I don't not own anything related to Dinosaur King. Dinosaur King is owned by Sunrise, Shout Factory, and 4kidsTV.

On the small island of Sri Lanka, the jungle was alive. A herd of Sri Lankan elephants walked about in a designated trail the matriarch had created for her herd to follow. A calf was having the time of her life, swinging her trunk around while trying to understand. Her mother let out a low grumble to bring her over, but the calf wasn't listening fully.

The calf then came across a card capsule laying on the ground. Curious, she messed with it by kicking it around. Another grumble from her mom made the calf come back, unintentionally kicking it into a rock.

The card capsule hit the trunk of a tree and opened up with two cards in it. The cards landed in a collected puddle of water and activated.

A Brachiosaurus with a fuchsia pink top and lilac purple underside appeared, her head appearing through the canopy. She let out a roar that caused the birds to fly away.

"I could watch this for hours." Max admitted. He was at the Sanctuary and marveled at the dinosaurs they had retrieved.

"Max, I know you like dinosaurs but maybe you should do something else?" Rex suggested. While the blonde also enjoyed the sight -since this was the closest they would ever get to seeing dinosaurs with flesh and bones- they had other priorities. He and Zoe were going through Move Cards from the Cardfolio, looking for moves to use with Terry, Spiny, and Tank.

"Forget it, Rex." Zoe said, "He's basically hypnotized. After all, he puts dinosaurs before anything." She picked up a Water crest one and placed it into her deck, which also had some Grass crest ones.

"Yeah, I know. But do you think he could focus on something else?" Rex asked, picking up a Wind Move Card. "Dr. Taylor has been writing notes nonstop." Sure enough, Spike has been writing and sketching the D-Team's dinosaurs in full detail.

"Okay, a little longer neck… rougher back… need a few more teeth… sharper claws…" Spike muttered to himself to get the exact details of each dinosaur he was sketching whilst writing notes about behaviors.

"Like father, like son." Zoe sweat-dropped. She picked up one with a gray outline and no crest. "What do you think this one means?"

Rex took a look at it. "I'm not sure. Maybe any dinosaur could use them?"

Zoe thought about it for a while. "I guess that makes sense. I remember seeing Neck Crusher, Tail Smash, and Dino Swing like that."

The blonde nodded before speaking something on his mind. "Come to think of it, what do you think the Alpha Gang will do now?"

"Probably quit." Max said, walking over and sitting down next to them. "I mean, we do have Terry, Spiny, and Tank now. I don't think they have other dinosaurs." He picked up a Fire Move Card, interested in it. He then quickly began shifting through cards.

"Well, I guess now we don't have to worry about the old lady, now." Zoe giggled.

In the Jurassic period, Ursula roared aloud. "I may be in the Jurassic period but I'm not old!"

"Ursula!" Ed and Zander scolded before she realized her mistake. They were hiding from a Mericanthosaurus and her shout alerted him. They climbed the nearest tree, out of the theropod's reach. The dinosaur snapped up at them, in an attempt to reach them.

Back to present, Rex crossed his arms in thought. "I don't think we can count them out just yet. Even without dinosaurs, they still have all those robots and machines. Maybe they'll use those to their advantage?"

Max and Zoe absorbed this information and reluctantly agreed. "I guess. But the droids don't seem smart. They basically repeated orders." Zoe recalled.

"And from what it looked like, the machines were more beneficial towards their base than capturing dinosaurs." Max noted.

Rex agreed with that. Then they noticed their Dino Holders going off. "Another dinosaur!" They said. Picking up their cards, they quickly got their partners and headed towards the transporter.

"You'll be heading to Sri Lanka, a small country off Asia." Reese said, typing in the coordinates. "Good luck."

The D-Team pressed the buttons on their devices and transported away. By the time they did, Spike re-entered the room with his sketchpad.

"D-oh! I missed the kids, didn't I?" Spike realized.

"Affirmative." Reese responded.

"And I was about to show them my masterpiece!" Spike said, enthusiastically. Reese swiveled around to see a mash-up of the different saved dinosaurs due to his multitasking. She turned around and commented. "Maybe you should stick to one dinosaur first."

The D-Team teleported in the jungle and were amazed by the landscape. "Woah, check this place out!" Max said. "It reminds me of the Amazon."

"Sri Lanka is a small island that is mostly jungle." Rex explained.

"Let's hope this isn't like when we got Hissy." Zoe said, remembering their real first mission.

