The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the picturesque town of Positano. Enzo led the way down a narrow, winding street, his daughter Mia and nephews Jace and Theo trailing behind him. They had all donned sunglasses, eager to explore the charming Italian coastal town.

Enzo and Alec had taken Jace, Mia and Theo on vacation to Positano. Enzo had spent many summers there as a kid and he really wanted to show his daughter and his nephews the little town.

Although Jace, Mia and Theo had already mastered Apparition since last year, Enzo had insisted that the fun was getting around on a scooter. Since they were an odd number, Enzo told Theo to wait and that he would come for him after leaving Mia at the house.

"Theo, my boy, how about you wait here for a moment? I'll take Mia back to the house, and then I'll come for you."

Theo raised an eyebrow. "You sure, Uncle Enzo? I can always apparate."

Enzo chuckled and patted Theo's shoulder. "I know you can, but it'll be more fun this way. Don't worry, I won't be long." With that, he motioned for Mia to follow him and rode away on his scooter.

Alec and Jace joined Enzo near a row of parked scooters. Enzo glanced back at them and stuck his tongue out playfully. "Race to the top, Alec!"

Alec grinned, hair ruffled by the coastal breeze. "You're on, Enzo!"

Enzo revved his scooter's engine and shot up the winding road, the Vespa's tires hugging the curves of the picturesque streets. Alec was close behind, determined in his eyes.

As Enzo and Alec raced away, Theo watched them for a moment, a mischievous glint in his eye. With a movement of his hand he changed his appearance, redhead with green eyes, and approaching a place that said they rented scooters, he decided to show off his English descent and put on an extremely posh accent.

Theo flashed a charming smile. "Excuse me, miss. I'd like to rent a scooter, but I'm a tad green when it comes to these contraptions. Might you be so kind as to lend a hand?"

The girl smiled back at him, her dark eyes sparkling. "Of course! I'll be happy to help. Let me just get your information." She took Theo's identification and quickly jotted down the details.

Theo couldn't help but notice a beautiful blue Vespa. " I rather fancy that blue one, if you don't mind."

She handed him back his documentation and picked up a set of keys. "Certainly, sir. Now, let me show you the ropes."

With utmost patience, she explained, "To start, hold the right handle on the handlebar, which is the accelerator. Give it a slight twist towards you and use the starter pedal on the right side of the rear wheel with your right foot. Press down the clutch lever and shift the left handlebar into first gear. Keep the clutch depressed as you gently twist the right handlebar's throttle. Slowly release the clutch, and your Vespa will start moving."

Theo nodded, absorbing the instructions. "I see, I see. And what about stopping? Safety first, you know."

She continued, "To brake, you can use the brake lever on the right handlebar as well as the right brake pedal on the right side of the track to slow down and downshift gears by pulling in the clutch. Repeat until you're in second gear. When you want to come to a complete stop, hold the clutch on the left handlebar and use the right brake lever."

Theo grinned, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Thank you ever so much for your guidance, miss. I believe I've got the hang of it now."

With a wink, he started the scooter, its engine purring to life. As he pulled away from the rental shop, he couldn't contain his laughter, the thrill of his newfound freedom coursing through him. He was determined to catch up with his uncles and the other.

Enzo and Alec raced each other up the winding roads of Positano, their scooters weaving through the narrow streets, the salty sea breeze tousling their hair. Enzo, with a mischievous grin, glanced back at Alec.

"Come on, Alec! You're falling behind!"

Alec smirked."You might know these streets, Enzo, but you can't outrun me!"

The two continued their friendly competition, revving their scooters and taking tight turns as they climbed higher into the picturesque town.

As Alec and Enzo continued their exhilarating race up the winding streets of Positano, an unexpected sight caught their attention. On the parallel street, a blue scooter came racing by like a lighting bolt.

Mia, who had been enjoying the scenic ride and the rush of the wind in her hair, suddenly opened her eyes wide as she recognized the rider of the blue scooter. She turned to Jace, eyes wide open.

"Jace, is that…is that Teddy?"

