I stood beside Redemption as he spoke to a woman at a small café on the corner. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and blushed while he spoke with the girl. She twirled her long purple hair between her fingers as her co-worker steamed soy milk. I had been working at Mrs Haruka's café for over a year now and could easily tell what type of liquid was being steamed just by sound alone.

"What are you two doing after?" She batted her eyelashes. Her co-worker placed two coffees beside her. She picked them up, handing them to Redemption while maintaining eye contact. He handed my latte macchiato to me without looking.

"Training this future pro!" He smiled, turning to look at me from the corner of his eye. "If you have any trouble – I'll be right there." He winked, took a sip of his maple latte and walked around the corner. I followed after him, glaring at the back of his head. We had been on patrol for all of ten minutes before stopping by the small café – and then he chatted up the poor girl for nearly an hour.

"When are you going to ask her out?" I was blunt. I took a sip of my drink. He froze and turned to face me – his cheeks were bright red. He began to stammer, his right foot coming up to rub the back of his leg. I continued past him. "Should go for it."

"What do you know about women?" Redemption stalked after me. I turned to look up at him with an unimpressed face. He scoffed, realizing how silly that question was. "She's not interested in me."

"Yes, she is." I took another sip of my coffee. "She acts like Akari does when she talks about her boyfriend."

"Eh? She has a boyfriend, already?" Redemption sped up to walk in pace with me. I nodded. "What about you?"

I held my sip of coffee in my mouth as my head snapped to face him. I swallowed my drink and started to laugh, doubling over to hold my side. "As if – everyone's afraid of me."

"I'm sure not everyone," Redemption said with a wiggle of his brows as he took a sip of his drink. I sent him a glare as we continued our patrol. We wandered around Musutafu aimlessly as we sipped on our drinks. Most of the locals to the western part of the district shied away to the other side of the street while some easily struck up an energetic conversation with Redemption.

"You see since I'm the face of the company everyone relies on me to promote our public image and connect with other pros. Most of what we do is undercover work and infiltration we can't have any of our sidekicks getting recognized. If their cover is blown it could be a life or death matter. So, we're off to another agency this morning so we can trade some intel before we continue with our patrol." Redemption smiled as he crushed his empty cup. "You're perfect to do patrol since all of Japan knows your face now!" He began to laugh again, depositing his cup into a bin outside of a convenience store. I polished off my last sip before adding my own as well.

"Yeah," I said as we continued down the street towards large opulent offices, "they recognize my face so they can run the moment they see me."

"Maybe now – but that won't always be the case," Redemption failed to reassure me. We turned at the corner and entered a large building. The main floor was full of rows of desks with computers and multiple monitors. Sidekicks rushed around with stacks of papers or shouted orders and information from headsets. "Like him. He's scary and a jerk – but he gets the job done!" Redemption snapped his fingers and pointed to a large, muscular pro hero that sported a flaming beard. My jaw tightened and I swallowed hard. Great. Todoroki stood a few feet away, boredly counting the ceiling tiles.

"You always have a new villain with you," Endeavor stalked towards us, "why the Sirius brat?" He glared down at me, pointing a finger into Redemption's chest. Endeavor was barely three inches taller than him, but they were both just as broad. Todoroki stopped counting tiles and stood beside his father with a disapproving frown.

"Hey," Redemption slapped my back. I took an awkward step forward. "He knows who you are! That's fantastic – almost pro-level already."

"Of course, I know this villain. Her father was a menace, after all, killed hundreds of people, and destroyed most of the city centre." Endeavor kept his glare on me, flames growing larger and hotter. I ignored his glare and examined Todoroki. How was Endeavor his father? He looked absolutely embarrassed by his father's actions. Endeavor scoffed, "of course you'd take her of all people."

Redemption laughed and elbowed him in the side, but he did not react. "You'll be wanting her on your team soon enough! I promise you that." He turned, leading us into an elevator. Todoroki and I stood in silence as the two brutes talked. Well, really, Redemption spoke, and Endeavor ignored him. We exited onto the top floor. A large set of double doors embossed with gold stood before us.