"Don't worry, Zoe." Max reassured her. "This won't be like the last time! Now, let's get Terry, Spiny, and Tank out and about. Time for their first official mission with the D-Team!"

The D-Team summoned their partners, the three aforementioned dinosaurs looking around at their new surroundings. They were not used to being summoned when there was no battle and had free range, other than Zeta Point.

Max bent down to their level, "Ok, you three. This is your first mission with the D-Team. We don't like to keep you guys as cards unless you need to recharge."

"Yeah, we're a team." Rex said, also to their level.

"We don't want to lose you." Zoe added.

"Can we count on you?" Max asked.

The three former Alpha Gang dinos nodded and roared, letting them know they were willing to fight.

"Great! Now, let's go find that dinosaur!" Max cheered.

DK

"Where is this dinosaur!?" Max shouted. It had been an hour and there was no sign of the wild. The brunette grabbed his hair in frustration.

"Like I said before Max, we can't wrap right next to it." Rex said. The blonde looked down at his Dino Holder, which depicted a red light. "Though that would be helpful in the long haul." He admitted in a low breath.

"I have to agree with Max here," Zoe agreed, sitting on a rock. "My feet are killing me and this humidity is not good for my hair. Maybe we should take a small break?" She suggested.

Rex saw that their dinos were also feeling somewhat exhausted too, so the blonde made the call. "Alright, ten minute break. But then we get back to it."

With that said, the D-Team took a faint break. As they did, they heard the sounds of a jungle with birds singing and monkeys hollowering in the air.

"Woah, taking it all in, the jungle noises are pretty nice." Zoe thought aloud.

Then there was a low grumble heard.

"Something tells me that the owner of that noise isn't a nice animal." Rex dreaded. Turning their heads to the source, they saw an Asian elephant speed-walking towards them.

"Woah!" The D-Team exclaimed.

"Easy, girl!" A human voice shouted. This made the elephant stop and trumpet. After that, the elephant kneeled and revealed a native boy. "Sorry about her," the boy apologized and got off his ride. The elephant stood back up and the boy patted her. "Sometimes she gets too excited about her daily walks in the rainforest." The boy said as the elephant grunted. "Well, you do tend to." The boy added, as if he was talking to the animal.

The D-Team let out breaths of relief, glad they weren't about to be trample.

"I don't think I've seen you three around here before. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Rohan." The boy, now known as Rohan, revealed.

"I'm Max, this is Rex and Zoe," Max introduced himself, while gesturing to his friends.

Rohan nodded before looking down at their partners. "Those are some odd-looking dogs." He voiced.

"Oh, uh, yeah! Dogs!" Max said, sheepishly scratching the back of his head. Rex and Zoe laughed with embarrassment, hoping Rohan didn't think they were too odd.

Rohan didn't pick up on it before looking up and shielding his eyes from the sun. "It's already the afternoon? Guess we might as well head back to the reserve." Rohan said, "Are you three lost?"

"Well…" Zoe started but Max interrupted.

"Yes, actually." Max lied. "We were with a tour group and were on this trip through the jungle but got separated."

Rex and Zoe caught on and played along. "Yep!/Very lost!"

Rohan gestured to the elephant, "Don't worry. I'll take you back to the reserve then you can get back to civilization. Mac!"

The elephant lowered herself and Rohan gestured for the D-Team to get on her. They obliged, carrying their partners before setting them down and Rohan joined.

"Back to the preserve." Rohan kindly asked. Mac grunted and headed back to their preserve.

Meanwhile, the Brachiosaurus was carefully walking through the jungle. She was being careful, knowing how her size can present a problem.

As she walked through Sri Lanka, she found it vastly different from her time in the Jurassic period.

The foliage looked familiar but the new wildlife puzzled her. The gray mammals were to the size of her knee, some reaching above that. The flying birds and primates have primarily evolved into living among the treetops.

However her interests were not in the evolved wildlife, rather she was just passing through the jungle. Her eyes had spotted a large grassland and she was heading there for the moment.

DK

After a while of trekking, Rohan announced. "Here we are!" Lightly tapping Mac, the elephant lowered herself again, allowing her passengers to get off.

They had reached the elephant preserve which had a large arc of flattened land and a river flowing through. There were a few enrichment items for the pachyderms that live here.

A herd of elephants were minding their own business and Mac went to join them, returning from her walk with Rohan.

"Wow…" The D-Team said, breathless.

"Yep." Rohan said with a smile. "I've been caring for these elephants since I was 9 years old. My parents first joined years ago before they got married. Then I came along and ended up enjoying my time here." Rohan explained. An elephant calf ran up to Rohan and gave a trumpet. Rohan laughed, hugging the calf.

