Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Bee in the Bonnet. Enjoy the 2700-Word chapter. I do not own Hazbin Hotel, Viziepop, and a few others do.
When Vio awakened, it was with a grunt that he felt something poke him in the chest. He looked up, shielding his eyes from the light as Bee lifted her foot from his chest.
"Hey, time to show you that little place we can eat at," Bee stated as Vio grunted, pushing himself to his feet.
"You know I do not have a shirt… Right?" Vio asked as Bee shrugged.
"And I have almost NOTHING covering my chest, you don't see me whining," Bee said as Vio snorted. "There is a clothing store down the street from that place. We can stop there first and you can stop blushing over me looking at your pecs…" Bee said before Vio blushed.
"Evil woman," Vio muttered as Bee giggled in mockery before Vio grunted.
"Why does my head hurt so badly?" Vio asked.
"Because you downed about 4 bottles and then passed out like a sack of nickels," Bee said as Vio blinked. "You have a hangover…." Bee said as Vio blinked again.
"I have what?" Vio stated to which Bee sighed.
"I'll show you when we get there," Bee said before she slowly dragged Vio out of the bed before she thought once more.
She sighed as she looked to the side, smirking as she realized Vio was not as goody two shoes when it came down to it once more.
She looked to the side as she used her arms to pull Vio from the bed, him slumping over, eyes wide as if he had been seen with well… More good stuff in him. She guessed the little angels were not allowed to indulge in it all now when it came crashing to the ground.
She and he were different. She and he were two odd different people, she did not wish to think of it when it came down to it once more. She was happy he was willing to drop trying to be a perfect goody two shoes and a good idea as to where his head was when it was all said and done.
Bee almost felt happy that she of all people was able to relax, that she of all people had a friend when it was all over. She did not even know what would be coming to the forefront and that was something that she of all people wished to end.
All of it, however? it would pale if she knew what would happen at the end of the day, knowing that it would be harder and harder to figure out now, and for good reasons.
Bee of all people simply sighed as she realized very much what would become of it now and for good reason… They had a war to win so it was clear the war would come first when push came to shove.
Bee hummed and then sighed as she began to drag him away, easily lifting the barely conscious angel above her head like he was a sack of potatoes.
Vio groaned but did nothing as she carried him down the stairs, still groaning as she rolled her eyes.
"Dude, you do realize I am like 50 times stronger than you, right?" Bee asked before Vio hummed.
"Yet you can't do your work," Vio muttered as Bee snorted.
"Chicken wing, I am a damn princess. If I need to do something crazy? I will do it… I just do not have time." Bee stated.
"Sounds more like you are jealous," Vio stated.
Bee paused mid-step as Vio blinked, too out of it to realize exactly what he had said before he thought once more as she clicked it into place.
She was too interested in what the future held… But that damn king, that damn idiot who had taken her throne before she could rule.
He was stupid, an arrogant party animal who did not care about the people he partied with, there was no style, no flair… He just fed on others like a leech, like a damn leech which had no end.
Bee felt her fangs almost pierce her lip from how hard she had gritted her teeth. To the end had she done something like this, all the way it had been settled.
She sighed, sucking in a breath as her skin returned to its natural parlor. Bee was angry but she would save it… For now, she was angry enough to lose it on Vio if only a bit now.
"Do not say that again, chicken wing." Bee muttered as she finally put Vio down on her couch, pausing to sit next to him for a few seconds later.
Bee grunted before she stretched out her limbs, looking more like a spider than a hybrid who happened to be a demon. She knew very well how odd it was to encounter the princess of gluttony inside a regular apartment… However, she did not believe it was that bad.
Vio grunted before the demon put his head on her knee. She knew he was tired and Bee also knew that she was tired, exhausted from plotting and scheming how to climb the ladder, looking down on others.
She of all people knew that the climb would not be easy but she was not going to let the ladder get her down now. It would end and she would sit on the throne.
