Family Ties

Kal and Diana were a little antagonistic toward each other, but there were moments when guards were let down if only for a moment. There had to be a deeper reasoning behind their quarrel other than Kal being an over protect cousin.

Bold-Clark's thoughts

Italics- Diana's thoughts

Themyscira

They took her from me. These aren't some strangers that took action against me. These are friends. allies.

He's disappointed and angry, I know. But he wouldn't listen to reason. He never listens. Action had to be taken. He doesn't trust me nor my judgement but I know this is right.

Kara Zor-El, Kal-El's cousin landed on earth a few days ago. Of course Batman had his reservations. Wonder Woman wanted nothing more than to help. But Kal didn't see it that way.

"You have to understand, this is for your own good!"

"What...what's going on here?!" Kal stood there stunned. "You?!"

"I'm taking this girl...and you will not stop me!"

Kal was still visibly upset about how Diana and the Amazons ambushed him and Kara at the Metropolis Park taking her like a prisoner.

I've been told she's made friends.

Of course I was going to take care of her for him. Why couldn't he see and understand that?

It was a drastic move I don't understand. Diana would never go behind my back so why?

He watched still uneasy as Kara was training with Artemis.

Kara fell the the ground. At times was ready to strike.

"And now, little one, prepare to-"

"NO!" Kal rushed toward Artemis grabbing her by her neck. "Don't. Touch. Her."

"Kal! Stop it!" Kara yelled.

Family means everything to me. Kara is my cousin. I have to protect her at all costs.

Suddenly, Kal felt a rope tie around his neck.

"Have you lost your mind?! Artemis's sword would've shattered on impact!"

Kal looked out from the corner of his eye to see Diana with the lasso. He let go of Artemis turning around with a grim look on his face.

"You have a problem with someone on this island, you come to me!"

"That's fine, Diana, since the person I'm having the problem with is you!" He snapped snatching the lasso from around his neck.

Diana glared at him and stepped closer. "Then don't take it out on Artemis or anyone else here for that matter."

He has a problem with me? What happened to us, Kal? Why are you so angry with me?

What happened to us, Diana? We can't seem to agree on anything. We can't seem to be in the same room together anymore without arguing...without so many things unsaid which leads to us arguing.

"I didn't realize Superman had such a hair trigger temper, Kara."

"He's...just a little over protective of me, Lyla."

"A little...?" Another amazon questioned.

Kara was disappointed and a bit embarrassed for his reaction.

"You asked me out here and told me to keep an open mind. I have. Kara's coming home with me now."

"Where? Back to the Fortress where the only contact she can have is with your dog? Or were you planning on having her move into the apartment?"

"She was sent to earth. Specifically to me. You've got her out here, training her for battle when she's got enough power to take on the entire island."

Diana narrowed her eyes at him. She couldn't believe how thick headed and arrogant he was being.

"Having power and knowing how to use it aren't the same thing. You know that better than anyone! Why don't you step back and look at the bigger picture—"

"Hey, can I say something?" Kara spoke up asking.

Kal and Diana looked at her.

"Not that I mind you talking about me like I'm not here...well actually I do...shouldn't I have something to say about where I'm going to live?"

Kal look down. He knew Kara was safe on the island. He knew she was happy. But why wouldn't he just let go...at least a little bit?

Diana glanced at Kal. There he goes again being stubborn acting like only he knows best.

You really don't trust me anymore, Kal?

"Kara, why don't you go off with your friends until dinner?"

"Getting rid of me so the adults can talk?"

"Something like that."

Kara sighed. "Fine."

She flew off with Lyla.

"What do you think they are talking about?"

"What else? Deciding what my future shall be."

"Kara, when I first came here I was lost. Being able to see...the pasts...futures...and not knowing what to do about my own life. A harbinger for everyone but myself. Diana took me in without hesitation. If you need someone to turn to, you can trust her."

Kara sighed. "While Diana's way of getting me here was a shock, I now understand why she did it. My cousin is being very antagonistic. They are being antagonistic toward each other but yet, Diana still wants to help me...help us...him. I can see it in her eyes...she cares. Why can't Kal see? Why are they so much at odds?""