The D-Team smiled at the interaction. "I guess you really want to save these animals, don't you?" Rex voiced.

"Yeah," Rohan said. "Elephants are endangered due to their ivory and deforestation. If elephants went extinct, their place in the environment could damage the ecosystem."

The D-Team nodded as they heard this. They found it similar to how they save dinosaurs since the Alpha Gang was using them for their own gain.

"Guess I better start giving the herd their lunch." Rohan said. "We have other workers here."

"Can we help out?" Max offered.

"Really?" Rohan replied. "You want to help?"

"This thing is… up our alley." Rex admitted, bending the lie.

"Something like that." Zoe said.

Rohan thought about it before shrugging, "Sure, why not?"

The D-Team proceeded to help Rohan with his chores and caring for the pachyderms.

Max helped bathe the herd. The elephants often used the natural flowing stream to cool off and bathe in. The small dinos -except for Ace- splashed about, along with some of the calves. One calf was a mischief maker, spraying Max in the face. Rex and Zoe laughed at his expense, before Max joined in.

Rex helped by feeding the elephants by giving them vegetables, hay, and fruits. The elephants ate with much gusto.

Zoe wiped her forehead, finding it hard to give some elephants a pedicure. She thought it would be easier but it turned out to be much harder.

But it was worth it in the end for the D-Team. Since they had to care for many dinosaurs now, they had some similar chores to do from feeding, bathing, and keeping them fit.

"Whew! I don't know about you guys but I'm beat." Max said, exhausted.

"You said it." Zoe agreed, slumping on the ground.

"Hope any dinosaurs in the future don't need the same requirements." Rex said, also exhausted. "Just food, shelter, and exercise."

"Thanks for the help today." Rohan thanked, coming over. "You guys were a huge help today."

"No problem," Max said, "Like we said, this is sorta up our alley."

Suddenly, the kids began to feel the earth shake. "W-what's going on?" Rohan asked, gripping onto something.

"An earthquake?" Zoe deduced.

"This doesn't feel like an earthquake." Rex said, having an idea of the source.

Some trees were moved and the Brachiosaurus appeared, coming through to the preserve just as the elephant herd, leaving the D-Team and native in shock.

DK

A predominantly gold Sinraptor with black claws, legs, and spine snarls and snaps at a tangerine orange Huayangosaurus with cyan plates and spikes. The stegosaur let out a bellow, swinging his tail at the theropod. The two Jurassic dinosaurs circled around each other, one looking for a meal, the other looking to live.

All while the Alpha Gang spied on them.

"Well, well," Ursula eagerly said, rubbing her hands together. "Two dinos…"

"Fighting each other…" Ed continued.

"And while they tire themselves out, we get a two for one special." Zander finished.

"Hehehehehehehe!" The three lackeys giggled.

"Send out the Alpha Droids!" Ursula ordered.

"Already on it!" Zander said, inputting some commands.

A platoon of Alpha Droids emerged from the bush all saying, "Capture. Capture. Capture." as they honed in on the two Jurassic dinosaurs.

The Sinraptor and Huayangosaurus stopped their fight response, seeing the newcomers and formed a temporary truce to stop whatever these 'gray creatures' are from invading their personal space.

DK

"There's the dinosaur!" Zoe exclaimed.

"What is that?!" Rohan exclaimed, not familiar with dinosaurs.

"A Brachiosaurus!" Max identified. "And she's gigantic!"

"Not even Hissy was this big." Rex muttered.

The purple sauropod lowered her head to drink from the water and the matriarch of the herd bellowed, not familiar with the intruder. The sauropod continued to drink, not paying any attention.

"What do we do?" Zoe asked her two friends.

"We have to put her back into her card." Rex reasoned.

"Yeah, but…" Max trailed off. They looked to see Rohan, still trying to grasp the fact of a Brachiosaurus right before him.

"Max, one way or another, we have to save this dinosaur." Rex reminded him. As much as he didn't want to reveal it, they had their own mission of saving the dinosaurs.

Max then reluctantly agreed. "Alright. Terry, think you can do it?" The brunette asked the t-rex.

"Rawr!" Terry confirmed, looking forward to fighting.

"You too, Tank!" Rex told the Saichania, who was eager to fight too.

"Let's go, Spiny!" Zoe agreed, the Spinosaurus jumped up and down excitedly. They each pressed the button of their Dino Holders and reverted the three former Alpha Gang dinosaurs to their cards state and slashed them.

