Issue 1: An Untimely New Adventure

Manhattan, New York City. Earth, Spider-Man's Dimension (Present Day).

Just an ordinary August day at New York City. The summer sun is shining. Its citizens are enjoying peace. And a certain Daily Bugle photographer enters his boss's office with a small hope of getting paid. "Parker, what do you want?" asked by the blustering bombastic publisher of the Daily Bugle, J Jonah Jameson.

"I have some photos you might want to see. Remember that man that was drained of blood at ESU? Turns out it was Micheal Morbius that did it." Peter Parker said, with the polite high schooler handing the pictures to his boss.

"So, Morbius and Spider-Man were in cahoots all along." Jameson claimed arrogantly, much to his employee's annoyance.

"How can you look at those pictures and say that?" Peter retorted.

"I don't have time for your moral outrage, Parker! I'm trying to run a paper here and make sure my son's wedding to Jenny Waterman doesn't bankrupt me!" Jameson shrugs off his valid complaints.

"Her name is Jennifer Walters." Peter corrected him.

"Right, right!" Jameson again shrugs him off while writing the paycheck, "I'll give you 150 for the lot!"

"300." Peter requested bluntly.

"That's outrageous! Done." Jameson casually conceded to his request. "Give this to the girl. Thank you, bye-bye." He then just tells him to leave his office after handing him his check, which he promptly does.

"Hi." Peter politely greets Betty Brant, Jameson's beautiful secretary that shares a subtle attraction with the photographer.

"Hey Pete." Betty smiles while accepting his check. Her smile disappears upon realizing something about it, "Oh. I don't think this covers the advance I gave you a couple of weeks ago."

Peter sadly sighs, "Oh…right…"

"Hey. Chin up, okay." Betty gestured, giving him a smile that cheers him up slightly.

BGM-Spider-Man 2 (Game) OST-Ballad in the City (Full)

Little time and little appreciation were earned from this job. The perfect opportunity for Peter to switch to his other job once he enters a bathroom with no one inside. He takes off his ordinary clothes revealing a red-and-blue spider costume underneath. As soon as he puts on his mask, the Amazing Spider-Man emerges on the roof of the Bugle. "I can't believe that. Jameson would frame his own mother if he thought it would sell papers." Spider-Man complained, spinning an organic webline from his wrist to help him swing and relax over the peaceful streets of the city, "What did I ever do to Jameson? What could he possibly have against me?"

"Everyone's always jealous of the cool kid in the house." Suddenly running atop rooftops beside the webslinger is Sonic the Hedgehog, the Fastest Thing Alive from Mobius that's been spending his summer vacation here with his dimensional best friend.

"You're the best example, for better or worse." Spidey quipped.

"Always strive to be better than best." Sonic snarked, smiling, "Nice to see ya, Pete."

"You too, Sonic." Spidey responded.

It's been a short while since the two heroes hung out together. Last time it was to save two worlds from being infected by a cybernetic virus. Now Worlds' Finest can spend some time exploring the city, from swinging off streetlights to grinding on local power lines while chatting with each other. "Seriously though, I just wish Jameson would stop badmouthing me. He keeps turning the whole city against me." Spidey complained.

"Then stop working for the guy. Don't you have that W.E.B. thing going on?" Sonic suggested.

"That doesn't start 'til school starts, and it's not like it pays. Sometimes I wonder why I keep wearing this costume if I'm never appreciated for all my hard work. I've been Spider-Man for a few years now. You think people would take a hint already." Spidey voiced his issues with the city's constant mistrust over his heroics.

Sonic replies with, "You know as well as I do we do this hero thing cuz it's right, not to become famous. Remember, 'With great power comes-.'"

"I know, I know, no need to remind me!" Spidey cuts him off from finishing his own famous motto.

"Then stop worrying what people say 'bout you. It's in the past. Forget about it. Don't let it slow you down from doing your best." Sonic advised his spider-friend.

"But the past is what makes us who we are. Makes us strong to tackle the challenges ahead of us. You know the old saying, 'Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it'." Spidey argued.

"Ya kidding? History is a series of stepping stones for us to run over to a better adventure." Sonic claimed.

"Come on, Sonic, even you have to see value in where you've come from." Spidey commented.

"I'm like the wind. Always on the move for something new and exciting. Be nostalgic all you want. I won't tease you much." Sonic snarked.

Amidst the running and swinging, Peter's cell phone rings. He sees that it's his other Mobian friend, Tails the Fox, calling him and prompting him to answer it, "Hello?"

'Hey Pete! Where are you? Are you with Sonic?' Tails asked.

