I don't not own anything related to Dinosaur King. Dinosaur King is owned by Sunrise, Shout Factory, and 4kidsTV.
At Yellowstone National Park, a family of four had taken a RV for the day. They were enjoying the scenery as the mom and dad took a fresh inhale before exhaling.
"I just love this place." The wife started. "I remember when my dad and I would come up here every summer. We would go hiking, enjoy the outdoors, go bird-watching, and much more in a week." Her husband kissed her cheek, making her flustered.
"And that's why I suggested this little trip." The man revealed. "I knew you couldn't resist it."
"Can we go now?" Their 10 year old son whined. He held up his phone, trying to get service.
"We just arrived, Philip." His mom reminded him. Both parents internally sighed as they knew their son wouldn't appreciate the fact he couldn't get cell service.
"And I would like to text my friends." Phillip remained. Their Great Dane, however, was completely energetic and ran about in the wide open space. The dog continued to frolic around, unintentionally unearthing a capsule. The Great Dane ran by again, this time opening the capsule. The card was activated due to the grass, meaning it was a Grass element.
A dark blue Edmontosaurus arose from a green glow and called out. The Great Dane stopped and barked at the dinosaur. The hadrosaur didn't take offense to it and wandered off into the forest.
The Great Dane continued to bark until he was called over by his owners. "Arnold! Here, Arnold!" The dog ceased his barking, leaving the wild dinosaur to roam in Yellowstone National Park, unbothered.

At Zeta Point, the Alpha Craft re-appeared and the hatch opened up.
The three lackeys hopped out and began kissing the floor.
"Home sweet home!" They said with anime tears.
"Oh, AC!" Ursula cried with tears of joy.
"Technology!" Zander cried as well.
"Decent food!" Ed let out with tears of joy.
The trio were about to sprint away from the craft before Dr. Z -at an inhuman speed- appeared right in front of them.
"Oh goodie. You're back!" The doctor said before getting rowdy, "WHERE ARE MY DINOSAURS!?"
The trio recoiled. Of course, Dr. Z cared more about the dinosaur cards than the well-being of his lackeys. Ursula revealed the six cards they had procured, prompting Dr. Z to swipe them.
"Oh! My precious babies~" He swooned over the cards, rubbing them against his cheek. "It's okay. Daddy's here."
Seth chose this moment to enter, not acknowledging the deranged future 'king's actions. "I see your mission was a success."
"Right you are!" Zander said and the A-trio stood up looking proud. Finally getting the recognition.
"Good." Seth said in his monotone voice. He looked and mentally grinned at his invention. 'It took only two jumps to get to the Jurassic and Cretaceous, but a better test drive nonetheless. Perhaps I should give it a few more tests in the meantime.'
"Hey, Grandpa!" Rod said, entering the room with Laura. "Another dinosaur has appeared."
"Oh! This is even better!" Dr. Z said, tears of joy running down his face. "Now that we have our own dinosaurs again, we can add to our collection! Ursula, Zander, Ed! Get to it!"
"Whaaaaaaaaa?!" The three appointed people whined. They had just gotten back and now already been sent back on missions?
"Don't you numbskulls complain!" Dr. Z barked. "Since you had a little field trip, we lost two more dinosaurs to those bratty kids! I managed to develop new Move Cards for our new ones to reclaim Terry, Spiny, and Tank. And even get those brats' dinos while you're at it!"

"And there we go!" Spike exclaimed as he managed to get his dinosaur-themed tent set up. To a degree at least. While he was camping in the backyard to prove to Max and Rex he was intending to use the dinosaur-based merchandise.
"Dad, this doesn't prove my point." Max admitted as Chomp and Terry chased each other. "We should be doing it in the wilderness and not the backyard."
"Hey, I say I intend to use it and I do!" Spike responded. "After all, a paleontologist should also use dinosaur based equipment!"
Max sighed as Rex found the statement absurd. "I would think the equipment best suited for the job. Not because of your profession." The blonde said.
The two boys left Dr. Taylor to his interest. "Do you think he tends to buy too much dinosaur merchandise?" Max wondered aloud.
"Well, it's not like you're any better." Rex reminded him.
"What do you mean?" Max asked.
"May I remind you of all those video games you have but never played?" Rex recalled.
"Ok, ok." Max relented, "So I have a small spending problem too."