"DINO SLASH!"

"FLAME UP, TYRANNOSAURUS REX!"

"SHAKE 'EM UP, SAICHANIA!

"GUSH OUT, SPINOSAURUS!"

"No way!" Rohan said, still in shock. "They are also dinosaurs!?"

All three dinosaurs appeared and gave a roar. The Brachiosaurus stopped her drink and saw her three opponents. Raising her neck, she bellowed loudly and a Battlefield appeared.

"Alright, guys." Max said, "Let's save that dino!"

Terry gave out a loud roar and charged towards the Brachiosaurus. However, the sauropod swung her neck, knocking the rex to the ground.

"Tank, get in there!" Rex shouted. Tank roared and swung her tail around, but the Brachiosaurus reared up, avoiding the clubbed tail.

"Spiny, now!" Zoe chimed in. The Spinosaurus jumped into the air and got on the Brachiosaurus back. The gray-purple theropod sank his teeth on the neck, mildly irritating the 'arm lizard.' She swung her neck with Spiny still on it and threw him into Tank, sending them tumbling.

"Ahhh!" The D-Team gasped in fear.

"She's tough, that's for sure." Max commented. Terry stood back up and let out another roar. With that challenge, the Brachiosaurus glowed blue, activating her Move Card.

"Wait, she has a Move Card?!" Max exclaimed.

The Brachiosaurus roared and sent hydrokinetic javelin constructs at the dinosaurs. Terry, Spiny, and Tank were hit, not virtually stabbed but in pain nonetheless. But of the watery weapons sprayed over to the elephant herd. Frightened by the move card, the matriarch let out a trumpet, leading the herd and stampeding away from the fight and off the preserve.

"Oh no, the elephants!" Max exclaimed.

"That Move Card scared them and now they are stampeding!" Rex added.

"There's a road out there!" Rohan remembered. "And someone could get hurt! Even the elephants!"

"We've got to do something!" Zoe said, worryingly.

Max racked his idea for a brief moment then got an idea. "Rohan! You have to stop the herd!"

"What?!" The native said in shock. "I-I can't do that! I'm just one person!"

"Which is why I'm giving you help." Max clarified and tapped his Dino Holder again. "Let's hope this works."

"DINO SLASH! TRICERATOPS, ROAR!"

Chomp appeared in full glory and let out a roar. "Get on Chomp and stop the herd, Rohan. We trust you." Max said.

Rohan looked hesitant at first, still processing everything, but then nodded with determination. Chomp lowered himself, allowing Rohan to get on and then ran after them.

"DINO SLASH! CARNOTAURUS, BLOW THEM AWAY!"

"DINO SLASH! PARASAUROLOPHUS, BLOOM!"

Ace and Paris were also summoned. Max looked at his friends, which Zoe gave a wink. "Don't leave the rescue to Chomp. Paris, after Chomp!"

"You too, Ace! Help with the herd!"

The hadrosaur and carnosaur understood and ran after the ceratopsian and native onboard.

"While I'm grateful the herd isn't so close to the fight anymore, we still have to deal with the Brachiosaurus." Max reminded them.

Terry, Spiny, and Tank managed to stand once again, having enough energy to fight on.

"And with that Move Card, it's going to be difficult." Zoe admitted aloud.

"How are we supposed to take her down?" Rex questioned.

Max thought for a minute before remembering, "Our new Move Cards!"

"Oh yeah!" Rex said, also remembering.

"Think they will help?" Zoe said.

"Don't know." Max said, opening his fanny pack and pulling out his Fire Move Cards. "But we have to give it a shot. Though, I'll need to go last, considering I don't want to start a forest fire."

"True." Rex admitted, drawing an Earth Move Card.

Zoe took out a Water Move Card, "Then let's bring her down!" She was the first to slash a Water Move Card. "Water Sword!"

Spiny roared, glowing blue, before forming a hydro construct sword in his mouth. He swung it around, slashing through the Brachiosaurus. The sauropod bellowed in pain before slightly faltering.

"Our turn!" Rex shouted and swiped an Earth Move Card. "Sand Trap!"

Covered in a purple glow, Tank's eyes shined purple, letting out a roar. A pit of sand appeared beneath the Brachiosaurus, before she began to sink. The sauropod struggled but it only made it worse as she sunk deeper and deeper. So only her top half was showing.

"All yours, Max!" Rex informed his friend.

"Thanks, guys!" Max said before pulling out a Fire Move Card. "Blue Volcano!"