"Yeah, he's with me. I just swung out of the Bugle." Peter responded, stopping on a rooftop with Sonic so both can hear what the fox has to tell them.

'Perfect! Can you two meet me in Central Park right away? I have something super important to show you! You don't need to be in costume for this!' Tails requested, sounding suspiciously happy.

"Uh, sure. We'll be right there." Spidey accepted his request, albeit awkwardly. He then ends the call, turning to hedgehog asking, "Know what that was about?", who just responds with an oblivious shrug.

Later at Central Park…

A rather curious company is preparing what seems to be a big party near a lake. It is the friends of Sonic and Peter that are readying the festivities. Friends from Earth like: Aunt May, Mary Jane Watson, Harry Osborn, Felicia Hardy, María Aracely Penalba, Steve Rogers, and the Fantastic Four. Friends from Mobius like: Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat, Cream the Rabbit, Cheese the Chao, Blaze the Cat, and The Chaotix. As well as the many friends they have made from across dimensions such as: Teams RWBY and JNPR and Penny Polendina of Remnant. Lucina, Tiki, Robin, and Lissa of Ylisse. Pit and Palutena of Skyworld. And Mega Man X and Ling Xiaoyu from the Capcom Earth.

Just as the friends are done with preparations, Tails comes in running and panting, "They'll be here any second!"

Arriving soon after is Sonic and Peter, the latter in his civilian clothes as requested. "Hey guys, what's going on? You having a party or something?" Sonic asked them.

"A party for who?" Peter wondered.

"SURPRISE!" Their Friends shouted, happily firing party poppers and revealing two cakes that either sport a spider-emblem or Sonic's face.

"Oooooooh." Peter uttered, sharing a shocked face with Sonic as they both realize they're throwing a surprise birthday party for them.

"Look at your face. You actually didn't know it was your birthday today." Aunt May teases her nephew whilst touching his cheek.

"That would entail me knowing what day it was, Aunt May." Peter quipped.

"You being so forgetful made planning this surprise all too easy!" Harry teased, shaking hands with his best friend.

"Happy birthday, Peter!" Mary Jane smiled, hugging her ex-boyfriend.

"Why is my face on the cake? My birthday was back in June." Sonic noticed his own themed cake.

"And we decided to celebrate yours and Peter's on the same day." Amy told her love interest.

"Felt appropriate. Your first teamup with Spider-Man inspired the Dimensional Avengers Initiative." Steve Rogers smiled at his fellow freedom fighter.

"Throwing a multiversal birthday party was our best idea ever!" Nora grinned ecstatically.

"Awwww, you guys." Sonic beamed, forever happy to have made great friends like them.

Claps from Susan Storm means it's time to party. Everyone is having a wonderful time enjoying the various funs to celebrate this multiversal birthday. Hugs from cute girls are given to the birthday boys. Friends from different worlds cheer with chili dogs. Vector and Ben Grimm engage in a chili dog eating contest, much to the annoyance of both Espio and Ren. Blaze is encouraged to relax by her dimensional friends. This's truly the best time.

"Not to sound ungrateful, but are sure it was a good idea inviting this many people? Half of them don't know my secret." Peter conversed with Robin, expressing his concerns about some of them realizing his secret identity.

"To them, being Spider-Man's photographer is a big enough association." Robin replied.

"Petey Poo!" Yang happily calls out her ex-boyfriend while running to him.

"Please stop calling me that." Peter snarked.

"Open my present! You're gonna love it!" Yang smiled, handing him his first birthday present.

Peter opens his gift and takes out a silver necklace resembling an atom particle. "A necklace?" He commented.

"It's a good luck charm made from the best science ever. Hear it saved countless lives of those cursed with the worst family luck ever. At least that's what the store clerk said." Yang said, claiming this charm will help him handle his Parker Luck.

Grateful for such a wonderful gift, Peter puts on the charm necklace. "It's perfect. Thank you." He smiled sincerely, warming his ex's heart as she can't help herself from blushing and smiling back.

"Open mine next, open mine next!" The overly happy Pit calls out to the photographer to open his present next.

"Sal and the others aren't here?" Sonic asked Tails in the meantime about the remaining Freedom Fighters.

"They will be, just running late. Y'know, it's kind of impossible to surprise you." Tails replied.

"No way, man! You totally got me this time. I had no idea." Sonic smiled.

"Yeah, right. Happy birthday, Sonic! Hope you like this." Tails gets him a plate with a chili dog wrapped in a bow. Though in a blink of an eye, his best friend snatches and takes a bite out of his present.

"Like it? I love it!" Sonic retorted, giving his little buddy a thumbs-up of gratefulness.

