The beast yelled in agony as the electricity from Jason's javelin jolted her body.
That should take her down. Any second now she'll turn to golden dust.
The Female Titan continued to scream in agony.
Why wasn't she dying?
The electricity subsided. She grabbed the javelin out of her eye with her thumb and finger. It looked like a toothpick in her hand. She threw it away, like it was a minor inconvenience.
Why didn't that affect her? Why isn't she dead! A normal monster would have…
This wasn't a normal monster. With this realization, he tried to run away. But his body couldn't move.
Jason felt dead. It took all the energy in his body to release that much electricity. Why was he so weak? He used to be able to summon storms, now his attacks were little more than electric sparks. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to attack this monster on his own.
He fell to the ground. The beast was reaching for him. He was going to die. Again.
Again?
That's when he heard the pressurized air. Zip lines hitting and zooming all around him. Two figures were flying around the Female Titan.
It was the mortals from earlier. They both had their hoods on, so he couldn't tell who was who. Jason could see both of them holding blades. Where did they get those from? Granted, he had a gold coin that could turn into two different weapons, but these were mortals. Where could they hide their weapons? Why did they even have them in the first place?
They both tried maneuvers that would get them to the base of her neck, however the titan seemed to know that was their target. She covered her weakness with her right hand. One of them was more skilled with whatever equipment they were using. The titan noticed this as well, and swatted the weaker one.
"NO!" Jason yelled, however he could do nothing. That last attack really took everything out of him.
The body slumped thirty feet away from Jason. The hood revealed Armin's face and a bloody head. He reached out for his savior, trying to summon wind to save him or even storm clouds to cover him. The clear day mocked him.
"ARMIN!" The more skilled one yelled. The female Titan was about to swat him like a fly before…
"JEAN! AVENGE THAT SUICIDAL MANIAC!"
The fist stopped mid air, giving time for Jean to escape to a nearby tree.
"HE WAS IN THE RIGHT FLANK! I SAW HER STEP ON MY BEST FRIEND! AVENGE HIM FOR ME, JEAN!"
Suddenly, Reiner, without his hood, tries to attack the titan from the front. Jason, with his hand out reached, feels hope. Reiner seemed like a dependable guy. If anyone could take her out, it would be…
The Female Titan grabs Reiner in her fist and squeezes. Blood spurts everywhere. Jean yells, but Jason can't hear anything. All he can see is the blood on her hands. In the air. A memory resurfaces.
"Get out of here! Go! GO! Remember!"
Apollo leaves. Piper leaves. They're safe!
Shunk.
Jason looked down.
The emperor's spear pierced out of his chest.
Blood spits out of his mouth.
He falls, face first on the deck of the boat.
He feels another thrust of the spear.
Blood covers his face.
How can a human bleed this much?
He closes his eyes.
He finally gets to rest.
"HELP ME! JASON!"
The memory of the girls yell snaps him out of his state.
Reiner escapes the titans hand using his two blades. He grabs Armin and increases his distance from the titan. Jean yells in excitement while grabbing Jason to do the same. The Female Titan runs in the opposite direction.
Jason wants to be relieved that Reiner survived. But he just found out he died, so he responds with silence instead.
