Hello everyone, sorry for the long wait, but writing 5 big chapters takes a long time. Now if you haven't heard, my Trainer Of Vesperia is finished, and I started Violet Iron & Scarlet Beast; The Abyss Riders. My new Tales of the Abyss Story, which had a cameo in chapter 39 of Trainer Of Vesperia.
Now I based Violet Iron & Scarlet Beast off Kamen Riders, and I don't own Kamen Riders/ Pokemon/ Or Tales of The Abyss. This is all for fun, and I couldn't resist a Kamen Rider theme for my Gen 9 OC, and these Abyss Riders are my idea, I didn't base them off any Kamen Rider form the series, if they sound like a Kamen Rider from the series, then I didn't know, I only know W up in terms of Kamen Riders.
And before we start a quick message to Py1pod. Sorry, but no. I had an idea for the Tales of the Abyss OC's before I put up the vote, and even after reading your comments, it didn't change my mind. So again, sorry, but I didn't use your comments.

Chapter 23
Heroes, Masterminds, and Love
The Castle In Katolis
In the Castle, Ezran was laying in his cell, trying to get some sleep. But that's when he noticed Bait above him, looking through the bar on the cell's ceiling. "Hey! I was hoping you;d be my first visitor. Where's Lycanroc?" Ezran asked Bait. "Bait then croaked. "Fair point, I'm sure they would notice him. But I wish I could come up there with you, but…" Ezran said to Bait, before showing off the shackles on him.
Bait then started to move. Ezran wondered what Bait was doing. That's when Bait tossed a lot of jelly tarts into the cell, before squeezing through the bars and joined Ezran in the cell. "See? This isn't so bad." Ezran asked Bait, as they shared the jelly tarts.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, while Allen's Pokemon dug the other Pokemon out of Arithi's Rock Slide, Callum, Rayla, Allen, and Kali were running around looking for Nyx and Arithi, who had taken Zym. "They got Zym! We have to stop her before they get too far into the desert." Rayla said to everyone. "Tell us something we don't know!" Allen said to Rayla.
"Our mounts are gone! Nyx must have untired them." Callum said to everyone. "And with Arithi's rock covering Bouffalant and Rapidash, we can't use them at the moment." Kali said to everyone. "Let's find our mounts. They should be around here somewhere." Rayla said to everyone.
A few seconds later they found the mounts. But the mounts were outside the barrier. Rayla whistled, making the bob-cat mount come back to her, but the fox mount stayed where it was. And no matter how many times Rayla whistled, the fox mount wouldn't come to her. "Why won't she come?" Rayla asked, before walking out of the barrier. "Rayla, wait?! They're can be only one reason here!" Kali said to Rayla, as they all ran after Rayla.
That is when they noticed something glowing and slithering under the ground. That's when black snakes popped out of the ground, with glowing green eyes and sack. The snakes slithered around the fox mount. "Soulfangs serpents. You need to stay very, very still." Rayla said to everyone, before pulling out a blade.
"Uh… Yup! That's my plan. Still as a mouse. Wait. Are mice still? Or just quiet as a mouse?" Callum said to Rayla and asked everyone. "Just do both!" Rayla said to Callum. "From behind the barrier, would be a good place to do that." Kali said to Callum, as she dragged Callum into the barrier, with Allen following them.
Rayla then ran to the fox mount, dodging a soulfangs attack. Then Rayla threw her blade killing the soulfang she dodged, killing it. As she pulled out her other blade, she noticed she was too late, and a soulfang bit into the fox mount. "No!" Rayla said, as the fox mount turned tan, like it was a husk, and ran away, making Rayla gasp.
"Rayla run!" Kali said to Rayla. Rayla then started to run, but that's when a few soulfangs popped out of the ground, and followed Rayla. Then one of the soulfang lunged at Rayla. But then Allen, minus his staff, appeared behind Rayla, and took the bite from the soulfang. That's when Rayla reached the barrier, and turned around to see Allen bitten by a soulfang.
But instead of turning into a husk, Allen popped and turned into a cloud of smoke, before dispersing. "ALLEN!" Everyone yelled. "Yes?" A male voice asked everyone. That's when everyone turns to see Allen standing behind them, alive and well.
"What?! But you… and the soulfang… HOW?!" Rayla asked Allen. "I knew I couldn't leave the barrier, but I couldn't just stand here and do nothing. I knew I had to be in two places at once, and then I felt some energy in my body form. Next thing I know, A copy of me is running out, and taking the bite from the soulfang. It looks like how Drake learned Thunder Wave from getting hit by lighting, I learned to make a Substitute, in this life and death situation." Allen said to Rayla.
That's when Kali tackled Allen to the ground. "You jerk! Do you have any idea how your little stunt scared me?" Kali asked Allen, as she started to punch him. "I watch you die. Do you know how that made me feel? How sacred I was! How I thought I'd never see you again!" Kali said to Allen, as she stopped punching and putting her head into his chest.
"I thought I lost you." Kali said to Allen, before crying a little. "Promise me that you'll never do that again?" Kali asked Allen. Allen then hugged Kali. "I can't promise that. If I have to. I would lay down my life, for you, For Zym, for my friends, for peace." Allen said to Kali. "I'm not letting you get up or go, unless you promise me." Kali said to Allen.
"You know I can't lie, Kali." Allen said to Kali. "Then I guess I'm going to keep you pinned to the ground." Kali said to Allen. "Will you two stop playing around? We have to come up with a plan." Rayla said to Kali and Allen, as she forced Kali off Allen.