Everyone keeps on partying and would love to keep it up until the end of the day. Alas, all good things must come to an abrupt end when you're a superhero as something triggers both Peter's Spider-Sense and his curiosity. All of a sudden, a rift in spacetime emerges in the sky and produces a shockwave that was quickly noticed by Sonic. "Woah!" He exclaimed, as everything from the table, including his chili dog, is blown away.

Sonic realizes his chili dog is gone and searches for it in a humorous fashion while Peter hurries to a hiding place to switch outfits. Tails, however, is more concerned about what just surprised them. "Sonic! What's that?!" He pointed out.

The sky darkens as the latest monster of the week that wants to cause trouble emerges from its portal. The Shadowy Eater of Worlds that just got done eating a future world. People from all over Central Park are already running away in a panic just as Peter returns in his Spider-Man costume and Sonic gets over his disappointment from losing his chili dog. "What's it doing?" Tails wonders what this creature is and what it wants.

"RRROOOOOOOOAR!" The Shadow Monster roars while producing more spacetime portals that is targeting the birthday picnic for one nefarious purpose. Friends of Sonic and Spider-Man are being sucked in to a portal one by one, no matter their best efforts to save themselves.

"GUYS!" Spider-Man shouted in horrific concern.

"Hey! Not cool!" Not happy with this, Sonic joins the webhead in trying to attack the monster, only for it to knock them down with ease.

"SONIC! SPIDEY!" Ruby shouted before it was her turn to get sucked in.

More of their friends continue to be swallowed by the darkness, from their Remnant pals to their Skyworld buddies. Just Tails and MJ remain, but even they can't hang on forever. "Spider-Man! Spider-Man! HELP!" MJ shouted, before she and the fox lose their grip on the table.

"SONIIIIIIIIIIC!" Tails screamed before they are sucked into their own portals, leaving their unconscious heroes behind as everything turns white around them.

Sonic and Spider-Man lay together unconsciously on what seems to be a street of Manhattan. It took a while for them to regain their senses, with Sonic being the first to awaken and groan, "Ugh…Where am I? Where's Tails?" The hedgehog then notices his friend getting up beside him, "Pete? You okay?"

"Yeah…" Spider-Man groans, "Some birthday…" Once he's back on his feet, he takes immediate notice of themselves in a colorless Manhattan trapped in this White Space, "MJ! Harry! Aunt May! Where is everybody? What happened to New York? Looks like something drained the color out of it."

The duo begins looking around for answers on where they are and what has become of their friends. They start with Central Park where this whole mess started, walking past countless people that are now colorless statues. "Everyone's petrified. Even the birds. Are they alive?" Sonic asked.

Spidey takes a moment to inspect a white statue using his fancy hi-tech lenses. "Looks like. This isn't like Grey Gargoyle's power. They're not transmutated. More like trapped in some kind of limbo." He studied.

"Look!" Suddenly, a shocked Sonic finds a small group of their friends consisting of Aunt May, Tails, Xiaoyu, and Jaune. All four of them stuck in a colorless state as well.

"May! Tails, Xiao, and Jaune!" The distressed Peter rushes to his aunt's side, "They're statues too! How are we gonna save them?"

"Dunno, but we'll get to the bottom of this." Sonic assured his friend. But then he notices something more intriguing nearby, "Hm? What's that?"

Peter looks in his direction and sees a colorless portion of Green Hill fused to Central Park, with a portal that will lead to said Zone. "I…have no idea. Maybe the gang bought me a bouncy house for my birthday?" He joked.

"That seems kinda familiar." Sonic commented, feeling oddly nostalgic about this Zone. "Time to go take a look!" He runs to jump through the portal, with Spidey following suit seconds after so they may investigate together.

Green Hill Zone.

BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Green Hill: Act 2 ~ Normal

The spacetime portal appears in this beautiful natural landscape that rockets out both Sonic and Spider-Man. The Webslinger is already swinging over the land beside the confused Blue Blur racing through it exclaiming, "What the…?", at this lovely yet oddly familiar area.

"Oh this place is much livelier! Like the green. Lots of hills. Doesn't look like it's from Earth. More like from your world." Spider-Man quipped about this Zone.

"It does, doesn't it?" Sonic remarked, getting a sense of déjà vu about this place while running through a loop. He quickly runs into Motobug Badniks, causing him to shout, "Especially these guys!", and jump over one trying to slice him. "Badniks! Which could only mean Eggman's behind this!" He claims while obliterating the robots, freeing the animals that were trapped inside.

