Hello Guys, just a quick announcement. I might not be able to post next week since school is kicking me in ass right now, so there might not be a chapter next week but I will still be working on the chapter. Anyways lets get to the reviews.

Chapter 17

To Move Forward

Izuku and Tatsumi stood there in the rain, Izuku was absorbing the news. 'Bulat is dead?' The thought kept replaying in Izuku's mind. He couldn't believe it, why? He failed again, he couldn't protect his friends which led to someone dying.

Izuku clenched his fist, he couldn't save him. "Wh...what happened," Izuku solemnly asked. Tatsumi tightened his grip on his left arm, "Bulat fought his old teacher, he injected poison into himself and he had a Teigu that could control water… then he…" Tatsumi didn't want to relive that moment again. Tatsumi stayed silent but fortunately Izuku put the pieces together.

Izuku looked at the sword that Tatsumi had, it was silver and black and in between the hilt and the blade was a red circle that had a black cross in the middle. At the end of the hilt was a small chain connected to the hilt. "Is that…" Izuku spoke up again. Tatsumi looked at the blade, "This was Aniki's Teigu… he gave it to me before he…" Tatsumi started to choke on his words. He was broken, he lost his childhood friends and now his teacher, the one he admired.

Izuku didn't know what to do, this was the first time he lost someone so close to him before. Tatsumi was hurting even more than he was, Izuku was stuck, he didn't know what to do or say. Izuku put his hand on Tatsumi's shoulder, "Let's head back to the base before anyone finds us," Izuku then turned around only to be stopped by Tatsumi. "Wait...before we go back, can we give Aniki a proper burial," Tatsumi desperately looked at Izuku. Izuku nodded, he knew it was dangerous but he didn't like the fact that if the imperial army found it they would do something horrible to Bulat's resting body.

Tatsumi equipped Incursio as Izuku activated 20% Full Cowling. Izuku then started to follow where Tatsumi headed. Tatsumi stopped at a nearby dock, away from eyewitnesses. Izuku saw the resting body of Bulat, he peacefully laid there at the dock with a smile on his face, like he accomplished what he wanted. "I took him off the boat before anyone could spot us," Tatsumi explained.

Izuku kneeled by Bulat's body, Izuku clenched his fists. His tears started to stream down his face, he closed his eyes as he felt a wave of guilt wash over him. 'If only, I could've been there, I could've saved him and Tatsumi, but I…' Izuku started to feel his heart ache. Tatsumi placed his hands on his shoulder, Tatsumi was trying to hold his tears back, "Let's...let's get out of here," Tatsumi choked out. Izuku nodded, he pulled his mask over his face as they both hoisted Bulat over their shoulders.

Tatsumi equipped Incursio as Izuku activated 20% One for All and launched upwards as they jumped building to building. While they were returning to the base, Izuku had a lot of thoughts running through his head. But they weren't analytic, they were more negative thoughts. Izuku started to blame himself, he started to doubt that he had the strength to save everyone, even though he was given this power to save, he questioned himself again, 'Why… why couldn't I save him, am I… really worthy of this power?' Izuku asked himself.

Night Raid Base

Akame was sitting at the training ground watching Leone beating the snot out of Lubbock for peeking, Eri was sleeping on her lap as she cuddled against Akame, she slept peacefully. Mein and Sheele were aweing as Eri's sleeping form was literally bursting their hearts. They occasionally wanted to poke Eri's cheek but Akame swatted their hands away instantly. Akame occasionally stroked Eri's hair as it would comfort Eri even more.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! I'm sorry please have mercy!" Lubbock screamed, but Leone stomped on his back as she pulled his right arm, "Shut up Lubba, there's a sleeping child," Leone mercilessly stomped on him again. To Lubbock's surprise, Eri was still sleeping peacefully during all the ruckus.

Najenda was in her office as she sorted some papers and letters out, reading them each carefully. She stretched a bit as she walked out of her office and went outside to smoke for a bit. As she walked outside she pulled a cigarette out with her lighter, she stuck the cigarette in her mouth as she was about to light it until she saw two silhouettes coming out of the forest.

