Hello everyone, if you read the reviews then you'd know that many people are up for the crossover with this story and Raya and the Last Dragon, that I called The Last Black and White Dragons. And you all say, no pressure. But there will be a little pressure, and I hope I can make it live up to the hype.
Now a few things about The Last Black and White Dragons. I'll post it after the end of season 3, and I won't make you wait long for it. I'm working on it a little each day, so it'll be ready to post right after the end of season 3.
But I do have a couple problems to solve. One a summary, and two, what should its story tables be. Should it be 1. Dragon Prince X Last Dragon, 2. Pokemon X Dragon Prince, 3. Pokemon X Last Dragon, or 4. Something else. And while I'll work on the summary, I could use an idea of what story tables I should use.
One last thing, I posted the first three chapters of The Phantom Of Berseria. Now Chapter 20.
Chapter 20
The Crown And The Will
The Castle In Katolis
A new day dawned on the castle, with Ezran sleeping in his fathers room. In the room, Bait was moving onto the bed where Ezran was sleeping, and Rockruff wasn't in the room. Bait finally reached Ezran and woke him up. Ezran then yawned and got up. That's when Ezran remembered he was in his fathers room. Ezran and Bait then got off the bed, and with a sad look, Ezran noticed Bait sitting on his father's charge with the crown on it. Ezran took the crown and looked at it.
Ezran then walked outside to the balcony with the crown in his hands, and Bait followed him. "They must be in Xadia by now." Ezran said to Bait. Bait croak. "Someday, we'll make it there." Ezran said to Bait, before looking at the crown. "I don't know if I'm ready for this, Bait." Ezran said to Bait.
Forest In Xadia
Meanwhile, everyone else was walking on massive tree branches like they were paths, with Serperior out of his Pokeball, all the while, Callum was using the cube on everything. "Do you have to play with that thing now? You're going to fall off the branch?" Allen asked Callum, with him back in his normal form. Then Zym noticed some flowers and it opened, surprising him, and making him jump onto Callum's back. Then Callum and Zym used the cube on more stuff.
"This is crazy, Rayla! Kali! Everything here radiates with Primal Energy." Callum said to the girls, making everyone stop and look at Callum. "Yup. That's Xadia." Rayla said to Callum. "Wait." Callum said. "What?" Allen asked Callum, as Callum picked up some soil.
"What? You're kidding me. You are kidding me! Magic dirt? What?" Callum asked everyone. "Okay first, it's magic soil, and second, are you going to be like this while we're in Xadia?" Allen asked Callum. "Probably." Callum said to Allen.
"Save some of that googly-eyed amazement for later. We still have a mission. I'm taking you all to my home. The other elves will help us get Zym to the Dragon Queen as fast as possible." Rayla said to Callum. "Not Silvergrove. I hate that place." Kali said to everyone. "Why?" Allen asked Kali. "Silvergrove isn't a welcoming town, even with me and Rayla, chances of you two getting your heads slashed off, are high." Kali said to Allen.
"It's not that bad. It would be better than your home of Lux Aurea." Rayla said to Kali. "Far point. My home isn't that welcoming either, but it's still better than Silvergrove." Kali said to Rayla. "And if we get home by dusk, I can show you all something special." Rayla said to everyone. "Really? What is it?" Callum asked Rayla.
"It's a surprise." Rayla said to Callum, before pulling off some fruit from a vine and feeding it to Zym. "You're home now, Zym." Rayla said to Zym, before Zym burped, and the fruit made Zyms burp sparkle. Then Zym burped some more sparkles, and made everyone laugh.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle Ezran was leaving the room, and when he opened the door, the guards moved their weapons out of the way of the door. Ezran then closes the door a little, and the guards put their weapons back in front of the door. Then Ezran opened the door, and the guards moved their weapons. Ezran then stepped back, and the guards moved their weapons. Ezran then stepped forward, and the guards moved their weapons. Ezran did this for a bit.
"Ezran." A voice said, making Ezran stop. That's when he noticed Drake standing nearby, with Samurott out of his pokeball with him. "Ezran, they're here to protect you not to play with. Now let's go to the throne room." Drake said to Ezran. "Right." Ezran said to Drake, before they started to walk to the throne room, with Ezran holding the crown and the guards following them.
On the way, the baker and Alcremie walked up to them, with a tray of whip cream and jelly filled tart in the baker's hands, with Alcremie on his shoulder. "May I offer His Majesty a freshly baked whip cream jelly tart?" The baker asked Ezran. "Uh, really? It's okay. Um, sure." Ezran said to the baker. "The King requests a tart of whip cream and jelly." A guard said, surprising everyone. "You don't have to say that." Drake said to the guard, as Ezran took a whip cream jelly tart.