"I dunno. Have you seen these Inner Demons?" Spidey snarked, suddenly finding himself surrounded by Chinese thugs wearing demonic masks.

Sonic tries retorting, "Inner what-?", but is immediately cut off by an Inner Demon's electrified whip that knocks him back. "Quick history lesson." The annoyed hedgehog requested.

"Just your typical thugs that love causing a ruckus 'til yours truly kicks 'em where the sun don't shine." Spidey described, countering the crook's electrified weaponry with amazing reflexes and spectacular blows across the face, "They're Chinese and have weird regen powers."

"Badniks and crooks shouldn't mix in this Zone. Looks like we got ourselves into another dimensional disaster." Sonic noted, kicking a Motobug onto an Inner Demon.

"I've noticed we've been saying that a lot whenever the multiverse is in danger." Spidey realized, web-throwing a thug toward his teammate.

"If the shoe fits." quipped Sonic, stomping the Demon onto a Badnik in order to clear a pathway for themselves to continue their adventure through Green Hill.

This rolling hilltop is busy with large loops and gorgeous mountain waterfalls pouring into a dazzling clear sea that the dimensional duo race past. Though his mind struggles to remember this place, Sonic's heart feels right at home as he's zooming through all sorts of grass-covered paths with a joyous smile. He's bouncing all over the place, sliding under cracks before hitching a ride on a Newtron Badnik. Spider-Man knows nothing about this Zone nor does he care. He's too busy having a blast grinding rails before web-zipping over Choppers leaping from below a bridge. One Chopper does get webbed and thrown at a brutish Inner Demon, who catches it looking all types of confused before both foes are Boosted through by Sonic. That little stunt topples a giant totem pole and threatens to collapse atop the heroes. Startled, the frantic duo run, pushing themselves to the limit until they just barely managed to outrun it.

"Where are we going again?" Sonic asked his partner amid their run.

"Why are you asking me?" Spidey snarked.

"You're the team leader."

"And this is your territory."

"Place does feel like home…"

"Look, that big monster is behind this. We just need to find clues on where it is, beat it up, and hope everything will return to normal." Spidey suggested.

"Sounds simple enough." Sonic complied.

Soon, Sonic and Spidey find a suspicious capsule in a fenced grassland surrounded by flowers. "A Prison Egg. Some poor animals must be trapped in there." Sonic noted, walking up to check if he can free them from their imprisonment.

"You're gonna look really stupid if it's a bomb." Spidey snarked.

"Then you do the honors, Mr. Spider-Sense." Sonic smirked, gesturing the arachnid to free the animals himself.

"If you insist." Spidey accepts and approaches the capsule. And as he does, something dangerous triggers that tingle. "Tol'ja it's a bomb." He joked.

BGM-Spider-Man: Web of Shadows OST-Symbiote Boss

But before anyone can react, a canine-like Creature of Grimm pounces on Spider-Man and bites onto his arm so it may fling him around the area. "Nevermind! This one look interested in wanting to use me as a chew toy!" Spidey jokes, trying to kick away the demon that just bites it.

This Hound continues to mercilessly body Peter until Sonic comes to his aid with a high-speed kick that knocks it away. "Never seen a Grimm like this before. Must be the one guarding the capsule. Let's hurry and take it out!" Sonic said while confronting the monster mutt.

Sonic launches a Spin Dash that the Hound dodges yet still succumbs to Spidey web-throwing it onto a totem pole. Suspiciously, the beast acts smart enough to reorient itself in midair in order to bounce off the totem pole and pin Peter to the ground using all four powerful limbs. "Get off me, you mangy mutt! You're gonna miss out on your Scooby Snack!" quipped Peter, managing to resist its strength enough to web-pull the nearest boulder onto its head, stunning it so he may punch it off his body and allow Sonic to body it with an incredible flurry of attacks that barely damage the durable creature.

"This Hound's pretty tough. What has Salem been feeding it?" Sonic wondered, right before being tackled across the arena by the Hound.

"We're gonna have to hit it with something harder! Let's pair up!" Stylishly, Spidey webs the flung hedgehog into a spinballing state for his fist to wear as a boxing glove and dashes at the Hound with speeds it didn't see coming. "Sonic Spider Sting!" He shouts, combining his spider-strength with Sonic speed to unleash one tremendous uppercut that sends the Grimm flying high into the sky. But they weren't done yet, as Spidey quickly catches up to the dog to quip, "Don't forget the Sonic Spider Bite! Chew on THIS!", and slam his foe to the nearest large lake with the impactful force to cause a massive splash.

"So long! Wouldn't care if you forgot your swimming lessons!" Sonic snarks at the defeated Hound that is now swimming with the fishes.