"So then what is the plan now?" Allen asked everyone, as he got up. "The plan is to stay here. That goes double for you, Mr. Give Me A Heart Attack." Kali said to Allen. "Kali's right. It's too dangerous. We have to wait until sunrise." Rayla said to everyone.
The Castle In Katolis
The next morning, at the Castle, a lot of people were in the throne room, among those people was Drake, Corvus, Opeli, Staraptor, and Chimecho, with all of Drake's Pokemon in their Pokeballs. Not to mention, Soren, Claudia, Kasef and Saleer were in the room as well. That's when the door opened and Viren walked into the room, making everyone gasp. With Kasef and Saleer smirking.
Viren then stopped in the middle of the room. "Today is a new day! Katolis has a new king and a new royal line." Viren said to everyone. "You're no king." Drake said, as he and Opeli stepped forward, making Viren sigh. "Drake's right. King Ezran has abdicated. That does not entitle you to take his place." Opeli said to Viren, walking to Viren.
"Oh? And why not?" Viren asked Opeli. "Oh, I don't know. Your acts of treason might be a good reason." Drake said to Viren. "I never committed treason." Viren said to Drake. "So saying that me and Allen killed Ezran and Callum, and tried to crown yourself king the next day was, what? A joke?" Drake asked Viren, making Viren go quiet. "That's what I thought." Drake said to Viren.
"Plus we have laws. Our laws tell us there is a way to choose a new royal line. It's how we've done things for centuries. Only orphans have a right to ascend." Opeli said to everyone. "My parents are dead. Does that count?" Viren asked. "No. The law says it has to be a child. And you're not a kid, so you can't take the throne." Drake said to
"So says you. But does anyone else here share Opeli and Drake's concern?" Viren said to Drake and asked everyone in the room. No one said anything, but a few people did have concerns. "Viren, you are not above the law!" Opeli said to Viren. "She's right! Even if you walk free, you still committed treason, and shouldn't even be allowed in this room!" Drake said to Opeli.
"I'm afraid you two have misjudged the situation terribly." Viren said to Opeli and Drake, before walking to the throne and taking the crown. "I am the law." Viren said to Opeli and Drake, looking at the crown. "You are not the law. You murder of Kings and Queens!" Drake said, causing Viren to finch, that anyone noticed, Drake words made everyone gasp.
While everyone was talking, Corvus grabbed Opeli, and started to leave, with Chimecho and Staraptor following them. Then Abigail and Piplup opened the door from the other side, sneaking them all out. And while most people didn't notice, Soren noticed them leaving.
"What are you two doing?" Opeli asked Corvus, as they ran through the hallways. "Drake knew that Viren would take the crown no matter what you and he said, all because it was Saleer's idea for Ezran and Viren to trade places." Abigail said to Opeli. "Drake knew that he had to make a scene in order to let us escape." Corvus said to Opeli.
"Why?" Opeli asked Corvus. "It won't be long before he goes after traitors. That's us. Drake told us to flee." Corvus said to Opeli. "What do we do? Where do we go?" Opeli asked everyone. "The Kingdom of Duren. It's our only chance to find help." Corvus said to Opeli. "What about Drake?" Opeli asked everyone. "He said he had a way out. We just have to trust him." Abigail said to Opeli.
Then when they ran into Soren, and while the humans got worried, the Pokemon got ready for a fight.
Back in the throne room Viren put the crown down, and turned to Drake. "What lies are you spewing?" Viren asked Drake, making everyone go quiet, and look at Viren and Drake. "It's not a lie. Unlike Kasef I have a brain. And I know it was you that killed the kings and queens in the other kingdoms, not Xadia." Drake said to Viren. "How can you say that? It was elf assassins that killed them." Viren said to Drake.
"Assassins you sent. Isn't it strange. Not long after rejecting you, assassins attacked. Assassins made from black smoke, black smoke like the monsters Claudia attacked me and my friends with. You used Dark Magic on the ashes of the elf assassins that died the night Harrow died, and sent them to kill those kings and queens that wouldn't follow your madness. Our current problem isn't Xadia. It's you. Your ideas keep making things worse." Drake said to Viren.
"You're just lying. You don't care about us. You only care about your Pokemon." Viren said to Drake. "I care about everyone, both Humans and Pokemon. I can't just stand aside and watch as you lead the human race to death and ruin." Drake said to Viren.
"If you care so much about the people then prove it." Saleer said to Drake, getting Drake's attention. This made Drake turn to see Saleer order a few guards to bring him a cage. In that cage was a small round red creature, with stubby arms and legs, with three point orange hands and feet, three yellow spots on its belly, white eyes, and big fluffy yellow eyebrows.
"Saleer? Why is that Darumaka here?" Drake asked Saleer, pointing to the creature in the cage. "Call it a test of loyalty. Kill this Pokemon. Right here, right now. Prove to everyone that you're a man of the people. Show us what kind of man you are." Saleer said to Drake, as the guards put the Darumaka down next to him.
"Fine. You want to see what kind of man I am." Drake said to Saleer, walking up to Saleer and the Darumaka. Drake then raised his staff, and started to generate a large amount of electricity. This made Saleer smile, and scared the Darumaka "I'm not a traitor, LIKE YOU!" Drake said, before grabbing the bottom of his staff, and swung it into the right side of Saleer's head, sending Saleer flying into a wall.