"May I have another?" Ezran asked the baker. "The king requests another tart of jelly!" the guard said to the baker. "What did I just say?" Drake asked the guard. "Yeah, you don't have to repeat everything I say." Ezran said to the guard. "The king requests that you stop repeating!" The other guard said to the first guard. "I realized as soon as I said it." the other guard said to everyone. "Both of you be quiet for a while, please." Drake said to the guards.
"You may have as many tarts as you care for." The baker said to Ezran, as Bait took a tart with his tongue. Then Ezran took a few more. That's when Drake noticed Rockruff missing. "Hey where's Rockruff?" Drake asked Ezran. "I don't know. He wasn't in the room when I woke up. But he was there when I went to sleep." Ezran said to Drake.
"Oh." Drake said, before cracking a smile. "What? What is it?" Ezran asked Drake. "You'll see." Drake said to Ezran. Then Corvus walked up to everyone, with Starapter on his shoulders. "Corvus! Starapter!" Ezran said to them, as they reached everyone. Then Corvus bowed to Ezran. "All packed for your journey to the throne?" Corvus asked Ezran, making Ezran, and Drake laugh a little.
"Would you or Starapter like a tart of jelly and whip cream?" Ezran asked Corvus. "Staraptor." Staraptor said, wanting one. So Ezran threw one up, and Staraptor ate it. Ezran then offered one up to Corvus. "No, thanks." Corvus said to Ezran. "Don't worry, we can have as many as we want!" Ezran said to Corvus. "I think you, Rockruff, and Bait, are the only creatures that can eat more than a couple of those tarts." Drake said to Ezran, rubbing Ezran's head.
Then everyone left for the throne room, with everyone but Corvus having a tart. Once they reached the throne room door, Opeli and Chimecho were waiting for them all. "Good morning, King Ezran." Opeli said to Ezran, before snapping her fingers, making the guards open the throne room door. Opeli and Chimecho then moved out of the way, letting Ezran into the throne room.
But when Drake, Samurott, Corvus, and Starpater tried to enter the throne room, guards stopped them. "High Council meetings are attended by the council itself and necessary, and no other, unless specifically requested by the king." Opeli said to Drake and Corvus. "Oh, well, I'd, uh… I'd like to request Corvus, Drake, and their Pokemon to come. Specifically." Ezran said to Opeli.
"That checks out." A guard said to everyone. Then the guards let them into the throne room. While walking into the throne room, Ezran noticed everyone looking at him, and it made him feel neovius. Ezran then reached the throne, and looked at it for a few seconds, with a sad face. Ezran then sat on the throne, and put the crown in the box next to the throne, as everyone gathered at his side.
"Well, what do we do now?" Ezran asked everyone. "Opeli, what's on the schedule for today?" Drake asked Opeli. "The first order of business is to review messages received by the kingdom." Opeli said to Ezran and Drake. "Crow Lord?" Opeli said, but nothing happened. "Crow Lord!" Opeli yelled, and again nothing happened.
Then the Crow Master and Murkrow appeared from behind a stone pillar in the room. "Oh! Sorry, the Crow Lord isn't here. He's taking a personal day." The Crow Master said to Opeli, walking to everyone. "And you are?" Opeli asked the Crow Master. "He's the Crow Master, and is the man below the Crow Lord. And if the Crow Lord isn't here for whatever reason. He's our man." Drake said to Opeli.
"Okay. then can you please read the king his messages?" Opeli the Crow Master. The Crow Master pulled out a tiny scroll. "It's so small. There can't be too much stuff, right?" Ezran asked everyone. "You have 417 unread messages." The Crow Master said to everyone. "417!?" Drake asked, as a wagon full of letters was rolled into the throne room. "So much for the first order of business of the day. This will take us all day." Drake said to everyone.
"Your majesty, if the king so desires, we could begin with the messages marked "urgent"." Opeli asked Ezran. "Uh… I do so desire." Ezran said to Opeli. "That checks out." A guard said to everyone, making Drake slap his hand into his face.
Forest In Xadia
Back with the rest of the gang, they were walking through the forest, when they noticed some flowers moving around, getting a closer look Allen and Callum noticed it was playing music. This made Callum gasp. "It plays music!" Callum said to everyone, before waving his figure in rhythm to the flower. "I gotta admit, I've never seen anything like this." Allen said to everyone, with a smile. This made the girls smile.
