Hello, I caught up on my assignments so writing has been a lot more manageable lately so that's a plus. Watched the new MHA movie when it released and it was a great movie for me anyways. Alrighty then lets get on with the chapter, oh and later I'll be revising the first 8 chapters to change the perspective so look out for that.
Chapter 22
I'll Always Be Here
As Izuku sat in his room, running through the memories of his time with Night Raid. A group of assassins and him, a hero. It was ironic how the two ideals clashed, but yet they became friends. Izuku then felt his shirt being tugged as he looked towards Eri.
Eri was worried, she was worried that things would be different. Eri wanted everything to stay the same, even though they were strangers, she felt that they were special to her and Izuku. But at last, the truth had to come out soon.
Izuku solemnly looked at her as he then looked at his hand. He knew that their time with the group of assassins was limited, but he knew that he couldn't leave them to die.
Izuku was then brought back to the time when the 5th user of One for All talked to him. The 5th's quirk, Black Whip. Whatever it was, it could help him, he needed to train with the power in order to master it with One for All.
Izuku got up from his bed, "Eri, I'll be outside for a bit," he told her.
Eri nodded as she watched Izuku walk out of the room. Eri sat there as she thought about what would happen if they would return home. She wouldn't get to see them again. Everyone was kind and caring, she would miss them, especially Akame. Eri didn't know why but Akame was like a mother to her. Every time they would be with each other she hovered over her like a mother bear.
Through her stoic look, Eri saw only a gentle and kind nature in the assassin. Eri laid down as she wanted to push back the thoughts but it just kept replaying in her mind.
With Izuku
Izuku stood outside as he equipped his gauntlets as he was standing there, his right arm out as he closed his eyes. He imagined the black tendrils, the way they extended and wrapped around the people he saved.
'That's right, I need to reach, reach in order to save them,' Izuku thought.
As he concentrated, he then produced a small black tendril that extended out but only a few inches. Izuku then gasped as he then let go of his arm. Izuku looked at his hand as it was shaking.
"It appears you haven't gotten used to those powers of yours,"
Izuku turned towards the voice as he saw Susanoo standing behind. Izuku straightened himself as he looked up at Susanoo.
"Yeah… I don't know how to use it or how to fully use it to its full potential," Izuku looked at his hands as he then clenched them.
Susanoo looked at him, "Maybe start with deepening your knowledge of the power instead of trying to use it now," he suggested.
Izuku looked up at Susanoo, "Once you grasp the knowledge of the power then you can imagine how it's used and how to use it effectively," he continued to explain.
Izuku nodded as it was a good point but the problem was how to gain that knowledge. Ask the 5th user? He didn't know how though.
"Just think about it Izuku, I'm sure you can figure it out," Susanoo then walked away as Izuku stood there as he clenched his hands.
Izuku wanted to get used to Black Whip but right now he needed to start slow. He can't expect to learn it in an instant. Izuku then thought he could confide with the team since he just dropped the truth on them. Izuku then headed back towards the house.
As he walked in front of the house he saw Chelsea leaning on the tree. She looked up as she spotted the greenette. She waved at him as Izuku returned the gesture.
"Hello Green, what are you doing out here," she asked.
"Oh, just trying to figure out how to use the power I gained," he answered.
Chelsea then put her finger on her chin, "Ah, if I remember correctly, it's those black tendrils that came out of your hand,"
Izuku nodded, "Yep, but anyways, how are you doing,"
Chelsea looked at him as she then smirked, "I only know you for three days and here you are worried about me,"
Izuku raised a brow, "Why wouldn't I, your my friend now, of course I'm going to worry since I told you where I'm actually from,"
Chelsea then laughed, "You know, you really are weird,"
Izuku sweatdropped, "But I guess that's why people are attracted to you," Chelsea stated.
