Bold Italics- Flashback
Themyscira
"You let those weak men turn you soft! You've forgotten the ways of the Amazons, Princess."
"I've learned their ways and taught ours. Things have changed."
"That's what they want you to believe! You've always been weak. You left us out of cowardness!"
"You know that is not true!"
"You don't deserve to be the next Queen. You should be banished for choosing them over us."
"I chose to not live in seclusion any longer! I chose to believe in change for the greater good of all!"
Flashback End
Wonder Woman flew across the city trying to clear her mind but the angry voices of her sisters replayed over and over. Some of them, completely stuck in their stubborn ways, weren't even trying to understand.
"Hensley!"
Wonder Woman looked down and saw a young boy running out into the street. She quickly swooped down picking up the boy and his ball.
The boy had his eyes shut tight until he felt that he was being held. He opened his eyes and saw Wonder Woman smiling.
"You have to be more careful next time."
"You're pretty!"
"Why thank you!"
Wonder Woman flew down to his parents.
"What have we told you about running into the damn street!"
"I'm sorry," he said with his lip trembled trying to hold back from crying.
Wonder Woman put him down and ruffled his hair. "Be safe and mindful, okay?"
He nodded.
"I'm more than sure we can talk to our own child!" His mother said.
Wonder Woman looked up at her taken aback.
"I was just wanted him to feel better and knows the import-"
"As I said, we can talk to our own child. We don't need some bathing suit model trying to tell our child what to do."
"My apologies..."
As they walked away, going to their car, Hensley looked back with a smile and waved.
Wonder Woman smiled and waved back. Once he turned back, Wonder Woman could no longer hold back the tears welling up in her eyes. First her sisters, now this? Is all the good she has done and is doing, being done in vain? Could her sisters have been right?
Of course she had never thought to become who she is for praise or to be worshipped. It was what was right, following her heart and she knew her mission wasn't going to be easy. Never wanted nor expected it to be. But everything has been turning so much more complicated. She could no longer hold in her frustration and needed to talk to the one person she trusted and understood her and how she was feeling. Her best friend, Kal-El.
"Hey, Di, back from Themyscira already?"
She couldn't help but to smile hearing his voice over the phone.
"Yes, I'm back."
"Are you at home?"
"I'm in Metropolis. I was wonder if you were at home?"
"Yeah. But what's wrong? Did you need me to meet you somewhere?"
He can hear the sadness in her voice.
"No, I'm on my way to your place. I just need to talk."
"Ok. Well I'll make you a cup of hot chocolate when you get here."
Diana smiled wider. "Thank you."
No less than 10 minutes later, Clark Kent heard a knock at his door.
When he opened the door, his eyes instantly met with Diana Prince's.
"Di..." he started to say. Seeing her sad expression broke his heart. "That bad?"
"They're not trying to understand..."
Clark immediately enveloped her into a loving embrace. He felt her lips touching his neck. He whispered in her ear, telling her that she would be just fine. Diana continued to cry and hugged him close. Just this moment of being in his arms gave her a sense of peace.
Clark pulled her inside, closing the door and locking it.
He took her to the sofa and she sat there as he went to the kitchen to make her cup of hot chocolate. He came back with two mugs and some tissue.
Diana took a sip. "This is so good."
Clark smiled. "And there it is?"
"What?"
"That beautiful smile of yours."
Diana blushed putting her mug down on the coffee table. Clark put his down and wrapped his arm over her shoulders.
"Talk to me. What happened?"
Clark just listened to her, letting her vent. Diana had always tried to hold in her feelings, especially with being an Amazon, she was taught to stay strong. Be damned to ever show vulnerability in front of a man. But Clark was no ordinary man. He earned her trust and there was no hesitation for her to open up to him.
"I know they are hurting, Kal. Years of pain and my birth caused more. Some of them are filled with so much resentment. They want me permanently banished from the island."
"What?!"
"I chose man's world over them."
"Diana..."
"Then before I came here, I saved a little boy. He ran into the street. I was just telling him to be safe but his mother said I'm just a bathing suit model and I shouldn't tell her son what to do."
"No one should ever think they have a right to speak to you nor treat you that way."
He pulled her up to his lap to get into a more comfortable position and caressed her cheek.
"I wanted to make things better. Isn't that my duty if I am to be Queen one day? Fight for good. Fight to protect my sisters. Yes, some of that has changed to something so much bigger. I'm fighting to protect the entire universe. But is that now selfish of me?"