Najenda then grabbed the cigar out of her mouth, "Took you guys long enough," she said as Izuku and Tatsumi walked out of the forest but then her eyes widened, she spots the two of them carrying Bulat. She looked at the two facial expressions as they had solemn looks and looks of grief and regret. She knew from the glance of their faces, Bulat had passed on.

Izuku and Tatsumi laid Bulat's body gently on the ground. Najenda placed an arm around their shoulders and pulled them into a hug, "You both did good, rest up," She tried to comfort them but to no avail. They nodded as they headed inside, Najenda kneeled down as she looked at Bulat, "You completed the mission until the very end, rest, we'll finish what we started," Najenda placed her hands on Bulat's head as he laid there peacefully. She remembered his words before he embarked in the mission.

"Tatsumi is strong, there is so much potential in him, I'm sure he can surpass me, Izuku, he's dangerously smart, he can study ones moves and tries to apply it to his techniques, if he masters his Teigu, no doubt, he'll become a force to reckon with. But what's even more impressive is that both of them have each other's back, it's like they're brothers, they'll go through lengths to support each other. That's what makes both of them so strong," Those were Bulats final moments, Bulat saw something great in the two boys. Najenda wanted to nourish their growth.

Izuku slowly walked towards his room as he felt the energy in him drained, so did Tatsumi, Izuku knew Tatsumi was hurting more than he did, he wanted to comfort Tatsumi but he too, was feeling down. Izuku walked into his room as he fell on his bed. Izuku then started to slowly drift to sleep as he didn't bother trying to resist the tiredness.

Tatsumi sat on his bed as he held Bulat's Teigu or however his Teigu now. To him this was a gift from Bulat, Tatsumi gritted his teeth as he started to cry once more, 'Why… if only I was strong enough...I could have helped him… but… I'm so damn weak, damn it!' Tatsumi berated himself as he let the tears fall down onto the floor. "Hah! Look at you, you look broken, how are you going to do missions from now on," a voice came from the door, Tatsumi turned to see Mein standing there. "Mein…" Tatsumi looked at her for a brief moment. "I'm not in the mood," Tatsumi stated as Mein stood there, "I heard about Bulat…" Mein spoke up as she walked towards him.

Tatsumi clenched the blade as he felt hopeless, "I could've done something, I could've-" "Or what jump in front of him and die," Mein interrupted. Tatsumi turned his head towards her as she sat next to him, "He was stronger than me, you guys don't need me, he was way better than me, he could've survived-" Tatsumi was then interrupted by a slap that echoed in the room. Tatsumi widened his eyes, he looked at Mein as she was on the brink of breaking down, "Don't you dare finish that sentence," she threatened.

She grabbed the scuffs of his shirt as she pulled him close, "Why do you think Bulat wanted you to survive huh?! Because he saw something in you that we all see and that's the will to fight on, Bulat wouldn't want you to weep about the past, you need to move forward Tatsumi, Bulat wanted you to grow into something more, so don't you ever say that ever again!" Mein shouted at him. Tatsumi widened his eyes. He was surprised to see Mein this emotional, he rarely saw it as she would always pick a fight against him.

Tatsumi gritted his teeth, he then lifted his hand and formed a fist. He then brought his fist to his face as he punched himself and fell to the floor. Mein, baffled by the event, "What the hell, why did you do that you idiot, are you okay?" She asked. Tatsumi rubbed his face, "Yeah I'm okay, I just needed to give myself a wake up call," he stood up, "I'm done being weak, from now on I'm going to become stronger, to protect the friends I have right now, I'll protect you all, whatever it takes," Tatsumi exclaimed. Mein stared at him as a blush grew on her face. Tatsumi's face then distorted into a confused look, "Hey what's wrong are you sick," Tatsumi asked.