"Stay here with the villain Shoto." Endeavor ordered as he entered his office with Redemption, locking it. Todoroki nodded lazily and took a seat on an extravagant red velvet sofa.

"How is your internship going so far?" Todoroki spoke from his spot on the sofa. My entire body tensed up and my head ducked down. I turned and pressed the side of my body up against the wall so I would not have to face him. Damn it. Why was I still so shy around my classmates? I was able to be a normal, social, human with Redemption and Phoenix. Damn it – even Hawks.

"G-good." I forced out.

"Did you hear about what happened to Iida's brother?"

"Yeah. Didn't he take an internship in Hosu too?"

"Yeah. I'm worried about him. We're going to be patrolling there tonight – hopefully, I'll run into him." I turned my head towards the wall. I watched him from the corner of my eye. His chin rested in his hands and his elbows rested on his knees. He was really worried for his friend.

"How has your internship been going?" He shrugged. "Not the easiest to get along with?"

"Not in the least. But, he is the number two hero currently and I can learn a lot from him."

"Like not to be an ass one-oh-one." I smiled as he chuckled.

"Why don't you engage in class more?"

"I'm not good with people. Especially now that everyone knows who my parents are."

Todoroki nodded. "I know it's not similar, but I can get it. People expect me to be like my old man – but that's not the type of hero, or person, that I want to be." I turned my body to face him. Katsuki's father was right.

"Shoto! It's time to patrol," the doors to Endeavor's office slammed open. Todoroki sighed and reluctantly stood.

Redemption stopped in front of me, "thanks for letting us borrow your gym for a bit!"

I glared up at my pro hero, "gym? No."

[B&M]

I hung my head as we walked through the streets of Hosu. Everything hurt. Redemption had me do a hundred reps of any exercise that he could think of. My muscles throbbed, screaming out in pain. "You're still villainous after all."

Redemption slapped me on the back. I doubled over, spine threatening to snap. "If you would've started training your body sooner it wouldn't be nearly as painful. Why does your family have such an aversion to working out?"

"Because it's painful and it's horrible," I glowered, standing upright again. I followed Redemption as we walked through the dark streets. Everything was calm and everything was normal. You could not tell that Ingenium had been viciously attacked in these streets just a week ago. "So, we're on the lookout for the hero killer? Will just the two of us be good enough to take that guy out?"

Redemption snorted, "you're not getting anywhere near him. There were only two people Sirius was afraid of – and Stain was number two. My intel says that Stain is working with another villain group. If there even is an attack tonight, I want you to break down and search this city for whoever is behind the attack and report right back. Do not engage. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollars. Recon only."

I glared at the back of his head as we walked. "Why was he afraid of Stain?"

"He has his own vision of what a true hero is. Apparently, the only individual to meet that criteria is All Might – he slaughters anyone that doesn't. Although, your mother did have a run-in with him once before her death. Stain said that he pitied her and left her alone. Never heard of that beast having an inch of a heart.

"Anyway, Stain disagreed with your father's own vision of what a world of heroes should look like. Sirius confused Stain and challenged his ideologies. He had this thing he would do to his body whenever he was in a fight or in danger. As he would put it - he 'kept his atoms on alert' at all times. He was able to react to the fastest attacks, bullets even, and spread himself apart just enough to prevent injury. Man – I've never seen anyone more confused when Stain's blade went right through him without leaving a mark. If you can figure out how he did that you'd be a shoo-in for that top pro spot!"

My father had an extreme level of control over his quirk. He must have worked tirelessly for years for that level of control. I stared down at my arms, letting them dissipate and reappear in a wave. I needed to figure out how he trained himself. "You said that our family hated working out before?"

Redemption laughed as we walked onto a slightly busier street. "Man, your father was the laziest bastard ever! I tried to get him to run with me in school and he would just float beside me." We were cut off by a large explosion. A dense rush of air pressed against us. I dug my feet into the ground to keep myself from blowing away while Redemption started running towards the explosion. "Recon time Polaris!" I nodded, letting my body dissipate into the sky above Hosu. Redemption snapped on his goggles and rushed straight for the site of the explosion.