"The simple answer to your question is that they are in love."

"What?!"

"Your cousin and the Princess have been afraid of their true feelings toward each other for years. They remained friends but we all knew there was more when he visited or when she talked about him. But all of a sudden Kal stopped visiting and the Princess stopped talking about him. When ever he was brought up, the Princess started acting different. Sadness feeling. All they do is argue now over little things. It's really complicated between them but love is complicated."

Kara was shocked. "I can't believe it. I mean I knew something was odd but didn't think it was because of deep feelings like that. And now I'm stuck in the middle...great."

"It's going to be okay," Lyla smiled.

"For what it's worth, Lyla, you and the others have made me welcome here. To come all the way across the galaxy and find someone like you...I think we are going to be friends for a long time." Kara smiled and embraced Lyla.

"Thank you, Kara. You have no idea how much that means to me."

Meanwhile

I see the way you look at me. Why don't you just say whatever it is you want to say?

She knows. I could never hide anything from her.

BOOM

A horrific roar came ahead.

"Is that...?!"

Doomsday. The abomination that killed me. Luthor had given him to Darkseid. Now via boom tube, Darkseid had brought him back from Apocalypse.

"Protect Kara. I'll handle this."

And let you die again? Like hell I am!

"Wait...the tube. It isn't closing."

"Darkseid replicated the monster."

"Then we draw a line in the sand and hold them here!" Diana yelled.

It was Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and the Amazons against the Doomsday replicas.

Despite all that has been said today, Diana puts her life in jeopardy without a second thought. She has always been there for me, help me through the toughest of times. And-

Superman is knocked across the battlefield.

You weren't paying attention. Your mind is so preoccupied. I taught you better than that. Listen to me, Kal. I'm right here for you, no matter what.

"I'll go-"

"No," Batman said. "You're needed here on the battlefield."

Diana glared.

Kal needs me. I'll make my way to him.

"Come then, behemoth! Today is a good day as any to die," Artemis said.

Suddenly, she felt a gust of wind.

"No one dies if I can help it."

Kal swooped in punching the explicate doomsday. He couldn't look Artemis directly in the eye. He was too ashamed.

"Artemis...about...earlier..."

She understood. "You have nothing to apologize for. You were protecting your own."

Diana stared at Kal.

You're not the same. This isn't the man I knew...I know. What's wrong with you, Kal. It's so much deeper than this situation.

"Are you okay? Whatever these things are they've got to be stopped."

"Diana." He paused contemplating for a moment. "Pull your army back."

Don't do anything stupid, Kal.

"This ends now!"

When Diana and the Amazons retreated, Kal flew up. Using all his might he gathered enough energy for the largest most powerful blast of heat vision, destroying all the doomsday replicas across the field.

Kal slowly floated down and dropped to his knees.

Diana rushed to him. She was hesitant but she knew he needed her, even if he wouldn't say it.

Let me in, if only for this moment

She kneeled beside him and wrapped her arms around him. Kal sighed deeply and relaxed.

I haven't felt her touch like this in so long.

"I don't think I could do that twice."

"I hope you don't ever have to do that again," she whispered as she held him tighter.

He wanted nothing more than to stay in her arms. But the battle wasn't over yet.

Darkseid had taken Kara. Superman Wonder Woman, and Batman needed to now get to Apocalypse.

Residence of Scott and Barda Freed

"We appreciate the help," Diana smiled at Barda.

"No biggie. Any enemy if Darkseid is a friend of mine. Just give me a minute and we can go."

Kal frowned. "We can go?" he questioned. "I'm not allowing-"

"My mother box. My boom tube."

Kal floated up to be eye level with Barda. Diana grabbed his arm.

"Kal, can I have a word with you?"

Kal glanced at Diana.

"Kal," she said more sternly.

"Hey, Batman! What do you think you are doing? That's Scott's secret—"

"I need to borrow some of this."

Barda sighed. "Fine. Just...try not to break anything," she said walking to her bedroom to get dressed.

"Barda is doing us a favor."

