In the Cretaceous Period in North America, the sun had just risen and prehistoric life was alive once more.

Near a lake, a herd of Dreadnoughtus lumbered about, one hardly feeling the sting of a mosquito.

A flock of Pteranodons flew away just as a Quetzalcoatlus came down to join others of its kind, feasting on the carcass of a hadrosaur.

By the lake, a few Euoplocephalus were drinking from it.

In a cavern, three Oviraptors were shrieking towards one another before the 'leader' snagged an egg they were stealing, followed by the other two.

A herd of Nasutoceratops lumbered across the land, passing through a river that connected to the lake.

All while a Lambeosaurus carcass was being feasted on. It fell to escape its predator and resulted in being taken down.

The predator was none other than Terry.

The t-rex was snacking away on his fresh kill, gaining the proper nutrients to become stronger by the second. He was currently in his adolescent age and living on his own.

Taking a second, Terry sniffed the air and caught a whiff of another predator. Terry snarled, knowing who's scent he had just captured.

From the forest, a Giganotosaurus emerged, snarling right back at the rex. She let out a fierce roar, letting Terry know she was trespassing on her territory.

Terry huffed and roared right back, placing his foot on his kill, to make sure she didn't get any ideas.

Unfortunately, due to being in her territory and the smell of a fresh kill, the Giganotosaurus had one idea in mind.

She didn't like to scavenge but it was easier for her. The Giganotosaurus roared and began to approach Terry's kill.

The rex responded with a roar back and stormed over. The t-rex engaged the giga, snapping his jaws before she circled him. The two theropods went at it, each gaining the upper hand at times, but eventually the Giganotosaurus knocked Terry to the ground.

She prepared to lunge but Terry got up in time and ran away, his kill no longer his. The Giganotosaurus made a gloating grunt and turned her attention to her free breakfast.

Terry watched as the larger theropod snacked away on the carcass he had procured, much to his fury. He loomed the plateau with a fierce look as he had to find his next meal.

Terry woke up from his nightmare. He looked around, seeing he was still with Max. Terry let out a small growl which awakened Max, prompting him to see the disgruntled rex.

"Terry? What are you doing?" Max asked and crept closer. Chomp was fast asleep, proving he was a heavy sleeper.

Terry didn't look Max in the eye and the brunette pieced it together. "You had a nightmare?"

While he wasn't sure what a nightmare is, Terry nodded as he replayed the image of her in his head. While he was considered king of the dinosaurs, that didn't mean that other carnivores would try to their shot to take down other T-rexes. And the Gigantosaurus was no exception.

Max gave Terry a hug, "Don't worry. It's just a dream. It can't harm you." Max released and then went back to bed, "If you want to you can sleep with me on the bed."

Terry almost considered it but then shook his head. "Suit yourself." Max said and immediately fell back to sleep.

Terry shook the thoughts from his head and went back to sleep.

Little did he know, Max was wrong about the 'harm' part.

On the coast of Argentina, a capsule had washed up and broke apart, revealing two cards within it.

Nearby, a campfire was slowly dwindling, releasing embers that touched the cards and activated it.

A gray-green palette Giganotosaurus with a black spine and stripes emerged from a red glow. Letting out a proud roar, the wild theropod roamed the coastline before entering the jungle.

In the Cretaceous Period, the Alpha Craft hovered in the prehistoric sky, looking for some new 'recruits' to serve them.

"Ugh! We haven't come across any dinosaurs that could help us get Terry, Spiny, and Tank back!" Ursula complained after about a minute in the air.

"Well, it's not like any dinosaur will be willing to come with us." Zander admitted, "Remember how we got two in the Jurassic?"

"It was an eat-or-be-eaten world then." Ursula dismissed. In her hands, she had two dinosaur cards: Earth and Wind.

"Isn't it still an eat-or-be-eaten world?" Ed questioned.

"Yes, but might I remind you that this was towards the end of dinosaurs." Ursula said. "And we need to catch four more, preferably ones we haven't seen."

Zander caught something on the radar, "Looks like we have our first candidate. 2 kilometers North."

"Then let's step on it!" Ursula ordered. "Once we get these four, we'll have access to air conditioning and a shower. One of you smells." She waved her hand in front of her face, fanning away the odor.

"I think that might be you, Ursula." Ed pointed out only to get a kick to his head.

"Zander, any other comments?" Ursula said with a sweet smile, daring the lanky man to answer.

"Nope! Nada! Let's get that dinosaur!" Zander quickly said as he flew off, fearful of the woman's rage.