Like Volcano Burst, Terry's eyes ignited with blue fire only this time he spat out several blue fireballs that circled him. The T-rex let out a roar and the fireballs circled the Brachiosaurus before pelting her to the point she bellowed in pain.

From the combined attacks and struggling, the Brachiosaurus let out one final roar from using up all her energy and turned back into a card.

"Way to go, guys!" Max cheered. He ran over to get the cards, smiling as he did. "We just got ourselves a new herd member and a Move Card!" He turned around and patted Terry on the snout. "Great work."

Terry let out a comforting growl, having not really been on the receiving end of praise before the Alpha Gang. He licked Max affectionately, making the brunette chuckle.

"Not bad for your first mission with us." Rex congratulated Tank, who roared proudly.

"You three were amazing." Zoe with a smile, something Spiny hissed happily.

"Everyone!" Rohan said, coming back on Chomp. The elephant herd was being guided by Paris in front while Ace was in the back to make sure no one strayed. Rohan hopped off the Triceratops and patted him on the leg. "Thanks for the assistance." The native said before asking what was on his mind. "So, now are you going to tell me about what that giant reptile was? Let alone your dogs?" He quizzed.

"Well…" The D-Team said before explaining their story.

DK

After hearing everything the D-Team said, Rohan was blown away.

"That's a lot of information to take in." The native said, sitting down.

"Yeah, we don't tell many people about it." Max admitted.

"Last time we did, we kinda got locked up." Rex said, remembering the Monaco mission.

"So you go around the world to save these dinosaurs from this organization who wants to use them for their own gain?" Rohan reiterated.

"That's right." The three kids said.

Rohan racked the idea around in his head before saying, "Well, I guess you are sort of like me in a way."

"That's one way to see it." Max said with a smile, glad Rohan understood where they were coming from.

"So what will you do with the Brachiosaurus?" Rohan asked, having learned the name of the dinosaur.

"Well, we'll take Littlefoot here back to our place and give her a proper home among our herd." Max replied, holding up the Brachiosaurus and Aqua Javelin cards.

"She'll be among other dinosaurs in a safe environment." Rex added.

Rohan absorbed the information, glad that the Brachiosaurus would be in good hands. "Understood." He gave a thumbs-up. "Good luck on your mission!"

"Thanks for the encouragement." The D-Team smiled at their new friend. Max pulled out the D-Team medal and handed it to the native.

"Considering you know our secret and are doing your own part to help endangered animals, I want to welcome you to the D-Team."

Rohan took with a big smile, "Glad to join." With that said, the D-Team teleported back home.

DK

From Zeta Point, the dinosaur light blinked for hours before signing off. Dr. Z, who had been watching it, growled, knowing who was to blame for the loss of 'his' dinosaur.

"Those insufferable brats! They took another one of my dinosaurs for themselves!" Dr. Z angrily shouted in the confines of his lab. Behind were test tubes, bubbling with Move Cards.

After his little tantrum, Dr. Z managed to calm down before a maniacal grin worked its way onto his face. "However, it won't matter how many of my precious dinosaurs they take! I will regain the ones I've lost, then those snotty brats, then my empire will rise! Mwahahahaha!"

On the table next to him, four Move Cards have been successfully developed. And Dr. Z had many more to make.

Next time on Dinosaur King: The Complete Collection

Max: Did you have a nightmare, Terry?

Rex: What kind of dinosaur has tracks like these?

Max: Terry, you need to calm down!

(Terry and a Giganotosaurus engage in a headlock on a craggy, volcanic Time Warp landscape)

A/N: And the first original mission chapter is now done.

I always wanted to see a Brachiosaurus in the Dinosaur King. So, I decided to implement one in this story. I've only read two Dinosaur King fanfictions with the aforementioned sauropod, which was considered a Secret element. Went a different route, making Littlefoot a Water element.

I was originally wanted to use Hydro Cutter but decided to go with Aqua Javelin for Littlefoot.

Considering the D-Team has the Cardfolio now, I had them shift through some of the cards to see potential new Move Cards. Hence Water Sword and Sand Trap.

Blue Volcano is an original move I created. Works like Volcano Burst but with blue fire and the user manipulates the flames to their bidding. I think Volcano Burst is just a straight line, since Ace dodged it one time in the cartoon. I suggested it to EquestrianWriter for one of their chapters.

EquestrianWriter: I will. Just wait for later chapters. I plan to try to do what you did with Carnival of Chaos with new dinosaurs.

Earth Beast: Thank you for your support.

Until next time!
