Chapter 19

The Reveal and Awakening

Izuku stared at his new gauntlets as he moved and stretched his hands for a bit. "These gauntlets work like the ones Melissa gave me, and apparently they look similar, just the color scheme is different," Izuku muttered. He then tried to revert them back into bracelets but there was one problem, "How do I get these off?" Izuku asked. Izuku checked the gauntlets for a button but there were no buttons and knuckles weren't helping either.

As Izuku kept trying to find a way to revert the knuckles back, Najenda walked into the tent he stayed in, "Having trouble with your gauntlets?" Najenda asked. Izuku jumped a little as he looked at Najenda, "Haha… yeah…" Izuku groaned as he put his head down. Najenda sighed, "Just think about unequipping it or deactivating it," Najenda stated as if she knew what he was trying to do. Izuku looked at her then at the gauntlets, he then closed his eyes. 'Deactivate, deactivate, deactivate…' Izuku kept repeating the words in his head as he thought of the image of deactivating it.

He opened his eyes to see if anything changed. But sadly the gauntlets were still there. He sighed, "How am I supposed to unequip this," Izuku sighed but as soon as he said that the gauntlets glowed green and began shrinking into the form of a bracelet. Izuku widened his eyes as he stared at his arms. They were now visible and not covered in a metallic white bandage.

"Looks like there's a voice activation and deactivation for it," Najenda explained. Izuku then looked at the bracelets as he stared at them, 'If It's voice activation then,' Izuku thought as he held his arms up. "Equip," in response to his word the bracelets reformed into the gauntlets once again.

Izuku sighed as he figured out how to deactivate his brand new support item or his Teigu. But Izuku was still slumped on his new weapons, 'How did the first emperor create something like this, they couldn't have the same concept and also did someone else wield these 1000 years ago?' Izuku asked himself. 'And why isn't it recorded into the data books on Teigus,' Izuku kept asking questions in his mind.

Najenda cleared her throat as it snapped Izuku out of his thoughts. "Now before we helped the father and son from those Spector Raptors, you didn't answer my questions," Najenda reminded him. Izuku flinched, "What is One for All and where do you really come from," Najenda questioned.

Izuku gulped as he now had to explain. 'Do I tell her the truth, or do I stall?' Izuku brainstormed solutions but he sighed. 'No it's time she knew the truth, if it weren't for her and Night Raid, I'd be dead right now in this world,' Izuku concluded. "Alright, I'll tell you the truth," Izuku finally spoke up. Najenda then got comfortable because she had a feeling this was going to be a long story.

After explaining his story

Izuku sighed as he looked back at Najenda, she had a neutral face. It stayed that way for a few minutes, "So...you're not from another country, but from another world," Najenda spoke up. Izuku nodded, "And your world is filled with people who were born with powers called Quirks," Najenda continued. Izuku once again nodded, Najenda then rubbed her head. "But didn't you say that your mentor gave you those powers" Najenda stated, Izuku nodded, "He gave me a chance to become the person I want to be, if it weren't for him, I'd probably be living my life as a civilian," Izuku explained.

Najenda sighed as sat down on a chair. She pulled a cigarette out as he lit it, she had a lot going through in her mind right now. "So… what's your plan after we overthrow the Empire," Najenda asked. Izuku looked up at her, he stopped to think, 'Wait, how am I going to return home after all of this,' Izuku thought, Izuku sat there in silence as he was now wondering on 'how' to get home.

"You don't know, do you," Najenda guessed. Izuku shook his head, "It's that I don't know and it's whether if I can return home is the issue, I have to return Eri home as well," Izuku answered. Najenda looked at him, she nodded as he took a quick puff of her cigarette. "That is an issue, but for now don't look too much into the future, it'll distract you from missions," Najenda stated.

Izuku nodded, "While we leave in the morning, why don't you familiarize yourself with the new recruits, you need to memorize their faces," Najenda suggested Izuku nodded.