"Small doesn't qualify." Rex muttered under his breath. With all the dinosaur merchandise and video games the two Taylor men have, it's a miracle that the house wasn't overflowing with clutter.
Soon the blinking from the Dino Holder was heard. "Another dinosaur!" The boys exclaimed and headed to the D-Lab.

The D-Team met up and Reese provided context on their location.
Zooming in on the location, Reese managed to deduce where the dinosaur was. "It appears to be in Wyoming."
"Well, let's not waste anymore time." Max declared and the kids warped to the location.
Reese began to type away when Spike entered. "Hey, Reese! Have you seen the kids?"
"You just missed them." Reese replied, not looking at the paleontologist.
"Well, I was going to show them this sale going on for dinosaur-themed objects. I plan to buy some!" Spike proudly said. And with that he left.
"Mmm hmm." Reese said, barely acknowledging whatever shenanigans Dr. Taylor would get into.

In the sky, a new Alpha Craft had made it to Yellowstone. But the trio wasn't too thrilled.
"I can't believe that we are already going on missions again!" Ursula huffed.
"Well, can you blame him, Ursula?" Ed admitted, "I mean we did just get new dinosaurs and we are behind the kids now."
"Well, it's ridiculous." Ursula growled. "I say we deserve some downtime before heading back into the field. Doing all the hard work. It's tiring for a woman like me.
'Oh sure. You do all the work.' Zander and Ed thought. If anything, they've been doing most of the work.
From their little subway trip for Dozer, spending their tickets to get a cheaper flight, to rowing the boat to South America and stripping them in their bare undies in Monaco. Despite getting new dinosaurs, thanks to their combined effort, the two boys were getting annoyed by her.
Zander saw a dot on their radar and announced, "Looks like our target is in range."
"Then let's land this bad boy, snag the dinosaur, and head back home." Ursula insisted.
"Well, it appears to be in the forest. So we can't exactly touch down." Zander revealed, much to Ursula's annoyance.
"Then flatten it. Who cares about some trees anyway?" Ursula said.
"Well, tree huggers for one-" Ed started.
"I wasn't asking!" She barked. "Forget it, find some ground and then we begin on foot. I can practically feel whatever card it is in our hands already." She greedily said.

Once the D-Team arrived, they looked at their surroundings. "A forest?" Zoe said.
"Actually, I think we're in Yellowstone National Park." Rex deduced.
"How can you tell?" Max asked.
"Because there's a sign." Rex pointed out. There was indeed a sign stating they were on trail in Yellowstone National Park.
"Far point." Zoe admitted.
"Let's try to take the trail. It would be easier for us to find the dinosaur." Max suggested. The D-Team agreed, walking up to the sign and seeing the map.
"Ok, since we are here… We need to go…" Max said, trying to read the map and his Dino Holder at the same time.
"I think we should take this way." Rex pointed west.
"No, this way." Zoe argued, pointing east.
"You're both wrong," Max insisted, "We had this way!" He declared, pointing south.
Seeing as they were in different directions, the kids began to start arguing how each one is handled. The partners just stood there in silence before idly minding their own business.
"Ugh! This is so boring!" A voice yelled out. Chomp, Ace, and Spiny heard it and ran over to it.
The shout belonged to Philip who was rather sore, tired, and bored. Not to mention hungry. To emphasize that point, his stomach growled. "Why did I decide to go on a nature walk on my own?" He grumbled. Philip pulled out an oat energy bar, which made him disgusted. He was not a fan of nature bars.
However, Chomp, Ace, and Spiny had run over and found Philip, who was in the midst of deciding if eating it was necessary.
The three dinos yipped, causing the ten year-old to stop and look at the three dinosaurs. He was momentarily confused by the three.
"... Huh, those are some odd lizards…" He said after a moment of stunned silence. Chomp leapt up, snagging the nature bar out of Philip's hands and began to chew on it. Ace and Spiny tried to get a piece themselves soon after.
"Hey!" Philip exclaimed.
"Chomp!"
"Ace!"
"Spiny!"
The D-Team came running and found the three dinosaurs gorging on the energy bar. "That doesn't belong to you three." Max lightly scolded.
"Meh, it's whatever." Philip dismissed, "Not really a fan of energy bars anyway."
"Are you sure?" Rex asked. "Because-"
"Really, it's not." Philip interrupted. "I don't really care much for the outdoors anyway."