Jace, momentarily distracted by the breathtaking views, turned his attention to the blue scooter Mia was pointing at. He squinted, trying to get a better look at the rider.

Jace laughed "Oh my god, it's him, how the fuck did he end up in a scooter"

Just as Mia was about to respond, the blaring sound of police sirens suddenly pierced the air. Panic washed over Jace and Mia as they watched the blue scooter ahead of them, realizing that their friend might be in trouble.

As Theo sped down the street, the sound of police sirens grew louder behind him. Panic coursed through him as he desperately tried to remember how to stop the scooter, but his mind was a whirlwind of confusion.

"Fermati! Stop!" A police officer said through the car speaker.

Theo's heart raced as he clutched the handlebars, unable to recall the instructions he had been given just moments ago. In his frantic state, he accidentally twisted the throttle, causing the scooter to accelerate even more.

Theo panicked, Oh, fuck! What do I do?! Think!

With the Italian police hot on his tail, Theo's options were rapidly dwindling. He glanced to his left and saw that he was close to reaching the top. In a desperate move, he sharply turned the scooter into a narrow alleyway, hoping to lose his pursuers.

Theo's heart pounded in his chest as he maneuvered through the tight alley, the scooter's engine echoing off the ancient stone walls. As he reached a somewhat secluded spot, he hit the brakes and came to a screeching halt.

Theo quickly dismounted the scooter as he removed his helmet. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself and then, with a determined look on his face, he changed his appearance back to his normal self.

As he walked down the bustling street, his relief was short-lived. Suddenly, he felt a sharp slap on the back of his head. Startled, he turned around to find Mia standing there, her face twisted in fury.

"Teddy! What on God's green Earth was going through your head when you decided it was a good idea to take that Vespa alone?"

Theo couldn't help but laugh as he pulled Mia into a tight hug. "Come on, Mia, you worry too much. Sometimes you just have to live a little."

Jace bounded over, a mischievous grin on his face. "Teddy, you're absolutely crazy, mate! I can't believe you pulled that off."

As Theo, Mia, and Jace were sharing a laugh, the parents approached the trio. Enzo leaned in close to Theo, his voice low and serious.

"Theo, listen carefully. Don't breathe a word of this to my wife, your Aunt Eloise, or your father. If they find out, they'll kill me in a non-magical way. And, Theo, you know I'm too young and handsome to die."

Theo, Mia, and Jace exchanged amused glances. They couldn't help but picture the scenario Enzo had painted.

"Don't worry, uncle Enzo, your secret's safe with us. We won't say a word to anyone." Theo chuckled.

The situation in London was quite different. Thoros, Izzy, and Eloise were gathered at Thoros' house. Izzy leaned forward, her eyes filled with curiosity. "Thoros, what did you want to tell us so urgently?"

Thoros met her gaze, his expression serious. "Well, you see," he began, "the day Theo and I went to New York, we made a stop at the British Auror office."

Eloise, who had been quietly listening, piped up, "Why on earth did you go to the Auror office?"

Thoros sighed, then explained, "James Potter summoned me. He had some questions about Hermione Potter, his daughter."

Izzy's eyes widened in surprise. "I didn't even know the Potters had an heiress."

Thoros nodded gravely. "That's the thing. James Potter questioned me as a possible suspect in the kidnapping of his daughter."

Eloise couldn't hide her shock. "Kidnapping? How is that even possible?"

Thoros took a deep breath and continued, "Apparently, the Potter heiress was kidnapped eleven years ago on August 8th. The suspect was described as a man around twenty-eight years old, dressed in all black with striking blue eyes. And he left a black rose on the memorial statue."

Shocked by the disturbing revelation, Eloise couldn't contain her horror. "Kidnapping a child? That's a heinous act!" she exclaimed, her voice quivering with , on the other hand, remained silent, her face clouded with worry.

Thoros, observing Izzy's uneasy demeanor, leaned in closer. "Izzy," he said in a stern yet concerned tone, "I need you to answer this next question truthfully. What's the possibility that Mia is Hermione Potter?"