Izuku stood up and deactivated his gauntlets as headed out of the tent. Najenda waited for him to leave, and as soon as he left she sighed and lifted her prosthetic arm to her face. She closed her eyes as she reopened them, "A world of heroes and villains huh?" Najenda muttered.

As Izuku went to go find the new recruits, he instantly met Susanoo. Izuku walked out of the tent and turned, only to be met with the blue haired Teigu. Izuku was startled for a bit as he looked up, "Oh, uh hi… Susanoo was it?" Izuku greeted him.

Susanoo looked down and nodded, Izuku weakly smiled as his stare was intimidating. 'I know he's a Teigu but he's intimidating!' Izuku shouted in his mind. Susanoo then saw that Izuku's hero suit was wrinkled slightly, it wasn't noticeable but it was there. Susanoo then swiftly hovered his hands over Izuku. The green haired boy on the other hand was confused about what he's doing.

Susanoo then swiftly but gently straightened his suit and dusted off some dirt. "There, all clean," Susanoo nodded as he seemed satisfied with his work. Izuku was confused as he sweatdropped a little, "Okay then," Izuku stuck his hand out towards Susanoo, Susanoo looked at it as he was confused, "I'm Izuku Midoriya, um it's a pleasure to be working with you," Izuku smiled at him. Susanoo continued to stare as he looked back and forth to his hand and him. Susanoo then took it and a smile gently creased his face, "Indeed," they shook hands for a bit.

Then Izuku realized something, he had all the time to ask Susanoo questions. Izuku swiftly pulled a notebook out of his bag, wherever he got that from, and flipped towards a blank page. He then looked up at Susanoo with stars in his eyes, "Susanoo do mind if I ask you a couple of questions," Izuku happily asked. Susanoo shook his head, "Not at all,"

As Najenda walked out of the tent, she then looked to her right as she saw Izuku and Susanoo sitting on a nearby bench and talking to each other. She looked at what was in Izuku's hand, she sighs as she sees him jotting down stuff on his notebook. "He's an interesting one," a voice popped out behind her, Najenda nodded. "He's a weird fellow but I think that's what charms him to others," Najenda stated. Chelsea then walked out of a dark corner as she chewed on a lollipop. "But with that much enthusiasm and his ideals, it'll get him killed," Chelsea warned her. Najenda sighed, "Hopefully, it doesn't have to come to that," Najenda prayed as she stared at the green haired hero.

Next Day

As the sun rose, Izuku packed his things as he made sure he had everything with him. He nodded, "Alright I have everything," Izuku stated. He swung his backpack over his back and headed out of the tent. Outside waiting was Najenda with the two new recruits. "Alright now that everyone is here, I'll debrief you of the mission," Najenda stated as the three nodded, "We'll be going to a remote village, the Revolutionary Army needs the village to side with the revolution," Najenda pulled out a map of the continent as pointed to various spots on the map, "With the village alliance, the Revolutionary Army will have an easy access to our supply route with the main camp and other camps as well," Najenda explained as she pointed out the camps that were accessible.

"Susanoo and Izuku will be my bodyguards, just in case if things go south, Chelsea you'll be scouting around the village, look for any suspicious activity going around the village, is that understood by all of you," Najenda ordered. The three nodded, "Good, let's head out," Najenda turned around and walked towards the exit of the camp. The three followed behind, as Izuku looked at the bracelets he wore. He needed to test these things out, if they were truly weaker versions of the prototype he would need to limit himself to try not to break it.

"Hey wait!" Someone called out, Izuku stopped and turned to see Mark run up to him. As Mark reached Izuku, he held something out of his hands, "I gotta give you these before you go," in Mark's hands were a pair of gloves, it matched his previous white gloves that he wore all the time in battle.

"I tried to replicate the gloves but I didn't know if you wanted it or not since you know, you have your Teigu but keep it just in case," Mark stated. Izuku looked at the pair of gloves, he smiled and looked up at Mark, "Thank you," Izuku took the gloves and stuffed them into his bag. "And kid," Mark stopped him once more. "Hm?" Izuku hummed, "Go give those Imperial bastards hell," Mark grinned. Izuku awkwardly laughed, "Haha… I'll try to," Izuku reassured him. Izuku then turned around and ran towards Najenda as she waited for him.