"Then why are you here?" Zoe questioned.
"Because it's my parents' anniversary and they decided to take us to this place." Philip said with subtle distaste.
"The wilderness isn't all bad." Max defended.
"I have no WiFi, thousands of miles from a decent restroom or fast food joint, have to walk almost everywhere, my feet are sore, and there are so many insects." Philip ranted. "The wilderness is bad."
The D-Team sweat dropped at that claim. "I'm sure there's something you can enjoy about nature." Rex suggested.
"I doubt that." Philip replied, folding his arms.
"Is that a challenge?" Max asked.
"If you can convince me that nature has some 'benefits.'" Philip quoted.
"Challenge accepted!" Max took up. "I'm Max, by the way. This is Rex and Zoe."
"Philip." The bored boy introduced himself.
Max took liberty in the chance of adventure in the wild.
Rex explained some birds that are rare to find in the city.
Zoe attempted to show the life cycle of plants and flowers that make up the forest.
All which didn't convince Philip to appreciate nature.
Seeing as this method was working, the D-Team and Philip were taking a break at a rest stop.
"All of those things sound boring." Philip bluntly said, "If I wanted an adventure, I can just play a video game. I can find exotic birds at a zoo. And I learn about the lifecycle in school. Anything else you want to try?"
"At this point, it would take a miracle." Max muttered.
Getting no verbal response, Philip spoke his mind. "Ok then. Now about you three."
"What about us?" Rex asked.
"Why are you here? Were you dragged here for a vacation or…?" Philip elaborated.
"Oh, yes! For vacation!" Zoe quickly said.
"Ok… And why do your dogs look like dinosaurs?" Philip challenged.
"Um, there an exotic breed from where we come from!" Rex lied.
Philip narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
Of course, he couldn't dwell on that too long as Chomp, Ace, and Terry began to chase a butterfly. The three started to run amuck and leave the rest stop. "Chomp! Terry! Get back here!" Max called out. He began chasing them, along with Rex, Zoe, and Philip -who wanted to know more about the three and their 'dogs.'
Suddenly they came across a quiet lake. And for the first time, Philip was blown away.
"Wow…" He let out, seeing the tranquility of the landscape. He never thought nature could be so calm and peaceful.
Noticing the look of awe on his face, Max said, "See? What did we tell you? The wilderness isn't boring. It's breathtaking."
Chomp and Terry continued to chase the butterfly in the lake. Ace came to a stop due to his fear of water.
However, the small carnosaur noticed a shade of dark blue near the waterfall. He growled, causing the kids to look over.
"What is it, Ace?" Rex asked his partner. Looking over, he saw the Edmontosaurus resting near the waterfall. This caused the kids to step back in shock.
"The dinosaur!" The D-Team exclaimed as Philip almost fainted at the sight of the hadrosaur.

Arriving at the Mega Mall, Dr. Taylor was browsing through a store for some dinosaur-themed merchandise.
"Oh, this would be nice! No, wait this is! Err, maybe that one?" Dr. Taylor said to himself as he tried to choose something dinosaur related. "You know what? I'll just take it all!"
Soon, he had a shopping cart full of dinosaur merchandise. Ranging from kitchen equipment, bathroom towels, to plushes, posters, and picture frames.
"Hehehehehe! And the boys said I had impulse purchase."
However, there was a slight problem.
"WHAT?!" Dr. Taylor shouted to the top of lungs, causing everyone in the mall to look at him.
"I'm sorry, Sir. It says you only get 50% off ONE dinosaur-themed merchandise." The cashier exclaimed.
"GAH!" The paleontologist said and sunk to the ground in despair. "So… I can purchase one item?"
"That is correct, Sir."
Dr. Taylor began to sweat as he didn't know which item to get. 'Maybe the T-rex cups? No, the Brontosaurus ladle! Oh, how about the Triceratops forks! No, the Stegosaurus towels!' He thought rapidly trying to decide what merchandise he should get.

"An Edmontosaurus!" Max identified.
"A dinosaur!?" Philip exclaimed, not expecting to see something like this today. "Aren't they extinct?!"
"Well…" The D-Team trailed off, unsure how to explain the appearance of the hadrosaur.
"Right you are!" A familiar voice acknowledged.
The D-Team went rigid as they saw the Alpha Gang at the top of the waterfall. "Miss us, brats?" Ursula mocked.