"No, not at all, Diana. You haven't done anything wrong. You are the most unselfish self-sacrificing person I know. Others sometimes project their own selfishness. They all see exactly what I see, even when they don't want to admit it. A beautiful, strong, fierce woman who's already a Queen," Clark whispered to her, stroking her cheek ever so softly.
"I can always count on you," Diana said, hugging him.
"I will always be here for you and with you," he replied.
Diana smiled and Clark smiled back pushing some of her strands of hair back.
Being in his arms felt so right. The outside world didn't exist and time seemed to be at a stand still being with him.
Diana leaned forward, kissing him softly taking him by surprise. She then pulled back slowly.
Clark cupped her cheek pulling her back into a kiss, Diana instantly succumbing into the kiss, pushing her lips onto his and letting him pass her closed lips.
Their kiss became more forceful and lustful. Diana's hands started to roam under Clark's shirt and she sighed in his mouth as she felt the rock solid abs.
Clark left her mouth and started down her neck. His hand slowly rubbing up her thigh.
"Kal…" Diana moaned breathlessly.
He stopped abruptly. "I...we should stop..."
She shook her head slightly. "Take me away..." She cupped his face with both hands. Her gaze locked with his conveying a clear message. "Please..." She pressed her lips to his kissing him again.
Clark held her against him tighter and stood up carrying her to his bedroom, laying Diana down.
They said nothing as he removed his shirt. Diana had often admired his muscles, loving the fact they were so godly toned. Without thinking, she reached out, running her hands down his chest. She then looking up at him while biting her lip.
Clark kissed her neck then lifts Diana's top up. Diana sat up a little and took it completely off then tossed it to the side. She laid back down and moaned as he continued to suck on her neck and as Diana's hands went further down to unbutton his pants. Clark immediately took over taking off his pants and sliding her shorts down her smooth long sexy legs.
Diana pulled his head down to hers and pressed their lips together. She felt his chest rumble with pleasure and she smiled against his lips. Deepening the kiss, her tongue slipped into his mouth and tentatively touched his.
Clark quickly met her passionate touch with eager fervor, quickly taking charge of the kiss. He pulled her tighter against him and one hand gently stroked her side as they allowed themselves to be consumed by their passions.
Clark slid down her panties with one hand, while removing her bra with the other. Her breasts bounced out, free from their confinement. The throbbing in his boxer was becoming unbearable now, seeing her silky flesh. He took off his boxers tossing them with the rest of their clothes.
Clark kissed the soft spot of her collar bone and nipped at her chest, taking a hardened bud into his mouth before suckling. Diana moaned; hands roaming his back as she arched when his shaft grazed her womanhood. He placed butterfly kisses along her jawline and neck. Diana tilted her head back, eyes closed as she moaned and quivered in pleasure beneath him.
Opening her eyes, she locked gazes once again with him. Without having to ask, she nodded.
"Kal..." Diana gasped, arching her back as he slowly thrust into her.
He paused, letting them both get used to this new sensation. He could feel her, enveloping him with her wet warmth. Every nerve of his hardened length thrummed. Diana wrapped her arms and legs around him, thighs clutching to his side. Her fingers press into his back, holding him tightly against her. Clark slowly plunges himself deeper into her.
Both of them moaning in ecstasy, making their bodies tingle. Moving in one motion, their bodies were in sync, creating a rhythm neither ever wanted to end. They closed their eyes and let themselves get taken away by the overflowing ecstasy through their connection. The energy spread itself inside them, reaching out to touch every fiber of them, inside and out.
One hand twined their fingers together and the other collided with the back of neck, Diana's nails fiercely gripping Clark's hair as she forced his head down so their lips could crash together like an enormous tidal wave crashing over the deck of a small ferry boat. As Diana was clenching around him, holding him inside her, Clark was losing all sense of where he was, what he was doing. His only urge was to go faster, to go harder, to feel every part of her that he could.
Diana screams out, gripping the sheets, tensing beneath him, and then began to tremble. She threw her head back and he felt a rush of moisture gather where they were joined. He stilled, watching as she kept quivering, her bottom lip once again held tightly between her teeth. She was so beautiful.
Clark's lips crash into hers again and wrapped his arms around her, lifting her up. Diana got on top of him, straddling him. Lightly thrusting into her rocking body, Clark's hands travelled up and down Diana's sides, stroking her sensitive skin.