"Given that I hold you partially responsible for this situation—" he snapped.

Diana frowned. "What?!"

It was like an arrow was shot through Diana's heart once again.

I can see it all in your eyes. The rage, pain and sadness. Why won't you tell instead of fighting me?

"If Kara hadn't been on paradise island and left under my watch—"

"First of all, she was happy. Secondly, I lost warriors defending that girl. Harbinger gave her life!"

"We wouldn't even be having this conversation if we were saving Donna Troy—or —-Jason Todd—"

"That's enough. Kara isn't dead."

"Okay! Let's take darkseid down!" Barda interrupted trying to veer focus on the important task at hand.

There was an awkward silence.

I know the others think I stepped over the line bringing up Donna and Jason. I saw the pain in Diana's eyes. I hope that some day they can forgive me...

"Batman. Wonder Woman. Barda. We all know our jobs. But, just to be clear...Kara comes with me."

"And so we're clear, Superman. Everyone goes home. Be prepared."

Diana watched as Kal flew off. Barda looked at Diana noticing her worried expression.

"Does he know what he's getting himself into?"

"I'm not sure, Barda. I've known Superman for a long time...and I'm not sure..."

We used to be in sync. Knew each other thoughts and actions before anything but now...I don't know you anymore. But I want you to be careful, Kal. Please be careful.

With the aid of Batman, Wonder Woman and Barda, Superman made an assault on Apocalypse, Darkseid 's world to rescue Kara. However, Kara was under Darkseid's control. Batman warned Superman about not trusting Kara, but Superman had faith.

As Superman was in an all out brawl with mind controlled Kara, Wonder Woman and Barda fought the furies, while Batman took on Darkseid's minions. Kal didn't want to hurt her, but he had no choice but to use a Kryptonite ring, that could effect him too, knocking her out unconscious for the time being.

"Take the girl. I will make no move against her."

"I will hold you to that promise."

"And the entire Amazon army will back him."

Despite everything I can always count on you, Diana. Despite the hurt I cause you, you are still right by my side, fight for me, fighting with me...always protecting me

"Let's go home."

Barda went home to Scott. Kal, Diana and Bruce went back to Themyscira.

Kal knew this was right for Kara. Themyscira was home for Kara.

Diana has always known right. No matter how hard a may try to go against her, she always ends up right. She wills the power of truth after all, who am I to question that?

"Kara?"

"Kal?" She sat up in bed. "It was like one long nightmare...and all I remember was trying to get home."

"It's all right now."

Kara embraced him and tears ran down her cheek. "I'm so sorry for what happened."

"It's okay. Everything is okay."

Later

After paying respects to her friend, Lyla, Kal and Kara decided to leave Themyscira to go to the Fortress.

"Diana, I can't thank you enough," Kara said embracing her.

"We'll talk more about what you'd like to do with your life. Whenever you're ready. And remember...we will always watch over you."

Kal watched them with a smile.

You brought her so much joy, Diana. It doesn't matter how it all started anymore, it's that we are now at this point. Kara has a home, a family...here. I was selfish and blind not to see. You have always been family, Diana. That will never change

Fortress of Solitude

Martha Kent had made Kara a costume with some old blankets Bruce found in a compartment from Kara's space ship.

"Ready? What do you think?"

Kal smiled. "You look great, Kara. Now, come on, there's some folks I want you to meet."

Smallville, Kent Farm

"Welcome to Smallville."

"This is where you grew up?"

"Yeah." They landed on the front porch. "I don't see ma or pa around. The truck's not here—maybe they went into town."

"From what I remember...compared to krypton...it's so different."

"We should go inside and wait. Hopefully there'll be some leftover pie in the—"

As Kal was about to open the door, a large monstrous hand bursted through, punching him in the middle of his chest. He flew straight into the tractor.

"No..." Kara gasped

"I gave my word I would not come for the girl..." Darkseid said bursting through the entire door. "Your death, however, is something long overdue, Superman."

Darkseid blasted omega beams straight toward Superman.

"No!" Kara yelled out dashing in from of Superman, taking the hit.