It was morning at the Taylor household and Max woke up, feeling refreshed. Letting out of yawn, Max smacked his lips before looking to see Chomp waking up afterwards. "Morning, Chomp." Max greeted and patted the Triceratops. "Morning, Ter-" He started but then saw Terry not on the floor. "Terry?"

Getting out of bed, Max exited his room and knocked on Rex's door. The blonde opened up, "Morning, Max."

"Hey, Rex. Have you seen Terry?" The brunette asked.

Rex shook his head, "I haven't. Ace and Tank have been with me all night. Maybe he's downstairs?"

Both boys headed downstairs and eventually saw Terry. However the small t-rex looked rather sleep deprived and pacing back and forth at the backyard door. Both boys winced at that.

"He looks like he didn't get much sleep last night." Rex noted. "Do you know what could have caused him to do so?"

"Not sure." Max responded, concerned for the red dinosaur. "I think he had a nightmare last night."

"Are you sure?" Rex questioned. It didn't seem far from the truth but he didn't think the 'king of dinosaurs' could even get nightmares.

"I asked him last night but he just brushed it off. Think he might be afraid of something?" Max replied.

Rex was about to answer but their Dino Holders went off, causing them to stop their questions for now.

"Come on, Terry!" Max urged and the red dino, despite being tired, followed behind with his partner.

Arriving at the D-Lab, they met up with Zoe and her dinos before Reese briefed them in.

"The dinosaur seems to be in Argentina, the second largest country in South America." The scientist noticed.

"Ohhhh! Argentina!" Dr. Taylor said with starry eyes. "Please, can I come with you?!"

"You know the rules, dad." Max said, embarrassed by his dad's want to join them on the trip.

"What if you need someone to identify the dinosaur?!" The paleontologist begged.

"That's a bit ridiculous, don't you think?" Max said, "We've already been able to identify all the dinosaurs we've seen."

"But-"

"We'll be fine, Dr. Taylor." Rex answered and the D-Team warped away.

"One of these days, I'll be able to go on a mission." Dr. Taylor weeped with anime tears.

"Maybe if you were mature and had a stone, you would be able to go on the missions." Reese muttered quietly as she continued her work.

DK

After their teleportation, the D-Team were on a cliffside overlooking the coast of Argentina.

"Man, check out this view!" Max exclaimed looking over the cliffside.

"Feel that breeze in your hair!" Zoe agreed, taking in the air.

"Guys, as much as I like to take in the scenery too, we have a mission, remember?" Rex reminded them.

"We know, Rex. But we're traveling the world. Don't you want to see it once in a while?" Max asked.

Rex let out a sigh and grew a faint smile. "I suppose you're right. But after we find the dinosaur."

"Fine." Max and Zoe said, knowing the mission was more important. But they would get to see Argentina afterwards.

With that they headed off, using the light to triangulate where their target was. It was only a few minutes traversing the jungle when Rex noticed something.

"Hey, check it out!" The blonde said and ran over to the discovery.

"What is it?" Zoe asked before she and Max saw what caught their friend's attention.

"Check it out," Rex said and pointed to a series of footprint tracks. "What kind of dinosaur has tracks like these?" Max and Zoe observed it for a while, thinking about it.

"Well, we know it's not a herbivore." Zoe deduced.

"A carnivore. And from the size of it, not a dromaeosaur. Which means it's a theropod. And a large one at that." Max deduced.

"I say we keep following these tracks." Rex decided. "It should lead us to the dinosaur. And before it causes any trouble to the ecosystem." The D-Team nodded and took off.

However, Terry stayed behind.

He didn't need to see the dinosaur to know what it was. It was her. The mere thought made him shutter and almost activate his flight response but he managed to compose himself and follow Max. But that didn't stop the t-rex from worrying.

DK

In the Cretaceous Period, the Alpha Gang had come across a watering hole. And to their greedy delight, they spotted a few dinosaurs.

An apricot peach colored Ouranosaurus had wandered away from her herd and was taking a drink.

A lone Nemegtosaurus with a silverish back and pink underside was seen wading in the watering hole for the time being.

And to top of the herbivores, a roan colored Titanoceratops with a yellow colored frill grazed on some bushes nearby that the water source fed.

"Would you look at that? An Ouranosaurus." Ursula identified.

"Along with a Nemegtosaurus." Zander added.

"And a Titanoceratops." Ed finished. Their tones were laced with greed as they saw their targets within their grasp.

"Scanners ready?" Ursula asked, holding her own.