Soon after her moans changed tone, from the light pants of arousal to the deep groans of impending orgasm, he grabbed her ass, using the leverage to thrust deeper. Diana threw her head back as she came, grasping Clark's head to her breast as a shockwave shot through her body. She felt every part of her body on fire and tingling with electricity. She gave Clark a look of lust, leaning down kissing him. He left her breathless, though shortly in return, breathed new life into her. She couldn't imagine anything better than what just happened.
Diana let out another cry. Clark flipped her over on her back, getting on top of her and Diana wrapped her legs back around him.
As Clark grunts and groans, he shoves himself as hard and deep as he could a few more times.
Diana closed her eyes and screamed again. That tingling feeling was coming back but seemed larger than before, building up throughout her body.
Her orgasm hit in one powerful surge of energy, shooting out of her in waves of pleasure, that caused Clark to fall over the edge as well, releasing his essence into her, their bodies jerking and thrusting as they rode out every single enjoyable second of their climaxes.
They stayed still entwined as their bodies come down off this high. Both still connected in the most amazing way, trying to catch their breath.
No words were spoken. None needed to be. Their lips met once more in a passionate kiss before Diana cuddled closer to his chest and Clark held her tighter as they both drifted off to sleep.
The next morning...
Clark woke up and looked around, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. He looked over at the other side of the bed. Diana wasn't there but she left a note on the pillow.
"Thank you for being the amazing man you are. Last night meant so much to me."
He smiled to himself then sighed. Last night was incredibly mind blowing for them both. So what did this mean? Clark didn't want this to be a one night stand and didn't want for him and Diana to just start randomly sleeping together.
He cared for her, loved her as his best friend. That much was very clear. Though, his feelings have evolved to be so much more deeper falling in love with her. It was much less complicated for him to suppress his feelings before but now, there was no turning back.
If this was just to be for just one night, so much still drastically changed and they needed to talk about it.
London
Diana tried to get herself ready for work. She had a very important meeting with the Governor but her mind couldn't focus on anything else other than Kal.
She had taken a long hot shower and gotten completely dressed but that couldn't cover the feeling of Kal still all over her. It felt so damn good, she wouldn't want the feeling to ever go away.
Though, at the moment she was torn. She had slept with her best friend...who she was truly and deeply in love with. It was so right yet so risky. The line had been crossed so what does it mean?
She follows her heart as she has always done. To find and have her own peace and happiness was never a means of selfishness. Falling in love was never a means of weakness. There was no of letting all that was good for her slip away.
Metropolis: Westburg Café
"Clark?" Cat snapped her fingers in front of him. "Clark!"
"Yeah? What?"
"What's wrong? You haven't listened to a word I said since you got here checking your phone every minute?"
"Sorry, Cat."
"What's wrong?"
"Something happened last night. Just trying to figure how to handle it."
"Well what is it? Or should I ask, who?"
Clark shook his head. "It's nothing."
"If it wasn't nothing you wouldn't be ignoring me."
"I'm sorry."
Cat sighed. "Alright fine. If you don't want to tell me...fine. But could you please listen?"
"Yeah...yeah...I'm listening."
All of sudden, there was a loud crash and explosion.
"What the hell?" Cat got up quickly.
"Cat, wait!"
Cat left out of the café and gasped seeing a fleet of helicopters flying over the city shooting atomic lasers.
Clark pulled her to run. "Cat, you have to go get somewhere safe."
She frowned. "What about you?"
"I'm going to help get the rest of these people out of here. Now go!"
She looked at him a bit hesitant then nodded and started running.
Clark then generated into his supersuit and flew off to the helicopters.
"And here comes along Metropolis gaurd dog."
"Stop this right now, Warhead!"
As he was just about to blast Superman, a green shield appeared in front of him.
Superman looked back to see the Justice League approaching.
"You can thank me, later," Green Lantern said with a cocky smirk.
"Don't get ahead of yourself just yet."
When Superman saw Wonder Woman, his heart jumped. He unconsciously smiled at her. Wonder Woman bit her lip and smiled back.
Seeing her smile, Superman felt he could breathe now. It seemed she didn't have any regrets for last night.
"The helicopters are empty. Looks like Warhead is controlling them all on his own," Cyborg said.
"Good. Easier to take them all down," Green Lantern said creating a giant fly swatter.