Kara, disintegrated into dust right in front of Kal.

"Pity."

Kal was boiling with anger. He knocked Darkseid into the barn.

Darkseid backhanded Superman and just as he blasted his omega beams again.

"NO!" Diana yelled, dashing in from of Kal deflecting the beams back at Darkseid.

No, Diana! This is my fight! I will not let you put your life on the line again. I will not let you get hurt. I will not lose you!

Kal grabbed her arm. "Stay out of this, Diana!"

"What are you doing?"

He gave her a sympathetic look. "I can't let you do this. This is my fight only, Diana."

"Kal, what-?" She gasped suddenly felt herself being tossed into the air. "Kal!" She reaches for him but she went through the roof of the barn so fast.

"You know nothing about a glorious life, Darkseid!"

Superman hurdled Darkseid into space and continued on.

BOOM

"You know this place, don't you?" Superman asked Darkseid rhetorically. "The final barrier, at the end of outer space. The source wall. This is where you belong...along with all the other failures of the universe."

Hours Later, Kent Farm

The Justice League has arrived to help with repairs.

"You—you all didn't have to do this," Kal said.

"Yes we did. Diana told us what happened," Flash said.

Diana walked up behind him. "I'm glad you got back safely. Is Darkseid...?"

"Where he'll never bother any of us again." Kal was hesitant but turned to look at her. "Are you alright?"

"After you tossed me out of the barn?"

Kal sighed. "Look, Diana, I didn't know what else to do. You weren't going to leave if I had told you let alone asked."

"You damn right I wasn't. But that didn't give you the right to do what you did."

"I don't plan on doing it again. I wanted you out of the way as quickly as possible. It was my fight."

"You know you are such a stubborn arrogant ass! You've been trying my patience."

"Diana, don't you see I did that because you could've gotten killed and I can't—"

"You can't what?"

Dammit Diana. I can't do this right now. Not yet.

"I- I have to go see Kara."

You really have changed. You don't care for me anymore and I have no idea why. If this is how you want to be so be it. Why should I give a damn, too?

Before Diana could answer, he flew off to Themyscira to a secret portal.

"As of right now, you're safe here and no one will find you."

"Darkseid...?"

"No longer your concern."

2 weeks later, Fortress of Solitude

"Kara is safe on Paradise Island. Whatever life she chooses..."

"Kal?"

Kal and Bruce looked up.

"Kara...!"

"I've made my decision."

Later that day, Kal, Bruce and Kara, met with the entire JLA and the Teen Titans for a grand official meeting.

As everyone was mingling, Kal saw Diana standing alone, watching everyone. All of a sudden his heart dropped.

He sighed, knowing he had to say something to her.

Kal slowly walked up to her. Diana looked off to the side then down to ground.

"Hi...Hi, Diana."

"Clark."

He could hear it in her voice. She was stern and had no desire to look at him.

"Can we talk in private?"

"No."

"Diana, I just-"

"I said no. This is Kara's time and I don't want to ruin it with arguing with you. I don't want to talk to you at all."

Kal sighed. "I understand."

I kept pushing and now I might have pushed too far

You aren't the man I know. I don't know you anymore, and I don't want to know this man you've become

It's been two weeks since Kal met Kara and everything that had went down. With everything settled, it was time for her to meet Lois.

Clark prepared dinner. Upon, introduction when Lois got there, she seemed a little distant and not too welcoming.

There was a bit of an awkward silence.

"So Kara, you said you've been here for two weeks?"

"Yes! Cousin Kal wanted to make sure I was safe so I stayed at the Fortress but then I was taken to Paradise Island. Diana and the Amazons were very welcoming. I trained with them and everything. Diana is very kind and motherly." She smiled. "Now that I think about it, when Diana and Kal were arguing over me, they were like my parents."

Clark glanced at Lois and she was quite unamused.

After dinner, Lois was still very quiet. Clark helped clean the table and wash the dishes.

"Cousin, I would like to fly around a bit. See the city lights."

"That's fine, Kara. When I finish up here, I'll join you."

Kara smiled and flew off out the patio door.