Mark watched him as he ran towards the group, "How did you know it would respond to him," Mark asked someone. As Mark's shadow shifted as a man with a fox mask popped out of the shadow, "The gauntlets respond to those of pure heart and heroic spirt, of course it would respond to him," the man was now revealed to be Kitsune, Mark sighed, "Just so you know I had to go through a lot to get those behind the guards," Mark complained to Kitsune.

Kitsune looked at Mark and sighed, "I'll repay you back once this is all over," Kitsune reassured him. Kitsune looked towards the direction that Izuku headed.

"Those gauntlets were to restrict excessive exhaustion for the user, the previous user was a bioengineered super human, so he could use the gauntlets without putting extreme damage to his body, since his body was unstable" Mark explained.

Kitsune nodded, "Indeed, and that bioengineered human has a similar case as the boy,"

Mark looked at Kitsune with a questionable look, "Tell me, Kitsune? Right, is that what you're called now? Anyways I don't get how a boy could have the same body issues like you, I mean it's not like he's also bio-"

Mark was interrupted by Kitsune staring at him. "The boy possesses strength that could match an army, he just needs to control that strength. Those gauntlets will help him gauge his power and durability," Kitsune explained, "The First Emperor entrusted those to me but now I entrust them to the boy," Kitsune continued. Mark sighed and rubbed the back of his head, "I just don't get it, that Teigu hasn't responded to anyone in decades, not even the emperor himself was accepted by those, so why now? What makes a boy like him special?" Mark asked.

Kitsune rubbed his right arm then looked at Mark, "You'd be astonish if you knew the potential the boy has,"

In the forest

Izuku and the others walked on a path in the forest, Najenda was behind Susanoo as she looked at a map. Izuku was behind Najenda looking around the area in the forest checking if there were any Danger Beasts. Chelsea was behind Izuku. She kept glancing at him as Izuku just kept shifting his head from left to right. He then turned his head around to see Chelsea staring at him. Izuku jumped at the sudden stare, "I-Is something wrong," Izuku asked. Chelsea shrugged and picked up the pace to walk beside him. "Just curious," Chelsea answered. Izuku raised a brow, "About what," Izuku asked again. Chelsea looked at him, "Why is a boy like you doing this," she answered again.

Izuku looked at her, "It's because people need-" "saving? That ideology is going to get you killed someday," Chelsea interrupted him. Izuku stopped in his tracks as Chelsea kept walking, "People in this country aren't that nice once you save them, and yet you're willing to save people without a reward?" Chelsea continued. She turned towards him, Izuku looked at her but then smiled, "Isn't that what heroes do? Help people without receiving anything in return," Izuku answered.

Chelsea stared at him for a while before turning her head forward and sighed, "God, you're an odd one you know that," Chelsea stated as Izuku lightly chuckled. Najenda heard the conversation between the two but didn't jump in, but in Najenda's mind, Chelsea was right. Soon or maybe even this mission, his courage and ideals will be tested.

"I see a settlement up ahead," Susanoo called out. Najenda looked ahead to see a small village but as soon as they were closing in Susanoo got into a defensive stance as the other three stopped. Up ahead were two people standing guard in front of a barricade. Najenda recognized the uniform, "Everyone get to cover," she ordered everyone.

They responded quickly as they hid in the tree lines. Najenda pulled out binoculars as she inspected the front of the barricade. The guards were uneasy as they weren't afraid of them but something else lurking in the forest. Izuku peeked through a bush he was hiding in as he inspected the barricade, it was laced with spikes and traps.

It looked as if they were trying to keep something from entering the village but what. "We need disguises to enter the village to see what's happening inside," Najenda spoke up. "I can get in, but I'll need a prisoner," Chelsea suggested. She then looked at Izuku with a gleam in her eyes. Izuku shivered as Chelsea smirked at him.