"Don't be stupid, Lantern," Batman warned. "They're full of explosives."
"While Flash and Shazam is making sure everyone is at a safe distant, Wonder Woman and I will take down Warhead."
"Cyborg will try to disable the helicopters then Lantern, take it from there."
"Alright, on it!"
"What do we do?" Diana asked.
"I'll create a distraction for you to lasso him and get the controller."
Diana nodded.
As Diana was seemingly flying off, Warhead laughed.
"Sending the beautiful broad away? How noble. Although, I would rather have a dance with her."
"I don't think so." Superman said eyes turning fiery red as he lunged at Warhead.
"Too bad...I was looking forward to a little something before she and the others meet their demise."
Superman became even more enraged and punched Warhead. Wonder Woman came up behind him about to lasso him.
Warhead laughed. "I won't make it that easy."
He pressed a button setting off the helicopters.
"NO!"
Lantern quickly made a barrier.
"Dammit! Supes and Wondy are right in the middle!"
Along with the loud domino effect of explosions, was Warhead's continuous evil laughter.
Wonder Woman and Superman both took a swing at him knocking him to the ground. They then flew down picking up a broken propeller, bending it, wrapping it around him as tight as they can.
"That should hold."
"We need to stop the remaining from exploding."
"Stay here."
"No. I'm going with you."
There was no sense nor time in arguing.
Superman slightly nodded. "Cyborg? We have to get this done manually."
"Red and blue wire cliché, man."
"Got it."
Superman used his X-ray for a quick scan. "Strike the bottom middle."
She nodded and they quickly flew back up. Striking the bottom, the helicopters didn't explode but dropped like giant flies.
"4 more, Kal!"
"Whoever gets the last one, gets dinner," Kal smirked.
"I'll take a pesto pasta salad," Diana smirked back.
As they were just about to to strike the last helicopter together, Diana gasped. It happened so fast.
The last one exploded sending them crashing down to the ground. Superman quickly grabbed Wonder Woman, holding her close, covering her. Superman landed on his back making the ground shake violently and ringing in their ears.
Diana gasped and coughed, raising up a bit. "Kal?"
He coughed. "Damn." He coughed again. "Might feel that later." He then focused looking up locking eyes with Diana. "Are you okay, Diana?"
She nodded.
"Good," he smiled and took a deep breath. "That's all that matters."
Diana smiled down at him.
"Big Blue? Wondy?" Flash called out.
Diana stood up and helped Kal up.
"Big Blue? Wondy?"
"We're over here, Flash."
"You guys okay?"
"Yeah we're good. Just a few scratches."
Within a few moments they heard sirens from the police, ambulance, and firetrucks. A.R.G.U.S agents weren't too far behind to detain Warhead.
After a while longer, the League headed back to the Tower for their usual briefing. Afterwards, heading to their separate quarters or back to earth.
Having a brief discussion with Batman, Superman missed his opportunity to catch up with Wonder Woman. But maybe it was for the best. She needed the space and time alone still. Maybe he needed a little bit more time too.
Later that night, London
"I know, Hessia. I made sure everything was perfect."
"Clark is very special to you..." Hessia said over the speaker.
"He is," Diana replied smiling. "I'm not ashamed at all to admit my feelings for him and I want to show him that. It's time."
"I am very happy for you, Little Goddess. I'll let you go now. Have a good night with Clark."
"Thank you, Hessia and I most definitely plan to."
Fortress of Solitude
Kal flew around throwing a large ball for Krypto to catch.
"I wasn't planning on spending the evening like this, you know?"
Krypto barked demanding for Kal to throw the giant ball again.
"I should call her, right? I don't want to seem pushy and I just don't want for her to get the wrong idea that last night meant nothing to me. It meant everything and I-"
He paused abruptly, hearing a familiar soothing sound, though speeding up a bit as it was coming closer.
Kal rushes to the front entrance of the Fortress and opened the enormous doors.
"Diana?"
She smiled and flew down to him. "Hey."
He inhaled deeply. "Wow! Something smells really good."
"It's a Grecian dish. Moussaka."
The epitome of Greek comfort food, moussaka is basically a hearty eggplant casserole.
"You made this? I didn't know you cooked."
"Yes. I don't cook often but I know my way around a little bit. Hessia taught me a few things as well."
"I thought I was suppose to be making you dinner?" he asked smirking as she walked in. He couldn't take his eyes off her.