"Yup. It's a melodaisy." Rayla said to everyone, before she started to move. Everyone then ran after her. "Rayla. You're pushing us to move too fast. You know, there's a human saying, "Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses." Or listen to them, or whatever." Callum said to Rayla, before they stopped in another flower patch. The girls then had an idea.
"Maybe you're right, Callum. Did you know there's a Xadian flower with a more fascinating scent than anything in the human kingdoms?" Rayla said to Callum, before picking one of the nearby flowers. "Here's one for you Allen." Kali said to Allen, before picking one of the flowers. "Go ahead, stop and smell these two." Rayla said to the boys, as they passed the boy the flowers.
The boys started to smell the flowers, but they burst open and fired a fart into their faces. This made them cough, as the girls and Pokemon laughed at them. "What was that?" Callum asked the girls. "Some call them flatu-lillies, toot-lips, peri-stinkles. They go by many names." Rayla said to the boy. "But the common term is "fart flower"." Kali said to the boys. "That is both fascinating and disgusting." Allen said to the girls.
Then they heard Zym chirping and turned to see Zym, and Zym jumped into the fart flower patch. "Zym! Not in the fart flower." Allen said, as he and Callum ran to fish Zym out of the flowers. When they guys pulled Zym out of the flowers, they smelled Zym, and Zym smelled horrible. "Ugh! It's even worse." Callum said, as everyone else reached them.
"I wish Ez were here to smell this. He'd love it." Callum said to everyone, sighing in the middle. "And I wish Drake was here. So we can wash Zym down." Allen said, flapping his hands, making Zym's small move away from everyone.
The Castle In Katolis
In the Castle, The Crow Master was reading the letters, slowly, and making everyone sleepy. Then the Crow Master pulled out another letter from the pile, and it made him wince. "Oh, dear. Um… uh…" The Crow Master said. "What's wrong?" Ezran asked the Crow Master. "I'm not really comfortable reading some of these things out loud." The Crow Master said to Ezran.
Drake then walked up to the Crow Master and took the letter. "Why? Too private?" Drake asked the Crow Master before reading it. After a quick read, his eyes widened. "Oh, that's not good. Ah Opeli, you might want to read this." Drake said to Opeli. Opeli walked over to Drake, and took the letter. Drake then noticed three more letters in the pile, and pulled them. Drake read one of them. "We got another one." Drake said, passing the letter to Opeli.
"Assassins." Opeli said to everyone, as Drake read another letter. "What?" Ezran asked Opeli. "There have been attacks in other kingdoms. Successful attacks." Opeli said to everyone, making everyone mutter. "King Florian and Queen Fareeda are dead. And King Ahling is gravely injured." Opeli said, making Ezran cover his mouth. "It appears that Xadia is waging war on all of humanity." Opeli said to everyone.
"I don't think so." Drake said, making everyone look at him. "This letter is from Queen Aanya. According to her, the assassin was an elf, but made out of black and purple smoke, and Rolwet evolved into a Dartrix and blew it away with some kind of dark wind, probably an Ominous Wind attack, leaving behind a tiny knife." Drake said, before rolling up the letter, and slapping it in his hands. "Made out of black and purple smoke." Drake said, as he thought about it.
But he didn't get too deep into thought, some was knowing on the door. That's when the guard that Rayla spared walked in. "We are in the middle of an important discussion!" Opeli said to the guard. "Opeli calm down." Drake said to Opeli. "Marcos, you better have a good reason interrupting us?" Drake asked the guard.
"We've arrested two traitors. We need the king's judgement immediately." Marcos said to Drake, confusing Ezran. "Bring them in." Drake said to Marcos. That's when Claudia and Soren were moved into the throne room, with their wrists in shackles. While moving the guard pushed them forward, making Soren drop to his knees. This surprised everyone, and Ezran was the only one worried about them.
Forest In Xadia
With the rest of the gang, Rayla led everyone to a cliff on the edge of a massive tree. This gave everyone a good look over the land, and everyone enjoyed the view. "How are we going to get down?" Callum asked everyone, as he looked over the edge of the cliff. "I could fly everyone down, but it would take a while." Allen said to everyone. "That won't be necessary." Kali said to Allen. "To go down, we need to go up." Rayla said to everyone, as she pointed to the massive tree.
"Wow. This must be the biggest tree in the world. What do you call it?" Callum asked everyone. "A tree." Rayla said, before pulling out her weapons in hook form, and giving one to Callum. "Up we go!" Rayla said, as he started to climb the tree. Callum then tried to follow her, but was having a hard time. Zym then flew onto Callum's backpack, and hanged onto it. Lurantis then used her arms to climb up the tree, and was having an easy time climbing then Callum was. Gligar and Yanma, just started to fly up.