This made two guards out of all the guards in the room, to charge at Drake. But that's when Drake glowed black, making the guards stop right before they reached him. Then the light faded, and everyone saw Drake in his Zekrom form. Drake then used the back hand on his free hand to knock the guards that tried to attack him to the ground.
"I'm leaving. And we met again. I will finish what Zekrom did all those years ago, and strick down you, your daughter, and everyone who uses your veil and twisted Dark Magic." Drake said to Viren, pointing his staff at Viren. That's when he made his staff glow blue, and he grabbed the Darumaka. Drake then flew out a window, breaking it.
"Since when could he do that?!" Viren asked Claudia. "The flying thing. Not that long, but that armor thing was new." Claudia said to Viren.
Meanwhile, while still a ghost, Aaravos was watching all of this from the ceiling, leaning against a pillar, like he was on the ground floor. Well, it looks like Zekrom's Herald is getting stronger. This is getting interesting.' Aaravos thought, as he cracked a wicked smile.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, withafter that bad night, Rayla and Callum were riding the bobcat mount together with Yanma and Glifar following them, Kali and Lurantis was riding Rapidash, and Allen was riding Bouffalant, with all of Allen's other Pokemon back in their Pokeballs, and Sandile joining Allen on Bouffalant.
While riding away form the oasis, Rayla made sure to get her blade from last night, as they ran past it. But doing that caused Callum to almost slip off the mount. "Ugh. Will you stop moving around?" Rayla asked Callum, as Callum tried to stay on the mount.
"Sorry. I'm just trying to find a good position. Oops! See? It's tricky." Callum said to Rayla. "Why is he riding with me?" Rayla asked Kali and Allen. "Because your mount is the only one with room for a second rider." Kali said to Rayla. "Just hold onto me." Rayla said to Callum.
"Ph, I mean, I guess I could do that? If You don't think that would be-" Callum said to Rayla, blushing like crazy, and not knowing what to say. "If I don't think that would be what?" Rayla asked Callum. "Weird." Callum said to Rayla. "You're already weird. Super weird. Just hold on." Rayla said to Callum. "Uh, Uh… uh, okay, sure. Sure. Not weird. Putting my arm around you seems… very normal. I'm just, uh, gonna do… that." Callum said to Rayla, before wrapping his arms around Rayla's stomach.
"So how are we going to find them? Zym, Nyx, and Arithi." Callum asked everyone. "We're tracking them as we speak. I picked up a thing or two from Corvus. It's subtle, but if you look closely, you can find the ambler's tracks." Rayla said to Callum, as she pointed to the ground. That's when Callum noticed the tracks, and that they were following them.
The Castle In Katolis
Back in the Castle, Ezran and Bait finished all the jelly tarts in their cell, and enjoyed Bait burping. That's when they heard someone walking up to Ezran's cell. "Someone's coming. You need to hide. No glowing." Ezran said to Bait, as Ezran hid bait behind himself. That's when the someone entered the cell, revealing it to be Soren. "Soren?" Ezran asked Soren, surprised to see him. "I'm here to help. I'm gonna get you out of here." Soren said to Ezran. This made Bait glow pink, and nuzzle Ezran.
Soren then freed Ezran, and led Ezran and Bait threw the underground part of the castle. "Why are you doing this? Helping us." Ezran asked Soren, making Soren stop and turn to Ezran. "Your dad was a good king. As crown guard, it was my job to make sure that nothing happened to him. No matter what." Soren said to Ezran, before kneeling.
"So, when the moonshadow elves came, I did everything I could to protect him. But it wasn't enough. I just don't want to fail you, too. Plus I wanted to show Drake I wasn't going to waste my second chance." Soren said to Ezran. "Thanks, Soren." Ezran said to Drake.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, everyone was still following the tracks, that's when Rayla noticed something. "Is that a mirage? Or is the Ambler getting closer?" Rayla asked everyone, as they noticed the Ambler in the distance. "That's not a mirage." Kali said to everyone. "Yeah, I see it, too." Callum said to everyone, making Rayla gasp. "It's foot is stuck again! This is our chance to catch up." Rayla said to everyone.
"Then what are we doing here? Charge!" Allen said to everyone, as he made Bouffalant move faster. "You heard the man. Hee-ya!" Kali said to everyone, as she made Rapidash move faster. "Hang on. Hee-ya!" Rayla said to Callum, as she made their mount move faster, making Callum grunt as he held onto Rayla.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle, Soren, Ezran, and Bait, sneaked out of a well when the cost was clear. "'Kay, listen up. We're gonna have to walk across the bridge without anyone seeing you." Soren said to Ezran. "How are we gonna do that?" Ezran asked Soren, as they walked to a cart of hay.
"Don't worry. I brought a disguise." Soren said to Ezran, pulling out a small bag from the cart. Ezran looked in the bag, and saw nothing in it. "There's no clothes in here." Ezran said to Soren. "Yeah. you climb in, and you'll be disguised as stuff in a sack." Soren said to Ezran, clicking his tongue, thinking it was a good idea. Not the Ezran though it was, and looked around.
"How about I hide in the hay, and you just pull the cart?" Ezran asked Soren. Soren thought about it for a second, and agreed with Ezran. Ezran then got into the cart, and Soren started to pull the cart.
"Horses need hay. I am bringing hay to horses! Very hungry horses need hay. Hungry, hungry horses." Soren said, as he pulled the cart across the bridge, earning some odd looks from the people. "Okay, Okay! I'm… I'm sorry. Please stop yelling at me." A man said to Soren, as he and a few other people moved out of the way of Soren, making Soren chuckle.
