Jason's eyes shot open. His senses hit him like a rocket. Someone was holding his hand, two people were arguing in front of him, and others were dropping all around him. He grabbed his chest. His heart began to ache.

Who was that? The mysterious girl in his dream seemed to be the only thing occupying his thoughts. Where were we? Why were we in an RV on top of a stained glass platform? Who was she? He remembered being there sometime before. In a dream? But the RV wasn't there last time. And she wasn't either… or maybe she was? He couldn't remember.

He wanted to rub his head from the headache he was having, but whoever was holding his hand wouldn't allow it.

He looked to see who was taking his hand hostage. A familiar, beautiful face met his.

Piper Mclean was giving Jason a large smile. Despite her beauty, Jason could tell something was wrong. There were bags under her eyes, her face was pale, and she was breathing heavily. But she kept her large grin.

"I'm so glad you're back." She took a breath. "We can finally go on our date now." He hated to admit the glee he felt at her statement.

The moment she flashes her pretty eyes at you, you go running back to her. The strange girl was right. He wasn't over Piper.

Their break up was sudden. She had brought up their issues. Issues he didn't think they had. But he wanted to give her space. Validate her worries. Maybe over time, he could fix what was wrong, and then they would be back together.

But that never happened.

Whenever she was asked about it, she told people that not everyone was like Percy and Annabeth. Destined to be together. He hated when she said that. There were many couples out there that were nothing like Percy and Annabeth, and yet they stuck together. What was her logic behind that reasoning?

Jason thought Piper selfish at that moment. Not only due to the break up, but the way she insisted they be friends afterwards. She didn't want the commitment, but wanted the boy.

Her grip on his hand tightened, as if sensing his mood. Jason straightened his posture. Despite the resolve, the words came out like syrup.

"I… I can't love you anymore."

Piper Mclean stared at him smiling. Her face was paler than before. He ripped his hand out of her grip and walked away.

He hated every second of it.