"Kali, what do you say, we work smarter not harder?" Allen asked Kali, as he returned Serperior to his Pokeball. "I say, let's do it." Kali said to Allen. Allen then got ready to fly, with Kali holding onto his back. "See you at the top." Allen said to everyone, as he and Kali flew up to the top of the tree, with Kali having a good time.
The Castle In Katolis
In the Castle, everyone stared at Claudia and Soren, with Ezran the only one worried about them, while Drake didn't care about them. "Well, well, well. Look who came back? I gotta ask? How did you two think this would go? Walking in here after all you've done? But I must say, Soren you're looking much better since the last time I saw you. And Claudia, I see you dyed your hair white a little." Drake said to Claduai and Soren.
"What's going on? Why are they chained up?" Ezran asked everyone, as he got off the throne. "Your Majesty, they're Lord Viren's children." Marcos said to Ezran. "So what?" Ezran asked Marcos. "The high mage is in prison for treason. We suspect they were involved in his conspiracy." Opeli said to Ezran.
"I believe they were. They were the only two that came looking for us. They tried to kidnap the princes, and Soren tried to kill me and my brother." Drake said to everyone, making them look at Soren and Claudia. "This doesn't look good for you." Drake said to Soren and Claudia.
"No, you've got it all wrong. When Dad sent us after the princes-" Claudia said to everyone, but Opeli interrupted her. "Viren sent you after the princes?" Opeli asked Claudia. "Uh… uh… "Sent" is a strong word." Claudia said to Opeli, trying to make it sound better then. "But it's an appropriate word. You tried to use Dark Magic on the Princes, and drag them back against their will!" Drake said to Claudia
"My point is, he wanted us to rescue the princes, not kill them!" Claudia said to everyone. "Really? After all, he lied to the kingdom about the Princes being alive, and said that me and my brother killed them. So how can we believe that their well being was something he cared about?" Drake asked Claudia, slamming his staff end into the floor, making a loud bang sound.
"From what you and Drake said. It's clear that you, your brother, and father are guilty of treason." Opeli said to Claudia. "Ugh, Soren, help! Tell them we didn't do anything wrong." Claudia asked Soren. But Soren lowered his head. "What's wrong Soren? Liepard got your tongue?" Drake asked Soren.
"King Ezran, they need to be locked away. Give the order." Opeli said to Ezran. "But… I'm not really sure what they were trying to do." Ezran said to Opeli. "Ezran, they tried to kidnap you and your brother, and kill the rest of us. Even if they were only following orders, that doesn't excuse their actions." Drake said to Ezran.
"Ezran, please, we talked about this-" Claudia said to Ezran, but Opeli interrupted her. "Silence!" Opeli said to Claudia. "My king, you need to make a decision." Opeli said to Ezran. "Okay, but let them rest while I decide." Ezran said to Opeli, before taking the crown from its box. "Get them some food." Ezran said to everyone, making Claudia sigh. "In that case. Lock them in a food storage room. And have a couple guards stand guard at the door." Drake said to everyone.
"Thank you, Ezran." Claudia said to Ezran. "Be warned. You or your brother do anything or try to leave that storage room. You will be killed on sight. Do I make myself clear?" Drake asked Claudia and Soren. Claudia nodded rapidly, yes. Soren didn't say anything or move his head. "Get them out of here." Drake said to the guards, as they took Claudia and Soren away.
"This is a mistake. They're too dangerous. You can't just release them." Opeli said to Ezran. "Fine, fine, keep the chains on. Until I can make up my mind." Ezran said to Opeli. "I'm sorry." Ezran said to Cludia, before she and her brother were too far away from him. Then the throne room doors closed. "I'm sorry." Ezran said, feeling guilty. Drake noticed this and sighed.
Meanwhile outside a young man with dark skin, athletic build, muscular limbs, a long slim face, a round noise, brown hair that was in a ponytail, olive eyes, wearing black green robes with a hit of white and gold in it, and wearing a crown, was riding a horse, with some warriors with green armor, following him. The man rode into the castle, and looked at the direction of the throne room.
Meanwhile inside, Laduai was pacing back and forth, as Soren ate some of the bread. "Ugh! How long are they going to keep us like this? We're prisoners in our own home." Claudia asked Soren. "Well, at least we have bread." Soren said to Claudia, before taking a bite of some bread.