Izzy's eyes widened in disbelief, and she shot up from her seat, her indignation clear in her expression. "Are you accusing me of kidnapping a minor?" she retorted, her voice trembling with anger.

Thoros, his temper flaring, responded firmly, "No, Izzy! I'm not accusing you of that. But we were all there when Magnus told Mia that someone had gone through a lot of trouble to erase her memory."

Eloise, sensing the tension rising, hurriedly stood up and positioned herself between Izzy and Thoros. "Alright, let's calm down," she urged, her voice soothing yet firm. She then turned to Theo, who had been observing the situation with a concerned expression. "Theo, why do you think Mia might be the Potter heir?"

Thoros sighed heavily, resting his head in his hands for a moment before explaining, "Ellie, we all know that Mia isn't Izzy and Enzo's biological daughter."

Izzy's voice quivered with frustration as she responded, "That's no reason to accuse me of child abduction just because Enzo and I haven't been able to conceive a child. You know how much we've struggled with that."

Frustrated and unable to contain his emotions any longer, Thoros leaned in closer to Izzy, his voice tense. "Izzy, you and Enzo never entered into any adoption process. Children don't just appear out of nowhere," he pointed out, his concern evident in his eyes. He continued, "How did you end up with Mia in the first place ?. It's too much of a coincidence that she's the same age as the Potters' missing daughter."

Eloise turned to her friend, her gaze filled with sincerity. "Thoros is right, Izzy. We've been friends for a long time. Please, be honest with us,"

Izzy, trembling and overwhelmed, sank onto a nearby couch, hugging herself tightly. "It's true," she admitted in a trembling voice. "Enzo and I didn't go through any official adoption process."

Eloise and Thoros exchanged knowing glances and then sat on either side of Izzy, offering their support by holding her hands.

Izzy continued, her voice filled with guilt and apprehension. "Evan showed up one night, about ten years ago, begging me to forgive him and to take care of the child." She paused, her eyes welling up with tears. "I never told the Aurors about that," she confessed.

Thoros cursed softly "Shit," he muttered. "Why didn't you tell them?"

Izzy turned to Thoros, her eyes filled with indignation. "You should understand, Thoros. You know better than anyone the prejudice that still exists against our families. They would have treated me like a criminal if they knew Evan had contacted me and given me Mia."

Eloise looked at Izzy, her tone serious. "Izzy, you could be charged with obstruction of an ongoing investigation. You could go to Azkaban."

Thoros intervened, his voice determined. "No one is going to say anything to anyone about it. If they find out, Mia will be taken away. I know how the Aurors work when there's a kidnapping or a death related to pureblood families from the Sacred Tweinty-Eight."

Eloise, worried, asked a crucial question. "Do any of the children know that Mia isn't really your biological daughter?"

Izzy sighed heavily, wiping away a tear. "Mia has never asked, but she's smart. She must have realized that there are no pictures of my pregnancy."

Thoros, his brow furrowed with concern asked, "Does Enzo know that Mia isn't his biological daughter?"

Izzy nodded solemnly. "Yes," she replied, her voice filled with a mixture of apprehension and resolve. "In fact, he was the one who insisted that we keep Mia when Evan gave her to us."

Thoros continued with his questions. "Did Evan say anything to Enzo that night he gave Mia to you?"

Izzy shook her head, her worry deepening. "No, he didn't give us any information about Mia. It was all very sudden."

Eloise, clearly concerned about the predicament they found themselves in, voiced her worries. "What are we going to do now? If they find out, we could be accused of being accomplices in kidnapping."

Thoros, determined to protect his friends, spoke resolutely. "We need to investigate what we're up against," he said. "And we need to prepare ourselves for any possible future confrontations. The Potters are a very famous family in British wizarding society, and James Potter is a friend of Sirius Black, another well-known family. We need to be careful."

Izzy, feeling a growing weight of responsibility, turned to Thoros with a worried expression. "Thoros," she began hesitantly, "what do you remember from your time at Hogwarts?"