"The old lady!" Max pointed at the appearance of their enemy.
"Even after our trip, you still can't get my age right!" Ursula barked, losing their dramatic appeal.
"What are you, creeps doing here? Shouldn't you three just give up?" Zoe taunted.
"Those words aren't in our vocabulary!" Zander snapped back.
"Well, then you should learn it!" Rex snapped.
"Oh trust me, we will," Ursula reassured them, "Right after we get our dinosaurs back!"
"So they are dinosaurs!" Philip exclaimed, looking down at the partners.
"Terry, Spiny, and Tank aren't going with you anywhere!" Max retorted. The three dinos roared in agreement, liking the D-Team far better than the Alpha Gang.
"You would think they miss us a little." Ed murmured.
"You probably brainwashed them!" Zander accused.
"That's rich coming from you!" Zoe yelled.
Philip just watched the banter go back and forth. "I assume you all know each other?"
"More than we would like." Rex admitted.
"A bunch of creeps who can't take a hint." Max growled.
"Errggh!" Ursula growled, "Enough back talk! Thanks for babysitting our dinosaurs but it's time to bring them back! Boys?"
Ed and Zander pulled out Alpha Scanners, both men wearing smiles as they had two cards each.
"ALPHA SLASH!"
"GIVE THEM 'EM A SHOCK, TITANOCERATOPS!"
In a yellow dimension, a silhouette of a chibi ceratopsian is seen before spinning in the air. Electricity allowed his legs to grow before reaching his horns. Yellow flashed from his eyes before he reared up and roared.
"RIDE THE TIDE, NEMEGTOSAURUS!"
In a blue dimension, a silhouette of a smaller sauropod is seen before spinning in the air. Water caused his legs to extend before his neck grew in the process. After bubbles burst from his eyes, the sauropod reared up and roared.
"SPEED UP, SINRAPTOR!"
In a white dimension, a smaller theropod spun around. Wind blustered from her legs before working its way down her spine to her head. White flashed from her eyes before she spun around and growled.
"WRECKING TIME, HUAYANGOSAURUS!"
In a purple dimension, a smaller stegosaur spun around. Rocks formed on his legs, causing them to grow before they worked up his plates and thagomizers. Purple flashed from his eyes and the stegosaur whipped his tail around, shaking it in defense.
Once the four dinosaurs emerged, they glared down at their adversaries as a Battlefield was formed.
"What the heck?!" Philip yelled.
The D-Team gasped at the new dinosaurs. "How?" Rex questioned.
"We have all the Stones!" Zoe shouted.
"And where did those new dinosaurs come from?!" Max demanded.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Ursula taunted.
"Well, yeah. They are asking." Ed said, unaware of the taunt.
"I was taunting them!" Ursula barked, hitting the back of his head. "As if we would give up the Alpha Gang secrets."
The new Alpha Gang dinosaurs approached the Edmontosaurus, who began to grow wearily.
"Kronos, Bruce, Artemis, Huey. Take down the dinosaur then crush those brats!" Ursula ordered.
Artemis the Sinraptor lunged first, biting onto the neck of the hadrosaur. Bruce the Nemegtosaurus struck next, throwing his neck into the side just as Artemis jumped off. The Edmontosaurus skidded across the ground just as Kronos the Titanoceratops and Huey the Huayangosaurus began to beat him down with their horns and thagomizers, respectively.
"That's… so cruel." Philip whispered in shock. Like before, he could never had thought nature could be so ruthless.
"And what's worse, they'll use the Edmontosaurus for their own gains." Max growled out.
Terry, Spiny, and Tank growled at the abuse. After spending time with the D-Team, they were glad to escape their former owners.
"And we won't let them do that!" Rex declared. "Zoe, let's go!"
"Right!"
"Max, once we get the Alpha Gang off the Edmontosaurus, he'll run. Chase him down, got it?" Rex explained.
"You got it, Rex!" Max agreed. Rex and Zoe activated their Dino Holders, ready to summon.
"DINO SLASH! CARNOTAURUS, BLOW THEM AWAY! SHAKE 'EM UP, SAICHANIA!"
"DINO SLASH! PARASAUROLOPHUS, BLOOM! GUSH OUT, SPINOSAURUS!"
The four dinos bellowed and charged headfirst.