"Ready!" Ed and Zander replied, holding theirs. The trio was about to press the buttons to revert the dinosaurs to cards when a monstrous roar was heard.

An auburn colored Tyrannotitan with a crimson back charged out in the open, looking for a meal. The Ouranosaurus took off, trying to keep up with her herd but she had wandered too far. The Nemegtosaurus emerged from the watering hole, trying to stand his ground and protect the sail-back hadrosaur. The Titanoceratops let out a challenging roar, pawing the ground as the Tyrannotitan marched over and grunted.

The Alpha Gang blinked several times before their smiles grew once more.

"Well, that makes our job much easier." Ursula remarked and readied her Alpha Scanner again at the feuding dinosaurs.

DK

Following the tracks, the D-Team were led to an open grassland area. The tracks began to fade shortly after and soon they couldn't track the dinosaur.

"Darn it, the tracks end here." Rex said, disappointed.

"How are we supposed to find the dinosaur now?" Zoe wondered aloud. "If it's a theropod, then it could scare the people who live in Argentina."

"And a big one at that." Max said.

Before anyone else could make a further comment, there was a sound of grunting. The D-Team looked to see what that noise was from and they were greeted with a herd of guanacos running across the grassland.

"Are those wild llamas?" Zoe questioned and pulled down her goggles to see.

Rex squinted and identified, "No, those are guanacos. Close to llamas but they are more suited for grassland habitats in South America."

"I bet I know what spooked them." Max stated and pointed to see the target.

The Giganotosaurus was chasing the herd to have a decent meal.

"A Giganotosaurus!" Max identified.

"One of the biggest carnivores of all time." Rex grimly remembered.

Terry saw the wild dinosaur and went rigid. It was her. Of course, it was her. Of all the dinos in the world, it had to be her. The t-rex made a small grunt and walked backwards, trying to avoid a battle.

"Ok, I'll send Chomp and Terry to battle-" Max began before he only saw Chomp at his feet. He turned around and saw the fearful look in Terry's eyes. "Terry?" The brunette questioned.

The rest of the D-Team turned to see the red carnivore inching away from the fight. "What's up?" Max tried to approach the carnivore but the fearful look in his face. Terry turned back to the jungle and ran inside.

"Terry!" Max yelled and ran after him with Chomp.

"Max, wait!" Rex called out but the brunette and Triceratops have left to chase the t-rex.

"What's up with Terry?" Zoe asked.

"Not sure," Rex said before getting his Dino Holder ready, "Ace, let's do this!"

"You too, Spiny!" Zoe said.

"DINO SLASH! CARNOTAURUS, BLOW THEM AWAY!"

"DINO SLASH! GUSH OUT, SPINOSAURUS!"

Both theropods roared as a Battlefield appeared. The Giganotosaurus noticed the new competitors and found them trespassers on her territory. She ceased her chase and went to engage them.

Ace ran up first, going for headbutt. However, the Giganotosaurus didn't feel a thing. She bit down on Ace and threw him aside.

Spiny followed up, lunging for a bite of his own. The giga sidestepped the attack and swung her tail, hitting the spino in the face before grabbing his neck and swinging him around. Once she released Spiny, he hit the ground in pain.

"That's one tough dinosaur." Zoe said, sweating at the sheer power.

"Yeah, but we have to try to take her down and hold out, in case Max comes back." Rex stated, knowing that Terry or Chomp can help in defeating the wild dinosaur.

DK

Terry ran for his life in the jungle. He couldn't face her. He never won. He was a coward and he knew it. But she was far, far, far stronger than he would ever be. And that's the case.

"Terry! Terry!" Max shouted as he ran with Chomp to catch up to their friend. The brunette had a feeling he knew why the red carnivore was running away from this fight.

Eventually the mini carnivore grew tired and decided to hide in the undergrowth, hoping that the Giganotosaurus won't find him.

"Terry, you need to calm down!" Max shouted to his partner. He managed to spot the red theropod and crouched down to his level. "Terry?" He saw the t-rex shivering in fear.

"What's wrong?" He asked but the t-rex denied it. That's when Max had an idea. "You know this dinosaur, don't you?" Maybe this was what his nightmare was about.

Terry weakly nodded, not looking Max in the face due to feeling like a coward. Max could understand. After all, T-rexes might have been a dominant species but that didn't mean that other carnivores would try to take one on at times. And Terry was afraid.

"Look, Terry." Max started, sitting down. "I'm not saying that hiding is the answer but you can't live in fear forever. You need to confront it. I'm not entirely sure what your history is with the Giganotosaurus but our friends need us. So, what do you say?"