"Now…What do you suppose it has stashed in this thing?" The curious Spidey looks back at the capsule and watches Sonic kick its hatch open, setting off a blow that does let every animal inside free, "GAK! Knew this thing would explode!"

Sonic looks inside from up top to see if everyone got out safely. Everyone but one person is still inside, and once it is their turn to exit, the hedgehog is shocked, "What the…I recognize that adorable face from anywhere."

"Hello!" smiled Ruby. A younger and more adorable Ruby Rose that looks like she hasn't reached 10-years-old yet.

"Ruby?! What were you doing in there? A-And why did you shrink?" Spidey retorted in shock upon greeting this Kid Ruby.

"Huh? How do you know my name?" Kid Ruby asked, confused while exiting the capsule.

"Because we're your best friends. Don't you remember us? Sonic the Hedgehog? Peter Parker/Spider-Man?" Sonic asked, trying in vain to jog her memory.

"Nuh-uh." Kid Ruby shook her adorable head, "Last thing I remember was some big monster attacking my home. My sister tried to save me, but then she…she disappeared…Then I disappeared! Then that Grimm dog put me in that capsule…"

The little girl starts crying from recalling that traumatic experience, prompting Sonic to be gentle and comfort her, "Easy, easy. No need to cry. You're safe now, and I'm sure your sister is too." He then turns to Peter saying, "Don't think this is the Ruby we know and love."

"Obviously." Spidey snarked. "She's probably from a parallel dimension. Why did this kid get special treatment while everyone else became statues?" He wondered curiously.

"Maybe she was lucky like us." Sonic guessed.

"Maybe…" Spidey remarked unsurely, getting the sense there is more to their situation than meets the eye. "Don't worry, kid. We'll find your sister and get you back home safe and sound. That's a promise." He then said to Kid Ruby, kneeing before her to be soft with her.

"You will?" Kid Ruby sniffed.

"Pinky swear." Spidey gestured, which is enough to dry the girl's tears as she happily accepts his promise.

"Feeling better?" Sonic smiled at the kid.

"Yeah! Are you two superheroes?" Kid Ruby asked them.

"The best of the best! I'm Spider-Man and this is my trusty sidekick, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Spidey properly introduced themselves.

"Don't push it, Webhead." Sonic snarked.

"Cool! My name is Ruby Rose!" Ruby grinned.

"Nice to meet you, Ruby. Lemme give you a piggyback ride." Peter does just that, having the kid girl ride his sticky back to safely escort her. "You ready?" He asked her.

"Yeah!" Ruby gestured excitedly.

"Okay. Let's swing you to some fun!" said Spidey, joining Sonic as the three explore the rest of Green Hill together.

Unbeknownst to the heroes, the mutt they just put down is far from dead. The Hound crawls out of the lake all wet and furious, growling at the trio that is fleeing from its senses. Its origins remain a mystery, but its motives do seem to involve the destruction of all heroes and huntsmen that dare to get in the way of its master.

Meanwhile in White Space…

Another colored character lays unconscious in Manhattan. It's the Spider-Man from the Year 2099, groaning as he awakens in this unfamiliar realm wondering, "…Where am I?" He stands up to glance at himself as well as his colorless surroundings, "I'm still in one piece. Good. Wish I can say the same for the rest of the city. This isn't Nueva York. Looks like I ended up in Downtown. It certainly seen better days."

The Future Spider swings around for a bit to study this environment, eventually landing atop a skyscraper to have a good view of this dead dimension. "Whole city is lifeless. There's nothing making a sound. Lyla! Are you there?" He asked.

BGM-Sonic Battle OST-Emerl's Theme

In response, a hologram version of the beautiful Marilyn Monroe is projected from his suit to hang out with her master for a while. "I'm here, Miguel. Were you feeling lonely?" teased Lyla, his A.I. assistant from the 22nd century.

"Not with the wind keeping me company." Miguel O'Hara snarked, "Can you scan the area? Tell me what this place is. What happened to that thing that attacked the city?"

"That 'thing' is currently not here, but there appears to be a connection. I'm still early in my research, but from what I can tell, this is a broken space between dimensions that is holding multiple universes together." Lyla scanned, informing him of her current findings.

"Wonderful. There any exits?" Miguel asked.

"Only gateways to unknown and other lifeless spacetimes. I have no idea how to restore them or Nueva York." Lyla frowned.

"This is a fine mess we got ourselves into. No use complaining. You say that monster is linked to this place. Finding it in one of those spacetimes may be the key in getting us home." Miguel suggested.