Now? Well, she had business to deal with and she needed help. A large portion of her servants had taken to sitting with the king, however, finding it easier to sit on the winning team than trying to be nice.
If nothing else? She had SOMETHING resembling backup. Something about it all became much harder and harder to deal with now than more than a little crazy.
Bee was too much as she looked to the side, too much had been too interested in it all for now as she wished to grasp it for now.
"My head is killing me," Vio muttered before Bee rolled her eyes.
"That's what a hangover does," Bee stated before looking at Vio's wings.
His wings which had gone from pristine white to having streaks of hellish black… Were also starting to get nasty red scars. She could see angry muscle tissue which looked like it was cut down to the nerve and was very unnatural.
Granted, Bee was not a damn doctor and she had ZERO clue on what this was? Bee was sure enough that even a fallen angel was not like this but she DID know that talking to a damn doctor was the first thing they should have done.
Vio let out a burp before the angel grunted, finally tired before the halo above his head shattered into pieces.
"Ok… I am bringing you to Belle." Bee said before she snapped her fingers as she began to drag her former friend into the portal once more.
Vio groaned before he went limp. There was still a heartbeat in his chest which she took to be a good thing.
Bee sighed and finally stepped through the ring before she thought once more as she wished to think of it for now.
So, it seemed she would be fully breaking her rule of not showing off to her friends… If Belle knew about it? She knew damn well the others would which meant a war between her and the king was likely if not impossible reality when it came to it.
Granted? There were a lot of different things, a LOT of which he had been dealing with now and for good reason. A LOT more than she had wished to be dealing with it all as she dragged him into it.
(The Sloth Ring 10 minutes later)
Bee sighed as she carried Vio on her back. She of all demons could not afford to show weakness… But she owed Vio at least and she knew without a powerful enforcer? She would be seen as weak either way, it was better to keep around someone who could help her than it was all said and done.
She of all people could guess… Was guessing now and it was delicious, all of it became from a single place here or there.
She waved the doors open, ignoring the looks of other sinizens. If they had a problem with the princess? They could damn well bite her, she was here on business.
"Appointment for Princess Beelzebub?" Bee heard as she sighed and then put Vio down on a gurney, watching as Belle's doctors dragged him further inside.
"What are you doing, Beelzebub?" She heard from a writhing mass of shadows, reminding her of where she was.
"Helping a friend… Belle." Bee asked before she looked to the side once more.
All of it was harder and harder to grasp… But? It was how she had acted.
"You brought an angel here…." Bee heard.
"I brought a broken one who is being paid to be here… Last I checked? Nobody cares if I have money." Bee stated.
Belle was silent as she bit back a chortle. That was true, her hospitals despite their appearance did not care for the ones who lived in them so long as they could squeeze money out of them, no client was off the table.
She looked at Bee who looked rather different. 5 years ago, was a plucky girl, a Goetia who had slowly climbed up the ladder in different ways and a woman who did not at all wish to stop partying.
Now? Well, she did not want to stop partying but it was clear something had gotten to Bee as she shuffled her feet, her arms crossed like some sort of housewife and her wings fluttering on her back.
"You know the only former angel here was… The boss." Belle stated.
"He's not a big wig, he's a former exterminator." Bee stated as Belle hummed.
"Why would a bloodthirsty killer be kicked down here, Bee?" Belle asked.
"Why are you asking me?" Bee asked before she looked to the side, curious as to how it would and should have gone.
"Because I KNOW you have been trying to take over the Gluttony Ring for 5 years… Your war with King Zagan is not well hidden." Belle stated, shifting her bulk around.
She of all people was willing to do something terrible, something horrid… But she was not that bad a person. She knew Bee and she knew Bee of all people always had an angle to her actions, angles that were sorely used to try and better her standing.
"He's a friend." Bee finally admitted as Belle sighed.
