I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the Main OC and any other OC's that will appear in the story. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.
Chapter Thirty-Five
The day may have been over but the night was still young. The owl house was getting hotter by the second. Danielle's magic was rolling off her in waves, tossing and turning in bed in pain. It got to the point that Danielle left the crossroads and woke up screaming.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" screamed Danielle, her hazel green eyes looking like there was a white film over them and white wisps in the corner of her eyes. "Fa male! Fa male! Fallo smettere! Fallo smettere!"
"Danielle!" said Luz and King, running from their room and seeing Danielle convulsing in pain.
Running into Danielle's room, Luz and King try and keep Danielle still, trying to calm her down to no avail. Eda and Lilith come running down the hallway and straight into Danielle's room. The basilisk however had to run out of the house and was looking up at the window to Danielle's room.
"Fa male! Fa male!" screamed Danielle, crying with tears flowing from her eyes.
"What's going on?" asked Eda, only to bend down and grab Danielle's wrists. "Danielle, calm down. Calm down."
"Troppo, è troppo!" screamed Danielle, struggling against Eda, Luz and King hold. "Fallo smettere!"
"Has this happened before?" asked Lilith, walking over and trying to see if she could grab hold of Danielle.
"No, it hasn't," replied Eda, before having to pull Danielle close to her. "Danielle, calm down, it's going to be okay."
"Magia, la mia magia..." screamed Danielle, struggling to get loose. "Fa male!"
"Magia… magia…" said Luz, gasping upon realizing what the word meant before pronouncing it differently. "Magia means magic, it's the same in Spanish only pronounced differently. Is her magic hurting her?"
"I think it is," said Lilith, seeing Danielle's flesh tear from her chin to her cheek revealing the astral like part of the Young Girl underneath before seeing other areas beginning to tear as well. "How do we stop this?"
"Wait, if her magic is hurting her maybe we just need to take some of it away," said King, opening the window and looking at the basilisk. "Hey X, get up here. We kinda need your help."
"Are you crazy?" shouted X, backing away from the house. "You're signing my death warrant if you're asking me to take some of her magic."
"Weh?" said King, confused.
"Her magic is saturating the whole house and the fact it's a helluva lot stronger than before," shouted X, staring at King before having to back up more. "I'll be dead just from a single whiff."
"Looks like my idea a no go," said King, hopping down from the window.
"Her magic is making the house a sauna," said Luz, fanning her face. "How are we supposed to help Danielle if we know nothing how her magic works."
"I think I may know someone," said Eda, standing while holding Danielle who was still struggling and screaming. "Owlbert!"
Owlbert comes flying out of Eda's hair and takes staff form. Eda mounts her staff while holding Danielle before flying down the hallway and out of the owl house. Lilith, Luz and King follow suit on Lilith's staff. Hooty and X watch concern as they fly away. Flying towards a large dense forest, Eda navigates through the trees as best she can while trying to hold Danielle who had seemed to stop struggling but was now breathing heavy. Seeing a certain tree, Eda flies down and jumps off her staff while carrying Danielle towards a door that was on the tree. Owlbert had flown in through a window on the tree and hooted loudly for the resident. Blair walks out from a nearby room with a potion bottle in hand.
"Owlbert what are you doing here?" asked Blair, before hearing Eda slam her door open. "I have a doorbell."
"I don't have time for doorbells right now," said Eda, shifting Danielle better in her arms. "I need your help."
"This can't be good," said Blair, staring at a very pale Danielle before gesturing to a specific room. "Over here, lay her down."
Laying Danielle on the bed, Eda watches Blair check on Danielle. Lilith, Luz, and King finally arrive and head inside but are told to wait out in the other room. Blair looks at the tears on Danielle's body closely.
"I see," said Blair, eyeing the tears. "The girl's magic is increased to a point that her body can't hold it."
"Any way to take some of it away?" asked Eda, staring at Danielle.
"Even if we were to siphon her magic, it would still be increasing," said Blair, writing down her findings. "We'd have to wait for her magic to stabilize and stop growing before doing such a thing. It's not going to stop any time soon. Best thing to do right now is watch over her."
"Meaning long night," said Eda, deeply sighing.
"Can we come in now?" asked Luz, peering from the door.
"Come on in," said Blair, gesturing them in. "But please be quiet, my daughter and sons are sleeping upstairs."
"Okay," said Luz, waving Lilith and King over and walking into the room. "Is there anything we can do to help?"
"I've already told Eda to watch over her," said Blair, still writing while looking at Danielle. "I'd get some fire bee honey, her throat is going to be sore."
"Might as well get her back to the owl house," said Eda, about to pick Danielle up.
"I'd prefer her staying overnight to be on the safe side," said Blair, fanning herself. "She'll be safe here, I assure you."
"Danielle was screaming up a storm back at the owl house," said Eda, looking at Blair.
"I'll put up a sound proof barrier then," said Blair, staring at Eda than Danielle. "I'll also be staying in this room to monitor her condition."
Sighing, Eda trusts Blair with Danielle and heads back to the owl house with the others. Blair had a long night ahead of her. There were various points Danielle would wake up screaming before passing out. By the time morning arrived, the tears had closed up and Danielle had calmed down.
"Mmm… mmm… huh?" said Danielle, her voice really hoarse and waking up before looking around. "Where… where am I?"
"Don't worry, you're safe, I assure you," said Blair, still writing while looking at Danielle. "I know your throat is probably hurting you but can you tell me what the pain was like."
"Uh… like… um…" said Danielle, gripping the blanket. "Like the plasma… in a plasma ball… but more intense… a-and like what a puddle looks… like during a… Category 5 hurricane…. combined… that is."
"I don't know what the first one is but from the sounds of it the latter sounds like a really bad storm," said Blair, writing down what was said. "Anything else?"
"No… nothing for you to know," replied Danielle, laying down and looking away before thinking. "She doesn't need to know what just happened within my mind."
"Alright, why don't you rest for a bit," said Blair, putting down her pen. "I'mma gonna check on my daughter and sons then I'll get some breakfast going. Pancakes okay with you?"
"Mmmhmmm," replied Danielle, nodding her head yes and seeing Blair leave the room before covering her head with the blanket. "I don't want to believe it. I won't. I'm me and no one else. I'm not… Li-Li… Light."