But while they were trying to plan an infiltration operation, they felt the ground shake as it was coming from behind. Izuku turned around to see something coming straight for them. "Incoming!" Izuku alerted them as they turned towards where he was looking. Trees started to fall down as they spotted a figure that was approaching them fast. Susanoo, built to protect his wielder, swiftly grabbed Najenda and rushed towards the barricaded village.

Izuku activated 20% Full Cowling and grabbed Chelsea away from the incoming threat. As they dashed towards the village. Izuku heard a loud roar, he turned to see purple malice slit eyes that stared daggers at him. Izuku refocused his vision in front as he followed behind Susanoo. As they broke through the treeline the guards spotted them but they seemed afraid instead of alert and ready to attack the intruders. More so they were looking behind the group as they rang alarms.

"Quickly get in, the beast is back," The guard surprisingly shouted at them. As the gates opened Izuku and Susanoo dashed inside as the guards closed the gates behind them. They heard a loud thud as they heard a low growl behind the barricade. As they heard footsteps tracing back and forth in front of the gate.

A few seconds of no one making a sound, the beast slowly walked away from the gate. The guards turned towards the group, "What were you four doing...out...there," the guards were now realizing who they let in. Susanoo then sensed the sudden change in the atmosphere and grabbed his weapon while he still had Najenda in his arm. Izuku looked around to see the Imperial soldiers surrounding them. Izuku activated 20% Full Cowling and got into a defensive stance while carrying Chelsea.

"LOWERING YOUR WEAPONS MEN!" A booming voice called out as the Izuku flinched by the powerful voice. He turned towards where the voice was coming from. "This village is in dire need of help, we can deal with the Night Raid later," the voice continued. As the guards moved out of the way, the voice belonged to a man that was almost as tall as Susanoo, he wore black shoulder guards that had a black cape attached. He wore a silver chest plate outlined with black outlines. He had a battle axe behind him, he was a man with a chiseled jawline with obsidian eyes with red hair.

He stared directly at Najenda, "It's good you're still well, Najenda," the man looked directly at her. Najenda got off of Susanoo as she dusted some dust off, "Good to see you too, Hisake," Najenda greeted the man now named Hisake. He nodded, "Come with me, I believe the village chief was expecting you," Hisake informed. He started to walk but turned back around, "Just you though," he finished. Izuku had a look of concern, fearing it was a trap but Najenda turned around and reassured that she could deal with it.

She followed behind Hisake as she carried her bag over her shoulder. "Men show these three to comfortable quarters," he ordered his men,

"Sir, Yes sir," all of them responded. One guard approached them,

"I'll lead you to your temporary quarters," the guard pointed.

Izuku looked towards Susanoo, and he nodded. Izuku turned towards the guard and nodded. But before Izuku could take another step, he felt a tap on his shoulder as he looked towards where he was tapped.

"You can put me down now," Chelsea spoke up.

Izuku was confused on what she meant until he realized that he was still carrying her. Instantly he put her down gently.

"Sorry," Izuku apologized

Chelsea waved her hand, "Nah it was enjoyable being carried like that,"

She turned towards him and smirked, "We should do that more often," she teased

Izuku blushed as he shook his head.

Meanwhile

As Najenda and Hisake were heading towards the village chief, there was a suspenseful silence as they walked.

"It's been too long General," Hisake was the first one to speak.

"Likewise Captain, but I'm an ex-general now since I defected," Najenda responded back at the red head.

Hisake nodded and looked ahead, "After this mission is over, I'll be forced to capture you alive and your comrades," he warned.

Najenda nodded as she pulled out a cigarette and lighted it.

"Yeah, I know but it won't be that easy," she warned him.

Hisake chuckled, "Wasn't expecting it to be easy," he then turned towards her and smiled.

"For now what we need to do is get rid of that beast," Hisake reminded her.

"That beast has been a thorn on my side since I got here," Hisake nodded.

Najenda nodded, then looked up at the sky. 'I hope the others are alright,' she thought.

