Lincoln dailled his mom's phone number from memory, it was the same phone number they'd had since he was a child. It was comforting, not as comforting as the sound of his mom's voice on the other end of the phone...
" Lincoln...Sweetie"?
Lincoln winced when he looked at the time, it was almost midnight back in Royal woods, and his mom sounded audibly worried.
" Hey mom, I'm sorry. I know it late but I needed someone to talk too"...Lincoln felt like a little kid, so lost and scared. He certainly didn't feel like the nearly twenty three years old, he knew he was.
Lincoln had never heard his mom sound so tired, a sharp pang of guilt hit him hard in the gut. The last few years were particularly hard on the aging Loud parents.
Lori and Bobby's divorce was jut the tip of the ice burg. Leni was living at a care facility for high functioning people with disabilities after leaving her abusive husband, Luna was currently homeless living somewhere in California (probably in a drug den), Luan became a dental hygienist but deep down inside she hated her job.
Lincoln knew she drank sometimes, because Luan would sometimes call him crying late at night. Lincoln was one to talk, if he didn't watch his shot he'd end up in AA real fast.
Lynn Jr and Clyde got married three years ago after they had their daughter Liberty, Lynn was a physical education teacher while Clyde worked as a Librarian.
Lincoln felt awful for adding any extra stress on his mom's shoulders, she had so much going on. Lana was looking for colleges, and Lisa was getting ready to pursue her third degree in robotics, with Lilly getting ready to go into the sixth grade.
The sounds of his mom rustling around, echoed throughout his ears before he heard his mom speak again, " are the girls behaving themselves, I know the trip was last minute but the girls were insistent".
Lincoln leaned back in his bed, " its Ronnie...she's been missing for almost a week now, we made a police report and everything but...I looked at our finances, we're missing nearly fifty thousand dollars as of right now"...
His mom sucked in a sharp gasp, " Oh baby...no".
Lincoln felt his eyes watering, just at the implications, it didn't make sense but Ronnie was the one to sign off on each report. The thought of his wife stealing from him, stung more than anything else.
" I just don't know what to do...I'm scared. I don't know if she's coming back or if something terrible happened. We've been fighting about that damn Cafe since it opened up, now I'm either going to have to refinance my house and sell the Cafe to recover...even then I still might get introuble"...
" This is bad Lincoln, you need to let the police know about the missing money...is their any possibility that she went to stay with Bobby or any of her other family"?
Ronnie Ann's family, scattered to the wind after her grandfather passed. Bad blood over inheritance and missing items insured that Ronnie was only in contact with Bobby, Maria Santiago died almost a year ago after battling with breast cancer.
Lincoln knew that Ronalda helped Carlota out with money, but mostly out of guilt.
" I'm not really sure of where she could be right now, I know she's not with Bobby. As for the others, she's not really close with any of her other family in the area", Lincoln answered.
His mom was quite for a minute, " is there any possibility that she might be with another man"?
Lincoln felt like he'd been punched, that same thought had been floating around his mind since he found the discrepancies...
Ronnie wasn't like that, Or was she?
Lincoln didn't know what to believe anymore.
Downstairs Lola sat across the bed from Lucy with her legs crossed, the blonde was wearing a lovely satin nightgown in a light pink color. Lucy was wearing the same style gown as Lola's, except it was black with lace skulls embroidered on it.
The room was silent except for the quiet back and forth Lincoln and mom were having. The two were listening to the home landline in absolute silence, Lola had to stifle a laugh when mom asked about her and Lucy.
They had half a pizza box on the bed, Lucy held a cheesy slice delicately. Lola smilled affectionately at the goth, her partner in crime so to speak.
Lucy was on edge, due to putting off killing Ronnie Ann. Lola felt bad...but due to the recent set backs Lola knew that they needed to act wisely...
The mexicunt was in the basement, chained up laying in her own filth...sadly she was also still very much alive.
The sound of her mom ending the phone call caught Lola's attention as Lucy hung up the landline." How are we going to go about getting rid of her"?
Lucy's monotone voice had the slightest inflection of irritation. Lola couldn't blame the goth for that, it grated on Lola just knowing they'd have to cheek on the bitch tomorrow night.
In all their planning Lola had always pictured the Latina just disappearing effortlessly. Bobby fucked them over hard by calling the cops so early.
" I'm still thinking"...
Lucy sighed dramatically as she pulled out her cell phone, going into swifty pic and lazily scrolling through pictures. Until one caught her eye and made her stop dead in her tracks.
There was a young Latina woman smiling back at her. She had shoulder legnth hair and light freckles on her cheeks, she looked almost eerily similar to the girl in the basement.
Lucy hated her almost immediately, but she just gave them the out they needed...
Ronnie Ann pulled desperately at the chains around her neck. The skin was raw and the feeling of blood greasing her neck disgusted made Ronnie Ann wanted vomit.
The gag in her mouth was a deadly warning, asphyxiation was very likely.
Her body was covered in dirt and grim and her own filth, Ronnie Ann was being treated almost worst than an animal.
If only there was some way for her to free herself, Ronnie Ann refused to die tied up like an animal.
Falling back against the disgusting mattress, Ronalda felt the pinch of hot tears fill her eyes as she broke down sobbing silently finally giving into her misery. Her body shaking from the severity of her sobs.
Why was this happening to her?
What had she done to deserve something so awful?
She'd see Lincoln's sisters tomorrow night, right on schedule. The dread Ronnie Ann felt e every time Lucy threatened to kill her, was this going to be her last night alive?
Or would it be the next day after that?
Ronnie Ann had no way of knowing and that just terrified her even more, but she knew for that if nothing changed that one of these days they would kill her. That she was certain of...