"Everyone who meets you is your friend. You have never tried not to befriend someone unless they have wronged you." Belle stated.
"Fine, pick my brain… What in the name of Lucifer is wrong with him?" Bee asked.
"He is dealing with the fact he is not an angel anymore. His body is dealing with the fact an angel cannot do what we can." Belle stated.
"Translation?" Bee stated as Belle rolled several of her eyes.
"Last I checked? Angels cannot down drinks, they cannot get drunk, do the horizontal tango, or anything. They are made only to care for war and serve their boss… They are constantly taught from what I heard that any vices are wrong and blah blah." Belle stated.
"You take away all that nonsense and morals?" Belle asked.
"What, are you saying he's got a kink for vices?" Bee asked.
"No, he has a lust for doing what he cannot…. You gave him that drink you made which hops up people more than a kangaroo on steroids. What do you think it does to someone not even allowed to touch a wine glass?" Belle asked.
"How the hell do you know this?" Belle heard.
"My boss is the first fallen angel in the world. I know a lot about them when it comes to them stabbing people here." Belle stated. "Go…. And just end this stupid war soon, none of us care about Zagan, but if you want to be Queen of Gluttony? Just end this within a few years or so… We both know you do not have time for this crap." Belle stated.
Bee turned, looking at her friend before sighing and going to find Vio as she realized there might be problems when it came crashing down. If they caused problems? She would deal with them, Vio was one of her employees.
He was one of her friends… Right? Bee did not know, she had just met him and she did not have many friends, not ones who were not after her in some way.
(With Vio)
Vio felt too tired to fight back as the residents of the room looked at him with scorn, despite his power. He knew more and more that both were running on empty.
Before one of them went to put a syringe in them, a twisted grin on their face.
"There better be good stuff in that." He heard before Bee growled, flying through the doors. "Chicken wing? How are you feeling? You might need to come back here a few times when it comes down to it… You guys fix him up, he is with me." Bee stated before Vio seemed to grunt and sigh.
"Seriously… Chicken wing." Vio stated before he sighed and grunted. "Relax… My head just hurt a little at the time being." Vio stated before he sighed, rubbing at his temples.
"Well, that's what a hangover is," Bee said as she chuckled.
"Why didn't you stop me?" Vio asked before groaning.
"Because I did not think you would pass out and then puke all over the place… I am the princess of parties, not a Debbie Downer." Bee stated to which Vio sighed.
He of all people was simply amused… Well, if his stomach did not kill him and he realized that Bee was going to be too tired as of now when it came down to it.
Bee looked at Vio, who grunted, curling up into a ball once more. She seemed to grasp it as she sat down next to him before she sighed to herself.
Vio seemed to grasp what was going on as he clicked his fingers, looking to the side as he smirked, well trying to curl his lips into a smirk and failing a little.
"Are you ok?" Bee asked as Vio grunted.
"No. I think I'm going to vomit once more." Vio said and it was in a tone which suggested that, yes, he would if he was allowed to.
To be fair? He looked pale enough to be considered a statue than anything, they had a LOT of things to deal with, and now? Well, now it was just odder and odder to suggest, now it was harder and harder to figure out as of the time being.
She and he were different but she could tell that even after a day. Well, Vio was trying and that was ALL she could ask for now, ALL of it now, and for good reason.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! A few things.
I did not give Belle a form or such so as not to make her different from the official release. I will take what the owner makes mostly.
Vio getting passed out smashed is not only to show he is not some god angel who can punch buildings but a regular soldier… That and because I am guessing angels in the show are not allowed to indulge in vices like demons so Vio is a sense freak for the most part.
I picked Zagan because he is a powerful demon in the Ars… And the only demon I see associated with wine or such. I also do not know if Bee is canonically a Goetia. I check.
The next chapter will show more of Bee and Vio bonding and set up Bee's plan to bump off another of Zagan's lieutenants. Until the 900–6500-word chapter, Lighting Wolf out!