Ace rammed into Artemis, Paris disoriented Bruce with her soundwaves, Spiny bit down on Kronos' exposed area and threw him, while Tank tackled Huey into the ground.
With his tormentors occupied, the Edmontosaurus got up and fled the scene.
"Philip, this way!" Max called over and ran with the bystander after the wild dinosaur.
Above the waterfall, the Alpha Gang watched their target flee. "Um, Ursula, the Edmontosaurus is getting away." Ed meekly said.
"Gee, thanks Captain Obvious." Ursula dryly said before taking command once more. "You two are going to stay here, retrieve Spiny and Tank, while I'll get the Edmontosaurus and Terry. Got it?"
"Yes, ma'am!" The two boys saluted.
"And don't forget about the new Move Cards Dr. Z provided for us." Ursula reminded them before she took off.
Ace rammed his head into Artemis, but the golden-black theropod avoided it and swung her tail, hitting the carnosaur's flank. Ace jumped back, avoiding the snapping jaws of Artemis until he landed a backflip kick, knocking her to the ground.
Paris charged into Bruce's stomach, pushing the sauropod a short distance. The Nemegtosaurus brought his tail around, slamming it into the hadrosaur's face. Paris is briefly disoriented but avoids a charging Bruce. The sauropod misses, leaving him open to Paris' charge.
Spiny managed to dodge Kronos' attack by sidestepping. The spinosaurid bit down on the tail of the ceratopsian but the Titanoceratps kicked Spiny with his back legs. Spiny managed to recover in time and used his tail to knock Kronos off balance.
Tank carefully avoided Huey's thagomizers as the stegosaur continued to advance. However, the ankylosaur blocked one strike with her armor, knocking him off balance before being rammed by her.
"Why wait when we can do it right now?" Zander cheekily said. Ed grinned and pulled out two of his Move Cards.
"Alright, taste Plate Pursuit!" Ed shouted, swiping an Earth Move Card.
Huey glowed purple as his plates and thagomizers turned the same color. From his plates, several energy-like plates rocketed towards Tank. Tank saw this and tried to run but the plates pursued her until they struck her nonstop.
"Soaring Fang!" Ed shouted again, swiping a Wind Move Card this time.
Artemis was encompassed in a white outline before she roared. Taking off at supersonic speeds, she bites down on Ace's neck and brings him along at the same speed. Shortly afterwards, she releases Ace and sends him into several trees, breaking them.
"Geyser Rush!" Zander called out, swiping a Water Move Card.
Bruce bellows, causing a spout of water to appear beneath Paris. The hadrosaur is trapped in the geyser before Bruce comes charging in and delivers a strong strike into the afloat Paris. The ornithopod is sent to the ground, crying out in pain.
"Storm Thrust!" Zander finished, swiping a Lightning Move Card.
Outlined in yellow, Kronos grunted then ran towards Spiny. Instead of a headlong charge, Kronos jumped into the air, reaching the clouds which had turned black. The Titanoceratops descends, imbued with lightning and crashes directly onto Spiny, who is shocked into submission.
"Ace! Tank!"
"Paris! Spiny!"
Rex and Zoe called out to their dinos in peril. Luckily their dinosaurs were able to stand once more, but these new dinosaurs were clearly nothing to be trifled with.
DK
Running away from the fight, the Edmontosaurus hurried his pace, feeling rather pressured. The duck-billed dinosaur escaped the forest and ran across the grasslands.
Max, his partners, and Phillip were hot on the trail, the brunette explaining everything to their new friend.
"So you three just travel the world and save dinosaurs?!" Philip exclaimed.
"Well, that's pretty much it," Max exclaimed, "But don't tell anyone."
"How am I supposed to do that?! This is huge!" Philip emphasized.
"Would anyone even believe you?" Max challenged.
Philip was about to retort but he failed. True, no one would believe him about dinosaur cards, except thinking its a worldwide trade.
The two boys eventually managed to spot the Edmontosaurus. "So how are you supposed to capture that dino?" Philip said.
"With the help of my own." Max said, prepping Chomp and Terry. He was about to slash the cards when Ursula appeared.
"Oh no, you don't!" The greenette snarled. "That dino is property of the Alpha Gang!"
"Zip it, old lady!" Philip shot back which infuriated her.
"What did you call me, you little ankle-biter!? Hasn't anyone told you to respect your eld-I mean women!" Ursula corrected herself at the last minute.