"We're here," Hisake brought her out of her mind. They approached a small hut that was covered in Danger Beast bones and fur. As two people were standing in front of the entrance. They were the guards of the village, they recognized Hisake as they opened the door for them. They entered the hut, when they entered they were greeted by an elderly man that was wearing what looked to be bear fur, he used a bone of a Danger Beast as a cane.

He had a very strong presence with him, but he had a stern and disapproving look as if he didn't even want the two to be here.

"Welcome back Captain, and welcome Najenda," the elder greeted them.

"I am the village chief, I'm sorry that you didn't expect the Empire to be here but we needed the help we could get," the Chief explained.

"No need to apologize Chief, you need to do what's best for your village," Najenda reassured.

The elder nodded as he sighed, "That beast has been hunting our people for the last five years, I cannot risk my people's life to kill that beast," the village chief explained.

Hisake and Najenda intently listened to the elder, "Your war has gone on long enough and it has angered the beast, and now he hunts my people," the village chief stood up and pointed towards them with the bone cane.

"Tell me, how will you take responsibility, hm? Your war has ravaged these lands and now my people are left to starve," the village chief continued. But before he could continue a young lady entered, she was about in her late teens, she had brown hair that was in a ponytail, she wore a brown top and had a black apron on. She bowed with a tray of tea.

"Pardon the intrusion father," the girl apologized. The elder waved his hand for his daughter to come in.

"This is my daughter, Naname," the elder introduced his daughter. She bowed in front of the Captain and the Ex-general. Najenda got a closer look at her face as she appeared to have puffy eyes and it looked to be that she had been crying.

The Elder noticed his daughter's face too as he solemnly looked at her. He then turned towards Hisake and Najenda, "My people have suffered enough from your war, and now a beast has ravaged my people," the elder continued.

Najenda knew that his anger was being suppressed but he was now releasing his stress to them.

"Tell me Hisake, Najenda. How will you bring peace to my people? How will you make my wife rest peacefully?" The elder asked. The tone of his voice was stern but broken. The dread filled the room as the daughter was holding back her tears.

"Look Elder Chief, my men are doing everything in their power to-" before Hisake could continue, Najenda stood up.

"You want the beast gone? My team will do it," Najenda blurted out. Hisake looked at her with shock as the Elder looked at her. The daughter looked desperately at her like a ray of hope flashed before her eyes. Naname looked her in the eyes as Najenda firmly stared into the eyes of the Elder and Naname.

"My team will take care of this beast, we'll make sure of it," Najenda firmly stated to the Elder.

The Elder gazed into her firmly, determined eyes as he saw that she was serious. Naname looked at her father hoping she would give them a chance. The Elder sighed as he rubbed his forehead.

"If you believe so Najenda, then I'll hold you to your words, but what makes you believe that your team can take on this beast?" The Elder asked.

Najenda stood up and turned towards the door, "Don't worry, they'll do their job," she stated.

She then turned towards the Village chief again, "So what's the beast's name," she asked.

With Izuku, Chelsea, and Susanoo

The guard guided the three to a tent big enough for four people to sleep in.

"This will be your tent for now," the guard pointed out.

Izuku inspected the tent as it was beside some of the huts, and some villagers were staring at them.

The guard gestured to them to head inside.

They complied and headed inside the tent. They sent their bags down and placed their sleeping bags down on the ground. Chelsea stretched a bit as she sighed.

"Well this wasn't what I expected but whatever," Chelsea grunted.

Susanoo was polishing and making sure the bags were comfortable to sleep on. Izuku brought out his notebook and sat down, scribbling away on his notebook. Chelsea decided to peek at Izuku's notebook but briefly got a glimpse of it.

Najenda came into the tent, alerting the three to stand up. She looked at the three individually, she sighed. "Looks like we've got a new assignment," Najenda informed them.

"What's the mission boss," Chelsea asked.

"The beast that we encountered has been ravaging this village for a while now, and our mission is to execute the beast," Najenda briefed the mission to them.

"Do we have any information about the beast?" Izuku asked.

Najenda nodded, "The Danger Beast is called a Fanged Banshee, (This beast is credited to Phantasy Star Online 2 not mine) the beast is a sabertooth type, stands on all four and has claws that could rip a man in half," Najenda explained.