Izuku looked at her in disbelief, "Huh, what do you mean,"
Chelsea just scoffed, "Are you serious, you literally saved a bunch of your enemies and now they decided to have a change of heart because all you did was save them from death but not only that, you've inspired that Captain back at the village,"
Izuku just scratched his head, "I just didn't want to see people die,"
Chelsea just closed her eyes as she turned around and walked towards the door, "And that's why people are attracted to you, especially a certain assassin,"
Izuku tilted his head.
Chelsea then frowned, "But that's also one way to get yourself killed fast," she muttered.
She then walked inside as Izuku stood there as he looked at the building that Susanoo built. Izuku then walked inside as he then turned towards the living room where he spotted Sheele reading her book.
Sheele looked up from her book, "Oh, hi Izuku," she waved at him.
Izuku waved back as he entered the living room. He sat down at one of the sofas as Sheele smiled at him.
"So what brings you here," Sheele asked.
Izuku looked at her with confusion, "Are you okay?"
Sheele just tilted her head, "Is something wrong with me,"
Izuku just sweatdropped as she responded to his question.
"Sheele, I told you about where I come from," Izuku explained.
Sheele then faced a surprised expression, "You did?"
Izuku just sighed, 'As expected she forgot,'
"Is it bad where you come from," she asked.
Izuku shook his head, "No, it's just I told you that I was from another world,"
Sheele then suddenly widened her eyes, "Oh, I do remember that,"
Izuku was honestly surprised at the fact that she remembered that. Sheele then looked at him as she frowned.
"Is that why you have a worried expression?" She pointed out.
Izuku looked at her then looked down as he clenched his fist, "I guess you could say that,"
Sheele then smiled as she placed her book down.
"Izuku,"
Izuku looked up to see Sheele smiling at him as she had a gentle expression on her face.
"Just because you're from another world doesn't mean you aren't a different person," she stated.
"I owe my life to you, Izuku. You made it possible that I could live to see another day," she continued.
Izuku widened his eyes as Sheele looked at him with gratitude.
"Without you, I'd be dead right now. So wherever you come from doesn't define who you are, it's what inside that defines you," Sheele smiled at him.
"And that's why you are an important friend to all of us," she finished.
Izuku looked down as he was on the verge of tears, those words hit home as he remembered the days of his childhood. Struggling to achieve a hopeless dream and yet here he is, trying to save the world from corruption.
Izuku looked up at her and smiled, "Thank you, Sheele,"
She returned the smile, "I should be thanking you,"
Izuku chuckled as he stood up, "Well I should check on the others,"
Sheele nodded, "I'm sure they all have a lot to talk about to you,"
Izuku nodded as he exited the room. He contemplated on what Sheele said, deep down he knew that. Izuku walked outside again as he then heard gunshots nearby. Izuku looked towards the direction as he walked over to the noise.
As he arrived, he saw Mein shooting makeshift targets as she shot them all, directly in the bullseye. Izuku looked at the target as they were smoking.
"Something you need," Mein called out.
Izuku just shook his head, "Just wanted to see how you were doing,"
Mein looked at him as she smirked, "Well if you're worried that I still think that you're an alien then you're right,"
Izuku felt an imaginary jab in his back, "An alien?!"
Mein laughed, "You are from another world,"
Izuku then froze as she clearly had a point.
"But still, without you, Sheele would've died," Mein stated.
Izuku looked at Mein as she glanced at him. "I guess you being here was a good thing, because you saved our necks back there,"
Izuku smiled as he took the complement, "Thanks Mein,"
Mein just huffed, "Well when the time comes when you're in a pickle, I'll cover you," she smirked.
Izuku looked at her as he then smiled, Izuku then realized something. Back at the base Mein would always tease and taunt Tatsumi, and sometimes she would try to feed him. Also they would also train together, occasionally though.
"Hey Mein," he called her out.
"Yeah what's up," she responded.
"I see you with Tatsumi all the time, is something going on between you two?" He asked.