"Oh, no, I'm not mad. See ya." Soren said to the man, before he started to walk past some guards. That's when Bait started to glow, and the guards noticed the glow. "Soren, wait!" A male guard said to Soren, making Soren stop and panic a little. "The hay… is glowing." A female guard said to Soren.
"Yeah. Yeah, it is. So?" Soren asked the guards. "Nothing. It's pretty neat." The male guard said to Soren. "Thanks, man. Hay's the best." Soren said to the male guard, before he started to walk again.
Meanwhile inside the castle, Viren was reading some documents with the crown on his head, that's when Claudia poked her head from the door. "Knock knock!" Claudia said to Viren, before walking into the room. But Viren kept reading, as Claudia walked up to Viren, and she noticed Aaravos' caterpillar. "Oh, who's your new friend?" Claudia asked Viren, as she moved to touch Aaravos' caterpillar.
"Don't!" Viren said to Claudia, getting up, and holding out an arm, keeping Claudia away from Aaravos' caterpillar. "Do not touch it." Viren said to Claudia, before turning away from Claudia. "Sorry, Dad. I just thought it looked cute." Claudia said to Viren. This made Viren sighed.
"No. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to get ready for our match on Xadia. Did you need something?" Viren asked Claudia. "Uh, no! After all that stuff Drake said and did in the Throne room, I was just making sure you're okay. I mean, you are okay, right?" Claudia asked Viren, making Viren sighed.
"Thank you. I'm fine. Drake was just trying to make a scene because he's upset I'm going to be the king and not him. Claudia, you understand why Prince Ezran had to be removed and why I don't trust Drake?" Viren asked Claudia. "Of course. He couldn't have done the things that needed to be done, and Drake was just going to let us sit here as we get attacked from Xadia." Claudia said to Viren.
"Others might take a crown out of self-importance, but I-" Viren said to Claudia, but Claudia interrupted him. "You're doing it to help us. To help everyone." Claudia said to Viren. "Yes. Yes, that's right. That's why I know I can count on you, Claudia." Viren said to Claudia. That's when Claudia hugged Viren, and he hugged her.
"Everything's going to be okay, Dad. I'm here for you." Claudia said to Viren, before breaking the hug and walking away. That's when Viren noticed Aaravos by the door, looking at Claudia, as Claudia left the room.
"Well played. She will be a valuable asset." Aaravos said to Claudia. "She is not an asset. She is my daughter." Viren said to Aaravos, with a commanding voice. But Aaravos just cracked a smirk at him.
A Forest
Back with Soren, he pulled the cart into the forest near the castle. "Come on out, everybody." Soren said, as he stopped pulling the cart. That's when Drake, who was in his normal form, Abigail, Corvus, Opeli, Barius, The Darumaka, Lycanroc, Piplup, Staraptor, Chimecho, and Alcremie came out of some bushes, with Ezran's backpack. Ezran and Bait popped their heads out of the hay to see everyone.
Once he was out of the hay, Lycanroc tackled him, and pinned him to the ground, before licking Ezran on the face. "I miss you too, Lycanroc." Ezran said to Lycanroc, before getting Lycanroc off him, and getting up.
"Wow! I can't believe you all worked together to save me." Ezran said to everyone. "Don't thank us. We don't do anything." Abigail said to Ezran. "Credit where credit is due. Soren was the mastermind." Corvus said to Ezran. ""Mastermind." I like it. That can be my new nickname. It even rhymes. Sor-ine the Mastermind" Soren said to everyone. "That does not rhyme." Corvus said to Soren, shaking his head, as Soren walked Ezran, and kneel down.
"I have to go, or my dad will know something is up. These guys will take you to the rendezvous point." Soren said to Ezran. "Thanks, Soren. You're the best crown guard a king could ask for." Ezran said Soren, as Bait got on Soren's knee, and croaked at Soren. Then Ezran hugged Soren and Soren hugged him, and Lycanroc nuzzled Soren's legs. Ezran then finished hugging Ezran, and petted Bait and Lycanroc, making Bait turn orange.
"Soren, before you go I must thank you for helping Ezran escape. It means a lot to me." Drake said to Soren, as Soren gave Bait to Ezran. "It was the right thing to do. Plus he gave me a second chance, and you saved my life. So consider this a thanks for saving me." Soren said to Drake, holding a hand out to Drake.
"Stay safe, and be careful. I'm worried what your father will do now that he's king." Drake said to Soren, shaking Soren's hand. "I will be." Soren said to Drake, after they finished shaking hands. Soren then started to leave, pulling the cart, much to the confusion of everyone but Ezran.
"So Drake, who's that New Pokemon?" Ezran asked Drake. "Oh this little guy. He's a Darumaka. Saleer wanted me to kill him. As a test of loyalty to Viren and himself. But loyalty is to you and to the Pokemon." Drake said to Ezran, picking up Darumaka, and putting him on his soldiers. "Can I see his Pokedex entry?" Ezran asked Drake. "Sure." Drake said, pulling out his Pokedex.

The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, everyone got close to the Ambler, and Arithi noticed them. "Bombirdier." Arithi said, getting Nyx's attention, and making Nyx notice everyone. Frustrated Nyx used her staff to stab the stuck foot of the Ambler. This made the Ambler raise its foot, and it started to move. Nyx and Arithi then flew to the top of the Ambler.
"She got the Ambler's foot unstuck. What do we do now?" Callum asked everyone. "We're going to have to do this the hard way." Rayla said to everyone, as they charged, all with Callum yelping.