"So how do we lure it out," Susanoo asked.

"Izuku you will be a decoy," Najenda pointed towards him.

Izuku gulped as he straightened himself. Najenda pulled out the map of the entire village and the surroundings.

"The elder said the Danger Beast will be around this area, looking for prey. Izuku will grab its attention and lure it to this area where there is a clearing. Once Izuku lures it there, Susanoo will ambush it. With the combined power of Susanoo and Izuku it will tire itself and that's when the imperial army will lend a hand. Then hopefully, the beast goes down," Najenda explained the plan.

"Wait boss, what will I do?" Chelsea asked.

"You'll provide backup for Susanoo and Izuku, if things go south then it's your job to distract the Banshee to buy time until they can retreat," Najenda explained to her.

Chelsea nodded, Najenda grabbed the map and stood up.

"The mission will begin in the afternoon, so prepare yourselves, this isn't going to be easy," Najenda ordered.

"Roger!" All three of them responded.

With Izuku

After the mission debriefing, Izuku decided to take a look around the village. He watched Imperial soldiers set camp and give rations to villages as the villages looked worn out. All of them had dark expressions and tired eyes. Izuku kept walking around until he bumped into someone.

"O-oh I'm sorry!" Izuku apologized. He then looked up to see the captain from before.

"Oh, hello, you must be Najenda's subordinate, my name is Hisake, a pleasure," he stuck out his hand.

Izuku grabbed it and shook it, "Izuku Midoriya but you can just call me Deku," Izuku greeted.

Hisake raised an eyebrow, "Deku? You want to call yourself useless?" He questioned.

"Uh wait no it's not like that um well you see I think it sounds like you can do it, you know?" Izuku explained to him.

Hisake chuckled, "Whatever you want to word it I guess,"

Izuku cursed himself as he instantly regretted telling the imperial captain his hero name.

"But the way your thinking is admirable, you don't get many people like you around here," Hisake complimented.

Izuku perked up as he looked straight in his obsidian eyes.

"You have a heart of a protector, someone who's willing to sacrifice themselves for others, I like people like you," Hisake continued.

Izuku smiled, "Thanks that means a lot,"

But Hisake's expression shifted, "But in this world the strong survive and the weak die, that's just how it is. You can save people but ending their life is another kind of saving as well," Hisake informed.

Hisake walked past Izuku as the greenette was surprised by his words. He turned around only to find the Captain gone. Izuku stood there as the words replayed in his head.

"Ending their life is another kind of saving as well,"

Izuku shook his head, 'No, that can't be the only answer in this world, I'll do whatever it takes to save people even if they're suffering inside,' Izuku clenched his fist as he continued walking around the village.

Few hours later

Izuku stretched his arms and legs as he was ready to head out.

"Remember Izuku lure the beast to the clearing, we'll be waiting to ambush it," Najenda reminded him.

Izuku nodded as he activated 20% Full Cowling and dashed into the forest. Najenda watched the young hero sprint into the forest. She sighed as she turned around towards Susanoo and Chelsea, "You two get into position, wait on my signal," Najenda ordered.

They both nodded and headed towards their positions.

Izuku was dashing through the forest, hopping from branch to branch. Izuku kept looking around him as he tried to spot the beast. Then Izuku heard a faint sound of a branch snap, he swiftly turned towards the direction of the noise. He pressed the buttons on his gauntlets as the metallic white bandage wrapped around his forearms. He stood ready in a stance, he checked his surroundings as the forest was quiet, too quiet.

No birds were chirping and the trees stood still as if the wind stopped blowing. Then he heard something above him, he then widened his eyes as he dashed out of his position.

He dodged in time as something crashed into the spot he once stood. It created a large explosion of dust, as the dust covered Izuku's field of vision but he then spotted a silhouette move in the cloud of dust.

As the cloud of dust broke into a massive claw right above Izuku as it was coming down fast. Izuku back stepped away from the incoming attack as the Banshee lunged forward towards Izuku. The Hero jumped above the beast as tried to jab Izuku with its claws. Izuku then full throttled over to the clearing.