"Was that actually confirmed, Kal? I mean from what happened earlier..."
"I think of it as being automatic."
"Well that's very sweet of you and that also gives more reason as to why I made this for you as the first way of saying thank you for everything."
"Di, you don't ever have to thank me for anything. And first way?"
She smiled and walked to the part of the Fortress Kal made into a sort of dining area.
"I really love how you've made this feel like being in your Metropolis apartment. It's very...cozy."
"Juxtaposed to how the Fortress may seem from the outside."
"Yes, but the Fortress is quite astonishing even on the outside."
Kal got the plates, glasses and a bottle of wine. He pulled out Diana's chair for her.
"Thank you."
Kal sat next to her.
"Wow, Di, this looks really really good," he grinned as Diana cut a piece for him and put it on the plate.
Diana giggled at his reaction as they were eating. "Would you slow down, Kal!"
"This is absolutely incredible!"
"I'm glad you like it."
There was a moment of silence as the finished eating.
Kal glances at Diana. He could tell she had something weighing on her mind and he didn't have to guess what it was. He smiled and took their plates to be put away.
"Oh let me-"
"I got it. 5 seconds tops."
He cleared the table in 2 and smirked.
Diana laughed. "You are such a show off sometimes."
Kal flashed his charming smile and held out his hand for her to take. Diana smiled back and took his hand. He levitated with Diana following suit and led her to the Fortress bedroom.
They sat on the edge of the enormous bed.
"So...you didn't answer when I asked about first way?"
Diana looked at him taking a deep breath.
"I wanted to talk about last night."
"Oh...yeah...we do need to talk about that."
"Kal, I don't regret anything at all. I won't pretend it hasn't changed anything between us and I meant what I said on the note. I want you to know I left because I just needed a little time even though the answer was already quite clear."
"I know and understand." Kal smiled and caressed her cheek. "That's all I wanted to hear because it meant so much to me too and I don't have any regrets either. We both needed a little time even having the answer already because we don't want nor need to have any hurt or confusion caused between us. Losing each other is not an option."
"That never will be. No matter what happens, we work through it and always will. Every time we are alone, I'm so much more at peace. I've come to realize, you are my peace. I can be myself and so open with you."
"I want to continue to be that for you, Diana, as you are for me. You've given me your trust and I will never ever take that for granted."
They both leaned forward, foreheads touching and eyes closed for a moment.
Diana cupped his face with both hands as she finally lets out the three words she's been holding in for the past 4 years.
"I love you," she whispered.
Kal's eyes shot open, looking directly into hers.
"I do, Kal. I love you," she repeated.
He gently wiped away the stray tear running down her cheek.
"I love you, too, Di."
Diana smiled as Kal placed a soft gentle kiss on her lips. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer as the kiss becomes more passionate. Kal wrapped his arms around Diana's waist, pushing her up to the center of the bed.
In a matter of seconds, all of their clothes were off and in a pile on the floor. Kal easily took her breath away with his soft touch against her skin.
"Kal," she whispered breathlessly, her entire body tingling as if small currents of lightning danced on her skin, her arms wrapped around his shoulders, so broad and warm and right.
Kal kisses a trail up to her lips, embracing in another passionate kiss. Kal's hands ghosted up and down her flesh, reminding her with every new soft sensation just how adored she was, still locked in this body tingling kiss. In his embrace, Kal wanted her to know she deserved nothing less than to be worshiped.
Diana dragged her nails across the bare flesh of his back, just hard enough to feel like she was marking him for her own. This man belonged to her, and she to him. Two souls that became one.
"Diana…"
His hot breath against her neck before he softly raked his teeth across sent such powerful shivers down her body, she physically shook.
His hard member, thrusting into her with such dedication, made her toes curl, her breathless cries of pleasure only audible in her lover's ear. Right now, in this moment, everything of hers was his, even her voice.
Her legs wrap high around his waist, ankles locked at his back, and she cries out his name, fingers digging into his shoulders as he moves inside her.
Their eyes unable to look away, the doorways to their soul wide open. Kal's entire body tensing, unable to hold back his intense love for her. And she didn't want him to. The heat that radiated from him, like a breathing star, wrapping her in his essence so completely that even her own body was encased in the same fire as his. This was the kind of love that couldn't be controlled.