"I'm sure you are at least in your forties." Philip defended himself.
"That's not how old-" Ursula took a few deep breaths and composed herself. "You know what, forget that! I'll be taking the Edmontosaurus, Terry, and your little Triceratops!"
"No way! You aren't getting this dinosaur!" Max defended. "Neither Terry for that matter!" Terry growled in agreement.
"Oh please," Ursula waved off, "It's not like we replaced him. He's a dinosaur. They don't have feelings."
Max growled at that, "And you hardly showed him kindness! All you did was use him for your personal gain!"
"Oh boo-hoo." Ursula mocked, "If anything he needs a proper education and the language of-" She pulled out her Alpha Scanner and shouted.
"ALPHA SLASH!"
"BURN 'EM DOWN, TYRANNOTITAN!"
A chibi-sized theropod spun around in a red dimension. Fire erupted, causing his legs and tails to grow. Opening his mouth, the fire morphed it into a terrifying appearance then blazed from his eyes. Swinging his head around, the theropod roared to signal his completed transformation.
"TIME TO SPROUT, OURANOSAURUS!"
A smaller hadrosaur spun around in a green dimension. Grass sprouted from her hindlegs first then her forelimbs and finally her sail. Green energy gleamed from her eyes before she reared up and posed.
Both dinosaurs appeared and roared.
"A Tyrannotitan and an Ouranosaurus?!" Max identified in shock. "Just where did you get those dinosaurs?!"
"Not telling~" Ursula cheekily said before commanding, "Hades! Gaia! Take down that Edmontosaurus!"
Hades the Tyrannotitan and Gaia the Ouranosaurus ran towards the blue hadrosaur, knocking him down in the process.
Hades chomped on the neck while Gaia slammed her forelimbs into the Edmontosaurus.
"Oh no!" Max exclaimed before taking action.
"DINO SLASH! FLAME UP, TYRANNOSAURUS REX! TRICERATOPS, ROAR!"
Terry and Chomp wasted no time at being summoned and went to engage.
Chomp lunged at Hades, getting the Tyrannotitan off the Edmontosaurus, while Terry bashed his head into Gaia's side.
The two new Alpha Gang dinosaurs regrouped and bellowed at their opponents. Terry and Chomp snorted and prepared to defend the Edmontosaurus.
However, the Edmontosaurus began to go on a rampage, knocking his supposed 'allies' out of the way and reared up, madly.
"He's out of control!" Max exclaimed. He knew that if the Edmontosaurus continued his rampage, he could end up getting hurt or worse: being defeated by the Alpha Gang.
DK
Rex and Zoe watched as their dinosaurs fared against the new Alpha Gang dinos. The new Move Cards had worn them down, but they began to struggle against their new opponents.
Ace swooped in, biting onto Artemis' neck. But the Sinraptor kicked him off before pouncing onto the Carnotaurus.
Paris rammed Bruce in the stomach only for her to receive a neck strike by the Nemegtosaurus, resulting in the Parasaurolophus getting slammed into a tree.
Tank and Huey were in a tail-lock, both Earth dinosaurus trying to get the upper hand or tail in this case. Soon, the Huayangosaurus won and used his tail to hit the Saichania away.
Spiny struggled to get a decent attack on Kronos now. The Titanoceratops used his horns to keep the Spinosaurus at bay then struck the stomach of the gray theropod.
"This is getting nowhere," Rex realized, sweating. "I hate to say it but their new dinosaurs are tough."
"And those Move Cards packed a punch." Zoe commented, also sweating lightly.
"We're going to win! We're going to win!" Ed and Zander cheered as they celebrated early.
"We have to do something," Rex said, picking through his set of Wind and Earth cards. Zoe nodded and began shifting through her deck.
The Alpha Gang's new dinosaurs had knocked all the D-Team's dinosaurs down, slowly advancing.
"I got them!" Rex quickly said, seeing the situation.
"So do I!" Zoe added.
"Let's do it!" They both said and swiped their Move Cards.
"Earthquake!" Tank reared up on her hind legs and roared before slamming to the ground. A purple shockwave was released before a fissure opened up. Huey panicked and fell into the fissure which began to close on the stegosaur. Once it did, Huey roared in pain before returning to his card.