Izuku kept going but the Banshee was catching up as it was about to close in on Izuku, he conjured an idea as he turned mid-air as he reeled back his right arm as it was closing in.

"50% Detroit Smash!" Izuku shouted.

Izuku's fist landed on the beast's snout as it pushed him back a few feet but also propelled Izuku farther away from the beast. Izuku unequipped the gauntlets as he pushed himself forward towards the rendezvous point. He checked behind as the beast was still closing in. He needed to go faster as it landed on a branch and channeled more energy into him

'30% Full Cowling!' Izuku boosted through the trees as he was going faster than before. But what Izuku didn't notice was that his body wasn't hurting.

'It seems my body can handle 30% fairly well now,' Izuku thought as he saw the clearing up ahead. He checked to see the beast was still there. The beast was farther behind from him but not too far for him to lose his sight on it. But then the beast stopped abruptly as Izuku jumped from branch to branch.

'Did it figure out I was luring it?!' Izuku panicked but then the beast then crouched low as if it was ready to pounce.

Izuku then widened his eyes as he dashed further away. The beast pounced forward, making a crater behind it as the beast was swiftly catching up to Izuku. Each of them racing towards their goal. Izuku then was near the clearing as he put more pressure on his jumps to accelerate his speed.

The beast was right behind Izuku, ready to bite down on him. As Izuku broke through the forest to the rendezvous point. Najenda and Susanoo saw that the beast was right on his tail. The imperial forces were hiding behind the trees.

"Now!" Najenda shouted

On que Susanoo zoomed above the beast head and slammed his weapon, which was a mace-like weapon, onto the beast head. The beast then crashed down to the ground, Susanoo's weapon protruding blades as he tried to go for the finishing blow.

But the beast quickly reacted by letting out an ear crushing roar that sent soundwaves in the area. Everyone flinched as the beast continued to roar.

Susanoo was blown back as the waves interrupted his momentum. He landed right next to Izuku as both of them stood ready. As the beast stopped letting out his roar, he glared at the two.

"Watch out for those claws, one swipe and you're finished, try to hit his blind spots, there is bound to be a weak point," Susanoo warned.

"Right!" Izuku responded.

Izuku activated 30% again but this time he equipped the gauntlets again.

"Follow my lead," Susanoo ordered as he dashed towards the beast.

Izuku followed behind, catching up to his speed. The beast slammed its right paw down on them, both of the two dispersed separate ways. Susanoo went towards the left and Izuku took the right. Susanoo brought his mace and swiped the beast's left leg, causing it to lose its balance. Izuku took this chance to jump in the air and dashed towards the beast's face as he closed in. He brought his right leg forward as he smashed the beast's face onto the ground.

The Banshee roared in pain as Izuku jumped off and landed on a nearby tree. Hisake saw the opportunity to attack.

"Alright men that's our que, give it everything you got!" He ordered.

"Roger!" The soldiers shouted.

They loaded cannons and started to unload on the beast. The Banshee continued to roar in pain but the beast endured all the attacks and charged towards the soldiers. Izuku swiftly dashed towards the men to get them out of there. He rescued each of them one by one as the beast destroyed the cannons.

Izuku placed the men in a safe distance from the beast. But then he heard a scream as he swiftly turned as he widened his eyes to see a lone soldier in front of the Banshee. The beast was about to slam his claw onto the soldier. Izuku reacted quickly as he tried to reach the soldier but he was too far away to reach the soldier in time.

'No not like this, not again. I can't let this happen again, I can save him, I just need to reach!' Izuku desperately dashing towards the soldier.

"I need to reach him!" Izuku shouted.

As he shouted, a black mass formed on his hand as it produced black tendrils that quickly grabbed the soldier and pulled him away from the incoming attack. As the soldier landed far away from the beast, the Banshee glared towards Izuku as he was grunting in pain.

The black tendrils started to go wild and started to smack the beast. The Banshee growled in annoyance, Izuku tries to control this mysterious power he just activated.