The three of them then reached the Ambler's legs and ran around them. Then they got close to the Ambler's front legs, and Rayla and Allen got ready to jump. "No. No, no, no. You two are not gonna…" Callum asked them, but got his answer, as they jumped onto the leg. "This is crazy. This is totally crazy." Callum said to everyone. "Just jump." kali said to Callum, as she jumped onto the Ambler's legs.
Then Sandile jumped and bit into Allen's leg. "Owh! Sandile. You didn't have to come, you know." Allen said to Sandile. That's when Allen noticed Callum was still on the mount. "Callum, come on!" Allen said to Callum. "You can make it! I'll catch you!" Rayla said to Callum.
Callum then got ready to jump, but had a hard time getting his footing. But he still jumped, and while he did land on the Ambler's leg, he didn't have a good grip and started to fall off. Lucky Rayla caught him, and helped him get a grip. Rayla gestured to everyone to be quiet, and start climbing, with Yanma and Gligar flying around them as everyone climbed.
After a bit, they made it to the top, with Rayla and Allen jumping up, to surprise Nyx and Arithi, and to point their weapons at Nyx and Arithi. "Whatever your stupid scheme was, it's over, Nyx." Rayla said to Nyx, as Callum and Kali finally made it up, both out of breath. "We, uh… We trusted you." Callum said to Nyx, as he and Kali, sat on the floor. "So explain why you did this like your life depends on this." Allen said to Nyx, as Sandile got off him.
"What's the big deal?" Nyx asked everyone, turning to face everyone with Zym, in her arms. "I was just taking Zym back to his mum. He would get home faster, and I assume I'd get some sweet treasure or something as a reward. So, you know, win-win." Nyx said to everyone.
"For you… But not… For everyone… else." Kali said to Nyx, as she and Callum kept panting. "Hand. Zym. Over." Rayla said to Nyx, as she and Allen got ready to attack, and Callum and Kali got up. But this just made Nyx laugh. "Wow. you really think you have me and Arithi cornered, don't you? You've forgotten something." Nyx said to everyone, with Zym growling at Nyx a little.
"Oh, yeah? What's that?" Callum asked Nyx. That's when Nyx and Arithi went over the edge, with Zym still in Nyx's arms. Everyone ran to the edge, with worried looks on their faces.
That's when everyone noticed Nyx and Arithi started to fly, before they hit the ground. "She's right. We did forget." Callum said to everyone. "Ugh." Rayla and Kali said. "Well I still have an ace up my sleeve." Allen said to everyone, before turning into his Reshiram form. "Swanna, come on out." Allen said, letting out Swanna. "Me and Swanna will go get Zym. You all stay here." Allen said to everyone.
That's when Sandile jumped onto Swanna's back, and Allen and Swanna took off into the air, with Yanma and Gligar following them. "I said just me and Swanna, but whatever." Allen said to everyone, as they flew through the air.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle, after the sun had setted, all the knights in Katolis were outside the castle. And inside, Viren was in the throne room with Claudia, and was losing his patience with Soren. "Soren should be here. Why is he late?" Viren asked Claudia. "Oh, Soren told me he needed some bathroom time. He said he ate some bad cheese, and now he's "paying the price"." Claudia said to Viren, making Viren sigh.
"You do know what he means by "paying the prince"? He means that he's-." Claudia said to Viren, but Viren interrupted her. "Tes, yes, I get it. No need to paint a picture." Viren. "I would only need one color for that picture. Brown." Claudia said to Viren, giggling a little, making Viren place a hand on his head, and sighed again.
That's when Kasef came running into the throne room. "Lord Viren, we have a problem." Kasef said to Viren. "What is it?" Viren asked Kasef. "Deserters." Kasef said to Viren. "Deserters?! How did this happen?" Viren asked Kasef.
"Apparently, the people had heard about what happened in the throne room earlier. And are leaving for two reasons. One, they're scared to face a man with the power of the Black Dragon. And two and the main reason. They heard the lie that Drake said, that you sent the elves to kill our Kings and Queens, not Xadia, and will not follow you." Kasef said to Viren.
"Drake. He and his brother always ruin everything." Viren said to everyone, clenching his fist. "If you can't convince your army to march with us, our forces will be weakened greatly." Kasef said to Viren. "Don't worry, I'll get them to march with us." Viren said to Kasef, before leaving the throne room.
Viren then walked outside and stood on a balcony above all the knights. Claudia and Kasef followed him, and while Claudia was in a good mood, Kasef was not, and this made Claudia's mood go from good to bad.
That's when Claduia noticed Saleer nearby, with a piece of fabric wrapped over her head and under his jaw, and an electric scar on the right side of his face. "Hey Saleer, how are you doing? You know with the broken jaw and all?" Claudia asked Saleer. Saleer just groaned at her. "Right, sorry." Claudia said to Saleer.
Then Viren started his speech. "I am humbled to stand before you. You are the greatest fighting force in the history of humankind!" Viren said to the knights, with only a small number of the knights cheering, many of them were still silent, not that Viren was expediting that.
"Xadia hates us. They hate humanity. And they would destroy us if we let them. And I know they're are many rumors flowing around. But those rumors are false, spread by Drake Fischer, a man who sides not with humans, but with Pokemon, and would see our lands taken over by Pokemon. But we will fight back!" Viren said to everyone, and again only the small number of the knights cheered, with Claudia and Kasef clapping.