Lois leaned against the counter. "She is a nice girl."

"Yeah, only been here in such a short time, we literally went to hell and back."

"And you didn't tell me because...?"

Clark paused for a moment. "Well...it all happened so fast. Diana ambushed us in the part and took Kara."

"But you let her stay."

"I was against it, but Diana said keep an open mind and Kara was happy and Diana-"

Lois sighed dramatically and rolled her eyes. "Diana this, Diana that...when will we ever have a conversation without her being brought up?"

"What are you talking about Lois?" Clark sighed and turned around.

"I'm your wife! Not her! But she is treated as more of your wife than I am! Every time its something that has to do with her, you are right there. You'll make time for her but not me! It's always the Justice League or her!"

"Lois, she is my best friend. Always has been."

"But I am your wife! I am the one that comes first! Why don't you just be honest for once? You hid so much from already. You love her, don't you?! You've never gotten over her. You said it was nothing serious but apparently it is!"

"Yeah, you are right. I can't deny that I do love Diana."

"And there it is..."

"She has been there for me from the start. I was the one that pushed her away. I didn't think I was good enough for her and I kept distancing myself, trying to bury my feelings to respect you and our marriage. But I have realized only when you knew the truth about me, things changed. You are the one that loved the cape not the man."

"Oh so you are a man now? If you are so much a man, you would know how to make your wife happy."

"Lois, that's all I've been trying to do! But nothing is good enough for you!"

"Because I deserve better than this! I've worked my ass off for far too long to be second to some bathing suit tiara wearing princess!"

"That's enough, Lois! I have had enough! Diana has shown you nothing but respect and you will do the same!"

Lois was shocked. "I see. You know what? I'm done with this!"

"I've been done! I've been trying to make this work but obviously it doesn't!"

Lois glared. "Screw you, Clark."

She rushed and got her things to leave, slamming the door.

Clark took a deep breath. He hurried rinsing the dishes to meet up with Kara.

Clark walked out to the balcony. "Kara?"

"Right here, cousin."

Clark looked up.

"The roof of this building is nice. Come sit up here with me."

Clark smiled and flew up. He sat by Kara and sighed deeply.

"I'm sorry if I said something I shouldn't have."

"No, you didn't. It was fine." Clark glanced at her. "What is it?"

"What I said at dinner was true, though. Diana made me feel accepted. It was nice to be myself and have someone who understood what I was feeling. It didn't matter how I got there, I'm glad I was brought to Themyscira. I love Diana as a big sister or maybe even a mother." She smiles. "I know you didn't like it at first, but you let me stay anyway. Thank you."

Kal smiled. "Yeah...Diana is...wonderful. She has her ways but most of the time it's the right way. I haven't been as grateful as I should've been."

"Lyla told me you and Diana tried dating? Why didn't you make a better effort?"

"We were young. We didn't quite understand ourselves yet to get into anything serious. I felt like Diana deserved more than me."

"You really believed that?"

"I think that's what I wanted to believe. I got cold feet."

"Cold feet?"

"Nervous."

"Oh. You shouldn't be nervous now. You should tell her. You two are good together when you aren't fighting over me."

Clark chuckled and nodded. "I can't believe I'm taking relationship advice from my teenaged cousin."

"On krypton I was older than you and it would've been that way."

"Right...but thanks Kara. Within these 2 weeks you've changed things for me. I have some decisions to make."

"And I support you as you have supported me."

2 months later...Metropolis Courthouse

"Is it true, Mr. Kent, you hid your inability to bear children?"

"Yes."

Lois was so angry, she decided to have their marriage annulled. She didn't have the time nor the patience to go through divorce proceedings. She cite that Clark hid from her his inability to bear children. She knew the detailed complicated truth however that human and alien DNA didn't match, But Clark Kent was known to be human and it was just a convenient reason to get the annulment and a tinge of spitefulness went into it as well.

"Is there any reason why?"

"It might have been a slim chance but I thought maybe something may happen. Things would've changed."

"I see. Well I'm surprised this has been the fastest, most civilized case I've had. I hear by grant the annulment. You both are free to go."