But just as he plans to follow through with his plan, Miguel is left bewildered when his Accelerated Vision barely catches the sight of a mysterious blue streak speeding on the streets at the speed of sound, "Shock! Did you see that?"

"See what?" The confused Lyla retorted.

"See what moved faster than your sensors! It looked like a Blue Blur! Maybe it can give us some answers on what's going on." Miguel decided, web-swinging after the Blue Blur in hopes of learning the secrets of White Space.

What he doesn't know yet that the Blue Blur is really Sonic the Hedgehog. The classic counterpart of the Legendary Speedster that too just awoken in this strange dimension and is trying to find answers. "How did I go from Green Hill to this White City Zone? This isn't the adventure I was looking for." Classic Sonic wondered. "Forget 'bout that for now. I need to find Tails. He was waiting for me in Green Hill when that monster showed up. Hope little bro's okay." He muttered worriedly for his sidekick, continuing his run through Manhattan while secretly being followed by Miguel.

Back at Green Hill Zone…

BGM-Sonic Generations OST-Green Hill: Act 2 ~ Fast

"THIS IS SUPER AWESOME!" Kid Ruby screamed through absolute joy while holding onto Amazing Spider-Man's back, while he and Modern Sonic speed off a jump panel that leads them into a cave flooded with water. They race each other on grind rails and were having the time of their lives until a Giant Chopper Badnik emerges from the water behind them.

"Big fish!" Amazing Spider-Man shouted, noticing the Super Badnik destroying the rails behind them in its murderous pursuit of them.

"Blake would love this for dinner!" Modern Sonic joked.

"She's never been a fan of metal tuna!" Peter quipped.

"Who's Blake?" Kid Ruby asked innocently.

"You'll meet her when you're older assuming we survive this!" Spidey quips again as the Giant Chopper nears them. Eventually, their grind rail writhes up through an opening in the cave's ceiling. The trio jumps off at the top while the Giant Chopper jumps after them, but Sonic and Spidey are too busy performing stylish aerial tricks to be scared before landing on solid ground and the Super Badnik falls back into the water with an empty stomach.

"Nailed it!" Sonic posed.

"Let's go again, let's go again!" Ruby retorted excitedly.

"You're an excitable little bunion of joy. Haven't been on any adventures, have ya?" Sonic asked while the group continues their run.

"Nope. That's why my sister wants to become a huntress. I want to become one to help people like in the fairy tales." Ruby told them something they already know because of their friendship with their older counterparts.

"You're in luck. You'll be our intern in how to save an entire city. If only we knew where that monster that kidnapped us is…" Spidey responded.

"Maybe we can ask them." Ruby points out something, or someone, suspicious up ahead.

BGM-Spider-Man: Friend or Foe OST- The Rooftops ~Battle A~

The heroes are forced to stop at a wide arena where an intimidating Inner Demon horde blocks their path. "More Demons! They're not gonna help!" Sonic scowled, striking a fighting stance.

But these Demons are the least of their problems. A gang is a gang when it has a boss leading their goons. And it just so happens their crime boss decided to make an appearance atop the nearest platform and introduce themselves to the heroes with a distorted voice, "It's about time you showed up, Wallcrawler!"

Spider-Man then spots the Inner Demon leader, appearing as a Chinese man in a suit and looking very black and white. Very photographic negative and a supervillain that has clashed with the webhead several times in the past. "Mister Negative!" He revealed his name in slight shock.

"Is he the bad guy?" Kid Ruby cluelessly wondered.

"The leader of the Demons, I figure." Sonic deduced.

"Pretty smart for a rat." Mister Negative taunted.

"I'm a hedgehog, you monochromatic creep!" Sonic retorted angrily.

After jumping off the platform to stand before his men, Negative is asked by Spidey, "What's going on here, Nega? How are you and your boys not statues like everyone else?"

"The strong survive and the weak dies. You children should be smart to know when your time is up." Negative answered vaguely.

"Well I'm a big fan of, 'Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it'. You've lost to me how many times? Seems you're just begging for a repeated bruising." Spidey quipped.

"History is about to be remade. Killing you and the hedgehog is the key to opening that door." retorted Negative, threatening to kill them with his guandao energized with Darkforce energy.

BGM-Spider-Man 2 (Game) OST-Hung Like a Spider

Mister Negative starts off the big fight with a blast of darkness that prompts the Dimensional Avengers to flee. He keeps blasting as the heroes keep dodging until Sonic launches a quick Spin Dash that knocks down the crimelord while Spider-Man hides Kid Ruby behind a totem pole. "Stay here. We'll finish this quickly." He tasked her before swinging back to the fight. Inner Demons do what they can to keep the spider at bay but he keeps dodging their attacks perfectly, binding them with webbing in time for him to web apart a chunk of the ground to flail at the horde. "I'll clear out the thugs! You keep Nega busy!" Spidey ordered his teammate.