"Buy before we embark on our journey across the world, a journey that will change history, there is one unpleasant matter." Viren said to everyone, and while most of the knights were quiet, Claudia was shocked a little.
"You see, Ezran, in his last act as king, insisted that all those who no longer wish to fight be allowed to lay down their arms." Viren said to everyone, surprising everyone. "Well, go on, leave us cowards. We don't want you anyway. Yes cowards leave, if you don't want to help rid the world of the Xadia and Pokemon threats then leave." Viren said to everyone.
Then Marcos stepped forward first. "So you would have us kill the very creatures that saved my life, all for your madness?" Marcos asked Viren. "The very same creatures that gave my only daughter such joy. You would have me take it away from her and break her heart, all for your needless war?" A female knight asked Viren as she stepped forward. "The creatures that I call my friends. The creature that makes my day better. I should get rid of him, and fight elves and dragons simply because you think it's what's best for us all?" A male knight asked Viren as he stepped forward.
Then all three of them then threw their weapons to the ground. Then many more joined them in tossing their weapons. While this was going on, the knights not throwing their weapons to the ground were bowing at the people who were, all the while Viren was giving these people a mean look.
This caused the knights who didn't throw their weapons to get mad at the ones that did. "No, no, let them be! Let them return safely to their families. But even their families will know that they are deserters." Viren said to everyone, holding up a metal badge, the metal badge was that of a broken chain with a lighting bolt being the thing that broke it.
"They will wear a badge on their clothing. A badge of shame and cowardice, a broken link! Broken by them siding with Pokemon, rather than their fellow humans." Viren said to everyone, as a cart full of the badges came rolling in, and a lot of knights started to take the badges.
But the knights that took the badge did not think of them as a symbol of shame. They all took it with pride and wore it with honor. After the knights all had their symbol on them, they walked out of the castle, heads held high. Once all the Knights with the symbols left, Viren noticed that the cart of the badges was nearly empty, meaning a little under 1/3 of the Katolis army was left. This annoyed Viren a lot, even if his face didn't show it. That over 2/3 of the army decided to walk away in the name of the Pokemon, and not for the salvation of humanity.
"A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. It is better to be rid of our weak links today!" Viren said to everyone, trying to salvage what he could. All the knights left, cheered for Viren. This made Viren feel powerful.
That's when Soren finally made it. "Sorry I'm late. What'd I miss?" Soren asked everyone. But no one answered him. That's when one of Kasef's men ran up to Kasef with a piece of paper in hands. Kasef read the paper. "Lord Viren, you need to read this!" Kasef said to Viren, walking up to Viren, and handing Viren the paper.
Viren read the paper, and noticed it had the amount of troops they still had. And out of four human kingdoms, they only had enough troops for 2.5 kingdoms worth of armies. Viren then crumbled the paper in a rage, but kept a normal face up so no one would know how angry he was.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, Nyx and Arithi were flying through the sky, dodging Allen, Swanna, Sandile, Yanma and Gligar attacks, and with Zym squawking all the while. "What do we do? How can we follow them when she's flying?" Callum asked Rayla and Kali. "At the moment we have to have faith in Allen and the Pokemon.
"Hand him over!" Allen said to Nyx. "Like I'd do that, Mr. White." Nyx said to Allen. "Bombirdier." Arithi said, as she made rock fall from the sky, forcing everyone away from her and Nyx. "Send Arithi crashing to the ground with Ice Beam!" Allen said to Swanna. "Swanna." Swanna said, as she fired a light blue beam. But Arithi dodged the beam.
Then Gligar tried to slash Arithi with her claws glowing silver, at the same time Yanma fired a sonic burst from his wings. But Arithi dodged the attack with ease. "We have to stop her from Moving around!" Allen said to the Pokemon, as Swanna flew at Arithi trying to tackle her, only for Arithi to dodge the attacks.
That's when Sandile jumped off Swanna's back, and landed on Arithi's back. Sandile then bit into Arithi's right wing. This made Arithi scream in pain, and fly in place, trying to shake Sandile off. Then Yanma started to glow, and fired a rock with a fossil in it at Arithi. The rock hit her right in the chest, and knocked her out of the sky. That's when Sandile jumped off Arithi's back and onto Swanna's back. "That Sandile is a clever one." Allen said, before they all noticed Yanma glowing blue.
That's when Yanma doubled in size, three slat spikes appeared on its head and back, and a flat spike on the end of its now flat tail. Then the light faded, revealing Yanma's new look. His body was dark green with red spots on the sides of its body and on the flat part of his tail, his eyes were red, his wings now had red ovals on the end of it, and two tiny wings attached to the side end of the tail.
"Figures. The second he learns Ancient Power. He evolved into Yanmega." Allen said.
That's when Zym started to let out some zaps. Zym used the zaps to break free of Nyx's arm's and started to climb on Nyx. "Hey, cut it out, you little zap monster! Ah!" Nyx said to Zym. "He's not a monster. He's the Dragon Prince. And this is what you get for kidnapping him. Allen said to Nyx, as Zym bit into Nyx's wing, this made Nyx crash where Arithi crashed.
"Nice work Zym." Allen said to Zym, as Zym flew to his shoulders. After watching this, Rayla tossed a rope over the edge. "Here we go!" Rayla said to Callum, grabbing Callum, and jumping over the end. This made Callum scream, as Rayla did some fancy twists, as they went down. Once they reached the bottom, Rayla let go of Callum and the rope, and while she landed on her feet sliding on the ground, Callum didn't and laned like a stone skipping on water.