"They're still going to give us bread in the dungeon, right?" Soren asked Claudia. "We're not going to the dungeon, Soren! We didn't do anything wrong." Claudia said to Soren. "Did you hear what Drake said? He told everyone that we tried to kidnap the princes, which we did. And I told you, Dad wanted me to kill the princes and blame it on the twins. That means we're guilty. At least I am on that last part." Soren said to Claudia.
"No, you're not. I don't know if you misunderstood or mis-remembered, or mis-listened, but there's no way Dad would tell you to do that." Claudia said to Soren. "It doesn't matter anyway. Dad's in prison, Drake told everyone what we did at the efl ruins, and everyone else is telling Ezran we're guilty, too." Soren said to Claudia.
"Ezran thinks for himself. He'll see through this mess, and he'll do the right thing" Claudia said to Soren, before noticing Soren placing three pieces of bread together. "Why are you stacking the bread like that?" Claudia asked Soren. "It's a bread sandwich." Soren said to Claudia, before taking a big bite of the bread, like it was a sandwich. This annoyed Claudia, and she walked away.
Back in the throne room, things had calmed down, but then a guard walked into the throne room. "King Ezran, a visitor has arrived." The guard said to everyone. "Who?" Drake asked the guard. "Prince Kasef of Neolandia, eldest son of King Ahling." the guard said, as the doors opened and the man and his warriors walked into the room.
Both Ezran and the man bowed to each other. "Prince Kasef, I heard about what happened to your father. I'm so sorry." Ezran said to the man. "Thank you for your condolences. And the tragedy of your father's loss breaks my heart. But the important thing is that we're here now." Kasef said to Ezran. "Yes. I'm happy to meet you." Ezran said to Kasef, as he held out a hand. Kasef then hesitantly shook Ezran's hand.
"My army stands outside your city gates, at the ready." Kasef said to Ezran. "At the ready? What do you mean?" Ezran asked Kasef, making Kasef grunt. "Forgive me, but was it not a week ago your regent called on us to unite against the rising Xadina threat?" Kasef asked Ezran.
"Uh…" Ezran said, not knowing what to say. "He's talking about Viren. While we were gone, he tried to become the king of Katolis, and he faked being your regent to make the other kingdoms join him." Drake said to Ezran. "In other words. You and your army being here is from a tratoirs lies, and we have no interest in fighting against Xadia." Drake said to Kasef.
"How can you say that? Xadia has attacked the human kingdoms. All of us. There must be a proportionate response." Kasef said to Drake. "King Ezran, what do you say?" Kasef asked Ezran. "I'm sorry, but, um, I'm kind of new at this. I'm not really sure what you mean. What kind of response?" Ezran asked Kasef. "War." Kasef said to Ezran.
"What? No. The people of the human kingdoms and Xadia want peace." Ezran said to Kasef. "Am I missing something? Why is a child on the throne now? Isn't there an adult advisor I can speak with?" Kasef asked everyone, making Drake, Opeli, Corvus, and the Pokemon mad. "I'm right here. You can speak with me." Ezran said to Kasef.
"If you can't take action against Xadia, you have failed as a king. And you have failed as a son." Kasef said to Ezran. "ENOUGH!" Drake said, slamming his staff end on the floor, making a lighting bolt sound. Kasef warrior charged at Drake, on reflex.
But Drake held up a hand. "Thunder Wave." Drake said, as four small bolts of electricity shot out of his hands and hit the warriors. The warriors glow yellow and make a cracking sound. Soon the glow completely covered the warriors, and they stopped, with an axe right near Drake's face. Drake then pushed the axe back, making the warriors fall to the ground like dominos.
"Don't try that again. Next time I won't be so nice as to just give you temporary paralyzation." Drake said to the warriors. "As for you." Drake said to Kasef, turning to him. "Who is the child here? Is it the one who wants peace or the one that's throwing a tantrum about his old man getting hurt?" Drake asked Kasef. "Are you calling me a child?" Kasef asked Drake.
"Yes I am." Drake asid to Kasef. "You have no right to call me that! I'm trying to get justice for my father." Kasef said to Drake. "Revage, not justice. You should use the correct word. After all, if you plan to get all your people killed, then you should use the right word." Drake said to Kasef, before the two started to lock horns.
"ENOUGH!" Corvus said to both of them. "Drake, stand down." Corvus said to Drake, making Drake back away from Kasef. "And you. You have a disagreement, but you are in the court of King Ezran." Corvus said to Kasef. "Who are you to talk to me?" Kasef asked Corvus. "I'm Corvus. I was specifically requested." Corvus said to Kasef. "And unlike you, who came here because of a traitor, he was asked to be here by our true King." Drake said to Kasef.
