A/N: Yes, this story really is finished. A fact of which I'm feeling a bit confused about. I just realized that I posted the first chapter four years ago! o.O Granted I was at school for three of them, but still, I never thought that this would end up being this long of a project. Or that so many people liked reading this. It makes me happy ^_^

So, here is the short epilogue. Didn't take long, it just appeared in my head and flowed into words. I sort of like this one, makes me feel like the circle has closed or something... And I'll probably end up writing a sequel as well as the possible prequel even though I was so sure that I wouldn't. I blame all of you for that, by the way ;) Now, if only I could decide which to write first, or to clear out all those hazy details.

But, anyways. The epilogue. I hope you'll like it :)

Epilogue

"Are you sure you wish to come with me, Gus?" Rella asked the pudgy mouse on her hand four days later. The sun was shining brightly and there was a strong wind rushing through the harbor. "All of your friends will be left here."

The brave mouse shook his head. "Not all. Cinderelly with me."

Rella laughed a little and nodded. "Very well then."

Gus proceeded to climb up along her arm and upon reaching her shoulder, made himself comfortable in the folds of her scarf. Rella turned her attention to the Royal carriages approaching them on the cobblestoned street. All of their luggage had already been loaded to the ship and they were in the process of giving their goodbyes. The ambassador they had already said goodbye to at the Embassy.

The carriages came to a stop not too far from them and Prince Charles, Anastasia and their children stepped out. Rella smiled happily at seeing the children. She had grown very fond of them during their stay (she knew that Falad liked them as well). The children all ran towards them and Rella crouched low and hugged each of them.

"Do you have to go?" Elaiza asked morosely.

Rella smiled. "Yes, I do. I'm going to have baby soon, so I need to get home."

The children's eyes widened, except that of Richard's since he was quite small yet and probably didn't understand Rella's words.

"Is it going to be a boy?" Leopold asked interestedly.

"I don't know yet", Rella answered and the little prince huffed annoyed causing Rella and Falad to laugh. Rella straightened as the Prince and Anastasia came upon them. The men shook hands and the ladies hugged staying long in their embrace. Anastasia sighed.

"I'm going to miss you", she said.

"And I you", Rella answered.

"Do keep us updated with how the search for Lady Tremaine goes", Falad said and the Prince nodded.

"Of course, though, I doubt there's going to be much progress in awhile."

The men exchanged a few words still until Falad said his goodbyes to Anastasia as well and boarded the ship giving Rella some privacy with the Royal couple. The Prince smiled and took her hand placing a kiss on top of it.

"I'm sure we were happy the first time around, Lady Rella, but I believe we are happy now as well. I will be glad to be your friend."

Rella smiled. "And I will be glad to be yours. It appears there are more than one possibility for true love and we have both managed to find our own right ones."

The Prince nodded smiling and with the children in tow, moved towards the carriage.

Anastasia let out a slightly distressed sound and took a hold of her hands. "Now that the time has come, I really don't want to let you go!"

"And I find it difficult to leave", Rella said and squeezed Anastasia's hands in response. "But I must. Or else I will miss my ship and Falad will be most grumpy. I couldn't do that to the crew of that ship."

Anastasia let out a laugh and gave her one last hug and mock glared at her. "And remember to write."

Rella nodded and turned to walk to the ship. Anastasia went to stand by the carriage, but didn't go in, optioning to stay outside to watch the ship leave instead. Rella did the same in the ship, staying on the deck and watching the harbor growing smaller and smaller by the minute.

Rella smiled. She felt light, as if something heavy had left her. It was difficult to leave, once again, but it was nowhere near like the last time she had had to. Now, she knew she could come back and visit without a worry, if she chose so. Now, she had friends and family back there she could and would keep in touch. She knew she was going to miss her friends and Anastasia, but she was eager to get home. During her time living in Dherr'eshaan, she had learned to love the southern country and Falad had shown her its beauty when they had been courting. She wanted to get home with Falad where they would wait for their baby to be born. And she did have Gus, who had insisted on coming with her. She would need to introduce him to some dherr'eshaanian mice once they got home.

Rella sighed happily when she felt Falad's arms wrap around her and caress her stomach. Rella turned her head and looked up at Falad smiling brightly. Falad gave her a light kiss which Rella returned.

"Did you figure out the name yet?" Rella asked once they parted.

Falad smiled and nodded. "Tahar."

Rella smiled and snuggled closer to her husband. "I like it. Which one do you think we'll have?"

"I don't know. I'll be happy with either one."

Rella nodded and the pair continued to look at the diminishing harbor until they no longer could see it. Then they untangled themselves and with hands linked walked below deck to their cabin ready for the journey home.