Terry finally gazed at Max. What he had said was true.

He's been fearing that Giganotosaurus all his life. All because he couldn't beat her. And while his defeat stung, he was being a coward and couldn't face her.

However, he's not the same t-rex from before -figuratively speaking-, he's mightier now and was willing to give it a shot. With a small but confident roar, Max got all the information he needed.

"Alright!" Max cheered, "Now let's go save that Giganotosaurus!" With the delcaration, the boy and his two dinos ran back into the fight.

DK

Back to the fight, Ace and Spiny weren't looking too well. Despite having the speed and power, both heroic theropods weren't making any progress with the Giganotosaurus. In fact, the female theropod looked fine despite their battle.

"Cyclone!" Rex said, slashing a Move Card.

A funnel of wind surrounded Ace before dashing head-on and bashed into the Giganotosaurus. However, it did not much like when Ace first used the move against Terry. The Giganotosaurus proceeded to ram Ace across the grassland.

"Tail Smash!" Zoe shouted, swiping her own Move Card.

Spiny spun around, using his tail to bat the giga before she lunged at Spiny, grabbing him by the neck and throwing him away. Both summoned dinosaurs hit the ground in pain, each letting out roars.

"Oh no, Ace!"

"Spiny!"

Their respective partners called out. Paris was frightened from the carnivore and hid behind Tank, who, given her size right now, was barking the best she could.

The Giganotosaurus approached both carnivores, who managed to rise to their feet although they were tired. The giga finished them off by kicking Spiny in the stomach and stomping down on Ace, resulting in their defeat and reverted back to their card form.

"We need to get them!" Zoe said and was about to run over when the Giganotosaurus spotted them.

"I don't like that look she's giving us." Rex admitted, becoming nervous. The largest theropod began to walk menacingly towards the kids with saliva dripping from her mouth.

Rex and Zoe were prepared to run when a voice shouted.

"Hey!"

Rex, Zoe, and even the Giganotosaurus looked to see Max with Terry and Chomp at his side, the t-rex glaring with intense fury.

"You mess with my friends, you mess with us!" Max declared and readied to fight.

"DINO SLASH! FLAME UP, TYRANNOSAURUS REX!"

Terry emerged and let out a proud roar. However, the Battlefield shifted to a craggy terrain with volcanoes in the background.

Rex and Zoe looked around, confused. "Hey, it's like before." Zoe noted, remembering the last time they were transported to the dinosaur age.

They didn't dwell on it too long because Terry began to square off with the Giganotosaurus. The wild theropod recognized Terry and snarled, letting out a warning grunt but Terry refused to step back.

He was done being afraid of her.

Terry charged in and rammed the giga headfirst, pushing her back. Terry was about to repeat the tactic but the Giganotosaurus sidestepped and used her jaws to bite down on his neck. The t-rex roared in pain until he kicked her off.

Seeing how her opponent was stronger than before, the Giganotosaurus started to glow red.

"Incoming Move Card!" Max warned.

The volcano in the background shot out several flaming meteors, causing them to rain across the Battlefield. Terry took cover as the meteors missed along with the D-Team.

"Couldn't she have a less destructive Move Card!?" Zoe cried out.

"Good thing we're here instead of Argentina!" Rex said, worried if the Move Card would have done serious damage with the local environment. Luckily, Rex and Zoe were able to retrieve Ace and Spiny.

Terry was too busy dodging to see the Giganotosaurus run over and snapped her jaws onto the t-rex. The tyrannosaur roared in pain before the carcharodontosaurid slammed him into the ground and dragged him along. The meteors stopped raining by then.

Terry managed to kick himself free before headbutting the Giganotosaurus off. She shook her head and grunted. Terry snapped back, latching his jaws onto her neck and threw her around somewhat.

Max quickly butted in the fight with a Move Card. "Neck Crusher!"

Terry released the giga before lifting her overhead and into the air. Spinning around, Terry struck the neck of the larger carnivore, sending her across the craggy terrain. But the Giganotosaurus managed to stand back up.

"Man, she's tough!" Max grunted and began to fiddle through some more Move Cards.

Terry was in the midst of another headlock with the Giganotosaurus, each theropod not giving in an edge.

The Giganotosaurus had to secretly admit that Terry had improved from his days entering her territory. But she wouldn't let him win.

"We need to end this fight now." Max declared. He pulled out some more Move Cards shifting through them as Terry started to lose ground in the headlock.

"Hurry, Max!" Rex and Zoe said, seeing Terry beginning to lose.

