently as she placed her hands on both sides of his face.

"So have I!" she exclaimed now, kissing his cheek happily before placing her forehead on his, scrunching her nose up playfully, laughing as he kissed her nose.

"You are adorable" he said with that familiar smile on his face that had charmed her from the moment they met.

"And you are completely and utterly handsome" she said happily as she gazed into his eyes now. Those familiar eyes that she had missed for so long.

Yussif kissed her once more as she wrapped her arms around his neck, her eyes slipping closed as she took in everything about him. His familiar scent, his soft lips and the way he held her. Tightly, but not too tightly. He was so gentle with her and she felt like she was on cloud nine.

"I feel like I'm in a fairytale" she whispered softly now once they had broke the kiss.

"Which one?" he asked gently.

Sarah smiled up at him, brushing a stray lock of hair away from his eyes. "Camelot" she said simply.

Yussif grinned and stood up, spinning her around a little, kissing her once more as he set her down on the ground. "Well in that case milady, can I offer you a dance."

"I'd like that" Sarah said as he pulled her into his arms as she found the perfect song on her phone before setting it on the desk and wrapping her arms around his neck once more.

They danced happily, sharing the occasional kiss and nose rub. It was only when he twirled her around did they notice the audience of Rabbis, her father included, standing in the doorway with smiles on their faces. The couple laughed and continued to dance, the echoes of Sarah's favorite song in the background and the crowd of Rabbis never moving as the watched the happy couple.

It would always be Happily Ever After from that point on.
