The drive to Ravendale was quiet with Hank occasionally glancing at Leah and her avoiding eye contact.

'Shit… I really fucked up earlier. She only gets that quiet when she's hurting.' Hank thought as Precious by Depeche Mode played on the radio.

Hank turned the engine off before they got out of the car, Leah pulling the hood of her coat onto her head to avoid getting soaked as they saw Gavin and Nines get out of Gavin's patrol car.

Gavin and Leah glanced at each other and Gavin knew she was hurting.

'Goddamn it, Hank!' Gavin thought angrily before he turned to Nines. "Which place do you think we should check first, the abandoned house or the motel?" He asked reluctantly.

"The abandoned house." Nines responded before they walked to it.

Hank walked to the bus driver that was getting out of the bus as Leah walked into the convenience store with Connor following her, the cashier looking at them.

"Take your android boyfriend and get out of here." The cashier replied before Leah pulled the hood of her coat down and showed him her badge. "Oh… I'm sorry, I thought-"

"Yeah, I'd be jumpy if I got robbed too." Leah responded before she clipped her badge back to her left jeans pocket. "Did anything seem out of place at first about the AX400?" She asked.

"I couldn't tell she was an android at first, she was dressed normal. I told her I didn't know of any shelters that she and the little girl could stay at." The cashier responded.

"There was a child with her?" Leah asked.

"Yes, about 9 years old with brown hair and brown eyes." The cashier explained.

"That's all for now." Leah responded before she and Connor left and walked to the car.

"We've got officers sweeping the neighborhood, in case anybody saw anything." Ben explained after Hank let the bus driver walk away.

"Okay. Well, let me know if they turn anything up." Hank responded before they saw Leah and Connor.

"What are you gonna do with that? It seems really attached to Leah already." Ben replied.

"It does…" Hank responded before he walked to them. "Anything from the supermarket cashier?" He asked.

"The AX400 didn't run off alone, there's a little girl with her." Leah explained.

"Shit… makes things much more complicated with a child involved." Hank responded. "About earlier, Babydoll-"

"Let's just stick to finding them." Leah explained, Hank letting it go for now and the three walking into the motel before Hank showed his badge to the owner.

"Lieutenant Anderson, Detroit Police. We're looking for a female android, robbed a store down the road last night. You see anything?" Hank responded.

"An android? No, I don't take androids here." Joseph explained before Connor showed him a picture.

"Have you seen anyone that looks like this?" Connor questioned.

"Fuck… I knew there was something weird about her. She came in last night with a little girl… she was dressed normal, you know. There was no way I could tell." Joseph responded.

"Are they still here?" Leah asked.

"Yeah, probably, room 28." Joseph responded before the three walked outside and Hank grabbed his phone, calling Ben.

"Hank?"

"Ben, yeah, it's still at the motel. Send some uniforms and cordon off the area. I'm heading to its room now." Hank explained before they hung up and he turned to Leah and Connor. "You two wait here." He responded.

"Out of the question. We're going with you." Connor replied, Hank turning agitated.

"Listen, I'm tired of you talking back to me like she does! You're a machine, so shut the fuck up and do what I say!" Hank snapped.

"We're on this case too, you sore headed son of a bitch!" Leah responded angrily, Nines turning to Gavin as they stopped nearby.

"Is this normal?" Nines asked.

"Not really. Occasionally, they'll argue but not about cases." Gavin responded as Hank, Leah and Connor walked up the motel stairs and to the room.

Leah had her right hand on her gun and Hank motioned for her and Connor to stay quiet before he opened the door and kept his gun aimed around the room as they walked into it… and he turned to them.

"It's gone…" Hank replied before Leah saw the candy bars and toy fox that were left behind.

"Looks like we just missed them." Leah responded before they left the room and walked downstairs.

Towards the back of the motel, Kara readjusted the hat on her short blonde hair and held Alice's left hand.

"Be ready to run if we have to, okay?" Kara asked quietly.

"Okay." Alice whispered before they looked towards the street and saw the cops patrolling the area.

Kara kept her close before they saw cops and his as Kara grabbed an umbrella and opened it to shield them.

Kara closed it and put it back before they saw one of the train cars drive by and they carefully walked towards the train station without being noticed.

They reached the platform as a train stopped and the doors opened before they got into the train and the doors closed… and Kara crouched down to Alice, resting her hands on Alice's shoulders.

"Are you okay?" Kara asked.

Alice nodded and they hugged as the train left the Ravendale station behind.

Back at the precinct, Hank turned away from the case file he was holding and looked at Leah and Connor.

"I can believe we lost them. First Ortiz's android self destructs, now this." Connor responded quietly, Leah resting her right hand on Connor's back and they looked at each other.

"It's not your fault. Sometimes no matter how hard we try, we don't always catch them. Doesn't help to beat yourself up over this." Leah replied.

Connor rested his right hand on her left knee, lightly rubbing it before they stood up from the edge of her desk and her right hand brushed against his left hand.

Hank sat down and opened the case file from last night, noticing that Todd didn't mention a little girl in his statement and he closed the case file and walked to the records room.

He opened it, finding Todd's criminal record and opening the file… and turning angered at how the repetitive domestic violence charges that were filed were never followed up with any further action until he saw a report of Todd's wife Rylee taking their then 6 year old daughter Alice with her and running off.

"Hank?"

Hank looked up and saw Fowler walk in before Fowler sat down and Hank showed the criminal record to him.

"The motel owner said there was a child on the run with the android but Todd's only child left with her mom five years ago." Hank explained.

"You think he bought a child android…" Fowler responded.

"We need to bring Todd back in for questioning, see what else he's lying about." Hank replied before he put the criminal record back.

In Corktown, Hank, Leah and Connor got out of the car and closed and locked it before Leah walked up the steps of the Williams house and Hank and Connor walked to the right side of the house before the three heard a crashing sound

Leah kicked the door open and ran at Todd, dodging the bat that Todd swung at her and kicking it out of his hands before Todd ran towards the backyard, stopping when he saw Hank and Connor.

"Going somewhere, Williams?!" Hank growled angrily before Todd turned around and saw Leah with her gun aimed at him.

"Face the goddamn wall, hands above your head!" Leah demanded, Todd doing so and Leah pulling his arms behind him and handcuffing him after putting her gun away and searching his pockets before she found a bag of red ice. "You're under arrest for attempted assault on a police officer, giving police false information about a crime, attempting to run and possession of red ice! You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand these rights as I've read them to you?!" She responded.

"Fucking crazy bitch!" Todd retorted, Leah dragging him outside and Hank and Connor following after her as Gavin's patrol car pulled up.

Leah shoved Todd into the back of the car and slammed the door as Gavin got out and walked over to her.

"You alright, Red?" Gavin asked.

"Yeah. Get that son of a bitch out of my sight, let him dry out in a cell." Leah responded.

Gavin nodded and drove off with Todd as Leah walked back to Hank and Connor.

"That's my girl. I taught you well." Hank replied.

"Yes you did. Let's get back to the precinct." Leah responded before they left.

She filled out the arrest report and filed it, Fowler nodding in approval before he walked back into his office as Hank walked to Leah.

"Take a break, kiddo, you look like you need it. I'll buy lunch today." Hank replied.

"You better actually mean that, Hank." Leah responded before they hugged and Leah sat down.

Connor walked toe Leah as Hank went to go get the car, Connor sitting down next to Leah.

They looked at each other, her right hand resting on his left hand.