"Bermuda Sail!" Spiny roared, his sail taking a blue glow. A triangular blast of water is released from his mouth which hits Kronos, resulting in the ceratopsian being carded.
"Leaf Blades!" Paris reared up and brought her forelimbs down, sending various leaves towards Bruce, who was scratched by them. The assortment continued, resulting in the defeat of the sauropod.
"Biting Wind!" A tornado came down and separated into smaller ones as Ace was covered in a blue fire. With a roar of his own, blades of air came out and struck Artemis nonstop until she reverted back to her card.
"Quick!" Rex shouted and ran to get the cards but Ed used the grappling claw to retrieve them all.
"Not this time!" Zander smugly said. "You may have won this round, but we'll be back!"
"Later!" The men said and ran off.
"Darn it!" Rex silently cursed.
"Rex, look!" Zoe pointed to the Battlefield. "Max must be battling the Edmontosaurus!"
"Or… the Alpha Gang have more dinosaurs at their disposal." Rex grimly thought aloud. The two returned their dinosaurs for some rest and ran towards the direction the hadrosaur ran off in.
DK
Hades had Chomp by the horns and threw him out of the way just as Gaia slapped Terry across the face with her tail.
With the two infamous dinosaurs out of the way, Gaia rammed into the Edmontosaurus as Hades stomped his foot into the wild dino. The 'lizard of Edmonton' was eventually defeated by Hades' relentless pounding.
"Victory!" Ursula cheered. She hurried to grab the card but Max managed to snag it.
"Nice try, old lady!" Max taunted, holding the card.
"Errrrrr!" Ursula growled, "Hades, Gaia! Crush the brat!" She ordered.
The Tyrannotitan and Ouranosaurus obeyed and started to stalk the boy. However, a combined effort of Chomp and Terry knocked the two new Alpha dinosaurs away. The t-rex and trike snorted as they dared their newfound adversaries to lay a claw on Max.
"Alright, I think it's time we finish this!" Max declared and pulled out two Move Cards.
"Go, Lightning Spear!" Covered in electricity, Chomp charged directly into Hades, lifting the two of them up. Chomp impaled Hades with an electric-crafted spear, causing the Tyrannotitan to roar in pain. Chomp landed, shortly before Hades did with a thud.
"And Blazing Spin Attack!" Terry set his mouth ablaze that briefly blinded Gaia, before he chomped on her neck and began to spin her around several times. Once he threw Gaia, the Ouranosaurus hit the ground next to Hades. The two were carded at the same time.
"Way to go!" Max cheered. Terry and Chomp roared victoriously.
"That was so cool!" Philip exclaimed.
"NOOOOO!" Ursula weeped as she retrieved the cards. "That wasn't supposed to happen. Come on, Terry! You have to miss me a little, don't you?"
The T-rex growled and roared in defiance.
Ursula flinched as Ed and Zander came running out. "Ursula, please tell us you have the card." The men begged.
"No, the ankle-biter snagged it before I could even get to it." Ursula growled. "But I got Hades and Gaia right here."
"Oh, good. We have Bruce, Huey, Artemis, and Kronos with us." Ed said, "That's the bright side of this mission." He proudly stated.
"It doesn't change the fact that we lost a new dinosaur when we have new dinosaurs ourselves!" Ursula barked at the portly man.
"Maybe we should flee." Zander suggested.
"Why is that?" Ursula asked and saw what Zander meant.
Terry and Chomp had approached them and the trio shrank in fear.
"Toodles!" They said and sprinted away.
"That was incredible!" Philip said, running over to Max and his dinosaurs. "Can all dinosaurs do that?"
"Well, we don't know if all dinosaurs can do that." Max sheepishly said. Rex and Zoe came running out.
"Max, did you-" Rex started but Max flashed the Edmontosaurus card, reassuring his friends. "Good job." The blonde said with relief.
"So, what do you think about nature now?" Zoe asked Philip.
Philip thought for a second before saying, "I guess… nature isn't all that boring. It can be serene, cruel, epic, and extraordinary. Guess you guys were right."
The D-Team smiled at the revelation, glad they changed the views of the indoors boy.
DK
Once the D-Team got back to the D-Lab, they introduced Duke the Edmontosaurus into the herd. The dark blue hadrosaur himself was currently browsing on some ferns.
Meanwhile, Max, Rex, and Zoe were discussing their battles with the Alpha Gang today.