I watched as a grey-skinned creature with large wings and an exposed brain flew past my atoms. Did Stain team up with the League of Villains? I rushed off in the direction that the creature had flown from. How many of those Nomu did they have? Did they all possess the same quirks or were some of them special variants? I soared high above the city, scanning the buildings and streets below. I counted three Nomus in total: the flying one, a large muscular black one, and another smaller grey creature without wings. Dozens of heroes and sidekicks were trying to fend them off – Endeavor and Todoroki included.

My breath caught in my throat as my gaze landed on the top of a water tower. It was the League. Shigaraki and his friend Kurogiri stood on the roof, watching the chaos below. I rushed towards them, forming my body from the waist up in the space in front of them. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Shigaraki stood up from his crouched position, hands adorning his body. "It's the brat again – Polaris isn't it. Don't my Nomu make such great playthings?" How had he heard of my hero name already?

"They seem to be great for All Might to destroy," I smiled at him sweetly. His eyes lowered into a glare.

"What do you want brat?" Shigaraki spat.

I shrugged, crossing my arms in front of my chest. "Heard you teamed up with Stain."

He let out a low laugh. "Tried. We didn't, exactly, see eye to eye."

I smirked – thank you Redemption. "What? Didn't want to kill the one true hero? What a shame." Shigaraki frowned.

"Fair warning child," Kurogiri spoke, "keep your nose out if you don't want to be harmed." I struck a chord.

I uncrossed my arms and placed them on my hips, "is Stain even here?"

Shigaraki opened his mouth to speak but Kurogiri cut him off. "Don't, you're still injured." Shit. That was all the information I was going to be able to get out of them.

"He is here," I said sternly, Shigaraki scratched at his neck. He had to be in Hosu still. I dissipated my body and rushed back to where the explosion had gone off. Redemption was running in and out of the nearby buildings carrying civilians out. I solidified myself in his path to where his rescued civilians stood being checked over my other heroes.

"Polaris," Redemption shouted as he set the three in his arms down. "What did you find?"

"It's the League of Villains. Stain is here too," I replied. "Shigaraki's still injured from USJ – he's just watching his Nomus."

He nodded. "Search for Stain. Come get me when you find him. Do not engage him." I dissipated my body again, flying over the city and scanning the streets and alleys. The city was in chaos. Vehicles and buildings were burning and smoking. I soared over Hosu, watching for any abnormalities. It took a few minutes, but a large billow of fire erupted from an alley. A large block of ice appeared next. That had to be Todoroki. He and Endeavor must have found something. I rushed to the alley, my atoms floating between the two buildings. The pro, Native, laid in a crumpled pile next to Iida. Todoroki stood in the centre of the alley throwing his ice and fire at Stain while Midoriya attempted to fight him fist to blade. Why were my classmates taking Stain on?

Midoriya became unable to move and slouched against the wall. Stain rushed at him with his swords. I held my breath and rushed in, dissipating his blades, and rushed back to the top of the buildings – letting his swords reform on the roof. Todoroki sent a wave of fire at him. Stain stared at his empty hands in fury as he dodged Todoroki's flame. "Damn Sirius." Midoriya's eyes explored the alley quickly. I needed to get Redemption here, fast. I rushed away from the alley and back to where he had been last.

"Redemption," I shouted as I let my entire body reappear, rushing to where he stood amongst sidekicks from varying agencies, "we need to go now!" My boots clicked along the cement.

He faced me, his lips hardening into a thin line. "Check the other buildings and ensure all of the civilians have been evacuated and checked for injuries." He nodded. I heaved a heavy breath and let myself breakdown from the outside in. He rushed after me as I headed back to my classmates. It took me a few moments to get to Redemption, and it would be a few more to get Redemption to the alley as well. Please don't die before we get there.

I stopped on top of the building above the fight, Stain's blades crossed beside my feet. Redemption stopped beside me, staring down into the alley. I looked over the edge. Todoroki, Iida, and Midoriya had managed to knock Stain unconscious and captured him. I let myself fall back onto my butt letting out a sigh of relief. Thank god. Iida was heavily injured in his arms and Midoriya had to be carried by Native. His lower leg was bloody.