Walking out the courthouse, Clark felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. It was time for him to start over and do things right if, hopefully, he still has the chance.

A few weeks later...Themyscira

Diana watched as the Amazons trainer, though her mind was preoccupied. For 2 and half months she hasn't heard nor seen Kal. J'onn said he went on an off planet mission and maybe so, but she felt there was something more. Maybe he really didn't care anymore.

"Princess?"

Diana looked up. "Yes, Artemis?"

"Kal-El is here."

Her heart skipped a beat.

He slowly walked forward to her. "Hi, Diana. It's been a while."

"Yes, It has. Is Kara alright?"

"Yes she is but I'm not here in regards to Kara. I'm here to speak with you." Kal presented her with an otherworldly flower.

"It's beautiful. Very nice of you."

"Could we...speak in private?"

Diana stared at him hesitant. He was nervous about something.

She nodded slightly. "Follow me."

They flew off to her room. Diana was still hesitant but opened the door.

Kal walked in and looked around, then spotted something familiar on her bed. "You kept the blanket Ma knitted?"

"Of course. It is a lovely gift I cherish. Even I don't feel cold, it's still nice for extra warmth she said."

"She asks about you all the time. She knows how much you like her homemade pies. Would like it if you could come by, help make one."

"Why are you here, Kal?"

He paused. "Diana, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for hurting you."

"You want to apologize now why?"

"I had time to think about things. Kara has changed so much for me, given me a different perspective."

"So you are apologizing because Kara told you to."

"No, I..." Kal sighed. "For these last 3 months I've been dealing with a lot and the most important thing that is now over is my marriage annulment..."

"Your what?!"

"It's done."

"Why, Kal?"

"Because I told Lois the truth. She already knew but for me to actually say it made the decision final."

"And what was that?"

Kal stepped up to her, taking her hand and caressed her cheek. "I told her that I was in love with you. I have always loved you."

Diana pulled away from him shaking her head. She turned her back to him trying to hold back her tears. "No, Kal. I won't let you do this!"

"Diana, I told you, it's already done. That's why I haven't been in contact with anyone. I was waiting for it to be finally over."

"Its not that easy! You hurt me and I didn't understand why! I thought you of all be would never do that to me! I trusted you! I gave you my heart, Kal!" She turned around and slapped him, tears running down her face.

He had that coming for a long time. He deserved it and he knew he did.

"I know, Diana. I know." He grabbed her by her waist pulled her close. "Look at me. Look at me and listen...please."

He cupped her cheeks gently wiping her tears. "I can say I'm sorry a billion times over but I know that will never be enough. But I want to start over, Diana."

Diana shook her head.

"I miss my best friend. I miss seeing your beautiful smile, hearing your laugh. I miss when we used to sit down by the shore here or find the tallest building racing to the top to sit, watch over the city and just talk about any and everything. I miss you, Diana. It took me a while, it shouldn't have but it did...but I realized a large part of my heart was empty. Only you can fill it completely."

Diana stared into his eyes. She could see deeper than the hurt, pain. She saw the sincerity...the love, and care. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she saw the man she knew and love.

"Diana for so long, I've tried to hold in these feelings I have for you. Tried to bury them because I thought I could never have a chance...especially how I made it so awkward when we first met."

"We were young...moving fast."

"I think we've moved slow enough now...a bit too slow. Diana, I really miss you." He rubbed his thumb gently across her cheek again wiping more tears, though tears started falling from his eyes.

"I...I miss you, too, Kal."

Kal couldn't resist any longer capturing Diana's lips in a soft passionate kiss. He held her tighter as Diana wrapped her arms around his neck. It felt so right to be in each other's arms.

Like an unspoken desire, they slowly started to move, taking their time to taste each other, to know the exact time to move forward.

Pure bliss, an unspoken love finally being spoken.

The many nights and day dreams of being so close, being able to share the love they've held in, can finally be released and it wasn't just a dream any more.

When they slightly pulled apart, Diana bit her lip.

"I don't want to waste any more time," he whispered.

She nodded slowly as their lips met again. Kal picked her up bridal style, carrying her to the bed, gently laying her down.