"Won't be a problem!" Sonic quipped amidst his clash with Negative.

The Speed Demon uses his quickness to counter the crimelord's dark attacks, sliding under a swing of his guandao that swiftly leads to a Spin Attack that is barely deflected. Their match is even until Negative combines light and dark energy to create a vortex that entraps Sonic and makes it easier to knock him back before supercharging a devastating blast that really hurts the hedgehog. "The forces of light and darkness are mine to command as is Chinatown's underworld. Soon I'll be New York's only Kingpin of Crime." Negative grinned, preparing to impale the downed hero.

"Not like there's anything at New York to rule right now." snarked Sonic, swiftly rolling away from his stab to Spin Dash him into a Homing Attack assault.

"That'll soon change once you're dead!" Negative retorted, unleashing a burst of Darkforce that disrupts the hedgehog's combo.

While all this is happening, Kid Ruby peeks her adorable head out of her hiding spot. Only on TV have she seen fighting this amazing before. It's like a comic book come to life. The battle is too realistic as she's spotted by a Demon that wants to take her hostage. "HELP!" Ruby shouted while fleeing from the thug.

"Ruby!" The concerned Spidey heard her and struggles to come to her aid as more Demons keep him occupied.

Ruby runs as fast and far as her little feet are able until she runs into a Motobug that was just minding its own business. Startled, the little girl runs the opposite direction away from the Badnik, until she is stopped by her Demon pursuer. "Nowhere to run, kid." The Demon threatened her. The Demon is in front of her and the Badnik is rushing at her from behind. It looks like Ruby will be captured and sure enough she was, but not by the Demon. Sonic rescued her at the last second, leading to the Motobug into crashing into the Demon.

"You okay?" Sonic smiled at the kid in his arms.

"Yeah." Ruby retorted, smiling after realizing he rescued her.

"Nice save, Blue!" Spidey said whilst ensnaring the remaining Demons into one large web ball that he jumps to slam Negative with. The Chinese Crimelord recovers in a fast fury as he finds himself confronted by both the Spider and the Hedgehog. "Give it up, Nega. You can't beat the both of us." Spidey taunted his foe.

"We'll see about that!" Negative retorted upon firing a relentless energy barrage at the evasive duo that are rushing to finish him once and for all.

"My you're aggro. You need to be more Mister Positive." snarked Sonic, counter his deadly slash with a quick strike before being blasted by light energy.

"Order some Chinese food. Read some fortune cookies that'll predict your life won't suck. That'll make you happy." taunted Spidey, evading enough of his lethal strikes in order to knock back his enemy with a strong uppercut.

Negative is on his last legs so he unleashes a furious quake of dark energy that knocks both heroes into the air. Spidey web-throws his buddy back at the villain, who deflects him aside right as Spidey vaults over and snatches his guandao. Defenseless, the crimelord is then bombarded by Sonic's Spin Attacks from all angles before he is pushed into Spidey's Crawler Assault that quickly kicks him back. This fight is over because as soon as Spidey prepares a Web Strike in his front and Sonic charges a Spin Dash behind his back, both then launched simultaneously, Negative is knocked out cold in the most stylish way that amazes the spectating Ruby.

"Amazing…" Kid Ruby smiled in awe.

BGM End

Mister Negative lies defeated alongside his Inner Demons. The Dimensional Avengers stand victorious as Sonic exclaims, "Both the light and dark can't trump our teamwork!", while sharing a victory pose with Spider-Man.

Then something strange occurs. A golden key with a roman numeral float out of Negative's body, much to the shock of all three heroes. "What the?! A key? Why did it come out of him?" Spidey questioned.

And after the Webhead grabs the mysterious key, the Inner Demons begin to vanish. Disappearing completely from this spacetime. "All the bad guys are disappearing!" Kid Ruby noted.

"Strange. Was hoping to interrogate them for answers. Just what is going on?" Spidey wondered, feeling lost and very confused.

The one thing that does somewhat make sense is a portal that appears and looks linked to White Space. "Looks like it's time to head back to the city. We'll take a break there." Sonic suggested, "Come along, Ruby."

"Okay!" Kid Ruby complied, running to the heroes' side.

"You were very brave today, Ruby. Keep that up and you'll be a true hero in no time." Spidey complimented the little girl for her performance in this timespace.