"Blue Volcano!" Max shouted and swiped the Move Card.

Terry found the strength and pushed the giga away. With his eyes ignited, Terry released blue fireballs.

The Giganotosaurus thought she would be crafty, avoiding a few at first but didn't realize the fireballs were controlled by her adversary. Terry swung his head around, hitting her flank before peppering his rival into submission. The final fireball took out the larger theropod, resulting in her defeat.

"Oh yeah!" The D-Team cheered as the Time Warp reversed itself. Max ran over to Terry who was tired from his fight. "Great work out there, Terry! You won!" He congratulated him.

Terry smiled the best he could and let out a proud roar across the grassland. He had finally gotten some closure about the Giganotosaurus.

"And now we can finally enjoy the sights for a while." Rex voiced making Max and Zoe nod in agreement.

DK

After their fight and some free time, the D-Team returned back to the D-Lab and had the Giganotosaurus, now named Pandora, separated for the time-being.

They waited a couple of hours before finally releasing her into the Sanctuary. When the gated off area opened, Pandora walked out, getting acquainted with her surroundings.

And right in front of her was Terry.

Pandora snarled, trying to intimidate the T-rex but the red theropod didn't waver in fear. She tried again only for Terry to snarl right back.

Behind him, Chomp, Ace, Paris, Spiny, and Tank stood behind him. Followed by Ember, Dozer, Dory, Rebel, Bolt, Pixel, and Littlefoot. From above, Sky, Wing, and Flap hovered.

Pandora counted the number of dinosaurs before her. While she could take them all on, they seemed to be rallied behind the main D-Team dinosaurs. The giga realized what had changed.

The t-rex was no longer a threat. In fact, he had allies and was not alone. Terry approached his rival, looking her dead in the eye. He let out a warning grunt and Pandora responded in kind.

After a few tense seconds, Pandora bowed her head, recognizing Terry as an Alpha.

The t-rex nodded in kind and the two rival dinos went their separate ways. The herd dispersed and walked away to their own leisures.

On the balcony, the D-Team were discussing the events.

"Do you think Terry knew Pandora?" Zoe questioned.

"It's possible." Dr. Taylor admitted, "Perhaps some of the dinosaurs that were turned to cards had grudges. A rivalry perhaps. Though maybe some were in good relations. Like Chomp and Bolt from what you told me."

"That was probably his nightmare last night." Max realized. "I didn't even think a T-rex would be afraid of anything."

"Well, they had competition." Rex recalled, thinking of other theropods that could present challenges for the 'tyrant lizard.' "But now, they have a mutual understanding."

The D-Team agreed with that statement and continued to watch the herd for the rest of the day.

"So glad we finally have new dinosaurs." Ursula said as she lounged in the cockpit. In her hands were cards of Fire, Lightning, Grass, and Water elements. Now they had a complete set of the six core elements.

"Yeah, and now we can return to Dr. Z with the good news." Zander commented, starting up the engine of the Alpha craft.

"I can imagine him rewarding us!" Ed happily said, thinking of the praise.

"Mmmhmm." Ursula and Zander agreed.

The Alpha Craft began to crackle with electricity and spurred, entering a wormhole and heading back to the present.

The Alpha Gang was back on the hunt.

Next time on Dinosaur King: Complete Collection:

Max: This doesn't prove my point, Dad.

Dr. Taylor: I intend to use it!

Ursula: Miss us, brats?

Max: No way! You aren't getting this dinosaur!

(An Edmontosaurus breaks into the clearing on a grassland)

(Ace, Paris, Spiny, and Tank battle the four of the new Alpha Gang dinosaurs)

(Chomp and Terry hit the ground as two of the Alpha Gang's dinosaurs let out triumphant roars)

A/N: Pandora's design is based on Dominion, not the canon design from Dinosaur King.

The opening of this chapter is from Dominion's prologue. I just changed Ankylosaurus to Euoplocephalus and three Oviraptors instead of one.

No dark backstory here, just Terry's fear taking over. Kinda like Drew's story with Tank and Blossom but that's more of a rivalry.

And the Alpha Gang finally have their new dinosaurs, something Dr. Z will be pleased with it. Who they are you'll have to wait and see.

Anonymous: The herd is on my profile already. As for those species, not entirely sure I will go that route.

EquestriamonWriter: Can't reveal. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.

Chompski: Your theory was incorrect as you can see. However, thank you for the compliment on the last chapter.

Drew: Thank you for the compliment.

Aerodactyl999: I'll think about those creatures. Possibly in the future.