Thoros leaned back, reminiscing for a moment. "Well," he began, "James and Sirius were best friends from the moment they stepped into school. Sirius had a younger brother named Regulus, and Regulus was friends with Lucius Malfoy, especially since Lucius had married Narcissa Black."

Izzy couldn't help but connect the dots. "So, we're basically taking on the Potter, Black, and Malfoy families if they ever find out that Mia is Hermione."

Thoros nodded, his expression grave. "Yes, it's a dangerous situation. But there's something you should know," he continued. "Mia might not have your blood, but in the eyes of the law, she's considered royal blood."

Izzy's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean?"

Thoros explained, "Under Muggle law, Mia is the sole heir of the Grimaldi family, one of the most important European royal families. She's also the sole descendant of the Rosier family."

Izzy realized the implications. "But if we go to trial, my bloodline wouldn't matter because Mia doesn't carry my blood."

Thoros nodded, but then his tone became more reassuring. "But there's something you need to understand. After the ritual that Mia, Jace, and my son performed, they essentially became family. I saw it in my family tree, Mia and Jace are joined to Theo. When you recited that spell, you bound Mia to you for the purposes of magical law. It's a spell older than the founders of Hogwarts, and it's a borderline considered an Unforgivable curse, at least according to the British Wizengamot. The spell wouldn't have worked if the magic didn't recognize you as Mia's mother."

Eloise couldn't contain her curiosity any longer, and she turned to Thoros with a furrowed brow. "Thoros," she asked, "why is the ritual that united Izzy, Selene and me when we were young, and now our children, is forbidden by the Wizengamot?"

Thoros sighed. "Well," he began, "that ritual practically united your souls and your magic. Many people consider it dark magic because it brings two people together in a way that could have disastrous children feel each other's feelings, their magic is intertwined. It's a powerful bond, but it has its drawbacks. Did you notice anything strange when my wife passed away?"

Eloise and Izzy exchanged glances, their memories stirring. After a moment of reflection, Izzy spoke up, "Now that we think about it, our magic was pretty shaky during that time."

Thoros nodded gravely. "Exactly. Those were the effects of the bond breaking. But it could have been much worse. Other effects can include death or severe illness, even losing one's magic altogether."

Izzy, absorbing the implications of what Thoros had shared, spoke up. "So, what you're saying, Thoros, is that because of the spell we cast, Mia is, under magical law, fully a Rosier as if she had been born into it."

Thoros nodded. "Yes, that's correct. If you look at the Rosier family tree, you'll see that Mia is intricately linked to you and Enzo. That kind of magical connection usually only happens when a child is biologically related to their parents. The spell recognized you as Mia's mother, regardless of her blood."

Eloise furrowed her brow, deep in thought. "Izzy," she asked, "what do you think would happen if we did a blood test on Mia? What would the results show?"

Izzy considered the question carefully before responding. "The only way to find out for sure is to give Mia a blood test," she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Eloise nodded in agreement but voiced her concerns. "We can't just go to any wizarding hospital for that, though. It would cause too much commotion if it were discovered that Mia might be the Potters' missing daughter."

Just as the weight of the situation seemed to be closing in on them, Thoros interjected with a suggestion. "Why don't we contact Magnus?" he proposed. "He could be discreet about it."

Izzy's eyes lit up with hope, and she nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea. We'll wait until the children, Alec and my husband, return from Positano, and then we can reach out to Magnus."

"Remember," Thoros said firmly, "we're not going to leave without a fight. No matter what the blood test reveals, what some bunch of old wizards say, you have rights too. Mia came to you and Enzo under dubious circumstances, but you both took it upon yourselves to raise her as your own. Mia considers you and Enzo her parents, that bond is never going to be erased. You have just as much right to her as the Potters do."

Suddenly, Thoros stood up abruptly, causing Eloise to ask in surprise, "Where are you going, Thoros?"

Thoros turned to face his friends, his expression somber. "I'm going on a short visit to Azkaban," he said. "It's time to visit my older brother."