This caused Mein to flinch as she missed her shot on a target. She quickly stood up and grabbed Izuku's shirt collar.
"Huh… what the hell is that supposed to mean," she intimidated him as she had a dark aura surrounding her.
Izuku started to sweat as he had his hands up, "Uh, nothing, nothing at all," he squeaked.
"That's what I thought," she let go of Izuku as he was shivering in fear.
'Scary!' He thought
Izuku watched as Mein walked back to her position and laid down, prone as she grabbed Pumpkin.
Though he could see a hint of blush on her cheek. But Izuku decided not to point it out.
"Anyways, sorry to bother you I'll be leaving now," Izuku told her as he started to walk away.
"Hey!" She called him out.
Izuku turned as he saw her pointing at him,
"If you die, I'll shoot you a hundred over, you got that, don't ever make her sad," Mein shouted.
Izuku widened his eyes as she determinedly glared at him.
Izuku returned the glance as pounded his fist on his chest, firmly clenching his hand.
"I won't, I promise," Izuku firmly replied.
Mein smirked as she nodded.
"By the way, who's 'her' " he asked.
Mein just stared at him like he was an idiot as she smacked her forehead. Izuku looked at her confusingly.
In the house
Izuku walked down the halls as he then saw Lubbock leaving his room.
Lubbock looked up as he saw the hero, "Oh hey Izuku,"
Izuku smiled and waved, "Hey,"
Lubbock walked up to him as he grinned, "So another world huh,"
Izuku looked at him, Lubbock had a gleam in his eyes as he then grabbed his shoulder.
"You're like a main character from a manga," Lubbock pointed out.
Izuku just deadpanned as he looked at Lubbock, "Uh, I think you've been reading too much manga,"
Lubbock laughed, "Okay, okay, ignore that comment but it must be weird huh in another world,"
Izuku stopped as he looked down and nodded as he remembered the people he left before he entered this world.
Lubbock noticed this and decided he needed to change the subject fast,
"Uh, soooo… Oh! I heard about your new ability that could grab people, kinda like my Teigu in a way," he quickly changed the subject.
Izuku perked up as he then realized that, "Yeah you right, they are kinda alike,"
"Right, so I could give you some tips and tricks to help you handle that power," Lubbock offered.
Izuku nodded as he smiled, "Yeah, that'll help a lot,"
Lubbock then smirked, "I could also give you tips on how to seduce girls," he lightly elbowed Izuku.
Izuku's face flushed red as he froze, "Uh I don't think I'll need that,"
"Ah come on that way you can get more- Guuurgh!" Lubbock then saw Najenda head chop him on the head. Izuku widened his eyes as he watched Lubbock fall to the ground.
"Let's stop there shall we," she stated.
Izuku just sweatdropped as she grabbed him by the collar and dragged him away, "I'll take this guy out of your way,"
Izuku watched the unconscious Lubbock slowly getting dragged on the flow by their fearless boss.
"Gotta say, Lubba never learns does he,"
Izuku turned around as he saw Leone leaning on the wall.
"Leone, you were listening,"
Leone smirked, "Oh, does that mean that you're planning to seduce other girls,"
Izuku rapidly shook his head, Leone stared at him as she couldn't believe that this boy was from another world. Leone then closed her eyes as she walked up to him as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a hug.
Izuku widened his eyes as he looked up at Leone.
"Everyone in Night Raid cares for you Izuku, you became an irreplaceable comrade now, so even if you go, you'll always be a part of us even though you deny our way of doing things," she smiled at him as she let go of him.
Izuku looked at her as she held out her fist, "So let's end this damned Empire before you return home,"
Izuku smiled as he brought his fist to hers, "Yeah… that was the intended plan,"
Leone smiled as she ruffled his hair.
"Gaagh Leone! Stop," Izuku chuckled.
"Damn can't believe that you're from another world though," she stated.