"So now they have a Titanoceratops, a Tyrannotitan, an Ouranosaurus, a Sinraptor, a Nemegtosaurus, and a Huayangosaurus." Max listed.
"And can summon them even without the Stones." Rex added.
"Along with new Move Cards." Zoe finished.
The revelation made the D-Team frown. "Just when we thought the Alpha Gang was out of the game." Zoe muttered.
"And now they're packing a punch." Rex mentioned.
"So, what are we just going to sit back and let the Alpha Gang win? No!" Max declared. "We'll do it the way we have been doing it. By fighting to protect the dinosaurs."
Rex and Zoe shared a look before nodding with determination. "We still haven't gone through the entire Cardfolio yet." Rex mentioned, "About three sets left."
"That should give us an edge." Zoe deduced.
At that moment, a beaming Dr. Taylor entered as he had a bag from the Mega Mall.
"Hey, Dad." Max greeted, "What's in the bag?"
"Something I got at the Mega Mall!" Dr. Taylor said, eagerly.
"Is it more pointless spending?" Rex deadpanned along with Max.
"Nope! This was a well-spent purchase!" Dr. Taylor rebuffed and presented them with a dinosaur-themed picture frame.
Max and Rex looked at each other then shrugged. "I suppose it's not pointless spending." Max was inclined to agree.
"And I'll put one of your baby pictures in there!" Dr. Taylor proudly said.
"Daddddd!" Max whined as Rex and Zoe snickered to themselves.
DK
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Dr. Z screamed to the top of his lungs and directly at the A-trio.
"Let me get this straight: so our previous dinosaurs actually listened to the kids, you failed to retrieve the card, and our new dinosaurs were beaten by the brats' dinos. Is that right?" Dr. Z recapped with lightning rods in his hands.
Ed and Zander hid behind Ursula. The 'old lady' tried to disallude any possible negative reactions. "Well, look on the positive side." She shakily said.
"What would that be." Dr. Z demanded with anger as the lightning rods reached full charge.
"We kept the cards this time?" She answered, still nervous.
Dr. Z stopped for a moment and stroked his beard. "I suppose that is a good point." But his expression swapped to furious again. "But that doesn't excuse you for your failure! HI-YAH!"
The A-trio was shocked into oblivion before becoming a smoldering bunch. "That's something we didn't miss." Ursula squeaked out before falling to the ground, along with Ed and Zander.
"Now that's a good stress reliever." Dr. Z said, now calmed down as the pain he delivered to his lackeys cooled him off. "Now then, as successful as my Move Cards have been, there needs to be more!" He trotted off to continue his inventions with mischievous intentions.
Elsewhere in Zeta Point, Seth was hard at work on the Alpha Craft, having a smile of his own.
Next time on Dinosaur King: The Complete Collection
Spike: We call this theory…
Dr. Owen: 'Brother in Horns!'
Tourist: It's Zeus reincarnated!
Ursula: How about you choose your real friend?!
(An Einiosaurus looks between Chomp and Kronos duking it out)
A/N: And the sixth chapter is done! Hope you enjoyed it.
The Alpha Gang's dinosaurs have been revealed: Hades the Tyrannotitan, Kronos the Titanoceratops, Artemis the Sinraptor, Bruce the Nemegtosaurus, Gaia the Ouranosaurus, and Huey the Huayangosaurus.
The Edmontosaurus has a canon design but I went with the 'Walking with Dinosaurs 3D' design just changed the color to dark blue. Didn't know that until I wrote this chapter. Live and learn.
Chose Yellowstone National Park because I figured it would be a good place for a dinosaur to spawn. Specifically a Grass element.
Like in my 'Paleontology Unearthed,' Leaf Blades is a canon move from the DS version.
Bermuda Sail, Soaring Fang, Plate Pursuit, Geyser Rush, Storm Thrust are all my original ideas.
Soaring Fang: the Wind element verison of Burning Dash, only the user brings their opponent at Mach speed before throwing them away.
Plate Pursuit: like Spike Arrows in a way, only the fact is the entire body releases projectiles in the form of plates.
Geyser Rush: the user roars, causing a geyser to erupt underneath the opponent and traps them before the user rams into them.
Storm Thrust: the user leaps into the air, through storm clouds before rocketing down covered in electricity and strikes the opponent, typically burying them.
Until next time.