'Come on, why can't...I control this, what is this anyways?!' Izuku questioned as he tried to keep the black tendrils from hitting anyone. The Banshee slowly approached Izuku as he struggled to keep the tendrils in control. But Susanoo flew above the beast again and with all his strength slammed his mace on top of the beast's head. Causing the beast to slam to the ground.

Susanoo landed in front of the beast as he brought his mace to the side and got into an airtight stance. The mace then protruded blades again, Susanoo then, with all his strength swiped his mace across the beast face, disform the Banshees face as it squealed in pain. As it's screech echoed through the forest. Then Susanoo brought his mace above his head and slammed down once again, shattering the beast skull to pieces, ending the Fanged Banshee's life.

Susanoo was now covered in blood as his mace was drenched in blood. Susanoo then turned to Izuku to see the tendrils surrounding the young hero-in-training. Najenda spotted Izuku as she saw his distorted face. She figured he couldn't control whatever he conjured. She looked at Susanoo, he stared back at her and nodded.

Susanoo swiftly approached Izuku but the tendrils started to lash out and tried to keep Susanoo away from Izuku. But as Susanoo closed in on Izuku he knocked out the boy. Izuku's vision slowly started to fade as everything turned black.

Izuku's mind

As Izuku slowly woke up, he then noticed he was in the same dreamscape as before. He inspected his surroundings but noticed that he couldn't talk. He then heard a voice call out to him.

"Hey! Hey! You're doing it all wrong!" A strong voice called out. Izuku turned towards it to see a man looked to be as tall as All Might but he was bald and had goggles on his forehead.

"One for All isn't singular power anymore, you gotta focus!" The man lectured Izuku.

Izuku looked surprised to see the man in front of him.

"Huh? You can't talk right now, oh well, I'm running out time anyways, so listen up, what you used was my quirk, it's called Black Whip," the man explained as he produced black tendrils out of his hand but they were calmer than the ones Izuku conjured.

"This quirk is very versatile, it matters how you control it, at first you thought to catch the guy you wanted to save right? Well that's why my quirk responded." The man explained.

The man then started to flicker. He looked at himself as he grunted.

"Damn it's time. Listen kid! You're not alone, and to tell you the truth, One for All is evolving, so now you have 6 other Quirks to master, good luck kid, and remember," the man placed his fist on Izuku's chest.

"You're not alone, we're here now," as the man now completely vanished.

Reality

Najenda shook Izuku multiple times to get him to wake up.

"Damn this kid isn't waking up anytime soon," Najenda cursed.

Then Chelsea walked in front of him then brought her hand up.

*SLAP*

Izuku abruptly woke up and shouted, "OW!" As he rubbed his face.

"Sorry drastic measures," Chelsea teased.

Najenda shook her head as she looked at Izuku, "Are you alright," she asked.

Izuku nodded as he looked at his right hand. He remembered the words of the man, 'You now have 6 Quirks to master,' Izuku was confused, how did he obtain these other Quirks and why did they manifest now.

"Izuku? Are you sure you're okay," Najenda asked again.

Izuku shook his head, "I'm alright just thinking what just happened to me," izuku answered

Najenda placed her hand on her hip, "So you don't know either, well I'm sure we'll find an answer some other time, but for now we finished the mission," Najenda smiled.

Izuku widened his eyes as he looked around to see the soldiers cleaning up the demolished cannons. He then spotted the beast's head disfigured. He flinched at the sight of the head.

"Now all we need to do is report back to the Elder and then we can go home," Najenda stated.

Izuku widened his eyes. 'Home, that's right, I wonder how everyone is doing,'

He then thought of Akame but quickly shook his head.

"You just thought of someone didn't you," Chelsea grinned.

Izuku blushed, "N-No I didn't I swear," Izuku denied.

Chelsea smirked, "Uh-huh keep telling yourself that,"

Najenda sighed, as she watched Chelsea tease Izuku.

In the distance, Kitsune watched the whole confrontation, "Hm, something about the boy's quirk is a mystery," as he vanished into the darkness.