Oh she's perfect around him, so warm and soft and strong. With the flawless pace he sets, her body grips him, fighting every pull, welcoming every push, fluttering around him every time and causing their tempo to stutter and break. One hand glides along her arm and takes her hand, their fingers lacing together, and he pins hers above her head, whispers his love against her lips.
Diana was already poised on the edge from his mouth, comes closer to swan diving over it with every drive of him until she finally lets go. Her orgasm spreads like a slow burn, coaxed outwards from between them and licking through her veins, lapping like white-hot waves through her blood. Suddenly, she was gasping for air. Breathing wasn't optional while her powerful lover claimed her mouth for his own. Diana palms his nape before submerging her fingers in his hair, cradling his cheek with her other hand as she kisses him.
"Kal…" she moaned, barely able to even speak, still trying to catch her breath. "Gods…" she tried again, but couldn't finish, her entire body begging for more.
Kal understood the pleading look in her eyes, her intent clear as day. He smiled at her, ocean blue eyes staring down at her. He wrapped his right arm underneath her back and around the side of her stomach, his left hand pressing into the bed, holding himself and her up, their bodies once again melting together in gilded union. He groans, ducks his head to stain his mouth along the slope of a breast, splashing pleasure through her insides with every slick brush of heat to her flesh.
His face was so close to hers that their foreheads touched, and Diana's whole world was swallowed up by his beautiful blue eyes, the sensation of her soft body pressed into his hard one so right.
In that moment, being connected so deeply, the world fell away. Nothing else existed, nothing else mattered—only this feeling of bliss.
Diana's not staying above the water for much longer. Her hips quiver, rocking into him harder, tighter. She cranes her neck to steal his mouth, prolong the overwhelming urge to shatter from sensation. Kal moved his left hand up, gliding his fingers to fist in her hair as he kisses her back, but he's breathless, lips glancing over hers before he coasts his mouth along her jaw, down her throat. He swirls his tongue through the hollow spot between her collarbones, blazes a trail with his mouth back down to her chest.
"Together," Diana heard him say, and together, entered serenity, unable to look away from each other's eyes.
Diana clenched her inner muscles around him. Harder with every thrust. A strangled gasp, tangled up with a ragged growl, trembles against her breast as he bruises her hip with the crush of his fingers around the bone. She urges him on with the dig of her hips into his, knowing how close he is by the shake of his muscles, the rippling of his skin beneath her fingers, and the force of his heartbeat crashing into his ribs.
Kal pressed a palm to the base of her spine, snapping her lower body into his as he plunges so impossibly and gorgeously deep. He hits her just right, so right, filling her completely. She succumbs to the flood of pleasure then, the overflow of ecstasy, and sinks to the bottom of the deep end with him.
It takes a while for them to regain the ability to breathe normally again. Kal gasped for air against Diana's sternum. He sucks the oxygen from her skin once his lungs no longer feel on the verge of bursting.
Diana whimpers at the whisper of his lips, the gentle brush of his tongue. Kal trails his hand from her back, up the bow of her spine, to rest between her shoulder blades, feeling the frantic pound of her heart beneath his palm. Tenderly, she felt him lower her down, her back pressing into the sheets.
Kal carefully pulled out of her, the sensation sending a small tremor up her spine.
Diana blinked foggy, cerulean eyes, and the world slowly reformed around her. Kal stroked his hand up and down her back, combs the other through the damp strands of her hair. He nuzzled his face at her breasts, his lips to the puckered circle of flesh. Diana's heart rate has calmed, her breathing steady and expelling against the side of Kal's throat as she moves closer, burrowing into him.
Kal's body is like a cove around hers and Diana was content to remain, she's cuddling with him. They were in heaven.
Her chest blooms with her inhale and he rises with her lungs, meets her gaze from the edge of a shared pillow. She looks warm and sated, her eyes molten and sparkling, the smile on her lips so beautiful. Diana draped her hand at his chest, over his heart. She looks happy, happier than he's ever seen her.
"I love you," Kal's soft whisper floated into her ear, sending another shiver up and down her completely satisfied body.
"I love you, too," she whispered back as her fingers touch his skin, fingertips kissing his chin so gently.
Kal cradled her head in his palm, caressing the tender spot behind her ear with his thumb, and feathers a kiss over her lips that is barely there but still succeeds in triggering those soft sparks of electricity. So irrevocably entwined with each other, they lost track of where one ends and the other begins. The love they have for one another poured into this breathless moment.