Kasef then sighed. "I'm sure once King Ezran has proper council, he will make the correct choice." Kasef said to everyone. "I will remain in Katolis awaiting your decision." Kasef said to Ezran, before leaving, with his warriors being bragged out by some of the guards.
Forest In Xadia
With the rest of the gang, Callum finally made it to the top with everyone waiting for him, and Serperior out of his Pokeball again. Rayla helped Callum up. The girls then lead everyone to the massive seeds with one wing on each of the seeds. Rayla then jumped down onto a seed. Allen followed Rayla and jumped down. The Pokemon then jumped down to the seed. Then Kai jumped down, and Allen caught her and put her down on the seed.
Callum then nouriesly got ready to jump down, but he didn't jump. That's when Zym flew down to everyone. "Come on Callum." Allen said to Callum. Callum then jumped down to everyone. "Get ready. Hold on tight." Rayla said to everyone, as she started to chop the seed steam.
"Uh, are you sure this is safe?" Callum asked Rayla. "As long as you hold on tight." Rayla said to Callum. This made Allen ram his staff into the seed, Gliggar slamming her pincers into the seed, and Lurantis slammed her scythes into a seed. Kali then wrapped her arms around Allen, Yanma attached to Gliggar's tail, and Serperior wrapped around Lurantis.
Then the seed broke free, and split into two helicopter seeds, on one seed was Callum, Zym, Rayla, Gligar, and Yanma, and on the other seed was Allen, Kali, Serperior, and Lurantis.
As they flew down, Callum was having a hard time holding on. Then Callum crashed into Rayla, and grabbed her, Rayla grabbed him, and she smirked. After a bit of spinning, they reached the bottom with a gentle landing.
That's when everyone noticed they were still holding on each other and separated. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to…" Callum said to Rayla, as he blushed at Rayla. "It's okay. It was a bumpy ride." Rayla said to Callum, as she blushed at Callum. "Well Allen. Thanks for being an anchor for me." Kali said to Allen, hiding her blush from Allen. "I'll always be there for you." Allen said to Kali, hiding his blush from Kali.
All the Pokemon sighed, knowing the human boys were falling for the elf girls, and the elf girls were falling for the human boys. Then everyone started to walk.
The Castle In Katolis
In the Castle, Ezran was in the yard, laying down on his back, looking at the sky, with a letter on his hands. That's when Opeli, Abigail, with a basket in her hands, and their Pokemon walked over to him. They all moved to Ezran's view, and looked down. "May we join you?" Opeli asked Ezran. "Sure. Have a seat." Ezran said to them, as they took a seat. "I heard you had a bad time in the throne room, so I brought you some food." Abigail said to Ezran, giving him the basket.
"I noticed you aren't wearing it." Opeli said to Ezran, as Ezran took out a sandwich from the basket. "Wearing what?" Ezran asked Opeli, before he could take a bite of the sandwich. Opeli looked away from Ezran. "Ezran, the crown is a heavy burden to carry." Opeli said to Ezran. Ezran then had a sad look on his face and he sighed.
"There's so much happening. I don't know what to do." Ezran said to Opeli, before hugging the letter in his hands. "There's no shame if you aren't yet ready. No one blames you for being a child." Opeli said to Ezran, placing a hand on Ezran's back. "I feel like I'm letting everyone down." Ezran said to Opeli.
Opeli then had an idea. "There may be a way out." Opeli said to Ezran. "What?" Ezran asked Opeli, as Opeli stood up. "There are capable people around you who can take up the burden of ruling for a few years, while you… just focus on growing up." Opeli said to Ezran. "You're saying… a regent?" Ezran asked Opeli.
"Yes. Someone you trust. You choose who it is. For a few years. The crown will be here for you when you're ready." Opeli said to Ezran. "That would help Ezran now. But who can we trust to run the kingdom and hand it over to Ezran in a decade at most?" Abigail asked Opeli. "I can think of at least one person." Opeli said to Abigail. "Just think about it." Opelu said to Ezran, before she and Chimecho bowed and left.
"This is so much to handle." Ezran said to Abigail. "Ezran. You have to cut yourself some slack. You've gone from kid to King in a day. You can't expect to be ready to make hard choices when you never had to make them before." Abigail said to Ezran. "But what if I make the wrong choice?" Ezran asked Abigail. "Ezran, there's no such thing as a wrong choice. Just choices." Abigail said to Ezran. Ezran looked down at the letter again.
"You know it was your mother's choice to help a little homeless girl, that I was able to enter the castle. And it was my choice to be a maid and not be a guest in your home, that I became the woman I am today. It was your fathers choice to help Queen Annika and Queen Neha, even if that meant hurting his own people. And it was your fathers choice for revenge that led to his death." Abigail said to Ezran, before rubbing Ezran's back, making Ezran sad a little.