Allen noticed this and flew up to Kali. "Would my lady prefer an easier way down?" Allen asked Kali, holding out a hand. "Oh, how gentlemanly of you." Kali said to Allen, taking his hand, and sitting on his lap, as Allen went down.
Allen and Kali then laned next to Callum and Rayla, as Callum finally got up. "Wow!" How'd you learn to do that?" Callum asked Rayla, as the Swanna, Yanmega, Gligar, and Sandile landed next to all of them, and as Bouffalant and Rapidash came running up with Lurantis still riding Rapidash. "I've never done that before in my life!" Rayla said to Callum.
That's when Zym flew from Allen to Callum for a hug. "Zym! You're okay. I'm so sorry we lost you." Callum said to Zym. Zym then started to give callum licks, licks full of electricity, zapping Callum a little. "Ow. Careful." Callum said to Zym, as he hugged Zym. "Allen, what's Yanma's new form?" Callum asked Allen. "Here, and it's Yanmega now." Allen said, as he turned back to normal and pulled out his Pokedex.
Yanmega/ Ogre Darner Pokemon / Flying + Bug Type / By churning its wings, it creates shock waves that inflict critical internal injuries to foes.
"Help! Help us!" Nyx cried out, as Allen put his Pokedex away. That's when everyone ran to see Nyx and Arithi at the bottom of a hill. "Our wings are hurt. We can't fly." Nyx said to everyone, as Soulfangs started to come out of the sand, making everyone gasp.
"Soulfangs." Nyx said, as she and Arithi were surrounded by Soulfangs, and trying their best not to get bitten, and with their wings hurt, they could fly away. "Why did it have to be soulfangs?" Nyx asked everyone.
A Forest
Back in the forest, Abigail and Barius were loading Ezran's backpack with food. "You, Drake, and your Pokemon are going back to Xadia and finding your brothers. As soon as your ride gets here." Corvus said to Ezran, before they heard a cawing. "Sounds like it's here." Drake said to everyone.
That's when everyone noticed Phoe-Phoe come flying in, with a bright moon light behind her, and Lujanne and Vale on her back. This made Ezran smile. Then Phoe-Phoe landed in front of everyone. "Everyone, this is Lujanne and her Zoroark, Vale. They're friends. But they like to play tricks on us." Drake said to everyone.
"I was surprised to receive a message from Katolis." Lujanne said to everyone, as Corvus helped her and Vale off Phoe-Phoe, and Lujanne pulled out a letter. "It's not signed, but I assume it's from the strapping young idiot." Lujanne said to everyone. "How can you tell?" Abigail asked Lujanne.
Lujanne then opened the letter and started to read it. "Dear Moon lady…" Lujanne said to everyone. "Ugh. But me and Vale are happy to help." Lujanne said to everyone. "Goodbye, Opeli. Thank you for believing in me." Ezran said to Opeli. "I serve the true king." Opeli said to Ezran, and Bait hopped into Ezran's shoulder.
"Corvus, I'm sorry I let you down as king. It only took me a few days to mess everything up." Ezran said to Corvus. "Are you kidding? In your first few days as king, you showed more courage, strength and grace than most leaders show in a lifetime." Corvus said to Ezran.
"He's right. It's Viren's fault all this happened. He set you up to fail. Once this is all over, we'll get you back on the throne, and I'm sure you'll be a great king." Abigail said to Ezran, as Barius ran up and hugged Ezran and Bait from behind, with a big hug. "Oh. Goodbye, Ezran. Ho, ho, ho. Goodbye, Bait." Barius said to Ezran and Bait, as Bait turned purple and blue. "Easy Barius. They need to breathe." Drake said to Barius, before Barius put Ezran and bait down.
"Time to go, Ezran and Drake. Phoe-Phoe will be strongest traveling at night." Lujanne said to everyone, as she helped Ezran and Bait on Phoe-Phoe, with Drake, Lycanroc, and Darumaka got onto Phoe-Phoe's back.
"Wait. There's something I have to do before you go." Abigail said to everyone. "And that is?" Drake asked Abigail. Abigail then pulled Drake down, and kissed him on the lips, surprising Drake. Abigail then broke the kiss. "Just in case I never see you again." Abigail said to Drake. "You will see me again, and when you do, I'll take you on a few over do dates." Drake said to Abigail before Phoe-Phoe took off into the sky, with Ezran yelling in enjoyment.
"So, how are you and Vale going to get home?" Corvus asked Lujanne and Vale. "Oh, I thought I might spend a few days traveling in disguise, messing with some humans." Lujanne said to Corvus, before casting a spell, turning her into a human. And Vale turned into a very fluffy black dog.
"How do you humans say it? Party time!" Lujanne said to everyone, earning a "seriously" look from everyone. "Just stay out of trouble. Please." Abigail said to Lujanne.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, Nyx and Arithi were still surrounded by Soulfangs. "Please. You have to help us!" Nyx said to everyone. Rayla scoffed. "Callum, Get Zym and everyone back to the Ambler." Rayla said to Callum, before sliding down the hill with her blades in hand.
Then as the Soulfangs started to attack Nyx and Arithi, they got really scared and hid in their wings. That's when Rayla reached them, and started to slash the Soulfangs. "Stay right behind me." Rayla said to Nyx and Arithi. "Okay." Nyx said to Rayla, as Arithi nodded in agreement.