Kal twisted the kiss into something ardent and heated with a hint of desperation and so breathtaking that Diana had a hard time thinking.

They quickly undressed each other, tossing their clothing to the floor, not caring where it may have landed.

Kal gripped Diana's hips as he pushed her further up to lay comfortably on the soft pillows. She let out a heated groan as he trailed wet kisses from her collarbone to the valley between her breasts, biting and nibbling on her swollen nipples. Diana was adoring the heat irradiating from him and how his mouth skillfully worked on her breasts and skin. Her eyes fluttered shut as the rush of sensations caused by Kal's hands, waved through her body endlessly.

Kal kissed back up to her lips as he nestled between her legs. Diana beamed as the heat increased between them and she felt a sense of right, of comfort, of home.

"Diana, I love you," Kal's heartfelt confession brought tears to her eyes again and she cupped his face.

"I love you, too," she sighed as Kal slid inside slowly.

Kal's whole being shook in lust that had been far long restrained. Lust that burned not only his heated body but as well his soul.

He went slowly, and the heat that had built between them flared again as they kissed passionately. Both of them were sent into a pure state of pleasure.

Diana cried out with pleasure as Kal hit a sensitive spot each time he slid deeper. Her fingers scrabbled across his back, digging into the flesh. Kal slid his hand down her side and touched her intimately, her eyes widened as she cried out again. The heat concentrated in that point and one long stroke more made fireworks burst before her eyes as her body pulsed with energy.

The feelings...The sensations...The pureness of their love, Diana couldn't explain it but with every thrust made, she found herself make noises that she'd never made before. The rushes of pleasure, the feeling of being connected as one, their speeded heart beats inside their chests and their haggard breaths, only increasing the amount of pleasure already being felt and for her, that was just amazing.

Kal tighten his arms around Diana's waist, pulling her further close as he buried his face into the crook of her neck, kissing and sucking as he slid his member out of the source of heat to slam back inside, making her scream in pure delight but as well as throw her head.

"K-Kal…" she mumbled, bringing their forehead's together as they gazed into each other's eyes.

"Diana…" he breathlessly called her name back as yet another moan slipped past his lips followed with a loud curse.

Pressing their lips together once again to share yet another passionate kiss, Kal shoved his tongue inside her mouth, tasting every single unexplored corner obviously trying to gather an amount of ecstasy never felt before while he obviously kept on thrusting into her, increasing his pace with every thrust made. Diana held on to Kal tighter and rubbed up and down his back. Their passion ran high. She never seemed to have caught her breath as she continued calling out his name, now clenching the tangled sheets.

Kal grabbed her right hand, interlocking fingers. Their breaths became heavier as he kissed her and the kiss grew intense. Their moans muffled, the sound of their skin hitting against skin increasing everything to a point where both of them threw their heads back.

With the very last hard thrust and a very pleasurable moan both of them came together.

"Di…" Kal whispered a few minutes later, running his fingers through her hair.

"What is it, Kal?" she asked in return, eyes fluttering shut as her ear pressed down on his chest, trying to hear the sound of his heart beat.

"Thank you...for everything," he said, lifting his head from the pillow as he pressed a light kiss on her forehead.

They held each other tightly in a loving embrace for the rest of the night, not wanting to ever let go again.

The next morning...

Diana woke up and slowly sat up. She wrapped the sheet around her then got out of bed. Before she could take 3 steps she gasped feeling herself being swooped up in strong yet gentle arms.

"Morning, Diana."

She looked up to see Kal's charming handsome smile.

"Good Morning, Kal-El," she smiled back.

Kal sat on the edge of the bed with Diana sitting on his lap. He kissed her softly.

"I know that last night doesn't fix everything and I have a lot to prove to you but-"

"But all that matters is that we have each other back now."

"I took what we had for granted. I won't do that again."

Diana smiled and caressed his cheek. "It's going to be a very long battle."

"We've literally been to hell and back before. We can do this... together."

"Together. Always..."

"And forever..." Kal whispered as he laid her back down and kissed her passionately.