Izuku looked at her and remembered the words that Sheele said to him, "I maybe from another world but that doesn't mean I'm not the same person you guys met,"
Leone widened her eyes as she then smiled at him, "Yeah I guess you're right,"
Leone looked at Izuku as she remembered the words he said to Akame that night, "Oh by the way Greenie, don't screw this up,"
Izuku tilted his head, "What do you mean?"
She shook her head, "Nothing, you should head to Tatsumi, he's fighting Danger Beasts alone in the mountains,"
Izuku widened his eyes as he equipped his gauntlets and rushed out of the house. Leone watched him as he left, "Yep, still the same,"
Somewhere by the mountains
Tatsumi punched two Danger Beasts that looked to be velociraptors but had gray scales and fin ears. Tatsumi then saw as two more Danger beasts pounced towards him, Tatsumi then weaved under them as he then held out his hand and a light appeared, revealing a spear with a red blade and a red jewel in the middle of the blade as it was almost like an arrowhead.
Tatsumi then cut the Danger Beasts down as he then saw he was surrounded.
'Crap, their blows are heavy, I'm trying not to get hit by those claws, I gotta find the pack leader,' he thought as he watched the beasts carefully.
One tried to charge at him but then a green flash appeared as it slammed down on the beast causing an explosion of dust. Tatsumi looked at the dust then smiled to see Izuku on top of the beast.
"You alright," Izuku asked.
"Yep, peak shape," Tatsumi replied.
Izuku watched as the Danger beasts circled around them.
"I'll clear a path," Izuku stated.
Tatsumi nodded as Izuku reeled his fist back as he channeled 50% One For All into his right arm. He then brought it forwards as he created a massive wind pressure that huddled through the pack as it created a dent all the way towards the wall, revealing the pack leader.
Izuku and Tatsumi quickly acted as they charged at the pack, dodging the remaining pack members.
Tatsumi cut them down as Izuku was swatting them away as he fired off some Delaware Smashes at them. Tatsumi jumped in front of Izuku but just as they were in sync Izuku brought his fist on the heel of Tatsumi's heel as he then launched him forward.
Tatsumi then brought the spear to his right as he huddled at the pack leader at incredible speed. Then Tatsumi cut off the head of the beast as the body fell down limp.
The pack members were frightened as they then started to scatter. Izuku sighed as he watched Tatsumi wipe the blood from his spear.
Izuku then unequipped his gauntlets as they reverted back in bracelet form. Tatsumi's armor then disappeared as well as the spear did.
"Thanks Izuku, needed that," Tatsumi thanked him.
Izuku shook his head, "My job as an Auxiliary,"
Tatsumi chuckled as he looked at Izuku, "Hey Izuku,"
Izuku looked at him, "What's up,"
"Your power, what is it really," he asked.
Izuku widened his eyes and then looked at his hand, "It's…"
Tatsumi looked at him as he saw Izuku struggling but then Izuku firmly looked at him.
"It's called One for All, and this power has been passed down from generation to generation in my world," Izuku explained.
Tatsumi widened his eyes as he looked at Izuku, "Wow… that means you have a lot of responsibility to be holding that power,"
Izuku looked at his scarred hand, "You have no idea,"
Izuku remembered the disfigured face that All Might fought back at Kamino Ward. The destruction that he caused. One day he'll have to fight that same threat one day.
"Hey man, whatever it is, I'm here to help you all the way," Tatsumi placed his hand on Izuku.
"You're not alone, we're here if you need us," Tatsumi smiled.
Izuku returned the smile with his own, "Yeah… I'll remember that,"
Tatsumi then looked up to see the sun setting, "We should head back,"
Izuku nodded as they walked back to the base.
At the temporary base
Izuku and Tatsumi arrived as they were about to head inside until Izuku spotted Akame near the waterfall that was nearby.