That compliment from a real hero really brightens up Ruby's adorable face as she retorts, "Really? Then I won't let you down!"

"I know you won't." Spidey chuckled, holding her hand as the trio walk through the portal together.

Central Park, Manhattan. White Space.

Team Amazing return to the Green Hill Gateway in Central Park, still painted colorless as the rest of the city. "Is this your home? Why is everything white?" Kid Ruby asked innocently.

"We're trying to figure that out." Amazing Spider-Man responded.

"On the bright side, you won't hear people hatin' on you." Modern Sonic quipped.

But mere seconds after returning to the city, a timeless surprise hits them. Sonic is the first to sense a change in the Green Hill Gateway and notice it regaining all of its color. "Whoa guys, check this out." He calls them out.

The other two sees the gateway is restored, but that's just the start. The grass underneath their feet is regaining its luscious green. Then the trees. Bridges. New Yorkers and everything else in Central Park are being restored to life seamlessly. Civilians and heroes alike are left amazed by this mysterious phenomenon, with Sonic stating, "Central Park, the people, they're all coming back to life!"

"But how?" Spidey wondered.

But then it hits him. If Central Park is restored along with the people, then this means his three friends that were with Aunt May have also returned to life. Sure enough, a quick glance at their area reveals her along with Tails, Jaune, and Xiaoyu returning to normal after being statues for what felt like an eternity.

"May!" Peter shouted.

"Tails!" Sonic also shouted.

Both heroes rush to embrace their loved ones with a strong hug, with May smiling, "Peter! Thank goodness you're okay!"

"I should be the one telling you that!" Peter quipped, deeply happy to be reunited with his aunt and friends.

"Never been to a birthday party this weird before." Xiaoyu groaned, rubbing the back of her aching head.

"Tell me about it…" Jaune sympathized.

"Hello!" Kid Ruby suddenly greets the two with a friendly wave that does nothing to alleviate their confusion.

"Wha-? Ruby?! What happened to you?! You were never this small!" Jaune expressed his utter bewilderment at his friend's younger counterpart.

"Hey don't make fun of me. I'm still growing." Kid Ruby puffed her cheeks in annoyance at his unintentional mocking.

"Yeah, Jaune. Be nice to this adorable little rosebud." Xiaoyu teased, instantly finding this little Ruby cute enough to rub cheeks with.

"I-I didn't mean it like that!" Jaune retorted embarrassedly.

"Thanks, guys! We thought we were dead for sure! Floating without bodies in a black limbo!" Tails shivers at his rescuers, "I'm going to have nightmares for weeks."

"Well, we're glad you all are okay. Is it just me, or does that place seem awfully familiar?" Sonic responded, gesturing everyone to the Green Hill Gateway.

Tails takes a closer inspection of the gateway while remarking, "Hm…Not really to me…But it looked like something sucked all the life and color out of the whole city. Totally strange."

"No stranger than rescuing genies in magic books, or saving aliens in an interstellar amusement park. I'm more concerned about finding our friends." Sonic expressed.

"We also need to figure out what this place is if we want to return the city back to Earth." Spidey added. "Sonic and I will investigate. The rest of you keep the people here safe. Right now Central Park is the only safe haven." He tasked his friends.

"Got it. Good luck, you two." Jaune nodded sternly.

"Hold the fort for us, Rubes! We'll be back soon!" Sonic encouraged his little friend before racing out of Central Park with Peter.

"Bye!" Kid Ruby waves them a cheerily goodbye.

As their friends watch them leave, Classic Sonic stops by to greet Tails. "There you are! Whatcha lookin' at?" He waves at him, mistaking this Tails for the one from his timeline.

"Wow! You weren't kidding when you said soon! I thought you already left!" Tails retorted, taken aback while also mistaking this Sonic for his own.

"I did? Well if you say so. I'll be back soon!" Classic Sonic nodded before running off to further investigate White Space.

"Hmm…Is it me, or did he put on some weight in the last second?" Xiaoyu noticed something different about that Sonic, but she and her friends just shrug it off to focus on keeping the park safe.

BGM-Sonic Generations OST- Collection Room (File Select)

KFX Here: Took a little longer than expected, but the first chapter of this remake is complete. As you've just read, The Hound from RWBY Volume 8 is here as one of the main antagonists alongside Time Eater. It will serve as Team RWBY's problem later. Also, unlike the original story, the heroes won't be traveling to different locales beyond the Sonic stages. Things are more simplified this time and structured like a Classic Sonic game. At the end of every Zone, the heroes will fight a different Spider-Man villain. Manhattan serves as the "main hub" so to speak. This story is only going to get more interesting.