"We can't make everyone happy. We just have to do what we think is right, and stand up for what we believe in." Abigail said to Ezran, making Ezran raise his head. "So then you'll be my regent?" Ezran asked Abigail. "No. But I'll be your maid. King or not. My loyalty will always be towards you and your family. Consider it thanks for giving me a home and a better life." Abigail said to Ezran.
"Then what about Drake? Do you think he would be my regent?" Ezan asked Abigail. "Drake is brave, strong, and quite the looker." Abigail said to Ezran, before getting lost in thought and blushing. Ezran then snapped his figures, pulling Abigail back to reality. "But I don't think he would take the job. And even if he did, I'm sure he would ask for your approval on many things." Abigail said to Ezran.
"Why? He was so strong in the council meeting. He never backed down from anyone, and stood tall." Ezran said to Abigail. "That's only because Drake's will is strong. I'm sure once you find your will, it will be loud like thunder." Abigail said to Ezran, messing with Ezran's hair.
"Well I can't ask Rockruff, since he's not here. So what do you say, Bait? Be my regent?" Ezran asked Bait. But Bait just grunt and rolled over onto his back. "I agree. You'd be a tyrant." Ezran said to Bait, as he pet Bait's belly. "Yes, all bow and tremble before Bait the great Glow Toad." Abigail said to everyone, bowing to Bait, and everyone laughing.
Forest In Xadia
With the rest of the gang, Rayla led everyone into some tall grasses as the sun started to set. "We made it just in time." Rayla said to everyone, as they stopped in front of grasses. "So, what did you want to show us?" Callum asked Rayla. Rayla then pulled Callum to the edge of the grass. Callum then walked into the grass but nothing happened. "Was something supposed to happen?" ALlen asked Rayla, as he, Kali, and the Pokemon moved into the grass.
"I used to come to this meadow when I was a kid. I would spend hours on my own, exploring and making all kinds of colorful little friends." Rayla said to everyone. "I never thought I would hear you say something like that." Kali said to Rayla. "And what friends?" Callum asked Rayla.
Rayla then dug through the grass, and then threw something at Callum. The thing landed on Callum's right elbow. That's when Callum noticed it was a small blue fuzzy ball. "What is it?" Callum asked, as he pulled it off, and everyone got a good look at it.
That's when they noticed that the little fuzzy ball was alive, this made everyone gasp. "It's an adoraburr." Rayla said to everyone, as she reached them, and Callum, Kali, and Allen noticed their legs were covered in mutley color adoraburr. "They're so cute!" Callum said, as everyone smiled.
"Look! They stick together. I thought you'd like them." Rayla said to everyone, as she held up three of them that were stuck together. "I love them." Callum said to Rayla, before falling back into the grass, shooting out adoraburr. Then he got up, Callum had a multi color afro of adoraburrs. This made everyone laugh.
"That's nice. No, really, that look suits you." Rayla said to Callum. Callum then had another idea and cannon balled into the grass. When Callum stood up, he was completely covered in adoraburr.
"Hey. hey these things come off right?" Callum asked everyone, before they all laughed at Callum. "If not, that's a good look for you." Allen said to Callum, before a wind blew at Callum, blowing off the adoraburrs and making the adoraburr land on everyone else.
That's when everyone noticed this small tan creature, with curved green horns, and a very large amount of fluffy with adoraburrs in it. "Cool a Whimsicott." Allen said to everyone. "A Whimsicott?" Kali asked Allen, as Allen pulled out his Pokedex.
Whimsicott / Windveiled Pokemon / Grass + Fairy Type / As long as this Pokemon bathes in sunlight, its cotton keeps growing. If too much cotton fluffy builds up, Whimsicott tears it off and scatters it.
"I guess she lives here." Allen said, putting his pokedex away. "Well then. I hope you can have a nice life with them, and will protect them." Rayla said to Whimsicott.
The Castle In Katolis
In the Castle, Ezran was looking out over the land, as the sun started to set, and petting Bait. After thinking for a bit, Ezran then started to move to the throne room. In the throne room, everyone was waiting for him, with Abigail and Piplup in the room as well, passing out food, Claudia and Soren was here to and in chains, and everyone else was just standing around the room.
Everyone froze when the door opened and they saw Ezran and bait walk in. They watched Ezran walk to the throne, with Claudia trying to plead with Ezran, but Ezran's face didn't change from the serious look on his face. Ezran then reached the throne, with Corvus and Staraptor standing next to it. Ezran then looked at the crown.