But the Soulfangs started to swarm them, and they couldn't move. "We have to do something!" Callum said to everyone. "How? If we go down there, we get caught in the middle of it. And if we fire attacks, it may end up causing a Soulfang to land on one of them. We can't do anything!" Kali said to Callum. "We can't. But I might have a long shot buried somewhere in this bag." Allen said to everyone, as he started to dig through his bag.
"Found it!" Allen said, before pulling out an old fang. "Gligar catch." Allen said to Gligar, throwing the fang. Gligar then caught the fang, and started to glow blue. "I hope this works." Allen said, as Gligar started to change.
Gligar doubled in size, its glide wings broke free of her arms and became a cap-like glider, her piners became larger clamper piners with edges in the clamper, her tail became longer with two points ending it, and her horns became ears. Then her light faded revealing the cap was black, the arms and belly were red, and the rest of the body was dark grey, with yellow eyes, and red ears.
"What the?" Kali asked everyone. "Everyone, this is Gliscor. She is a Pokemon that needs an item at night to evolve. Here." Allen said to everyone, before pulling out his Pokedex.
Gliscor/ Fang Scorp Pokemon / Ground + Flying Type / It observes prey while hanging from branches. When the chance presents itself, Gliscor swoops.
"And it looked like my gamble worked. Gliscor use Rock Tomb." Allen said to Gliscor, after reading his Pokedex. "Gliscor!" Gliscor said, as she slammed her tail into the ground. This caused rocks to pop out of the ground, forming a wall around Rayla, Nyx and Arithi, keeping the Soulfangs away from everyone.
With the rocks blocking the way of the Soulfangs, Rayla, Nyx, and Arithi ran up the hill, with everyone pulling Nyx and Arithi up to help them. Rayla on the other hand didn't need help, and did a flip as she got over the hill. And while everyone ran for the Ambler, Callum was staring at Rayla in wonder, with Zym on his shoulders.
Rayla noticed that. "Callum! Why aren't you running?" Rayla asked Callum. "Right. Sorry. Sorry." Callum said to Rayla, as he started to run. The Ambler lowered her tail, and allowed everyone to get onto her.
"So, why did you save me and Arithi? Even after we tricked you and betrayed you? It's because we're charming, right? Despite it all, you can't help but like us?" Nyx asked Rayla, as Rayla pulled up the rope she used. "Nope, that's not it. I do not like you or Arithi at all." Rayla said to Nyx. "Oh. Then, why?" Nyx asked Rayla.
"It's because Rayla is a hero." Callum said to Nyx. "What?" Rayla asked Callum. "Rayla saves people. She's brave. She does what's right, even if it puts her own lie in danger, and even when the odds seem impossible. Even when it means her own people might misunderstand and turn against her. Rayla is selfless, strong and caring. That's what makes her a hero. That's what makes her Rayla." Callum said to Nyx, while looking at Rayla.
Nyx and Arithi then headed for the Ambler's head. "You are so…" Callum said to Rayla, before kissing Rayla on the lips. Rayla melted into the kiss. That's when Callum broke the kiss. "Oh, no. I'm so… I'm sorry. I just got carried away. Next thing I knew, my lips were getting away ahead of me, and-" Callum said to Rayla, but Rayla interrupted him.
"Shut up." Rayla said to Callum. "What?" Callum asked Rayla. Rayla then grabbed Callum by the scarf and pulled him closer. Rayla then kissed Callum, and they both melted in the kiss. "Wow." Callum said to Rayla, as he and Rayla wrapped their arms around each other, before kissing again.
Not long after that, Rayla and Callum went to sleep, holding each other in their arms, with the Pokemon going to sleep before them. "You think these two will be able to live happily?" Kali asked Allen, as Allen returned all of his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, and put a blanket over Callum and Rayla.
"I'd be lying if I said yes. I know they'll have a hard time. But I believe they'll make it work." Allen said to Kali. "You may be right about the hard time. A human and elf in love. That's something most humans and elves won't like." Kali said to Allen. "But it'll prove that we can move past the hate and live in peace." Allen said to Kali. "But you have to wonder how many people will feel about it?" Kali asked Allen.
"And how do you feel about it?" Allen asked Kali. "What do you mean?" Kali asked Allen. "I mean? How do you feel about me? That kiss we had the other day felt amazing, but we didn't get a chance to talk about it because of Nyx and Arithi." Allen said to Kali.
"You want to know how I feel about you. Well, to be honest. I'm scared. At first, I didn't like you. But over this journey my feelings changed, and now I don't know what to feel. If I care about you more than a friend, my people, maybe even my family will abandon me. But when I think of going home, and choosing my people and family over you, I feel this longing feeling. And that's why I'm scared. I feel my heart being pulled into two different directions." Kali said to Allen, holding a hand over her heart.
Allen then took her hand. "Kali, thank you for being honest with me. And I wish I could tell you that everything will be okay, but I don't know. What I do know is that, so long as I live, and Reshiram willing, I will be by your side. So no matter what happens when this is all over, You'll still have me, and I'll have you." Allen said to Kali.
"But what if we have to separate after all this?" Kali asked Allen. "Then you'll be in my heart, and I'll be in yours. And I'll work so that we can be together one day." Allen said to Kali. "I'd rather not wait so long for that day." Kali said to Allen.
"Then why don't we start now. So you can see what joy I can bring to you, and it'll give me even more of a reason to come back to you." Allen said to Kali. "Now I like that idea." Kali said to Allen, before wrapping her arms around Allen's neck, and kissed him, both of them melted in the kiss.