Izuku stopped, "Hey I'll be right back,"
Tatsumi looked where heas looking at then grinned, "Oh~ okay then go meet up with your wife then,"
Izuku's face then reddened, "I-I-It's not like that,"
Tatsumi chuckled, "Whatever you say,"
Izuku just sighed as he then walked over to Akame. As he was about to call her out, the moon's light was reflecting the water as the light made the water dazzling. Akame's hair flowed naturally along the wind.
Izuku stood there as she was just awe gazing. Akame affected Izuku in a way he didn't think he would be affected. Akame then looked back as she spotted Izuku.
Izuku jumped as he flushed red, "U-Um sorry," he squeaked softly as he felt her gaze on him.
Akame smiled as she patted a spot on the rock she was sitting on. Izuku looked at her as he then compiled, he walked over and sat on the rock that she was sitting on.
They both stared at the water as the water reflected the moon. It was quiet but it was peaceful. Akame brought her knees to her chest as she hugged her knees.
"Izuku… are you okay," Akame asked.
Izuku looked at her then smiled, "Yeah… I'm fine don't worry,"
Akame just shrunk head as she looked at the water, "Night Raid means a lot to me, especially you and Eri,"
Izuku widened his eyes as he turned his head towards her, "Akame…"
"With you and Night Raid, it's all been special to me," Akame softly spoke.
Izuku looked at the moon, floating in the sky, he sighed. He knew Akame was remembering the past events that lead up to now.
"I'm afraid Izuku, I'm afraid I'll lose everyone, I'm afraid I'll lose Eri, I'm afraid that I'll lose you," Akame whimpered.
"I'm… scared," Akame said as she was on the verge of tears.
Izuku looked at her as she was burying her face in her knees. Izuku frowned as he then grabbed her arm. Akame widened her eyes as she looked up, then her head was on his shoulder as Izuku embraced her.
"Akame… you won't lose anyone, I won't let that happen, because I will always be here," Izuku whispered into her ear.
Akame blushed as she heard him say that, "Eri won't go either, even if we are apart, we will always be together,"
What Akame didn't realize though was that Izuku wrapped a necklace around her neck. The same emerald encased necklace that the Chief of the village they saved gave to him.
Akame then looked down as she saw the necklace wrapped around her. Akame widened her eyes as the emerald represented Izuku's eyes. She then heard Izuku pull something out as well. He held up a ruby encased necklace as he wrapped it around his neck as well.
"I got these necklaces from the village we saved, the Elder gave it to me," Izuku explained.
Akame held the emerald on her palm as she looked at it.
"The elder said that it represents two people that are connected no matter where they are," Izuku explained to her.
Akame looked at Izuku as she saw the smile that he always made, the smile that had changed her life.
"So no matter what Akame, Eri and I will always be here no matter what," Izuku gently smiled.
Akame's face started to reveal a tinge of red as she stared at Izuku, his smile, her light.
"Hey Akame, ever fell in love before," Leone asked.
Akame tilted her head as she shook her head, "I'm an assassin so I can't or it will hinder my mission,"
"Ah come on, you never felt bubbly inside like your heart is about to explode or when you wished to be with someone forever," Leone questioned.
Akame shook her head, "The person I wish to be with is my sister,"
Leone just sighed as she then brought her finger up to Akame, "One day Akame, you'll look at someone like that besides your sister, just watch,"
Akame chuckled as she stared at Leone, "I doubt that,"
Akame softly smiled, remembering what Leone meant now, the bubbly feeling inside her chest, the rapid heart rate, the heavy weight on her heart and the satisfaction of being near Izuku. She understood now, she knew what Leone meant now.
Akame finally understood the feeling inside her heart now, she understood why she was so afraid of losing Izuku. Izuku looked at her as he scratched his cheek as his face was red as well.
'I guess this is what it is like to be in love,' Akame thought as she laid her head on Izuku's shoulder.
End
Oh just to let you know that the route that the story will take will be the manga of Akame ga Kill.