Mein snapped out of it as she turned away from, "Yeah I'm fine, as long as you get it, everyone in Night Raid is family, so we'll have your back as well," Mein then walked out of his room. Tatsumi smiled as he looked at Incursio, "Aniki, I'll make you proud, I promise,"

Izuku's Room

Izuku woke up in the middle of the night. He looked at himself as he was still wearing his hero suit, he then got up and changed into a more comfortable attire. Izuku then walked out of his room and went to the kitchen to get water. Little did he know two people were still awake. As Izuku walked into the kitchen he spotted Eri and Akame in the kitchen. He stopped as both of them looked at him.

Izuku didn't want to worry them so he put a fake smile on, "Oh hey, I'm guessing you guys are getting midnight snacks?" Izuku asked. Akame nodded, Eri looked at Izuku, she heard the news about Bulat and was devastated at the new info. Izuku walked towards them as he grabbed a cup and filled it with water. Izuku took a sip as he sat down at the table.

He sat there wanting to be alone, but Akame and Eri had other plans. Akame grabbed a plate of chicken and sat next to Izuku, Eri sat at the other side of him. "Izuku," Akame spoke up. Izuku turned towards her, "Y-yeah what's up," Izuku asked. Akame pointed at him, "You're crying," she pointed out Izuku then moved his right hand to feel his face. He then felt something wet, as Akame stated, he was crying. He didn't even know, Izuku clenched his fist so hard that his nails dug into his palm.

Akame saw this as she gently placed her hands on his right hand and held it. Izuku then stopped and released some pressure on his hand. Izuku bit his lips, "I… I could have been there, if only I wasn't so distracted, if only I was fast enough." Akame looked at him as he started to grief even more, "How can I even save people if I can't even save one person?" Izuku asked himself. "Can I-" Izuku was then pulled into a hug as Akame wrapped her arms around Izuku's head and gently pulled him close.

Izuku then blushed as his face was in between Akame's breasts, but he also felt warmth in the embrace. It made him calm, Akame placed her chin on his head, "Izuku, you can't blame yourself for everything, Bulat wouldn't want that," Akame whispered loud enough for him to hear. Izuku drooped his arms down, "But-" "No buts, Izuku, you have to move forward, Bulat sacrificed himself in order for us to carry on, you may not be an assassin but you are an important comrade to the team, to Eri, and to me as well, it hurts to see you like this, so please," Akame interrupted and let go of Izuku's head and placed her hand on his right cheek.

"Smile for me," Akame gently smiled at him. Izuku was awestruck as he didn't know what to do, after all she had done for him, he was blessed with so many people who supported him. Izuku's tears started to form again as he wiped them away. He then meekly smiled, "I'll...try," Izuku stated. He then felt a hug on his stomach as he looked down to see Eri hugging him, "Deku-san, you saved me, so now it's my turn to save you," Eri exclaimed. Izuku smiled as he looked up to Akame. She was smiling as well, Izuku then felt his heartbeat once more. He didn't know what this was but he had an idea of it.

Every time Akame smiled at him, it was like the worries that were drowning him were washed away. Izuku blushed again as he finally found the answer to the reason why he felt like this when Akame was ever near him or always smiling at him, he was in love with her. It was clear to him now he fell in love with her, after Akame dealt with Zank. But right now wasn't a really good time as Eri was in front of them. Izuku scratched his cheek, "Um Akame," Izuku spoke up.

"Hm?" Akame tilted her head, "Um you think we can….h-h-h-hug e-e-each o-other again," Izuku stuttered. Eri and Akame smiled. Without warning Akame wrapped her arms around Izuku's head again and pulled him in once more. This time Izuku wrapped his arms around Akame's waist as Eri was in between them enjoying both of their warmth. Izuku then started to fall into a slumber. Akame then laid her head on his again, as she lightly stroked his hair. Akame's heart was beating as she continued embracing the green headed hero. Eri also slept in between the two as she felt warm.

The three then feel asleep into a deep sleep, enjoy each others embrace.

While all of this happened, Leone stood outside of the kitchen as she smiled, "Not bad, not bad at all, Akame," Leone whispered as she headed back into her room.

Also one more thing, do think Incursio is an equal to One for All 20% or is it stronger, let me know. That help give me ideas on the upcoming chapters.