"Have you given thought to what we discussed?" Opeli asked Ezran. "I have. And I have something to say." Ezran said to Opeli, before sighing, and turning to everyone. "All of you knew King Harrow as a great king. He was a leader, a warrior, and a champion. But I knew him as my dad, who loved me and my brother and our mom. And sometimes told really bad jokes." Ezran said to everyone, making everyone smile for their own reasons.
"I didn't see everything he had to do as king, But I do know that my dad had to make very hard decisions. I'm just a kid. I haven't fought in any battles. I haven't read many books of wisdom. I haven't gone through the things that made my father the king he was. So, I've decided… That I don't have to be the king my father was." Ezran said to everyone, making Corvus, Abigail, and Drake smile even more.
"My father made choices to keep fighting battles that started hundreds of years before he was born. To punish enemies for crimes their parents committed. I don't want to be that kind of king." Ezran said to everyone. "Set them free." Ezran said, surprising everyone. "Soren and Claudia will not pay for the mistakes their father made." Ezran said to everyone.
"But Your Highness, they are criminals." An advisor said to Ezran. "Yeah, after everything they did, you're just going to let them go?" Drake asked Ezran. "Take their chains off!" Ezran said to Drake. "Fine. I'll do it." Drake said to Ezran, as he moved to Soren and Claudia.
"The King has given you both a second chance. A chance that you both don't deserve. But you two are free." Drake said to Soren and Claudia, as he took off their shackles. "But let me make one thing clear. There will not be a third chance." Drake said to Claudia and Soren, before walking away from them.
Ezran then looked at Kasef. "Katolis will not go to war." Ezran said to Kasef, making Kasef look at Ezran with a surprise look on his face. "I'm sorry about what happened to your father, and what happened to mine, but we don't have to avenge them. We don't have to strike back. We can choose peace." Ezran said to Kasef, making everyone gasp.
Kasef then slightly bowed to Ezran before leaving. And while it wasn't said, it was clear Kasef wasn't happy about this. Then the throne room door closed behind Kasef. "King Ezran, I admire your courage. But peace will require just as much strength as war. Are you prepared to defend it?" Opeli asked Ezran. "Yes." Ezran said to Opeli.
Then a whoof could be heard. "It sounds like Ezran will have someone's help in keeping the peace." Drake said with a smile, before the throne room door burst open, and something came running in at high speed. The thing stopped right in front of Ezran.
That's when everyone noticed the tan fur wolf, with a large fluffy white tail, a large wild and messy main, blue eyes, sharp spikes black rocks in the main, and three black rock claws on each of its feet. "Lycanroc." The wolf, before bowing to Ezran.
"Who is that?" Opeli asked everyone. "That's Rockruff. He's evolved into Lycanroc. That's why he was gone all day, so he can become this." Drake said to everyone, as he pulled out his Pokedex.
Lycanroc / Wolf Pokemon / Rock Type / Its quick movements confuse its enemies. Well equipped with claws and fangs, it also uses the sharp rocks in its mane as a weapon.
"I can see that you have changed, and you are wiser and stronger. Can I ask you to help me keep the peace?" Ezran asked Lycanroc, as Drake put his Pokedex away. "Lycanroc." Lycanroc said to Ezran, shaking his head yes.
"Drake, can I ask you something?" Ezran asked Drake. "What is it?" Drake asked Ezran. "I want you to be my head advisor. Even if you speak for me when I'm trying to talk or disagree with me. I know I can trust you, and you will help me keep the peace." Ezran said to Drake, surprising the other advisor. "I accept the position, and pledge my loyalty to you, my king, and to the people of Katolis." Drake said to Ezran, kneeling down to Ezran. "Samurott." Samurott said, before kneeling to Ezran.
"Abigail, can I ask you something?" Ezran asked Abigail. "Of course." Abigail said to Ezran. "I know you'll look out for me, and will make sure I get the best treatment for when I get sick. So asked you, would you like to become my Head Maid?" Ezran asked Abigail. "It would be my greatest honor." Abigail said to Ezran, kneeling to Ezran. "Piplup." Piplup said, as she kneeled to Ezran.
"So, you ready to be King?" Drake asked Ezran, as he, Abigail, and their Pokemon stood up. Then Ezran walked to the crown and put it on. "I am." Ezran said to Drake, as he faced everyone, while standing in front of the throne. Then Drake and Samurott moved to Ezran's right side. Abigail and Piplup moved to Ezran's left. And Lycanroc and Bait stood on the steps to the throne. All their wills were shining like lightning in a storm.