"That class of yours is sure interesting," Redemption whispered as he watched them. "It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next few years. Aw shit, there's another one." I sat up, watching as the flying Nomu I had come across earlier nose-dived on the boys and a group of sidekicks. He picked up Midoriya from Native's back and took off. I broke myself down and rushed after them. Before I had an opportunity to reform myself to help – Stain broke free of his restraints and stabbed the Nomu through the brain. The three crashed to the ground, grinding against the sidewalk as they slid a few meters. My atoms floated a few feet from Stain, his hand on Midoriya's back.

I watched as Endeavor came around the corner, lighting up his arm in a ball of flame. Stain rose, mask falling to the ground as he faced them, and glared at the group, "false hero. I'll make this right." He took a step forward. "These streets must run with the blood of hypocrites. Hero – I will reclaim that word. Come on, just try and stop me you fakes. There is only one man that I'll let kill me. All Might is worthy!" Everyone stood frozen in fear as Stain slowly advanced on them. Even Endeavor looked as if he was about to soil his pants. Why were they so afraid of him? Three high school students had captured him the first time and there were many more professionals around at this very moment. If anything, his reputation was far too overblown for him.

Stain dropped his knife, eyes rolling into the back of his head as he froze on the spot. I let myself reform back on the roof, beside Redemption. He had fallen to the ground, brow sweating. "Is he really that scary?"

Redemption's head snapped to face me, his brows furrowed in confusion, "did you not feel all of that villainous pressure he exuded?" I looked over the edge once more before shaking my head. He let out an exasperated sigh. "Damn it. Maybe it wasn't a good thing Sirius brought you around so much. You've got no fear of villains. He should've made you crap your pants. Man lets go back and help clean up. They can take care of that." I nodded, rushing back to the center of the disaster on his heels.

[B&M]

I laid on the bottom bunk in the girl's dorm in the dark, scrolling through Instagram. Hawks had followed me back. We had returned from Hosu at two in the morning once the disaster had been wrapped up. Stain and the Nomu were taken into custody. My feed was full of images of the smoke-filled sky, the large apartment fire, and latte art. My phone vibrated, a small one popping up beside my inbox. Weird, no one ever messaged me. I only posted photos of my latte art and plating skills when I was working and had a few likes from random strangers, but no one ever messaged me. Akari did not even follow me – but I followed her. I tapped on the icon, an image of a smiling All Might in his silver age costume as their profile picture. It was Midoriya. How had he found me? My username was an uncreative coffee reference and there were no photos of me on my account.

Deku: You were in Hosu today, weren't you? Thanks for the help!

He did recognize me from the move I pulled.

2Latte: How did you find me?

Deku: Iida follows you, he gave me your username.

I dropped my phone on my face, avoiding my nose thankfully. Ow. I picked it back up and quickly scanned through my whopping fifty followers. His name IidaT was on my follower's list. How long has he been following me? I tapped on his name and scanned the list of who he followed. He had all of the class and Akari. He must have added both of us while we were in middle school together. Weird how I never noticed.

Deku: Here's my number XXX-XXX-XXXX we can keep in touch! :]

2Latte: Thanks.

Deku: Were you hurt?

2Latte: No.

Deku: How's your internship with Redemption going?

2Latte: Good.

Deku: He was your Dad's old partner, right? Must be awesome!

I smiled.

2Latte: Yeah. It is.

Are you okay?

Deku: Just some scratches and my leg. I'll be fine though. I would be worse if you hadn't stopped by.

I activated my lock screen and rolled over, placing my phone under my pillow. A moment later it vibrated. I pulled my phone out, clicked the button on the side and saw a notification from Instagram. I had a new follower. Weird. I unlocked my phone again and clicked on the notification. Todoroki followed me. Why were they following me? My account was boring. I sighed, copying Midoriya's number and added it into my phone, sending him a good night text. He responded back with an All Might emoji.
